Max came to my place with Buchla and we spent a week in the studio, back in 2013 or 2014.
It was all improvised, just recording tons of stuff. I then afterwards went through the recordings and did some editing, selecting suitable parts etc. And then produced the material. I released two EPs on my own label also back in 2014 i think.
Now i went through the archives and chose unreleased tracks, produced and mixed them in 2020.
It's my kind of techno... fast and wild.

Their eponymous debut album was released on April 20, 2009. Perhaps the secret of Modeselektor's and Apparat's collaboration lies in the fact that they never even tried to get close to one another. Modeselektor's thundering bass rumbles in the cellar, Apparat's sensitive and subtle melodies float high in the eaves. The fact that what one assumes to be incompatible actually communicates, is what makes Moderat so unique.
Moderat is not just a studio project: with a set of visuals created for these concerts by Pfadfinderei, they toured all five continents and will do again immediately after the release of the new album.
4 years after the debut album Modeselektor and Apparat have come together once again: more mature, but not worldly-wise, wiser but not unquestioning, more experienced but without having sacrificed any of their pioneer spirit.

Bestial Mouth's creations in the last two years, the INSHROUDSS EP and the RESURRECTEDINBLACK LP, are the phoenix cries of the project's rebirth under the guiding hand of vocalist Lynette Cerezo, melding noise and darkwave pop into a theatre of skin-shredding catharsis that brings the project’s post-punk roots to new levels of club-ready destruction—equal parts intensity and accessibility.
THOUSANDNEEDLES pierces that veil with warped reimaginings of both releases, from a diverse selection of artists in the dark underground. Each brings their own unique twist, whether it's to a dance ritual of pounding EBM and industrialized techno, fog-shrouded darkwave dives, cosmic washes of synthpop bliss, or soul-smashing noise dredged from a sewer cathedral. Dance through the pain, and make new paths of your scars.

Four tracks from pure personal expression. ‘A’ face begins with an “Intromorfosis”, an intro with a smooth decay to focus the listener to whats coming next. Brings feelings and expression from the artists, rebelliousness and political reasoning. From the latin word ‘morfosis’, you can be aware of the current social situation of regressive changes. Second track, ‘Druida’, total body music, techno driven to break beats, together with metal synths and pads.
On the other hand, on ‘B’ face, the artist brings out cruelty and darkness side from Nodrize’s spaceship, how i define the musical journey in the career of our artists, that also gives name to his Label.
‘Destined to Extinction’, distortion, metal, synthes out of tone, keeping the power during the whole track, exalting the break rhythmic drums to result in an excellent piece for the dance floor. As last, the garden’s monster from Irrational Language, it shows a soundscape with different passages, that split the animal side and the acid line to end together in a brutal end.
An Ep that defines the sound from Structured for this first release, and that will definitely work on different dance floors around the world.

Ever since his early teenager days Kareem El Morr has been working on tracks in the studio. Techno was and has always been the basis. Dirty, raw and in a positive way escalating are his sets, which he has been playing since the mid of the noughties. Not being limited when playing in the clubs or producing in the studio makes him undisputedly one of the most versatile artists in Munich. How multi-faceted he is, is now being shown on his latest RFR release.
“Supersonic” throws the gate open wide to electroid sceneries. Not a few will be reminded of I-F’s “Playstation” by the first sounds of the decently wobbeling bassline. Sick bassline variations, breaky drum parts and a pinch of Neo-Goa – any questions? „Quake“ portrays Morr’s infinite and unconditional love to Techno. Reminiscences of Detroit’s High Tech Jazz are floating relentlessly through widely varied rooms, which we absolutely adore since the Basic Channel era.
On the flip Morr expands his driving functionality by a melodic component. “Blaze” kicks in with a lot of delay, distorted bells and Highspeed drums. This ain’t no dance, this is a ceremony! „Trance with Benefits“ marks the ending of the “Supersonic EP”. Pictures of wafts of mist, whose intensity is being ruptured by the first rays of sunlight penetrating the club on an early Sunday morning. Happy people lying in each other’s arms, unified by the principle that Techno would be nothing without Trance.
Etruria Beat boss Luca Agnelli returns to the label as he unveils four fresh originals in the form of ‘Dangerous’. A leading name within Italy’s techno landscape and beyond, DJ, producer and label owner Luca Agnelli’s musical journey continues to surge with releases and remixes via the likes of Drumcode, Soma and his own Etruria Beat imprint.
Having played a series of stand-out shows to close the year including Universe82 festival (Valencia), Duel (Naples), Die Rakete (Nuremberg) and Steam (Athens), not to mention a breathtaking performance from the top of Torre Del Cassero in his home region of Tuscany, early 2020 sees a welcome return to home turf as the Etruria Beat boss steps out to reveal his latest EP ‘Dangerous’, comprised of four commanding productions.
Title track ‘Dangerous’ unveils a high-octane ride through escalating synths, resounding kicks and menacing low- end tones, whilst ‘High Gravity’ utilises further infectious lead line work and slick, metallic drum licks. Next, ‘End Of Time’ sees the introduction of soaring melodies alongside off-kilter sonics and tripped-out vocal snippets, before closing proceedings with ‘Acidulous’, a driving acid-led effort that snakes through both tough and more melodic territories in impressive fashion.
Marcos Cabral returns to L.I.E.S. with a new six track mini lp after a run of cult releases for The Trilogy Tapes as Chemotex. Here we get Cabral in top form falling somewhere in-between his last works for L.I.E.S. and Chemotex tracks. Through the record we get a rough yet refined style moving from metallic gnarled electro to melodic IDM and/or destructive the electronics as heard on "Secret Air". Our favorite being the introspective closer "Wearing Petrichor" Cover photo licensed from legendary NYC street photographer, Richard Sandler.
The Italian producer and founder of the Berlin-based label "Sonic Interface Records" has long been influenced by many subgenres of dance music; from electro to techno-acid music before combining them in his pioneering first ep . "Sonic001'' which sees Michael Space gravitating towards a different kind of electronic music, driven as much (or more) by analog sequencers, marked vocals, melodies and experimental sounds between space bass lines and acid sounds of the most common bassline 303 synthesizer, as by drums and percussion.
Beyond the ego EP001 guides the listener through a hypnotic terrain: the four tracks fully represent the different phases of an ideal dj set.
This broad approach translates into sounds that are difficult to define, and that lend themselves to multiple listeners.
A futuristic Techno that can surprise you with sound sensations never heard before!!

French producer Najem Sworb re-joins Wolfskuil Records with ‘Pergelisol’ featuring remixes from Darko Esser and Doka’s collaborative project, The Leap.
Najem Sworb is an intriguing artist who’s been putting together absorbing techno productions for over ten years now which includes outings on labels such as Days Of Being Wild, Technorama, Clone Basement Series and Wolfskuil Records. ‘Pergelisol’ sees Najem return to Darko Esser’s exceptional Wolfskuil imprint following recent releases from Border One, Architectural, Physical Therapy, Ambivalent and Cadans and features remixes The Leap – a new live project from Dutch producers Darko Esser and Doka.
‘Sorl’ begins with rattling percussion enticing you from the start fused with angelic melodies and undulating euphoria while ‘Egilep’ taps into more of a heads-down kind of vibe featuring tough, modulated drums, robust synth shatters and pulsating bass stabs.
On the flip, The Leap offer up a remix of ‘Egilep’ which blends haunting undertones, airy pads and vibrant rhythms that shimmer throughout before their remix of ‘Sorl’ rounds off proceedings with wavering bleeps, clattering 909s claps and dreamy ambience in the distance allowing for a evocative atmosphere to finish.
Dj Tool Techno W/ Raw And Industrial Warehouse Vibes.
After being summoned from Ohio to London by Adrian Sherwood, Nick Riggio and Rebecca Magnetic have brought their Midwest musical experience to the South London electronic music scene with a unique creative vision. Fusing elements of techno, post-punk and psychedelic rock they explore spiritual connections and transcendence while Rebecca Magnetic's introspective vocals set against a tough backdrop of Detroit influenced rhythms and vibrations leave you in awe.
Their superb single 'My Future' is a brilliantly cosmic exploration of spaced out and spacious grooves. Crashing hits bring an edgy mood, while lurching drums drag you forwards.
Molten acid synths and the strained and pained vocals from Rebecca add further layers of intrigue to this most adventurous electronic trip.
First to remix is Oosh! man Dan Wainwright, and his version is laced up with sci-fi chords and echoing vocal sounds. The downtempo drum rotations are superbly heavy and trap you in a trance.
Next up, Retroforward is Al Mackenzie's solo remix/music project named after his successful Birmingham night.
Al is one half of Field Of Dreams. His 'No Future' remix is an airy and atmospheric remix that takes the track to the farthest edges of space on smooth, hypnotic grooves and beautifully astral melodies.
Lastly, Richard Sen has already been getting support for his remix from ALFOS man Sean Johnston, and he goes for a superbly rugged yet slow motion chugger that is dubbed out and expansive thanks to the arching guitar riffs that ring out to the heavens above fat-bottomed drums.
Whether experienced on the dance floor or in metaphysical states, this music is medicine for the mind and body.
Remixes
So... Here we have one of the most hightly awaited EPs of the year. Since the transcendence "Imprint Of Pleasure" took being the most sold track on Beatport from 2013 and definetely one of the tracks of the year, we cannot miss the chance to release a remix pack. And then, the big question: ¿Which artists should remix this track.
After many discussions, we concluded that we needed four totally different point of views for such an amazing cut.
That's why we choose: Monkey Safari, Adam Beyer, Rodriguez Jr. and of course our mastercat Coyu. Each artist gives a totally and unique point of view. Now it's your turn to decide who you think did the best job. We can't decide one. We love them all!

Whilst club events and music festivals around the world may have come to a halt, there’s no stopping the undeniable Haŵs party taking place inside this hefty slice of wax. The Haŵs crew once again come correct with their 11th release, and the 3rd edition of their V/A volumes. Their dominant streak waxes anew with zero sign of waning, as they unleash 4 original pearlers into the outside world. Names all too familiar in the scenes they inhabit, Rudolf C, Lisene, DJ Life and Nathan Pinder combine their comprehensive skillsets for your unending pleasure.
Opening celebrations is Rudolf C’s ‘Shotta’, the type of head-nodder, dancefloor fodder that has long been associated with his name. Alien signal-like stabs persist and combine with the crunchy percussion throughout, tripping back and forth in its otherworldly paradigm.
The A2 track is ‘Time 2 Bump’ by Lisene, and if that kick drum doesn’t define ‘bump’ then we need a new sonic dictionary. Elongated acid permeates a sweeping groove, sitting atop a mechanized vocal of malicious design and destructive intent.
Up next is DJ Life with his offering, the galvanic ‘Organo’. Continuing the theme of dancefloor delirium, his track rumbles with unerring force and potency. The party is still going strong under his guidance. You’ve no choice but to latch onto the acid and move your body.
As we hit the early hours, Nathan Pinder closes proceedings with his track ‘Good Times Ahead’. The stuttering vocal and unequivocally euphoric synth hark back to the progressive trance scene of the late 90s, whilst the track’s message simultaneously looks proactively to our immediate future. Pump it loud and dream of the Haŵs parties on the horizon.
Take care and remember, freedom is a state of mind. Music will always be there for you no matter what.

We are very happy to announce the next catalogue number: ://ab007! This time characterised by techno in its different varieties.
Yuka and Blazej Malinowski are regular guests and friends of ://about blank. They both produced warm, atmospherically dense tracks for us. Yuka lets the bass roll properly, while Blazej Malinowski has produced wonderful open-air techno, which will not fail to have an effect in the early morning hours indoors as well.
On the B-side, Milena Glowacka is striking up a bit darker and – nomen est omen – colder tones with her track “Cold Blue”. That may have something to do with the place of residence – Rejkjavik –, where the Polish producer currently lives.
All in all, we have an attractive package of deep, atmospheric techno tracks that will still breathe the spirit of summer in October as well – month of release – and the dancefloor.

Madrid based artist _asstnt returns to his newly formed Opera 2000 label with four pounding techno cuts entitled "Heartless" EP.
_asstnt's sound comes from the heart of a passionate artist conveying romanticism, truth and dedication within his music and philosophy. The DJ and producer from Madrid breaks into the underground scene with an industrial, dirty and melancholic sound that stems from his love for hardstyle or hardcore that was instilled in him from an early age. In 2017 his first track was released on an Involve Records compilation together with the artist Roll Dann before starting the Opera 200 label together in 2020 whose inaugural release saw the light of day in February 2020 and picked up support from the likes of Charlotte de Witte, Matrixxman, Truncate, Fernanda Martins and many more.
"Heartless" begins proceedings with intense, piercing modulations, industrial kicks and robust sonics in this haunting opening cut before "Teenage Romance" offers up entrancing leads underneath blistering soundscapes and acid-soaked, rave inspired synth flutters. On the flip, shrieking oscillations, industrial atmospheres, frightening samples and soul-stirring moods take the focus in "Smells Like Darkroom" whilst "Broken Ties" rounds things off with a 90s trance feel featuring psychedelic, revolving bass notes and fast paced grooves that continue to pulsate throughout the effervescent finisher.

In Post-Heretic Dracula X Chronicles II the Dracula figure functions as a part fictive and part autobiographical metaphor. Dracula mirrors certain systematic (therefore also internal) conditionings and attributes in its whole ambivalent fluctuations. This character represents the complex relationships of a loving/living person in a neo-liberal capitalist system while oscillating between melancholia & rage, facing the preservation or loss of his love and standing in an alienated position towards the ruling order. The eleven featured compositions and their respective song names (both of them are riddled with references) playfully touch on conflicts between love, life and system-critique, without being too upfront about the subject-matter.
Nicola Kazimir (*28.05.1990 in Zürich, Schweiz)
A DJ, producer, musician, artist, space-owner, record label owner and party organizer, Nicola Kazimir works freely across platforms and communities. For Kazimir, these numerous positions are not static, and they can actfluidly and reciprocally as a whole, or as separate entities. His artistic and acoustic productions are mostly based on topics that include the institutionalization of techno, copyright, dividualism and the human perception of repetitive rhythm patterns mixed with aesthetic codes of b-movie horror movies or occultism. He is one of the founders and still part of the labels Les Points/ Gentrified Underground / Infoline and the offspace Mikro Zürich. Other projects include a supporting role in the organization of Zentralwäscherei Zürich and being part of the Clubbüro-team at Rote Fabrik.
For the second outing on their offshoot label, London's Art of Dark crew has handed over the reigns to Uruguayan artist Omar Chibbaro (best known for his outings on CABARET and My Own Jupiter) and Cartulis Music co-owner Unai Trotti. Chibbaro handles side A, first offering up the rubbery bleep techno/Drexciyan electro-funk fusion of "Zum" before slamming down the blackened beats, hypnotizing bleeps and twisted acid lines of "Adheuz". Over on side B, Trotti offers two tasty peak-time workouts: the snappy, bleeping retro-futurism of "Thisorden" and "Pirupipi", where deep space chords and angular electronics cluster around a weighty, forthright groove.

A testament to the growth of Adam Beyer’s scene-leading label, Drumcode annual A-Sides Vol.8 is the brand’s biggest yet.
The 25-track strong compilation, split across 7 EPs, features standout cuts Beyer has received over the last 12 months, but been unable to find room for in Drumcode’s regular release schedule, such is the volume and high standard of music that’s submitted.
Part 2 sees debuts on DC from SAMA, in a terrific collaboration with Secret Cinema, and Raxon following a couple of quality additions to the Truesoul back catalogue. Alongside this Wehbba offers up ‘Mantra’ combining techno classicism with future-focused groove, and Timmo provides another standout track to match his solo releases on the label.
The highlight-rich compilation also includes Jamie Jones & Darius Syrossian’s buzzy Drumcode debut ‘The Grid’, Nicole Moudaber’s first DC release in 5 years with the mesmerizing ‘This Is Us’, Will Clarke’s bass-drenched re-work of Adam Beyer & Bart Skils ‘Your Mind’ and Joey Beltram’s first Drumcode release in 11 years with the retro-tinged ‘Can You Feel It’.
The beloved Alan Fitzpatrick returns to the fold with the searing ‘Heiße Rakete’, while the exciting Hyperloop project links up with Upercent for the slinky loop-driven ‘Rouge’, alongside label mainstay Layton Giordani, who drops the stirring chord-driven ‘Chrome’.
There’s a troupe of debutants donning the Drumcode jersey for the first time, including BEC, Shelley Johansson, Avision, Zimmz, Woo York, SAMA (in a terrific collaboration with Secret Cinema) and Ilija Djokovic, who delivers a shimmering highlight with ‘Aura’, a particular favourite of Beyer’s over the last year.
Exciting young guns Weska and Juliet Fox bring heat to the compilation, while Veerus follows up a strong DC release with a repeat dose. Elsewhere faithful contributors Ramon Tapia, Jay Lumen, Luca Agnelli, Marco Bailey and Mark Reeve craft powerful dancefloor weapons.

Booming and banging, crashing and smashing, wriggling and writhing: the 'Black Snake Whip' cracks and out come the bats. INDEX:005 is a continuum of electrical fields that will psychologically ensnare and physically coerce you. Feel the tension from your ears to your toes; only dance will set you free.
This is a body of music, made for your body. Its Influences have been cultivating in the minds of industrial space enthusiasts and warehouse ravers for years. The sound of peaky synth leads and trebly harsh drums will make you grit your teeth as you succumb to the urge to move.
Take a whiff of this sonic bouquet from Black Snake Whip.
Machine acid trax on the EP titled 'Gone Fishin''.
Getting lost, escaping a life that got you sick and tired, is sometimes necessary.
This EP combines energetic (A1), disorienting (A2), and heavy-hearted (B1) vibes to provide a getaway from
the ordinary, expressing an overall nasty, acidic feel.
Limited edition, black vinyl.
The Estonian master of dubstep and techno Margus Löve, who has operated so far under the monikers L-OW and 1DERL&, has changed his creative direction into curvier areas and is presenting his fresh act Exit Safe Mode as a proof. Cool and ghastly darkness is still hoofing at your heels and ominous concrete thunder brings the skeletal techno to a new fertile ground. Seeming coldness is concealing a hot-blooded pulse and a stealthily transporting psychedely. A dangerously alluring adventure has begun and it's calling for an exit from the numbing comfort zone.

On the hunt for timelessness we travel far and wide and realise only the wisest and stupidest of men never change. Brilliance borders lunacy. Extreme wisdom and extreme stupidity are the same. When u know everything u know nothing. Just as minus infinity reaches plus infinity and forms a circle. Just as extreme right wing and extreme left wing are basically the same but arrived from a different angle. Extremely bad taste becomes good, and extremely good taste is contrived. The truth is in the middle (yes i have come at an age where i can say that) so we have to embrace change to be the only constant. Everything and everyone always changes. So what does it mean “to be timeless”?
A very special thanks to Efdemin.
The story goes like this:
He gave us the strong winds remix. We told him its a bomb. We also said its a little sad maybe perhaps that it contains so little of the original. “Oh let me try something” was his answer. And the very next day we got sent the good winds mix. Of course we asked if we could include both mixes. How could we choose?
Savas Pascalidis releases heavy new EP 'Brain Waves' on Atrophic Society
Savas Pascalidis is an artist who needs little in the way of introduction. Having a career that spans the last 25 years, and releases on a staggering number of great labels (Gigolo Records, Kurbel, Non Series, Mote Evolver, Stockholm LTD, Children of Tommorow, Skudge, Figure and many more), we're proud to welcome Savas to the Atrophic Society family.
Brain Waves sees further exploration of the techno that defines Savas' sound. Savage, grooving and dripping in nuance, all four cuts on this EP will set the night on fire.
Distant Dreams is a tunnelling beast that twists and turns over itself with insistent percussive slaps and grooving bass, underpinning a driving synth line that stacks up to create a furious EP opener.
There were no parts to work from to make a remix with, so in a total class move Echologist drops a cover mix of the B1 track Resonate, though it could be said that it's inspired by all the original tracks on the EP. He strips it back to the bare necessities and propels it forward in true Echologist style.
The original of Resonate is noisey and blustery as the title would suggest, hissing and bleeping over a mid range bassline that tastefully peaks and troughs for the length of the journey. Finally, rounding out the EP in total class, Subminimal crescendo's with layers of noise and delay over a funk-fuelled rhythm.
All four tracks on this forward thinking EP for Atrophic Society are essential machine-made music and an outstanding addition to Savas' body of work.

Industrial Complexx opens its vinyl releases with a first EP that brings toge- ther a historical part of the industrial scene with contemporary music projects. Both Esplendor Geométrico and Max Durante represent two different musical currents, with different situations in space-time but, with a similarity in terms of great contributions to future movements.
Little remains to be told about Esplendor Geométrico, pioneers of the most transgressive industrial music who have been active for 40 years and who have influenced countless bands and artists with their harsh and hypnotic sound. Necrosis En La Poya was their first single, released in 1981, the track we pu- blish is recorded live at a concert in Tokyo in 2010.
Max Durante is also another essential artist in the European electronic music scene, his most primitive work was to provide Italy with its first raves and to im- port the underground culture and sound to his country. His style is mainly cha- racterized by the harshness and combination of techno with industrial sounds.
To complete this great list of artists there are 3 projects that are currently on the rise, all of which have their own very particular sound. The British L/F/D/M is one of the great references in terms of elaborate sound taken to the limit, a specialist in combining extreme textures that fit perfectly with the dance floor.
Group is a project that wo-rks from anonymity and also has a very personal and very identifying Lo-Fi sound.
SOJ is the maximum responsible of Soil Re- cords, a label that faithfully reflects its so penetrating sound and always linked to a mix of EBM, techno and industrial.

Madrid, Malmø, Motor City – the places that influenced the sound behind the pure Electro EP, „M-Technology“. The fifth SNC Recs release fuses elements from very different cities from all around the world.
The musician Dip Shim aka. Diego Ocejo unites on „M-Technology“ the Sounds of Detroit, his roots in Spain, and the current scene of Sweden. Dip Shim has many talents; in his formative years, he was active in the Graffiti scene and working as a graphic designer. Turning his lifestyle into education, he moved to Malmø, getting lost within the city’s artistic bubble. It was within this creative environment, that Dip Shim found a place to start a new project. Since 2020 he runs the record store called „Bolero Record-Store“ and started his own label „Malmø Traxx“. One thing is for sure – he knows what he’s doing. By the way, Dip Shims' first release on his own imprint was a top seller on Juno and sold out after only two weeks.
„M-Technology“ is for sure the perfect soundtrack for your favorite Graffiti Film or a rave night that will hopefully take place soonish. With his full analogue producing style, using legendary equipment like the MPC2000 and a selection of classic Roland drum machines, Diego created an outstanding 4 track, full Electro EP which will probably heat up a lot of Dancefloors in the near future.

Internationally acclaimed DJ, producer and label boss Guy Gerber has unveiled his dynamic new EP ‘What To Do’, out 2nd March on RUMORS.
A producer known for his eclectic and melodic sounds, Guy’s EP embodies a varied range of sonic arrangements that the Israeli DJ has become synonymous with, starting with the opener ‘What To Do.’ A deep, and cosmic production clad with cymbal-claps and a wide range of isolated percussive instruments, the title track features groove-fuelled vocals, offering a stark contrast to ‘Night of The Gold Diggers’, Guy’s punchy-house track which utilises high-pitched drum rolls and claps. With EP finale ‘Hummingbird Blues’ focusing on percussive bass elements, instrumental chords sweep through a track underpinned by a gruff and distorted vocal.
As a performer, Guy Gerber is consistently rated one of the best touring acts in dance music, earning a top 10 live performer nod three years in a row for Resident Advisor. Launching in 2014, Guy’s RUMORS imprint served as a home to Guy’s colossal collaboration with Dixon, 'No Distance’, as well as his crossover album with Puff Daddy, 11:11, which proved one of 2014’s most startling and impressive LPs. Since then, the label has released music from the likes of Seth Troxler, DJ Tennis, Chaim and more, and Guy’s own standout releases ‘Secret Encounters’ EP in 2016 and ‘Here Comes The Rain’ last year.
The genre-bending spiritual journey ‘What To Do’ encompasses Gerber’s signature sound, set for release on 2nd March.

Dutch psych-musicians Jacco Gardner and Nic Mauskovic create a new take on no-wave, post-disco with their debut LP as Bruxas, Muscle Memory. It’s their third work for the Dekmantel label, following up earlier EPs Mas Profundo (2017) and Sirocco (2018). Immersing themselves in a world of bohemian synth, the duo ex periment with vintage machines and cosmic effects, swimming in rhythmic grooves and psychedelic tones. It’s a style that reflects their respective musical backgrounds, and long partnership, one in which that has strengthened their collaborative, musical muscle memory. After playing together in the revival tour for Zamrock band WITCH, Gardner and Mauskovic struck up a partnership centred around poolside antics, cocktail hours, and a mutual love for late-60s, German kosmische musik. Through their particular style of alchemy, the duo embarked on a quest to craft soundtracks to imaginary, forgotten moments.
‘Cógelo, Rápido’ plays out like a pseudo-disco-noire thriller, while ‘Mountain Cruise’ strums to an upbeat Jodorowsky beat, and then ‘Minitrip’ accompanies the listener through psychedelic planes of existence. Unsurprising then that there is a little bit of Patrick Cowley in this record. A pioneer whose own Muscle Up soundtracks also lent themselves to leftfield synth explorations.
Outside of Bruxas, Gardner and Mauskovic have both found success with their respective careers. Gardner, with his unique take on experimental synth work, and Mauskovic’s rhythmic post-punk, solo-project The Mauskovic Dance Band. Together as Bruxas, they found a synergy full of youthful exuberance that looks to recapture a vintage left-of-centre, wave-scene aesthietc. Recorded on a minimalist setup, Muscle Memory is full of improvisation and psychedelic sound experimentation, proving that with time the subconscious can take over, creating patterns within music that the conscious mind would have otherwise been unable to perform. What one would call, true Muscle Memory.

It's also his debut in a 4 tracked EP, after two previous colaborations, and shapes and reflects much of M.E.R's musical imprint.
The outcome : 4 floor-oriented tracks delivering a classic powerful sound, produced along a year period, which gives a broader outlook on his approach to musical production.

Our imprint marks its five years anniversary this year and to celebrate it’s offering up five special various artist packages across 2019 limited to 250 copies each, featuring material from the likes of Vid, The Mole, Cinthie, Shinichiro Yokota, San Proper, Akiko Kiyama, Com Sin aka Cosmin TRG, Subb-an and more..
Here though we see the focus on the core family as well as some new additions, celebrating the artists involved over the past five years and looking towards the future with some fresh, hotly tipped acts.
For the fourth installment in the series the label welcome’s Berlin’s queen of House Cinthie onto its roster with ‘6am’, as the name would suggest a heads down, emotive slice of House aimed at those special moments in the early hours of the dance floor, fusing a robust analogue drum workout with bright strings, jazzy piano lines and driving low-end.
Akiko Kiyama’s ‘Dirt Specks’ follows, a typically unique offering from the Tokyo based experimentalist, built around swirling bass notes, hypnotising processed vocals and glitched out percussion before label co-founder Red Pig Flower’s ‘Mental Adventure’ brings eastern-tinged plucked strings and vacillating atmospherics into the limelight alongside rounded subs and a bumpy rhythmic drive to create a smooth, hypnotic trip.

No romantic trip into the sunset here – Gaja and Huren come to Arma with a nihilistic determination and a one-way route into absolute darkness.
Gaja, aka Alessandro Gaia, was last seen pounding out Bracny Chelloveck on falling apart. Once locked into the throes of Berlin’s ceaseless techno throb and now back home in Albenga, Italy, Gaia represents the gnarly, noisy extremity of modern dance music. It’s a desolate, distorted place where blasts of noise spit in the empty footprints once shaped by snares and hi-hats, and the bass bleeds out over everything. Listen closely though – the deeper you take yourself into this forbidding space, the more you can detect the subtleties. The delicate relief of the harmonic overtones, the brutally managed modulation. It’s bleak, to be sure, but it’s also beautiful.
Huren is the current guise for David Foster, a Canadian techno vet of high standing thanks to his role in the seminal Teste project. A true underground lifer, he’s cavorted through a cavalcade of aliases and projects over the years – as Huren he’s most noticeably wielded rhythmic noise explorations via Clan Destine, FALK and, since the late 90s, on Zhark. You can sense the primal, instinctive act of creation in his three offering on Ride Or Die – this is the sound of someone for whom post-industrial rhythm mantras and exorcistic utterations are second only to respiring and perspiring.
In two distinct but complementary ways, Gaja and Huren showcase the vivid expressions achievable within monochromatic, noise-oriented techno. It’s a sensory experience matched with unsettling accuracy by Judex Franju’s intense sleeve design. Intense contrast and artful distortion lead the way in lieu of colour – a fierce and formidable underground expression for dystopian times.

Bedouin’s Human By Default recruits Upercent for the four-track ‘Inconformisme EP’ this May.
Previously recording for Watergate, Kompakt and Adana Twins’ TAU, the Valencia-based DJ/producer arrives on Bedouin’s imprint for his debut appearance on the label, delivering some of his most accomplished productions to date on vinyl.
Across the record, Upercent displays combines his wide range of musical influences into a set of engaging downtempo dancefloor cuts with impeccable attention to detail. Opener ‘Elefants’ twists various acoustic instruments and vocal samples around soft shakers and warm low end, leading into theloose percussion of ‘Fluir’, grounded by a softly thudding kick amongst fluttering and glitched out FX.
On the flip, ‘Caduco’ combines the natural and the synthetic as hand percussion meets sharp synth stabs and glowing pads. ‘Hipocresia’ twists mangled horns over a low slung backbeat.
The new sub-label from WNCL Recordings features 12 short “tools” per release, for use on discotheque sound systems and home stereos alike. Released on 10” vinyl with digital to follow at a later date.
Denham Audio – the next generation of breakbeat scientists from the land of bleep and clonk – take some time out from their world domination plans to grace the Library Tool Kit series with an essential collection of heavy duty miniatures.
This is the 16th release on RIOT Radio Records, an independent techno label based in Scotland.
Jerome Hill lives and breathes music with his productions, sets and record labels being educational and hedonistic in equal measures. He’s a label owner, party organiser, scratcher, dot joiner and arguably the best proper pumpin’ party DJ in the world. He’s the founder of “Don’t” recordings, “Fat Hop” records, “Super Rhythm Trax” and 1992 rave themed “Hornsey Hardcore” with his own releases, all of which are absolute honkin’ belters, featuring prominently on labels that are lucky enough to have his work printed with them.
This release sees the welcome return of Jerome to RIOT Radio Records for a second outing with three original tracks and a blustering ‘Bar Room Rumble’ of a remix by those Swedish lunatics TSR. The Don’t master is once again on top form with his own unique style of funkin’ and bumpin’ and wonk to make you stomp. It’ll even shake your body’s as yet undiscovered Cuban hip movements to bust a move or two from the over indulgent rhumba mayhem it’ll stir up within.
WARNING: THESE BAR ROOM RUMBLINGS ARE SURE TO CAUSE THE TORMENTOR TO AWAKEN

This is the 8th release on RIOT Radio Records, an independent techno label based in Scotland.
This 12" is the 3rd of many releases to stem from our V/A - 'STAY TUNED Sampler Vol. I' LP whereby each artist on that compilation will be getting their own individual release.
Martyn's output is nothing short of brilliant, he's a true force to be reckoned with. He's had many, many releases over the years on some of the world's best labels including Don't, Earwiggle, Perc Trax and his own Emetic imprint. This isn't the 1st time he's appeared on RIOT Radio Records either. A well as appearing on the Sampler LP, he'd previously been recruited by us for remix duties on our 3rd release by Ingen which was nothing short of spectacular.
There's two original tracks on this 12', one remix by Codex Empire and two remixes by Somatic Responses. The full digital release also features an additional 'Full On Rave Assault' remix by Somatic Responses which plays at a blistering pace.
You better watch out when there's a Hare about ............................... RUN.

'He Bleeds Stories EP' is the first vinyl release on VRAAA Records, a techno label with the aim of queering-up the genre. Both original tracks contains elements from Projekt Gestalten's past original productions clashing with new sounds and being incorporated into a whole new context; like pieces of different stories scattered throughout the music and reconfigured into a brand new tale. Each track was remixed by projects with contrasting gender identities: the heavyweight techno duo I/Y, representing the masculine side and the fabulous German selector Anja Zaube, giving a feminine perspective.
This is the 14th release on RIOT Radio Records, an independent techno label based in Scotland.
The brothers John and Paul Healy have been collectively known as Somatic Responses for over 20 years and they’ve absolutely no plans to stop. These native residents of a small industrial mining community snuggly located in the southwest region of Wales are an industrial electronic duo that truly encapsulate hard-edged, apocalyptic and mind altering techno to its mechanical core.
This double vinyl LP has eight original tracks that will severely pound your senses with its full on sonic ‘Assault.’ A true journey from start to finish, the music will take you far from this world into time and space itself and leave you wandering some combat strewn war zone on another plain of astral existence.
The full digital release also features two additional original tracks and two remixes by Tomohiko Sagae, all of which add to the complex textures of the story this release weaves.

“The Grind” by El Agua Es Profunda is a beautiful, ever evolving track. Building from a basic rhythm, layering and layering into an anthemic state. Fans of John Hopkins, Kaito, The Field, Gui Boratto will find a familiar vibe in The Grind, but this vivid and cinematic ten and a half minute production triggers memories of epic moments in any dancer.
The B-side holds a remix by Copenhagen‟s Kasper Marott. Highly regarded for his releases on Modeselektor 's Seilscheibenpfeiler, Courtesy's Kulør, and most recently his own Axces imprint. Marott has taken The Grind on a more intense trip, enhancing the percussive elements for the floor.
Behind the artist name El Agua Es Profunda we find the Danish music producer Jacob Funch. He has previously released four digital EPs as well as the abum “Circumnavigating Lueena“ through his own Gold Records. The productions vary in genre from melodic soundscapes and synth-pop to dance music. Besides his solo work he is a frequently used producer for several other artists on the global leftfield indie scene.

Deeper Audio Cuts is back from its 20+ years hiatus!
Scott Featherstone (Triform / Glorious Springtime / Beyond A Void) had been sitting on a treasure of unearthed gems from his early days of production. After supplying us with a massive deadstock of his early releases, DAC001, DAC002 and VOID1 he stored for more than 20 years in a closet, Scott then dug into his DATS and sent us a pendrive stuffed with almost forgotten tracks from those same years.
At that point we thought that kickstarting Deeper Audio Cuts again together with Scott was the next step into the right direction.
With the first release after the hiatus, we reissue one of Scott's most sought after records, 'Lemmon Grass - Itchy EP', co-produced with his then production partner Ben.
We've compiled this special limited edition of 500 copies that includes 2 coloured vinyl: a green lime 12' and a dark green 10', with the originals + previously unreleased versions and tracks.

Ōgon Batto is an exercise in patience; indeed, a model of restraint in these trying times. Although a fixture of the Belgian underground for over a decade (as part of the Hare Akedod label and band, the latter with DSR Lines’ David Edren), Bent Von Bent has released just two albums thus far. A scroll through ‘Browse’ reveals a series of miniature compositions — bite-size psychedelic treats, a sequence of imaginary hyperlinks and clickbait for Generation Instant Gratification, reminiscent of the early work of Battiato, Francois De Roubaix, and Igor Wakhévitch.
Limited edition of 300 copies. Includes an insert, download code and a UE sticker.

Next up on MOM is another exploration of the link between art and music. This time it is dance performance. The musical artist is Okkre (Uge Pañeda) producer of the Spanish duo LCC, who have released two albums on the celebrated Austrian imprint, Editions Mego. Okkre is a composer of soundtracks, DJ and she is currently immersed in researching her "landscapes series" project, connecting countries and cultures that are seemingly unconnected to each other through field recordings... MOM 012 is the soundtrack to a very special performance named ÉPICA. Directed by Barcelona based choreographer Aimar Pérez Galí, it was premiered at Sonar 2017. EPICA brings clubbing culture inside the theatre, to deliver a highly energetic performance, joining bodies, sound and voices of historic and political dissidence. It is about communication between bodies (without language) and the liberty of being on the dancefloor. Freedom of movement, expression and happiness through music! Okkre has provided a startling soundtrack. This soundtrack complements the performance of the dancers beautifully but also deserves to be listened on its own. It is both powerful and dramatic, fitting the title. The music of the soundtrack has been adapted for its imminent release on vinyl. The piece begins with the rhythmic movement of beats, which provides a structured backdrop. They are complemented by a swirling bassline. Overlayed percussion of differing styles comes in and out. Harsh almost metallic synths enter after a few minutes, which also have the sensation of breathing. Later on, powerful synths battle sturdy cymbal assisted percussion. In the latter stages, everything gets even more intense techno feel and the A Side ends with dense dark synths. The music is alive! While the other side gently mixes a melodic bassline that moves like the wind with intertwined chorus and voices, which appeal to the spirit of the artistic work, evoking space for feeling and touching. At the same time, insistent beats offer a club feeling. Scary yet empowering strings create a hypnotic atmosphere alongside falling keys and vocal impressions. The final few minutes provides a strong climax to the record. This features hammering beats, a circling bass and powerful keys. A mighty performance! ÉPICA is indeed epic.
Although Rico Puestel has been producing since 2005, he still seems to be something of an insider tip. Since 'Caravel' though, his August release on Cocoon Recordings, things have taken a dramatic turn with Puestel currently enjoying 'man of the moment' status, especially when it comes to progressive techno and peak time action on the dance floor."973 picks up exactly where 'Caravel' left off, kicking powerfully with irresistable, effect-loaded breaks that really twist your melon. This one really works you over but there's also feeling and a touch of elegance, in fact we can't remember hearing anything like this since Len Faki's Dustin Zahn Remix! '973 proves that 'Caravel' was no flash in the pan, just one tantalising glimpse into the musical world of Rico Puestel and that's not the end of it..."272 is a little more stripped down and chilled to start with, but soon opens up into the same crazy atmosphere as '973. This is dominated by an up-and-running arpeggio synth, which combines with the now familiar effects-break motif to create an incredible hypnotic effect. A little less brutal than '973 but drenched in more reverb, '272 is something like 'kicking Deep Techno' with a nod to the Tech House corner in the style of Mark Broom or Joris Voorn. Mr. Puestel serves up two choice cuts here and there's no question that 973272 will be with us for a while. Buckle up, hold tight and off we go!

What is a shlundee is probably the first thing you’ll ask yourself when you hear this.
In short, it’s a mixture of every music genre that you could imagine, brought to you by Indy Erens. The one-man project Shlundee finds the balance between house, hip-hop & electro. "Himawari" explains that Asia always had a big influence on Shlundee, it's a classic samurai anime. Influenced by club music and the Baltimore / Jersey culture, Shlundee made this EP during lockdown. He had this idea of making something really vibey and different than what people usually expect of him. 'Wait, What?' perfectly represents how Shlundee can expand his boundaries and trying out other stuff. Shlundee is massively influenced by Anz, Lefto, Young Marco, Park Hye Jin, Jamz Supernova & Acemo...

Milanese imprint Ansia returns with a new V/A of warped, unconventional techno. Following his critically acclaimed debut LP 'Perdu', label-head Piezo continues to carve out his club-ready and explorative sonic niche, this time calling on a team of kindred left-field sound manipulators to get the job done. Manchester's BFFT (Whities, Gobstopper, Cong Burn) leads the charge with a dexterous cut that marries mind-bending sound design with club-ready functionality. Next up is Timedance-affiliate Metrist, who is as playful as ever on 'LB Steaua': a deceptively simple 4/4 beat peppered with distorted glitches and psychedelic details reminiscent of Perlon's more left field releases. Moving to the B-side, Piezo delivers his trademark brand of ruffneck techno - buzzing with off-grid tribal drums, cartoon synths and nonsense vocal samples. To close, Mexican leading-light Siete Catorce ratchets up the tempo for a singular track in a world entirely of its own: rude, fast, no-frills, sitting somewhere between digital cumbia and hardcore tekno. Unsurprisingly this one ended up in Batu's relentlessly forward thinking BBC Essential Mix.
Ellen Allien, Anthony Linell and Tensal remix tracks from Amotik's Vistar LP on his self-titled imprint.
After moving to Berlin in 2014, Amotik has been steadily building a base in the city that significantly inspired him. Having developed a unique style of atmospheric techno with a relentless raw undertone, his consistency as both a DJ and producer has seen him perform at some of the most exciting clubs and festivals around the globe. Amotik delivered his first full-length double vinyl LP on his Amotik label earlier in 2019 which will be accompanied by a debut live tour to end the year. The album features 10 tracks with elements of ambient, broken beats, textured soundscapes but has its foundations firmly rooted in techno and invites remixes from heavyweights Ellen Alien, Anthony Linell and Tensal.
Presiding over Stockholm's Northern Electronics label with Varg, Anthony Linell aka Adbullah Rashim dispenses a deep, hypnotic approach which can be heard on releases on Northern Electronics, Semantica Records and Abdulla Rashim Records. Anthony's remix of "Chautis" deploys his meditative production style to great effect through shimmering low end, glistening synths and alleviating elements.
Spanish producer Tensal who has over fifty releases on labels such as Polegroup, Modularz, Mord, Falling Ethics, Arcing Seas, Kynant, Float, Ownlife, Soma, Attic, Propaganda and his own Tensal Records imprint, gears his remix of "Paintis" towards a modern, raw sounding number through crunchy oscillations, thudding kick drums and obscure yet brain-tickling atmospheres.
Berlin's Ellen Allien has been at the forefront of the techno scene for many years adopting a style that sees her blend and weave between mesmerising Berlin techno, acid, freak jack slammers and classics which can be heard on her BPitch Control imprint, as well as her remix of "Tetalis" which adopts sharp rhythms, entrancing leads, dramatic yet euphoric leads filled with nostalgia to round off this remix package with majestic style.

Desroi cuts his unrivaled skill to combine power and pace into four new tracks again. "Vermillion Border" draws from a dazed palette of concise and forceful sounds and thus raises the bar on his lasting run of EPs.
Tightly oscillating and resoundingly austere, the EP has its moments of stormy brutality that punctuates the mesmeric synth cycles to inspiriting elation. "Bright Blood" and "Gauze Covers Flaw" appear tethered at the base by cavernous low end and heady drum machine programming which drives the work.
Closing track "Empty Eye" might present Desroi's most funky work to date, rounding the EP off with a single warping synth motif shifting through sonic spheres.

Extrawelt are Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe. Both have been around for about 40 years, and making music together for half that time. They enjoy normal things and are ashamed of their carbon footprints due to the large number of flights they take to bring them to their gigs. Unknown, is the tenth studio album from the producer team, and the fourth under the name Extrawelt. Its largely devoted to another side of their creations.
Something's different. Well, Extrawelt releases always have been somehow different yet, despite becoming instantly absorbed into the familiar Extrawelt atmosphere when listening, I can't help but notice again: something's very different. Feet are bouncing, mind is traveling and my fingers speed across the keyboard like they're on fire. I'm trying to imagine what it would be like to listen to Unknown with closed eyes in the midst of a throbbing concert instead of through laptop speakers.
Listening to Extrawelt on crappy speakers is anyway never a good idea, as it really deserves the backing of the loudest and best possible sound system.
With this, I leave the audio confines of my low-fi laptop world and get in the car. Cranking up the stereo, I cruise around aimlessly — lost in appreciation of the music from within the bubble of my metal highway-pod on wheels. I've got the urge to speed up — which is surprising considering I'm a usually a very sensible driver. The bass and the beats blow up in my face. Something uncluttered. Something broken. Something grimy. Something sideways. Something undeniably Extrawelt, yet inherently different to what we've come to expect from the Hamburg pair. I don't plan on getting all emotional, but something about this twelve track journey fits together so superbly it's hard not to be overcome with at least a few shivers up the spine. With profound bass lines and cutting drums, I keep coming back to these sounds. Again and again these sounds. On one hand you feel that you know them, on the other hand you don't know them at all. Is that a synthesiser or a voice Is it rotating or just linear reinvented Whatever the answer, my mind goes astray. Whether this is exotic or native doesn't matter: all I know is that it's great. Meanwhile I've reached track seven and now I realise what's been different all along — it isn't techno! Somehow, they've accomplished staying true to themselves despite deploying not even one four-to-the floor-bass drum. Admittedly, you can find a couple of similar tracks on a few of their previous releases, but here you've got a whole album fullof it. I gotta listen to track seven again. As a music writer I'm asking myself: what genre of music is this actually Neo-Electro Alternative Electronica Emo-EDM Ah, whatever — these guys don't like to be put into boxes anyway. It's simply Extrawelt.
As I talk to Arne and Wayan later on, I discover that the tracks on Unknown began simmering more than ten years ago without any goal or idea regarding if they'd end up releasing them. Come 2018 though, the time felt right to dedicate an entire album to this side of their musical spectrum. This also explains how Unknownappeared so quickly after their most recent LP 'Fear Of An Extra Planet'. As the guys mention 'We just felt these tracks a lot when we made them, and never cared really if anyone would be interested in it'.
We're definitely interested!
Yours sincerely,
Cocoon

Airual is the new record label by Mario Lauriano a passionate Italian expat living in Berlin for almost a decade. Deeply influenced by the House music played in the clubs of Neaples in the late 90s, he has

“Dubra Tape” and “Philatrop Philosp” are two hefty gems of devotion to the true dub Techno sound of the German capital, enriched by a contemporary taste for Elektron’s spectral qualities. Nobody better

quick paced tribute to the Motor City pioneers of electronic dance music.

Radio Slave and Gene Richards Jr remix Marco Faraone on ‘No Filter Remixes (Part II)’ this April on Rekids.
For the second remix EP of Marco Faraone’s 2020 ‘No Filter’ LP, Rekids boss Radio Slave and WRKTRX and UNCAGE affiliate Gene Richards Jr step up to the plate and deliver two bombastic remixes of Faraone’s works.
On the A-side, Radio Slave is in stomping techno-mode with his take on ‘Addiction’, the hypnotic titular vocal meeting an onslaught of climbing-the-walls percussion and dizzying arpeggios for nine minutes of club chaos.
The B-side sees Gene Richards Jr, an artist who is winning an outstanding number of props from a huge variety of DJs at the moment, injects shuffle and swing into the bones of ‘Frog Face’ alongside a dose of hands-on FX tweaking and pitch bending percussion, bringing a dynamic and distinct take on Faraone’s track.

Amsterdam-based label Kalahari Oyster Cult proudly presents release #18. UK transplant and currently residing in the techno mecca Berlin, A Psychic Yes a.k.a. Timothy Crombie delivers his sophomore EP named “A Maze Dream EP”. The title track immediately mesmerizes with its abundantly organic beauty. There is a direction from this relatively new artist that is unique and special. Japan’s Sapphire Slows remix follows it up and brings the beat more to the forefront in a trippy journey that defies laws of gravity. Tribal is an understatement for this EP. More of being immersed in a kind of primitive sunken garden. “Forest Floor” starts off the second side with an alien language all its own while “The Skaters” absorbs you in a primordial rainforest groove. The sounds throughout this EP are natural, innate and anatomical. This is an essential release to have that blurs the lines between land, sea and space.

Autumns Meets Post-Punkers Uptown. A couple of years after the Dyslexia Tracks EP, and following a volley of killer releases on labels such as iDEAL, Death & Leisure and Opal Tapes, Autumns returns to Touch Sensitive with perhaps his most complete set to date. Pitching down the BPM but maintaining the intensity of his recent recorded output and incendiary live shows, Dyslexia Sound System sees Christian Donaghey turn the edit on himself with a grip of eight dub-wave zingers. Pulling from his love of On-U Sound, The Pop Group, and Public Image Limited, Dyslexia Sound System perfectly fuses dubbed-out dynamics with the tough and unrelenting electronics that has become Autumns' signature sound. Over the last couple of months, the records of Berlin-based duo CYRK have become a hot commodity within DJ circles. Their releases on Rawax and Vakant are firm favorites of selectors like Helena Hauff, Steffi, Alienata, Laurent Garnier,Slam, Maceo Plex, Solid Blake or Len Faki. Time Zero, CYRK's new label (together with their friends Flash Fab and Lad Caduceus), marks the next step for the prolific duo. Dreamscience, Time Zero's inaugural EP, features five tracks that traverse CYRK's influences in style, adding their own trademark twist. Tracks like "Collateral" and the eponymous cut are diving deep into Detroit's electro heritage, while "CS70m" takes cues from classic electronica and IDM. "Automotive" is a throbbing broken beat work-out with plenty of soul and "Monument", the EP's closing tracks is a string-laden journey in itself. Get ready for the next chapter in CYRK's irresistible ascent!

Rising/Falling marks multi faceted artist Daze Maxim aka Markus Manowki's second full length LP since 2000's Same Place The Bot Got Smashed. The album's title refers to the breathing exercises of meditation; something that by chance Daze begun at the same time as the LP's conception. This additional balance and clarity allowed the album to develop harmoniously, and paved the way for completion. There is also a nod to reflexivity as although this discipline provided necessary solace, it also demanded greater engagement. The overall aesthetic is unquestionably true to the minimal framework Daze has meticulously crafted over the past 15 years. A playground of intermittent tempo and hybrid organic electronica, harmony builds whilst dissonance prevails. There is maturity and guts in the selection and delivery of each part's piece in the puzzle, and a true viral beauty as it gains momentum. What is immediately striking about the album in full is its brooding space and progression. From ambient tones and warped classic synths, to rigorous live instrumentation, the sonic palette enriches as the odyssey continues. Much akin to a camera lens drifting in and out of focus, Daze toys with periodic collapse and elongated movements, but always pulls the listener back through percussive punctuation. The collaborations featured on the record occurred naturally, however the sessions played out differently. Sloth's unique trumpet work on the opener is a entirely improvised workout without specific key or time signatures. In contrast Yonatan, a classically trained jazz musician from Tel Aviv now residing in NYC, added bowed and fingered double bass to an already arranged work.

Cosmic library dub album by disrupt on the new Zonedog imprint, soaked in swirling synths, mind-altering loops and lushly textured polygons.
"The Recreation Room" follows up on the old SciFi idea of The Holodeck, a computer generated reality where space ship crews can get a break from the daily grind – a place where your mind can travel while your arse stays firmly on the couch. Disrupt is taking a closer look at the mechanics behind it, then messes with its deeper controls to optimize the simulation for an intense horizontal experience.
The VR-ready sequel to "Omega Station" (2018 on Jahtari) is a dubbed out piece of Sonic Fiction with a washed out nineties digitality, as seen through layers of tape all the way back to Black Ark – music from a future that already happened.

DJ Durbin is back with his second release on Row Records.
Four boundary-pushing tracks for your inner journey to
unknown spheres and a (¦ngers crossed) better future.
Dj Teech and Taurus Impex Limited are the pseudonyms chosen by Marieu and Lucretio for their unconventional output, and already signed by Berceuse Heroique and Knick Knacks Yoda. "Coup d'etat" is a collection of 4 cutting edge tracks at the boundaries of Techno and House music. "Digital Bacteria" and "CGL" are two dancefloor minimalistic busters with a quick pace, with shuffled percussion and heavy digital sub basses coded over a steel cyberpunk texture. "PitchBlacky" and "The Perennial" have a very slow tempo but are injected of stinging hi tech funk enclosing a jacky essence that pour out from its experimental superstructure.

Gerd Janson, Lexx, Bell Towers, Belia Winnewisser, DJ Kaos and Never4ever remixed Ethimm’s By Night EP.
We all know Nights are nicer when you are with your friends, so Ethimm asked some of his old friends and favorite acts to remix his recent EP ‘By Night’. Quite a few hopped on the bandwagon: Germany’s most prolific remixer and DJs DJ Gerd Janson turned Ethimm’s ‘Lies’ into a relentlessly deep and driving house cut with drums reminiscent of New Order. Balearic boss Lexx stripped the track down to its bare vocal and rebuilt it with a 90ies New York vibe. Bell Towers added his prototypical leftfield approach to ‘Don’t Go Away’, while Berlin’s legendary DJ Kaos remade it into a classic acid stomper. The remix EP is completed by newcomer Never4Ever’s breakbeat treatment of the same track and swiss experimental queen Belia Winnewisser’s treatment of ‘Island Jam’.

Anthony Di Franco (Ramleh, Skullflower, AX) debuts on L.I.E.S. with his infamous JFK project. Starting in 1987, Di Franco was immersed in the burgeoning UK "tape exchange by mail" scene which fostered many different strains of extreme and experimental sounds being developed during this time.
Initially working in a murky, decayed industrial sound, as the project has progressed to the the present, JFK has transformed the early approach into a now razor sharp, hi- fidelity, punishing wall of sound that still envelops the listener in the same way as his early music but now with a refined and massive sonic attack.
Throughout Avalanche Zone's six tracks we get Di Franco in top form alternating from blistering machine gun rhythms to stand still slow beat metallic crushers with synthetic electrified drama forcing the air from the speakers demonstrating full on sound pressure. This is a welcome addition to the JFK catalog and further expands how the artists vision has developed as the years have passed. Complete and total heaviness!

Label say : We couldn’t be happier to put this disc out there. Kush’s first time on wax (his Strictly 4 My CDJs series on his Bandcamp site is essential) is four tracks that just relentlessly provide for the DJ in you. Representing the new era of NYC dance music along with artists like AceMoMa and DJ Swisha, mixing footwork and other influences with classic house and techno forms to get busy._
_The whole 12” is lethal stuff that recalls Dance Mania at it’s most melodic and spaced out, or prime-time Boo Williams. “Earth Note” pulls bright synths thru swinging Chi foundations, “Ari Dub” rocks the bells and the bass in Bronx fashion, “Worldly Rhythm” piles UR melodies and techno grandeur on a vicious bassline, and “Reso”
closes things out with a devastating mixer full of blue-hot string work. Relentless and essential. TIP TIP TIP!_

Visible Spectrum is the newly launched creative playground of Yuri Boselie, also known as Cinnaman. Since donning the Cinnaman alias nearly two decades ago, he’s become a well known figure of the Amsterdam nightlife scene with long running residencies at the city's most lauded clubbing institutions like Club 11, Trouw and most recently De School. Next to his DJ sets, he's made early moves in label curation with A&R work for Rush Hour and Kindred Spirits offshoot Nod Navigators, and with his own Beat Dimensions compilations in the late 00s. With Visible Spectrum — defined as the electromagnetic frequencies visible by the human eye — a new chapter is born. It is an outlet for electronic music in the widest sense. Each sleeve will have its own unique screen printed artwork by Marilyn Sonneveld.
The first EP comes from Mor Elian, the Berlin based artist and owner of the Fever AM label. Here she offers the loose and hypnotic rhythms of 'Clairvoyant Frog' which is deep and atmospheric, like some sort of primordial techno soup. 'Shoshana's Roses' then picks up the pace with layers of rumbling drums, wooden hits and snaking synths taking you into a steamy, humid jungle before closer 'Planet Kismet' is a much quicker and more urgent bit of enchanting break-beat techno with pummeling minimal drums and warped synths and perc getting you under their sci-fi spell. A fascinating first outing that sets a high standard from the off.
The new reference of INDUSTRIAS MEKANIKAS comes to us from artist MOVA, a young promise of the electronic scene of Georgia.
The new 12″ of the Madrid label, gathers 6 cuts of the artist to present this work in Mini Lp format, where MOVA makes us a presentation of all its potential.
Under the title TSRIULI BRUNVA, the Georgian artist is shattering us with a devastating forcefulness, what awaits us… Dark rhythms, apocalyptic pads, or voices that seem taken out of the same underworld, without a doubt we can say that listening to each one of his tracks, it is left to intuit the influences of the artist, that are alternating between broken bases to the purest sound Electro Techno, with own sequences of the EBM, arriving even in their hardest tracks to play with genres like the Industrial Techno.
After a few minutes of listening, we can say that TSRIULI BRUNVA is an exquisite work, which will make the dance floors of half the world burn …!

The EP starts with 'The Road to Transformation' - a groovy, well-structured track that will keep people rooted to the dance floor. The track exudes energy that will win any club over as it tirelessly engrains into the minds of clubbers with hypnotizing drums and a haunting vocal, this is a track that perfectly fits the Drumcode sound and ethos. On the flip side, 'Sonic Language' offers something a little different. Its fluid sound and effortless groove give this track a unique and interesting take on techno. The chord stabs give it a distinctive impression that helps to add funk to a bass loaded groove.

Perfectly capturing the energetic, driving techno sound that Paul is capable of, 'Brainwash' delivers something that really engrains into the memory and leaves the dancefloor filled with vitality. INCL. MIKE PARKER REMIX
PTTRN follow up strong releases on labels like MindTrip and Float with a first high energy offering for Token. The record also marks Mike Parker's first outing on the label with a stunning remix in his inimitable style.
A natural fit for Token, the Belgian duo serve up a neat package of rolling contemporary Techno - driven but dynamic and broad in terms of tone. The production is decidedly refined and riffs on the classic posits of the genre, making the very most of very little.
Opener Disappear 1 sets the scene: immediate, metallic material for the dance-floor and Disappear 2 doesn't let the energy dip - a slice of pure peak time Techno executed with considerable deftness. Closing out the A side, Disappear 3 opens things up, a marginally more airy take on the same dense, rhythmic work. On the B side Disappear 4 goes deeper and more hypnotic but doesn't lose the energy that defines the record before segueing into Parker's remix - a powerful dose of the classic sound that has made the artist one of the true mainstays of the genre.

X’trapolis is under threat...
Word is spreading fast that the powerful an long-feared Agamid lizard known by many as Reptilius has been sighted building a dangerous army on the outskirts of Squamata, exhausting the forests natural resources and leaving previously thriving, culturally significant and beautiful areas decrepit and lifeless in a greedy, capitalistic move to gain control.
Completely unaware of this, Reptant returns home to X’trapolis after spending 5 years conducting extensive research on Earth’s unique analogue technology.
With his esteemed Lizard Tech Militia stuck back on Earth, Reptant finds himself alone and must seek help from the infamous Gecko Force if he wishes to succeed in protecting his home.
The Gecko Force are a lounge of superior prehistoric native Gecko’s rumoured to have been some of the only survivors from the brutal Agamid colonisation of X’trapolis which occurred many generations ago.
With their power and extensive knowledge of X’trapolis, the planet and all of its delicate and precious lifeforms just might stand a chance...

Wake Dream is proud to present Palav Aed, the first full length album by Amsterdam/Tallinn based Estonian musician Ruutu Poiss.
Recorded over the course of seven years from 2012 to 2019 in various home studios in Ruutu Poiss’ home town Tallinn, the tracks on Palav Aed were all made revolving around the same equipment constellation, the album sounding as coherent as it sounds timeless.
Having released several 7”s, 12”s and EPs on Levels, International Major Label, Rets Records and being featured on various compilations from Fasaan Rec. and Porridge Bullet, Ruutu Poiss defined a sonic universe of his own that is equally unique as it is familiar.
Rich in influences and references, from ethereal harmonics and melodics that might be traced back to his background in choral music, to saturated synth funk and psychedelic futurism, Palav Aed is a document that encompasses the full range of Ruutu Poiss, a musician peacefully floating through leftfield electronics, experiments and sonic imaginations.

Archival material from UK techno stalwart, Steve Bicknell ( LOST, Cosmic Records). Heavyweight DJ tools, check!
"All tracks were recorded in the early 90's intended to be released as an introduction to Chicago influences of the LOST dancefloor, and to also launch another side of Cosmic Records, ‘CLUBTRACKS’. The release was titled ‘The Message’ as that’s what it was, an unspoken message of the introduction of ‘CLUBTRACKS’.
"The production concept was minimal and raw, with Chicago influences, the tracks were recorded using an Atari 1040, Roland 808 and JD800 Synthesizer, non structured, recorded live to DAT. Edits 1 & 2 were recorded late 92/3 and never intended to be released as these were produced for my Dj sets. But they created a lot of interest when played, and many Dj’s wanted the edits released for their use. I had gone through a few acitates already, so I decided to include the edits as part of the release." Steve Bicknell

(Oscar Mulero, Johannes Heil, Tripeo remix) Spanish techno master Oscar Mulero takes over the A-side, keeps the heat of the original and adds extra tension to offer a stand out rendition of 'Obsession'. Soil Records continue their exploration of contemporary Techno with the efforts of another new artist to the label - SOJ. Following on from Orlock 101's Bram Stocker inspired work on the first record - SOJ's work drives to equal depths of artistic concept for 002. Opening the EP, Killabill is a live recorded Techno monster, raw and gritty in the very best sense. One for heavier moments in life but with a looseness that really brings out the groove.
Mile Mile follows on dropping the 4x4 for a more broken rhythm, acidic synthwork driving this track ever onward into more agressive expressions of dancefloor energy. Downright Scarey.
Next up we have The End of the Education, this drops the tempo just a touch and takes us into deeper territory, the eiree soundscape and perfectly balanced vocal drops really take this one to a different kind of place.
Closing out the EP, Pay Attention is an exercise in the precise, snappy punchy beats work carefully with subtle percussion. The synthwork is precisely measure to work within the framework the dominating kick develops. Such a varied EP all bound together by some of the most vibey Techno themes this year.

The idea for Suemori's new alias arose in conversation with Osàre! Editions label boss, Elena Colombi. An inheritance from his grandfather, the name sets the tone of the album that synthesises traditional Japanese instruments into an electronic format. Dub and drone’s eerie resonance collides with staccato electro and fizzling acid on ‘Yakkosan.’ Driven by a meditative beat, flutes and choral voices glide through 'Senpai Kouhai' while ‘Hankumoi’ shudders with lucid synth. The cultural iconography of Japan emerges from this dark, textual landscape, haunted both by the ghosts of the past and spectral sound of the future.

Tomoki Tamura's Holic Trax label has long been renowned as a canny exporter of clued in house and techno. Their latest continues in this regard, as Tamura again calls on a series of renowned label friends to bring the heat. With names such as Mr.G, Satoshi Tommie and Tuccillo all appearing it here alongside Tamura himself, it's no surprise that this 3 x vinyl record, celebrating 5 years of the label, is filled with drama and high points throughout.
This is immediately obvious from Mr.G's "Soba Shioyaki". Titled in homage to the label's Japanese heritage, it's a dark and dexterous workout that marks another high point in a career filled with big records. Deep but tough, it's a perfect of why the tech house master is so revered in underground circles. G's "Komorebi" puts a tough emphasis on the drums, as well as a weaving, subtle baseline that adds a further dynamic to his work here.
HT24 comes from Satoshi Tommiie & Tuccillo, two producers whose sounds are perfectly suited to Holic's output. Their four-track contribution starts with "Do It", a spiky catchy number that's exciting from the off. "What Row" sees the boys inject some added funk into the equation, before "To Ray" ups the intensity with a raw, pulverising aesthetic that takes no prisoners. Wrapping up their side of the bargain is the digital only "You Know", a real bumper of a track with Chicago-inspired synth stabs that help bring it to higher planes.
It's the left to Tamura himself to close the offering via HT25. A1, the appropriately named "5ive Years' is a techno workout of the type that's notable for its off-kilter motifs and a stubborn, industrial feel. Unforgiving and full of atmosphere, it's the sign of a producer who clearly knows his way around he mixing deck. "Polyphonic Six" displays the producer's more introspective sound thanks to a melancholic perspective that's hard not to embrace. All things told, this is a wonderfully diverse package from Tamura & co. Here's to the next 5!

Following 2020’s debut album ‘Zoom’, upsammy returns to Dekmantel with a dualistic four-tracker called ‘Bend’, incorporating familiar sonic palettes and novel paths carved out in times of isolation.
Where Zoom channelled upsammy’s conceptual depth, Bend leans into artistic intuition, juxtaposing the floral and martial, propelling along her signature sound of textured electronica. Lilac chimes rise and fall along the melodic Flutter and Metallic, while the sinister creeps from Spat and Worm’s spacious cracks. All in all, Bend discloses upsammy’s versatility yet again, ever-shifting as the ambiguous modernity she continues to wander - an artist able to shift through the complexity of modernity with rare grace. Early support comes from Ben UFO, Lena Willikens, and CCL.

Part 2[7,98 €]
After four technically and aesthetically impressive salvos of eclectic electronics, the 5-year anniversary compilation from Stroboscopic Artefacts reaches its terminus with this new release. Worrying about whether or not the series 'goes out with a bang' seems unnecessary, since the series has always felt pleasingly unconventional, and thus not too concerned with the conventional act of providing listeners with a grand finale. Simply put, this high-quality 'retrospective' series has been more about challenging the S.A. constellation of artists to forge new paths than it has been about nostalgically revisiting the past, and so it's better to approach this last installment as a statement on the past informing the future. Donato Dozzy, Lucy, and the Sendai duo are the parties responsible for bringing us the final report of the series. Those already familiar with these artists' past works for S.A. will understand immediately that these artists are not all cut from the same cloth, and those who didn't know that will soon find out. As with the previous 'anniversary' records, the intent here is to synthesize significantly different sounds into a uniform or seamless listening experience, to the point where the record seems more like a genuine collaboration between the artists than a mere 'sampler' record offering eclecticism for its own sake. Donato Dozzy's entry here is very much in keeping with the spirit of his S.A. release Terzo Giorno. It is as propulsive as any of the best techno music of past decades, exhibiting a marked indifference to the inessential and a knack for smashing together percussive atoms of a thick and bombastic quality. To do so without punishing speakers completely into submission or turning everything into a fatiguing mess is more difficult than it sounds, but Dozzy is certainly up to the task here.

For their first release, Zurich-based label Unruh proudly present Sextant Part 1, comprising four tracks from the crew and their friends. First up is Panstarrs with ‘Pendulum’, a fierce slice of dark, semi-industrial electro, followed by the nagging synths and jacking drums of ‘Night Ride’ by Tachyon. The flip opens with ‘Mammoth Hunt’ by The Winky Wanky Wonky Woo, a shapeshifting behemoth of unhinged effects and pounding beats, before Robotron brings the EP to a blissful conclusion with ‘Baltik’.

Sons of Traders 002 is a Compilation 8 Tracks Ep of loosely knit artists that surround the duo Sons of Traders (Mike Tansella Jr. and TANS). Leading the EP, the title track “Rotten to the Core” is a slow stomper with a forceful vocal sample and some various squelches. LA’s Kosmik picks up the tempo with “Murmurs” which features a hypnotic synth loop over a 4/4 beat. On “Chomping at the Bit” C.L.A.W.S. and Tyrell trade off between claps, hi hats and short delays underneath a sinister synth tone. To close the A side of the record is Future Blondes out of Texas with “2020 ultra visions”, a cut that can only be described as a sinister barrage of slamming drums and tones. The B side launches with “The Other Side of Town” by The White Lines, a dark electro workout with vocal samples, dark synths and growling bassline. Frigio label boss Juan Pablo brings us an intricate drum pattern with layers of synths on “Night Drive in Beijing”. “Self Feral” by Chris Mitchell is something with a hip hop swing, heavy drums, various feedback and vocals. Closing the EP is Dragee, a new artist from Tel Aviv. “Them” features a hard snare that holds together the demented vocals, claps and bassline that develop throughout the track.
Fill-Lex Records is back with a VA, three international producers (ImiAFan & Adrian Smith, Retrograde Youth, RXRNX) vs 3 national producers (Lex-Or & Go5, WLDV, SOJ). On the first side we find the experienced ImiAFan, Slovak electro synthpop artist owner of 4mgrecords and Adrian Smith (vocals and synthesizers) in the 80's cult band "Click Click", great veteran and precursor of the maximum splendor of EBM. The track "try again" is a revision of an original track released on the Holland label Seja, darkwave with industrial style.
After his visit to Valencia on the first anniversary of the label, Retrograde Youth shows us a completely different side to what we are used to, MMF is an exquisite track close to a more experimental sound, with long development, layers of synthesizers that generate a sonic wall. Finally, on side A we find the Argentine producer RXRNX, with his characteristic sound of industrial techno, with EBM dyes, in which he shows us his most aggressive side, with a track 100% focused on raising the track.
On the B-side are the Spanish producers. Lex-Or & Go 5 return to do their thing once again, a track with much more rhythm to which we are accustomed, in which they explore a sound more focused on the track. "Bozal 19" was composed during the summer of confinement, industriality, heaviness and a markedly political discourse lead us to an originally unsettling track. WLDV is a well-known producer in the current EBM scene, Horror disco, darkwave, with releases on labels such as (Giallo Disco, Bordello a Parigi or Waste Editions). Nathan brings us a rythm noise / EBM track with melodies close to dark ambient.
Finally, we have SOJ, the head thinker at Soil Records and maximum bastion of the EBM/Industrial sound that is stirring up Spain at the moment. Cycle is a song that touches our soul as it gathers many influences of the Valencia sound from which the label has been nurtured since its childhood. Clear and defined beats and pads, along with a mix that seems to transport you to the early 90's with the industrial ebm and new beat touch of the Valencian route.

From the mind of VernoN comes the first release of Eupasia, a label that tells the story of a mythic world built under the ground by some undead worms that have gained human characteristics. This first EP evokes gloomy and misty ambiences, followed by electro rhythms and rough basses, creating tension and resembling claustrophobia feelings.

Beijing-based duo Zaliva-D returns with a second installment on Knekelhuis. After last year’s great EP, released on Shanghai label SVBKVLT, Zaliva-D unleashes a new record in these unreal pandemic times. At its core is a concept of data’s capacity to overcome any boundary, whether that’s physical, digital or mental.
The material at hand, created after the second European tour, pushes heavily through walls, with bombastically accentuated kicks. Blended with joyous, psychedelic songwriting, it is a testament to the power of music to unite despite involuntary confinement.

The Womxn EP (what's your type) is a celebration and a message of Womxn empowerment. The EP consists of four tracks each referring to a different stereotype for women in contemporary Western society - "The Holy Jane", "The Drama Queen", "Old With Cats" and "Single And Fab" -. The Womxn EP criticizes and deconstructs many of the harmful stereotypical roles ascribed to Womxn who display certain characteristics. Each Womxn has the right to become herself and do whatever she needs to do even if that goes against society's expectations of what Womxn should represent or behave.

Drumcode continues on releasing the most cutting edge and refined techno that the label is so well known for. With releases last year from heavy hitters such as Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Luigi Madonna, Jel Ford, dubspeeka and Mark Reeve; Drumcode will continue on in 2016 much in the same way - bringing club ready music to the techno community.
Swedish citizen, Christian Smith spent the late 80's years in Germany soaking up the early house and techno sound of Sven Vath. Now based in Sao Paulo, he has been championing his funky mix of house and soulful techno for more than a decade, playing across Asia, North & South America, and Europe, plus regular slots at festivals like UK's Creamfields, Holland's Dancevalley, Spain's Monegros and Belgium's I Love Techno.
His music released on a variety of top labels like Renaissance; Adam Beyer's Drumcode, Josh Wink's Ovum, 100% Pure, John Digweed's Bedrock, and his very own Tronic, only proves his flexibility in the studio. Similarly, on the decks, Christian's set is a cauldron of chunky grooves with loads of energy. Christian Smith is back to Drumcode with a full force, high energy EP.
'Force Majeure', consisting of three driving techno tracks, is laced with energetic crescendos, thumping kick drums and deep bass lines. The stirring samples and entrancing percussion used alongside the powerful production really showcase Smith's diversity and talent as a producer - this EP is not to be missed.

For decades there have been rumours of arterial secret tunnels running beneath our cities. No-one knows why or how long they have been there but maps and reports have appeared over the years thanks to a handful of wide-eyed whistleblowers.
Often hiding in plain sight behind faceless logos and Haga fencing, these tunnels are said to contain the government’s dark explorations, store unspoken cargo and even house extraterrestrial experiments.
Subterra Highway is the debut EP from D3U5E & GAV. A tribute to conspiracy theories, obsession and corporate illusion.
An important moment for both artists and Programm's first release after our sampler last June. Each track of the EP takes you down a different path. Jittering in and out of the darkness with both artist's trademark off kilter drums and engulfing basslines. They draw on influences from breaks, grime, and UK techno to travel down each rabbit hole.
The cover is designed by Alfie Allen and we have worked with directors Constantine Spence on a music video for Free Mars.

Beyond Space And Time is the new record label from Japanese music festival, Rainbow Disco Club (RDC). RDC has been welcoming music loving people to Japan for over a decade. Throughout the festival's history, RDC have been fortunate to constantly encounter performers and DJs who've collaborated with them in establishing a beautiful dance floor year in, year out. These relationships have lead RDC to start their own label, and now gives them the opportunity to reveal one of the best-kept secrets: What is in a DJ's record bag?
This time around, festival regular DJ Nobu kindly opens up his collection and shares the music he loves with us all. On visual duty we welcome Senekt - his representational yet contemporary drawing illustrates the emotion we feel from DJ Nobu.
We have much more music to come in future from artists that we trust and respect.
▼ DJ Nobu describes 10 tracks this way ▼
A1. Laurent Garnier - Water Planet
Highly respected French DJ/Producer Laurent Garnier has been releasing tracks for decades capturing the very essence of Detroit Techno and Breakbeat. He always manages to create something truly emotional. This is not his biggest hit, but it's my favorite.
A2. Mono Junk - Beyond The Darkness
This track represents the very early days of Techno with it's ravey atmosphere. It has a primitive feel, and the obscure mixdown sounds almost unbalanced. That said, this one really stands out when DJing. Very cool.
B1. Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia - The Valley
It was always my intention to include this track in a compilation if were I ever to do one. It has a fat underlying groove, with some indigenous spices thrown in. The whole thing is put together beautifully. No complaints!
B2. Melody Boy 2000 - Plenty Of Love
I wanted to include a track that had Jacking feel to it - that is my definition of dance music. This track mixes well in both Techno and House DJ sets.
C1. Drax Ltd. II - Amphetamine
This is my all time favorite track by Thomas P Heckman. It asks questions and strikes down all the boring 'wanna be cool' techno tracks. It is obviously a well known tune already, but I include it here because I'm often asked for it's track ID from new kids in the game. This is a classic that should be passed down.
C2. Dan Curtin - 3rd From The Sun
Curtin's refined synth grooves and bass lines make this a true timeless classic. It do not get tired of listening to his rhythms and melodies - he always gets it just right.
C3. Front 242 - U-Men.
The originator of Electric Body Music. Their husky vocals, hard rhythms and strong synth basslines made the group very popular at the time, and they are still to this present day. To me, this track represents what the Belgian New Beat scene is all about.
D1. The Prince Of Dance Music - E3 E6 Roll On
This is the track I played the most up until around 2006. It is a genuine house track that cuts through trends in music. A hidden floor killer.
D2. Pan Sonic - Lähetys / Transmission
Electronic music has existed for decades, and if you are to choose some of the best from all scattered & hidden places, Pan Sonic's 'Lähetys / Transmission' must be considered. The track emerges beautifully - breaking structures and transcending the past. Every layer of the piece is produced with such delicacy and care, that as a whole it magically drags you into the world of the unknown.
D3. Burial - Archangel
This track merges melancholic emotions with technological prowess at the highest level, and deeply impacted the dance music scene on it's release. I recently played this track at the end of my set at the forward thinking Terraforma Festival in Milan. It faded out to huge applause from the open minded crowd. A moment to be remembered.

Veteran dub techno producer Brendon Moeller dons his Echologist alias on 'The Flame' EP.
The title track is the most experimental, opening the record with tripped-out machine melodies and off-beat drum hits. 'Kavorka' follows in the same vein but is more obviously dancefloor-focused. Its arps build up the tension until a thick 303 line takes things to tipping point and eventually release. On the B-side, 'Dirtbox' is a fast-paced, Echologist take on warehouse techno and a deep, atmospheric cut 'Candy Mountain' finishes the record in Moeller's signature style.
