Youandewan's utterly spellbinding and unutterably lovely '1988' is given the remix treatment by one of the few artists with a delicate enough touch to handle it with the care it deserves.

Jimpster teases in a beautifully soft synth hook from the outset followed by the heavenly keys of the original before bringing the entire mix together with a gently bubbling bassline.

Original mix rings in deep, jazzy, ambient tones and melodic washes. Dub mix works up a generous
heaping of body-shaking bass and melodies

Welcome to the next Ilamives Release, after a break the "Ibiza Brothers" are back with their new track "flower power", a nice toolish tech house track perfect for the peaktime sets.
On the Flip the guys are proud to welcome Matt Star on board. He made a reduced dub remix of his fevourite ilamives track "era una vez". Enjoy!

Introspective sounds from this Japanese producer w/some hypnotic, deep techno. Releases on Ilian Tape & Fragil Musique led up to this release, which includes a taste remix from label owner Patrice Scott.

4th vinyl of limited Unbalance Series !!

Counter Pulse stays substantial to the underground model & presents a mysterious alias by the Scandinavian artist "Lodbrok". In contrast to other vinyl labels today Counter Pulse show no agenda to pick up the current trends and safe-name remixers to gain quick sales.

Feukt Call EP is precisely all that in a nicely shaped up four tracker release including a remix by Henning Baer from Sonic Groove, plus a remix from AnD from Black Sun Records.

Ponderous irregular rhythms with a focus on erosion & intense hi-hat patterns with cautiously arranged stabs is what this EP is all about.

After remixing Idriss D's smash-hit 'Cross My Mind', Lausanne's Mirko Loko is back on Memento with a superb release taking us on a journey of delicate melodies and aethereal atmospheres, showing his unique talent in creating brilliant song structures and compositions.

And as if that wasn't enough, Cadenza's boss and musical master Luciano graces the Italian label with a personal take on Mirko's track , once more highlighting his unrivalled vision in shaping emotional soundscapes and exquisitely fine sonic moods.

'Gipsy-Q''s rhythm is lively and mesmerizing, with bubbly percussions and wispy bells interspersed with uplifting bright sounds.
At various points, a bass chord progression cuts through, giving the feeling of a dream-like fortune teller's prayer moving in a persistent motion.

Luciano slows it down just a bit and designs a funkier bass line coupled with trippy aqueous drumming and out of time tribal choirs.
Rootsy and raw snare backbeats go hand in hand with swinging scat singings, and a rousing vagabond gitano feeling flows throughout the record.
The stream of ancestral rituals, the spirit of travellers who wander the lands and reach far away places is the inspiration behind this wonderful piece of work.
A folk ballad in its true original meaning, this one is made for the souls that roam the earth.

Two months only into the new year, Mirko Loko and Luciano give us another excellent example of their eclectic taste, already establishing this ep as a standout in Memento's 2012 discography.

Following the mammoth 'Dynamite & Laserbeams' remix package and a stream of hard hitting releases in 2011 from Fergie himself, Excentric Muzik turns to Arjun Vagale to provide the 38th EXM release as he makes his full debut on the label...

After the well received Clone s.o.s. ''all around the fires'' ep and his debut VIDD 001, Marco Shuttle starts an adventure with his very own Eerie records label. First trip is a great 3 track ep in Marco's signature sound. Deep, super deep acid & 808 driven grooves and dark dubby reverbed drums and dramatic strings. Phat tracks that sometimes remind of early Aphex Twin works on the selected ambient works and surfing on Sinewaves... but then the Marco Shuttle way. Dont sleep on this one! Recommended.

Grey Series, an offshot of the already well established M_Rec Ltd., aims at celebrating the reclusiveness of techno, its core ideas, its attitudes and its most recent mutations. Traditions that while remaining, have allowed today's artists to conceive uncompromising and exciting sounds.
Its first release sees Juho Kahilainen explore dark and glacial territories.
"Epilogue " is the end of the darkest set, with its sinister piano moving slowly on a set of digital sounds meant to shut off any source of light. "We Heard it Coming" enhances stripped down techno with echoes of what seems to be field recordings from an unexplored locations. "Rotko " dims the light down with its flirty, crepuscular details. Acid and irresistible, it's a trip that carries you on and on. "The Less We Try " takes a dramatic turn, where a beat that pays tribute to acid sounds encounter a martial soundwave and its tense and dooming melody.
Grey Series is dedicated to everyone who lives techno today, who recognizes that there's a whole array of possibilities to explore, away from whatever the dancefloor requires.

For this 22nd release on Lomechanik we present the EP 'When Her Language Goes On Holiday' by Urkelle, which will be available on vinyl and digitally. Intelligent, deep bass music that fits just as well on the dancefloor as on your
headphone. Urkelle is one of the aliases of Steve Mensink, a Dutch producer which is based in the city of Utrecht. This EP resonates with an intruiging tension between repetition and progression. The release will appeal to the
fans of the subtle progressions of Theo Parrish, as well as those of the broken bass music by Objekt or the hypnotic atmospheres of classic Autechre releases.

Heroes in their own domain for some time now, the Hanne & Lore guys are tearing up dance floors
in Germany week by week, and here on their debut on MBF they show their crazy sound
constructions that accomplish a sheer unbelievable cross over quality.
"Samba Olek" jumps form Techno to House to Reggea always keeping the cool beat that rocks
steady till the end.
"Ritmo Forte" makes spirals out of sounds, spinning, spinning, spinning till everyone is unconscious...
these beats drive you mad... this is over the top in a good way.
Try these tracks and you will find the formula is a magic one.
big support from Sian, Luciano, Taster Peter, Mauro Picotto, Mihalis Safras, Steve Lawler, Nick Warren, Slam and many moore.

Not without good reason is the motto of this year's Cocoon Ibiza season "Into the Magic", as the sun-
drenched Balearic island is steeped in a special enchantment. So, with great enthusiasm, the team around
Sven V‰th apply themselves to the 13th season in Ibiza, and you don't have to be a prophet to predict
some historic club nights at the Amnesia. Also the acoustic 'warm up' in the form of the Cocoon Ibiza
Summer Mix CD, established in 2007, makes your eyes glow intensely with excitement this year, as
Cocoon was able to get Cassy and Joris Voorn doing the mix, two absolute DJ highlights in this season.

After five years long-time friends Dandi & Ugo are back on Stereo Seven Plus; and they're back with a new stylish e.p. made of two tracks and one remix. Kway is a techno stomper with an 80s feel and a great punk vocal part; the remix by Piatto - well-known dj/producer and partner of the duo in their Italo Business - is something really analog and tasty. Raoul's Boat is a genius track that comes from a sample of a ship approaching the dock: that siren will drive you crazy!

A fresh Dynamo EP on Planet Rhythm with 3 originals and a Reeko! Remix. Atmospheric techno at it's best. The Reeko remix is a nice scenic travel through 7 minutes of your lifre. Highly Anticipated.

We've always been a fan of Pablo Bolivar's sound. He already did a track on Curle018 and we're glad to have him back on board for a double EP this time. In the meantime he released an album (as Pulshar) & EP on Loco Dice's Desolat label, did remixes for Audision, Mikkel Metal & SCSI-9, and continued to run his own AvantRoots imprint.
The Spark EP consists of a 10" and a 12". The 10" includes two dreamy ambient/electronica tracks, and an oldschool electro remix by Versalife - better known as Conforce. The 12" consists of Pablo Bolivar's signature slightly dub orientated deep techno sound. The package is being released on colored & marbled vinyl, limited to 300 copies.

BOMB ALERT! Hrdvsionís "Prettier Than That" is a monster, created by a monster and is perfectly suited for the likes of Wagon Repair. Dim the lights, because when this record drops it's going to get freaky! On the flip side, Midnight Operator (the duo of Mathew Jonson and Hrdvsion) bring the noise! "Dangerous Behaviour" rains bass in your face! If you caught
their live show on Boiler Room recently then youíll understand. These two are ready to take the dance floors by storm this year - a melding of the analog and digital minds.

Julien Bracht is a young man hailing from Frankfurt and he just started putting out his first records recently. He has been into drums and live percussion since his early childhood and if you ever get a chance to see one of his liveshows you will soon figure out that he is also using this skills in a very
good way for his live performance by integrating a variety of a Live drum set up in each show that he plays. The A side "Taiko" already caught a lot of attention when it was played at Time Warp festival earlier this year and we are pretty sure that you will hear more interesting sounds and rhythms from
this fellow in the near future. Watch out !

RESIDENT ADVISOR REVIEW OF NIC'S BALANCE COMP: 4/5

"When Saved Records boss Nic Fanciulli approached making a mix for the Balance series, his watchword was "timeless." The first of the two CDs here leans mostly on tracks from the last year or so, varying in style, but threaded together seamlessly enough so that each of the 27 tracks seem to complement each other almost perfectly. Opening with what would be classed as a traditional intro—the atmospheric "Raindrops" by Luca & Bruno—Fanciulli gently coaxes the listener in before picking up the pace, working his way from the louche "Goma" by Iron Curtis into more dance floor-orientated deep house with Franck Roger and Mandel Turner's anthemic "After All." From there on in he threads together a batch of music that seems to pertain to his "timeless" intentions, Ricardo Villabos and Jay Haze's inimitable "Fenlow" finds bedfellows in Quell's garage-tinged "Joy" and Igor Vicente and Vernon Bara's Visionquest release "Don't Feel No Way."

Fanciulli's wealth of experience shines through throughout the mix, displaying a slick approach to mixing and confident transitions between styles. But what underpins it all is the simplicity of his composition: he doesn't try too hard to overdo things, with the mix flowing organically and reaching a natural conclusion with modern anthem "Here's Your Trance Now Dance" by Omar-S.

CD two is a showcase for Fanciulli's label, Saved. A further 26 tracks feature, with nine remixes recorded especially for the mix. In keeping with the label's ethos, there's representation from both the older heads (Stacey Pullen, Rolando, etc.) and younger talents like Robert James, Clio and Samu.l. The latter makes his presence felt with "Forgiven," which cheekily "borrows" the riff from MK's 1993 classic remix of "Can You Forgive Her" by the Pet Shop Boys. From the more populist house productions at the beginning of the CD there's a logical progression through to more uncompromising rolling techno, like Fanciulli's own remix of "Definition" by Loco Dice. It's a distinct switch up, but it in no way feels awkward as the unrelenting beats creep in and start to pound. Fanciulli's skill has always been in his ability to weave between these things effortlessly, with keen attention paid to transitions. He brings this to bear on Balance 021 in triumphant fashion. "

Remember our first vinyl introducing the Belgian Plastikman Nico is back!

Emerson Todd is our prized import from New Zealand. Since settling in Berlin, he's become a valuable team member at the Upon You headquarters, improving our English by cracking jokes and also assisting in the studio with technical needs. The man with a plan! Back in NZ he produced some well-known bands, but his relocation to Berlin sparked his specialization in tech-house. The results of his work have been heard on several labels including Cocoon and Saved Records, but for his third EP he returns to Upon You, once again showing his keen interest in funky sample work, pulled from his dusty vinyl collection. A1 'Inside Out' and A2 'Streetwalker' exhale radio moments from the past, but bolstered by the contemporary construction of modern power tools. The B-side is a winning remix harvested from the Thuringian Forest with a pounding climax, custom built by Mr. Mathias Kaden.

Around 3 weeks before the release of Oliver Deutschmann's double cd Slim Audio Wax01 comes as an ‚appetizer' for that multimediapackage. We see the brilliant Christopher Rau and Moomin team up for the drum fuelled deepness of 'A Place at Night', Deutschmann himself at his most retrospective in 'Tourist Crap and Milton Bradley delivers his experimental and ‚sick' interpretation of Oliver Deutschmann's Tourist Crap track. Oldschool techno and house all the way. Enjoy!!!
