Techno Vinyl New Releases - News

The tenth release of the Nottingham based, vinyl only Leftback calls upon the talent of the two label co-founders delivering four intimate and personal works culminating in a lucid, yet non-linear and highly evocative record.

Dudley Strangeways opening track 'Hallam' showcases acute sounds full of colour which introduce themselves along it's steady tempo. Once leaving these territories, Strangeways makes his way to a more nocturnal perspective with 'What's Wrong', shaped with metallic unceasing tones filled with dense, repetitive beats that replicate the sounds of machines, gears and obsessive patterns.

McLardy's tracks begin with the intricate rhythmic patterns of 'Uno' (one, the unity, the absolute), a mosaic that originates from a web of synth basslines alternating between simpler designs and complex inputs from beginning to end. Accessible without being conventional, this work reflects the Nottingham artist ability to slowly build up a sequence of convoluted trajectories.

'Prana' awakens a different world of perceptions and can be seen as a stand-alone work juxtaposed with the rest of the EP, the track develops across a calmer, slower bassline in stark comparison to the tempo of the other three tracks on the release. McLardy creates a dialogue between the incorporeal painting in the background and the fragmented, broken and divided beats that push the listener across the length of the track.

We are very happy to bring this amazing release that includes four top quality pieces from some super talented artists. On the A side for the first track we have Sander Ellerman's work and it presents a perfect combination of rhythmic grooves that are beautifully combined with the ambience elements, which takes you into a fantastic underground and trippy vibe. The second track from this side is from the talented Romanian artist Dubphone, who smartly managed to create subtle track with and exquisite club sound that haves strength, great arrangements and a true hypnotic vibe too. The B side is composed by another two tracks. The first one is from Herck, who worked perfectly in a great articulation of different synth elements, over an underlying layer of percussive sounds that constantly brings up the mood, reminding us of a great sunrise like moment, but never leaving the expected craziness behind. The second track from this side is from no one else than Xandru and he created a mind-blowing cut that takes you deep down and up with ease in what promises to be a truly exciting melodic and sonic delight as only him can perform.

The second of our two part 12" sampler taken from our Leftback Vol.1 mix CD featuring four previously unreleased tracks is now available in unmixed format on vinyl. The four tracks were previously featured exclusively as part of Leftback Vol.1 with this second edition including new music from OCH, Ittetsu, Kashawar & Matthew Burton.

We all live in a world where we have instant access to the worlds most talented DJ's now. But every decade or so you hear someone, and you know there is something else, something very special going on. I feel Marino is that someone' - Keith Reilly

High praise indeed from the owner of Fabric London and a bold statement for Spanish DJ/Producer Marino Canal to live to up to. The sound engineering graduate's impressive wax spinning skills had been witnessed at the 2013 Ibiza Music Summit and it wasn't long before the White Island resident was tearing up the cavernous London basement with a set brimming with his own productions.

Organic textures, hypnotism and melancholy feature heavily in Marino's sound and are once again evident in the Percolate EP. As its name suggests, the title track bubbles with dancefloor tension whilst its tight groove never quite reaches boiling point. Can't Feel, on the flip, is more of the same. Deep, atmospheric and understated, a perfect example of Marino's blossom talent.

'Sláinte' is the third vinyl release for German based label Samani. This EP's artists hail from all corners of Europe, bringing together an eclectic taste of deep minimal vibes.

The opening track entitled 'Cosmic Soul' offers a mixture of glitchy stabs, soft atmospheres and groove. The composer Alessio Viggiano has been putting in the work recently, and this demonstrates his effort perfectly.

'Sláinte', put together by Laughing Man and label owner F.eht follows, which is a definite leg shaker on the dance floor. Funk, skippy percussion, and a vocal sample from a very special lady.

On to the B side, which starts off with a strong track from Eye Deep Leez main man - Viktor Udvari. His sound have turned many heads lately, and this one is no different. His trademark sound flows perfectly with the EP - orchestrating dreamy synths with tight percussion and a lovely bassline.

Dimitri Monev rounds of the release with 'Surge'. This brings a slightly moodier vibe to the release, and shows what this artist is capable of in the studio. Keep your ears out for this one on the dance floor later on in the night...

Since 2008, Dirty Culture and the team at TheSounds have dedicated themselves to carving an intelligent niche within deep house and techno. After the succes of Kirik's latest EP, now it's the time for some amazing talents, Oshana and Topper & The Clover, both artists have been included on Raresh's Fabric 78 mix. Simple ingredients, expertly blended, can produce devastating results. The tracks achieve something very different, and show the subtle touch that makes minimal so good. A vinyl only for the heads.

Marieu is the otaku member of The Analogue Cops and Restoration records
"The Drum Island" E.P., his debut E.P. on Memento is an compelling mix
of three dancefloor-rollers.

In full compliance with his trademark style, characteristic of the
releases on his own label Enlightened Wax and on Hypercolour, Marieu
artfully blends militaristic rhytms and heavy basslines with
delightful funk and sideral atmospheres.

Norse Projekt returns with it's 5th release courtesy of Pascal Benjamin who delivers 2 original tracks heavily based around his unique sound, Raster has been remixed by Einzig who delivers his Romanian feel to the groove. Support from Raha & Rhadoo.

Half Baked resident Greg Brockmann teams up with good friend Odd Soul under the moniker OddMann to present their first release on Half Baked Records. Bringing three tracks of dark, driving but groovy minimal techno, the boys are bringing a new flavour to the Half Baked label. These two have really been working hard in the studio and that is evident across the release as they provide something for those dimly lit dancefloors with big sound. This is some serious heads-down trippy music to lose yourself within!

Oliver Huntemann always delivers - especially on his own Senso imprint. After two decades at the forefront of the European scene, to see his name on a record guarantees deeply accomplished techno - direct yet sophisticated, brutal yet refined, physical yet cerebral. After a string of impressive digital releases, the four tunes collected here more than merit an appearance on vinyl. 'Pech' is a masterclass in the selection and combination of tone and texture. Elements unfold and flower organically - including a sustained and deliciously pitch-bent bass tone - as the tune reaches its climax of dancing synths. 'Schwefel' takes a voyage into more eerie territory, full of echo and distant music-box pings that are finally subsumed by gritty synth repetitions. The airy feel of 'Schwarzlicht' with its simple kick-less beat and textured woodblocks gives way to an imposing, thorax-rattling low end. Precision-engineered for a massive system, the pitch-bent bass twists like a contortionist, while piercing stabs pulse and ping. Last up, the slamming kick and buzzing repetitions of 'Filmriss' create a dark, edgy vibe. A pitched-up pulse - as if a string is being slowly tightened to breaking point - makes way for a truly monstrous and memorable sub bass.

"Life Is The Art Of Drawing Without An Eraser" Handcrafted Label Vinyl is back with it's fourth release by Rick Maia & Cesare vs Disorder. With two very special Remixes from Priku and Melodie. In loving memory of Steven Marney.

After the great welcome of the first three releases supported among others by Raresh, Peter Inspirescu, Ricardo Villalobos. The enigmatic ViceVersa is back with the fourth chapter of this adventure full of mystery and fascination.

UMAGA Recordings debut comes in a form of a hypnotic EP that resonates far into the realm of contemporary intimYstic dance-floor music. The A side titled Unglorious (2010 Original Mix)' demonstrates what unconventional slow dark techno is all about. With its narcotic cross-rhythms, emerged into clicks & cuts microtonal philosophy, Antiego sets up a mighty pace for almost 14 minute long beat crusher. The B sider is a remix by the fresh talented face on the techno scene ,Shady P, a young, stellar DJ and producer that already managed to get himself a slice of the international acclaim. Cut out as multilayered mélange of soundscape, experimental electronics, dub techno and plain-bursting, raw frequencies, it pins UMAGA Recordings straight on the map of any club music connoisseur.

Supports : Vid, Oshana, Ada Kaleh, Re-up, Zendid

The Adventure continues for Plaisir Records with his 2nd Release made by Ali Moghrani with a remix from Faster!

Here, you're going to get into a twisted club atmosphere where basslines will catch you forever. Vertige' will raise your feelings and make you go between melancholia and full energy at the same time, with the coexistence of violins, round bass and disconstructed voice. Inconnue' will bring sun into your mind and your smile will instinctively appear, synth is growing slowly between the beats to get as high as possible.

Vertige Faster remix' makes you enter directly in its sweaty mental mood from beginning to end with its voices manipulation and its acid component that makes your mind disconnect from reality.

Following Markus Suckut debut on the label, it's now the first time on Be As One for Eduardo de la Calle, one of the most interesting and passionate producer we've had the pleasure to work with, a master in its own craft: deep, melodic and thoughtful Techno. For this release we've picked up two very special cuts from Eduardo, pushing Eduardo's limits to the next level.

Following the release of Alvin Aronson's 'City' EP on White Material earlier this month, the New York based producer has shared clips of his 'High Rise' EP scheduled for release mid-December 2015 on NORD Records.

The 4-track vinyl release features sessions with Morgan Louis and Galcher Lustwerk of White Material as well as a couple of solo tracks.

The project Get in touch' is based in Mainz and Berlin, and was founded by the guys behind Orbit III. Their passion is to create a blend of trippy minimalistic sounds with classic house and techno elements and to get in touch with the music.
For their first release they are proud to present a primetime killer remix from Nicola Kazimir contrasting the rather smooth original by Willberg on side A. Klaser&Karrenberg, the highly recommended newcomers from Mainz, showcase a dry acid interpretation of the playful floating Orbit III track on side B.

A newborn imprint with an obscure name makes the perfect home for Kozo to showcase some of his studio work under the ooodjkoz alter ego.
Uncle Tom's Tune needs all its 13 minutes to develop, with the melodic pattern fading in and out the wobbly baseline, like hiding from the sci fi sounds scattered throughout the track. Crafted to please crowds that enjoy to be cooked slowly, Milly Van Illy takes it to a more dynamic pace, stiching the groove beneath the percussions and storing all the energy into the hi hats. As for Lady Gargara, we're gratified with a twisted cocktail of chopped voices stuttering on broken drum loops. Uncommon as it may sound, Drag And Drob EP is here to add some spice to your record collection.

Unusually for a record (for me, at least), 'Constants' collects tracks written in four very different moments in time: some are recent - so recent I've only had the opportunity to play them out just a handful of times - while others are over one year old. I really wish the story behind this EP would be a bit more interesting so this text could completely blow your mind but I'm afraid there were no dragons, no sex, no drugs and definitely no rock'n'roll involved. All four were mostly produced by me while sipping coffee and wearing boxer shorts in front of a computer. I could somehow try to describe the music on here but it would probably take less for you to give it a listen. However, if you happen to be one of the humans that prefer reading about music, you might want to wait a little bit longer: hopefully some smart blogger will skip through the SoundCloud previews for you and describe them in detail using words he learned a few minutes prior to posting it on the internet. Anyway, I'm really happy to see these finally out, especially on a label I have always looked up to like Vakant. I really used to think Smoke, Kaden and Ozer were aliens at some point. Hopefully you will enjoy this music as much as I loved writing and playing it out. T PS: I was kidding about the blogger thing. Bloggers, I love you.

The compilation will also come with an exclusive mix from Mark Fanciulli, serving up a label perspective from right within the eye of the Saved nucleus.

The Saved 100 tour began at Output in New York on January 3rd before heading off to Mexico for a stellar Saved showcase at this year's BPM festival. Laura Jones unveiled her new label Sensoramic in May with SAM and Karousel cutting the opening tape in appropriate style. For the second release Laura delivers her first EP since 2014. After taking time out to experiment in the studio and refine her style, The Why Question marks an evolution in the UK producer's output delivering two incendiary underground club cuts ably remixed by Trevino and U-More. Two veterans working under aliases, Trevino is of course better known as legendary drum 'n' bass producer Marcus Intalex who has more recently found a home for his 4/4 output on Klockworks, The Nothing Special and his own label, Birdie. U-More is Italian veteran and Berliner, Ivan Iacobucci, fresh from releasing on Apollonia and a slew of underground minimalist labels who delivers a late night acid laden afterhours workout to compliment Trevino's big room counterpart.

A return to the source: 'Ribcage' is where it all began for the Dubfire project. After years of exploring, subverting and setting brave new benchmarks in the house world, this marked the start of Ali Shirazinia setting out to set the same creative benchmarks in techno. Restrained, drawn-out but beastly when it wanted to be, the original was a serious statement of intent. Even at the time you got a sense it was going to be a historic tune. Loco Dice especially felt that when he signed it to Desolat 10 years ago. To celebrate this time-flying milestone, Dubfire's recruited two of the most respected names possible for remix duties. First up, the unstoppable, unavoidable, unquenchable Dense & Pika who keep within the dramatic rising template but with a whole new set of instruments and textures... And a percussion palette that absolutely sizzles when the whole groove kicks in mid-way. Phenomenal. Hot on their heels comes a unique remix invitation to On-U legend and one of the UK's most decorated and treasured studio controllers Adrian Sherwood. Turning in a serious techno re-cut that pays tribute to every element and takes over 12 minutes to make sure they each shine amid the head-twisting pools of tripped-out decay, it's clear his time with Pinch has had a profound effect. Two incredibly well considered and detailed remixes that remind you what remixes should be... Brave new chapters of a story we all love being told. These will sound great when the 20th anniversary remixes are

Inter Gritty follows his debut album up with another EP, going down a slightly more abstract path here. Void offers plenty of depth with warm pads and subtle breaks, while Blurred edges takes your mind for a spin with its cycles of bleeps and ever changing bass line. On the B-side, Cure For Madness is a gradually unfolding, moody techno builder with crisp beats and lush drones.
