Tim Green turned to one of our main players here at Cocoon Recordings as he is looking at his fifth release with this one already. Well done chap! This means that Green is one of the few artists that reflects the sound of the label like only a few out others there: Minimal Techno with the right amount of energy but not too cold and spiced up with fat basslines and manic synths to burn down every floor, that is Mr. Green in full effect! London based Green seems to be the master of that typical sound we are focusing at. His top notch musical output is full of energy and features colourful melodies and sounds. He composes like a painter paints, layer by layer and all on a solid and perfect base. Green creates his tunes with a big musical potential but manages it to keep the balance right without being too melodic or even over intelectual. His acoustic paintings are fat and they appear heavy and perfectly designed. They communicate straight and clear. Green is the fighter against simple and boring loop arrangements with dodgy one note basslines. His music is food for dancers and listeners at the same time - and both in perfection. Greens new release for Cocoon is no exception to this and follows that formular: 'Eclipse' and 'Thieves' are big productions with massive melody parts packed in a minimal cover. His beats and bass-programing are on spot and make his composition complete. This ep appears super heavy and colourful and just perfect. This is the right sound for all those upcoming open air festivals, hedonistic music in a sentimental mood that just makes us wanna dance - bring it on Mr. Green!

EarToGround Records 3rd consecutive vinyl only release, once again features as a limited pressing on high quality black wax and is likely to be seen by techno purists as ready to go dj ammunition for a variety of dance floors, as each track & remix carries its own identity. Aptly titled the 'Kommand EP' after it's strikingly powerful A Side, ETG002 see's the return of resident label artists and firmly rooted crew members, 'Chris Stanford & Dax J' after their well respected debut e.p 'Programm' on ETG001. The hard-hitting rumble of Kommand, is traditionally industrial with a memorable hypnotic lead. Which during its journey falls into a misty pad of resembling a dark chamber. Adam Cummings aka Binny made his first appearance on Orbis Records a few months back and it was certainly not his last.
That we can assure you!

UK-based and clearly influenced by the Detroit sound, he manages to translate the combination of hardware & his skills for arrangement into something special.
We were already blown away by his first EP & now he did it again, even stronger.

This EP contains two must have tracks for the floor on the A-side full of 909 drums, 727 stabs, cowbells, hats & the riffs from the Alpha Juno.
The B-side gets another character, his deeper inner side where he pulls of to touch emotions in a Parellel World along side Stephen Browns take on "No Surrender".
Edinburgh finest Stephen Brown, with several releases on Djax-up Records, Transmat Records, Subject Detroit and other big labels, took it to a whole other level in his typical style. Tnx Stephen!

"No Surrender" says it all. There's no surrender to the rhythm. Straight-forward, kick in the pants, Detroit techno!

The contradiction of "Future Echo" couldn't be bigger. A big future for Binny for sure translated in a delayed riffs, brilliant arrangement of drums track.
This a must-have for every DJ who wants to demolish the dancefloor.

On the B-side, "Parallel World" shows the sensitive side of the man. Touched & filled with emotional & slightly erotic synths (beat that Marvin Gay!), this evergreen should be on your shelf! We fell in love with this one!

The "No Surrender" Remix by Stephen is the perfect extra counterbalance for the A-side.
His typical minimalistic style makes this track into a smooth DJ-tool.

Culminating the cycle of Drone Logic, Daniel Avery releases New Energy, a collection of remixes including six new reworks. Token Records' ace in the pack Ø (Phase) reshapes Naive Response into a beautifully psychedelic techno trip whilst Conforce turns the previously reflective Simulrec into a militaristic stomp aimed squarely at the floor. Further out still, ruthless noise experimentalist Powell takes a typically esoteric approach to Water Jump, leaving it just as catchy in disarray as when it was first conceived.

Turn on the strobe lights and the fog machine. shtum returns with its second record, this time by Dresden's very own Kryptic Universe. His EP comes with five cuts full of dark and gritty Future Jazz. His Techno Funk is playful as it is evocative. Just listen to the bass line in "A Light In The Box" and the appropriately titled "Critters Funk". Not to mention the crazy piano in the title song and the rather hard-hitting "Dark Sky". On top we got the mighty XDB on remix duties and his take on "Signals". Again, the illustration on the B-side label is by Aram Haydeyan.

Stephan Schindler aka Kryptic Universe aka Lockertmatik is a German electronic music producer with a preference for analogue gear. He has a distinct 90's techno and house sound signature without sounding dated or overnostalgic. After making waves on his own (vinyl only) Lockertmatik imprint, he got full recognicition through his EP on Shtum (Uncanny Valley's sublabel).

Thank something for the interweb, otherwise we might have never been able to get in touch with this obscure talent. We are proud to introduce him in our roster with this fantastic EP, showcasing all of the above mentioned. Midnight Michigan's Detroit inspired machine funk, Woodbridge St. tearjerking acid bassline & strings and, last but not least, The Riderman's fierce analogue bassline and fearless drum programming brighten the catalogue of Wolfskuil Ltd in many, beautiful ways.

Dense & Pika move back to home territory after a dalliance with other labels with their first release on their own offshoot label Kneaded Pains. 'Delta System' is classic D&P with a typically grimey warehouse feel whilst 'Mitten' is no less devastating with the lauded duo's troupes in full effect.

From Newcastle to London via the Midlands comes Tough Luck Records, a label ran by four friends - Chris Cue, REbEL, Twon and Anna Wall.Pressing vinyl as well as releasing digitally, their debut release was named "Single of the Month" by Mixmag (UK) in August 2013 and like a fine wine the label has been getting better with age. With the follow up releases also selling out, the label has featured music from Ed Davenport and The Jaydes (Bloody Mary & Attan). The last release which featured rising star Elliot Adamson, picked up DJ support from people including Ten Walls, Breach, Dan Curtain and Adam Shelton to name but a few. This new release features three original tracks from Jack Wickham who has fast been carving out a name for himself with releases on One Records, Drumma and Get Physical Music, with forthcoming releases already signed to Visionquest and Air London. UK based Jack is already getting overseas bookings in places like America and Germany, with this EP being a fine example of why people are getting excited about this talented young artist. Also featuring on the EP are three remixes from Jonny Lawrence aka REbEL, cassé and Nikola Gala.
Nikola has recently been experimenting with new production styles and already has releases on Dustin Zahn's Enemy Records and also MBR Limited, which is run by Marco Bailey.
Nikola has been breaking away from his House releases on label such as Hypercolour, Rekids and Moan Recordings to focus on making Techno.The first track titled "Adeja" is deep and chic with an overall understated and stripped back sound. Focused round a House groove it tells a moody late night tale of sweaty clubs and darkened rooms. Its looping 1 / 14 percussion has a hypnotic element brought to life by textured synth sounds, which twist and morph with the help of perfectly programmed filter sweeps. But the cherry on the cake comes in the form of a distant and softly spoken female vocal, which hidden behind muffled effects states the words "I feel it." Track two called "Raim" is another textured work of art, following in the EP's deep and understated theme. A little heavier than the first track but just as deep, it's a mood setting monster full of mystery. With a mix down that shimmers like dew drops on a sunny morning, the track has liquid qualities. A looping focal point and subtle modulation shows a perfect example of less being more, and its genre sits somewhere between House and Deep Techno. The third track on this release is the Nikola Gala remix of Adeja. Nikola, who originally broke through as a House producer, shows off his versatile production skills with this distinctly Techno remix. Firmly focused at the dancefloor, the heavy kick drum and energetic synth stabs are brought to life with the mechanical shuffle of machine like percussion. Keeping the originals deep vibes the track is packed with atmospherics and has the originals hypnotic elements which keep you coming back for more. Track four on the release is the last of the tracks which appear on both the vinyl and digital versions, as tracks five and six are both digital exclusives. The second remix of Adeja is from Jonny Lawrence aka REbEL, who as well as having music signed to Moda Black and Sasha's label Last Night On Earth, is another member of the Tough Luck team. For Jonny's remix of Adeja he tightens things up with a dominant kick drum and adds jacking percussion centred round a solid House groove. Tough and groovy his rework adds some nice variation to the release and finishes off the vinyl nicely.

Liverpool label Scenery Records continues to shine a light on local talent by next turning to Mark Forshaw for a new four track EP. Remixing is the singular Autodidakt Records boss Daniel Andreasson and once again the release showcases a gloopy, analogue heavy house and techno sounds with influences of acid and beyond. Before now Forshaw has released on labels like Mathematics, Tabernacle and Apartment and is also a member of Phantom Planet Outlaws with John Heckle and Binny. Having been involved with the Merseyside scene since the 90s and as a DJ who has locked down many a dance floor, Mark is a learned and well informed house head with plenty of say for himself. Up first, 'Peer Pressure' is a slithering bit of jacked up house music with a grubby, oscillating bassline and firmly planted kick drums. A searing acid line eventually cuts into the mix and flips and drifts about as the groove percolates below and it makes for enjoyably dark and intense listening. Daniel Andreasson remixes with his usual idiosyncratic style and layers up oodles of scuzzy sonic noise, dirt and lo fi texture on top of a swampy techno rhythm and snaking, spiralling synths. Fully dystopian in nature it makes way for the blistering stomps of bleep techno monster 'For No One'. This raw acid concoction is a broody and alarming affair that cannot fail to blow minds. Next up is the rather more lithe and elastic, hurried and energetic bit of techno minimalism that is 'Raptures'. With rubbery kicks and Rob Hood style synths is scurries from start to finish in gloopy, unhinged fashion. Lastly, 'The Push' is a prickly, fulsome brew of cowbells and claps, razor edged synths and lumpy drums that rides up and down, sticks out in many direction at once and generally does a fine job of firing your every synapse. This is another no nonsense EP from Scenery that is lovably rugged and unpredictably creative.

Hulks of heavy industry lay strewn around, primitive yet shot through with a cracked futurist vision. Red rusting mother loads could have lain there for years, a henge to post industrialism. Time to open the sluice gate and slide the fetid bulk into the bloated brine of the next high tide. Surfing out across the broth its bow breaks the water, sending a long lazy wave like treacle slapping the side of the wharf. Slaughter-phonic noises pulsate from within the lead encased carburettor. On the blistered deck great knotted balls of chain lie rusting for ever, atrophied by age and despair.

The second release of the 10inch Repitch series features on the A side for the first time a collaboration between Repitch bosses Ascion and Shapednoise after his recent debut album on Prurient's Hospital Productions, while on the B side we have a track from the other Repitch boss D. Carbone. "Basic Impact" it's the perfect combination of the gritty Shapednoise dynamics and the trip-inducing sound of Ascion. They build up a perfect, firing industrial dancefloor machine with a surprising end. On the flip, "MetemPsychosis" is a powerful, ultradark techno burner with acidic synthlines, pumping rhythms and a strong broken beat. The track gets more and more intense toward the end with a rolling distorted tom.

December is the alias of Paris based Techno producer Tomas More. Having released a slew of respected releases under his full name, Tomas is mutating his focus towards the a more experimental realm with his work as December. 'On a Leash' proceeds Tomas's sold out debut Cassette for Where To Now, and a 12' for Blackest Ever Black 'In Advance of the Broken Arm'.

December's latest offering for Where To Now explores resoundingly tuff and metallic, largely analogue sounding techno jams. In fact the lead track 'Berds' fits this bill exactly, its tightly syncopated tribalism rumbling beneath animalistic woops and cries that imbue the composition with a kind of primal urgency that hits you right in that spot where your baser urges and reactions emanate from. A preference for tight, lo-slung rhythms and snares that punch, rather than snap, is cemented in this steroidal opener.

'East' and 'West' are haunted by the spirit of '90s electronica. However these tracks don't seem so detached from the dancefloor to operate within the somewhat snobbish paradigms of the IDM tag. 'East's ring-modulated rhythms and pinging percussive blips roll with a kind of Warp-ed UK Garage feel beneath gossamer melodies until a grooving yet amorphous bass rumble nicely ties the soundboard together. 'West' has a genuinely impressive rhythmic panache to be found in the way its filtered blips and strange electro-gamelan pulses create a sub-level of rhythm around the 4/4 kicks, swipes of white noise and lo-fi claps. The strange acoustic loop that forms the basis of the track's melody is presented in all its glory as a kind of anti-drop towards the end.

Remix work for 'Berds' comes from fellow Parisian experimental visionary 'Low Jack' (In Paradisum, L.I.E.S, The Trilogy Tapes...). Low Jack transforms the direct nature of 'Berds', adding a woozy, narcotic substance to the machine-operated rhythms, creating a parallel soundworld to the original's imposing and brutalist structure. The animal cries that seemed ecstatic in the origin are pitched to a point of urgency. The jungle is ablaze, all life-forms are fleeing, it's really the end.

December has forthcoming releases scheduled for In Paradisum, Jealous God, and Blackest Ever Black.

Nearing the 2-year mark since the launch of the label, Weekend Circuit is back with undoubtedly its most accomplished release to date. Having already featured on WCR 04, providing 2 standout remixes for Coldgeist's 'Artefacts', Developer is making a return - this time presenting 'Liberation Signals', his first original work since 2014's 'In Pure Form'.

After gaining much deserved acclaim among his peers in the last decade, Developer has cemented himself as a respected name in techno and it is a great pleasure to invite him back for a rare appearance outside of the labels that have paved his path including Mote Evolver, Polegroup and his own hugely inspirational imprint - Modularz.

'Liberation Signals' has all the attributes of a trademark release from the Los Angeles based producer - fully functional for the dance floor yet still in true Developer fashion, brings a sound with a multi faced approach to production. Reaching out from main room to after-party, with an agenda-free straight up techno tactility this EP is armed with the militia required for any club eventuality, summoning energy wavered by time.

The First vinyl release from Seventyseventyone Records is a split EP featuring 4 techno tracks, each with a different, distinct feel. After a successfull last collaboration with the italian duo Lovcom Symbiostic took a further step in gathering a group of artists on their latest vinyl to capture the essence of dark and deep rolling sounds. Lovcom´s Original gets flanked by three big remixes by Brian Gros, MRDIE and SRA bringing detailed rhythmic effects, strange buzzing delays and bleeps, narcotic atmospheres and exciting interpretations in one intense package.

Following our N.d first album (Spage Age Rituals - TWL 001 on CD), we are now presenting our second vinyl, with an original from N.d and 3 tracks extracted from the Space Age Rituals album and remixed by Solenoid, VSK and Kereni ! While the album presented N.d's most experimental works, this vinyl showcases his versatile weapon, and so did the remixers: an attack team that transformed the selected album tracks from transcendent monsters into dancefloor space-crafts.

Norman presents his second Heulsuse release. Remixes are coming from Thomas Schumacher (Electric Ballroom) and the Katermukke boys Dirty Doering and Sascha Cawa.

Hailing from Taapion Records, based in Paris, France, co-label owner, Shlømo makes his debut on Wolfskuil Limited with 'Avadon' featuring a remix from none other than Antigone, one of Paris' strong contenders who is also a part of the Taapion family releasing a track on its second release as well as recent EP on Token Records.

Shlømo, a young yet accomplished artist illustrates his maturity with complex rhythms in 'Avadon Part 1' by combining soft atmospheric textures with heavy pulsating bass and driving techno essentials. Conversely on 'Avadon Part 2' similar elements translate through more erratic and express percussions to introduce spatial effervescence sparking an expressive catharsis. In the Antigone remix of 'Avadon Part 1' the original track is flipped upside down as key components are more sensitive, purified and emotional leaving a lasting impression on the listener.

Both Shlømo and Antigone demonstrate their ability to stay true to their own personal style, a very key component in progressive artists.

South London Ordnance marks his sophomore Hotflush release with an extended four-track EP that confidently flaunts his flair for brooding atmosphere.

Dark, punchy basslines informed by a distinctly UK heritage are his signature and they bind these wee-hour refrains with brassy continuity. From the futurist synthesis of lead-track 'Contact' through the jungle influences pervading 'Sabre' and 'Ritual to Romance' to the whistle-wielding 'Output', SLO's stamp is as compelling as it is surefooted.

The SUB:STANCE vinyl box set marks the 5th anniversary and final edition of the SUB:STANCE night at Berghain, marking its passing with 7 exclusive tracks by artists who have been central to its sound and prints of the legendary flyer artwork used to promote each event.
SUB:STANCE was the collision of two worlds - the vitality of UK bass music intertwined with Berghain and all its sensory exhilaration and unique atmosphere. The party started in July 2008 when an array of dubstep's finest exponents first brought the world's most exciting sound to its most talked about club. In the years that followed the concept became fully formed with curators Paul Rose (aka Scuba/ SCB) and Paul Fowler (Spymania Records) picking line-ups covering the full spectrum of the burgeoning bass music scene. Artists such as Martyn, The Bug, Joker, Pearson Sound, Mala, Gilles Peterson, MJ Cole, Mount Kimbie, Francois K, D Bridge, Tikiman live with Scion, Deadbeat and many more have produced some truly memorable events since that first fateful night.
That first SUB:STANCE party was a risk - bringing dubstep to the techno mecca of Berghain with one of the most forward thinking line-ups of that time - but it was a huge success that spawned parties across the globe. As dubstep has risen, fallen and morphed, the party has embraced bass music in many forms.
This compilation has been created especially by some of the most integral musicians to the SUB:STANCE project, all of whom have played the party on multiple occasions. It is not intended to be an exhaustive account of the musical history of the project, merely a snapshot of the experiences each artist has had being involved in the parties. The music is accompanied by the prints of all the artwork used on promotional material for the parties. This contribution from the hugely talented artists responsible was a key part of the aesthetic vision of the project

The New York based Serkal imprint have pulled off quite the coo for their 007 release by welcoming Cocoon resident Chris Tietjen to the stable. A self-confessed 'DJ more than producer', the German admits that he prefers the interaction of playing rather than the solitude of producing. A fact confirmed by his annual releases since 2008.  

Having risen through the Cocoon ranks from company intern to resident and headline DJ, Tietjen's name has become synonymous with the global brand. Chris has been the face and force behind his own series of club nights, a number of the label compilations and to date, has released all of his own material with the Frankfurt based label.

Today Chris unveils his Sumo Tek ep and joins forces with Australian producer Steve Ward on lead track 'Come On Get Ya.' With its growling bassline, perforated by rasping snare rolls and rapid percussion, the opening number sets the tone for this heads-down groove-heavy ep. 

Daniel Stefanik is on the remix delivering a deeper take on the original that is heavy on the filters, twisting the original's melody into a hypnotic lead line before taking the mix to a gritty industrial finish. Chris closes the ep with 'Rooted' and leans on the filtered melody once again as he drifts it between his marching beat work.

Returning to Wolfskuil for his third release, after his early 2013 debut on the label is Amsterdam based Doka, with a three track EP including an original production, 'Ask' and featuring two stellar, yet complimentary remixes from two Spaniards, NX1 and Aiken. Doka, following consistent in his style delivers a raw melodic track, stripped down with pounding percussions while an unrefined static dances above the beat. Barcelona-based label owners of Rising Label, NX1, manipulate the rhythm of the synth into an elegant hypnotic drive.

Alternatively, the Madrileños, Aiken, hailing from Non-Series and Semantica, gives the track a whole new flavor as a throbbing bass sends vibrations through your body while agitated chords flutter throughout the piece. All three tracks, intense and pulsating, prove to be powerful tools that can easily be thrown in to climax any set.

Well, Rivet gives us little choice, we just had to release this EP as soon as possible as it probably catches the spirit of what we consider the most relevant stuff around.

If the concept behind the Driftwood EP can be traced back to an old Swedish theater OST from the 80ies, what you get is probably Rivet's most floor bending material ever.

Filled with evil lurking storms of the most timeless kind, the journey starts with a bang as Driftwood crosses over the whole dance music spectrum, taking cues from funk, post punk, Manchester and Chicago house, certainly a challenging bridge building approach.Crane Dance follows a more sinister path with its witchy incantations carving a somewhat demonic take on house, a mesmerizing cascade of beats and eerie pads. Lastly, Line of Moments brings us some apparently more mellow grounds filled with melancholic strings soon to be revealed as deceivingly acidic chimeras.
All in all an EP that we take great pride in presenting to your ears!

Over the years, Jackson has built up an archive of over 150 unreleased tracks. for format he has carefully selected, re-edited and remastered tracks from various points through the last 15-year period to create a new body of work. touching on synth and beatbox workouts, proto-house, new wave, on italo and techno, on ambient and psychedelia, the tracks are, the same time, none of these things.
All editions are signed and numbered.

Hot on the broken heels of Nothing Left, his smash debut LP for Chicago's CLEAR records, CGI boss and Atlanta's own TWINS graces his own imprint with Never Know Yourself, a three-track EP that treats listeners to a different side of the producer's output.
A-side cut "Tassel (Now You Know)" is pure emotivational dancefloor catharsis: behold a distorted 909 chugging away under a funky FM bassline and thick pads of melancholic ghost organs while a soaring lead and a haunted croaking mantra take it all the way to tear-jerking dance floor rapture.

Flip it over to the B-side and immediately have that sorrow cleansed by the brutal assault of "Suggestion', a heavy and distorted techno bomb that's all shifting rhythmic cycles and out-of-control synth chirps, sounding like something ripped from a Frankie Bones mix circa 1992.

Closing things out is a sleazy slab of subconsciously mid-dreamstate insta-composed Chicago house ripped right out of the back of TWINS' head, and it's appropriately titled "Feeling (From Beyond)." A juicy and rotund bassline of the most evil kind holds steady as matrix-defying bongo-and-kick patterns rise and fall while whispered provocations tie it all together in a banger suited only for the stickiest of dance floors.

ACID4 is here and once again more 303 tweakers are joining the acid revolution. On the A-side we have two tracks of the intense, slightly distorted and raw quality from DJ Hi-Shock and Paul Birken, while the B-side presents us with classic Chicago influenced acid bangers by Mitaka Sound and 909State from Japan. Komisch hits 20 with the second release on the label from Bleaching Agent. Having recently sent his Blacknecks collaboration into early retirement, this UK producer is now focusing his considerable talents on this solo project . We're delighted that he has chosen to put out more material on Komisch
'Colo' starts the release with a dense, stepping rhythm and the sound of someone gasping for breath as percussive ticks lend the arrangement some impetus. When it breaks into those unmistakably murky synths, it feels like Bleaching Agent has unleashed malevolent spirits from the otherworld. US producer, who has released on L.I.E.S and Cititrax under a number of names, provides a remix of 'Colo'. He's only the second ever artist to remix a Komisch release and his version rolls to the sound of tough drums and puts the focus firmly on that eerie, wintry synth.
The final track 'Elastique' sees Bleaching Agent delve again into a murky world, inhabited by grungy beats and waves of noise - but it remains rooted on the dance floor thanks to the razor sharp percussion that slips like a garrotte around an unsuspecting victim's neck. These are dark and deadly tracks from techno's underbelly!

Silent Steps is back on wax with a sixth opus written and produced by Impact Unit that are no one else than Luis Flores & Material Object who teamed up to create two outstanding tracks.

Luis Flores is well known to be one of the Techno highlights in Mexico, and part of the L.A based label Droid. For this project, he joins the Berlin based musician and producer Material Object, a real analog sound lover, gear collector and experimental music maker, that has made music for about two decades and has recently collaborated with some of the most recognized Techno or Electronic Music producers such as Pete Namlook, Tim Xavier, Drumcell or even Dustin Zahn.

Two very interesting tracks came out from this collaboration. The first one "Trauma" is what we could call an offbeat track, with a huge atmospheric work, but that still fits great to the dancefloor with it's intense analog percussions that hits and creates a groovy flow with energy.
The second original work "Tremor" is a piece of 4/4 raw Techno. The element that stands out the most is a massive hypnotic and really mind tripping analog synth loop that brings to the track something special with a very own identity, and that is pushed by ryhtmics combinations of hats and percs.

On the B side you can find out two remixes of the track "Trauma".
First one is from the very well known producer from Argentina Mr Pfirter who delivers here a real pounding and intense mix, pushing original elements as their best. Pfirter already started playing his remix at gigs and with awesome reactions from the crowd.


The second remix and last track of the release has been made by Octave the owner of the label. He worked it out in a straight, but deeper way, with a huge atmosphere and deep and raw low frequencies. He used percs elements to create a different groove and added a little analog element to bring it

This EP from LaChriz represents very well his style of lovely techno and drives us through an amazing journey. We recognize his energy, complexity and grooves. Mario Zenker's remix bring some deepness and evilness to the EP, rough and beautiful track, at the same time.

The mythic Mike Parker is welcomed to Balans, making his debut on the label with a four-track EP exemplifying his abstract style of eccentric analog resonance.
'Transgression and Punishment', characteristic of Parker's classic fluctuating rhythms he explores soundscapes in experimentalism.
'Smoke from Burning Fields' conversely opens with a solid striking bassline making this track highly suitable for a damp and dark dancefloor amongst its hypnotic drive.
On the flipside, 'The Freezing Process' dives deep into the unknown where frequencies, submerged underwater, travel through the unfamiliar depths of the deep dark sea. To close out the EP, 'The Midnight Zone' is launched into ceaseless high-pitched oscillations, with a marching beat propelling the mind into an unconscious mesmerizing state.
The perpetually seductive Mike Parker delivers a remarkable performance with this solid fourtrack addition to the Dutch label Balans Records, continuously known for delivering modern classics.

Keeping the very strong CP10's pace, the 11th installment is again one
for the techno purists that like their music deep and dark. The A-side
opens up with 'Diutisk' by the Dutch Pjotr G and his mate Dubiosity.
Their original is a banging affair, containing pulsating, throbbing
synthlines and just the kind of energy for those peaktime moments. Their
track scores a pretty exclusive and rare Dimi Angelis & Jeroen Search
remix. Well known for their sound on the infamous A&S records, they
deliver the goods here as well, as their remix was already played by
Jeff Mills and charted by Jonas Kopp.

The B-side has another very talented guy at the controls; Patrick
Krieger. The original mix of 'Access' has some nifty-used percussion
sounds leading in to a droning and haunting chord stab, while also
keeping the energy pace high. Expect a lot to come from this guy! The
remix duties for 'Access' are taken care of by Donor, who takes
Krieger's elements and delves even deeper into hypnotic-techno-land.
With every passing second, the track is growing on you, which closes the
CP11 package, and, again, makes it one not to be missed.

Simon Baker launches his own BKR Projekt with a bang, showcasing his versatile style with three stripped back & rolling techno tracks! Hand-stamped & limited to 200 copies.

Paul Woolford's Special Request moniker was launched in March 2012 via a self-released white label 12'. A shrewd merging of UK house and pirate radio beamed jungle trends, the 12' showcased Woolford's blend of infectious, rave tunes could sit in all kinds of sets, from 120bpm techno to 170bpm drum & bass. To date there have been four Special Request transmissions; released only on vinyl, they've all since long sold out.

The project captures and distils the energy and unruly conventions of the UK's pirate radio stations, using that DIY/anything and everything goes approach as a springboard and an inspiration for a series of productions that amply blazed through chaotic, eye of the storm jungle tearouts as well as they did through hard and heavy, darkside techno.

'Wall To Wall' merges the jacking tradition of Chicago with the UK's love affair with sub-bass, whilst 'Broken Dreams' brings up to date the music post-rave period, when the ecstasy rush of rave began to fade into the more oppressive, drum-and-bass-driven hardcore that would give a whole genre its identity. Meanwhile, two of the most exciting names to recently break onto the electronic music scene, Anthony Naples and Lee Gamble, offer respectively dense and spacious interpretations of 'Mindwash' and 'Capsules'.

The first new issue from the Body Boys since 2013's Growth Window (though they've been a remix streak in 2014), and it sees the lads move their soft-skinned ambience into new rhythm-focused territory. Its no total-rewrite, but more than before the palette seems akin to the elegant stance of Dial, Latency, or Delsin's softer moments - billowy, romantic, occasionally haunted texture enveloping low-end centred drums. Tracks like First Time' and Nosebleed' come hotter and heavier, more over-driven and rampantly techno focused, whilst Alone', Yunnan' and Stutter' balance rhythm with their skill for billowy and highly evocative soft texture that teases out a solemnity and introspective beauty to massage the body as well as the soul.

Following on from the acerbic 'Sylvester Stallone / Smut' double A-side released earlier this year, the new single continues to blur the lines between contemporary club music, punk and forward-thinking computer acid. Describing the music is a challenging prospect... but dancing to it isn't.

Both as an artist in his own right and through the music released on his own label Diagonal, Oscar Powell has established himself among this decade's most singular, exciting artists. The music is tough, but always playful.

BATS: This track looks at you with gleeming eyes. Bats are all around you, driving you nuts, whilst the beat starts thumping. You try to fight you way out of this nightmare but the only escape is to sync your movements to the pulse.
MODAL: Circles are my favourite shape, since they never end, i can look at them forever This track sees Aggborough introduce harmony to carry the emotionality of the vocal delivered. The journey ends in a crazy explosion of sound and repetition, mirroring the mind of the vocalist.

Felix Bernhard, King of - Abfahrt' comes around with a new album. The long player is called 'Two Dot One' or simply 2.1 and will be released on Thomas P Heckmann's cult label AFU resp. AFU Lab. TDO is the second LP after 'Durch und Durch' of this pleasant guy from a German region called 'Westerwald'. He lives an easy-going life in the remote tranquillity of his home country. Felix will never lose his good mood, even if telephone or internet service have their infrequent outages. And it is exactly this mood which he spreads to the crowd during his highly celebrated live performances. It is extremely important for him that people can really rock and are fascinated during his live acts of which each is supposed to be an unique experience for the party-lunatics out there. Just hitting the play-button is simply too boring. Moreover, Felix appreciates and enjoys the contact to his fans and puts a lot of effort in to stay in touch with them which results in his fans celebrating frenetic and crazy parties with him.

Two Dot One will surely cause some sweaty club nights. There is no reason for Felix to hide himself for his music since Felix and his sound have matured and are 'grown up' by now. He has created his very own sound and celebrates it in perfection. Somewhere between Techno and Minimal although hard to define and not suitable to be put in any kind of box. You could even call it the 'Felix Bernhardt' sound.
Quite playful but always very impulsive and dancefloor-orientated. With TDO he delivers 11 tracks which will work at any time. Moreover for 'warm ups' at home or for your next after hour, these tracks will surely provide a lot of fun.

Sicherlich wird auch Two Dot One wieder für schweißtreibende Clubnächte sorgen. Denn musikalisch braucht sich Felix schon lange nicht mehr verstecken. You can feel the positive vibes and energy emitted by Felix . He is a true perfectionist with a lot dedication for each and every detail. His music might be 'minimal' but is never simple or without love. Every track has been polished down to the very last detail. You can feel that Felix does never mind going the extra mile and takes as much time for each track as it needs to become perfect.

Proper destroyer," is what somebody said and it's probably the best description you'll hear for this new Syncom Data release. Syncom Data teams up with Finnish/Dutch vocalist Saara Soini for "Rumpukone". Inspired by "Me and My Rhythm Box" from the 1982 film "Liquid Sky", Saara Soini delivers a powerful vocal performance on razorsharp beats and acidic textures by Syncom Data. Drenched in shuffling machine distortion "Rumpukone" marches merciless on funky boots through moist and dark techno cellars. There's an instrumental as well, but it's all about the vocal version... In "Space Madness" Syncom Data works with Mystica Tribe from Japan, who had several records released on their label. His echoing layers of dubby melodica blend perfectly with the La Haye style beats and crashing effects by Syncom Data. Don't be fooled that it's on the b-side, this one's a sneaky winner as well.

LTD ed. 12" release by new artist Cygnus. Cygnus hails from the southern US and upon listening to his music for the first time, one would think he is a distant relative of the late James Stinson of Drexciya. Cygnus' first release came by way of the digital label, ICASEA and has received praise in experimental/IDM circles. Two of the songs featured on the digital release are presented here on this limited release showcasing the expertly crafted sound design and Detroit inspired sounds of a young talent who will surely be one to watch for in the near future.

Chicago's Trax Records has gone down in history as being one of, if not the most important House labels.

Boom! This is the collaboration we all have been waiting for. Audio Werner & Jichael Mackson teamed up for these massive bass-driven floorburners. The A-side 'Volt' comes as dedicated buzzer with heavy sub-bass. Make sure you'd be only playing this one on systems which are able to take the extra boost. The B-Side 'Schlamm' is a loose tribal groove adding an extra dose of rough echo and dub effects.

Tattoo and street artist by day, techno producer when dusk hits, the multi talented Andreas Andreasson AKA diagenetic Origin returns to Sonic Groove for his annual installment of heavy, deep and diligent techno.
With the, Golden Age EP', the Berlin-based producer showcases a diverse collection of moody cuts, from the futuristic longings of the rhythmically challenging 'Telepathic Future' to the deep cavernous percussion workout of 'The Awakening'. Drawn out aerial melodies are both supported and shattered by Andreas' penchant for heavy primal drum programming, serving as a reminder of his formative years spent drumming for punk and hardcore bands in Sweden. Spanning the depth and breadth of the techno scale, 'Golden Age' commands attention and adds to his consistently qualitative output on Sonic Groove.

Twelve minutes of blissful melody, hypnotic drums and quaking bass, in Florian Meyer's fresh mix-up of West African polyrhythms with the sensibilities of classic US minimalism.
Jordan GCZ from Juju & Jordash edges his remix into the outlands of free jazz, with pulsating bass drum and spiritual synths, like Terrence Dixon beaming down from Saturn.

Gynoid Audio, one of the few female labels around, started her course in 2010. She's now one of the most prolific labels when it comes to a variety of functional Techno, with focus on drive, mood, dirt and depth. The amount of well-established veterans (both old and new) who released or remixed for the label, or newcomers who saw their career start on Gynoid, is impressive. It also describes why its one of the most charted labels in it's field of operation. To celebrate the mains series 100th release and the continuance of the label we decided to preset a massive VA compilation spanning over three releases. Recorded Live in Slovenia on March 30th 2013 this double CD release captures John laying down an intense peak time set spread over 2 cd`s, Featuring 27 tracks of techno and tech house including the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Booka Shade, Boys Noize, Josh Wink, Len Faki, Deetron and Pig&Dan to name a few.

ETHER003 is a four track release by Helsinki based DJ/Producer Kitkatone. The release includes two original tracks with two remixes by techno masters Woo York and Attemporal. Starting off the release, A1, 'Oppressor', is a slightly old school tune - raw and beautiful blend between House and Techno. The following 'Woo York Remix' turns the track to a ruthless techno beast with a hint of industrial vibe. B1, 'Remainder', presents a darker atmosphere with crude and fierce banging and mid-winter gloominess. The closing track 'Attemporal Remix' brings in a deep and spacey brooding, bonding the release into an extremely sterling techno pack.

Markantonio can rightly be described as one of Italys true Techno titans, working tirelessly as he has since the late nineties to bring the tougher side electronic music into the light. Recording for labels such as Marco Carolas Design Music, Billy Nastys Tortured Records and Umeks Recycled Loops, Markantonio has spent the last 16 years on the cutting edge of quality Techno but it was with the launch of his Analytic Trail imprint in 2001 that he perhaps truly came into his own.
The label became a hotbed for emerging and established names as Markantonios own productions sat alongside releases from the likes of Jospeh Capriati, Davide Squillace, Rino Cerrone, & Paco Osuna. Away from the studio he established himself as a global DJ, taking his own unique sound on to the road, across Europe and beyond and garnering fans wherever he went.
Now the Naples based DJ/producer has distilled his near 2 decades of experience into this, his debut album. Musichemistry is a relective work that draws inspiration from the artists musical beginnings. Taking its cues from his formative experiences as a DJ and even earlier as a younger sibling influenced by his brothers weekend party preparations, the album explores, as the title suggests, the chemical influence that music has on the brain.
Opening with the downtempo, left of center title cut Musichemistry its clear from the off that Markantonio is here to offer more than a straight up techno selection. The first portion of the album explores the producers lighter side, twisting from the opener into the house tinged offerings of True Story, Brain Training and Does Not Exist.
From here on in the sound morphs into a rolling ride of tech fuelled beats and speaker rattling basslines. Tracks such as Carny and Abduction explore the deeper side of techno, whilst the likes of Last Way and Yho are floorfilling monsters that are sure to take the roof off.
Throughout the selection Markantonios open minded production proclivites rein, with subtle melodic elements, ethereal pads and understated percussive elements rubbing shoulders with tough stabs and brutal kick drums, he is undoubtedly an artist with an incredible musical pallette at his disposal.

The 3rd edition of the Modeselektor curated "Modeselektion" series will be released as a 3 way vinyl pack. It comes with an LP and 2EPs that are filled to the brim with exciting exclusive material from the hyperactive duo's favourites and a few very special newcomers.

The second installment of the Modeselektions EPs has a slightly more four to the floor flavored temper and also comes down more heavy on the vocal side.

Monkeytown's own Alex Banks delivers the energetic technoid "Be the One" featuring dubbed out vocals by Elisabeth Bernholz, his Beth Gibbons-esque collaborator. French beat wizard Onra's "Blast" is slightly more Hip Hop flavoured and his fresh faced interpretation of a straight beat is the only instrumental on this E.P.

German house hero Henrik Schwarz adds a touch of pop to this record, his " We are bankrupt" is essentialy a song written to swing on the dancefloor and this might as well become the hymn of the financial crisis and this summer's festivals.

The last track on the EP features a special cooperation between Brandt Bauer Frick, Vic Mensa and Om´mas Keith. "Jungle Love" is a genre defying dark bender of a song that jams all over Hip Hop, Techno, Soul, Swing and Noise.

For Pan-Pot's second release on their new imprint they fall nothing short of what you would expect from the infamous duo. Grey Matter is a stormer made especially for the intense peak time strobe lights of a dark sweaty club. The pulsing stabs and swelling bass in combination with the rolling hi-hats and shakers keep the energy flowing upward. Don't let the word grey in the title fool you, this track is more a burning red. Just like the deep ominous vocal says, "We're burning"!
On the flip side is 'Substance' and with this one, Pan-Pot showcase their vast knowledge of what tension can do on the dance floor. From beginning to end, it teases with builds that never quite go over the edge. Constantly increasing, it creates the desire for just a little more while never giving you the satisfaction of a resolution. It's a concept that only masters can make work and when it does, it's nothing short of brilliant.

Distant is Rebekah's 2nd release on CLR, after the success of her first Cycles EP back in 2013, the long awaited second single Distant is veering towards a deeper side of this Artist's repertoire. Rebekah has been pushing her sound forward in the studio and has in the last year worked more and more with analogue synths and sequencers which is evident in the title track. Opting for a more broken beat and using a vast palette to create a soundscape that keeps the groove moving forward, which opens up with darker pads, maintaining the mood and feel. Distant Memory takes sounds from the original track and shapes it into something slightly different and unpredictable by Rebekah, showcasing a completely new element of this artists work. Its downtempo and slightly experimental but also warm and inviting. Synchronicity lifts up the pace and is a full out techno groove workout, Rebekah's signature kicks come in to play but is almost more elegant here, complimenting the Distant pieces but also holding its own within the more discerning of dance floors. STERAC has produced two fantastic remixes of the title track Distant, remix 1, is more of a groovier exploration where as remix 2 (digital only), leans to the more hypnotic side, both remixes are outstanding as expected from STERAC aka Steve Rachmad, modern techno at its best.

The legendary Tony Rohr graces Phobiq with his presence and offers two tracks alongside his new partner-in-crime Layton Giordani. The EP starts out with the sparse arrangement of "Careless Suggestions", driven by a locomotive bassline and grinding rhythm section. Moody stabs reinforce the bleak vibe, and the vocals coming at us from otherworldly black holes only add to the mood. Label boss Sasha Carassi steps up for the remix in his trademarked stomping style, making use of hypnotic elements and the busy claps from the original. Industrial-sounding hi-hat action drives his interpretation all the way home, after an apocalyptic breakdown, of course. On "Reggae Shiz" things are more stripped-down with bare drums holding everything together, as the rest of the arsenal slowly builds around menacing chords and a rocksteady groove. Behind the spotlight, liquid bass comes together with quirky percussion to complete this almost-10-minute-long opus. Dema maintains a sublime, shadowy mood in his version but opts for busier hats and heavier usage of chords.

Somewhat mystifyingly, Appleblim has throughout his career remained one of the great unsung artists to emerge from Bristol's late-noughties golden era of producers. His collaboration with Ramadanman on 'Void 23' remains a club staple, his work with Komon mines the deeper shades of house, while he touches on tightly woven techno with Peverelist on 'Over Here'. A defiantly singular producer, Appleblim's latest for Tempa is a three tracker that opens with the idiosyncratic 'Avebury', whose momentum builds steadily towards the track's apex before a rude bassline plunges the skittering keys into a deep, measured lull.  The 12's centerpiece is its most challenging offering, with the almost ten minute 'Wandered' not possessing a kick of any sort, but instead chooses to bubble menacingly under the surface for the duration, recalling some of Actress' more thought provoking work. The greyscale 'Auburn Blaze' rounds off an eclectic selection of tracks that as a whole feel most at home reverberating off the walls of a dank south London club, or on the night bus home across a buzzing metropolis.

Unlike previous releases from the label, One Eight Four sees Untzz Twelve Inch really find it's stride and has struck gold with this record that showcases a glowing Adelaide culture.

All tracks were recorded and mixed at One Eight Four, an institution of hedonist lifestyle in Adelaide.

Michael Jansons and REbEL reveal their mechanical hearts with their 'Built By Robots' EP, which has its sights aimed firmly at the future. Jansons has already made his mark on Lower East with two already cult slices of modern day house, the anthemic 'I Know You're Feeling Ok' and the more recent club hit 'Addiction'.

Meanwhile our protege REbEL has been going from strength to strength since his debut on the label with the Hearing Voices EP. He's made the move to London, from his native Leicester, and set up his own imprint Tough Luck. With 'Built by Robots' the twosome combine their talents to create a dub-tinged, technoid affair with flecks of acid, Detroit techno and plenty of soul and funk.

Lead track 'Changin'' is an emotive slice of warm, groovy house with a dub techno heartbeat. The razor sharp percussion cuts through a glowing chorus of pads and a bubbling bassline that dominates the bottom end.

As the track evolves a few subtle elements creep in, adding depth and texture - hints of a vocal tease in and out of the background before it unfurls fully, giving the track its soulful element.

Before we know it a breakdown gives us a short, euphoric breather and the track continues to play on.

This track comes in both vocal (digital only) and trimmed down dub (vinyl only) versions.

'Hier' is a far naughtier outing for the duo, oozing sleaze. A sensual overtone prevails throughout with a hushed female vocal working off the pulsating b-line. Again, the percussive elements are razor sharp and provide the track's driving force, wait for the breakdowns - epic is putting it lightly. Finally 'Tronme' takes us into the acid zone with its squelching 303 stabs and an earth-shattering build-up.

The track opens up with just a beat, as it grows and mutates that acid line begins to make its presence felt, the tension builds and builds until we finally get that oh-so-satisfying and familiar bleep. Aciiiieeeeed!

Legendary electronic pioneer Gerald Donald of Dopplereffekt and Drexciya returns with an incredible four track EP under his Der Zyklus guise.

Released in collaboration with Zone Records, and pressed onto vinyl with glow-in-the-dark cover artwork and limited to just 300 copies, this is set to become a much prized collectors must-have.

It is fair to say Donald is an electro pioneer, godfather and leading figure in electronic music. The Detroit artist, who took inspiration from the likes of Kraftwerk and Yellow Magic Orchestra went on to form his own uniquely experimental sound and would inspire a generation of techno and electro producers with his boundary pushing attitude.

Introducing the new vinyl only label, Public System Recordings, co run by Matthieu Foltyn and Eric Strykert. The first release is a split series Ep from DJ Spider and Grey People. Starting off the EP; DJ Spider's 'Mind Field' offers a percussive drum riff, warm synths, and a slight off beat rhythmic intensity that moulds together perfectly. Next on Spider's side is 'Demon Seed ' an intense journey utilizing deep stabbing Kicks, delayed snares, whistling synths, and finishes with a soft subtle chant. Polish resident Lutto Lento follows up his debut 12' for Charles Drakeford's 'FTD' label with this 6 track EP 'Whips' for 'Where To Now' Records.

Lutto's sound places him as quite a unique figure in modern electronic music, showing a fearless work ethic in shrouding his productions in saturated tape loops, and achieving what is certainly a low-fi quality to his sound, Lutto manages to never let this lo-fi edge take centre stage - instead this expertly crafted process of tape cutting and looping provides the backdrop to Lutto's exuberantly crafted yet absolutely dance floor orientated drum work.

'Marabut' & 'Vengo' pair similar 2 note drones with dissimilar intricate rhythmic backings. On 'Marabut' the church organ like chords quake over layers of metallic percussion hits, hissing hi hats and clattering cymbals whilst 'Vengo's drums have far more of a low swung swagger, where sweet string melodies with eerie atonal elements help draw you deep into the loops... when something rattles too-close to your ear and the aura of the track switches up to become a chilling experience.

'Whips' whirls us away from the spook of 'Vengo' into an ecstasy-induced autobahn fever dream, careering down a ps2 animated, neon delineated racetrack with the radio pelting soothingly lucid disembodied vocals that drift the vehicle of your consciousness from lane to lane. 'Whips' is perhaps the most visceral of productions here, where Lutto's use of the layered sounds of crashing cars create's a unique and twisted combination of both euphoria and destruction.
'Amarea' is the most febrile piece, operating on a more guttural and obvious dancefloor level, a downcast mutation of the same feeling that drives you to whip out Dance Mania records at 5am. A beat that draws you to the offbeat and keeps you poised amid barked vocals and booming kicks.

'Outro' perhaps serves to encompass all that Lutto is about, where frantic tape cuts simmer over a hazy world of cosmic Laraaji esque experiments and beat work, and a vocal sample that perhaps nods towards Lutto's use of found sound and manipulation to aid his musical vision, it laments 'I live on an island... it is usually very warm... sometimes we go on picnics...and eat fruits and vegetables from our garden...mmmm...mmmmm'

As Sure As Night Follows Day is Russell Haswell's landmark second album for London's Diagonal Records. Consolidating a quarter-century at the coal face of extreme computer music, techno and death metal in 19 tracks and 49 minutes, it's Haswell's most coherent yet varied burst of activity to date — zigzagging from improvised n0!se outbursts and asphyxiated R&B to a brace of thundering acid bullets that positively froth for the 'floor.The album was extracted over a fast-working period in late 2014, and is best perceived as a sort of fractured regression to his formative influences: you can hear the picnoleptic recollections of grindcore shows in the Black Country, the refracted shades of mega-raves at Coventry's Eclipse, the conflating toxic texture-memories of early Japanese noise, and the incandescent stomp of Mills and Hood in that early 90s phase.Fortunately for the ravers, this album includes some of Haswell's most direct dance floor attacks to date. 'Hardwax Flashback', for instance, finds him in pure tekno panik mode — a four-to-the-floor wrecking ball groove that someone, somewhere, may even be able to mix. 'Gas Attack' distils his penchant for all things Belgium into a vicious strain of New Beat lactic acid. Haswell then doffs his cap to Detroit electro legends Drecxiya on 'Underwater Electronic Struggle' — a story goes that he once thrashed a jet-ski all over the Mediterranean while listening to 'Wave Jumper' in his 'phones — before he does the salty freestyle electro flex 'ting on 'Industry Knowledge (For Oscar)' while reminding his trusty apprentice, Powell, that he still has a lot to learn. In between these 'floor-flexers, we find more freakish disturbances and intrusive drum-box improvisations: the modular mind-floss of 'Rave Splurge Noise' or 'Noise Rave', for instance, or the self-explanatory 'Improvisation #1'. 'In The AirToday' investigates warehouse-ready electro-acoustic percussion, while the chaotic clusters of 'Interlude' swarm and invade your senses with psychoacoustic incision. This is Diagonal and Russell at their most f**ked up and fizzy, and an important reminder of the artist's stream-of consciousness genius — and the pressing need for more chaos and unpredictability in electronic music today.

Ssaliva hails from the historic city of Liège in the Francophone, Walloon part of Belgium. Formerly, he has released music under the monikers Cupp Cave and François Boulanger on labels such as Leaving Records (Stones Throw) and Vlek. This album shifts between two poles. The track Guilt might be the prime answer of the first: simple, though intricately beautiful, chopped-off melodies chasing each other through different octaves. Vntitled is the clearest example of the other: soothing ambient synth phrases in an ever-slightly-changing repetition. How sweet it is to be acoustically disoriented. All this accounts for the album's surprisingly gripping sensitivity, its strong emotional cargo. From the gentle offbeat strokes of the first track to the haunting Who Then Now with its incessant screeching wobbling around, the listener is confronted with joy, solace and sadness. Structurally Be Me could sound like a succession of Indian raggas - albeit very short ones - with the first four tracks associated to the daytime (sunrise, noon, afternoon, late evening) and the remaining tracks with the nighttime (until the break of day). Dream Dive (track 4) is the first to introduce minor chords, classically linked to melancholy, while the electronic sea crashing onto the shore from tracks 2 and 3 is still there, but much calmer now, and ephemeral wind chimes play hide and seek in the ambient sky. After the volta, the next track, Staves, introduces a totally different pallette with the album's first bass sound, electronic water trickling down somewhere, and what sounds like metal works going on a yet much lower level than the basement you've just arrived at.

Anything worth doing is worth doing Real. "Do Real" is classic peaktime Thomas Schumacher and the follow up to this year's "Fangbanger" single. It is the final track Thomas recorded for this album "Stand Up" due for release on his label Electric Ballroom in February 2013. If you're gonna do it, do it Real.

The curatorial direction Appleblim has always chosen to take with Apple Pips is rooted in his DJ sets, testing tracks to the nth degree
and searching for those cuts which engender the desired emotional response in the club. Arkist's 2011 banger Rendezvous held
plenty of that weight in its original form, and it wasn't long before Scuba wanted to get his hands on the parts for a more house-
minded revision in line with his SCB output.
Kept as a secret weapon of 'Blims ever since it was first crafted, Scuba's DJ Kicks mix in 2012 finally brought about a public airing of
his own edit. With the dust settled on that particular chapter, it's only fitting that this rock solid interpretation receives a full vinyl
release over which the eight minutes of poised keys, unflinching bass and swelling atmospherics can prowl undisturbed.
For the flip, we're let in on a particularly enlightening update that takes the temperature of Scuba's SCB productions at this moment
in time. His 2013 Dub adopts a darker tone, slowly
growing into a taut monster of submerged techno. After the audacious ripples of snare drum that make up the breakdown, the full
meat of the track is revealed in a blur of acidic intensity, giving way to abandon where before there had only been the suggestion of it.
Honed for the club and thoroughly road tested, these remixes plunge Arkist's production into wholly new territory while highlighting
Scuba's considerable instinct for hypnotic,

Back onboard the Crosstown Rebels mothership with some serious dancefloor business, Venezuelan duo Fur Coat deliver three of their most accomplished tracks to date with the 'Berlin Chronicles EP'.

This three track of dancefloor dynamite features the momentous 'Pankow' on the A Side, a fitting techno tribute to the borough of Berlin. On the flip and we ascend into the heavens with the inspiring 'Banhof' and finally we follow up with the magnificent 'Seven'.

Hard working and passionate, Fur Coat have had a string of successful releases since they first came onto the scene on the likes of Hot Creations, Bpitch Control and of course Crosstown Rebels. Unearthed and championed by original Rebel Damian Lazarus, the duo released their impressive debut album 'Mind Over Matter' on the label in 2012.

Since the album dropped, the pair has been called upon to rework legends such as Timo Maas & Robert Owens as well as hot newcomers Kidnap Kid & Joy Wellboy. Remixes are also forthcoming for Stephan Bodzin on Systematic and Ruede Hagelstein on Watergate.

Last year saw the talented duo appear at No.66 in RA's Top 100 DJs chart and 2015 is set to be another big year with an upcoming Balance compilation, alongside a massive worldwide tour and some very special projects that are yet to be revealed.

AUS Music continue their expeditious release schedule and follow up records from DJ T., Youandewan and Geeeman with another addition to the label from Saints & Sonnets boss Michael Dodman a.k.a Huxley. Dutch powerhouse Creme Organization started a brand new label entitled Jericho One. The man behind the first EP is Berlin based Brit BNJMN, who has released on label like Delsin and Rush Hour and has a strangely melodic, lo-fi sound. Opener 'Skur' is a hurried techno jam with frosty textures and bleak industrial vibes. It sets the vibe for the total feeling of the EP which is way more floor facing compared to BNJMN's earlier productions. This is a truly out there and wild EP that once again finds BNJMN experimenting on the outer fringes of the techno world in his own unique, distorted way.
