Originally released on CD as part of the deluxe package for the mind blowing collaborative Orb and Scratch albums via Cooking Vinyl, we here at BLKRTZ are over the moon excited to commit these 2 dub monsters to wax for the first time. of the original and Stefano Infusino turns all into a hypnotic
industrial tech-style. The second track fills the listeners ears with
some psychotic vocals surrounded by edged hihats and snares
combined with raspy and harsh synthies. Last but not least
Cromosom002.3 is created on a high volume sub-kick with epic

Memento is really happy to present its 008 release, inviting a couple of guys with big shoulders in the electronic scene: Lee Van Dowski at the control andIlario Alicante as a remixer.
The first thing we loved approaching to these tracks was that the guys were going very far from the street where they usually walk safe; of course you will recognize the touch of them (fortunately!), but we're sure you'll be surprised exactly like us.
The first track "The Old Faithful" is an endless journey from the darkness into light and viceversa, and seems to continues forever. It starts with a very solid groove, percussive and massive, then it cames slowly a pad that brings us to some safe lands together with an acid delayed synth who allows the track to take off with a very sweet and subtle trancey atmosphere. When you think the track is about to finish, here's the main lead synth who slowly takes the control, taking your hand till the end of the track.
The Ilario Alicante's interpretation of this track is a great example of darky witch elegant techno, full of surprises, sudden voices and reversed sounds surround you in every moment supported by some delightful hi hats and a subtle scary groove.

Which is second track "L'Hotel Cherif" Lee goes directly to your stomach.
Kick and bass start in a very self confident way, together with an hi hats riff who makes you think that something very exciting is about to happen. In fact a twisted melodic synth starts his chant giving to the track an epic attitude.
The synth keep on his way opening the cut off and bringing us to the break, where some crazy claps announce the peak.
The Ilario "floor mix" of this track is a dangerous weapon. Techno at his best, hypnotic and emotional, dreamy but solid, where the leading role of the very old school anagogic hats will make you jump!

Dutch producer Marcellis' output has been sporadic at best since his debut on Black Label in 2004, but his masterful outing on Berlin's Workshop stable last year, seems to have marked a turning point in his output. The six-track I Am Woman EP, released on Millions of Moments represents his most extensive work to date, and it proves to be just as deep as that Workshop 12". "Wanderland" and "Dang Me" provide more of those idiosyncratic downbeat beats Marcellis is known for, while "Speakeasy" proves a sumptuous trip through classic piano-led Chicago house. Really though, this is an EP of outstanding vocal house, with Fabian and Dexter's contributions elevating this EP into another league entirely.

Upcoming UK House producer Dudley Strangeways lends his hand to flawless swinging grooves and DX style bass hits with 'Kudos', a track that restlessly fidgets and mixes vibes with melancholic pads and organ stabs. 'Kudos' is sure to get feet tapping and hands clapping.


Swedish newcomer, Lemieux debuts on Klasse with 'Bass Unit'. This beautiful and haunting track takes its time and builds up a wonderful momentum, gathering speed with fully analog kicks and claps it blossoms into an unforgettable bassline drop.

We admit that we took a lenghty summer break, but Curle is back in full force this fall with new stuff from Lucy, Jonas Kopp, Albert Van Abbe and more to be announced soon. And Frank Martiniq of course. He is someone we've been keeping an eye on since his 'Adriano' record in 2002. More recently we enjoyed his releases on Stroboscopic Artefacts and Rotary Cocktail. Amost two years ago he made his Curle debut with 'Golden Dusk', which got remixed by Scott Grooves later on. The three tracks on the new 'Insomniac' EP could be classified as deep techno, but with enough power, groove and melody to set afire a dancefloor. Enjoy!

Superb printed outer and inners sleeves. (loosely translated as Old Komm) are Andrey Kolmogorov and Sergey Gorsky a musical duo hailing from the city of Samara, Russia. Since meeting in the mid 90's the duo started translating their musical ideas by making industrial music using a mixture of field recordings, broken synths, found sound and, what became a constant motif on their output, church pipe organs - Sergey's father was a church organist of 40 years giving the duo plenty of material to tamper with. Isolated from any western influence and attention, the duo released a handful of extremely limited K7s on a now defunct Russian label. The results were unique slabs of industrial music with strong nods to primitive techno, sound design and noise music. For lack of an audience as well as poor distribution the tapes were mostly handed out to friends and family until one reached the 'discrepant' radar a couple of years back. Today, Discrepant presents an exclusive EP of their first work in years, constructed around the sounds recorded on the ex-USSR Baltic port city of Ventspils, Latvia. During a recent visit in 2010 the duo were inspired by the decaying post-industrial charm of the city and decided to re-activate their 'musical' activities. Pressed on 250 vinyl only editions packed in luscious printed outer & inners with photography by Sergey Gorsky.

* The Voyager camp proudly presents their second release, this time packaged as a two part series with both editions crafted by the ever capable Troy Gunner. Undoubtedly one of the most talented producers rising through the ranks, the two part EP is a testament to his versatility while showcasing a diverse range of influences. Both tracks feature regular and well-known collaborators, Rowl and Synkro, and the record conveys an even deeper side to all parties involved, signifying a move away from the traditional arrangements seen today in favour of originality.
* The A side "Is This" features long time friend and collaborator Synkro, a name synonymous with class to followers of the deep and soulful spectrum. An epic 4 minute soundscape sets the tone for what is truly a mould-breaking sonic experience. Beautiful string arrangements held effortlessly within an electronic framework guide the track from its beatless reprise into a guided aural voyage that makes 10 minutes feel like a mere snapshot in time.
* The B side "Forgiving" calls on the services of the ever-faithful Rowl. He has notably caused a stir of late in light of his recently released 'Egipto EP' on The Crescent. To most listeners familiar with both artists, the track is a clear meeting point in the middle of both styles. Vocal mastery coupled with influence from dub techno and the UK bass scene should not come as a surprise to many, yet reformed within its 117 bpm framework, it shines a bright light on the honest artistic intent of the housemates.
* VYGR002A is due for release across both 12" Vinyl and Digital in October 2013, distributed by SRD

Frigio is very honored to release the biggest and most important Spanish electronic project of all times 'Esplendor Geometrico'. From the early 80´s until today, they´ve been delivering the most authentic, raw and powerful industrial electronics you can hear.

'Francotirador' which means 'Sniper' is a track recorded back in 1989 that has only been released on a rare CD Japanese edition in the 90´s and now for the first time gets released on vinyl including the original plus 3 remixes by Sneaker who previously did a remix for Twilight Ritual, Juanpablo the head of Frigio Records and Spanish producer Vinz Vincenzo. 'Francotirador' is pure analogue drums with a strong 'tribal industrial' approach.

Although we are big fans of EG, we must admit that we didn´t know about this song until we heard Sneaker´s remix a few years back when he felt the need to try an even darker and versatile version of it. His remix is complimenting the original drum loop starting with rare stomping Chicagoesque drum work, switching from demonic string-chords to male vocal staccatos, rave hits and back again, finding it's point-of-no-return in a Sartre-like fulminant ending.

On B side, Juanpablo and Vinz Vincenzo get together to create a remix with two versions. Both versions keep the raw percussions from the original with some deep industrial sounds and added some drum elements to make it more groovy, modern and ready to burn dancefloors. Some dark vocals appear randomly to add more flavor to this mixture that we guarantee will be very hard to describe as usual on Frigio Records

'Radio Telepathy' is a rolling, swooning piece of Dub House with an expansive, deep & head-swimming effect.

Gianclaudio Hashem Moniri & Giuseppe Carlini formed the group Plaster in Rome Italy in 2008 and has released EP's, albums & been on compilations with their sharp edged sounds, deep beats with some funky syncopations since 2010 on labels such as Kvitnu, Crazy Language, Stroboscopic Artefacts & Touchin' Bass. And they have already got remixes done of their tracks by Zavoloka, Dadub & Frank Bretschneider to name a few. Both members of Plaster has their own solo careers too, Gianclaudio under the alias Kaeba & Giuseppe his Agan so there's going to be a lot of music coming from these guy's in the future.





'Circular Mechanism' starts of with a dark vibe with drip sounding notes flickering in the soundscape just before one of the bass lines kicks in teamed with the bass drum in syncopated perfection and from there on the track builds it's robotic funk that will work like a charm for any electronica / experimental Dj's as well as on any dance floor that's not just serving a simple 4/4 beat to their crowd. The 'Circular Mechanism (Substance Remix)' is saturated deep in Dub just like you could imagine when Substance has done his magic. Peter Kuschnereit aka Substance has taken Plaster's soundscape, rearranged it to fit his slow pace agenda and turned it into something fitted for the land of nod. So if you like the slower way of life this remix will work like a charm. Peter Kuschnereit is well known on the electronic music scene worldwide through his work as Substance and in the duo Scion with René Löwe aka Vainqueur with releases on the highly acclaimed label Chain Reaction as early as 1995. And as Dj Pete he sure knows how to please any crowd anytime with his fine blend of the proverbial Berlin sound spanning from tougher House to Dubstep verging on Techno.

JoyCut produce a mesmerizing and conceptual sound based on dilated and biting electro sound. The band recently supported Editors on tour and is now releasing 'Pieces Of Us Were eft On The Ground'. JoyCut is also managing a gigantic campaign 'Ghost Trees Forest' which pays careful attention to our sustainable future. In recognition of this the new album will use cellophane tape from 100% biodegradable material and both the vinyl CD and booklet are made from recycled products. That's the reason why JoyCut strongly started to record their works in solar powered recording studios. In September 09 they were invited to the Co2penhagen Festival in Denmark (with artist such as Mercury Rev, Tv-2, Lars H.U.G.). In October 09 they flew to Spain to participate at the Monkey Week and in November they also played in Ireland appearing as guest on the Balcony-TV Show. In the meantime they have performed all over Europe for a brand new pre-release-tour, hitting Croatia, Germany, Denmark, Holland, Ireland, Spain, UK and Canada for the Canadian Music Fest 20[J] CD 10 | They have shared the stage with Arcade Fire and Modest Mouse @ Independent Day 20

Crossing a Frozen Sea is the first release by Belgian electronic music project Red Stars Over Tokyo on Testtoon Records. His music is free-flowing, precise and emotional and references 90's Intelligent Ambient and 80's Industrial music. The 20-minute original is remixed for the B-side by the acclaimed Magazine collective from Cologne. They give the track a liquid bassline and some more forward motion, turning it into an overpowering and emotional trip.

Johanna Knutsson and fellow Swede Hans Berg are finally back on board and bringing a fantastic new release to Klasse's schedule. Donka/Mosquitoes is a wonderful work of melodic Techno and features remixes from Bristol native, October and Bass Culture/Kontra regular Joel Alter.
Donka sets the scene with a Tribal-esque bassline, sounding like something lost deep within a jungle the track writhes about with its elements. Maintaining its groove and pace, it finally reaches new pastures where it takes a softer and more melodic direction. Blossoming into a beautiful breakdown the track takes a breather before stumbling head first into the dark and bumpy territory that came beforehand.
October takes on Donka for remix duties and twists it into something entirely different. Relying only on one subtle part of the original track, October builds a deliciously delirious atmosphere of clanking 808s and freaky echo. Apparently recovering from a skateboarding accident when making the remix, October used his prescribed opiate-medication not only as pain-relief but also as inspiration for this trippy dub.
Mosquitoes starts off with a similar direction, Nord-like bass hits ring out with shuffle and swing, giving the track a distinctly UKG flavour. Arpeggiated synths give the track a balance and provide a delicate and chordal balance, building and building the track keeps up a momentum that is sure to explode on the dancefloor.
Rounding off the release is Joel Alter's remix of Donka, heading in a straight four to the floor direction, Joel utilizes bouncing toms and a throbbing synth hook effectively. The track briefly breaks down, using the melodic and atmospheric parts of the original before returning to the foot-stomping groove.

After unstoppable releases on labels like Moon Harbour, Get physical, Cècille and Truesoul, right before the release of his first album "I WILL WAIT" Marco Faraone is back again on his own imprint "Etruria Beat", managed together with his big friend and partner Luca Agnelli, with a four track Ep influenced by dark and dirty sounds, showing his musical evolution by his moments and travels around the world, not cataloging himself in one style, but ranging continuously between new shades

Dub Rockers is a new compilation featuring US and European reggae acts and Jamaican vocalists on remixes and new combination tunes that highlight the common ground between the two scenes. Dub Rockers taps into the live club and concert scene where alternative rock and reggae genres have blended into a unique sound and (life) style.
Van's spokesperson John Cardiel has created a series of mix tapes that will carry the Dub Rocker's brand into the world of extreme sports.

The long out of print deepchord catalog has since been remastered and will finally be available again on this gorgeous triple LP set. The release includes photography by Rod Modell and a 12" X 12' (frame-able) photograph emphasizing the creative eye and instincts of the artist.
It's been a lengthy and timely process restoring old analog tape, DAT and cassette recordings (some dating back to 1994) all of which have been carefully resurrected from the vault of Detroit's revered NSC Studio. The long out of print catalog has been remastered, mixed, and once again bounced down to tape to ensure the best possible listening experience. Great measures, focus and time were spent to preserve the analog warmth and sonic integrity of the original masters. For those who don't know, these releases are considered by many some of the most inspired and influential sounds to emerge from Detroit well over 10 years ago, a blue-print was set here for many artists to come, a step in the evolution.
Expect gorgeous plumes of sound deeper than the ocean floor, a rich analog tapestry made in the heart of Detroit, Techno City.

Rowl delivers The Crescent's fourth release with two original works packaged alongside a stunning remix from ASC. True to form, 004 is another beautifully varied EP exploring the depth of dub techno with influence from the UK's signature garage and dubstep sounds packaged across a plethora of BPMs.
*Already with a string of releases under his belt on imprints such as ICUAudio, M.U.D and Smoking Sessions, Rowl has stepped up once again to deliver an EP that has both headphone and dance floor appeal; one for the chin-strokers and DJs alike.
*The EP opens with the beautiful 'Egipto' - its careful shuffle mixed with Rowl's signature sculpted dub chords set the tone for the rest of the release and showcases his talent at combining influences, bringing a truly unique vibe to the 130bpm bass movement.

The 4th release from Ljudverket introduces a new artist to the label; Vesa-Matti Kivioja brings us a 7-track journey into sound on his debut vinyl 'Lopun ajat'. Dark and mysterious all the way, this record follows the path of eclectic sounds with nordic flavor that Ljudverket has provided so far.

Alpha Steppa is thrilled to announce the arrival of a truly unique and international release that is bound to enthral music lovers of every generation. Alpha And Omega, true icons of the dub world have joined forces with son and nephew Alpha Steppa to create Dub Dynasty. The record, in the words of Alpha Steppa, is 'an exploration of the unrelenting force of nature and the inspirational powers that brought us together to create this record.' Taking inspiration from this credo, the title Unrelenting Force is a true reflection of the power and community that dub has mastered. Alpha And Omega and Alpha Steppa have called on their favourite collaborators from the UK, Ireland, South America, New York, Jamaica and South Korea to join with them in merging their pure, unadulterated dub into one of the deepest releases ever seen. Alpha Steppa spent 2011/12 living and creating music in Asia, and he has been rewarded with some powerful connections in South Korea. For Unrelenting Force, he has called in Koonta, a member of Rude Paper and Korean reggae duo Koonta & Nuoliunce. Having worked with Alpha Steppa in Korea the pair's previous collaboration is indicated with the smoothness and ease in which Eastern and Western styles are mixed. Another artist from Korea to feature on the release is up-and-coming melodica wunderkind Smiley Song. Featured here on the tracks Dub Dynasty and Warrior Song, Smiley proves that the roots sound is alive and well all over the world. Singing on Chicken and The Cow and The Buffalo and Goodness is N'Goni, one of the most exciting and mysterious new lyricists/singers to hit the scene. One of the most powerful tracks on the album is Monsoon Come, featuring the Dublin based South American singer Ras Tinny, this song is a true representation of the Dub Dynasty sound and is sure to surface as a single. Dub Dynasty is pleased to introduce these exciting new talents to the dub community and are certain a huge future awaits them. Dub Judah, of Dub Jockey label fame, is one of the most respected names in UK Dub. His vocals on The Earth to It's Original Form prove that old dub gods don't die, they just get better and better. If you listen to dub and aren't in awe of the name Linval Thompson, you aren't listening hard enough. This iconic producer and singer has been making reggae since he was 20, playing with every major artist that ever passed through New York or Jamaica. A producer of over 40 albums, he is considered one of the essential contributors to reggae and its message in the 1970's golden era. Featured here on the dub Long Time, Thompson's vocals are as memorable as they are powerful. A taster of the full Linval Thompson release from Vibration Lab due for release later this year. Last but not least, Cian Finn contributes his unique blend of Celtic spirit and rootikal dub to 9 Years and Dub Island. Finn's work as a member of Intinn saw the group named Best Upcoming Reggae act in the U.K and Ireland and he is renowned for his overwhelming positivity and insight into the principals of dub/reggae. Finn worked with Alpha Steppa on last year's Moonshine Steppas release and the pair play off each other beautifully to create music that has a universal appeal and message. The whole album is presented on limited edition 12" vinyl in a beautifully designed sleeve accompanied by a CD containing bonus mixes and dubs. This LP is powered by bass, the kind of bass that can reverberate through your whole body and lift you into another time and place. Raw, pure and unadulterated dub.

After February's vinyl release of Pyramid, a second carefully chosen track from Photek's KU:PALM album is now available on wax.
The Metalheadz-y strings and nervous energy of Shape Charge hark back to Photek's minimalist doom jungle of the mid 90's, yet the
stomping drum programming and dizzily phasing synths show Photek with his feet firmly in the 21st century.
Arguably the biggest track from KU:PALM, Pyramid receives a remix here from London's Mr Beatnick. The hugely respected
producer, DJ and journalist originally from a decidedly Hip Hop background has blossomed over the last 18 months into an
accomplished jazz infused house producer, demonstrated by Synthetes and Sun Goddess on Semtek's Don't Be Afraid imprint. His
remix of Pyramid launches the track into even spacier territory, with the addition of his own cosmic acid bassline and sultry 4x4
groove. In 2013 Mr Beatnick looks set to finally get the props he deserves.

Since writing the suicide note for Skull Disco in 2008, Shackleton has made a well received long player for Perlon and remixed the likes of Harmonia and Brian Eno, Moderat and To Rococo Rot as well as making a mix cd for the Fabric series and one of the final mixes for the Mary Anne Hobbes show on Radio One. This release however sees Shackleton once again with his own label which will go by the name of Woe To The Septic Heart!
Those who have heard Shackleton before may know what to expect and will not be surprised to hear two bass-heavy, percussive tracks with a psychedelic edge and an involved narrative that will perhaps not be played out on every dancefloor. More's the pity.

In the fourth chapter of Shaded Records Denizo continues his journey through the maze of sounds and moods where images and textures get distorted by surrounding architecture. Many friends of "Echtzeit" appreciated his "cl versions 1 - 4" of the sixth
melted recordings release, so some of them did their own interpretations of
one of the themes. These 10 tracks come on two releases: already released
"part 1" and this new "part 2": again melted label owner and manager "ka.pe
with an endless light sound together with clear and straight drums. Madera's
redub I is deep and dub techno with a little kind of funk. "meridian six", an
unknown project with a light, hard but also melodic and rhythmic electro
sound. And finally "insect o." of "etui records" performes a long upbuilding
melodic deep techno hymn.

Transparent Vinyl! The inspirational Rod Modell aka Deepchord follows up Sommer, his second album on Soma, with two exclusive tracks perfectly laid down in only the way he can, giving us 'Tonality of Night'. Both tracks clock in over the 10 minute mark as Deepchord takes us on yet another journey through the unfathomable depths of his unmistakable production.

Spiral 1 floats in gently as deep subs and kicks punch through the delicate ambiance Deepchord creates. Perfectly laid chords echo atop a gentle plain of dream like synth work, the track constantly punctuated with the lightest on percussion, always enough to keep the track moving in the right direction. Deepchord strives to create an ebb and flow, taking the listener with him on a journey and this opening track does so with total precision.

Spiral 2 opens with much more ethereal tones eventually hitting with a deep kick designed to bring you back to Earth with a bang. High hats flutter, allowing your descent into the track to seem almost like falling into a deep sleep. The track then opens gradually, percussion pulsing at the right moments as the vibe created by his soundscapes washes over you.

Not much out there is made with such soul and passion and with every listen to Deepchords music, you gain a sense of his mood whilst being able to get lost in whatever or wherever you may be...

An addendum of sorts to his recent 'Faint Hearted' album, Miles' returns with a half-hour EP of new material more squarely aimed at the floor with four darkened, robust variants.
'Blatant Statement' is up first, slowly emerging from a rough alignment of metallic percussion and abrasive stabs not a million miles removed from the kind of racket you'd most likely associate with Vatican Shadow, before the almost-clipped rub of those super-warm bass stabs shifts the perspective to a different kind of environment altogether.
'Technocracy' delivers an oozing House deconstruction, slowed down and inebriated, while 'Infinite Jest' revolves around an industrial cacophony harnessed into a rhythmic anomaly situated somewhere between technofied Pete Swanson and a sweaty Kassem Mosse. 'Plutocracy' ends the set with a bleached-out warehouse chug, slowed down and menacing, surrounded by a submerged choral arrangement and more of that toughened hammered-metal sound that runs through the EP.

'Grows Without Bound' on the A-side is a monster; a noisy analogue session resurrected from the burning embers of Industrial and Noise, harnessed into an unstable growl that slowly makes room for a barely-there percussive stumble - think somewhere between Vainio and Nate Young.
Over on the flipside 'Primitive Equations' takes for inspiration the bare-boned, hyper-tense production of Photek's still devastating 'Ni - Ten - Ichi - Ryu', slugging out feral, steely noise and 'ardcore torque forged by calloused hands and burning minds to cruel, propulsive effect.

Organic Art Movement's newest signing Morgan Hood, serve up a smorgasbord of atmospheric techno, dubbed out textures and staunch analog muscle.
Morgan Hood survey a sonic landscape that explores the intersections that occur within Oramics range of emotions that are both tough and commanding yet nuanced and subtle. These spectral adventures utilise a sonic arsenal that covers a broad range of electronic and acoustic tones peppered with field recordings of electromagnetic interference, echo chambers and static.

In Mega-Caller, course strokes of electronic interference fizz and spray into a silhouette of dubbed out melancholia to form a backdrop to which vast chords emerge without warning and disappear into the ether. The ground is shaken with a monolithic bass that almost threatens to shatter the delicately constructed arrangement of hand recorded claps, particles of static and other electroacoustic oddities.

Potent Techno-Noir anthem 'Safari' compels us to envisage an Orwellian disco. Bauhaus frequencies and Icey reverbs are the order of the day here with chilling pads dissipating into a smoke filled ether. Meanwhile, the low frequency spectrum is driven by a myriad of unpredictable bass excursions, tumbling and waltzing with their percussive cousins; distorted cowbells, murky toms, and a deformed mutant of an acid house loop.

Consider this an unlikely new soundtrack to London's underground.

The deeply layered rhythms and atmospheric elements that Refracted shows across the four tracks on Along A Ghostly Trail make a perfect match for Silent Season, as the Berlin based newcomer joining some illustrious company in the shape of STL, Djorvin Clain and Edanticonf in contributing to the Canadian label's rise. Clouds of sub bass meld rhythmically with the stripped back percussive lilts of 'Enlightenment' as they traverse a scenic back drop of textural atmospherics, whilst the title track is similar in tone if imbued with a spectral feeling that justifies the name. Contrasting this, both "Oo-Koo-He" and "Hyperdimension" are gloopy bassline lead arrangements that slowly swell around the senses. 2012 was a ground-breaking year for Dissonant. With releases from tINI, Re-UP and Leix, we continued to push new and exciting sounds, whilst building our very own family of artists. Having kicked of 2013 with a fantastic debut from Chad Andrew, we ready ourselves for the return of label chief Marc Antona, as the gallic groove purveyor delivers yet another brilliant brace of tracks. Lead cut 'Trio Tree' opens with a weighty throbbing bassline and moist shuffling brush work. As the snare snaps cleaner the first bubbles of acid sound. Filters fired, we're reduced to the snare and acid as we tentatively and impatiently wait for the drop. Hands to the heavens! On the flip Marc creates another rich musical tapestry and he allows his off kilter drums and scattered sounds and fx a life of their own before pulling them together with metronomic mastery. Dramatic and suspenseful, 'Natural Spy' is the perfect soundtrack.

Amens on Night Slugs OG Grime producer P Jam serves up a curveball on the latest instalment of the White Label series.

Known for seminal beats such as "Anger Management" and "Real", P Jam's old skool productions were right among the canon that influenced Night Slugs so much in the days before we were Night Slugs.

Recently P Jam has been developing a unique production style that incorporates intricately edited hardcore breaks into an updated grime sensibility. A style that is ingeniously deployed on the A side of this 12" - a sub-heavy 2013 jungle 'cover' of a certain very famous Frankie Knuckles production - which is a concept that's just too perfect for the NSWL series. And it's built solid and razor sharp. Ecstasy guaranteed on this one!

On the flip is a bonus cut, another 'cover' of the same track, but this time the breaks, rolling sub and conceptual rave domination are stripped away, creating a skeletal dub version. The icy 808 drums lets the Frankie's sweet melody breathe until a nasty squarewave bass cuts the track in half.

The label's inaugural release comes in the form of 3 tracks from Point Break, the DJ collaboration between the New York label head Arthur Kimskii and Cory James. The A side Sidewalks is a dance floor workout that has subtle and not so subtle nods to the Detroit sound. On the B side you have Wendes and Late for Lunch. On the B Side we have Wednes; a kick heavy crunchy techno tool followed by Late for Lunch, a steady building percussive, textural composition.

One Eyed Jacks is back with another debut release, and like the previous 12" on the label, RoundHouse Kick come from the south of Portugal aswell - Portimão this time.

RoundHouse Kick are actually a couple, and one with unusual couple fixations at that. They're constantly buying, experimenting and selling synths, drum machines and records but fortunately their passion actually translates into more than just an impressive collection - we simply fell in love with "ARM1X" at 1st listen. They also have a kick-ass live act that quickly put their name on the lips of pretty much every discerning electronic music fan from Lisbon with just a handful of gigs, including two floor smashing, hardware-based live sets on two of our label nights.

These tracks got enthusiastic, early support from Jackmaster, Phillip Sherburne, Dan Avery and other relevant dance music players of the now, and have been gathering some of the biggest fan reaction and radio play since we started the label, focusing on a no-gimmick approach to production, combining analogue and digital in search of an honest, evocative sound, inspired in equal parts by the increasingly documented traditions of Detroit and Chicago and the formative early years of a naive and emotional portuguese rave scene.

For the remix we've invited the excellent Auntie Flo, delivering 2 remixes instead of one - Remix and Dub mix - in the fine dance music tradition of adapting the remix to various djs and dancefloor moments.

Miles has been releasing material on Modern Love for a decade, first as one half of Pendle Coven, then on his own as MLZ, and eventually pairing up with Sean Canty to record as Demdike Stare. In between he's also pursued more experimental terrain under the Suum Cuique moniker, produced Jungle for the HATE project and (together with Andy Stott) taken on the occasional release as Millie & Andrea for Modern Love sublabel Daphne. He is also an admired, exhilarating DJ, his sets have been known to span a broad spectrum of electronic music, from the obscure UK techno of labels like Radioactive Lamb and Irdial, to classic Chicago House, Detroit Techno and - most importantly - early 90's jungle and breakbeat, feeding into his love of the most uncompromising end of the Italian experimental movement, Musique Concrète, Synthwave and contemporary Noise. After more than 10 years of producing, "Faint Hearted" is his debut solo album. 'Faint Hearted' is an exposition of Miles' love of electronic music in all its shapes, harnessing his fidgety production style into one expansive, restless set of tracks. The album opens with the filtered and looped Jungle mutation of 'Lebensform', through to the minimal, barely-noticeable bass-shifts of 'Irreligious', the classic Plastikman-infused looped ruffage of 'Status Narcissism' and the padded bliss of "Sense Data", coming across like a lost Move D production from the classic Studio Pankow era. The second half opens with 'Rejoice', a slowly-unfurling 4/4 variant that sounds like a more technofied and electric take on his work with Demdike Stare, while "Archaic Thought Pattern 1" invades a sequence of strings and bass notes with blasts of white noise, sounding like something off Aphex Twin's 'Donkey Rhubarb' EP rebuilt by Mika Vainio. The set ends with the evocative field- recorded sequence 'Queuing' and the ambient futurism of 'Loran Dreams', in some respects the straightest, most affecting 9 minute stretch yet from a producer who is seemingly unable to settle or stand still.

AMIT's debut release on Tempa — 'Acid Trip' — finds the UK-based producer/composer turning his hand towards two dark and deadly dubstep tracks.

'Acid Trip' has been a regular weapon in Youngsta's record bag for some time now,  and it's as confounding and intensely psychedelic as its name suggests - driven along by bounding,  Middle Eastern-influenced percussion,  grinding sub-bass and the gritty shrieks of a 303 acid line. 'Don't Forget Your Roots' nods toward its title: a skanking,  dub-infused and meditative flipside to 'Acid Trip's total freakout,  accompanied by half-sung,  half-whispered vocals from Rani.

AMIT is something of a veteran in UK electronic music,  having been releasing tracks since 2002 via labels such as Commercial Suicide,  Metalheadz and dBridge's Exit Records. He initially became renowned for his stripped back and rolling takes on drum & bass,  which melded harsh and aggressive textures with a spacious and very fluid approach to rhythm. He has released two full-length albums through Commercial Suicide,  and has also composed soundtracks for film and theatre. These two tracks on his Acid Trip 12" show off aspects of AMIT's musical personality that have run throughout his career: by turns ferocious, grounded and holistic.

Following on from the success of BNZ001, Slugabed's new label Activia Benz are releasing their second record, Recolor from Moscow's 813. He is a Russian fireman, and his music is very synth heavy and melodic, as well as very dancefloor.
Recolor EP has been getting DJ support from Om Unit, Kidkanevil, Starkey, XLII, Kelpe, DJ Deville, and more.
Airplay so far from DJ shox (Rinse FM) and Rob Da Bank (Radio 1), as well as KEXP (Washington, USA), WYEP (Pittsburg, USA), Black Athena (Greece), Triple R (Australia) among other international staions.

The CL interpretations, based on the sixth melted recordings release CL Versions of Echtzeit, were firstly divided into two sucessful releases: part 1 and 2. Now that more artists of circle of friends of melted have done their own interpretations, a third part was released. This time all tracks were based on the same track "three", but now with a wide-spread spectrum of techno - from melodic, deep and dubtech to harder, diffused and current state of the art techno. "Monomood", known from the melted recordings friended label Etui Records, starts with his constructive warm and melodic rebuild called "3cl of echo". Also AError is here into deep dubtechno, much different as his last version of part 1. "Sector" varied his track for part 1 into a more deep dub but kicking techno track Terminals RMX". "Bassart", an austrian techno and electro DJ, comes a with highly diffused hard techno interpretation - his first vinyl appearance. It is the first techno track (called "Cotta Re-Dub") of "Bons" on vinyl, too. He is in the circle of friends and supporter of melted for many years, since the start in 1999.

An original electronic disciple hailing from New York, Sandwell District's David Sumner a.k.a Function presents his debut album 'Incubation' on Ostgut Ton. Like the soundtrack to a suspenseful Techno-thriller, or retro-futurist Sci-Fi tale, it's a modern sound journey heavy on imagery. Over nine tracks we are guided through the varying moods and scenes of Function's musical temperament. Be it through writhing layered club tracks, soaring string-led atmospheres, or melodic pieces founded on classic electronic traditions, 'Incubation' marks a new level of maturity for the Berlin-based producer. What begins as a lush and blossoming lesson in ambient synth arrangements, with the beautiful arpeggios and waveforms of 'Voiceprint', quickly drops off the apex and into the depths of Function's filtering acid world as 'Against The Wall' unfolds. This metallic, acidic concept is explored further too, in the final moments of the album with the chilling 'Psychic Warfare'. A spiraling, organic surge of warm synth tones and other-worldly arpeggios unravels itself in 'Counterpoint', acting as an early bridge between some of the drum-led studies that follow. And thus, the pressure increases. 'Modifier' presents itself with tight, snaking drum patterns and tense, late 90s kinetic warehouse energy. Opening a path into an alternate, yet not too distant dimension then, 'Incubation (Ritual)' takes form; it's haunting and graceful waves of synths continue the Sci-Fi theme, while the tough modulating bass undercurrent reminds us of Function's big-room Techno appeal. The final moments of 'Incubation (Ritual)' glide effortlessly into the album version of 'Inter', where ethereal melodies and snippets of spoken word surround a classic IDM-Deep-House core. 'Voiceprint' returns as a (Reprise) version, in what could become the crossover club track of the year. Coming on like a classic R&S or Soma release circa '95, the undulating synths are now caught in a rapturous groove, urged on by a perfect 909 drum pattern and forward pushing, precise arrangement. Taking the minimalistic, hypnotising mantra of previous Function 12''s like 'Isolation' or 'Burn' to another level, 'Psychic Warfare' brings the voyage to a a close, it's overlapping, ebbing metallic acid tones inducing equal measures of tension and elation. In the CD version of the album, 'Gradient I' concludes the voyage. Earthy, modulating bass and 808 patterns merge as a cyclic, audio resolution occurs. With a final, intense atmospheric wash we find ourselves re-born, out in the ether, having witnessed an event of great weight and substance. In the final mixing stages of the album Function brought the material to cult engineer and producer Tobias Freund (NSI). Since 1980, working with the legendary Frank Farian, Freund's skills helped bring acts like the controversial Grammy award-winning Milli Vanilli to fame, and he would pioneer early European Techno and Electronica through his Sieg Über Die Sonne project (with Dandy Jack). Function chose Tobias to do his work justice, and add his years of mix experience to this ambitious, succinct and artistic album. Bound in mysticism, forged through experience, 'Incubation' is a bold and powerful album from one of modern Techno's key players. Inclined to hold back, rather than release too much, Function has let his sound develop and mature, fusing analog synths and drums with modern production techniques to create something unique and timeless.

KLSUNDERGROUND002 takes the series in a decidedly darker direction and none better typifies this than the work of Kris Wadsworth, the young Detroit native brings his A-Game with 'Rules', a swaggering and moody acid-tinged track that ticks all the boxes of his signature style.


Klasse crew members Mr. Ho and Florian Blauensteiner team up on 'Crescendo' and proving two heads are better than one, the Viennese duo turn in a mean and powerful roller of a track. Arpeggiated synths and stuttered grooves provide a sturdy backbone to a track with bucketloads of attitude.


Upcoming UK House producer Dudley Strangeways lends his hand to flawless swinging grooves and DX style bass hits with 'Kudos', a track that restlessly fidgets and mixes vibes with melancholic pads and organ stabs. 'Kudos' is sure to get feet tapping and hands clapping.


Swedish newcomer, Lemieux debuts on Klasse with 'Bass Unit'. This beautiful and haunting track takes its time and builds up a wonderful momentum, gathering speed with fully analog kicks and claps it blossoms into an unforgettable bassline drop.

The Detroit Threads record store has survived in one incarnation or another for more than16 years. In this time personal relationships have formed with music makers of every circle over the common bond of vinyl sound. It was a logical step to give back to this community a product that reflects the many faces that make up the store. Nospectical is Walter Wasack, Jennifer Paull, and Chistopher Mcnamara. They are a team of Detroit sound artists that lean into e.d..m. on the minimal tip. Their comfort zone is inside of a sounds cape near the sphere of unconsciousness. Nospectical is a cool dark breeze that is alive with a pulse.
