The third, somewhat overdue, installment of Andy Blake's Cave Paintings series finally sees the light of day. All the Cave Paintings releases are one-take analogue excursions constructed by machines and recorded live in New Cross Gate and mastered for vinyl in Hackney.
3x is a close cousin of 2y. A simple but dramatically effective warmly buzzing bassline is clambered all over by layers of interlocking pure analogue percussion. Machine funk meets the locking crew for a warehouse showdown.
3y heads into thus far uncharted territory. An evil, growling lfo driven bass underpins militaristic percussion that's slammed hard into ancient spring reverbs and accompanied by the sound of synthesisers being choked to death. Heads down strobe-lit dancefloor action.

Serious 'outside-the-box' house tracks on the Giegling sublabel again! Great strings and chords, weird samples & vocals and steady beats, deepness, groove, fun and even a bit of melancholy: it's all there. Garanteed to create a stir on the dancefloor.

Chicago's Ricardo Miranda makes his debut for the ace Stilove4music label, maintaining a fine year in which he has already dropped some serious heat on Rush Hour sub-label Hour House Is Your Rush and his own Noble Square imprint. Title track "102point 7" is all jagged synths, throbbing arpeggios, slashing claps and a rolling acid groove, marking it out as one of his most incendiary productions to date. On the flip "Rotary Cells" is deeper still, a 909-led jacker with undulating layers of sub bass augmented by a wonderfully woozy vocal which extols the virtues of true Chicago House. This is followed by "Greenline", a stripped back jam with scuttling hats and the kind of paranoid synth melody that wouldn't sound out of place in Jeff Mills' Something In The Sky series. This is dark, raw, pulsating dance music - highly recommended.

Francesco Baudazzi, sometimes known as Obtane amongst other secretive pseudonyms, is an electro-acoustic sound artist hailing
from the Tyrrhenian coast between La Spezia and Carrara on the West Coast of Italy and is renowned for producing truly dark
atmospheric and droning conceptual music, enlivened with subtle, spacious field recordings and analogue synthesis.

Irish lads Ian Mc Donnell and Dara Smith have been recording for some time as Lakker with a number of releases for the likes Lazybird, Alphabet set, Acroplane and most notably Killekill. Here we proudly present their first Blueprint record in the form of the Arc E.P.

A superb mix of bass driven techno and electronica across the four tracks here but the office fave has to be A2's super-shuffling piano track 'Ed'
which reminds very much of mid-period Anthony 'Shake' Shakir material from days long gone...
