Steve Lawler's VIVa Music sees Francisco Allendes & Aldo Cadiz turn in three tracks of innovative, forward thinking percussive house.

From the full-vocal topped grooves of 'Esa Nena Quiere' to the impeccably layered 'Goodbye Black Yaris' via the skittering funk of 'Oiga Leon', the 'Esa Nena EP' is characterised by a playful, intricate and dynamic use of percussion that is seen in so many standout tracks from VIVa Music.

The Spanish duo also have forthcoming material for Cadenza, Desolat and Rekids.

PART 2 OF THE UNIVERSAL EP WITH A KING UNIQUE REMIX

After almost 4 years of exclusive releases on Richie Hawtin's revered Minus, Fabrizio Maurizi a.k.a. Roger is back on his Memento Records, the underground Italian label he started with long time friend and musical soul mate Idriss D. His new Ep 'The Secret Garden' shows a further departure from the early minimal-techno infused tracks he became widely known for: an original approach to structure and composition and a research for alternative sounds make these three recordings shine with fresh light and energy. Title track 'The Secret Garden' comes up with a funky-inspired groovy bass line, along with bouncy vocal snippets, catchy snare rolls and mesmerizing synth stabs. 'Magic Mirror' deep acquatic pads and percussive rhythm are perfectly designed for the dreaming dancefloor crowds, with doubled-up voice samples in the break giving a dizzying effect, while 'Back Door' reminds of Fabrizio's more upbeat and punchy vibes, with time-stretched choruses and high-pitched percussions peaking after a crescendo of delays and reverbs. A distinctive piece of work that shows a peculiar drive to always look forward from the Bologna based producer, who once more proves to be one of Italy electronic scene's most extraordinary talents

Ginel met Adrian in 2006 and 4 years later they have started a collaboration and so was born the new project Phrasis Veteris. They find inspiration in everything around them like nature, human behavior or in genres like house, minimal, breakbeat or jazz, even in classical music

UK PRODUCER CHRIS COLBURN HAS FOUND FRESH INSPIRATION FROM A REVIVED AND MAXIMISED TECHNO SCENE AND IS SET TO MAKE A RETURN VIA THIS 2 TRACK EP FOR ALAN FITZPATRICK'S 8 SIDED DICE IMPRINT.

PROPER DETROIT BIZNESS FROM QUANTEC

After over 15 years mastering his art of production, Daniel Steinberg steps out of the shadows to unveil his debut artist album 'Shut Up' on Front Room, a scathing, yet very eloquent, message to the all too often meaningless noise and communication of the digital age, the uninspired, the shallow and the generic.

Mobilee is back-or perhaps we should say back to Back to Back-with the second installment of its compilation and DJ-mix series. Back to Back Vol. 2 is a two-pronged probe at the heart of the mobilee aesthetic: CD1 is an unmixed disc of essential selections from the label, all appearing for the first time on CD, while CD2 takes the listener on a DJ's guided tour of the catalogue in its living, breathing, electrifying flux. If you still think of mobilee as simply a minimal label, then CD1 should change your mind

Dreamy floaty melodic techno on this MOS release. With a heavy remix from Morphosis. Very nice!
Label boss Aroy Dee signs for his already 8th release on his own MOS Recordings label. The track 'Beauty' reminds his label's first release, a basic dreamy melodic house track. On the b-side we find man of the moment Rabih Baeani aka Morphosis dropping a heavy remix. Hot on the heels of his praised 'What Have We Learned'-album takes his dark dusty 'Cabinet'-remix all things in perspective.

Freud had ever seen twenty-first-century neuroscientists actually scanning and mapping the brain and its neural circuitry, he'd have shouted "Eureka!" for he would have seen the amygdala, an almond-shaped cluster in the brain where emotions are generated and stored. "When aroused, the amygdala floods the entire body with neurochemical signals that leave behind a vivid and indelible trace of fear, anger, grief, happiness, surprise, or shame." - Daniel Goleman Emotional Intelligence.

The eraly years of a decade are good times for exploration, just like in 1993 when we (Alex & Sasa) first started working together. We rented a huge loft space on Ave B & 2nd St. in the East Village in Manhattan. The winter was tough, we had 16 snow storms and due to a landlord who hated everybody, we had our heating turned off except for a few hours in the morning, sometimes not even that... The only way to stay warm was to wear hats, gloves and scarves the whole winter... But that was fine because nightlife was a lot of fun. There was a good club/party every night. Right below where we lived was one of the best after hour clubs called "Save The Robots". But one of my favourite parties was "Sugar Babes" which was at the CBGB's gallery space right next door to CBGB's, every Monday night. The DJ used to sample parts of the records he was mixing and then just play the loop of the sample and alongside was a drummer playing to it. It was really inspiring.

Already their debut maxi 'Soopertrack' on Border Community from 2006, which can still be found in many DJ cases, but also the 'Titelheld EP' (2006) and the album 'Schöne Neue Extrawelt' from the year 2008, which belong to the best-selling releases on Cocoon recordings, have also ultimately rocketed the two Hamburg residents Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe - famous for their excessive live performances - to the Mount Olympus of the most style-forming Techno protagonists within the last ten years.

The Cryovac Recordings label is kept alive by the efforts of a.garcia. The name is taken from a dirty and cranky device used to seal shrink wrap around records. In this way, Cryovac works to preserve the time and space around its' artists identities.

You might know Hatti Vatti from an outstanding piece of music 'Different Music' written for Mindset back in 2009. A soulful Dubstep, Techno fusion that many will remember in the years to come as a great record. Now Polish born Hatti Vatti gives us a sneak peak on his debut recording for On The Edge, expected release April 2011. Another Dubstep, Techno fusion featuring vocals from Echo Ranks. Then, as if the original wasn't enough to wet your ear drums, the legend that is Andy Stott is on remix duties! He hasn't gone as industrial as some of his previous productions you might have heard, but still seriously Dub Techno and I for one have been playing the remix to death. All together a great (no pun intended) package!
