Alan Backdrop surfaces with his very debut on Swiss Motoguzzi Records. A two-part
release showing up his broad and forward thinking musical perception inspired by
nature and surrealism as well as his exceptional production talent. The first part
- Excursion A' comes with three atmospheric musical journeys ranging from dub-techno
to abstract and ambient.

Davor is no stranger but new to Kimochi Sound. Rough mechanically separated edges break down from tumbling chaos into a more comfortable entropy. Uneasy pleasures.

Kevin Arnemann and Daan Kemp's Taped Artifact label clocks up its fourth release with a three track offering from Outlaw Rec boss and key part of the Italian Serendipity club, namely Matthew Oh. Matthew has previously released on his own label and others like Side Off, and eloquently marries dub, techno and house into smooth and sensuous sonic landscapes. The opening track 'Psycho Hub' is an atmospheric and spacious roller with dubbed out drums and pads, coupled with incendiary hi hats urging you along. 'Shroud' is seven minutes of slick and spaced out deep techno with liquid synths and clacking hits all racing along and making for a frictionless groove that sucks you right in. Finally, 'Get in the Fridge' slows the tempo down and becomes an even more widescreen and roomy roller with suspensory pads, smeared synths and aqueous sonic details that make you feel like you are floating in sound.

Catren hits the shelves with its second release, a 3-tracker slow cooked by Emi Nescu.We jump on this house & techno bandwagon with Maimultmodelat, a 12 minute piece stripped down to its hihat backbone, with the focus points centered here & there on the wobbly bassline and the sharp cut kicks. As for the Side B, a more textured journey awaits us: Soustra, encapsulating its warmth deep into the fading melodic strips and the fast paced Walkabout, a breaks sequence that could easily hyopnotize the crowd with its electro reminiscences hidden under the percussions layer.Catren 002 exposes us to 3 apparently different tracks yet with one strong thing in common: Emi Nescu's groove led energy

We continue THE ORB's SIN IN SPACE remix EP series with a third volume focussing on the duo's latest full-length, the highly acclaimed COW / CHILL OUT, WORLD! (KOMPAKT 354 CD 134). The spontaneous, organic vibe and sample artistry of the album is reflected in three distinct reworks from highly respected Kompakt mainstays THE FIELD, DAVE DK and JÖRG BURGER - all of them informed with surprising twists and displaying a clear lineage to the source material.
THE FIELD's remix of 9 ELMS OVER RIVER ENO takes the original's percussive part and unfolds it to a swirling, tropical epic that alludes as much to The Orb's multifaceted sound collages as it does to the hypnotic, looping flow of The Field's own output. Meanwhile, DAVE DK turns in a club-friendly revamp of 4AM EXHALE with the fittingly titled ACCELLERATOR MIX, indulging in exquisitely lyrical glitches and the magic of the straight bassdrum. JÖRG BURGER takes a shot at the beatless 5TH DIMENSIONS with the excellent DSCHUNGELOPER MIX - its loose pop jam feeling and flirty shuffle rhythm recall Burger's lush lounge core efforts under his Triola monicker.

PoleGroup presents the fourth opus of his CD mix series Unknown Landscapes Vol. IV: a compilation of unreleased tracks, mixed and compiled by a member of the PoleGroup platform.

To make up the fourth volume, Juan Rico, has selected 22 previously unreleased tracks. Besides tracks by Reeko, Exium, Kwartz, Jonas Kopp, Pfirter and Oscar Mulero, the tracklist includes works by many new faces at the label, such as Reggy van Oers, DJ Hyperactive, Unbalance and Kangding Ray.
With this fourth volume, PoleGroup invites you to discover a powerful selection of unreleased tracks from high-quality techno producers, all mixed by Reeko in an 74 minutes long compilation.

Young blood Via Maris makes his first mark with two weighty Bristol Techno slabs on the brand new label project from Alex Digard, bossman at 'Tape-Echo' - Via Maris has operated just below the radar for some time now, with strong support from the likes of Lurka, Asusu, Batu, Rhythmic Theory and many peers in the scene. It should also be noted that this debut 12 does not bare the mark of a newcomer at all - drop these on a worthy rig and watch the damage unfold. The second Eliptic vinyl is coming from GIAS, fresh collaboration between Julian and Andrei Stoian, Bucharest based producers. This 3-track release perfectly combines various feelings and it takes you through happiness, melancholy and joy.
A-side Un Anume' focuses the action around the occasional spoken vocals helping things roll along, groovy and perfect for the main part of the night. On B-side Pedant' is a little darker and melancholic, but maintains the obsession with rough-but-groovy rhythms and mind-bothering bass vibrations.
Stop Cadru' is the track that puts you in action through each element, waterish sound, sustained by subtle hats and voices and a powerful bass line.
Cadre' is pressed in 200 copies, 180g, Vinyl Only.

We are moving forward with new sounds this summer, and are happy to shed some light on our '4Plae Blanc' project. This series is geared towards slightly lighter vibes, and 001 will really set the tone for what is to come.

Hailing from the city of Bucharest, Nice ' N Trick have been earning their stripes over the past couple of years, which includes having works on labels such as Mulen, Heisenberg, Arupa, Baile Musik, Tzinah and many more. Their track 'Adiacent' delivers the vibrant sounds we love, brought together with tight percussion and warm soundscapes.

Another gem from Bucharest has contributed to 4PLVB001. Direkt has become a good friend of the label and we are extremely happy and proud to have him on board this release. 'Caries' is a bouncy and atmospheric track that delivers a solid analog sound - another factor we feel passionate about. No doubt this wont be the last you hear from Direkt in coming months...

Percival is also an analog head. This Detroit artist has bundles of musical knowledge and a love for many types of music. His track 'All Night' is a vocal orientated track with crisp hats and snares, and a pounding kick throughout - we love the mood this track set's at parties.

In the past few months, 4Plae founder ADMNTi and head honcho at Samani - F.eht, have formed a collective, FAT. Their remix of Percival's track sets a moodier vibe in comparison to the original, and wraps up the release nicely with evolving synths and techier sounds.
