#N/A (literally, Nisennenmondai with Adrian Sherwood) is a new studio album which sees the cult Japanese trio filtering their epic motorik jams through the mixing desk of the legendary dub producer.
Nisennenmondai are three girls from Tokyo, Sayaka Himeno (drums), Yuri Zaikawa (bass) and Masako Takada (guitar), who have been playing instrumental music together since 1999. From their initial beginnings as a noisy no wave band openly referencing influences such as Sonic Youth, DNA and This Heat, they have since honed and streamlined their sound into a more minimalistic pulse with an emphasis on the hypnotic possibilities of repetition, creating a sound that can be likened to 'organic techno'.
Much beloved by other musicians including Battles, Prefuse 73 and Chris & Cosey (Throbbing Gristle), in recent years they have made more connections to dance culture, in particular with their 2015 collaboration live and on record with electronic producer Shackleton.
Recording their new album with Sherwood has resulted in them sounding bigger than ever before, with a greater emphasis on small rhythmic details and subtle dub touches, reminiscent in places of the classic Basic Channel sound.
This international edition of the album includes 2 bonus 'live dub mixes'. Whilst Adrian showed considerable restraint in his production job on the studio album, on a subsequent live date at Tokyo's Unit club he was recorded deploying a wild array of FX tricks, dropping in splashes of cavernous reverb and space echo delay to the performance of two pieces previous album N'.

The one year celebratory release of MOC sees label heads Andreas Pionty and fumée grise bringing forth a new concept that sheds light on the imprint's musical direction. The release consists of an attentive selection of four tracks out last year, that were given the remix treatment.

Gathaspar's celestial 'The Lover Of Ursa Major' is the first to get reworked. Andreas Pionty keeps the main focus on the vocals and adds extra bass and zippy synths, turning it into a high paced, relentless piece of techno goodness. The mysterious mood on the dubby 'Boyz Weekend' is turned down to a minimum, making headway for a more rapacious, dancefloor oriented take.

fumée grise brings back the eerie factor, starting with his 'Haunted Forest Remix' of one of MOC's first ever releases - Steven Cock's 'Fusion'. Stripped down of its more playful bell accents, the remix goes into a dark and deep territory, as the name suggests. Lastly, Gathaspar's sub-bassy 'Gathsoland' gets taken down a notch, downplaying the original kick but still centering around the addictive vocal sample.

A bit over a year after Lehult's inaugural relase, Eddie Ness's solo debut is - if not the ending of a full circle - a release with one foot firmly in the short history of our label and the other, already, two steps ahead in the future. Eddie's tracks were made a exactly a year after Follow Me To Flottbek Falls by Lucky Charmz, in exactly the same place, a small, red hut in the woods of Sweden - pictured on LHLT001. And so, these tracks exhale: warmth, contentment - yet are full of energy, pushing forward, much like it is Eddie's nature itself. This description is maybe best mirrored in Ombré", the A1, a track so cheerfully detached it seems at times like the thumping, powerful groove beneath is the only thing keeping the elements from unwinding into seperate, psychedelic directions. Afro' is it's direct counterpart - concentrated, moody, but still there is warmth here, coming from a place beyond the dancefloor. It's a warmup game changer, or maybe an afterhours hypnosis - that is up to you. Menjou' is another subtle force on this EP. A space excursion of swelling pads and massaging bass interplay, this one goes all the way on the dancefloor. Finally, we're happy to have our friend Borrowed Identity on the team with his remix for Ombre", which he effortlessly takes to the big room with wet, driving drums and merciless acid blips.

Delsin are proud to present, Sides of Space, a collection of classic, lost and forgotten tracks from atmospheric techno producer D5. The 12 track, triple vinyl affair will land in November in both regular and limited edition forms. D5 has released a number of fine EPs on Delsin that date back to the turn of the millennium, as well as a fine full length in 2002 entitled 'Alien Artform'. The tracks on this new compilation have been chosen from old CDRs by label boss Marsel and truly reflect the artist formerly known as Dimensions 5's fine tradition of relaxing chilled out, Detroit influenced techno. His most classic track, 'Floatation Tank' (which was a standout from the 2005 Panet Delsin compilation) as well as all cuts from the sought after Neutrino EP, are included here, and still sound as good now as they ever did. In all there are seven previously released tracks as well as five brand new, never before heard cuts, and they all make for absorbing listening both in the club, on headphones or from the sofa.

Efdemin is back on Dial Records with his third full-length album DECAY, following his self-titled debut in 2007 and CHICAGO, in 2010. Once again he offers a stunningly seductive stream of music written in his very own hand. After three years of extensive touring as a DJ, Phillip Sollmann took the chance to compose his third album under his Efdemin moniker while spending three months in an artist residency in Kyoto, Japan. Living next to the Kamo river, surrounded by temples, shrines and the ever-present blue mountains, he started working in the late summer, facing typhoons and intensive heat, and finished the album in the early mild days of winter. Thus mainly assembled in autumn, his favourite season of year, the ten tracks on "Decay" express the paradoxical relationship between beauty and decay. The production procedure was a dichotomous one. Recording was done in his recently finished new Berlin-Wedding studio, "The Meadow," mostly on analog equipment, while the final production took place in Japan. The result is an album of intriguing rigour and a certain beauty hidden within. It marks a big step towards the deeper side of techno and lets many of his early influences in 90s techno shine through (from early Cologne minimalism, M-plant and Axis to Terrence Dixon) as well as his love for drone music. Although at a first glance it might seem that this album is a somehow more distant and less melodic than the previous output, it provides the full unique range of Efdemin's vocabulary, which he is known and loved for. Decay sounds in certain parts like a of process of correction, revaluation and re-alignment, making room for new thing to come. There is beauty within decay.

Political post-punk trio This Heat dissolved at a turbulent time in the UK. Margaret The Iron Lady' Thatcher was in power, and her budget-cutting, ultra-conservative influence was felt strongly in-among many other places-the cultural melting pot of Brixton, South London, where This Heat had their origins. Dusting himself off after the collapse of the band in 1982, guitarist/vocalist Charles Bullen united with Julius Samuel to form Lifetones and embraced the sounds of the local West Indian community to fuse reggae flavor to the kind of propulsive, rhythmic, and experimental music made by This Heat.

Deceit, This Heat's 1981 album, had seen them work with David Cunningham, who had already helped mesh dub reggae with new wave pop on The Flying Lizards' 1979 single, Money (That's What I Want Want).' Even so, For A Reason was a great leap, one that created a strange, unsettling mood as Bullen's multi-tracked, chant-like vocals met dub beats and Krautrock-informed repetition. Where Deceit dealt with the nuclear threat, For A Reason was less reactionary, even quoting Bob Marley in its lyrics: you love the life you live, you live the life you love.'

Just six tracks and half an hour long, the album was recorded at Cold Storage studio and released on Bullen's own Tone Of Life Records. It has become a sought-after collector's item that changes hands for hundreds of dollars a time. As a solo artist, Bullen was not prolific-it was 15 years until, in 1998, he released Internal Clock under the name Circadian Rhythms-but like the rest of his band, he has enjoyed a long, enriching career in unending pursuit of new sounds.

Even though This Heat had no commercial success to follow up on, For A Reason was an album created with no intention of hitting the charts. Reissued on Light In The Attic, Lifetones' single album retains a timeless quality and perhaps-on tracks such as Good Side'-a futuristic sound that nobody else ever caught up to.

The melodic, dubbed out techno sounds are in its hayday in Japan, and Hypnotic Room is the embodiment of this trend, bringing you, once again, warm spacious sounds by some of Japan's most talented artists.

A1 track immediately feels like a warm bubble-bath, having all the right ingredients for those dubby moments; warm vibrant chord stabs, inventive pad-work, and spacy effects, making Tominori Hosoya's 'My Funny Daughters' a masterpiece.

This side closes off with Deep Inquisitive's track 'Shiki', and it doesn't get any more 'dub' than this. Close your eyes and you instantly feel like sipping wine in one of Ibiza's beachclubs. Pure quality dub techno !

The joy continues on side B, and Asian Psilocybe Foundation gears it up with 'Light Line', super dreamy, but still keeping the dance-vibe strongly in there.

Wrapping up this 12" is the usual suspect Takashi Watanabe, who's making a name for himself quickly in Japan. Fans won't be disappointed, because 'Club Harie' is truly one of his best works. The use of synth is brilliant, and makes it a very usable track for the clubs.

Neun Jahre gereift: Tadd Mullinix und Daniel Meteo grüßen vom Dub der guten Hoffnung.

Dieses Kollaborationsalbum von Tadd Mullinix (aka Dabrye) und Daniel Meteo (Meteosound, Bus) geht auf eine ausgedehnte Studio-Session zurück, die bereits 2007 in Berlin stattfand. Damals hatte Mullinix die Idee, gemeinsam mit einer Reihe von Rhythms zu arbeiten, die sich stilistisch an den frühen digitalen Sounds jamaikanischer Produzenten der beginnenden 1980er orientierten, beginnend mit Prince Jammys "Sleng Teng". Eine sehr arbeitsintensive Woche später hatten die beiden schon mehr als zwei Handvoll Titel zusammen, auf denen sie originale Dub-Beats mit selbst eingespielten Aufnahmen von Gitarren, Orgeln, Synthesizern und dergleichen kombinierten, durch die Echokammer jagten und mit einem finalen VintageCharakter schmückten. Mit Ausnahme von zwei Tracks, die auf Kompilationen befreundeter Labels (Monkeytown, Shitkatapult) erschienen, blieben die Ergebnisse der Öffentlichkeit bislang verborgen. Doch nun, nachdem die Aufnahmen neun Jahre im Giftschrank gepflegt reiften, haben Tadd und Daniel beschlossen, die Highlights des Ganzen als Album zu veröffentlichen. "Good Star Dubs" enthält damit sechs der ursprünglichen Aufnahmen sowie zwei alternative Mixe.

The Stealth triple vinyl series presents six tracks taken from Peter Van Hoesen's 'Stealth' mix compilation. The same philosophy is carried across: it marries Peter's music with the sounds he is influenced by. The result is a powerful selection of vibrant techno, with a warm, almost spiritual, feel to it. Both Donato Dozzy and Neel have appeared individually on Time to Express before, here they appear for the first time together as Voices From the Lake. The Italian duo offer more evidence of their distinctive brand of hypnotic techno with 'Zulu Vortex', a spiralling percussive workout. This is paired with a track from Wata Igarashi, a rising Japanese DJ and producer. 'Night' is a glowing, radiant piece of techno that has become a regular feature in Peter Van Hoesen's recent DJ sets.

As the world catches on to the music and live performances of Klartraum duo Nadja Lind & Helmut Ebritsch, the pair look to the release of their deep yet wonderfully eclectic second album 'Secret moon'...

Berlin based Nadja Lind & Helmut Ebritsch have been working together for over five years now, but it is in the last twelve months that the duo's Klartraum project has really come to prominence. Both Nadja & Helmut have a solid musical history recording for the likes of Darkroom Dubs, Soma & Morris Audio yet it is through their shared musical output that they have really captured the imagination, producing deep and moving electronic music that fuses elements of techno, house and electronica.

Out of the studio the duo have taken their sound on the road, performing as Klartraum live at London's Fabric, the infamous Ukrainian festival Kazantip and Goa's renowned Shanti club to rave reviews and rapturous response. In the coming months they will also be appearing at dates in Australia and across Europe.

'Secret Moon' is a rich and diverse collection of tracks that reflect Klartraum's journey since the release of their debut LP, 'Evolution' in 2011. From the opening atmospheric ambient recording of 'Berlin Intro' it's clear that this is not to be a straight-laced 'club' album but rather a body of work that ebbs and flows through styles and sounds with little regard for genre. Downtempo cuts such as the breakbeat based 'Something Wrong' or the off kilter 'Universe' add a depth and variety to the mix yet Klartraum's production skill and musical sensibilities work to make the album work as a whole. There is a deep hypnotizing feel to this whole album, keeping you locked into the experience as the album progresses. Tracks such as the epic 'Secret Moon' and the sublime 'Sell Your Soul' have an almost cinematic feel to them; drawn out, spacious and mesmerizing. Klartraum's 2011 debut was a real achievement but 'Secret Moon' takes things to the next level with a strength and energy that is tempered with an audible maturity of production.

Nadja Lind & Helmut Ebritsch have their own way of creating music, making much of both their spiritual leanings and their hands of approach to 'jamming' out tracks live. Whatever it is that drives them it certainly works, for Klartraum are rapidly becoming an act that cannot ignored, making great music and taking it to the world via their passionate live performance. New Analog Response 12" vinyl output has been composed by the italian artist Hydergine, a young guy clearly inspired by Basic Channel / Maurizio dub techno sounds, and a wide range of influences in the house/techno/bass fields.
After practicing in music production for years, he first released a 12" on the german label Separate Skills which rapidly sold out, leaving a strong mark in the dub-tech scene.
Recently, the austrian label Phlox showed another fine Hydergine release on translucent blue 12" vinyl,matching the taste of big names like Francois Kevorkian, Laurent Garnier, Brendon Moeller, Kirk Degiorgio, Anton Zap, Terry Francis, Roman Fluegel, Ethyl, Slam, Franklin De Costa, John Osborn and more.

This release was born of a cross country trip with an 808 drum machine by Manchester and Sankey's Soap residents Jozef K and Winter Son as they join Perseus Traxx to hammer electricity out of machines With it's rimshots and claps and other transistor rhythms reverberating across vast distances of space, side A is stripped back and deep from the outset, pushing forward as scattered tones, arpeggiations and djointed voices leave their trails vanishing from perception. Side B tightens up from the previous reverbs and throws acid into the mix, as the two join Perseus Traxx and the sound becomes more raw and urgent as the three of them jam on their chosen machines.

Andy Stott’s classic bout of screwed, knackered House is a shapeshifting, hardy perennial whose crushing traction and atmospheric grip has only deepened in the decade (+1) since it was first issued, as part of a now notorious one-two in 2011 beside ‘Passed Me By’. Out of print for almost a decade, it’s now finally available again in a new edition that’s still sounding unlike pretty much anything else we’ve heard in the intervening years.

’We Stay Together’ was a proper watershed moment for Andy Stott in the nascent phase of an inspirational stylistic arc. While he’d spent the previous six years constructing everything from warehouse-shuddering deep house and dub techno to bare-boned dubstep, the arrival of a new decade paid witness to Stott turning inward, collapsing what he’d learnt from late night sessions with the Modern Love crew into a radical new sound that was arguably without precedent in its field.

The simple move of screwing the tempo to circa 100BPM would, in turn, open out his sound, prising room between the rhythms which he coloured with a palette of particularly bruised, processed outside-the-box textures gleaned from an array of guitar pedals and endlessly churned samples. There were, of course, parallels in DJ Screw’s codeine-infused treatments of classic rap and soul, and their influence on the contemporaneous “witch house” style, but few, if any, were doing it within a techno and club music context that hewed so close to the darker, gristlier underbelly and animus of Manchester’s warehouse heritage. This style of viscous, cranky chug proved fertile ground that would be explored in-depth over the next decade - you can hear traces of it on everything from Overmono’s sludge to Low’s acclaimed 'Double Negative’ - and trust when we say it’s the source of it all. But, still, nothing twats quite as smart or heavy as ‘We Stay Together’.

From an opening that uncannily echoes the rinsed-out empty warehouse scenes in the closing stages of ‘Fioriucci Made Me Hardcore’, the serotonin-depleted ’Submission’ triggers a side-chained momentum that helplessly drags users thru the gnarly mire of ‘Posers’ to the zombied lurch of ‘Bad Wires’ and its title tune’s ket-legged strut. He pushes the aesthetics to asphyxiating degrees on ‘Cherry Eye’, but not without a glimmer of hope in its underwater choral motifs that always buoys his best bits from utter doom, before ‘Cracked’ stresses the metallic tang of his textures with a bloodlust and vital, systolic throb whose effect has only been galvanised with age.

More killer previously unreleased Barry Brown from Channel 1, from early '80s sessions that at one point were slated to make up his aborted second LP for the label.

After 15 years of full time dedication to the deejing art, Kristina launches out herself with her own label Amsafe Records (12inch + digital).
The idea of The label was born at the beginning of Kristina's career as a mandatory necessity, and her vision to create her own productions.
Amsafe Records will launch, in a 6 month time frame, the 2 first eps. One of them, the 'TRAXX1' will be available to purchase in 30 days. Triple Vision Distribution (NL) will be charge in of its worldwide distribution.
'TRAXX1' will be composed of three cuts that taken as a whole is 12inch, solid and with retro reminiscences.
On the A face we will find 'Dark Sinhoutte'. It is a track materialized with a progressive and incessant acid sound, assemble in a 3X4 chachis that reminds those first Proper NYC discs productions launched by Steve Stoll in the 90'. On face B the cuts are introduced by themselves with some roots and influences of Dub.
On the A1, 'Absolute' keeps in itself such influence, more reinforced with delays and arrangements that sometimes, recalls to Retro-techno sounds to finally give way for an emotional and synthetic line that reveals Kristina's influences from Electro.

On the A2, 'Frictional x/mix version', it shows up as a more lineal track characterized by the subtlety of the changes and the dynamism that converges at the end as a track with minimalistic characteristics. Some Congas and Toms, embellishes this track A2, without hesitation, it is a very useful track designed for more versatile sessions.

Delsin present a new EP by B12 aka Steve Rutter entitled Orbiting Souls, a name which comes from the fact the veteran artist has recently spent contemplating the loss of a friend and believes we are surrounded by lost souls and spirits. This is B12's second EP this year following on from the Bokide 325 release on Soma Records and comes years after still acclaimed album like Electro-Soma and TimeTourist on Warp Records back in the 90s. Orbiting Souls is a somewhat complex journey, a representation of inner Bi Polar opposites; isolation; sadness, but also acknowledging the great and wonderful things around that swirl and support and energise us. Altren For SA017 Kangding Ray brings an EP defined by dexterity: Tempered Inmid. The discerning 'Dimien Andesso' is the Tempered's partner, shuffling with a considered high-end and off-kilter pads. Three in a row... Stephen Brown's up for his third Indigo release already. Already in the game for more than 20 years, he always achieves a particular and distinctive sense of grooviness, funk and soul in his music that nobody else ever can. The fact that a lot of DJs still play Stephen's tracks from 20 years ago underline how timeless his music is. Right here Brown delivers an EP that's variously fulsome and funky, skipping yet seriously weighty and tripped out and intergalactic, whilst the Antigone remix is full of nerve jangling texture and drum driven brut force.

Indigo æra presents the first solo release from Takasi Nakajima known from the duo Different World which he formed together with Claude Young.

Takasi Nakajima has been DJing and producing since 1994 and working as Different World since 2005. The duo was responsible for the track "Think Twice" a much talked about inclusion on Marcel Fengler's Berghain 05 Mix­CD. The track with it's unique classic Detroit feel, eventually got a full vinyl release on Indigo Aera. As live­ and DJ duo Different World, Takasi also released on Kirk Degiorgio's ART label in 2011, has remixed Octave One and has released remixes and originals on Kevin Saunderson's KMS Recordings. Now focussing on solo work after Different World have suspended activity, this new EP finds him in fine form.

'Basicmath One' is seven minutes of delicate ambient, suspending in mid air. 'Basicmath Two' is a deep and supple techno groove with starry night skies unfolding over tom­layered kicks and 'Basicmath Three' then gets more propulsive with its soul infused synths, straight hi­hats and classic Detroit vibes. A remix of it from Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff layers in a much heavier and more physical kick drum then 'Basicmath Four' drops into a more house leaning groove, but one that is riddled with lush pads, rainy melodies and futuristic atmospheres. Lastly, 'Solar System' is a perfectly spaced out sound world of intergalactic pads and scurrying melodies that is full of alien life but very human emotions. Blissful stuff from start to finish, it proves Takasi Nakajima is as fascinating when solo as he ever is.

Parisian artist Nautil is a music student specialising in acoustics, signal processing, and informatics. His debut single, Canopée, utilises analog synths, sampling and personal recordings to emphasize the geometrics of nature and music.

On the A-side the lead track, Canopée, is a cavernous, pulsing, low-frequency techno colossus destined to hypnotise dark warehouse spaces. On the reverse Galdae is a propulsive tecnoid tweaker while Mue is designed for head rolling after hours with mesmeric synth drones suspended over a brain melting sub-bass pulse.

The anticipated second release from Los Angeles/Seattle imprint Slumdiscs comes in the form of a 12" from two artists who have each had a prolific year, refining their respective takes on dark electronics. Side A features three tracks from Italian producer Morkebla (Where To Now/Reckno). He utilizes ethereal synths to create vast, mind expanding soundscapes just as suited for club use as they are for deep meditation. Side B is provided by Portland artist Best Available Technology (Astro:Dynamics/Working Nights). Contained within is an experiment in variations and reductions that rewards close listeners with a glimpse into the slow decay of self-contained sonic ecosystems. ''Go Slumming'' marks the first full length collaboration between the two artists and showcases the best of their respective styles.

- Mastered and cut by Matt Colton at Alchemy 'Faith In Strangers' was written and produced between January 2013 and June 2014, and was edited and sequenced in late July this year. Making use of on an array of instruments, field recordings, found sounds and vocal treatments, it's a largely analogue variant of hi-tech production styles arcing from the dissonant to the sublime. The first two tracks recorded during these early sessions bookend the release, the opener 'Time Away' featuring Euphonium played by Kim Holly Thorpe and last track 'Missing' a contribution by Stott's occasional vocal collaborator Alison Skidmore who also appeared on 2012's 'Luxury Problems'.. Between these two points 'Faith In Strangers' heads off from the sparse and infected 'Violence' to the broken, downcast pop of 'On Oath' and the motorik, driving melancholy of 'Science & Industry' - three vocal tracks built around that angular production style that imbues proceedings with both a pioneering spirit and a resonating sense of familiarity. Things take a sharp turn with 'No Surrender'- a sparkling analogue jam making way for a tough, smudged rhythmic assault, while 'How It Was' refracts sweaty Warehouse signatures and 'Damage' finds the sweet spot between RZA's classic 'Ghost Dog' and Terror Danjah at his most brutal. 'Faith in Strangers' is next and offers perhaps the most beautiful and open track here, its vocal hook and chiming melody bound to the rest of the album via the almost inaudible hum of Stott's mixing desk. It provides a haze of warmth and nostalgia that ties the nine loose joints that make up the LP into the most memorable and oddly cohesive of Stott's career to date, built and rendered in the spirit of those rare albums that straddle innovation and tradition through darkness and light.

The third release on Tel Aviv duo Deep'a & Biri's Black Crow label comes from Israeli talent Hakimonu. Having first emerged in 2007, Hakimonu has since initiated his own self-titled imprint, with over twenty releases from him and his close circle of like-minded friends since 2010. With a stated intention to 'explore the experience of infinity through sound & music", Hakimonu's debut Black Crow release should bring his intelligent fusion of techno, ambient, dub, jazz and acid to wider attention. Far more than a pair of dub techno excursions, the EP's original tracks Insular Realms and Jiriki retain a tougher, more experimental edge while encouraging listeners to explore the minute details in the spaces between the more prevalent elements of the tracks. The EP enlists Ed Davenport (under his Inland guise) and Black Crow bosses Deep'a & Biri for remix duties, with Davenport's dancefloor-rework of Insular Realms continuing his impressive run of form which has included hugely accomplished releases for Mosaic, his own Counterchange label and, as Inland, his collaboration with Function on their co-run Infrastructure New York. Deep'a & Biri meanwhile maintain their own high standards with their propulsive remix of Insular Realms, offering a less rough-hewn yet no less effective club-ready version.

After several years of dropping 12 inches on Ann Aimee, and the well received album 'Traces' on Delsin, he felt it was the right time to launch his own imprint: Radio Matrix.

What is it about
Radio Matrix will represent the sound of Friesland and the city of Leeuwarden.
The core of the label will be based around producers from the city of Leeuwarden (The Netherlands). So far, releases have been scheduled from VC-118A, Area Forty One and of course the man himself. Next to that, EP's are lined up from guys who haven't had a release yet, but who are fuelling the local scene of Friesland for more than a decade now. But as Radio Matrix is not strictly limited to the borders of Friesland, befriended and like-minded producers will contribute as well.
As dedicated record junkies, everything will of course be pressed on vinyl. However, digital files will be made available as well, so you don't need to visit dodgy torrent sites.

How does that sound like
Drumcomputers and synthesizers. Somewhere on the borders of (classic) techno, house and electro, without sounding too retro.

Giorgio Gigli achieves his debut album after a personal path grown with his work on Zooloft Records. In the same way his dj sets reflect the spirit of that evolution. He explores sophisticated ambient layers as much as obsessive and hypnotic techno landscapes. The Right Place Where Not To Be' is the title of this first full-length sonic movie', a work emerging from the depth of his soul that filters, in a proper way, every musical input he developed over the years. A scenario where human and animal life-form perished and only plants and minerals survived. Giorgio performs that concept writing an ultra-detailed soundtrack, using rich textures that hide secret acoustics, nhanced by alienating atmosphere that captivate the listener. The album is focused on obsessive rhythmics cut on low frequency, a persistent motion, a stable tremor, world exclaiming its life-forms in so far as details the missing ones. Sky is darkened by dub clouds and stratified sonics that electrify space around. Blooming sensations that cover a wide spectrum, alternating feverish tension to lights of trust. Confines are dejected, techno meets ambient, throwing up an amniotic fluid which is immersed our unconscious. A sonic bubble from a faraway era, a timeless atmosphere that describes a vision that seems to answer to most important question: why Giorgio brilliantly manages the hard task of creating an album that describes in a cinematic manner a surreal concept with no loss of tension. LP is enhanced by a stylish Triple Gatefold with evocative artwork that expresses Giorgio's thoughts. A sequence of mountains dominated by clouds of a clear sky, depths of flowers, the tinged memory of a wonderful past. Photography by Marcello and Alessandro Gianvenuti was created with B/N poses from an old Hasselblad, somewhere in the Dolomites, and enhanced by watercolour-painted textures at a later stage. Whole graphical project is curated by Studio Lord Z.

Dutch producer Mohlao is next up on Shipwreck offshoot Deep Sound Channel with a four track EP that showcases his specialist dub techno style. It follows on from top releases by Albert Van Abbe and Mike Parker, and means the label starts 2015 in style. Before now the Dutchman has released on labels like Meanwhile and Other Heights, as well as working as VC-118A on Lunar Disko Records and Tabernacle. This four track EP kicks off with 'Cladistic Mutation', a sparse underwater soundtrack with only the gentlest suggestion of rhythm, lots of reverb and tiny little details that float by like micro-bacterial debris. 'M2' is a more beat driven dub track but is still way below the surface: the kicks are smooth and hunched over, the chords are smeared out in all directions and the atmosphere is lo-fi and grainy. On the flip, 'Grain' gets even more energetic, with firm techno kick drums setting a stern tempo as all sorts of aqueous details and spacious effects pepper the groove. There's a heavenly nature to the pads and an industrial texture to the percussion that makes this a cerebral but physical affair from start to finish. Lastly, 'Neurowaves' closes things down in blissfully dubbed out and horizontal fashion, with large sweeping pads, tweaked filters and evocative little details all placing you firmly under water. Just like the label name suggests, this is seriously deep, comforting and escapist music for the heads.

When you listen to this EP you cannot keep yourself stable. Your heart pulsates like a bat out of the hell, your blood boils for the rhythm, your soul lingers on one side to the other of the room where your body tries to check the discharge of adrenaline as it emerges.
It reminds me of a film or a video set in the years 90' where a human being, without the effect of drugs, succeeded in penetrating the depths of their own intimacy.
This EP, constructed of 3 tracks, is the antidote to the pain of the day. It's the apotheosis of the night time, it's for the people that don't ask anything else other than to live a true trip riding the boundaries of their own conscience.

Fifth single from the duo Altarboy. Side A: 'The marathon thing' is slow and esoteric track with a long break in which the roman producers rise and fall of bpm. Through dense layers of noise, brittle beats, found sounds and a general haze, Francis Harris returns to his own Scissor and Thread imprint, with the aid of frequent collaborator, and longtime friend, guitarist Gabe Hedrick, under the guise Aris Kindt. Following Harris' 2014 sophomore solo album, Minutes of Sleep,' (named Electronic Album of the Year by Mojo Magazine,) the duo's quintessential album debut, Floods,' takes as its focus, the late author W.G. Sebald's profound interpretation of Rembrandt's 1632 master work, The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp. Floods' is a sonic journey into the heart of the body, a bold rejuvenation of Adriaan Adriaanszoon (Aris Kindt), once a mere cadaver on a cold metal slab, now a living breathing human at the heart of a creative shift in vantage point from object to active subject. Much in the same way Rembrandt intended with the painting itself, Floods' attempts to subvert the listeners memory of a moment. Written within a span of over a year using an 808, a modular eurorack and two guitars, Floods' was mixed at Keyclub Recording Company in late August with Engineer Bill Skibbe. The album charts new territory for both Harris and Hedrick, melding a long history with electronic music and youthful love for indie noise, weaving in and out of near silence and sheering walls of sound with a gentle and constant heartbeat at its core. The dream-like murk of album opener Now Grey' sets the tone with thick pads, distant, ghostly guitar work and fragmented drums. On the title track, dubby chords set the tone, as subdued toms amble forward, with a crackling of fire nearby, as a dense sounds echo and swirl around into a climactic frenzy. Blue Sky Shoes' hypnotizes with its submerged strings and subaquatic patterning, as synths rain down like streaks breaking the surface.

Oolong atmosphere and pirate broadcast vibes collide on what Juno Plus calls "a strange borderland between ambient dub listening and functional rhythmic content." 200 copies.

The second WRLTD vinyl is from the collaboration between Wunderblock and Michael Chernev a.k.a Arcuation. The EP starts with the amazing remix from Darren Roberts a.k.a. Deepbass. It presents his unique dark hypnotic sound combined with the effective driven techno groove. Samuele Costa a.k.a. Scam. delivers the second remix, which is also dark and atmospheric with some propulsive jacking dubbed out drums. On the B-side, there are 2 remixes from Wunderblock: Mikroplexmix, with its mesmerising swirling atmosphere and punching rhythm, and more relaxing, deep and spaced-out remix with co-production of Vladimir Kochenov a.k.a. Acrob, also the member of Wunderblock crew.

Michal Wolski returns to Blank Slate to deliver another EP. Blank Slate 011 is a continuation of Wolski's signature dubby minimalist strain of techno. The Warsaw veteran's ability to summon
thick hypnotic ambience makes his compositions instantly recognizable. Wolski's patience and subtlety summons a nuanced version of power. The EP begins with Midnight Train, which was released originally on cassette on Wolski's own
label Minicromusic. An airy mystique evolves into a melodic bliss, garnished with ride cymbals that seem to rain down from the sky. Magnitude is a return to Woslki's proclivity for the psychodramatic. Broken percussion lays the foundation for a journey into the expansiveness of space. Sporadic harmonic jabs and eerie vapors bubble up from the earth itself. No Mind
summons the power and density of an engine. Built on a foundation of chugging percussion, it commands a mirage of mechanical layers which ow in and out of focus. The EP closes with Eightfold Path; a hypnotic drum line propels the track through an atmosphere lush with the tension of pressurized air. Thunderous stabs roll in from afar until they're right overhead —
claps and groans provide only momentary relief from the storm.

New on the Delsin X-Series is My Home is Sonic, a standout techno, dub and minimal album originally released in 2001 by Icelandic producer Arnvidur Snorrason aka Exos on AE Recordings. Exos is the son of dub techno producer Octal and released three albums in his career, as well as a swathe of fine EPs on labels like Thule, Mosaic, Slow to Speak and has recently being picked up by Nina Kraviz. His ability to build great atmospheres and heady soundscapes was unrivalled, and though they bottle up influences, they are always fresh, wintry and compelling. Few have done minimal dub techno better before or since this masterpiece album, so it's right that 2015 sees it revisited by fans old and new alike.

The first vinyl release on Abandoned Audio, the new sub-label from 31337 Records, Ezekiel Honig's 'A Film of String & Wood' continues his form of refracted, geographically oriented, electroacoustics. Sitting in a background of field recordings and incidental real-world objects, textured piano and horns act as cement for chunky, yet subdued rhythms that fall over themselves and snap back into place. Warm, looming tonal progressions remain incredibly intimate and focused while retaining an expansiveness of space, a perfect metaphor for Honig's music on the whole - personal and specific while intersecting with something more universal.

Throughout its five tracks, 'A Film of String & Wood' stretches and pulls its melodies, weaving them through each blocky snare, each bassy kick drum phrase, with a heart and mind that hearkens to a different time, memory-tinged with a nostalgia for a moment that is yet to pass. Pressed on sturdy 180 gram vinyl and featuring artwork/design by Ezekiel Honig.

A mysterious artist on the hill for this release named Vasco serving us, on Roman label, an ep with deep and glacial techno sounds; the two original tracks take us to the universe of the artist, cold and dark.

On other side the first remix is produced by Agazzi and follow the musicline of the originals so pulling out a paranoid march, other remix on bside is made by Valent and it's a peaktime modern techno percussive device.

Obsession Recordings presents their second release - a killer split EP between Primitive World and Yør.

Primitive World's 'Purple Caps' opens proceedings - a PCP laced exercise in paranoia, a jerking filtered loop oscilates around a thumping kick and intermittent percussive bursts, while looming minor chords offer the only brief respite from the heavily swung and distorted bassline. 'Tides Of Lust'' 's protean techno ups the urgency with the phantom punch of its caustic toms, skittering percussion and low-res tones that ride the steady pulse of the 808 subs.

'Rites Of Passage Pts. 1& 2' see Yør delivering steady neo-equatorial rhythms - pt1. finds A constant throbbing bass and ritualistic percussion cut through w/ suggestive whispers and breaths that weave throughout as the track vibrates with intensity, capped off by a restrained acid line and rolling snares. Pt 2. rounds out the package with a cut both jacking and haunting in equal measure - just below the surface of the rolling 909 and post-detroit chords, are the rogue cry of the abstracted re rendered voices and whistling that swim through its duration.
