Contact was established with Thee J Johanz after two full years of oblique telekinetic communication strategy and hiding cross stitched hieroglyphs depicting occult modes of interstellar travel in his 'food waste only' bin. Once we had captured his attentions, and several rounds of erotically intense negotiation later, Johanz agreed to dig deep in his DAT archives for unreleased, unheard and unassailable recordings from around the era of his seminal Irdial Discs 'Confidential' sessions and allow us to put them into your earholes via the terrible step child that is our Work For Love label. Three offerings from the golden era of British Electronica are hereby presented and packaged with love for fans old and new. Side A comes deeply carved with an alternative take of Savanah from Johanz' Confidential release while the B side holds a double dunt of unheard & relentless dance floor bangers Unreleased #9 and Choke Me.

"Forty Six Knobs Machine" by Unbroken Dub is the first release from Nikita Zabelin's label, Resonance Moscow. Based in the Russian capital, the label focuses on electronic music from towns and regions nationwide. Unbroken Dub is the stage-name of Denis Safiullin, well known to domestic audiences as a member of the Hot Wax team. That project comes from the industrial city of Tyumen, sometimes called the "Hydrocarbon Heart of Russia." Winter temperatures in the area can fall below -45C. Denis is a long-standing aficionado of analog synths and continues to experiment with all manner of samples. Those two trajectories produce a high level of originality, especially when he enlists the support of leading club figures from around the world. Denis' release for Resonance Moscow is excellent proof of this bold experimentation. All three tracks on "Forty Six Knobs Machine" use the Rokton, an antique Soviet drum synth.

New Yorker Anthony Parasole provides three powerful, dancefloor productions for the third release onJoseph Capriati's new label REDIMENSION. The exceptional opener 'Velocity' wastes no time setting the theme of the record with its supremely-tight drum programming, jerky bassline and synth notes that spiral into space. 'Bang' has similarly skipping percussion and a looped melody which reveals itself for a moment midway through the track before the pulse beats on. A killer, minimalist combination of drums, bass and the sample that the track takes its name from. Finally, the restrained, warehouse feel and human touch to the rhythm of 'Hot Zone' again finds the Berghain resident exploring the sweet spot between house and techno. Swedish born Christian Smith is sitting firmly at the top of the electronic dance music industry. His outstanding productions over the years have set the bench mark high, releasing on a collection of the industry's most respected labels such as Drumcode, Cocoon, Bedrock, Minus and his very own Tronic.
2016 has been a busy year so far for Christian, his Tronic label party series has been holding events worldwide, including the BPM Festival and Sonar OFF week, and an ever growing catalogue of releases not forgetting his most recent EP Force Majeure released in July on Drumcode which immediately entered Beatports Techno Top 10, straight in at No.8.
This September, Christian will release his third solo album titled Input-Output on his own Tronic imprint. Consisting of 11 original tracks, each one embodies Christians message of creating real techno, with powerful percussions and melodic basslines throughout.
As the first album teaser, he released the first track Blast Off on the 25th July. This track is the definition of a techno builder, steadily rolling and pulsating its way through a rising synth blast that takes you high before dropping you back into the crispy percussive beat. You can expect the second set of exclusive tracks to be released on the 22nd August, with both Subzero (Club Mix) and Explanation.
Input/Output is an outstanding production offering some of the best driving techno you can expect from an artist like Christian, with his trademark style incorporated in every track.
It takes you on a journey, through a variation of sounds and textures, which still manage to cater to everyone's musical palate. Synthesizers work their way throughout, alongside dark atmospheric harmonies and haunting vocals or that pounding kick drum in some of the heavier tracks. It never disappoints!

Dark Sky return with two highly effective techno tracks featuring dark and roaring basslines at the center, the London duo leave no doubt that they haven't lost any of their acclaimed production skills.

"Kilter" is a rhythm-driven club anthem, featuring a sweeping bassline that nods to classic Dark Sky, while on the Bsdie, "Acacia" opens with ethereal synth pads before giving way to a onslaught of low end goodness before slowly revealing building percussion which finally climaxes in all its thumping glory.

Paying tribute to electronic pioneers like Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Florian Fricke while staying clear of historical mystification Gajek revisits the abstract clarity and improvisational audacity of 1970s electronics from a perspective firmly rooted in the digital now - this is not '71. Today motoric rhythms emerge and elapse from postdigital aural scapes, intense and sublime, linking the thermodynamic to the ephemeral. Beyond the echoes of past utopias '17 discovers present signs for possible tomorrows.

Jun Kimata is a sound designer based in Tokyo specializing in acid techno music.His debut album "silo" released in 2012 by Denryoku Label is a mystic journey through this style and we are pleased to announce his Shape Of My Voice EP - a continued exploration of his signature sound, full of pleasant psychedelic surprises around every corner. High praise indeed from the owner of Fabric London and a bold statement for Spanish DJ/Producer Marino Canal to live to up to. The sound engineering graduate's impressive wax spinning skills had been witnessed at the 2013 Ibiza Music Summit and it wasn't long before the White Island resident was tearing up the cavernous London basement with a set brimming with his own productions. 

Organic textures, hypnotism and melancholy feature heavily in Marino's sound and are once again evident in the Percolate EP. As its name suggests, the title track bubbles with dancefloor tension whilst its tight groove never quite reaches boiling point. Can't Feel, on the flip, is more of the same. Deep, atmospheric and understated, a perfect example of Marino's blossom talent.

Alexey Volkov first appeared in the techno scene in 2011. His past releases on the Semantica and Jealous God labels have gained Alexey and his music widespread acclaim. Since his debut, Alexey has been busy crafting and perfecting his sound. His origins in Punk and Industrial become apparent in his new EP for Escapism. He continuously proves that his assertive yet refined style is worth the hype as unconventional rhythms and unsettling sounds dominate the tracks.

Kyle Geiger returns on his home label with a set of tracks designed to recapture the basic function of techno. It's music to sweat to at a party. Additionally, this package aims to capture a sense of timelessness through melody interwoven with a pumping breed of techno rhythms. The title track, Homecoming, starts with a bottom-heavy percussive workout, then presses forward with an array of slowly filtering brighter synth stabs. The breakdown sees an arpeggiated synth slowly overtake the rhythm of the track just long enough to build tension and bring things back to full speed. The Verge is a very stripped back, drum track style cruiser, which builds tension with a rising distorted pulse sound filtering in and out. Just as it seems that the back half of the track will carry on as planned, a running melody comes in and changes the direction of the entire track. The Verge (Beat Tool) is identical to the original, but build for those a little shy about slightly more upfront melodies.

We are talking about Fausto and Val Rocher form the duo named Silicon Vallée which started off in the early days of 2013, after Faustos EP was released on Pacific Records. They then grasped the opportunity to assemble a full analog hardware set up in order to start their story as young live artists. After a bunch of
many live performances (Open the box, Deep in house... etc), they got together to polish their house and techno based live and can now work on producing their sounds. Fear of Flying return after a lengthy hiatus to celebrate their 10 year anniversary 6 months after it happened. So, tracks from label mainstay BLM butt up against newer artists from across the EU, combining together to make a flavoursome sonic stew.

Dyad present the second instalment of their Common Purpose Series. VSK sets things in motion with the seductively brutal 'Echinopsis' before Don't Be Afraid boss Semtek launches his new techno-focused guise STK with the crafty analogue techno of 'Machete'. On the B-side, Blueprint's Rommek contributes some of his most captivating work yet in 'Klaxon', and to round things off Argentinian artist Tomas Kunkel is given his first vinyl outing with the Malian rhythms of 'Altered Chants'.

The latest release from Bjarki Runar's bbbbbb label sees Bjarki delving back into his vast archives and shines a light on a bizarre detour during the early days of the label that involved
a peculiar commission from the Icelandic state. Bjarki introduces the story; 'It was back in 2015 and we were only just putting together the original plans towards making bbbbbb a label. While this was happening, I got a call from a friend who was
working for a local tech start-up and marketing company. They'd been contacted by the Icelandic Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture who came to them with a weird proposition.
They were looking at the idea of marketing Icelandic lamb as this user-exclusive commodity for high end restaurants, the same way they do with Kobe beef in Japan. His marketing company was going all in with this idea of creating an elite herd of sheep that would get the 5-star treatment - fresh food and beer, shampoo and geothermal baths for their fleece, and entertainment such as TV and music for when they were in the hills. That's where I came in'. The initial meeting between Bjarki and the marketeers however didn't go as smoothly as they hoped; 'When I met my friend and his team, they were going to have music pumped through a series of remote speakers across the hillside' Bjarki explains. 'But when they showed me what they were going to play to them, I almost fell of my chair laughing! It was all this
cheesy, easy listening, orchestral Icelandic bullshit. I said to them 'This is nonsense! Why are you bringing me into this project if that's all you're going to be playing' In the end, I told
them I would completely redo all the sounds and music they were going to be using. I was going to drag the Icelandic sheep into the 21st Century'. Bjarki was as good as his word. Over the summer of 2015, he spent several weeks at farm
locations near Kirkjubæjarklaustur and Reykholtsdalur, walking the hills and playing a variety of sounds and beats to various flocks of sheep to see what the best approach was. It
was tough going at first; 'At the beginning, I was working totally blind', Bjarki explains. 'Imean how can you possibly know what sort of modern music and sounds Icelandic sheep
would go for' But Bjarki persevered and he found certain sounds and tones made the sheep more active and engaged.
From this point, he began to make tracks that would encapsulate what the lambs were drawn to the most. 'A track like Soda 'Sugarlicious' for example, came about when I started
playing Candy Crush on the hillside. As I kept playing, the sheep began to gather around me showing interest in the bright chintzy sounds coming from my laptop and that deep voice that
would keep speaking to you. I simply put together a track that was all shiny colours and heavy on the chimes. The sheep fucking loved it!' A track like 'Drab' meanwhile was suited
for less sunny moments. 'I got caught in a nasty rainstorm, so I started playing these synth lines I had made, along with an improvised kick drum. The mix of the softness of the tones
along with the hit of the bass cased the sheep to follow me all the way back to the farm I was staying at. The farmer wasn't too impressed with that, but the flock was completely
hypnotized'. In the end Bjarki, amassed several tracks ranging from soft ambient to gnarly hardcore bangers to present to the Ministry. But in the end, they decided not to go with the whole
proposal. 'These people were fools', Bjarki says. 'They just couldn't get their heads around doing something completely different, that was a bit of fun yes, but was completely done in a
serious manner. We all spent weeks doing this stuff so yeah, it was a bit gutting'. In the end though, there is a silver lining to this story as these efforts were not wasted for we can now hear the best of Bjarki's efforts from this admittedly weird project on a limited 12'release that marks a storming 2017 for the bbbbbb label.

Cut A. Kaos has been in the music and DJ business since many years. Last summer, he actively returned into Techno with the purpose to create a new album. In other words, he targeted a genuine Techno album containing two parts. The first one is a retrospective view to the origins of Techno, consequently deep tech is accompanied by clear acid structures, exhibited by artists such as "The Martian", "Beltram" or the old Umek stuff. Although many styles are aggregated, they are all pure Techno. Niereich, Austria's number one Techno Artist, contributed a brilliant remix of "Because It's Acid"! Another artist, Edelstahl, produced a remix of "Walk And Talk', which resulted in a hard and fat monster!

Little is known about Konstantin Tschechow, the first and last time we met was around the turn of the millennium in the small city of Koenigsbrueck in the far east of Germany. It was during one of my regular night strolls through the countryside, when I ran into him accidentally. He was standing there in the middle of nowhere leaning on the fence of a train yard where he was, as he said "recording silence". I found that very interesting and we got to talk to each other. After a long conversation about everybody and his dog we found out that we were both Grandsons of Afrika Bambaataa. We planned to hang out more often so we exchanged phone numbers and he gave me a CDR with some of his recordings before he disappeared. A couple of weeks later I called him up to ask if we could meet, but he told me that he had to leave the country because the local authorities found out that he illegally immigrated from Aldebaran. Before I could say "to hell with this fascist state!!!" the connection was interrupted. I tried to call again, but he must have dumped his phone to make sure nobody could track him down. That was the last time I ever heard from him. A few years ago, there were rumors of him being the sound man for reincarnated John Lennon on various tours around Galaxy Mt23, unfortunately I could never afford tickets to find out. One lucky day in 2015 I found the CDR that he gave me on our first and only meeting ever. I discovered 5 tracks and instructions to release them in the year 2016 during a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. You can now own these rare sonic documents pressed on 12" vinyl record. (If you read this Konstantin, get in touch!)

A CELEBRATION OF 5 YEARS INDIGO ÆRA"

Over the course of the past five years, Amsterdam based label Indigo Aera has evolved in to one of the most trustworthy and respected contemporary Detroit techno labels around.

Apart from new music that's mostly analog based and highly energetic, head honchos Maarten Mittendorff en Jasper Wolff decent to the vaults of early day, soul-searching techno regularly, digging up forgotten gems to re-issue them with modern quality standards. Esteemed artists like Stephen Brown, Skudge, Steve Rachmad, Antigone, Louis Haiman and Kirk DeGiorgio all contributed to Indigo Aera, and there's more to come.

The Lost Archives Special consists of unreleased tracks from absolute legends, to music that has never been released in a physical form before, to fresh compositions of techno's most talented contemporary artists

After two really well received releases by Lockyear and Aggborough it's up to One Track Brain to deliver the 8th installment on his own OTB records. The music evokes a strong imagery using unusual melodies, organic sound sources and the relentless support of hypnotic grooves.

A1 Private Sky: Inspired by the artist Calder. The eerie sounds (derived from samples of oil vessels) inventively evoke his delicate moving sculptures, while the industrial groove mimics the artist at work in his atelier. The narrative follows a small boy wandering about and investigating, discovering the artist he would become.

A2 Temple: This track sucks you in like quicksand. The air is hot and trembling, the mood is brooding. Unexpectedly the chords come upon you like a thick mist. The world goes out of focus. A moment of self contemplation, your mind is a temple, your thoughts wander.

B1 Hoo Too: This track is structured around a heavily effected 'whistle solo' recorded one sunny day at the sea side and sounds like the rain forest after a heavy rainfall. One by one the elements of the jungle come out. Life is everywhere for the ones who open their eyes. The sun orchestrates this magnificent theatre.

B2 Charm: The lead for Charm was again made by whistling and deep sound processing. This time we're listening to a party going on in the microcosmos. Tiny creatures are dancing with subtle and fast movements. The world is on time lapse and turns on differents speeds. We are led to the altar of this strange world and are glad to be accepted to this charming kingdom of kindness.

Etruria Beats prodigy Dast is back with a four tracker ep named HARADON The main title starts with an energic modular sound arpeggiated joined by a magic groove . The remix of Kevin De Vries, confirms his sound, stated with "Eternity" released on Drumcode. The second original track IXOR is a maximum expression of the roland 909 and "POWER HOUSE MELODY". PIG & DAN remix is characterized by a voice that makes the track super hypnotic and explosive

Novo Line reprises the meter-messing genius of his Movements album with the Dyad mini LP - a brilliantly uncompromising follow-up for Ecstatic. Exclusively using the tools of '88/'89 professional recording set-ups - namely the Atari ST, but with a slight algorithmic alteration.
While it's increasingly hard to find new tricks in old gear, especially with the resurgence of hardware fetishism and the ubiquity of DAWs, that's exactly what Nat Fowler has been doing for the best part of a decade as Novo Line. By, in his own words, 'misusing one algorithmic composition program (not, by a longshot, a professional music production tool of any epoch) contained in 208kb of data on a 3.5' floppy disk',
He generates and explores new permutations of old music which, ironically enough, sound fresher or at least more innovative than a lot of new music in circulation right now.
Inputting ever-changing parameters of melody, and 29 year old algorithms, the machine's voice is live-mixed and presented un-rendered as maxed-out waveforms via 1MB RAM, resulting in a severely compressed and combusting effect that leave mastering and sound engineers the world over scratching their heads in puzzlement. However, the effect is equally enthralling to anyone whose ears have become overly accustomed to contemporary emulations of 'space' in electronic music, and genuinely sound unique in relief of the contemporary field.
The release poses a playful question: can a record be ambivalent as to which speed it should be played
Celebrating vinyl and futhermore physical media, the listener is encouraged to find their exact speed of preference with the RPM toggle and pitch slider, that nearly forgotten joy in modifying speed in real time without a CPU mediating between the listener and sound; some tracks stumble heavily at 33rpm like boulders in the tumble dry, while others flash by at 45. In the taut, recoiling thud of Monad, thru the frenetic pop edit of Ennead to the 'floor-curdling prong of Dyad Marcia on the front, to the forceful New Beat mutation Tetrad, and the mind bending Melpomenean Dyad which closes the LP, its some heavily challenging but deeply satisfying gear that seriously yet playfully messes with convention.
Essentially Novo Line is revelling in the pure spirit of computer music and the sonification of dance music as we know it - born in the '88/'89 phenomenon of techno-house music, including its Industrial/EBM precedents, and its New Beat/Euro House offshoots. And like John McCusker's delectable artwork of a beige room and monitors interwoven with tubular, computer generated follies, Novo Line provides a captivating perspective that shortcircuits nostalgia's illness to result in a killer vaccine against/for convention.

Next up on Asking for Trouble after selling out the album and re-pressing comes a four track remix EP for Radioactive Man's Luxury Sky Garden album.

Life-time friend of Radioactive Man and Control Tower partner Dexorcist aka Simon Brown is first up to deliver his take on 'Sonic Portal' on the A side. His style has always been uncompromising and as a music lover and DJ he's been a major influence on Tenniswood's style and taste for a long time. Dexorcist turns in a Detroit influenced banger which goes deep.

Ben Pest then follows with his own take of the same track. A member of funk band Pest, purveyor of Wonky Techno, music tech teacher and hardware enthusiast Ben has also released on Jerome Hill's Don't' Label, I Love Acid and Horror Boogie to name a few. His take on 'Sonic Portal' is as genre bending and weighted as you'd expect.

Over on the B side Pain Struck Stanley Dumb remix 'Blast Furnace' - a fast and furious electro track which was released as a digital bonus to the album. They work it into a breakneck speed techno number. Taste the amphetamine!

Completing the package Biggabush (aka Glyn Bush) brings his dub influence to the mix. Bush of Rockers Hi-Fi connected with Radioactive Man during a mastering session asking to do the mix after hearing the record. The results are impressive and provide a welcome tempo and vibe change to the EP with its deep and dubby elements.

Listening to Unknown Path's Pathfinder for the first time is a claustrophobic experience. It's as if the tracks had been recorded to tape and left to decompose for 10 or so years, then dug up and re-recorded. A thick layer of grunge and an overall murky feel sets the tone for Path 0.1 and continues throughout the EP. Paths 0.2 and 0.3 add a more upbeat feel to proceedings, as the beats get scattered around like they were in a pinball machine. Path 0.4 finishes off the experience by bringing the tempo back down, while all the time keeping the uneasy atmospherics that make this EP a unique and rewarding listen.

Berlin based Arttu has been dropping his dusty fat beats across numerous techno labels including Philpot, Clone and 4Lux for a few years but it was 2016's track 'Hoodies' on Arttu's own imprint Cyblo that caught the attention of Accidental label boss Matthew Herbert (and which remains firmly in Herbert's record bag). Arttu was invited onto the Accidental Jnr roster and has delivered a chunk of techno with so much swing it made Donkey Kong blush.

Arttu takes the most simple of jazz bass hooks and loops across a rigid kick, it's when those hats kick in that the groove goes fucking wild. The presence of US native Roberto Q Ingram on vocals brings a full Detroit gangster flavour to the party. Initially Arttu and Roberto had an idea to record a simple and sweaty track with Roberto on the mic and Arttu at the control of some dusty old machines. The result, 'Bass Trakk' is exactly that: Roberto dropping lyrics over a raw beat and a massive bassline. The EP is rounded off with a deep bit of techno 'Debris' with all the trappings of the darkest hour of a Berlin winter in which it was recorded.

After remixes for Mark Broom on his label Beard Man, for S-File and Ben Long's record on Decoy, we are proud to present the brand new Single from Turbo Turbo. 2 excellent Techno tunes that blow the dance floors all over the world away. The two German brothers Bernd and Manfred hit with their Techno Sound the current nerve of the club scene. We hope that you are as much excited as we are about this new Release from Turbo Turbo. Informa Experiments Volume 2 continues with the same concept as the last, 4 artists submit a bank of sounds and from these sounds each artist composes a track. A simple idea that proves very effective.

INFORMA004 is by friends of the label Ness (Prologue, Synewave) and Rasmus Hedlund (Resopal Schallware, Mono Records) who have collaborated to make two extraordinary tracks for us. Punto Kokous and Verso Pohjois which have a mixed Italian and Finnish translation of Meeting Point and Direction North. Both tracks are focused on deep atmospheric techno, with dark haunting atmospheres. everything Informa Records stands for. Their concept for the release was simply to exchange sounds and influence with each other and in doing so they created something very special. Also on the release we have a momentous remix from Edit Select (Electric Deluxe, Stroboscopic Artefacts) And a deep brooding remix by label boss Deepbass.

Half Baked resident Greg Brockmann teams up with good friend Odd Soul under the moniker OddMann to present their first release on Half Baked Records. Bringing three tracks of dark, driving but groovy minimal techno, the boys are bringing a new flavour to the Half Baked label. These two have really been working hard in the studio and that is evident across the release as they provide something for those dimly lit dancefloors with big sound. This is some serious heads-down trippy music to lose yourself within!

Yan Cook makes a stong impression with his debute EP on Dynamic Reflection. 'Melter' EP includes three mesmerizing originals and an outstanding Philippe Petit remix on top.

Yan Cook shedding his 'upcoming' status more and more and turning himself into an artist which is here to stay. This EP has already did some serious damage on the floors, as expected.

For Kontra-Musik White Label's 10th release we give you none other than Nuel. The Italian producer is closely connected to the Aquaplano label run by Donato Dozzy - a natural source of collaboration as they speak the same language, not least in the musical sense. Nuel has perfected this dreamlike and seductive speech and it was irresistible for Kontra-Musik. On the surface Nuel's tracks might seem abstract and mathematical, but there's really an abundance of movement and groove in his music. Mechanical yet sensual, there's subtle erotic current running through the whole release: It's like a Marvin Gaye record for robots that just want to get it on.

New York's P. Leone is next up on Spencer Parker's Work Them Records bringing a trio of hard-hitting cosmic cuts.

Born and raised in South Brooklyn, P. Leone cut his teeth DJing during a short stint in Tokyo as well as his home of New York before dedicating himself to the studio.

The Desecration Of Desire is the first album in 14 years from Techno heavyweight Dave Clarke. The follow up to his acclaimed 2013 album 'Devils Advocate' the new album is a dark, ruthless journey including features by Mark Lanegan, Mt. Sims, Gazelle Twin, Anika and Louisahhh and reinforces his title as the Baron of Techno, a moniker given him by the late, great BBC Radio DJ John Peel.

Astral Dust is a 4 song excursion bridging the styles of Derek Michael and Marshall Applewhite. This project stems from a live recording of a set performed by Michael in 2002. After being tucked away for almost 15 years, the recording was found and sent to Applewhite who dissected the performance into fragments and breathed a new life into them. While some portions of this release are distinctly sludgy, the majority is a perfect amalgamation of both Michaels and Applewhites hard-edge, melodic borderline IDM styles. The digital release will feature 2 digital only sub cuts from the sessions.

Amsterdam based label Indigo aera is branching out with a new sub-label after establishing itself over the last six years. The label will now launch a new chapter called ÆX. It will put out hand stamped, various artist EPs from a mixture of befriended artists.
The main focus for ÆX is to create a place for exploration and experimentation in the genre of analogue classic sounding techno music. Every release is done by various artists and pressed in one limited run of 200 copies

Berlin based but hailing from South America, LPZ offers up his latest production to the Hong Kong based label Fragrant Harbour. Synths have a life of their own as they whip and snap about and bring a post apocalyptic sense of foreboding. The use of modular synths lends the whole thing an unpredictable and analogue feel that makes is bristle and brim with life throughout. Part 2 focuses on more suspensory ambient sounds. It means tracks zone you out and get you thinking, with distant melodies drifting next to warm solar winds. When drums do appear they are deep down below and dubbed out affairs that unfold slowly. A album that keeps you locked from start till end!

Entitas, is the second instalment of Jay Clarke's BLACKAXON imprint, and sees the label boss bring out the big guns in the form of three distinct and diverse cuts. First up is Entity, an autonomic monster which has sweat soaked energy written all over it. It's auspiciously one part deep, and more than double just as twisted. Things are far from linear with Entity, it's mercilessly the sum of it's own parts, and has the hallmarks of a true big room pleaser written all over it. A truly authentic demonstration of the old adage 'It's not where you are going, it's how you get there'. Entity is certain to be reached for by all of the major players on the Techno circuit for a long time to come.
On the flip, Ghosts Of Acid is the Yin to Entity's Yang. A plangent and introspective groove opens up with wispy cymbals, cleverly placed rims, hats and claps. Exploratory and evolving subaqueous acidic forays dare the listener to dive in a little deeper, with the reward being a very proficient and efficient take on the now classic Acid sound.

Existence Through Perception seeks to carry on where the previous two tracks left off. A driving groove and sinister hook lets up briefly midway to a near triumphant fanfare, only to be brought back to it's mischievous overture. A perfect late night/peak time track for DJ's looking to elevate the bar of their set just one more rung higher.

Delsin Records' Inertia series is back with a powerful four tracker from Yan Cook. The producer from Ukraine has also released Delsin's main label and associated Ann Aimee, as well as Planet Rhythm and Cooked. He makes straight up techno that arrests your attention and does just that again here. 'Toucan' is first and is a spangled, underwater techno track with gurgling lines wrapping round shuffling percussion and insistent drums. It's one to get into your head, while 'Puffin' is more physical, with more warped synths and paddy drums woven together into a fluid, rippling groove that never lets up. The drums on 'Dialogue' are deep and land with real resonance while dubby chords rattling out to the horizon. Last of all 'Flamingo' is the most manic of the lot, with hi speed synths and booming drums all coming together to make for powerful, sub shaking and room filling techno madness.

Despite his low profile, Ken Karter might be one of Berlin's most influential artists in the techno scene. Karter is known as a mastering engineer for the seminal M_REC LTD, however his own productions have gone largely unnoticed until his 2015 EP on Stroboscopic Artefact's Monad series. His EP turned heads and gained him well-deserved attention. Two years later, his follow-up EP on Escapism exemplifies his focus on quality over quantity. His passion for mathematical formulas combined with his intricate knowledge of sound created an outstanding record set to satisfy both fans of experimental and dancefloor techno.

MACHINE JAZZ brings you the dystopian sci-fi duo SEER (alter ego and collaboration of M. Parent and Maroje T.)! Aaron Noseday is the alias of Thomas Collard, a Belgian Acid fiend whose own label Lord Cal specialises in unpredictable 303 experimentation, equal parts Mike Dred and SUF. The six tracks on this latest EP collude to create a formidable statement of intent.
A bruising, atonal six-minute 303 workout, A1 kicks us off by shearing away Acid Techno's latent funk and repositioning the TB as a weapon of brute force, teaming it with thundering, tribal drums. One Interlude later, the second proper track A2 unleashes rubbery gabba drums which underpin pretty keys and all manner of maelstrom-like noise. Somebody belches and again that stentorian drum starts up for the set's longest and most idiosyncratic track, B. You wouldn't call it a beat - it's a pounding, and around it orbit all manner of queasy disorientating noises. Fans of Rephlex, Planet Mu, or hard uncompromising Acid, you might just want to check this out.

The Soul Notes imprint has never restricted itself to just one sound. Ever since it emerged in late 2011, the Basque County based outfit has shown several sides of it's identity and has developed into a diverse and well balanced home. One of the label's usual suspects is Cologne native, Adryiano. After reaping some havoc with his efforts on the SNX series early last year, Adryiano has been crafting his ''Down South EP'' (ironically) somewhere in the North Rhine- Westphalian Concrete Jungle.The Down South EP is buldging with deep sine basses, fine rhythmic synthwork and lavish but hefty beats. The title track showcases these exact things best. The essence of Adryiano's latest effort is still somewhat hard to pin down. A lot of different moods are going on throughout the EP while the overall sounds maintains it's own glance. From the deep machinefunk on Down South to the broken beats of Feel What You do. All of these bits have a nice

A bastion of magnetic style and mixing board finesse, Honey Dijon continues to exceed her bounds, pushing through from the underground of New York to become a cultural, global star. Her Classic follow-up to 'Houze' with Seven David Jnr, the provocative 'Personal Slave' is unapologetic, hedonist and achingly cool.
Honey has teamed up with Charles Duff aka Charles McCloud, who lends his seductively sulky tones for the vocal on the record. "Switcheroo" by Diom celebrates reduction. Hypnotic chimes and subtle
changes echo the compositions of musicians like Steve Reich and other
representatives of the minimal music scene.

Elektrax Recordings delivers first part of it's brand new vinyl series titled 'Elektrax Techno 1'. This four-track Various Artist sampler is a collection of driving, hard-edged, underground techno sounds, with exclusive material from Europe's finest A.Paul, Niereich, AnGy KoRe, and Andreas Florin.

The sixth release on Deep'a & Biri's Black Crow label welcomes another new name into the fold: Nico Campanella has been quietly building a stellar reputations for himself over the past few years, working under a variety of aliases to explore a sound that much like Deep'a & Biri draws deeply from techno's Detroit heritage as well as the propulsive dub techno of Basic Channel. With releases for several high quality under-the-radar European techno labels, including Construct Re-form, CLFT, Monnom Black and his own label Subosc, Campanelli's Kaelan and 2030 projects in particular have won him some ardent admirers & plenty of tips as a talent to keep an eye on. It's as 2030 that he joins Black Crow, for the Timeworm EP, which is completed by remixes from FXHE's Luke Hess and the label's Tel Aviv-based founders. The EP's original track are a pair of lushly-produced classic Detroit-influenced excursions, redolent of the cascading ambient textures and string melodies found within the work of the city's first wave pioneers. A1 cut 'In aeternum' could easily be mistaken for a lost early 90s classic in the best possible sense, while the title track also draws on a similarly timeless quality. With the original track ensuring the EP package will win other home listeners, it's the remixers who shape them for the dancefloor. Luke Hess's 'In aeturnum' remix is powerful dancefloor workout that retains a softer edge, recalling the producer's recent collaboration with OB Ignitt. On the B side, Deep'a & Biri offer two of their own interpretations of the title track, pulling the track across the dub techno galaxy with their trademark dexterity. Completing a truly exceptional package is beautiful hand drawn artwork by Israeli artist Avraham Guy Barchil.

The first track on the A-side has support from Laurent Garnier and is one of the finest acid techno tracks on this moment. Ep number four of this series of eight remastered tracks with remix-tributes to the techno legend Christian Morgenstern is here, and kicks off with D_func's remix of Steigreider on side A. Creating a warm grayscale atmosphere, the track is carried by a heavy sub kick groove that's saturated with the modern industrial energy that proves Kowalski's skills as a techno craftsman. As a contrast, Jeroen Search's remix of Aces High on B1 is a more minimal interpretation, carried by a slowly developing beat and playing skillfully with the most recognisable elements of the original. The final track, a remastered version of Morgenstern's Lydia To The Edge Of Panic is a timeless classic, painting a Morgenstern-typical distant and dream like landscape and opening up into a widescreen chord progression, with an epic build up.

Mancunian newcomer LOFT lands on Wisdom Teeth with a stunning set of dramatic, dynamic and cinematic club cuts. LOFT debuted on Astral Plane Recordings last year with the 'RA Recommended' Turbulent Dynamics EP, which featured five stylistically varied slices of experimental, sui generis club music. The EP's centre point, 'Heffalump', stood out in particular. Across 7 minutes the track rises and falls, its rhythms and melodies constantly shifting and changing, building to a fanfare coda of trance stabs and tumbling breaks. WSDM007 secures LOFT's place in that special class of artists - think Objekt, Bruce, A Made Up Sound - capable of creating impeccable, challenging dance music that is at once cerebral and unfalteringly functional. In recent years Moiré has become an integral figure in re-imagining club music. The enigmatic artist has travelled a note-perfect path and in just a few years has collaborated with fundamental record labels such as R&S, Werk Discs and Rush Hour. The four track EP is comprised of unreleased material designed for the dance floor and provides continuity to his much prized Neversleep series. Club Excursionista de l'Electrònica (C.E.E.) is a moral, spiritual and cultural entity founded in 1875 in Vall de Camprodon. C.E.E. includes thousands of anonymous members who are organized into subdivisions and enjoy Sunday excursions into nature to end the weekend, where the joys of nightlife give way to clean air and mountain pursuits. C.E.E. can be described as "electronica folklorists", with a select catalogue of sounds from across the continent and beyond that represent an ethnographical journey through the most modern treatments of songs and popular dances practiced in clubs and tents all over the region.

If Psychic Health's self-titled debut album took the lessons the LA duo learned in the teeming clubs of Berlin and Melbourne, their latest LP, Exclusion, look inward, a document of the duo tunneling down the studio wormhole. As such, Exclusion is a remarkably dynamic effort, adeptly jumping between evocative ambience ("Jamaica 88," "Ryso") and equally expansive dance floor fair.
Examples of the latter, such as the album's obvious centerpiece and titular track, Exclusion, document Gabriel Mounsey and Devon Steffens's harnessing modular beast technology for peak techno utility, finding a clear thoroughfare between the soaring strings of Derrick May's classic Transmat releases and Ostgut Ton's current EBM-inflected precision.
As you'd expect from Mounsey's background in film composition, Exclusion whirls with imagery. It's a Los Angeles album, but focuses on raw beauty of the city at night—the lights in the distance, and the desolate downtown streets where kickdrums often waft from disused warehouses. NYC experimentalists Sheik N Beik add to a series of successful parties in the capital as well as an extolled slew of 12's from the likes of Legowelt & Xosar as Xamiga and Jeffrey Scott with another weird and wonderful record courtesy of Sheik N Beik founder Julio operating under a new guise: Rechulski.

Also hailing from NYC and a regular at the collective's parties - Rechulski offers up a celestial 3 track EP as his debut and in doing so offers up an insight into a left-of-centre approach to production that lends him perfectly to a record with Sheik 'N' Beik.

'Jürgens' is an excersise in tense, burning Techno and kicks the EP off with powerful analogue drums rattling against cold, distant pads. Clever sequencing has the track snowballing throughout as subtle tones and shimmering percussive elements are added before Müller drives a stout kick drum under tumbling, phased melodies that are interweaved to form a formiddable wall of sound.

Rüdiger then renders a chilly lunar landscape as it suffuses gentle flickering textures with wide spread synth sweeps. A cyclical sequence gently bleeds into focus alongside sharp electronic pulses that round off a rich and varied release and another solid addition to the Sheik 'N' Beik series and an exciting insight into an auspicious new producer.

One bloody Subhead style techno side and one big Hardcore /tribe mid-tempo old school banger... well both sides are fat on the compo and fat on the sound... Dancefloor pagan system !

After a lengthy hiatus, Tuskegee Music is back with a heavyweight release indeed: it features tracks written by Detroit heavyweights Seth Troxler—under his Young Seth alias— and cult FXHE boss Omar S. Amazingly they were written 11 years ago and have been long forgotten until recently being unearthed.
The first track here was inspired by a trip Seth made to Berlin's Club Der Visionaere in 2005. 'It basically was me returning to Detroit and telling Omar about this crazy music I heard Ricardo play during the day.' The result, 'Deep'(CDV 2006 Mix), is a spine tingling atmospheric deep house track. The drums are lo-fi and loose, the bassline is a meandering thing that really sucks you in and soft, gentle toms tumble around the groove and encourage you to cut loose.
Then comes the experimental slow motion drum shuffle of 'Detroit After Midnight' which the pair made after 'finding loads of weird records in his basement sampling them and making a classic MPC Detroit cut.' It has the sounds of people talking as if coming from the room next door laid over a lazy and undulating bassline, and is brilliantly weird and sketchy.
Last of all, Young Seth goes solo on 'Luiza's Inferno' five minutes of him jamming on Omar's MS20 with a warbling synth line coated in warm tape hiss and layers of dust. It's a beatless piece that shows how inventive and ahead of his time Troxler was even as a young man.
This is a brilliantly unusual EP and another winner for Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers' Tuskegee label.

producer Xixa delivers the second Abstract Places Audio
release. Balance is a three-track EP where the co-founder
of the label packs a solid techno sound drowned in complex
and evolving atmospheres. As first label s release (Clip -
Gebre, 2016), this is not a 100% club record, we can hear
ambient and IDM influences, but A1 and B1 are perfect
tracks to keep a techno set full of rhythm and tension, and
will get its place on any DJ record bag. A1 Balance is built
around a distorted but controlled techno beat. Patiently, a
wide palette of drones and other-worldly artefacts are
growing next to carefully crafted percussive sounds. 1984
opens the B side of the 12 , with a 4 to the floor overdriven
bass drum and a reverse reverb announcing its main synth
sequence, accompanied by organic hi-hats and clap sounds.
A collection of ethereal drones and noises is also used,
giving the track a sense of cohesion and gluing its different
parts. Life Inside A Snow Ball is Xixa s personal take on
ambient. Some of the drones and artefacts from A1 are now
mixed with new quasi- harmonic emotional textures and
subtle noises emerging from a deep unknown space and
forming a complete new sonic experience. Balance EP is a
very solid second release by Abstract Places Audio that
confirms the label sound and philosophy.
