Hugo Barritt was a promoter at London's infamous 'Egg' venue, during which time he focused his attention on Robert Owen's residency at the club. A friendship was struck up and when Hugo finally decided to leave to concentrate on production he could think of no-one better to provide the vocal's to 'You Are' than the most recognisable voice in dance music, Mr Owens himself. Befitting such a wonderful coupling, Efdemin heard the track and agreed immediately to provide the remix, and a splendidly slick ride it is too, taking the merest hints of Roberts vocal whilst injecting a melodic feel for a blissed out ride through the early hours. Contrast that with high octane thrill's of murmur regular Tom Demac's remix - dispensing with the subtleties of the original in favour of a power house ride of beats and bass, warping Robert's vocal into something altogether sleazier.

Osman Strauss Split EP presents two great deep-house tunes by Rahmi Cihan & Dj Credes! "Abgebrecht" on the info-side by turkish-rooted guy Rahmi Cihan is an outstanding shaker with a quote of german litterateur Berthold Brecht flowed by Rahmi himself. "Honz" on the logo-side by Dj Credes combines interplanetary groove, with a soulful speech of a beautiful jazz-queen, which create a deepkickin southflavoured late-nite hymn. Rahmi Cihan is busy in producing and playin music since over a decade now. Being beatsport member since day one his contribution to this split EP is the well compromised result of long-year experienced flow including dark-dub vocals, major chords and echoing bells. "Abgebrecht" for real can be described as Rami's personnel signature tag of authentic dancemusic. Dj Credes was discovered by bespmusic in
2010 and now it's time to pop his cherry with "Honz". The house-addicted vinyl lover delivers a dark scattered bassline, funky claps and a resonant burning synth line. Piano licks, vocal snippets and an acid line driven peak time speech issue proper instructions to the crowd.

4 tracks of deep soulful house/techno.. more excellence, slightly harder/more jacking than previous outings but still covers a broad remit of house/techno over 4 tracks.Darling Farah returns with his second EP of 2011. Entitled 'Division', the Detroit-born producer offers four tracks that journey further into deep house, techno and machine-soul. The EP grabs you from the offset, while dream-like qualities wash over the listener they contrast perfectly with an offbeat, energetic 4/4 backbone. Division will undoubtedly solidify the hype around it's precociously talented 19 year old producer and add more critical acclaim to that already received from his previous releases, 'Berline' and 'EXXY'.
