voiski already made his entry on the label with a track for the dolly deluxe series taken from steffi's fabric mix cd. the talented french producer returns in typical voiski style with 3 unique cosmic techno drifters and wraps up this quality release with a dark electro slammer!

The tight knit groove specialists ESHU return with another excellent split EP featuring core members Jocelyn Abell and Ivano Tetelepta. They take one track each and collaborate on one other and again they lock you into their excellent drums from start to finish. First up the Dutch pair work together on Bury The Chains, a super deep and smoky dub cut that is cavernous, mystical and all consuming. The drums are buried way down below the surface as distant pads bring a feeling of automatic and icy hi hats ride up and own the mix. Abell then offers 1949 - 1952, a driven bit of spaced out techno that glides on rubbery drum programming and is fleshed out with gorgeous swirling pads. Last of all, It Was Not A Choice is a quick and slick deep techno affair with deft synths and wet hits all sinking you into the journeying groove. These are three devastatingly effective and atmospheric tracks of heady techno.

Neil Landstrumm and Tobias Schmidt are two men responsible for modern day electronic music. When the sound crawled out of the primordial speaker, this pair were there to welcome it. For more than twenty years the two have worked together as Sugar Experiment Station and arrive on Shipwrec for their first collaboration in eight years. This is a 12" born in burning furnaces of bass. Moulded in those low frequency fires, smelted in the thumping heat, are beats, beats hardened like steel before being shaped into lancing points. With these tools of rhythmic brimstone SES goes about destroying dancefloors before reinventing them. Chords are rolled in gravel, doused in distortion and rinsed in static. A style forged from the friction of pistons, the sweat of the assembly line, before being dipped in a searing liquor of circuitboards and molten microchips. A year after the heartbreaking loss of 'brother' Scott Hardkiss, Gavin and Robbie Hardkiss release 1991 which was described by Magnetic Magazine as 'a throwback to that heady time as well as a timely loop into the future.' Reunited in the Bay Area in 2010, Gavin and Robbie produced an album that stands tall in the often repetitive world of electronic dance music. Named for the year the Hardkiss collective was formed, 1991 references the sounds and sentiments of their early rave days while exploring new funk and pseudo pop directions.

Love Don’t Come Easy” EP from finnish label ENOTAKTIK delivers two original techno tracks with a hint of rave spices from label head Kitkatone. Remixes are served by Morphology with their signature electro style and Counterweight label boss Gonzo MDF’s high energy spanking.

The project includes four remixes of three very famous tracks from the Leo Anibaldi's 90s back catalogue.

On the A side, Attack Random is given a remix treatment by The Advent and Possession is remixed by Knobs. On the B side, Surgeon has given an analogue reinterpretation to Attack Random. Lastly, we have Il Futuro e' Nostro (The Future is Ours), remixed By Ralph Mirto.

The first release 'We Surrender in Grey' on the A side is all new material of dark, ambient dance music featuring Sangam's trademark synths recalling a lost void mixed with hard hitting kicks.

The second release 'Facing Reality, (You're not Here)' on the B side was released on Lost In The Rain of Our Tears and will now be available on cassette 9/19 in Edition of 25.

The prolific artist has released on labels such as Dream Catalogue, Lobster Theremin, Pure Life, and Doomtrip Records.

When he dons his Smoke cloak, Neil 'Nail' Tolliday assumes a mysterious, dubbed out persona which amps up the reverb and delay for some truly somnambulant deep house trips. It's been a good few years since we last heard from the project, but now it makes a welcome return on 89:Ghost with just the kind of sweet and spaced-out house we like. "DBSDUB2" may be drenched in dub techno melancholy, but it's the pairing of the soulful undertones and rock solid rhythm section that make it a hit. "BAQDUB" takes things deeper down into meditative but still rolling territory, while "HOTARU" strips back the gaseous pads to make for a Maurizio-flavoured cut. "BAUCH3" finishes the set with a classy micro dub excursion to properly melt into - the perfect end to an aesthetically watertight record.

Boy was this worth the wait: Steve Rachmad's first full solo contribution on Kanzleramt was on our wish-list for at least a decade. Just in time to start our 25th anniversary series "STERAC - 11" is mastered and ready. Steve is showing all his experience and history so masterfully, that you almost can touch glimpses of the future.

"11" is about the meaning of the number 11 and what figures it stands for.

B1- Der Mond is a psychotic electro/techno horror poem while B2 leaves you confused but happy. B3 is the final tune with moaning voice snippets and slightly offbeat bassdrums .Grotesque and Heavy! With a disturbing eye of a dragon or maybe an alpha draconian? Also, allusions to a wellknown former british labels are (not?) intended.

It has been two years since the first compilation on the Various Artists series (PEVA) of Pi Electronics and the concept has stayed true to its aim: to present a coherent selection of the label's favourite collaborators from the roster and parties over the years. Bringing together Greek and international artists, this compilation opens with a 10 minute recording by the combined forces of Orphx and JK Flesh (Justin Broadrick), from a live performance recorded in Amsterdam. Meanwhile we also showcase the resurfacing of Vofa, the joint project of producers Sawf and ANFS. There is a variety of options in this 13 tracks release; from the raw and harsh textures of An-i and New Frames, to Lycurgus live drum set recordings, Kondaktor's African percussive electronics and Sarin's EBM infused techno. Some more techno interpretations, such as the hypnotic moods of Stave and Fragedis, or the more punchy sounds of Restive Plaggona and Poison Green. These shape the full picture of this second Pi Electronics compilation titled "Divide & Rule".

Victor first released on Drumcode last year on their most recent edition of the famous A-Sides Vol.7 compilation with his colossal track ‘Pulso’. Victor has been relentless when it comes to producing absolutely huge sounding tracks, which are heavily suited to the big club room vibe. This May he steps up for his debut EP on Drumcode with ‘Nimbus’.

The title track ‘Nimbus’ marked an important milestone in his life, his arrival to Berlin, his new home. Due to the lack of studio space and set up, he made Nimbus entirely with headphones and laptop. A piercing track with a punctuated kick drum that cuts through the mix, alongside some industrial tones which build an eerie tension. A track that really sits on the darker side of the progressive techno world.

Victor explains that this release is “very much a mix of old and new” representing two stages of his life. ‘Unveil’ was a track he produced back in Sao Paulo, when day dreaming of his move to Europe. A chunky low end combined with big percussion that makes it more of a heady introspective track on the release. It most definitely shows a more experimental side Victor but is welcomed and makes for a thunderous dancefloor track.

Terminal M's first lady Monika Kruse can't be prouder than supporting Brasil's techno queen ANNA with another release on her imprint. Female power at its best. ANNA's latest incredible worldwide success is definitely well deserved and should even be improved by these brandnew techno bangers. Don't be afraid, face your fears.

Dawl on Art of Dark

We follow up this year with a strong vinyl EP by Portuguesetorrero DJ Dextro. His name is cruising in the techno scenesince nearly two decades (also with the alias - Redkone ) andfeatures a number of releases on labels like Suara, Toolroom, Nervous or Naked Lunch. Moreover he's the label owner ofTanira Records and Codein Music, and creates event conceptslike the Red Room Sessions.

Freak goes around straightly with jacked up techno andturns directly into the mind. The arpeggiated and specklesschord defines the track obviciously and thrills it up to a hypnotising assessed master of ceremonies.

Second track on the A-side is called - Sinapse and has a touchof more spherical techno, but deeply ingoing as well. A wideatmosphere is generated by winding pads and intertwininglayered strings, which resolve in an acid peak.

The other side starts with - Modulator - an intense trip ofshuffled and chopped elements. Evolving sounds bringing an enormous drive into the game and rises a vigorous tension.

Ghost In A Shell consists as well of nicely modulated arpsounds and induce a proper drive. The emerging tale flips intowarmly glitching parts which turns the mind crazy andcompletes this highly potential release.

A slow dance with love and death.

The VOITAX label project enters a new level with this cinematic three track EP by an upcoming producer every electronic enthusiast should keep an eye on. The seventh release features noisy grinding patterns cut up with well mangled movie quotes which find their climax in rough EBM influenced breaks. It’s no doubt that given some of her last releases, Monika Kruse is an artist who enjoys sharing thoughts, ideas and creative processes with other artists in the form of collaborations. Many of her joint projects with Pig&Dan have, over the years, proved to be incendiary slices of contemporary dance music.

‘Actually, I didn't think I had time to get into the studio to do a collab, but I wasn't happy with a track I started. So I sent it to Timmo, to see what he could add to it and here we are! He gave the track some elements which I think took it to the next level and I loved it!” says Monika.

This year, she invites Bulgarian techno producer Timmo to join her, fresh from his success with Drumcode last year with his ‘Meteorite’ EP. Timmo, barely in his twenties has achieved a great deal in the last two years. “I asked Timmo to do a remix for Clint Stewart on Terminal M 2 years ago, it became such an anthem track. I still play it now” adds Monika.

‘Violet’ is a tough melodic tech workout which combines the best of Terminal M’s history and the passions and youthful exuberance of the Bulgarian wunderkind. Opening with a bright melody, we are quickly plunged into workman-like drums and bubbling synths. Riding waves of suspense, the synths guide you along to the next big moment as layers of tension bring us neatly to the ambience of the main break. Arms aloft, the drop is mesmerising; the kick powerful and alluring.

Skryptöm collective is a special project who's joining all the skryptöm artists in studio during a week and they produce many tracks, 16 this time but we keep the 4 stronger to put on vinyl and it gives this super strong techno release on which all the artists have participated.

But skryptöm collective is not only a week of production for a release, during that week we do some master class on sound engineering, hardware and modulaire, electronic musician career development and at the end of that week we propose a big event on 2 rooms the biggest one is a combination of special exclusive unic live for a night with duo, trio or quator on stage and a second venu with all the artists playing dj in an other style than their usual techno style (electronica, electro, D'n'bass, etc...) Then Skryptöm collective is a global electronic project and this records is the result of it, Techno and electronica, enjoy !!!

Long time techno soldier Clark Davis hails from Hamburg, Germany, where he runs his parties and label District 66 with his friend Markus Schwarz. We all met back in March 2015 during a Wall Music party in Hamburg. That's almost 4 years ago... Since then, we regularly exchanged demos back and forth, waiting to find the perfect tracks that would fit our common vision of techno. That time is now: Clark Davis delivers a piece of wax that defines his view of electronic music, influenced by the American techno scene. Dig in!

Disabled is a new project consisting of Tobias Schmidt & Cynthia Stern. Varvet 003 is the result of two sessions in Berlin in late 2016 / early 2017. Bassy techno/electro/punk for the late late hours.

Three strikes deep so far, Gregor Tresher ignites the GTO machine for another unique two-track techno excursion that digs deep into his past while staring defiantly at the future.

First, the future: A place totally accessible with 'Substance' as it surges triumphantly into the unknown with a continuous cycle of new elements layering up over the laid back groove yet-relentless modulating pattern. Suddenly Gregor's signature pads hit home and the future has landed.

For a taste of the past, check 'Inhale': A bass-heavy electro breakbeat that nods back to Gregor's rich electroid history as Sniper Mode who released a body of work on Elektrolux, Mikrolux and Electrix during the early 2000s. Slinky-yet-sci-fi, spaced yet dense, this one will have you creeping right back to the source.

Back to the present: Dokser's Atoll build on the momentum he has developed on Inctacto with a breath-taking alternate take on 'Inhale'. Pounding into tomorrow with raw drive and determined peak time darkness, it's devilishly direct... Just as all GTO releases have been so far. Don't sleep.

Jay Lumen returns on his Footwork imprint with a very unique Acid Techno loaded dance floor monster.

These days it's almost impossible to find people on the streets who are not constantly tuning in with their smartphones or tablets. Or we see friends sitting around a table who are not actually talking to each other but tapping theirs phones and surfing the web. Jay was inspired by this current problem of the digital era.
Jay Lumen: "Wake up people and watch the real world, the nature around you, make real connections, relationships, friendships, families, talk to each other in the real world.... and go to a Techno party to dance your head off..."

Connected' drives on Jay's distinctive 303 sounds combined with a fat kick and bass-line. While the raw energy creates a throwback of old school Acid Techno it clearly resonates a fresh new school sound.

Mantra Techno And Cinematic Textures Opening Up Rooms.

UX 001 is a conscious effort to push buttons and turn rotary encoders whilst using ears to monitor the results. Three tracks all with different durations and sounds in each of them, it's deep stuff.

Myk Derill is back on Knotweed.

The E.P. opens with 'Compulsive', a slow minimal dub anthem like only Myk can deliver, full of positive vibes. Cut in 45 rpm for maximum audio damage.

'Sacrifice' is a much tougher big room affair, bringing sinister synths, dark voices and rolling snares on top of a sub bass heavy drum kick.

In 'Group Cohesion', Myk drops an acid line, dripping and tingling down your spine like there is no tomorrow. One of these tracks where less is more.

As part of the third volume of Peter Van Hoesen's Uncovered 2008-2018 retrospective comes a four-track vinyl edition. A selection compiled out of unreleased tracks, sketches and edits from his live shows transformed into an essential and club ready 12" with fierce techno from the highest order.
