Break New Soil kickstarts into 2012 with chapter 4 of our "Breaking New Soil" series.
Macromism ride high on the waves of success of their monster track "Groover" on Rawthentic, and the two Italians manage to keep the pace high on their debut for BNS: "Rave Nu World"! Label Veteran Daniele Papini graces BNS once again with his unmistakable production and the subtle arpeggiated beauty in his latest track "Staying Away From Me", and last but not least we are glad to present a track by labelowner Gregor Tresher together with German Marathon-DJ Karotte, that has been a secret weapon in both of their sets for a long time and finally sees the light of day - today.

GoldFFinch kick of 2012 for Saigon
Recordings with a highly anticipated release, 2
dancefloor smashers entitled 'Funky Steppa' and
'Groove Panda' originally brought to the surface via
Loefah's Swamp81 RinseFM shows and since
championed by Boddika in the majority of his DJ
sets and online charts. Having already had releases
on Numbers, Airflex and 877 Records these Belgian
based producers are set for a great year ahead.
This is EP1 of 2, the second part will be released in
March and features the tracks 'Tip Of The Dog' and

Hemlock are proud to introduce the debut for Brighton boy Guy Andrews. Two tracks of brilliantly unpredictable, percussive wizardry with more twists than a season of the Killing. 'Shades' combines of precision drum edits, killer 808 booms and woodblock percussion that will bring a tear of nostalgia to the eye of the Blue Note & Metalheadz vets and a smile to the face of the most discerning new dancefloors. 'Textures' on the flip kills it with an arrangement that just keeps you guessing. Perfectly poised between light & dark, delicate & heavy, and taking you seamlessly from locked 4/4 to dubbed out techno via all-out percussive funk and back before you know it.

SAY YES TO ANOTHER EXCESS

These two guys seem to be new in the scene, but nevertheless they achieved huge success with their first hit
"Old Shatterhand" which soon reached No.1 in the Deejay.de charts.
With their fresh, funny and modern sound, they exactly know how to please the party people.
Already since the beginning of their young careers they received huge support by the ones like
Felix Bernhardt, Mentalic, Tonk Berlin, Dennis Fröhler, Martin Gruen, F.E., Matico and many more.
This duo definetely hits the right spot, combining classical influences to modern electronic music,
therefore beeing rewarded with two NO.1 hits: "Old Shatterhand" and their second vinyl release "Der kleine Leuchtturm".

Freerange welcome back Salvatore Freda once again for possibly his strongest track yet, along with three very different remixes. Remixer Nebraska has had a string of excellent releases on Rush Hour, with his recent album 'Displacement' getting rave reviews on Resident Advisor.

On the 27th February, Scuba will release his third album through Hotflush. Entitled 'Personality' and featuring 11 brand new tracks, it takes in a wealth of genres across contemporary dance music, proving once again Scuba's place at the cutting edge of the electronic music scene. Preceding his LP will be this single 'The Hope'; pushing on from the tense atmospherics of previous Scuba material, the single fizzes with claustrophobic bass pressure and menacing narration. Backed by an exclusive non-album cut 'Flash Addict'.

Francesco Grant has become an institution of the finest Techno/House tracks on AFU and way beyond and returns with his fourth release and three brand new tunes.
Don't Scream is a prime time piece that delivers with it's cool funky rhythm bed and the cut up samples that became so much of Francesco's trademark .
Everybody Love Me takes his style even further with vocoded vocals and Still Here rounds it up with some mental ladies voice and a fat groove !
Enjoy the ride...

Parquet Recordings look to kick start 2012 in full throttle. As they look to the future, they also have one eye on the past as they revisit one of their most successful releases to date, Gui Boratto's 2006 smash "Paralelo," and deliver three fresh new reworks on what will be the label's 40th Vinyl release. Leading from the front is none other than Parquet label chief, SOLEE. Coming off the back of a successful 2011 which has seen him remix artists including Nick Warren, Cafe Negro, Slideshow Park and Tom Novy. Paying tribute to the emotional original, SOLEE bathes us in layers of warm synths and spine-tingling percussion. Next up is one of 2011's brightest stars, Der Turnbeutel label chief OLIVER SCHORIES. His emotive and powerful productions have seen release on the likes of Darkroom Dubs, Ostwind, Voltage Musique and of course Parquet. Oliver's mix of "Paralelo" is a perfect cinematic soundtrack, complete with mysterious orchestral break and and thunderous final third. Superb. Rounding out the package is fellow german BOSS AXIS, who takes "Paralelo" on a wonderfully warm and elegant trip. Deep, smooth and uplifting its the perfect winter warmer.

Mathias Bradler is a new face on micro.fon but not new to the game. Under his full name, he delivers exactly the deep and dark techno sound we are looking for. A strong collection of deep, dubby and bass-driven technojourneys, based on minimalistic soundscapes and dry patterns. On remix duties we got the infamous Pawn Shop People, known for their 12inch, recently released on Stylerockets LTD. They added percussion and funk to the original and turned it into a essential dj-tool, which guarantees full impact on the floor.Early support by Richie Hawtin, DVS1, Rapha Dincsoy & Slam

already played by gregor tresher, karotte, tobi neumann, butch, kabale und liebe, ...

Toolroom Trax deliver their 3rd installment of summer samplers packed with huge club tracks and underground house from Fedde le Grand, Richard Dinsdale, Sean Miller & Daniel Dubb and Funkagenda & Adam K

limited 2x12" pack !!

supported by: Laurent Garnier, Patrick Bateman, Tony Rohr, Phil Kieran, Butch, Andrew Grant and more. FVF's first signing and one of the signature sounds of the label, Albert Dros, aka Reagen or Sjaakflut, releases FVF's first 12" of 2012 with the Searchlight EP. Under his various aliases Albert has seen releases on Leftroom, Sk Supreme, Monocline, Front and many more. His basslines and production speak very much for themselves and he opens his account for 2012 with a release aimed firmly at packed dance floors and peak hours. The 12" also sees Valencian duo Attemporal on remix duties. Attemporal released their Retrolight EP on FVF with Clement Meyer on remix in late 2011. Having clocked up releases on labels like TicTacToe, Resopal Schallware and Sleaze we are delighted to have them back in the FVF fold and on top form again.

Volksmusik vom Balkan KÜSST Techno... sooooo fettt. Spätestens seit Shantel durch die Lande zieht ist der Sound auch bei uns bekannt. Spam Chop, more sensibly known as Lukas Cole, has been a long serving proprietor of wonky, complex and intricate music, or as Mary Anne Hobbs described it when she showcased his music on Radio 1, "rude boy techno". As head honcho of the aurally inspiring and visually sumptuous Wigflex label, club night and clothing line, Lukas has been pushing other people's tunes on vinyl for over five years now. So, the ever-timely collective at MiMM have decided enough is enough and it's about time the left-of-centre techno producer brought his own tunes to the table. Title track 'Cuckup' operates in the realms of the cinematic, with stunning chords dripping and bending their way through a soft terrain that is only interrupted by percussion which scuttles the track forward like little cracks of white noise. On the backside, there's the dancefloor-driven duo of 'Blergzz' and 'Frames'.The former is the most tub-thumping and industrial tune of the EP with distorted garage vibes, an air of Blawan, and a raw pulsating bassline, which has already proved itself a veritable destroyer given its limited airings in public thus far. 'Frames' has the influence of Lukas' healthy fascination of German techno written all over it. Reminding you that you're still all there, the friendly 4/4 kick grounds you in actuality, whilst the analogue monster synth, which rears its head throughout (much like to Caribou's anthem 'Ye Ye') makes you pleased to find you're not quite in reality either. Ultra-limited pressing of 200 copies only on coloured vinyl.

Following Cubera's 2011 debut with the Imperial EP, Kyle Geiger embraces a new era for 2012 with the Mimetic Desire EP--further establishing his fresh and uncompromising approach to techno, with his blend of traditional low-end strength and thoughtful melodies.
The feature cut, "Mimetic Desire," uniquely intertwines thick, defined bass with Geiger's signature percussion, and most notably, a searing hook that will easily find its place in the rising, peak-time mindset of a twisted dancefloor--while simultaneously providing just enough delicacy to successfully march through the early sunrise hours..

Supported by Steve Lawler, Kolombo, AKA AKA, Hanne & Lore amongst others comes the third Powder & Louder vinyl release directly from Berlin. The Chosen Two Remixed Vol.1 features four massive remixes of established The Chosen Two tunes: Ryan Dupree from Stil Vor Talent mixed up "Dampfwalzer" and made a groovy tech house tune out of it. Ardalan (Dirtybird/Gruuv/USA) who was responsible for the infamous Mr.Spock bootleg together with Justin Martin, delivers a more deep and bass driven version of "Alte Frische". The Chosen Two's rolling "Neue Mattheit" was revamped to a funky stepper by Frogs In Socks (Southern Fried/Erase/UK), who describe their music themselves as frogstep ! And now finally on vinyl, the huge Sascha Braemer remix of the Chosen's classic "The Concert" from autumn 2010. Timeless and still very fat !
