Butch is rightly regarded as one of the most prolific producers in electronic music, having graced countless revered labels including Sei es Drum, Cocoon, Rekids and Visionquest. On FTS he makes his long overdue debut on Desolat with four deep and distinctive tracks. Opening track 'Pompino' kicks off the EP with a distorted rhythm and contorted vocals which build and build into a twisted and trippy groove. 'Dimensions' follows in a similar vein, developing slowly and building tension until the tracks drops back in a distorted fashion with distinctive bells and unnerving harmonies. B-side 'Desert Storm' captivates the listener from the off, with a hypnotic rhythm until the track lives up to its exotic name and sees a wailing vocal comes in and cut through the beat. 'Sonny Got It Going On' rounds off the EP in fine style. Proceeding at a slower BPM, it features crisp drums and a dusty gangster-movie sample, culminating in a distinctive and classy slice of electronic music. On 'FTS' Butch lives up to his billing as one of the finest producers around, delivering a four-track twisted and hedonistic journey through expertly crafted underground sounds.

With number 006, FREUNDCHEN welcomes our new member SASCHA WALLUS from Hannover to the FREUNDCHEN-family. His a-side track 'Yeah!' is a stompin techhouse track that will rock the clubs this winter for sure! The b-side comes with a groovy minimal track of labelchief TIMO JAHNS. Yeah! Are you ready to freak out

Welcome back to the Cocoon Recordings headquarter. We are proud to present the next chapter of our infamous compilation-series and believe or not: It's 'M' already! Covered in the known and beloved package-design but all in pink this time... dreamy and pretty and that's the way to start the music here, too. Dutch based sushitech-producer Makam presents a dreamy opening track that is without any doubt the perfect start for this compilation. Warm harmonies and dropping sounds open up the door for track number two by Matt Tolfrey and Inxec: 'Never in doubt' continues where Makam stopped however Tolfreys and Inxecs harmonies and the moody atmosphere meet a solid beat programming and merge down to a pushing piece of music that could have seen the day of light in Detoit, the inofficial techno-capital. Alejandro Mosso joins the club with the third number of our M compilation and he opens up a bag full of positive energy and happiness. With a slight Cadenza-feeling his tune is made for the next beach-party and perfect for all you Âme-fans out there. 'Grinding Love' want you to move, forget and dance till you sweat! Douglas Greed steps back a bit on the energy scale but adds more craziness to the package with his production. 'Dynamite' is a freaky piece of tech-house in a cool Green Velvet style. Sounds, lyrics and the whole programming come pretty close to the lala-land-masters big hits. A cool tune with not very usual ingredients and for sure a great one! Coming up next is 'Beatmakerz".

For thousands of years the concept of time has been a matter of debate. The perception and ideas about time is still a controversial subject. Time is used to measure and study a chain of events or as an instrument of controlling a sequence. Scientists us it to measure while every day use of time means being in time for a departing train, leaving from a certain place in a three dimensional space.
Modern day man would also argue that scientific and philosophical theories aside, time becomes more important with age. From a psychological perspective, our perception of time seems to alter with age as many people feel a day becomes shorter and shorter. Indeed, a young persons day would be about approximately 1/4,000 of their life while one day to a 55-year-old would be approximately 1/20,000 of their life.
Perhaps is time the biggest factor determining the destiny of our lives, it's a necessity but also a burden. Time makes our machines work tirelessly, following orders from a programmed time line. Time dictates our existence in space between point A and point B in which we are supposed to live and spire. Time is the difference between making the right decision or for ever remorse the irreversible. To quote Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, during our predestined life there is "a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace".

the 1st release by DJ Aik! it's a great progressive tech monster !!! don't miss !!!

Shades rises from the minds of Korova . The aim is at drawing new nuances in the immaginary spectrum of techno , to get the hearing closer to the sound of those hidden mechanical shadows . Shades lives on dark visions and primitive rhythms , but nevertheless trusts in a future controlled by a lightning plot between humans and technologies.

first pressing in limited red coloured vinyl !!!
Beatport superstar Luigi Rocca (better known as Marshall) is back with his friends Buratti on Sphera, with a massive slamming Tech House Tune. As patners in this adventure we present two excellent remixers: the italian Hugo (Great Stuff, Mobilee, Formatik, Kling Klong) and the french hero Kiko (GoodLife, Rekluse, Datapunk, Break New Soil).

Jacek Sienkiewicz Already 32nd release on Recognition Records is a very special one - as two great individuals join forces for a pretty special cause. Produced together with the Goethe Institut in Warsaw, the records aims to celebrate 200th anniversary of the birth of Richard Wagner - the extraordinary composer, whose attitude towards any contemporary music medium was as much shocking, as inspiring. The label boss Jacek Sienkiewicz invited his companion Uwe Schmidt (known also as Atom ™, Atom Heart, Senor Coconut and a myriad of other disguises) to take a look at Wagner's work - and here we are, with two totally different, but equally challenging variations on a theme. Atom TM's tune is a majestic, classically-composed ambient piece, inspired by the famous Tristan Chord from Wagner's opera, 'Tristan & Isolde". This track goes a way from quiet to almost bombastic, and for any means dramatic, which makes perfectly sense here. A serious, somewhat sordid, electronic tale of loss and separation, driven to o point of stubbornness rather than resignation, it fits the theme perfectly, at the same time being a very special addition to Atom's vast catalogue. On the flipside, Jacek Sienkiewicz goes all deep techno in his epic 'The Phantom Of Bayreuth". So much different than Warsaw producers' recent, complex work, it goes straight for some haunting string arrangement, soon underpinned by a muffled, minimal groove. Both main layers shift and intertwine, illustrating, as Jacek puts it, 'the struggle, the drama, the passion one can find in Wagner's music". Neo-classical approach to a modern club rhythms Stripped-down Romantic machine music

Retro was the by far most overworked musical term in all areas house and techno. And well, we have to admit it it: So is this release by our new player MATT JOHN and his debut for Cocoon Recordings. However, this time "retro" works a bit different. It's Sheffield, Warp, the early Hacienda- and LFO-days that are shining through here. No massive Kink-like-909-programming, no Chicago- and no New-York-house revival and finally not just another London- and Berlin-hipster-soundtrack. We are talking northern sound inspired techno here, dark but hedonistic, analogue synths and for those who
remember: A Certain Ratio feeling all over the place! Of course this is what we hear here and what we feel and we have no idea if Matt John did all this on purpose but to be honest: We don't care! This is great, this is good, this is techno as we like it and most important: This is hard to find these days. So let the show begin, ladies & gentlemen here comes MATT JOHN!

After 6 months with only digital releases, I'm really proud to annouce the
new JETT Records vinyl.
I was looking for a very special sound for this new one and Miyagi gave
me these 2 amazing tracks 'Hitchrock' and 'Night Fever'. Both are pure
driving tunes made for kill the dancefloors. I was already a Miyagi's sound
follower and also a great fan of his label (Rennbahn Records), but now I can
say that Miyagi is, without a doubt, one of the most promising artists from
Germany.
On the remixers' side nothing less than famous Moodmusic manager
Sasse, and smart Tech House producers Andreas Henneberg & Daniel Nitsch
aka The Glitz. Both reworks show how these guys know their job. Nothing
more to say, just listen.

Secret....like always

It is a pleasure to present the second release of the two brothers Dietrich & Strolch called
Nothingness (NM003). It bases on the two Tracks Nothingness and N'importe with Remixes
from Alex Q (Kleinstadtfeeling, DE) and Andreas Foxx (Foxysound, S) It's a pleasure to have
this two big producers on board who each joined the EP with a Remix. Check it Out!
