Classicworks show no sign of slowing down- and their latest release,is perhaps their most high energy statement to date. Label boss Nehuen and frequent Classicworks collaborator Nick Hook join forces on this EP for an unrelenting, dancefloor-directed homage to the hard house productions of labels such as Underground Construction and Dance Mania,infused with the playfulness and sophisticated production trickery for which these two are now notorious.

'How Y'all Feeling' opens the A-side, matching steamroller sized kick drums against drug-activating vocal samples, crisp 909 hi hats and claps, punctuated by intense funk stabs and wavy analogue synth breakdowns.

'Work This Pussy' sees the EP step up in velocity, where minimal melodies play against some serious, speaker pumping kicks, playful toms and cheeky vocal cut ups that wouldn't sound out of place on a DJ Funk mixtape.

Complimenting the B-Side is fellow label head Cardopusher's 'E-rave '93' Remix of 'How Y'all Feeling', which strips back the four to the floor pummel of the original to an early 90's jungle / hardcore shuffle.

Auden's third EP sees the shadowy producer stride familiar lengths of eclecticism while dipping into fresh sources of inspiration.

The title track yearns for the glory days of UK Rave with its sunrise chords overlaying broken beats and drops of acid. The homage is all but shorn on Alan Fitzpatrick's remix as he contemporises it into a techno bomb with a breakdown to remember. Flexing typical versatility, 'Simmer Down' provides the counterpoint with rolls, bounces and jacks in equal measure while 'Sewer System' rounds off the EP in a blissed-out discordant ambience.

Ben Cohen is a French DJ based in Paris. He started to play music at the end of the 90's and produces undefined house/techno with esoteric references invoking the hazy contours of the ever mystical inner zones. He has released two EPs on the French label Badance and recently Voyage to Rahoz on Bliq. His first appearance on DBA was on the various artists excursion DAB019.5.

Elektrax label founder DJ Hi-Shock's new vinyl, called 'The Travelers'sees the light of day on a nifty Darknet 12". The package contains 2 strong originals for the floor, an always delivering Audio Injection remix and a more spacy dub mix of the title track.

'Surface Tension' fits perfectly in the tooled up, loopy techno-archives we all came to love so much recently. A hypnotizing beat and bassline combo make this the perfect track to layer 2 or 3 more decks upon.

'The Travelers' takes things into a more peaktime-level, fading in its synth hook early and thus instantly giving the track it's own unique
face. Intelligent and carefully thought out breaks and synth automation, make sure this track gets the crowds fists up more than once during its running time. Perfect track to get things sweaty!

On the B-side, we start off with the Audio Injection remix of 'Surface Tension'. It contains all the right elements which make Audio Injection such a sought-after remixer, while also implementing a bit of stylish twists concerning his well known alias Truncate.

Finally, the Dub mix of Surface Tension, named 'Surface Dub', takes things onto a more deep route, jabbing around chord stabs and sweet
reverb work, showing us having to be opening DJ doesn't always have to be a bad thing.

This elementary impulse is an audible impact in the shape of three outstanding tracks by the close environment of the Questo family. The A-side is dedicated to two young producers from the south-west corner of Germany. Known for his sense in minideeptech-sounds, KONRAD DYCKE wallows intimate melodic parts on his subtracted, but deep-waven textures in 'MESPILUS'. Humming with round-framed pillars, that reaching the sphere irresistibly, is Parquet Rec. member MANDIBULA's sort to catch the groove of the 'COSMIC DROP'. But these both rill-filler are more or less the trailblazers for the long runner on B, made by the artificer himself - FRANCESCO BALLATO. Better you fasten your seat belt before the unholy basses in a distinctive way changes your level of consciousness to unimagible highness. 'No Tag No Food' is the third 12-inch from Philadelphia-based artist M//R (Magnetic Resonance) and his first on Details Sound. After releasing 2014's well-received 'Gathering Response Data EP' on Great Circles imprint and a single on Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S., M//R is back with a strong bundle of four tracks, steadily making his mark on the scene of contemporary techno.
This record is a proper electronic weapon, from the slowed down pounding impulse of total burner 'No Tag No Food' to the suspended rhythm of atmospheric 'Idyll' which brings the listener into a gravity-free dimension.

Idriss D and Fabrizio Maurizi welcome back to their label Francesco Bergomi (a.k.a. F.Bergomi) and Rush. As eclectic as ever, the iconic Memento Records takes its music catalog one step further with this split Ep, featuring 4 off-the-wall tracks that stand out as some of the most uncompromising ever released on its roster. Gianni Sabato and Alfredo Caforio have been producing collectively as Rush their own Southern Italy influenced abstract house and techno for quite some time now. One of their previous tracks was included in Cassy's Cocoon Heroes Mix, giving the duo international exposure and wide acclaim. Francesco Bergomi releases on Dubfire's groundbreaking SCI+TEC Digital Audio and his music has been played and charted by some of the top djs wolrdwide. Rush's "Raw" is built around a percussive pattern and features a whole array of claps and cow bells that flow along spaced out noises, atmospheric pads and quirky vocals, while 'Quorum"'s orgy of galloping chords is a mind trip. Francesco Bergomi's "Black Ice"'s dark melodies and dub vibes sneak in at 122 bpm, slowing down the pace to an obscure and lurking rhythm, with creeping analog progressions and eerie spectral sounds; "Bodies"'s heavy drums boast open right into your face, and the exploding bass line kicks in like a mammoth low frequencies beast. Subion is a project from the minds of Pier Giuseppe Mariconda and Nicola Virnicchi, that was created at the beginning of 2013. A 4 hands music project combining digital technologies and analog machines on both live performances and productions. Subion sound move beyond the borders of dance floor concept producing a dark techno and mental sound. An electronic concept mixing deep roots with esoteric sounds, psychedelic
dub, ambient and drone. The boundaries of classic clubbing techno are transformed and reshaped into new forms placed beyond the borders of sounds including shades coming from contemporary trials.

Electric Ballroom ushers in 2014 with I'LL DO YOU. Written and produced by Thomas Schumacher and his partner in crime Caitlin. I'LL DO YOU pays homage to mid-90's Drum n Bass/Jungle licked into present day relevance by Thomas Schumacher and his cohort. Inspired by a London-Berlin axis where Dub Step, House and Techno intertwine I'LL DO YOU exposes how these dark brothers of Electronic Dance Music spawn.

Hot Creations artist du jour Mineo delivers a cheeky, british interpretation with his trademark hooky, thumping basslines and unexpected twists and turns.

Newcomers Turbo Turbo bring it with an Elektro-esque, some may even say Acidic take on Thomas Schumachers original.

15 West 127th has a big, booming kick, a hypnotic vocal sample and is based around a vintage synth sequence and a classic Chicago "clap-on-the-one" groove.

A fresh voice in UK techno arrives on Hotflush with a four-track debut that brandishes range and dynamics. Unsullied atmospherics, large-scale techno, acid, dub and two-step comprise the story arc here; disparate elements woven through by the coherence of a singular vision. This is Auden.

Jaunt Records is the new project from the team behind the Jaunt parties. For their first release, they call on two of their residents, Blackhall and Bookless, who bring the heat in their own inimitable way. The Se7en EP is a release that's every bit as refined as you'd hope for, while the remixes - from none other than Fred P AKA Black Jazz Consortium and Ostgut Ton's always reliable Virginia - both neatly compliment the merits of the originals. With track titles such as ''Kevin Spacey'' and ''Morgans Freeman'', the release tips its hat to the movie Seven - and it's just as ominous and enticing too. The former is a dark and deranged voyage that drags the listener right on through to the depths of the techno, while the latter is a percussion-laced anthem that's primed for the night's more uptempo moments. In all, a stunning debut from a label we're sure to be hearing much more from in the near future.

Two years after his last EP Terra Incognita, Poisson Chat is back on PCM for a very special and personal record : Wave Memory, a mini album gathering six waves recorded throughout 2013, after the break-up of an important love story.
This record is his diary, recounting his own experience about a meaningless, dark period in life.

During 1993 and 1994, between shifts at Selectadisc, blagging studio time from DiY and looking for a new girlfriend, Nail spent time at home with some borrowed equipment; a TR-808, TB-303, Boss delay pedal and a knackered spring reverb, plus his own Korg MS10. Recording live & straight to cassette, these acid-soaked sessions were given the name 'Sentipede', after a friend at the time saying one of the tracks made them feel like they were being eaten alive by a giant creepy-crawly with lots of legs.

DJ, producer, all-round music connoisseur and entertainer, Jean Nipon, drops a dope new EP on ClekClekBoom after his first effort for the label released in late 2012....TIP!
This is a brand new sound for him and quite a big move from the functional future bass aesthetics he then designed. The "Nice Seeing You" EP is all about unfossilized beats, shady, reminiscent vibrations from an entirely fictional past and a taste for used-ness and aging when it comes to textures. Shaky drums and hi hats sound as if they'd been cured in ancient jars and keyboards work like lo-fi, mystical instruments from electronic primitive tribes. These are four house grooves that you can dance to, but not just only in a club - as well as in a inner space of yours, in some place dedicated to uplifting melancholy and ecstatic introspection. This moves in a different way that most of the dance music you hear these days, since it's both oblique and not focussed on the effect it's supposed to generate. Four touching tracks from someone who likes his house deep, remote and brittle.

Danny Wolfers (most frequently known as Legowelt) is a producer and performer who has worn many hats, all of them styled with finesse. His range is immense but never disparate; through releases for Clone, L.I.E.S., Creme Organization and Peoples Potential Unlimited (among others) Legowelt has spanned everything from frosty techno, sprawling boogie and melodic acid house to chugging electro without sacrificing bonafide quality or pandering to the fad du jour. In his newest effort, a debut EP for Fotomachine's Technicolour imprint entitled Anaconda Flow, listeners are treated to that dynamism in its very finest form. Uplifting, dreamy synth sequences are incorporated alongside his instantly recognizable gritty floor-fillers for a four-piece package that will both delight the home listener and devastate the dance. His long-demonstrated devotion to hardware is utilized here to extraordinary effect: blips bubble to a murky surface, twinkles cascade from above and a kick drum pulses straight through everything it touches—all in all a darkly immersive little jewel, though who would have expected any less

Marco Shuttle leads a double life. By day, he works as a well-respected fashion designer; at night, he crafts exquisite techno. Through his meticulous approach, he
developed a unique aesthetic that appeals to music cognoscenti across the globe. In the past year, he's appeared at many prestigious festivals and clubs, including Labyrinth in Japan, Fabric in London, and Berghain in Berlin.

We discovered Marco's music the old fashioned way in 2012, when we picked up his Clone Store Only Series record at Halcyon in Brooklyn. Since then, he released a
series of 12's on his own Eerie imprint that turned our heads completely inside out.

Last year, we invited Marco to play his first stateside gigs here at The Bunker and Chicago's Smart Bar. He played us two unreleased tracks that we instantly knew
would fit on our record label. Even though it would be eight months before our first 12' was released, Marco had faith in our ability to make the label happen and the
patience to wait for this amazing music to be released as The Bunker New York 006.

Since its inception 12 years ago, Silicone Soul's Darkroom Dubs label has been a consistent and reliable source of heady, shoe-gazing club material. Previous releases over this expansive period have included original productions from the likes of Dubspeeka, Dimitri Veimar and Extrawelt as well as remixes from Robag Wruhme, Chicken Lips and Paul Woolford amongst many others.


Now, after a slew of acclaimed 12" EPs and a string of CD compilations and albums, Darkroom Dubs prepare to cut their first LP to wax, which comes from Portuguese newcomer Pedro Aguiar. Brimful of spectral intensity, Aguiar's 'Landscapes and Heartbreaks' is an uninhibited package of field recordings and otherworldly tones that stay close to the aesthetic Darkroom Dubs fans hold dear and also inaugurate the label's landmark step into the world of Long Play records.

Just as the title suggests, the LP sonically explores the topography of an often- mournful setting and kicks off with the deeply cinematic 'Western Digital' before the cold, mechanical character of 'The Ceremony' layers bit-crushed textures with metallic, atonal drones. Hypnagogia then sets a rich and busy groove stuttering inside a cloudy cavern before 'Black Palm' spreads rich, undulating sweeps over sheets of liquid and delayed percussive knocks that are gently propelled by a low- passed thud.

The lucent, minor key tones of 'Redemption' are then spread out before the ticking percussion of 'Sacred Ritual' patiently ferries the listener toward solace. 'Helios' then recalls the work of Keith Kenniff as rubbery, synthetic pops are contrasted against a soft melodic sheet before 'Fadio Vadio' rolls out a steady, chugging drum pattern and coarse, granular sweeps. 'Orizaba' and 'Lost In You' then inject some swooning synth tones, which work to round off a cohesive anthology of emotions that mark the first step for an extremely auspicious talent.

Still charged, the deep tribal trance of Reinier Brekelmans, Reinoud van den Broek and Robbert Heijnen. A Double Dutch mixture of Industrial and Detroit techno, lacing Acid House with some of the liveliest oppositional ideas of the time, about art, nature and politics. From the same neck of the enchanted forest as Psychic TV and Coil... but this album is kicking dance music. Originally released on cassette in 1989. Reissued in silk-screened sleeves, with notes by Reinoud. Great, bracing stuff. 'We are very interested in the methods of 'those primitive peoples' who used dance throughout the ages, as a celebration of life or a way to communicate with spirits. To be spiritual is a strange word now but you can break the structures of conditioning with that physical experience. That's the side we're interested in.'

As Sure As Night Follows Day is Russell Haswell's landmark second album for London's Diagonal Records. Consolidating a quarter-century at the coal face of extreme computer music, techno and death metal in 19 tracks and 49 minutes, it's Haswell's most coherent yet varied burst of activity to date — zigzagging from improvised n0!se outbursts and asphyxiated R&B to a brace of thundering acid bullets that positively froth for the 'floor.

The album was extracted over a fast-working period in late 2014, and is best perceived as a sort
of fractured regression to his formative influences: you can hear the picnoleptic recollections of
grindcore shows in the Black Country, the refracted shades of mega-raves at Coventry's Eclipse,
the conflating toxic texture-memories of early Japanese noise, and the incandescent stomp of
Mills and Hood in that early 90s phase.

Fortunately for the ravers, this album includes some of Haswell's most direct dance floor attacks to
date. 'Hardwax Flashback', for instance, finds him in pure tekno panik mode — a four-to-the-floor
wrecking ball groove that someone, somewhere, may even be able to mix. 'Gas Attack' distils his
penchant for all things Belgium into a vicious strain of New Beat lactic acid. Haswell then doffs his
cap to Detroit electro legends Drecxiya on 'Underwater Electronic

Struggle' — a story goes that he once thrashed a jet-ski all over the Mediterranean while listening
to 'Wave Jumper' in his 'phones — before he does the salty freestyle electro flex 'ting on 'Industry
Knowledge (For Oscar)' while reminding his trusty apprentice, Powell, that he still has a lot to
learn. In between these 'floor-flexers, we find more freakish disturbances and intrusive drum-box
improvisations: the modular mind-floss of 'Rave Splurge Noise' or 'Noise Rave', for instance, or the
self-explanatory 'Improvisation #1'. 'In The Air

Today' investigates warehouse-ready electro-acoustic percussion, while the chaotic clusters
of 'Interlude' swarm and invade your senses with psychoacoustic incision. This is Diagonal and
Russell at their most f**ked up and fizzy, and an important reminder of the artist's stream-of-
consciousness genius — and the pressing need for more chaos and unpredictability in electronic
music today.

Amsterdam based On And On are set to celebrate 6 years of parties with a huge birthday celebration on 11th April in the heart of the Dutch city. The anniversary is also set to be marked by the release of a double vinyl package featuring eight new and exclusive tracks from some of the On Records family, called ON:6.
This veritable feast of Techno, featuring not only the Dutch label contingent of Jeff Rushin and Nicole Rosie , but also Aiken, Unbalance, Yan Cook, Morbeck, Milton Bradley, Terence Fixmer is spread across a 2 x vinyl package, released on 11th April.
On 11th April there is a celebration of their work and a party to showcase the exciting future for both their artists and record label.

Kowton makes an emphatic return to Livity Sound this Autumn with his first solo 12' for the label since 2012.

Following on from their recent digital-only release for the label, TIYG, brings some serious dancefloor pressure with the delectable 'In Your Guts' vinyl EP from Five Fold Records.

Diverging from their more experimental output, 'In Your Guts' is firmly rooted in the continental techno aesthetic seeing our two classically trained instrumentalist thirsting for sonic exploration and delivering gloriously dirty techno acidity coaxed from the array of analogue synths and outboard gear installed in their Venetian studio.

Opening with 'In Your Guts' Remix by AD Bourke, those familiar with AD's aural evolution will find our first Five Fold Alumni piloting a peak-time acid techno juggernaut of epic proportions. Crunchy, dark and so heavy it warps spacetime, this remix will be pummeling bass bins from Berghain to Movement well into 2016's summer season.
Flip to the B side for the original cut of jumped up squelchy acid techno, where the marauding bassline mutates throughout awash with distortion filters and bad intentions, while the B2 is a thoroughly dark and unsettling affair of cavernous reverbs and rhythmic scatterings that give way to a deep and driving techno bubbler percolating long into the night.

Cultured Dutch label Shipwrec is to team up with Frustrated Funk to release "North Bend", a new album by 214 aka Chris Roman. The 2x12" album lands on Shipwrec in late June, after an EP on Frustrated Funk earlier in the month, and is an absorbing nine track affair. Chris Roman hails from Seattle in the US and releases under this name on labels like Frustrated Funk, Harbour City Sorrow and Touchin' Bass. He also released as J. Alvarez on the labels Hypercolour and La Beaute Du Negatif and is a prolific producer with an abstract sounds that touches on electro, techno and plenty in between. The album itself features atmospheric techno ambient with scattered beats, lush electro that is filled with true electronic soul and cosmic soundscapes that come from another world. The art that comes with the LP is drawn from the artist's local area, where he takes great inspiration and influence, as he does from his Frustrated Funk label peers ERP, Versalife and Plant43 to just name a few. Together with these artists, this album is furthering Roman's own signature sound as well as a new and subtly evolved brand of electro that builds on a rich history of electronica. Kenneth Roman features on one excellent track, which whips and snaps with a real sense of futurism. Elsewhere, "North Bend" sounds slick, emotive and is produced with a crisp excellence, so this album is another fine statement that reminds us just why Roman, the Frustrated Funk and Shipwrec families, are such puristic minds that push music from the heart.

Nineties techno hero Aphrohead announces his 'Resurrection' with an innovative new album for Crosstown Rebels. A welcome return for a stunning album courtesy of Felix Da Housecat techni moniker: Aphrohead.

A musical eccentric, prolific US DJ and producer Felix Stallings AKA Aphrohead / Felix Da Housecat has never been afraid to take risks and break new ground, consistently captivating the electronic music field for over two decades. He first burst onto the club scene in 1993 as Aphrohead with the timeless classic 'In Thee Dark We Live' which was licensed countless times and is benchmarked as one of the greatest techno records of all time. The first half of the album, with track 'Resurrection', 'Klymaxx' and 'Come to Me' is an escort to higher plains pleasing fans of Daft Punk and Giorgio Moroder Before the previously released single 'Let's Prance' brings it's futuristic tremors shifting the album into a new gear. The second part of the album brings a long-anticipated eruption, starting with the sinister sneer of 'Elevator' and the bohemian cries of 'Grown Man Cry', soon to be released on Crosstown Rebels as a single this autumn.

Aphrohead created a precedent in 90's techno on halcyon labels Bush, Global Cuts, Power Music, Thee Black Label & Radical Fear. His Felix Da Housecat alias went on to form the epicentre of the electro-clash scene and it was through this alias his friendship began with Crosstown Rebels pioneer Damian Lazarus, then at City Rockers. This Resurrection album is a welcome return to form.

Deep, Drone, Soundscapes. And if the remix is signed by Darkcell, then the game is complete. When two new reality as Conrad Van Orton (KEY Vinyl, ANG, CRS Recordings, etc.), and MTD (Sonntag Morgen) come together for a release on Fluxus Records .... the result can be only of a high level . New on the Delsin X-Series is My Home is Sonic, a standout techno, dub and minimal album originally released in 2001 by Icelandic producer Arnvidur Snorrason aka Exos on AE Recordings. Exos is the son of dub techno producer Octal and released three albums in his career, as well as a swathe of fine EPs on labels like Thule, Mosaic, Slow to Speak and has recently being picked up by Nina Kraviz. His ability to build great atmospheres and heady soundscapes was unrivalled, and though they bottle up influences, they are always fresh, wintry and compelling. Few have done minimal dub techno better before or since this masterpiece album, so it's right that 2015 sees it revisited by fans old and new alike.

The Mote Evolver debut of Amsterdam-based producer Jeff Rushin fits into the label catalog with an uncanny ease: much like his ME label-mates, Rushin is an artist who has the cool confidence and patience to let ideas slowly simmer, and knows that this simmering process is essential for his distinct sonic seasonings to truly and positively affect the body and mind. Rushin's deft programming and arranging skill places him comfortably into a new school of producers: those who can project original atmospheres and emotional nuances without straying too far from a classic palette of techno sounds; and who release tracks of impressive depth without caring too much about 'impressing.'

The opening track on A Figment of His Imagination, 'Coda,' is an audio nightfall that illustrates all of the above. A flawlessly executed demonstration of anticipation building: a shivering sequence slowly creeps into the listener's headspace, recedes, and returns again accompanied with sharp claps and huge subterranean kicks. 'Facing the Truth' continues in this vein, but this time being more appropriate to watching the sun rise, as it combines the same commanding kick sound with busy cymbal shivers and the audio counterpart of frozen light rays. On the b-side, 'Enigma' applies Rushin's calm but forceful approach to what feels like a determined journey through a forest of translucent filaments: the glassy ringing motif makes it a contender for the most unique track on the record, although the closer 'A Figment of his Imagination' has something to say on that subject as well. Intense hydraulic pumping and denial of mid-range frequencies gives it the hardest edge of any of the selections here, yet Rushin's aforementioned talents prevent this titanium-plated industrial pounder from being a rote exercise in aggression.

A Figment of His Imagination is at once one of the most mature and most focused releases in Rushin's young career; an exciting new snapshot of a work in progress.

Gynoid Audio, one of the few female labels around, started her course in 2010. She's now one of the most prolific labels when it comes to a variety of functional Techno, with focus on drive, mood, dirt and depth. The amount of well-established veterans (both old and new) who released or remixed for the label, or newcomers who saw their career start on Gynoid, is impressive. It also describes why its one of the most charted labels in it's field of operation. To celebrate the mains series 100th release and the continuance of the label we decided to preset a massive VA compilation spanning over three releases. Here is a limited green vinyl of the second volume from the 100th compilation, featuring brand new tracks by Audio Injection, Black Hats, Mattias Fridell, Rraph.

Exactly 2 years after their first Terminal M release the techno duo is back on Monika Kruse's imprint with a great follow up. What started out as a fun project between Gregor Tresher and Monika Kruse now became a regular tradition for the two close friends. Since their last GTMK EP was released on Gregor's Break New Soil label it's now time for a release on Monika's Terminal M Records. And again you can feel and hear the extraordinary chemistry between the two DJs, who share the same love for driving grooves and nasty little melodies.

Following the recent 'Part 6' & 'Part 7' releases comes the next and, for now, final chapter taking the series (that originated on the now defunct Phono label circa 1995) up to 'Part 8'. This time the structure is changed somewhat by opening with the wonky synth-led track 'The Wrong Place', the familiar sound of Rahel's vocals chopped up and distorted into an entirely different entity. Track 2 makes an immediate departure from anything else from the series so far with the melancholy 'Remembering Ken' featuring the lush vocals of adeomotayo. ade appears on the new Kindness record and was a backing singer for amywinehouse.

Side B of the vinyl opens with 'Ticket' a true Herbert techno workout with more than an element of his Wishmountain moniker appearing. The EP closes with the beautiful 'Her Face', cascading melodies melting over a throbbing 4/4 rhythm.

'Part 8' ends the current run of EPs but lays the foundation for a new Herbert album with all new material to be released in early 2015...

Sonic EP is the second contribution of Sawf to the Modal Analysis catalogue.The Greek producer, and core member of the Modal Analysis roster, delivers a mind-blowing 4-tracker with a clear intention to interpret an industrial-noise aesthetic from a techno perspective. Sonic#1 is a cut from the intro of Sawf's LIVE set, offering a powerful combo of processed vocals and distorted soundscapes. Sonic#2 comes as a long and stepping beast that creates the uncomfortable feeling of a horror movie soundtrack. On the B side; Sonic#3 blends blurry vocals with rhythmic industrial elements on a breath-taking bass-line, while Sonic#4 presents Sawf's charisma on impro-noise compositions.

Young, beautiful and talented... that's the attitude that Strip Steve's debut album MICRO MEGA is made of. Digging in the spirit of the glam and pop scene of the 80s the French DJ and Producer (livin' in Berlin now) put together a potpourri of high-class House, Nu-Disco, Techno and Dubstep tracks. Strip Steve knows how to create a sticking summer rave soundtrack like STOMP, which was formerly released as a first impact of his upcoming album. Even though he takes us on a trip back to the 80s shiny sides (RADIOCHECK) and darker sides (CALCIUM feat. Das Glow) we know from past releases. He does not hide his musical roots and background when living up to his origin with MONEY TROUBLE FUNK. Crushing celestial tech-noise objects from Black Rain (a.k.a. Ike Yard's Stuart Argabright) with Shapednoise and Demdike Stare's Miles Whittaker. 'Apophis', so named after asteroid 99942 which poses an uncertain threat to humanity, was written and realised over summer 2014 and supposes four cuts of destructive electronics describing a potential, eschatalogical event and its aftermath in grim and unflinching detail. Black Rain and Shapednoise are clearly steeled and ready for what may come, from 'Metal Home's' premonition of rubbling noise forces and slivers of electronic salvation, to the thunderous, scudding speedcore mass of 'Autonomous Lethality', or the double-timed serpentine lash of 'Interceptor' proving they've come to terms with our potential extinguished existence. Likewise, we've always imagined Miles came from some parallel cyberpunk dimension just outside Burnley anyway, so his Ramen reshape of the latter makes sense, hammering away its angles until it exudes sludgy, effluent hardcore techno tropes. Definitely one for Mad Max characters, techno freaks and noise creeps!

Kazuya Kawakami deconstructs Breakdown and puts all the elements together in his own way in order to fit it into various styles of techno. Go Hiyama keeps the groove of Resistance and adds spacey aspects to give it another power. Ryuji Takeuchi blends Breakdown with more straight groove and strong percussions to make it a floor killer. Tomohiko Sagae breaks Dark Encounter into pieces and reconstructs with crazy noise and stabs to bring it to different world. Kretsen is a new Swedish label dedicated to the underground sounds of the Nordic elfs and its city siblings. It might be raw, undefined, distorted, dusted or just plain sweaty house and techno, but it will move you.

Famed Spanish techno artist Svreca is back on his own well regarded label, Semantica, with a new four track EP that is due for release in January. Entitled Narita, the release is inspired by, and dedicated to, Japan, and the tracks are a collage of all the experiences and emotions the producer has picked up there whilst on his travels. This release was also due to be the 44th on the label (which has now made it up to number 67) and so has clearly been cooking for a long time. Once again it proves the man behind it to be focused on stripped back and hypnotic grooves, shadowy textures and subliminal synths that are abstract and truly heady. Up first, 'Sleepless' is a spooky and hypnotic techno roller with icy pads and rubber drums that roll on like a haunted midnight train burrowning deep into your brain. 'Ebisu' is even more reserved, with just a light, skipping kick and tinkling, glassy keys suspending you in a wide open space of abstract atmospheric sound. On the flip side, 'Mountain Splitter' is more urgent and immediate, with nervy pads this time racing alongside woodpecker precision and supple drums. It's heady stuff that really distracts you from the world before finally 'Trance' is a wash of grainy white noise and groaning synths that soundtrack a word deep down in the depths of the ocean. Svreca is a master of getting deep inside both body and brain and does so in different but captivating ways with all four of these cuts.

Even though the Gazel EP is his first ever solo release, Ümit Han performs, produces, and talks about music as if he has already released 150 records. A longtime supporter and visitor to the Cologne music scene, Ümit is a talented artist, one of the few who produces and performs using only a selection of his favorite analogue gear. So much gear in fact, he has a crew tag along with him to gigs just to help carry the various synthesizers, mixers, and effects processors. He takes music very seriously, his passion is clear, the love is there, and for his first solo outing he joins Cologne's leading Melodic Techno event series turned label, Bergwacht. A perfect fit.

The Gazel EP demonstrates exactly what a debut solo EP should, an artist's versatility. Ümit has delivered four productions that sound quite unique from one another, but altogether create a gracefully balanced EP that has it all. Deep and dreamy (Makta) meets dark and rough (Candan) meets hypnotic (Beyt-Ül Gazel) meets Cologne-fueled melodic brilliance (Matla). The opening track alone contains enough harmonic elements to land this EP into the crate of every DJ that favors the likes of Ananda or Babicz. Han, borrowing elements from some of our favorite hymns from some of our favorite artists has created something that feels familiar, but is undeniably his own.

And this is only the beginning...The New Sound of Cologne is coming.

West Side Chicago hardware anthems. Nick Read's Windbreaker project has been his refuge since the days of Lazer Crystal (Thrill Jockey). A Chicago DIY scene staple for over ten years, this is the first Windbreaker full length. Imagine Kraftwerk being trapped in Berghain and living off of floor scraps or Christian Hosoi pulling a Christ Air over the pyramids and you're somewhere close.

Trouble In Paradise Records presents four raw minimal dance tracks from H. Bergqvist.
From the deep of Stockholm northwest suburb Johannesfred TROUBLE 002 explores some of Bergqvist's rawest material to date, stumbling between ramshackle party vibrations, below-sea-level emissions and intergalactic noise, this release is a dedication to his hometown; Stockholm.

Laid down with authority by L/F/D/M are four no nonsense cuts blasting fresh air into that perennially en vogue phenomenon known as acid house. After stunning EPs for Glasgow's prestigious Optimo Trax and Clandestine Traxx, an equally crushing full-length for Kompakt's Ecstatic imprint, and two brain melting EPs for Diagonal with Factory Floor's Dominic Butler as Bronze Teeth, it is an honor to have his sounds grace CGI with a release that sees him playing right for the heart of the dance floor. Opener "Spare Ribs, No Napkin" is meaty and greasy with abandon, as rude and distorted as it is irresistibly syncopated. "Cutting Fingers" contrasts with a slow burn with a deep kick anchoring shifting rhythms and unsettlingly hypnotic riffs. Flip this treasure over and get pummeled by the rolling stomp of "Heavy Clouds' with its massive 808s and just-off-the-nose acid cycles. Closing things out is the bright paranoid jack of ' ippos In Slumber" with its muted chords adding freaky color to steady and heady 707/303 workout that charms and overpowers with an electric stink that lingers long after the needle has reached the lead-out groove.

Originated as a project to explore potential film / animation synchronisation with nods to his growing penchants for neo-classical, free-jazz and minimal music, German born and Derbyshire raised musician / painter and mathematician, David Tyack began working under his new Luxury Apartments moniker in the summer of 2002. Having recently finished a self penned conceptual LP with CAN frontman Malcolm Mooney and writing and recording for the then yet-to-be-mixed LPs by Jane Weaver's Misty Dixon and his own school-formed band D.O.T. Dave's new direction was set to counterbalance his ambitions to record a fully realised singer songwriter album with an ongoing series of experimental recordings at his new compact home studio on Clyde Road in Didsbury Manchester. Completed just months before his untimely accidental death on the island of Corsica, Luxury Apartments reveals Dave at his uninhibited best displaying some of his most adventurous, dedicated and unapologetic solo excursions into sound design, improvised composition and electroacoustic territories resulting in a unique blend of dark ambient, mechanical folk, PINA stylings and coldwave DIY rhythms. Drawing comparisons to the varied works of Sorgini, Eno, Liska, Stabat Stable, Martin Zero, Luc Mariani, Walter Branchi and the lost electronic work of Don Cherry these previously unheard tapes remain in unedited form compiled exactly how Dave intended the record to be pressed should any independent record label have the foresight to take the plunge into his new creative pool.

Motormännen make information techno infused with an air of Swedish nostalgia through a filter of retro-futuristic skepticism. The music is packed with minimal acid loops and samples with excerpts from Swedish politicians, documentaries and Christer Glenning, reflecting on times when the cold war and the traditional welfare state were dissolving. Inhibitions were relaxed and new, foreign influences crept into the body of society and the old information monopolies. Motormännen's tracks are visually enhanced by messages from pictures and videos from the 1970's and 80's.

Motormännen released their debut album "Informationstechno" on cassette in 2014, which was nominated for best Swedish dance album of the year at Manifestgalan 2015. During 2015 the band received attention from Swedish radio P2 and P3 and performed a series of gigs at home in Stockholm.

Synkro AKA Joe McBride returns to Apollo for his fourth release on Apollo with the stunning Transient EP. Inspired by his move from the bright city lights of Manchester back to his childhood home, this is music that aches with nostalgia and melancholy, Joe explains :

'I wrote the EP in between moving house, I started the tracks in my old flat & finished them in my new house. After living & spending a lot of time in Manchester I decided that it wasn't for
me, I moved back to a small town in Derbyshire where I grew up & this EP kind of reflects my journey.'

Swooning pads set the scene for opener 'Someone', cut against plangent vocals and a stuttering breakbeat and humming sub bass, title track 'Transient' goes deeper with more lush yet desolate polyphony and strident percussive rhythms. 'Contact' strikes a more intimate and hopeful mood - re-pitched chords and dubbed out vocals allied to gentle jazzy percussion, while 'Falling' brings the listeners journey to an end with a spectral lullaby, emotive descending pads punctured with glassy drum claps

The next hot white label series comes from a new producer and label of the same name from Ireland called "xerophkz". As the name would suggest this is techno with purpose and intent designed with the dancefloor in mind. The A-side brings two direct punishing cuts, while the B-side goes deeper balancing out the EP nicely. Styled on techno from early 90's while also embracing the new school sound this release offers a unique style and sound not often found in the current climate....

Vacuum Geometry EP is the first release of the 30drop project. Four tracks have been edited, to further on be understood as a conclusion of the experiment and evolution of Detroit Techno on one hand, and as a dark and industrial european Techno on the other hand. With this, a new a mix of styles is born, acquiring a particular and differential sound expressed by hypnotic, synthetic and cosmic textures, and by oppressive and evocative
pads.

Established producer D'Marc Cantu has been crafting his own style of jakbeat since the late '90s, but comes to NYH with some dark and experimental techno and drones.

A staple of the international techno landscape for well over 20 years, Mauro Picotto returns to the front of the stage with From Heart To Techno.
Having made his family life a priority for the last three years, Picotto was nonetheless busy in the studio, adding to his beyond-extensive catalogue of releases and preparing us for a new salvo of pumping techno, jacking tech-house and quintessential club material. From Heart To Techno, Picotto's ninth studio album features a number of collaborations with regular partners in crime Riccardo Ferri and Devid, who both throw in extra measures of Italian flair to the mix, helping dish out a total of 12 tracks, with super-clubs in the crosshair.
Energy levels are sky-high and hedonistic euphoria immediately springs to mind upon hearing From Heart To Techno. From the opening drum loops of trance infused tech-house club bomb Proximus Medley to the instantly recognizable chilled electronica of closer Komonster, Mauro shows off what 25 years of manning the decks at some of the world's biggest clubs have taught him.
The album spans the entire spectrum of techno with future Ibiza classics sitting comfortably next to dark and heavy cuts.
The aspirations of Ibiza-heads will of course be fully satisfied by the likes of tech-house shoulder shuffler Space, the acid bass meets cinematic strings of Lifeblood and the playful funky-jazz infusions of The Whistle. Nostalgia is never very far and tracks like Flashback, stab-heavy Night Crawling and tribal workout session Born serve as a reminder that Mauro's roots are firmly planted in pre 00's sonorities. Dreamy tracks break the narrative of the album and nestle against the darker folds and the pure hands in the air moments of From Heart To Techno.

The plink and plonks of Eterea give the listener the perfect amount of breathing time before plunging back into the action and the Torinese lets his stern but always exuberant side shine through on the laser sharp techno injunctions of Time To Wake Up, the twisted vocal-led Morning Time, and the minimalistic electric bursts of My Friend Tesla. While DeepChord in America, or the Thule crew from Island have been inspired by the Basic Channel blueprint sound coming from Berlin, a small group of artists tempted to push their own interpretation. Full of energy, strongly cauterized in mind, wanted to get rediscovered.In the year 1995 'Melted Vein' arose. Hypnotized, slowly but full of strength it became back to the theme. Merv educed their own variation, their own soul. You can hear their further development in the track ' Dust', from 1998. Pads and melodies, from different galaxies, mixed with ascending chords, kept together with the 909. Two tracks, two epic tracks, the pure Merv magic! Both have been re- mastered at the traditionally Berlin Mastering Studios D&M.

CW/A present their remarkable debut album, Words Unspoken, Acts Undone. Since their inception CW/A have forged a path through the murky world of electronic music, with a number of releases on Vakant, M_REC and their own Parachute Records. Previously accomplished musicians in their own right, Thomas and Francesco joined forces in 2013 to begin a live project that took the act of performance into the club. Shying away from typical setups so prevalent nowadays, CW/A bring to the club a level of live performance which they've now translated into their first full-length.

Weighing in at 11 tracks the album demonstrates the duos musical heritage of early Warp style bass but also UK Jungle and Downwards-
influenced dub Techno. This isn't an album that looks back with any misty-eyed nostalgia, it respectfully brings its nineties influences straight into 2015, seamlessly weaving from genre to genre with an up-to-date element to the production.

But the word 'INVERSO' is also a concept that leads to an exact opposite of what it assumes.
These two meanings of the word 'INVERSO' inspire all the tracks of the label, characterized by a "Noisy and Distorted" sound, where symmetry and asymmetry live together and where analog source and analog processing give a great touch of depth.

Lee Gamble's UIQ label enters orbit with N1L's hazardous maiden voyage of strobing electronics and agitated techno-house. Born Martins Rokis, N1L arrives at his first vinyl release via ten years of outlier electronic pursuits including a split cassette with N.M.O.'s Rubén Patiño beside numerous live actions, usually in the context of conceptual art installations, generative systems, and multichannel A/V performance.With 'Wrong Headspace' however, he has coined the N1L moniker to open a less oblique, more direct connection with the 'floor, representing a headspace where he can pursue experimental club music and physical sensation thru the prisms of sound design and soundsystem pressure in a manner that clearly dovetails with Gamble's own aesthetic perceptions.A-side: 'Iguana Love Bite' twysts 140bpm grime-techno with chromatic chords in splintering yet deliquescent dance formations, somehow keeping a robust keel amidst the machine-gunning chaos, whereas 'Lonely Is The New Black' sounds like '95 jungle extruded thru a mental wormhole.B-side: 'Stuck In A Cube' tacks toward alien tribal house with lush effect, cycling thru multiple time signature changes and ambient dimensions to a heady techno rush, where 'Wrong Headspace' comes down with the crankiest, de-glazed electronics forged into what sounds like a L.I.E.S. record from the year 2020. On the heels of last year's "Moon Temple" EP, Throne of Blood co-founders Vito & Druzzi return with the two floor-ready vocal house jams featuring Xavier, a veteran vocalist best known for his brilliant version of "Gimme the Night" by George Benson released on erstwhile NYC disco imprint, A Touch of Class Recordings.

Road tested everywhere from Brooklyn clubs to Electric Elephant festival, "It's EZ" and "Deep Into It" deliver the goods, from hands-in-the-air hooks to speaker rattling bass and emotive keys. This is modern dancefloor house music rooted in classic 90s vibes.

Longtime friend of the label and Delft Records founder LA-4A strips "It's EZ" down, dropping short loops of Xavier's vocals over a massive acid line. With precious little of the original instrumental in evidence, he delivers some straight-up machine funk for big dance floors. For her remix of "Deep Into It" Mexican upstart Lokier builds upon recent releases for Have A Killer Time and Viall as well as her new collaboration with Morgan Hammer as She Makes Monster. Her version is a dislocating miasma of synths and drums, amping up the psychedelia and drug chug atmosphere.

The digital version of "It's EZ" also features a dub version of "Deep Into It" courtesy of Druzzi that pitches down Xavier's falsetto and transmutes the track into a raw cut reminiscent of Motor City Drum Ensemble's best productions.

Make things simple is not easy, but Arnaud Le Texier is mastering this skill here on Synthese EP. He knows what he wants and goes
straight to the point, techno in a very pure form. Something we all secretly love, a simple pleasure, just like exploding bubbles from a
