On a cold rainy day in London, Tessela met up with Nozinja in a East London pub for a quick pint. They got on like a house on fire, swapping production techniques and notes from their drastically different approach to making electronic music. They ended up going back to Tessela's studio down the road for an impromptu recording session. What you hear now is the results...

2 very different takes on the same song. 'Wa Chacha'; produced by 2 artists at the top of their game with a mere distance of 8,000 miles separating their respective hometowns.

Nozinja, of Shangaan Electro fame - who is currently prepping for his forthcoming full length album on Warp Records, wrote the original song and was asked by Bleep to collaborate with Tessela for this special one-off 12 release.

Tessela - the UK based producer gaining attention through skilfully blurring the boundaries between techno, jungle and fractured rhythmical structures through his incredible releases on R&S Records, Punch Drunk and of course his incredible break-out self-released track 'Hackney Parrot', jumped at the opportunity to work with the genre-pioneering South African producer.

The results are 2 superb renditions and arrangements of the infectiously catchy 'Wa Chacha'. 'Wa Chacha' by Nozinja / Tessela will be released by Bleep on 9th February on 12 vinyl and digital formats.

Alex Coulton makes the deft first mark on Beneath's Mistry label, a new home for darker, techy UK riddims. 'Bleep Sequence' weighs up a definitive reduction of dark garage, dubbed techno and Yorkshire-style bleep 'n bass with plangent radar pings and body-scanning subs rolling from a spare, halfstep swagger into dread techno momentum. 'Tension' is a deadly new cut, well known to UK underground circles, synching tribal drum cadence with wide, surging subs and diffuse dubbing.

One of Techno's most famous and greatest tracks is back with a vengeance !
Christopher Just was and is a man of many faces, writer (Brennstoff, Porno), very successful remixer (Divine, Drax, Pulp, Chicks On Speed,...), member of the infamous Ilsa Gold project (with a great performance this year at the Mayday !), has released uncounted records on Cheap, Giant Wheel, Force Inc. and is now working for theatre and as producer and musician.
His track Disco Dancer was originally released as a one-sided 12inch on Hell's Gigolo Records and was a huge success with a license to the XL label in the UK and remixes by none smaller than Fat Boy Slim, Dave Clarke, Hell aso. ! Many new remixes followed, but somehow all of them forgot to include the great original !
Now it's back in it original form with a fine remaster by TPH and two great new contemporary remixes by our AFU guys Harry Axt and Felix Bernhardt !
This all is packed onto a nice limited picture disc Vinyl and already on the decks of a few collaborateurs !

These three tracks were recorded by Daze Maxim and Oliver Bondzio during the studiosession in 2003 for Oliver Bondzio's 'Straight outta D-Town' album which was released on Cocoon Recordings. Since music has no expiring date Oliver finally decided to release them.

Brilliant energetic techno tracks with 90's aesthetics. Last one in the Head Fron Panel series according the label. Essential, just like every other HFP.

*Hot on the heels of DJ Deep's inaugural Kern mix for Tresor comes 'Kern Vol.2', selected and mixed by Gigolos boss DJ Hell. Hell has a track record of releasing benchmark mixes, most notably the wildly eclectic mix for Belgian club FUSE in 2000, and 1995's 'X-Mix 5: Wildstyle', whose concept he feels is 'not far away from Kern Vol.2'.
*For 'Kern Vol.2', the Munich / Berlin machine dug deep into his vast collection to unite early House and Techno with the new wave. To start the process, he searched in the most obvious place: his basement.
*The second 12' - The Rarities - is a precious collection of forgotten early '90s grooves. On the A-side, none other than Mr. Daniel Bell contributes to this special Kern Vol.2 with a track that has never seen the light of day since its year of production, 1992 - the 'Chicago Style' version of his legendary 'Blip' title. A collector's piece.
*The B-side starts with NYC '90s xtures Lenny Dee and Ralphie Dee's (aka Major Problems) Overdose, a 1990 relentless number originally released on Nu Groove. Back to '92 with Sub-Culture's 'Dreams' released on Hayden Brown's own imprint Strobe. All mixes on the original and rare 12' are simply excellent, and DJ Hell chooses here the forgotten Tribal Life Mix.

Marcel Fengler darf als Künstler auf ein erfolgreiches Jahr zurückblicken. Angefangen bei seiner - Frantic EP' auf Ostgut Ton, fortgesetzt durch DIN, ein Projekt mit Efdemin, welches auf der MASSE CD wohl eines der ausdrucksstärkeren Stücke repräsentiert und zum Ende das wohl kreativste und intensivste Projekt von Marcel Fengler, - Fokus', sein Debüt LP Format und nicht weniger. Für seine Remix EP durften Dave Clarke, Aubrey, The Exaltics und The Traveller den Fokus selbst setzen.

Dave Clarke eröffnet die 12' mit seinem Remix für - Sky Pushing'. Die einst kraftvolle Originalversion von Fengler, besitzt nicht mehr den sanften Charakter, sie wird jetzt hingegen in Verzerrungen gestürzt. Es scheint, als wenn alles sorgfältig und mit System ins Chaos geführt wurde. Der stetige Antrieb lässt keine Pause zum Luft holen.

Die Break Techno Version von The Exaltics wird mit nervösem Bass gepeitscht, der mit den rauchigen Drums den groovigsten Track der Remix EP darstellt. Nach dem Break schlagen betont wuchtige Drums ein, die einen wahrlich abheben lassen. Die zarten stimmen von - Mayria' vollenden dann alles, wie man es sich nicht besser hätte vorstellen können.

Die andere Seite des Vinyls wird von Aubrey neu definiert. - Trespass' ist durch die unvorhersehbar eingesetzten Hi Hats und Synth Sounds des Originals über die gesamte Spielzeit interessant arrangiert. Der klassisch und düster pumpende Beat wird durch den geschickt eingesetzten Flanger entschärft und arbeitet in der finalen Kombination perfekt zusammen.

The Traveller bildet das Schlusslicht der EP und damit auch die größte Überraschung. Das vermeintlich sanfte Intro entpuppt sich zu einer Techno Ansage der alten Schule. Harte Kickdrums und schlichte Hi Hats, die zusammen mit der immer wiederkehrenden Melodie von - Jaz' verknüpft eingebettet sind.

Some records are birthed through countless months or even years of studio hard yaka; drafts, followed by re-drafts, an eternal process of searching for that money shot musical moment. Then there are albums that simply pour out of the collective minds of its creators - more of a stream of consciousness and musical expressions that strategic beat creation.

For best friends and long time collaborators Matt Edwards (aka Radio Slave) and Thomas Gandey (aka Cagedbaby and producer). Matom began as a one off project to create an hour of music to celebrate the iconic Hansa recording studios in Berlin, a space that's seen everyone from David Bowie and Iggy Pop to Tangerine Dream and Brian Eno.

Says Edwards 'The initial music was loosely based around the recording of David Bowie's 'Low' and the works of Iggy Pop and I wanted to create these soundscapes that would allow Thomas to improvise and we managed to come up with seven songs in two days.'

From this auspicious beginning the project continued to pick up pace and the pair soon performed in Warsaw alongside revered Kosmiche figurehead Manuel Gottsching and a few months later at the Name festival in Lille, France.

Splitting time between Gandey's home and studio outside Bordeaux and Edward's studio in Kreuzberg, Berlin, the pair continued to create. The duo adopted a free-flow approach to production, with Gandey talking warmly about creating sounds for the Matom Project. They'd cook together, eat fine food, and then sit down to work on the music together.

Gandey describes Edwards as the 'master of minimal', building up the soundscapes and beats before Thomas filled out the compositions with various keyboards from his collection including a Fender Rhodes, Moog Voyager, Clavia Nords, Roland Drum Machines and live percussion and finally another collaborator Paul Sandrone would improvise on guitar at the final stages of production.

The entire essence of Matom's sounds is based around live takes and recorded snippets of conversations and ambiences from their tours, with no MIDI or samples so when they joined the line up for the Pyramids of Mars label showcase at Berghain's Kantine it was a seamless transition from studio to stage. Their last gig was once again for the Red Bull Music Academy in Miami WMC 2014 to perform the finished album for the people who first inspired and supported the project.

And so Matom's 'Love Mistakes' is signed sealed and delivered, a work Gandey describes as 'a culmination of our combined skills and reflecting its contrasting environments, a dualism between the cosmic serenity of the vineyards in his south of France retreat and the gritty urban cityscapes of Berlin's bohemia.'

Crossroads - The album opens with Crossroads, which sets the scene, a beatless dystopian ambient soundscape featuring Rhodes.
Experiment 1 Variation 3 - As the name suggest we had a lot of tracks to choose from, this one based around one of the original improvised Piano sessions we recorded in Bordeaux. Cuban Piano backs a driving drum, and one of the most fun to play live.
Hansa - Named after the primary inspiration for the project. This is a paradise travelogue, written on Rhodes, a percussive playground.
Warsaw - Named and written for our 2nd live performance, very much inspired by Berlin and cruising along the rivers.
Zazu - Another meditative ambient work, inspired by early Concrete musique and tribal percussion and mostly reversed, modular synthesis and sequencers back the Rhodes.

Experiment 7 Variation 2 - Middle Eastern Piano heavily delayed with string swells.

Mike Parker is next to release on Deep Sound Channel - a sub label of the Dutch Shipwrec imprint - and as ever the two tracks he offers up are made of twisted analogue frequencies that work their way into your brain. Parker has long been a techno hypnotist releasing on labels like Prologue, Mote Evolver and his own Geophone label, and has been collaborating with the likes of Donato Dozzy in the process. This new vinyl only 12" comes on special silver marbled wax with a silkscreen printed PVC sleeve and again is an essential selection for deep techno fans. 'Modulation Cave 1' is powered by warm, rubber kicks drums and above that are finely teased out synth lines that roam like mischievous spirits above the never ending groove. Parker's subtle synth modulation is all that is needed here for you to be locked from start to finish. 'Modulation Cave 2' is a similarly deep, tunnelling and hypnotic affair with lumpy kicks and hiccupping synths roaming free. This is pure techno for the heads only.

ESHU Records returns with another various artists EP. 4 tracks by Aepiel, Hakimonu, Albert van Abbe & Counterpart, ranging from ambient to more straight forward techno. Limited to 450 copies, all handnumbered.

This Illumination track from 1998 has been a long time favourite of Twitch's that can instantly change the atmosphere in a club, sounds like very little else, is eminently mixable and great fun to mix with. It was only when the master arrived that the realisation came that for all these years he had been playing it at the wrong speed! It is meant to be slow but Twitch had always played it at 45 instead of 33. The vinyl version will be pressed so it can be played at either speed while the digital will be the sped up to the 45 version. It starts off soft and dubbed out until the almost overwhelming bass tones appear only to make way for apocalyptic drum cascades that on a good sound system truly sound like the end of the world.


Mr. Marvin's "I Want You" came out on R&S offshoot Global Cuts in 1993. Made by Italian, Marvin Sasha, who under the name Sasha made a great series of timeless EPs around the same time, this is a hypnotic tribal gem with seemingly random, panning vocal interjections. Great in the mix but much more than a mere mixing tool.

Lastly is Fuel's "Rigid" which came out on the UK label SCR in 1995 at the time when Chicago's Relief Records were taking over the more discerning DJs' record boxes. This sounds like it shares some DNA with one of the many crazy tracks or remixes Green Velvet was making at this time; Industrial strength, stroboscopic snare tattoos that will have you reaching out for the smoke machines on button every time.

All three have been tried and tested countless times since they were originally released and come with an Optimo Trax guarantee that if played in the right way, at the right point in the night they will not fail to work on the dancefloor, or you get your money back.

Killer remixes from Hans Bouffmyhre and Plankton!

Opfer is a new project by Dutch artist Ian Martin and Belgian Artist Sebastien Crusener and Monument is their first album. Ian Martin needs no introduction to fans of adventurous electronic music. His versatile style allowed him to release on illustrious labels such as Bunker, Abstract Forms or Further Records. Sebastien Crusener has provided all source material in form of field recordings for their project and Ian modelled a abstract, minimal and dark ambient album that showcases a bleakness and almost disturbing coldness but yet makes you feel safely encapsulated in a world of comfort and strange beauty. After Amor Fati with "Into Deep" began 001, Buttha follows with a minimally and Deep Techno EP.

Time is running...and it seems like we just woke up out of our interstellar sleep-mode as we are facing the arrival of the 14th edition of the almighty COCOON RECORDINGS COMPILATION. Starting with the letter 'A' we reached 'N' meanwhile which probably marks one of the longest running techno-compilation-series ever around. The list of the featured artists is amazing and almost endless. Big names like Funk D'Void, Alter Ego, Michael Mayer, Steve Bug, DJ Rush, Adam Port, Christian Smith, Nina Kravitz, Henrik Schwarz or Argy can be found here. Not to forget some of the biggest players in the circus like Sven Väth, Anthony Rother, Extrawelt, Timo Mass, Radio Slave or Ricardo Villalobos, DJ Koze, Dubfire and even Berlin's Basic Channel mastermind Moritz Von Oswald! With the new 'Compilation N' we will add even more big names side by side to some fresh and promising ones. Let's start with Konstantin Sibold & Leif Müller who gave us 'Kolibri", a great slowed down techno-tune that brings us back to the high days of Alter Ego when Harthouse released big listening and electronica albums. Track number two by Julian Perez follows that feeling and explores the deep and dubby sides of techno, too. A perfect transition to Frankfurt homeboy Markus Fix. If nothing else, Tardis Records is a vessel of friendship: a place where joint passions thrive. Thusly, Eli Verveine and Oscar Schubag have asked DJ Jes from Chicago to perform his West Coast-inflected house magic. The fourth release on the Zurich/Berlin based label embodies a unique style all Jes' own: There's that mesmerizing, dubby and tribalistic disposition, chromatic and slightly outside the box. Propelled by whipping drums and twisted moods, opener 'Closer to Freedom' proves to be an irresistible and cleverly-conceived shaker. 'Echoes' delves into acoustic space-time and dribbles by way of percussive straightforwardness. With an additional six tracks the CD release of "Talk To The Sea" delves deeper into the archives of Gigi Masin; taking two tracks from the album 'Wind' and presenting four previously unreleased tracks.
For their much anticipated second release Music From Memory take you into the world of Italian musician Gigi Masin. Part of only a small and very much underground music scene in his hometown of Venice, Gigi Masin self released two modestly pressed LP's 'Wind' (1986) and 'Wind Collector' (1991) and appeared along side Charles Hayward for the Sub Rosa compilation LP "Les Nouvelles Musiques De Chambre Volume 2" (1988). Having met with little commercial success in Italy at the time, Gigi Masin's solo albums remained for the most part totally unknown. His music has though in recent years, and seemingly by pure word of mouth, developed almost something of a cult following.

Gigi Masin's uniquely intricate and at times deeply emotive compositions take the listener into a realm of contemplation, a spellbound mind state where time and space appear to dissolve. His sparse and hypnotic often loop-based compositions seem to draw parallels with Detroit Techno's earliest beginnings, all at once conjuring those same feelings of both melancholic longing and ecstatic joy.

With access to Masin's large body of work, far greater than that of the handful of released recordings, Music From Memory's new compilation covers a period of over 30 years, from the early 1980's up until now. Including seventeen compositions, most of which have remained unreleased or unavailable until now, 'Talk To The Sea' aims to shine a light on Gigi Masin's unique and heartfelt talent. This is electronic music from the soul.

Their debut 'Dogs' took the Beatport Deep House Charts by storm. With their second EP 'Jack' the Vienna-based duo HVOB fuel the anticipation for their forthcoming debut album. In 2012, a young duo from Vienna proved to be one of the great success stories of Europe's electronic music landscape: HVOB (short for 'Her Voice over Boys") only uploaded initial snippets on Soundcloud last April, reached number 4 in the Beatport Deep House Charts with their debut EP 'Dogs", number 10 in the Top Live Acts of the Year and number 11 in the Best Singles of 2012 in DE:BUG's readers' poll, while performing live at festivals such as Germany's Melt!. Moreover, the year was concluded by a particular honour: the leading Lebanese-French fashion designer Elie Saab chose HVOB's sound for his new collection video. With their inaugural release, Anna Müller (composition, production, vocals) and Paul Wallner (composition and final production) managed to create an entirely new and unique world of sound: HVOB represent intelligent and sophisticated electronic music that is equally emotive and melodic. 2013 kicks off with the release of HVOB's second EP: 'Jack' will be available on vinyl and Beatport on February 22. Here, the duo presents two new original tracks in the form of 'Jack' and 'Moon", while one will also find two prominent remixes of 'Jack". The Berliner DJs Niconé & Sascha Braemer weave the original's driving beats and Anna Müller's hypnotic voice into their own sound aesthetic, and Valencia's Edu Imbernon transforms 'Jack' into a dark and forceful deep house track. Especially Edu Imbernon's contribution highlights HVOB's current standing within Europe's scene: the Spaniard, who recently remixed 'The Reunion' by The XX among others, was so impressed by HVOB's sound that it led him to approach the young Viennese

Ñaka Ñaka's debut 12" on Opal's vinyl only off-shoot Black Opal see's the musicians sombre, minimalist synth scapes coalescing with his scattering techno patterns into a mature dancefloor workout. References to classic 90's techno-ambient can be heard throughout though refracted through Jeronimo's gaseous clockwork structures they take on a timelessness. Tracks like 'dioges' and 'def def' throw light and shade in equal measure with mood oscillating between hopeful and desolate. The b-side runs stranger, breaking at the seems with rusting drones on 'jAaz' and finding a final forceful kick with the evil pump of 'vibrocalyx' - A track made for the dankest floors. Harsh worlds are for the individual to witness and this makes a suitable soundtrack to the decay.

Violet Poison is the dark, enigmatic and esoteric side-project of Francesco Baudazzi, already known as Obtane, co-owner with Giorgio Gigli of the defunct techno label Zooloft.
The new project is focused on analogue proto-techno with influences from 70's Italian progressive bands like Goblin or OST composers like Fabio Frizzi and earlier Downwards records from 1994-1995.

Check his debut full lenght on HAR, after the releases for Vatican Shadow's labels (Hospital Productions and Bed of Nails), for his own label Violet Poison, for Repitch Recordings and a remix for Frozen Border. TIP

Sydney's DJ Hi-Shock, the creator of labels such as Gynoid Audio,
Elektrax, Darknet, Counter Pulse, makes his first 'Advanced Human'
appearance on Android Muziq.

The A-side track "Prometheus" is a combination of deep, spaced-out
minimalism with some dubbed out techno vibes and super clean production,
making this for a perfect DJ tool.

On the flipside, Advanced Human goes more gritty with "Steam Turbine", a
raw journey into mechanical techno territories. 100% machine funk !

Third cut "The Dropa Stones" is a pure techno track with craftily executed
grooves and layers of alien synths, bleeps and noises from outer space.

Beginning with tape experimentation, noise excursions and long-form drift and drone musics, Love Cult have steadily built up a discography based on decomposing and deconstructing. "KNOW EP" is the first vinyl statement that sees the Russian duo dive headlong into beat-forms and movement music.

Following their fog-covered debut LP on Public Information, Anya Kuts and Ivan Zoloto have swerved the spread-out spaciousness and primitive rhythm debris and reached for crucial, crude dub and techno templates. Ghostly remnants still pervade Know - Kuts' heavily-processed vocals are still in evidence - but with the adoption of distorted kick drums, off-kilter sub-basslines and compressed melodic strands, this Love Cult is more vital, more transformative. Recently the Karelian duo have coined the apt term «no tech», which stands for «northern technology».Terrifying opener Mise En Abyme is the bridge between older Love Cult and the new forms - massive, trawling chords barely contained by a rolling beat and cut-up vocals, like Sunn O))) lost in a lightless nightclub. My Boy breaks into an alternate-universe Garage rhythm, perverting the groove with ecclesiastical reverb drones and stabbing bass. The push and pull of Lust Undone, like a possessed drum machine transmitting the death rattle of the recently deceased, gives way to the closing, epic It's True. Perhaps the most straight-forward offering and undoubtedly one of Love Cult's strongest moments, It's True uses bass-bin shattering tones, quick-fire high hats and end-of-the-world noise injections to truly shatter the perceptions of the listener.

For more than 10 years, Philip Bader has been mixing it up in the Berlin electronic muisic scene as a producer, DJ and label founder - no wonder then that his frst studio album, "Wishful Thinking", to be released on Berlin label Highgrade Records, is such an eagerly awaited piece of work.

KILLEKILL 012 is being delivered by Dubliner EOMAC, aka Ian McDonnell, aka half of LAKKER, who has proven himself as one producer to watch. His sound design is extreme and unique. He creates dense atmospheres and fills them with subtle melodic elements, that are being pushed forward by heavy basslines and markable kick drums.
With club play by no less than Aphex Twin, EOMAC is a name that is on the verge of exploding onto the scene.
The title track SPOOCK is a killer of a techno track, that will literally destroy all dancefloors with its mental kickdrum and psyched out melody. A2 STYLISED & DESENSITISED is the track that has been played out by Aphex Twin. With its dark atmo- sphere and the subtle groove it develops its abstract appeal.
The B-side starts with a remix of SPOOCK by Stroboscopic Artefacts label boss LUCY who took away some of the aggressiveness of the original and focussed on the deeper side of the track to turn it into an almost 9 min long techno epos. B2 track NO NAME is a deep, bass driven masterpiece of abstract dance music. It shows the introverted side of EOMAC and therewith gives the EP what it needs to make it an outstanding, typical KILLEKILL release.

After - Glare / Closer' and - Music For The People / Twentythree' now comes the third act of the Hamburg based DJ and producer duo. And guess what the name is Right! - Third Strike' - short, concise and to the point. Similarly purist are the tracks it contains.

The 4-track EP will be opened with - The Classic', a truly classic Techno track, whose bassline drills directly into the head. - Save Me' is, however, a very percussive House track that knows how to impress with skillfully placed synths, while - Crooked' again comes to Techno and plays with all kinds of effects. The final track is an oldschool grooving House track with spoken vocals and the title - Hustle & Grind '.

- Third Strike' is a terrific number three for Heinrich & Heine on 040 Recordings. The highly promising Loopy opens its account with a double dose of disorientating, hypnotic botheration from NZ-er Oliver Peryman, ex of labels like Samurai Horo, Tri Angle and Exit. Both cuts are curtly compelling: SS is darting and hyper; Knecht more haunted, percussive.
On the flip, Kassem Mosse contributes some elastic, bubbling funk, with characteristic panache; and Oren Ambarchi settles in for twelve minutes of the frighteners.

The protagonists of our next release literally fit to the medium's color: We are happy to announce Tiefschwarz's first appearance on our label which is carved in black rills, three years after they mixed the 'Watergate 09 compilation for us. The A-side starts with the Tiefschwarz Extended of this collaboration between the two brothers and Ruede Hagelstein: This version of 'Fire It Out' is a percussive track with the intense pull we love from Tiefschwarz. The original is more vocal and melody based and is included in the digital EP package. dOP also contribute two remixes, both in the digital 'Girl' and the pressed on vinyl 'Boy' version. Next to the latter, you'll find another Remix: Fango took 'Fire It Out' quite literally and interpreted it as a perfect techno track. The four remixes are a great supplement to the already versatile original.

Its ten tracks explode with vitality, flecked with subtlety and depth, at once utterly contemporary but tinged with all the genres and flavours he's ever dipped into.

The electronic dance world has seen the many sides of And.Id as a talented musician, a multi-faceted producer and a live performer on the dance floor but his latest musical rebirth has sparked a new jolt of inspiration to travel back to his early days in Thessaloniki where he passed the hours of the day discovering and analyzing a world of dance vinyls that ultimately shaped him as a live act today. The product of this rebirth is mobilee's next album release, 'Eternal Return". The 12-incher is a new wave of And.Id and, to simplify it, an explanation of how he interprets dance music. Through nine tracks and one bonus number, And.Id generates a whirl pool of emotions for his audience as his first four tracks absorb the mind in an ecstasy of full-force body movement and dancing while a deeper story of his musical roots and influences take the vanguard role in the last five tracks. The album's production kicked-off with a miniature wooden spinning top on And.Id's studio desk. The greek meaning, 'Svoura", became the title of the number which unraveled the theme for the next three tracks. Jump to the third track and you may notice the powerful vocals of a globally acclaimed vocalist and house music diva of the 1990s. Listen closer and you'll recognize her lyrics. 'My Love' is a track inspired solely by And.Id's tour through the U.S. while 'They Say I Can't Fly' is a melancholic and poetic tale of high aspirations and dreams. The message is clear - do your thing.

Altogether Lost is a collaboration between the Bristol based experimental techno duo Emptyset and the Detroit vocalist Cornelius Harris aka Atlantis from Underground Resistance. Inspired by an early 20th century poem of mystical heritage, the project marks the first ever joint production by these three major capitals of electronic music and is backed up by a very friendly and creative label partnership between Emptyset´s label MULTIVERSE and from Berlin/Germany where both labels are going to release different versions of remixes of the original in a mutual promotion and release approach.

But it's back to the script on this one, with three original brand new tracks of Marco Shuttle's work. a very hypnotic, deep, athmospheric record as you would expect from The Shuttle at his best. an epic mesmerizing percussive long techno journey with subliminal jazzy elements on the A side.While on the B side The common themes are present also, but with 2 more straight tracks that use the same vocal sample with a very different flavour. Tasteful...very!

Time To Express presents its first release of 2014 with a stunning appearance by London-based Italian Marco Shuttle. Sing Like A Bird is a gorgeous, hypnotic techno anthem. Stretched out over almost 12 minutes, the track's lean groove teams up with a stunning vocal line. The listener is taken by the hand, slowly directed towards a high-flying crescendo. Peter Van Hoesen's remix takes the existing framework of the original and adds a dose of psychedelica to it. His interpretation emphasizes the trancy, hypnotic aspect of Marco's track. Several synth lines take turns twisting and shifting in and out of the mix, leading up towards a great buildup.

This time label boss Jacek Sienkiewicz goes under his alias reserved for club-oriented tracks, which is, well, Recognition. We got accustomed to Jacek's slight changes of style, or rather changes in his approach to music over the years, and this record is no exception: ditching his trademark, long, painstakingly elaborate and complex tunes in favor of probably the most straightforward, uplifting, fresh tracks in a long time. It is, that the rare attention to detail, rigorous, multi-layered arrangements are still there, but all four tracks are much shorter, each clocking in about six minutes. Also, that really thought-over arrangements feel far more spacey - like cleaning your desk after months of cluttering, getting rid of what's not needed and realizing that you have suddenly a neat, logical and what's most important - efficient workspace. All four tunes here are driving, uptempo club tracks, perfect for mixing in the peacetime: straight beats are knockout-effective, melodies swirl and twist around, Jacek's trademark bells and other metallic noises serve as additional percussive elements, and all is underpinned by background hums, noises, chants and chopped-up voice snippets. Fresh, vigorous, youthful party music from the most experienced Polish producer.

That killer Livity, tough Tempa and Hotlines, now this bomb for BH... tooling into London along the M4, last thing at night. The red wire is British Murder Boys; the green is Wiley. Exodus Blue sounds like a Berghain banger, with added low end; Return To The East glides back past the Wiltshire exits, at the end of the world.

the label say" Løt.te is Mehmet Irdel, a Turkish-born artist who has been a friend of The Bunker for a
long time. He's currently based in Brooklyn, where he co-runs Rote Productions, a company that releases music, graphic works, video compositions, and photography,
and takes a strong stance against the concept of intellectual property.
Irdel's early work consisted of soundscapes, noise, and power electronics.

Now, he'strying his hand at techno, with incredible results. The music of Løt.te is far more intricate than the looser, darker work he's known for under Rote Productions. The Løt.te project favors a more natural, analog feel; Irdel was disillusioned with the
recognizably digital sound of computers and software that's so prevalent in current electronic music.
We were deeply struck by the first two tracks he sent us, and decided to just roll with them, so that's what you get here. 'Pressure Chant' has immense energy and a
Surgeon-like shuffle that is just begging to be deployed for dancefloor use. On the flip side, "Private Transgressions" juxtaposes a dark, cinematic mood with a dubby bassline and synth stabs.

Irdel is also a prolific visual artist and designer, in addition to his work as a producer; he creates most of the graphic design and artwork for Rote Productions, and his art inspires his music.

John Beltran, class of '69, is one who have surfed the musical scene for the last 20 years with unforgettable and unclassifiable tracks.
Detroit Techno, jazz, ambient and electronica have all been part of Beltran's career, just like the unchartered territories which are released here with Soul Research.

Jack Fell Down—originally a production and DJ duo based out of Sheffield that now splits its time between there and London—has been around for a minute. James Vickers and Tony Craig (no Jack—sorry) released an excellent, albeit especially druggy, EP, on Home Taping Is Killing Music, back in 2012, which they followed with offerings for Manucci's Mistress, Dabit, and, most recently, Quintessentials. Finally, they've found their way to the other side of the Atlantic for their best record yet.

Epiphany starts off by clubbing you over the head. The titular track is unrelenting techno driven by chunky chords and frenetic hats. 'Blackmail' is more high-octane nastiness, though it does feel a bit looser and less aggressive than its companion.

Matrixxman's version of 'Overrated' (the original appears as a digital-only exclusive) is no less driven and energized, but the paranoia that fuels it is of a more austere variety. It's all looped, repeated madness, stacked in an orderly yet terrifying fashion. The 12' ends with 'Space Junk,' a rather melodious and strangely uplifting track, though one no less capable of blowing the roof off any club than its associates found on this slab of wax.

This record is JFD's perfect hand. It's equal parts party-starting mayhem, thoughtful throwback revelry, and classical reverence. That's the epiphany.

Christopher Scott Leary aka Ochre is someone who has established himself via his own means, namely his own bandcamp page, as well as on labels like Baselogic, Toytronic, with a stunning LP in 2004, Benbecula. As such, Dutch label Shipwrec have snapped him up for a fantastic new EP that showcases his style, which touches on ambient and downtempo as well as lushly melodic electronica, in all its glory. Like the last release, this vinyl comes lovingly prepared with a special sleeve designed by Nathaniel Reeves and is the sort of thing those who admire Boards of Canada will need in their collections. Up first on this EP is 'Paper Unicorn,' a grandiose bit of classically informed ambient made from glassy tinkles, sweeping synths and heavenly pads. 'Ark of Comfort' is a more charming bit of music, littered with synths and pads, chords and piano keys that all glow and glisten. 'Hivernal' is again a clean and crisp combination of digital sounds and synthetic textures that lurch and stretch in many directions at once. It fires your every synapse and 'Infinite Bookends' then gets all sombre insular and sensitive, with lots of open space and heavenly musical progressions.'Glassmaker ' is the most danceable cut here, with fierce drums, many layers of interlocked synths and then a Roel Funcken remix repurposes the thing as a dishevelled, broken and distorted bit of angry sound design. Fans of abstract otherworldly sound and digital textures will find lots to love here.

Terrarium, the debut EP from Belgian producer Ëlohim is the second release from Berlin based Vox Populi Records. It features two original tracks and two remixes from Deepneue and NGLY. It will be released on vinyl only.

A terrarium is a type of miniature plant ecosystem which is kept in glass containers which can be opened for maintenance and access the plants inside. The sealed container combined with the heat entering the terrarium allows for the creation of a small-scale water cycle. This is exactly what the opening track Field of Nettles and the follow up remix Field of Nettles (Deepeneue Interpretation) reproduce on the A-side: a musical and cyclical exploration of the deeper side of techno.

Ëlohim's A1 Field of Nettles, starts off with a constant lush chord pad progressing into a proper mixture of stomping drum patterns and polyrhythmic artifacts, juxtaposed to modulated synths riffs, created with his custom modular synth rack.

Deepneue, Portuguese contemporary dancer and Berlin resident, releases his first remix on Vox Populi Records imprint. On A2, he adds an uplifting melody and echoed hi-hats, expanding on the dreamy aspect of the track, thus creating a more atmospheric world to fall into.

On the flip side, we discover Germ, with its raw percussive textures, sci-fi like modular patterns and its throbbing looped sample, making it a perfect mindbender for the dance floor.

Closing the EP is the cutting edge B2 track by L.I.E.S. affiliate NGLY. Germ NGLY Satan's Bug Remix, inspired by the eponym novel by American essayist Scott Russell Sanders whose plot consists in the story of a germ warfare lab that has had an accident. The first theory is that one of the nasty germs has gotten free and killed several scientists. The big fear is that a more virulent strain, The Satan Bug (because all life can be killed off by it should it escape) may have been stolen.

This release therefore gives a musical interpretation to one of the most prevalent aspect of life and music: a cyclical odyssey. How contained life expands into an atmosphere, only for the germ to resurface, and take over in the end, only to start over again.

Following acclaimed releases on his own Fifth Wall imprint (Resident Advisor's label of the month December 2013), Brooklyn producer Hound Scales makes his White Asega debut with three gritty and hypnotic cuts of smokestack rave. Named for the
perverted preacher's daughter in Flannery O'Connor's Wise Blood, Sabbath Lillie Hawks continues the artist's exploration into the darker midnight reaches of house and techno, finding influence in African rhythms, chugging train lines,
Kate Bush and UK Jungle. The result is 'a soundtrack to blood soaked progress and confused futurism" where fractured warehouse grooves tug and tussle with pummeling piston kicks, abstract vocal edits and howling synths, marking a fierce
statement of intent from an important new name in electronic music. Pioneering UK duo Forward Strategy Group up the tempo with their sci-fi tinged remix of Thinner, blurring the harsher edges and warping the dark textures into a breathless and
bassy synth-led killer....

Sims unleashes four forward forward-thinking Techno cuts for 050.2, two of these receiving the remix treatment from Planetary Assault Systems and DVS1.

After having successfully introduced their new limited serie, the Im in Love crew steps up with their next numbered and silk screen printed release. Limitation to 50 vinyls only! The two tracks come from - Get Serious', a musical project created by Francesco Vacca, Stefano Cibabene and Michele Quagliati in 2010. The three Italians first started making music in Genoa in 2006, later they managed to get a residency in Bologna until they moved to Berlin in 2010.Their vision of strong detroit and dub influenced techno perfectly fits to the labels work as these tracks do: On the A-Side we have some analogue drum madness combined with melodic strings and beautiful fast dub chords. Surely that is a late night club banger! The B-Side comes with a heavy kick, some cool hi-hats and a deep detroitish atmosphere, created to make you fade away!

London-style house backed with a Skudge techno remix. Dixon's three originals romp between the jacking bass and nagging vocal stabs of 'Heirloom' to the darker warehouse mode of 'Park Row' and a deeper, dubbed-out play called 'The Things I Gave You'. Skudge bring up the rear with a driving minimal remix of 'Heirloom'

Northern Electronics' (label of Abdullah Rashim) Varg teams up with fellow Stockholm resident Hypnobirds for this LP. With this collaboration they meld icy northern techno with acid and dub. All the tracks are named after stops on Stockholm's Linje 19 off of which both the artists live.

Reaching the fifth and final release for the year, we are incredibly excited to present you ''Vortex'':
The EP has been constructed over an intense array of melancholic emotions, using noise, crunch and melodies for reinforcement. Every track expresses this in it's own unique manner, all 4 tracks being very different from each other creating contrast and variety throughout.
Let us begin with the A1 track, Instinct. This versatile ensemble of eclectic sound starts out with a bouncing beat and some noise slashes left and right, we quickly emerge into something as we dive deeper into the puddle of illusive acoustic. Tip toeing one by one slowly we are absorbed into a simple melody that suddenly fills in the empty space. As the depth of the creative abyss manifests, the melodies get thicker and thicker until it drops into a light release of calming tones, ending into a gentle release of soothing sound. Moving onto A2 track, Imaginary feelings. We start off with a rattle of kick drums, rumbling around creating a whirling loop. Slowly a couple of simple bells add up to the beat, preparing us patiently for what is to come. We gently enter a screech of noise that develops into some lush uplifting chords that slowly bring us to an explosion where everything is dispersed and everything is broken. We are left with one synth which will lead us throughout the rest of the journey, the track expresses something very melancholic, but light and uplifting. It does what it says on the tin Moving onto the B-side, B1, Twister. This minimal track, containing a whirling mass of repetitive crunch sound guides us swiftly by simple sequence hats throughout to keep our attention. The track although very simple, expresses and communicates something very abstract leaving you at the knees of personal interpretation. Finally we come to B2. Here we have a vortex of noise in different forms, floating, whirling and swirling around the spectrum like whips and lashes coming out from all directions, the attention on the bass has been reduced to keep the listener focused on the noise elements which guide you into the web of torment. As we dive into fog the noise piles up and slowly creates a nearly danceable groove, validated with the hi-hats. The track is fully noised up, funky, and does well to conclude the EP

The next instalment of this nine part series sees Mosaic take a diversion into darker techno territory with contributions from Ed Davenport, Aubrey and Ozka. Over the last few years Ed has been quietly gaining respect from those who like their house splashed with a good dose of techno. The Berghain regular's "Bloodchild" rides the fine line between both genres perfectly with a dark twisted bass line driven groove and eerie vocal line that typifies his unique sound. Next up is Aubrey who has provided a storming techno monster of a remix of Ed Davenport's unreleased "Islands." A very welcome return to the label after a 17 year break and when seen alongside his recent Ostgut Ton, Ferox and Metroplex appearances it is no wonder that people are calling 2014 his best year yet. Belgian techno wizkid David Nizet (aka Ozka) provides the closing track to the EP. Despite having recorded for the likes of Dave Angel's Rotation and Mowar this guy has been bubbling under the radar for some time . With forthcoming contributions to John Beltrans Dado and Arne Weinberg's Diametric coming up we are sure his talent won't go unnoticed for much longer . Reflecting the texture in their music the first release is a 3 track EP spanning various influences, building on the palette of sounds they have developed over the past few years.
"Jam One" see's the duo venture into emotive synthesised house drawing from the darkness of their Drum & Bass influences right into the sounds of Detroit & Chicago.

"Formation 131" removes any expectation of conformity leading directly into a heady break layered over dark atmospheric textures. The track builds on deep subs & distorted 808 hits juxtaposed with the dark emotion of early Jungle.
"Stagger" begins ominously layering chords and filtered piano stabs over solid drums gradually building in a trippy synth line, from here we get the low end basses & tight production we have come to expect from Mak & Pasteman.

AVAILABLE FROM NEXT WEEK. Masks, the duo of Alexis Georgopoulos (ARP, The Alps) and Max Ravitz (Patricia, Inhalants) debut on Opal Tapes with four tracks of limb twisting techno. Each piece expands into surprisingly complex and evolving workouts with Ravitz signature dusty blanket laid thick over most. 'Wormhole' bumps itself around over it's near 10 minute duration, layers folding and phasing into new forms yet always plumbed direct to the hips. 'Vapors' mantles itself on top of a gargantuan kick, sprinkling off blinking hats, and meloncholic pads, a dance floor hypnosis of breathing sound and liquid drum progressions. Opening the b-side 'Zebra pulls off the veil and opens the filter, brighter plucked tones shepherd the track into it's true form, techy but never too sharp, jutting and brukking with a sick funk. EP closer 'Fragile Feelings' winds energies down somewhat into a reflective and subtle bop. Tom roll down the steps in a glorious tumble, hugging a thin vein of drawn sound, the synthesiser yawns a gorgeous arc, an arc which guides the track down into landing. This is not outsider music, this is honest electronic music made by people who care and you can hear it at every single second.
