JR Seaton returns to Fabric's Houndstooth label with three tracks of futuristic techno

Call Super returns for his second Houndstooth release, with a highly rated FACT mix and DJ appearances at fabric, Berghain, Boiler Room and the recent PAN festival in NYC under his belt. 'Black Octagons' continues over three tracks Call Super's exploration of intricate, occasionally unsettling take on techno that he began on 'The Present Tense'

Yet another classic Master Reese production from the vaults. This time from way back in 1991.

"Speaker Punishing" was a stone cold Detroit killer that crossed over here in the UK and European rave scenes due to it's break-beat laden hardcore appeal, string quartet samples and incessant bass-line while it's flip-side "Feel The Mood" carries that after hours Detroit vibe over two different mixes (ably mixed by the legendary Marty Bonds) and still sounds amazingly fresh and current today some 20+ years later. Both tracks are essential weapons to have in one's DJ bag and display what a versatile producer Kevin Saunderson is with two totally different energies sharing the same slab of wax.

Taking reference from his debut liveshow in Berghain last summer, this EP is a firm return to the dancefloor.

On the A side, "Helping The Police With Their Enquiries" and "I've Had A Lovely Evening (But This Wasn't It)" provide 2 dense bass-heavy
techno workouts. On the flip, the eerie and intense "Into The Snake Pit" is a live version of a track He/aT has been playing in his DJ sets for a while.
The dubby, experimental ambience of "With Gay Abandon" closes out the EP.

Following on from the storming inaugural release alongside his tracks on Perc Trax and Earwiggle, Martyn Hare unleashes Emetic DNA 02. The A-side 'White on Grey' slap claps you right in the face and then drowns you in analogue acid. The B-side 'Centrifuge' is an industrial breakbeat 303 eating beast that certainly gets the damage done. Bravo.

Here we have a blistering new 4 track EP on Billy Nasty's label from the much loved Paul Mac. The EP also features a dark and driving remix from Underground Liberation boss Ritzi Lee who will be the next artist to appear on Tortured this year with a Paul Mac remix on there to boot !

Following his appearance (albeit in remixed form) on the debut 12" from Keyboard Masher's Pleasure Unit imprint, Norwegian eccentric Skatebard is given the honour of releasing the label's second EP. Apparently all three tracks are vintage cuts from the archive, previously unheard but original recorded straight to tape in his home studio. There's naturally much to enjoy, beginning with the Scandolearic-goes-rave synth-house madness of "React 2 Rhythm" - all urgent, swirling beats, epic synthesizer melodies and mid-'90s US garage influences. There's more surging, nu-disco goes-house fare to be found on "It Goes On & On (The Bassline)", while "Pingu" is a joyous chunk of chugging Scandolearica blessed with tactile shaker percussion and a jaunty, rock solid synth bassline.

The rhythm of YHA NETH is as menacing and as dangerous as drummers drumming with
sticks of live dynamite with a very short fuse. Fortunately this track is also blessed with a
mature undulating throb and a groovy baseline worth the name, which attempts, as heroes
usually insist on doing, to save the day. Fat melodies and grave voices counter pulsate be-
tween each beat, creating friction & sparks which could, at any minute, ignite the fuses and
blow all to Hell and Kingdom come. Tension is masterfully controlled at it's tightest. Sirens,
wailing warning all to get to the nearest bomb-shelter to take cover — but the dancers,
mesmerized, are incapable of moving away from the dangers of the dance-floor to safety.


Thomas T & Anish - YHA NETH - Kane Roth — REMIX
Kane Roth has been producing since 2006 and is, without doubt, currently one of the most
fructiferous artists in France. This somewhat masculine remix of YHA NETH is powerful, per-
cussive and assertive. The massive relentlessness in the baseline is not only uncompromising
but unapologetic to beat and reveals handsome traits such as ambition, pride, honor, com-
petitiveness and a sense of adventure — perfect pheromones to drive anyone into a dance
floor frenzy. So valiant is the track that, in fact, if one doesn't pay close attention to the
dainty, tell-tale signs, one will be willfully tricked into imagining that this creative artist actu-
ally has a beard , hairy chest and and a baritone voice. Binary gender trickery I warn! With-
out the intricate soundscapes embroidered into the silky melody, one would never have

HOMME is like a fiercely growling fauve, as free and wild as only big cats can get. Ready to
hiss, spit and scratch. Thomas T & Anish first unleash this nasty beast and then duly set out
to artfully tame the savage, unruly reverberation. Never using a whip to beat rhythm into the
animal, they adopt a more subtle, elegant manner of hypnotizing it with a sexy, sensually
mesmerizing voice. Slowly but surely they entice the reverb to lessen into a mere echo which
finally ebbs gracefully away into the faintest of vibrations.The growls, as regular as a metro-
nome, give way to a deep and sonorous purring. A groovy, almost sloppy baseline underlines
organic warmth and well being. The once-tiger-now-kitty-cat greets you at the door and de-
mands a pat and scratch.

Thomas T & Anish - HOMME - Luca Torre - REMIX
Samuel Severino aka Luca Torre, the prodigal son, has mastered a minimally elegant yet
subtle twist to Thomas T & Anish's HOMME, rendering it sonorously slow and lazy at first.
The surprise is in the sudden change of cadence, a note of urgency is painstakingly crafted
into each element, expertly transforming the atmosphere, as if pressure was being applied
(to the pure delight of the enchanted dance floor). As the track evolves, the hypnotic voices
which seemed lighter and airier also take on a more insistent tonality. Dark piano notes
which appear to be scattered nonchalantly here and there, succeed wonderfully in holding
the melody together ever so loosely actually weave the track into one.

Continuum describes an ongoing process that Arnaud Le Texier is following with his music since more than 20 years now.

Tokyo Wax is a Peckham based coterie of creative individuals who draw their influence from varied cross-section of Electronic music's heritage. Tokyo Wax intend to outlet music that both reflects and expands upon their influences spanning across spacious, loose-limbed headphone pieces and tough, floor-focused club tracks.
In to inaugurate the project are label heads Presence and Persona backed up by L.I.E.S and Russian Torrent Versions affiliate NGLY who collectively turn in a package bearing flecks of Dub, percussion-lead House and tenebrous, left-of-centre Electronica.

In late 2014 Infrastructure will release 'Function - Recompiled - Various Works & Pseudonyms 1995 - 2012', the double CD, 28 track compilation collecting classics, rarities and essential David Sumner aka Function productions from the last two decades.Two vinyl releases have preceded this, the third connected with the Recompiled project - VEX / DMO (INF-014), and the Synewave Reissues Part I (INF-016). After making his Motech debut in 2014, serving up an EP (MT-066) and taking on various remix duties, French DJ/Producer P-Ben presents his Motech Records full length debut with "Influence". The full length release has become somewhat of an enigma in the electronic music realm, replaced with quick two-track digital releases and fast release EPs. Even more enigmatic is the dynamic electronic music full length release that contains both tracks that one would play in a DJ set and actually sit down and listen to (and enjoy) said record end-to-end in their living room. P-Ben's "Influence" satisfies both of these requirements. The album eases us into the mood and casts our minds awash in electronic waves with "Introduction". "Fifteen Years There Was Bones", "Analog Trip" and "July" will satiate the electronic music aficionado as a listener, allowing us to drift away and immerse ourselves in P-Ben's production quality and mood. As the album's title implies, there are elements of "Influence" throughout this record. Odes to the Chicago deep house/classic house sound are apparent in tracks like "From a South Place", "Old Soul Music" and "Ultimate" which goes back as far as perhaps the Warehouse or even the Music Box's disco roots. Tracks such as "Good News", single "This Song is the Way", "Another Way" and "Bang" are all rhythmic and driving throwbacks to the days of full length releases such as Jeff Mills' "Waveform Transmission" series or the seminal release from Underground Resistance, "Interstellar Fugitives" in that the tracks are very listenable, yet, could easily find their way into any DJ set.

'Somebody' is an insistent, throbbing production championed by many a DJ in 2013 including Daniel Bell, MCDE, Deetron, Ben Klock, Bicep, NIna Kraviz & Guy Gerber.
Hypnotic acid bass pulses under shifting cymbals & claps with jacked-up, penetrating snare breakdowns. Simple, classic & effective.
Following his recent excursion on the Ann Aimee imprint Mosca remixes for the flip. Dropping the tempo he indulges in a burning bass heavy affair, stripping the minimal original even further back & subtly crafting the parts to create a spacious, heads-down groove. A masterful rework indeed.

Uncto's seminal 2013 release Pain was an uncompromising exercise in rhythmical brutality amidst a conflux of themes of suffering, industry, man, and machine.
The record now sees itself reinterpreted and reimagined under the auspices of some of the scene's most eminent and accomplished forerunners in what is perhaps, as it arrives on an opulent red double-vinyl format, the label's most ambitious addition to its catalog to date.

Long-time trailblazers Exium first take on 'Dirty Minds' as they apply their unequalled peak-time treatment. While retaining the driving force of the original, the Spanish duo transmute its somber sense of narrative into a singular and infective pattern that unrelentingly maintains its intensity throughout. In contrast, Frenchman Mondkopf's reconstruction is a radical departure from its progenitor, almost as if the merciless titular oppressor ('Schinder') has been injected with an empathogenic truth serum and made to face the toll of his deeds. Serving as his final penance, the resultant insuppressible melodic radiance gushes to the fore as powerfully as his remorse and tears.
Continuing on the second record, Canadians Orphx draw upon the immense and unwieldy cyclicality of 'Judas Cradle' as they deconstruct the torture device into a prolonged yet unfaltering dirge. Harnessing the raw power of the original, they adroitly fuel and layer the modular solemn synths of the drawn-out nine minute epic. Finally, the unequivocal master of industrial cannonry, Ancient Methods (DE), takes on and reins in the unyielding beast of 'It,' leaving the monster not only tamed but fully subjugated to his will. Now capable of executing the most inscrutable order, itsees itself violently degenerated to the barest of elements and recombined anew, with the cadence of its frame shifted and staggered to the striding rhythm of a being more machine than flesh. Providing solace and closure are Uncto themselves, as they complement the compositions with two droning interludes.

Techno legend Marco Bailey debuts on Amazing Records with an
incendiary track and an uncompromising remix along with fellow Belgian superstar Redhead. The long-time veteran shows here his straightforward talent and his unique production skills: his well-documented release list goes back to the mid-nineties, spanning almost two decades of underground music, and has brought him to play at some of the most acclaimed festivals and parties worldwide such as Tomorrowland, Time Warp, Awakenings and I Love Techno. His guest appearances at Ibiza's Space have become a staple in the white island's scene, and his dj performances are in steady demand. Label owners MiniCoolBoyz team up with Italian sensations NHB for their own take on Bailey's tune, and the VA also features a special contribution by Milan's badass Giorgio Rusconi. "Stir It Up" opens with a vibrating percussive groove and a crescendo offiltered vocals that explode into a bass driven relentless swinging rhythm, while the remix is a darker rework with a mammoth chugging kick drum and hypnotic twitching synth stabs which give out a sinister and creepy vibe. "Pulsar"'s atmospheric techno and rollickin bounce lead through a spaced out journey, whereas Bailey and Redhead's remix is upbeat and filled with galloping sounds and big analog pulses. Kowton's reimagining of Paul Woolford's classic cut sees the light of day on wax. Swivelling outside and in, popping upside and around - the coveted Bristol producer behind Livity Sound leaves an indellible mark on a notorious tune. Includes both beatdown and beatless versions.

The Swedish trance duo Son Kite is back, releasing their first album in ten years. And they are on a mission.
"Dancing is a very important ritual. Our main mission as artists is to make people get into this trance state", they say.
Since the release of their third album "Colours" in 2004, Marcus Henriksson and Sebastian Mullaert have been focusing on their other project Minilogue, touring the world and gaining increasing popularity in the house and techno scene.
With "Prisma", released on November 17th and consisting of seven tracks made between 2007 and 2014, the duo leaps back to the endless energy and enthusiasm they felt when they first started making music together in 1996. And back to what it's all essentially about, according to the two musicians: Getting into the all-important dance ritual and reaching the trance state.

The restless energy on the dancefloors has increased over the last ten years, the duo points out. Dj-sets are filled with incessant peaks, hunting for explosions and "hands in the air" moments. The crowd gets addicted to this hit effect, projecting restless energy back to the dj who in turn starts using bass drops and similar ego-boosting tricks every 5 minutes, trying to please the crowd and harvest their reactions.
"Dancing for eight hours and really uniting with the music is a reminder that this is how it could be with everything you do. It's a tool to really connect to life. The sound of our music is formed by this aim", Sebastian says.
Releasing the album on vinyl has been very important to the duo, as well as using analogue equipment in making the tracks.
"The analogue equipment like the drum machines and the sequencers are affected by their surroundings, by all the vibrations and the feelings in the room and by you standing next to them. With the analogue equipment your access to the subconscious is a lot more direct. And that's the beauty of it. To express what is inside of you and let other people feel that. That's what it's all about," Marcus says.

Ukrainian duo Woo York blast back to Soma with yet more hypnotic, analogue based Techno with the Siberian Night EP. The duo are on fire right now after a string of releases on their new home label of Soma and this ep is backed up with a remix from the Glasgow based Edit Select who bringing his own, unique stylings.

Siberian Night gets going in true Woo York fashion as a looped out, growling acid bass line has things moving a full pace from the get go. Vangelis-esq pads sear through the heart of this monster giving a retro feel while Woo York really work the percussive end of things to keep this tool kicking.

The broken beat Iron Curtain moves things in a lighter direction as a subtle synth line breathes soul into the big, bouncing low end. 909 drums get rings moving as subtle flicks in the filter bring the synth line to life opening slowly into the break before going back into head down - fist pumping action.

Edit Select turns up on Soma once again for remix duties and does another fantastic job of title track Siberian Night. Working on the principle of less is more, Tony keeps things minimalistic in his approach but manages to firmly stamp his authority on the track. A rolled out, hypnotic baseline leads the way as ethereal pads slowly work their way in through the spine of the remix.

Powerful techno once again from Woo York as they continue to devastate with their raw, analogue sound!

A strong and versatile EP from Chucky Bounce, who is one of the virtual producers from the Detroit production collective MDEC (Music Dance Every Chance). Not much info on who is behind the alias, but whomever it is has blessed us with a stunning debut.

High:Controla is a Vinyl and Digital label which has been founded in 2014.
The label sounds fuses elements of Underground and Techno with more organic styles to bring it special.

Hessle Audio are excited to announce the release of the self-titled debut album by Pearson Sound, aka label co-head David Kennedy. Characteristically minimalist in approach, its nine tracks use a handful of elements to craft mesmerising, self-contained worlds, alive with motion and near-subliminal detail: from vast and inky landscapes, to electrifying rhythm tracks, where layers of percussion and bass tumble over one another like rocks in a landslide. Recorded between 2013-4, Pearson Sound documents a distinct phase of Kennedy's studio explorations. "I had a signal chain set up that I was really happy with, and I started sending my machines through the same processes" he says. Expanding upon the techniques underpinning his recent REM and Starburst 12"s, its tracks emerged swiftly through improvised jam sessions, some were captured in a minimum of takes, while others later took shape through extensive sculpting and post-processing. "A lot of it was made by feeding the the same sounds between two different pieces of equipment and they'd end up feeding back between each other and snowballing. On some tracks it's about harnessing that and taking it to the brink before it disintegrates, and some of them are about just letting it go full-blown out of control." The result is a record of striking contrasts: bold, stark and visceral, yet also subtle, harmonically complex and deceptively playful. After the Retrofuture Compilation was released, including 8 tracks from newcomer artists from Madrid paying homage to One Club, the logical move was to present a collection of remixes by already established artists from Spain s Capital city. Released in 2 vinyl Eps, Retrofuture Remixes 1 & 2 includes remixes from some of the most relevant electronic artists of the Spanish scene in the last 20 years.

Track 1: Friendly People, aka Alex Under, remixes Smokeland by Samuel Wallen. With his landmark funky and hypnotic techno sound, Friendly People builds the track slowly with the hat loop, the funky bass, an obsessive synth stab and a spacey synth pad, keeping the drum kick filtered and subtle. The track breaks when the kick is released and, soon, the driving rides take it to dancefloor killer levels. Superb!

Track 2: Wavesound remixes Detroit Beat 2014 by ROB136 taking it to a maximum point of intensity. Stomping Kick-Clap, a deep sub bass and the funky groove of Chicago techno are the foundations over which a playful acid-like synth takes you dancing and jumping. Driving rides are almost a tension pad here, and the synth changes sequence becoming even more playful. New shit with an old flavour, peak time!!

Track 3: Pelacha remixes Steel Landscape by Buenavida: Pelacha starts with a banging drum section and a subtle mysterious pad. Different synths ascend and hit you, the track grows in intensity and then breaks to introduce a hypnotic Detroit like stab. Dense, thick and solid, this is a serious techno track from beginning to the end.

Track 4: Biotech remixes MCN by DemuFF. Biotech takes a subtle and hypnotic approach and builds the track slowly but surely with a goovy drum section and subtle synths. Tension grows and the track breaks with ghostly voices and full hypnotism.

If you peeked his recent Instant Broadcast LP on Delsin you'll know that he runs the whole gamut from the sample based broken beat leanings of How to Mind your Own, to the frenetic techno sound of Pressure Bumps via the melodic Aphex style vibes of She Is. And thats just the A side. All in all, a rewarding listen, a dense layered EP - a collage of a whole spectrum of influences that fits nicely into the All City no style canon.

Through out history, there has a been a growth of intellectual thoughts, thoughts that makes us different from other living creatures. Among those thoughts, we see familiar rules of moral and ethics in many historical contexts such as in law and religion, among warriors and even pirates. These sets of rules often have the intent to give humans a guidance in life but also shed light on our own responsibilities. Sometimes, these honor codes seems to have the purpose of enhancing the moral aspect of an even deeper unethical situation such as a soldier might find himself in.

Going back in history, we can see that the ideas are not new and that the intellectuals of ancient societies have tried to lived by a generic set of ethical codes and thereby reaching a higher and uplifted level in life. Rules such as the Ten Commandments found in the Bible or the Ten Precepts in Taoism. In almost every kind of religion you will find these codes similar to each other. In the Moral Code of Communism you will find the political equivalent of these codes, all though these codes speaks in terms of the relation of a person to the society, rather than in terms of personal virtues.

The most common of all rules known today is the Golden Rule. It is one of the first philosophical ideas known to mankind and has existed for thousands of years: One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself. A more intriguing code of conduct governing pirates is the article II of captain John Phillips: If any Man shall offer to run away, or keep any Secret from the Company, he shall be marooned with one Bottle of Powder, one Bottle of Water, one small Arm, and Shot.

French producer Traumer returns with a fresh four-track EP this October, entitled 'Trudge' and
coming via French label A-Traction Records, with remix by Madben (KMS / Bedrock)

Romain Reynaud, better known to most as Traumer is gradually becoming one of the driving forces in
underground house and techno out of France. Reynaud's recent release 'Dedust' on Loco Dice's Desolat
imprint saw huge support from the likes of Gerd, Ewan Pearson, Fred P and Neville Watson, Laurent Garnier, Agoria, Carl Cox which stands
as testament to the quality of his output. Here we see Romain push on with a fresh four-tracker via Marc
Ayats A-Traction Records.


Opening the release is title track 'Trudge', a hypnotic mood-driven composition with an ever-blooming feel
throughout its nine-minute duration. Traumer employs dusty percussive sounds and a weighty kick drum
to create the bumpy groove, while warbling bass licks, menacing synth hooks and processed vocals are
layered up to create an intricate progressive feel. Following is 'Underlying' which takes a different route,
this time going into deeper realms with floaty pad lines, jangling rhythms and rumbling sub tones, while
classic dub techno stabs are thrown into the mix to create a gritty and understated composition.


First up on the flip side of the EP is 'Rodeo', tipping the focus over to a warm electronica feel fuelled by an
amalgamation of noodling guitar licks. Traumer's signature rugged drum lines are still prevalent but the
tripped-out vocal murmurs and instrumental aspects take the reins here to generate a raw and
psychedelic cut. 'Perciasif' then closes the package, upping the energy levels with a cutting techno vibe
achieved through rolling tom and snare hits, elongated low-end tones and stuttering vocal chops to round
off the package with a punch.

Hodge is one of those rare producers keeping the quality on point while unleashing a near constant stream of music. Making his debut on One Records, Montreal's Paolo Rocco gets set to release the exceptional 'Gates Of Sand' due to be released in time for summer sun. The release is completed with three killer remixes at the hands of Jack Wickham, Ed Davenport and Adam Shelton.

Paolo Rocco is resident of the notorious Stereo club and new Stereo bar in Montreal. Alongside his talents as a DJ, Paolo has proved his worth as a producer with releases and remixes on the likes of Real Tone, Saved and Get Physical. This month a new EP is about to drop on Terence:Terry's La Vie En Rose imprint followed by this essential release on One Records.

A staple part of the family, Jack Wickham delivers yet another stellar addition to the catalogue. A star in the making Jack has releases forthcoming on Moscow Records and on Richie Hawtin's Minus for an Enter compilation later in the summer. Past releases can be found on the likes of Overall Catwash Records. Resident of the iconic System night in his home town of Leeds and playing gigs internationally Jack is beginning to make a real name for himself in the industry.

Over on the B-side Berghain and Panorama Bar favourite Ed Davenport is warmly welcomed onto the label with his remix. Living in Berlin Ed is not only a highly talented producer and engineer but also runs the brilliant Counterchange record label. Alongside releasing music on his own imprint his productions can be found on the likes of NRK and Liebe Detail. Upcoming releases can be seen on Steve O'Sullivans Mosaic Split series and a collaboration with Function on his Infrastructure label will also soon be released.

Sphere Gear is the latest chapter in a musical journey that began in 1999 with Weekend World Recordings and more recently evolved into Shadow Story, the label and home of Bradford duo Martin Cartledge and Alexander Church, aka Dronelock, and Serbian duo Boriz Noize and Dekode, aka Ontal. Operating as an offshoot of Shadow Story, the Sphere Gear imprint will release just 10 limited-press vinyl releases in its existence.

Dronelock kick off Sphere Gear's debut outing with 'Theia', a 5-track EP that delves into the darkest reaches of the duo's abstract electronic world. The title track is a potent, claustrophobic opener, with chopper blades, caustic drones and eerie synth shimmers making for a turbulent and unsettling trip. 'Morphia' offers an antidote, washing over the senses with its all-consuming, ethereal ambience, before the menacing electro of 'The Oath' drags you right back out of the dream state.

'In Human Form' tests the senses further, a schizophrenic soundscape that balances dead silence and abrasive noise, leaving the EP to conclude with the dystopian techno march of 'Once Again', an unruly kick drum call-to-arms.

All five tracks will be available on the limited edition vinyl release, while 'Theia' and 'The Oath' will also be available as a digital download.

Having completed a landmark year in 2011 with the labels 15 Year anniversary celebrations (including a 12-date club tour and 28 track various artist compilation), Drumcode gets back to the future in 2012 with a busy schedule of releases. Followers of Drumcode over recent times will recognize some familiar names within the schedule with projects from Adam Beyer & Joseph Capriati, Alan Fitzpatrick, Kaiserdisco and Ben Sims; whose 'Smoke & Mirrors' album was a 2011 highlight for Drumcode and for many others within the techno scene. Drumcodes DC Ltd series is home to the seminal labels more underground material. An outlet for the type of unfussy, primal music that has always been the underlying foundation of techno, but separated from the main brand in a way that is meant to highlight the continued importance of the true underground within a techno scene that has become less defined by its roots and more concerned with commercial success. Releasing infrequently and only available on limited edition vinyl, DC Ltd will feature contributions from Drumcodes roster of artists alongside new signings and re-issues of never-before-on-vinyl Drumcode tracks. Eyes Wide Open sees Fitzpatrick on typically bombastic form, albeit within a sparser framework of sounds that include chugging industrial rhythms, reverberating metallic frequencies and wonky harmonic keys in addition to Alans trademark heavy-funk vibes. Eyes Wide Shut retains all the same musical elements with the exception of the ride cymbals and the main stab sound being fully closed; providing a dryer, tighter alternative that some DJs may find gives the track a more workable dynamic within their sets.

With her single 'A Matter Of Time' Dillon sent out a wonderfully fragile prelude to her second album 'The Unknown' on BPitch Control. For the remix EP Dillon has allowed four genuine masters of their trade to lay hands on the original: Marcel Dettmann, Anstam, Planningtorock and Monokle.
Janine Rostron, aka Planningtorock, manipulates Dillon's voice in a similar way to her own productions, giving it an almost genderless breadth. The interplay with retro-sounding percussion and accentuated bass sounds gives rise to an extremely versatile anthem. While Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann initially extends Dillon's vocals, the industrial slipstream provides a space for a loop monster à la Dettmann - raw, primal and dirty. Although his positively ghostly sounds dominate his 'A Matter Of Time' remix, the piano chords in the epilogue bring the original to mind again. Anstam, from Modeselektor's 50 Weapons family, applies his trademark sound design to his interpretation, lending Dillon's voice an almost reverent glow among the hectic light of IDM abstractions, organ pathos and experimental leftfield verve. The Russian producer Monokle begins his remix as an ambient piece, before the fat breakbeats transform the original into a pumping track where dreamlike synths and a deeper bassline concuct a glittering hybrid.

Recorded Live in Slovenia on March 30th 2013 this double CD release captures John laying down an intense peak time set spread over 2 cd`s, Featuring 27 tracks of techno and tech house including the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Booka Shade, Boys Noize, Josh Wink, Len Faki, Deetron and Pig&Dan to name a few.

2nd blast from Mr Anderson's Inimeg label is again 4 joints heady house explorations, w/3 by Joey, & a lead-off from Jus-Ed.

0Man of mystery, A Sagittariun, may not be the first, nor the last, in a long lineage of techno producers to go undercover and under a veil of anonymity, but the West Country artist doesn't use this cloak to stir up any hype, quite simply the music does the talking, and since 2011, has released a breath taking selection of music on his own Elastic Dreams label.

And so the 'archer' lands on HypeLTD after only one other foray onto labels other than his own (2014's 'Lost Cities' EP for secretsundaze). The EP's centerpiece is '3-4-3', coming here in two versions. The Original Mix combines the usual Sagittariun heady mix of driving breakbeat techno and warm synth modulations but in a more unsettling and distorted setting. Sounding like some long lost European techno record from the vaults of R&S Records or similar, the track takes no prisoners, its melody line designed to melt a few braincells whilst the beats clatter way with aplomb.

Former Underground Resistance soldier, Rolando, steps up on the first of the remixes of '3-4-3', keeping it on the straight and narrow with an intense and to the point version. His recent output on Ostgut Ton and his own R3 label has highly impressed, and his remix here continues with this quality in his productions. Hypercolour boss, Alex Jones, weighs in with a heavyweight and pounding chugger, it's bassline suitably wigging out over the post-industrial clang of the sturdy beats.

'Delta House' is quite a different proposition altogether. The wind up of Phillip Lauer's album debut 'Phillips' (still available in all formats including gatefold double vinyl) is in the hands of NYC remix/production outfit Runaway and Versatile's very own I:Cube. Runaway do their best to turn 'Tentatious' into one of those early morning deep house dubs that you could find on the b-side on vintage designer labels of their hometown. Music for baby powdered wooden floors. I:Cube does the opposite and manufactures a bumper car boogie beat that also works as a UK rave dub. He likes to move it. On the flip, Lauer himself turns in the hidden album track 'Boringtone' - his very own secret ode to the Café del Mar - and the super exclusive smashing pumpkin that is 'Highdimes". 100% Overground melodies

The nose is truly a work of art. First the classic peaty smoke but so distinctly understated.

Confident in it's maturity. The salty pineapple citrus is next coupled with a refined lemon- lime toffee tartness. And finally a whiff of fresh cucumber sprinkled with the loveliest of white pepper. Oh, yes. This is what we've been waiting for!

The creamy mouthfeel is laced with intense black peppers but then mellows out to give you honey, lemon and chocolate with a dash of tobacco. The long peppery finish is fruity with a hint of limestone.

MindTrip is pleased to introduce Part 2 of its new various artists series 'From The Lab to The Club'. For this EP, 4 artists - both established and emerging - were selected to contribute music which embodies the spirit of the series. This release opens in the strongest possible way, with 2 of techno's heaviest hitters, Chris Liebing and Pfirter joining forces to produce the driving, heavy and hypnotic '420. Notably, this track signals a welcome return to production for Chris Liebing and shows his ability to create strong, dancefloor techno has not diminished. Next up is the highly talented Japanese producer Yuuki Sakai (Subsist, Warm Up Records) with 'Ballat', a relentless, percussive track enhanced by subtle, textured elements. There is no letup on the B side, which opens with the mysterious Obscure Shape's 'Back in Black'. This track promises to yield an intense and building atmosphere, which almost - but not quite - threatens to kill all those who dare to defy its menacing sounds. This strong release is completed with a contribution from UK producer Dax J entitled 'Revelations'. Make no mistake, this is an intense, compelling track, which builds with a strength which is not for the faint hearted. This is MindTrip music!

Farbwechsel's first vinyl release has arrived, and it's a real international effort. The renowned Hungarian label's record features five artists from four countries on four tracks. Gazing through the Venetian blinds, it's the label's promising talent, Route 8 kicking it off with a vibing, 90s inspired house cut. Next up, Lumigraph and Patricia reset with a slow-churning, acid-flavoured techno. It's the sort of track you would expect to be played on an endless loop in all coal mines 500m below ground level. On the back side, Farbwechsel's founding father, S Olbricht gets in motion with the weirdly melodic, claustrophobic Flanhat reminding of Actress at his best. To close it off, it's another label head, Basic House of Opal Tapes fame testing your stamina with the EP's most direct, uptempo track. Certainly coherent but extremely diverse, Farbwechsel's first venture into the world of black plastic discs promises a bright future.

The tracks on this ep represent the climate of clubbing yesteryear when it was normal for djs to play such things as Ministry, Front 242, or Nitzer Ebb next to a disco track next to a breakbeat track and so forth and to say these tracks could be heard somewhere like Medusa's would not be off base. Driving, engaging and downright gnarly we can only hope these sounds foreshadow things opening back up on the floor as time pushs forward.

Hat-trick for Dense & Pika with three killer releases on their home label Hotflush, all scored with a display of mercurial melodic flair. With all the hallmark analogue, dust-treated sounds, the record kicks into gear with the unpredictably lush piano refrain of 'Colt', betraying a level of sensitivity not normally associated with the boldly direct duo. Elsewhere, they're as visceral as expected. 'Black Deep' a demonic workout, all kitchen-sink percussion and body-blow bass, whilst 'Vomee' cruises along a bed of sparse atmospherics, dub-indebted stabs and bastardised vocals. Rounding off the EP is their most refined work to date. 'Airless (Live)' recorded in one take with live percussionists, woodwind and modular synthesizers, exhibiting their latent versatility and teasing at the possibilities yet to come. Recommended!

We celebrate Intacto's 10-year anniversary and welcome back co-owner Dylan Hermelijn aka 2000 and One with our 54th release on wax.

2000 AND ONE (aka Dylan Hermelijn) has been on the forefront of electronic dance music since the late eighties. His pioneering vision across more than two decades of music genres now ranks him as one the most versatile, in-demand international artists, commanding weekly performances on the house, techno and tech house global club and festival circuits.  
 
Not only recognised as a magnet for the clubbing crowds, he is also credited for championing the sounds of Amsterdam's new school DJ and Producer generation and propelling the scene's visibility into the international club headlights with his six Amsterdam labels, of which he co-owns Intacto Records with Shinedoe.

A pole shift involves a sliding of the earth crust over the mantle. Once the shift has occurred, there is a different area of the globe at the north and south poles, which is therefore called a polar shift. A wild theory suggests that these polar shifts are occurring due to a 10th planet in our solar system called Niburu, or Planet X. This planet rotates our sun once every 3600 years and is entering our system within the following years.

2000 and One has now composed 3 themes inspired by this polar shift phenomena: Shift 1 and 2 in a dirty and raw Chicago/ Detroit fashion, Shift 3 comprising Electro Boogie beats pushed to the max and a bonus track called 'Fused', which also appeared on the 10 Years Intacto Records compilation.

The M_Rec Ltd Grey Series offshoot aims at bridging the gap between a club track and a self-sustaining musical journey and this new concept EP by Edanticonf is another soulful and mesmerizing experiment where ambient, proggy electronics and techno blend together. Think of it as a parenthesis within an album, as the tracks work around a very clear idea, meant to be absorbed and examined in sequence. Having started the year in strong fashion, fighting 'The Clone Wars' on his own Rekids imprint in January before following that with the Rødhåd-remixed 'Repeat Myself' on Work Them, Matt Edwards aka Radio Slave continues his 2014 ascension with his Nonplus+ debut 'Don't Stop No Sleep'. Another pared-down techno workout, 'Don't Stop No Sleep' is a classic Radio Slave roller imbued with the tougher edge of his earlier techno productions such as Grindhouse and Screaming Hands, retaining the hallmarks of his most influential work whilst updating it with his now trademark energetic house style.

Hitting a particularly fertile patch with his music, A Sagittariun continues to ride the night skies with some heavy doses of cosmically sprinkled techno and kinetic electronica. 'Aruba (Overhead Mix)' is a seductive jam of Nuyorican (tech) soul, cloaked in warm synths with a breathy, human quality and deft melodies to ensure a smooth takeoff for the passengers. Lead cut on the vinyl is 'The Code Breaker', channeling some enchanting techno moods and themes on a no gimmicks, no cheap thrills, head & foot stomper, whilst 'Triangulum' prefers a mechanical rhythm of robotic tech funk, syrupy melodies and acidic motifs to deliver a dance in outer space.

Während "Orbiting" sich auf eine extraterrestische Zukunft konzentrierte, befasst sich Guindo diesmal mit der Zukunft unseres Planeten. Das Konzept einer geordneten Zukunft mit System, ohne Platz für Ausbrecher, taucht im Kopf des Hörers schon beim ersten Hören auf. Als bestes Beispiel dient "Composer", ein Track mit Fließband-Groove. Guindo benutzt im ganzen Album verspielte Electro-Synths (echter Electro, siehe Detroit), die den Hörer in einen Trance-Zustand versetzen, der durch die peitschenden Percussions von Tracks wie "Each Other" (Vorsicht, Dancefloors, Bombenalarm!) gestört wird. Während "Orbiting" sehr durch Guindos Kindheit im XIIIten Bezirk von Paris (Chinatown) mit vielen hohen Gebäuden und schmalen Gassen beeinflusst ist, blickt "CENTRUM" auf die Zeit nach seinem Debut zurück: Viele Gigs in der ganzen Welt verteilt, zum Großteil auf Techno-Parties, auf denen Guindos Bass- und Footwork-Einflüsse wohl meistens zu kurz kamen. Auch das ist hörbar auf der Platte, die sich tatsächlich im Gegensatz zu "Orbiting" von Bass und Footwork wegbewegt - natürlich nicht zu 100%! Aber Ambient und Techno sind die Genres, in dessen Richtung Guindo sich dieses Mal eher orientiert. "CENTRUM" ist keine reine Clubplatte, die von vorn bis hinten mit 'Brettern' vollgestopft ist (obwohl fähige DJs trotzdem viel Stoff finden werden). Fans von "Orbiting" werden in keinem Fall enttäuscht sein von "CENTRUM", einer Platte, die auch Techno-Veteranen imponieren wird.

The two chiefs Butch & Amir are very happy about this latest signing for their label bouq: Cuartero from Malaga in Spain is currently one of the hottest tech house hopes with his releases on VIVa, Noir and Moon Harbour (in cooperation with Sabb) and this bouq release should definitely mark his next milestone. Amir even took the chance to do his first remix on bouq for more than 2 years.

Eran Ben Zeev - Fivr
Weaving through a minefield of artfully placed bass drums, the kick tries again and again to free itself from the grip of the reverb. Sometimes it wins the dance floor battle for the Crown of the Beat but also sometimes experiencing devastating loss as the bass is relentless and has vowed never to give up. It sweeps you away and gives your body to the rhythm as a sacrifice.

"Calipso" (Greek a, 'which hides')- Queen of the beautiful island of Ogygia, where Odysseus got stranded when his boat wrecked. Forseven long years, she kept the hero hypnotized. Calypso tried Odysseus to forget his previous life, and offered him immortality and eternal youth if he stayed with her on the island. But soon, the hero got tired of her attentions, and began missing his wife. With Athena's help, Odysseus managed to escape and continued his journey. It is said that Calypso eventually died of grief. "Ritmo Oblicuo Negativo" is based on the theory of the multiverse,in which there are a number of parallel worlds like ours, which are very close to each other, but with the difference that those other universes may have slight differences concerning laws of physics that would affect space and time. What would happen if at some point our reality and another coincided at the same rhythm

As part of longstanding no wave duo Naked On The Vague, murky girl group Knitted Abyss and extraterrestrial drone project Half High, Lucy Phelan has been a critical force in the Sydney DIY scene for over 10 years. Under the solo veil of Lucy Cliche, she annihilates with these four wavey techno tracks that honour her noise and punk ethos. With pounding drum sequences, draining synths and emotionless vocals echoing Cosey Fanni Tutti, her dark dreams sabotage our calculations of modern dance while demonstrating how physicality and the ethereal can interact.

With the final release this year from Mad Eye records, Adam Beyer has produced an incredibly strong EP. The first track on the EP, Eye Contact, uses rhythmic vocal stabs to give it an infectious rhythm and groove. The second track, Raspberry Cave, uses a melodic synth-line and pad to create a dark, absorbing roller. On the digital release, another further two tracks have been added. Salvage Dub uses a funky bass line and rhythmic chords to full effect to gain the club's attention. Cosa Mira, rounds of the EP by using percussion to construct an energetic rhythm with the help of some dreamy stabs to create a moody characteristic.

Thrashes of guitar sit alongside steely percussion, showing restraint and elegance in the process. Electric pulses wreak havoc on the senses, with earth shuddering bass & kicks providing the raw physicality which has become synonymous with his work

Indonesian hardcore band Senyawa board the Morphine Records mothership in early 2015, with a stunning upcoming album "Menjadi" (doser025LP). A preview appears here in the shape of a an extraordinary album track replayed by Charles Cohen's on his Buchla Music Easel. While enjoying a few months residence in Germany, Mr Cohen conducted a ritual-esq and tonal re-adaptation - flushing the song through layers of spaced out orchestrated grooves. Meanwhile in the US, explorer of the deepest depths, Robert Turman, smashed Charles' Conundrums into small bits and recrafted it in his own masterful manner. He seems to channel a similar ability of melting down the metal in a sound, and forging it into new and expanding shapes.

KANGAROO SKULL is the solo project of Rohan Rebeiro - drummer of renowned Australian trio MY DISCO. Heavily percussive and rhythmically complex, KANGAROO SKULL meticulously pieces together soundscapes within Max MSP, with an end result that conceals in its raw simplicity the intensity of the process. With multiple tours outside Australia already behind him, Australian dancefloors have been keenly awaiting a first release. PALACE OF NOTHING is his much-anticipated debut - four tracks that convey a sophistication far beyond what could be expected from such a new producer.

White Asega co-­owner Jack Dixon wrote New Curtains after a friend who was coming wildly off the rails told him he was a good producer but his tunes were boring. The original version was really sparse and about 300bpm. When Jack moved to New York the parts got lost, so he remade the track a dozen times. This was the version we all liked best, although Jack never wants to hear it again in his life. It sounds tough and tropical. Our friend Troy Gunner remixed it, and turned it into something so loud and slamming it will knock your teeth out.

After telling Jack to stop making boring music, Mark Kodiak spent two horrendous years working with Jamie Kodiak on a song they've called Taargus. It nearly destroyed their friendship forever but we think it was worth it. It has brutal weapon sounds, nasty snares and an incessant 'yo' that has been described as 'annoying and unnecessary'. The artist Tom Pounder has created a blinding video for it that contains brand new colours. French born bass genius Bambounou stepped up to remix the track, taming the wild stems into a hypnotic early­morning House stepper.

It took us approximately 2000 exhausting Facebook group chats, four cross­Atlantic flights and one divorce to get to this point. We hope you will enjoy this record for the rest of your lives.

Leading up to the release of their next album, Tribazik return with the remx EP 'Spacetime Collapse', featuring remixes from such electronic royalty as Venetian Snares. Tribazik are no newcomers to the spotlight. Having supported influential post punk band Killing Joke on their European tour and having previously enjoyed reviews from Rock Sound, Kerrang and Terrorizer on their last album 'All Blood Is Red', mixed by Andy Gill, of Gang Of Four, the band are establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Band members Hedge Seel, Jerry Kandiah and Syan Barlow have each earnt their music industry colours. Jerry runs the infamous Old Street studios, Syan's last band Interlock released the critically acclaimed album 'Crisis//Reinvention' on Anticulture records in 2004, and Hedge's intricate drum solos are enough to make a session player wet himself.
The EP is a rock-electronic fusion, that takes Jungle drum patterns and Acid Techno bleeps and puts them together with menacing bass guitar riffs and distorted electric guitars. The original mix's intro greets us with tribal like drum fills and inspired bass guitar finger picking. Energetic vocals from Jerry soar over the percussion and bass, whilst Hedge's intense live drum work can't help but impress - it's complexity immediately intrigues. Electric guitars enter sporadically mingling side by side with acid squelches. A daring fusion pulled off. Coming to the first remix, we have Venetian Snares' interpretation. VSnares, as he is sometimes known, is a man who needs little introduction, having received praise from industry icons such as John Peel and having released on Planet Mu, for the last 12 years. Here he dishes out a 5 minute workout of insane amen break madness. This is perfectly complemented by drilling bass hits and vocal samples. The sheer complexity of the drum programming is astonishing.
Next up - Chris Liberator and Sterling Moss provide an Acid techno remix.
Having built up a solid reputation in the world of Acid Techno, the pair have
been selling out shows in; Australia, Japan and Brazil. Taking the bass
guitar and putting it behind a marching bassline, the production duo
then build up in insistency and urgency into an acid frenzy. Kenny Parish, AKA Ghost, offers up a gorgeously filthy remix. Drum beats
and percussion simmer away. Then we launch into full on chopped up live jungle break samples, courtesy of Hedge Seel. Meanwhile Ghost pumps gallons of throbbing bass into the mix - Top notch

Viewing classic dance tropes askance, 'Hallucinogenic Doom Steppy Verbs' follows his trio of 'Dance Classics' volumes for PAN thanks to a keener, almost aggressive thrust/lust for the 'floor, chucking up buckled variants of tech-step, acid, and garage-techno in the process. Making up for lost time since his last releases in 2013, he warms up with a spot of fractured tech-step before going hard with a febrile, 12-minute 2-step techno roller coming off like Grain and Lory D chewed-up by Haswell. Flipside, London-based ne'er-do-well and mutual maniac, XenoglossiX aka XiX vocals the strapping, squawking acid lash of '932' and a severely twysted, Gescom-like body-scrambler, '953', beside the scratchy wreckage of a dank rhythmic noise trip. They're all exactly the kind of mutant bombs Powell tends to lob in his celebrated DJ sets, requiring your attention quicksharp.

ONDULANTE is a technical track, which creates a seismic waiving motion effect in the subwoofer with breaks to strengthen the main theme
The track goes away again on the march toward a possible interpretation of the futur groove. 
The main groove (the rhythm) is a classical techno based one, with a 'new-trance', funky bass line.
In the middle of track comes an "old school detroit" filtered sound that turns into a pseudo electric guitar until the first break that disassembles the sound creating a mini-chemical atmosphere, as if it collides with an obstacle and brokes in hundreds pieces in order to get back together in a slightly different way, the final one, which is the starting main bombing, in which the former rhythmic elements are recomposed to form a suspension and continuous drone music.
The track go to the end travelling to another clash, the latest and the longest ... start again and finish. 

BOSCHISPOGLI is a more mystical and intimate journey, inspired by a post nuclear explosion forest
It starts with an 'old schoo'l house rhythmic and a funk Detroit bassline, supported by sequences of filtered tom in a "progressive house" style decorated with distorted ambient atmosphere and supported by a minimal techno backgrounds
A voice, that is dark but resonant and pervasive in all the track, makes the audience remember the "electronic" crying or the lament of those trees stripped from the dead explosion , a reflection of an alien point of view.

This year has proved to be Token's biggest with the Belgian label releasing music from Surgeon, Rødhåd, an album by Inigo Kennedy, while also debuting Ancient Methods & Orphx's Eschaton collaboration and welcoming back Oscar Mulero & Christian Wünsch's Spherical Coordinates project. Following the release of Token's unyielding Aphelion compilation, a collection of exclusive productions label founder Kr!z outsourced from famed artists like Luke Slater, James Ruskin, Lucy and Karenn, Token looks inward again by inviting back to its ranks hardened UK techno martial Makaton.

Steve Bailey, aka Makaton, has been releasing hard-line techno since 1999 with all but two of his releases coming through his own Rodz-Konez operation, a label that's also put out music by Inigo Kennedy, Regis, Female and The 65D Mavericks. One of those two records not released on Rodz-Konez was Makaton's 2009 Token debut, Leave Them All Behind, a record described by Resident Advisor as "hypnotic, swathed in enigmatic chord sequences", which was, until now, his last.

After a five year hiatus Makaton makes a storming return to Token and releasing music with this Ra Ra Replica EP. To be expected, Bailey delivers a ruthless body of work incorporating hardcore components of British techno like he's always done, be it the shuddering industrialisms of "Spit To Lubricate", frenetic 909 workouts of "Night #1" or the psycho cluster synths of Lead You Astray. It's not all cavernous cannonades of booming techno however, with Makaton also providing the dense but groovy drum-track "Dstablise" in a production that sculpts loopy electro tones with bleepy Warp-era synths made fit Token's inured framework.

Symbiostic means to us and reflects since one and a half year: A collaborative
melting pot of artists of many kind of shades to compile and release multifaceted
electronic music that oscillate between club and ambient context, between
house and techno.

Shipwrec sister label Deep Sound Channel follows up Mike Parker's EP with a new one from Eindhoven's Albert van Abbe. Van Abbe recently started his own label, VANABBE, and also releases his otherworldly techno on labels like Curle and Trolldans. Here he offers up three new tracks that are richly analogue and hugely involving. The first is 'Ostinati09', a wonky house cut with kinked synth lines, raw drums and mechanical percussion that makes for a stark and industrial atmosphere. 'Ostinati08' is a prickly brew of weird synth sounds, incessant hi hats and drums that seem to rock on their heels: it's a tense cut that never lets up before the much more doleful and soulful closer 'Ostinati02'. This one has sombre synths, stiff percussion and icy hi hats and is like a whacked out electro shell filled with emotive chords. This is hard to categorise stuff that is dancey as well as heady.

After the phenomenal success of the first release - WMC anthem 'Tripi' by Sharam (Deep Dish) - Seth Troxler's new imprint Play It Say It is back with another serious heavy hitter, this time from Montreal's favourite producer Clarian. Venturing away for his more vocal based, smooth electronic style, the versatile producer delves into the more techy side of things with the trippy dance floor weapon 'Dinosaurs in Space'. On the B-side, techno heavy-weight Paul Ritch steps up for remix duty with his 'Astro Lizard Mix' - a driving techno bomb destined for a big room affair. This EP is peak time material at its best and is sure to destroy dance floors worldwide this summer.

A standout talent and powerhouse on the underground scene, Clarian North formerly of electro-pop duo Footprintz has released, remixed and featured on various house labels du jour, such as Visionquest, Supplement Facts, Culprit LA and Life & Death. With an upcoming collaboration on Digitaria's album on Hot Creations and this exceptional release on Seth Troxler's label there is no doubt he will continue to see his solo career soar.

In 2007, Paul Ritch took the techno scene by storm both on stage and as a producer. Ever since, Paul has been defined by his passionate musical rhetoric, projected in releases for labels like Drumcode, Sci+Tech, Saved, Cocoon Recordings, Soma Records and Bpitch Control, among many others, and remixes to classic tracks such as Ondu, Positive Education,Tropical Melons, Remainings III, Magic K, The Test and I'm Burning Inside.Paul brought to life his own imprint, Quartz Rec in 2008 with smashing results followed by a more recent project called "All Jacks", a vinyl-only label with a special vibe for jacking beats.

Dominick Fernow's Bed of Nails label returns with its first release in a while - a new 5-track EP from New York stalwart K.P aka Dual Action. These machine tools spoil for the 'floor, acting as a follow-up of sorts to the excellent, blink-and-miss 'Babe' cassette and Avian's vinyl reissue of 'Auto Body', providing some proper club weight across four precision-sharpened pounders and one incredible noise construct. Fixing glassy chimes to stern bassdrum with 'Back In', and banking noxious drones over the pneumatic mechanisms of 'When Mine', he rolls off-the-bone with the Pan Sonic-like 'Kill The Ignition', and mows back to the 'floor with the thrumming, diesel-fuelled momentum of 'Inroads', leaving the throttling distrortion of 'Easy Way To Get What You Want' for those who can't get enough. Like mostly everything on Bed of Nails, these tracks function as Warehouse tools while edging towards a more layered and destroyed vision of Techno - coming highly recommended to followers of of Preserved Instincts, Miles, Powell, Vatican Shadow or Prostitutes.

Something tells me this one's gonna be big.
Uzuri 020 comes from Jitterbug, and it's great to have him back. Followers of the label will be very familiar with this producer's work, even if they know very little about the man himself. I'm not going to shatter the mystique.
Having been behind some of Uzuri's more stomping releases, the Workers EP could well be his finest yet. Apparently the title is a nod in support of the global proletariat, but it could equally refer to the floor-worthy nature of the tracks themselves.
Truly an EP; you get six tracks of out and out bangers - from straight drum tracks to smoother Summer jams and disco-licked house - each track bringing a fresh flavour. Basslines to die for.
It feels silly talking about it, to be honest. We're wasting time. Have a listen.

For the final dessert course in this particular banquet of Delicacies, after successful collaborations with Cosmin TRG and Bicep - SMD are very proud to present two tracks in collaboration with none other than Roman Flügel fresh from a session in their research kitchen.

'Hachinoko' originate from Japan, and are a sweet delicacy, so perfect for our dessert - the larvae of bees or wasps, carefully harvested from their hives and cooked in sugar and soy sauce. The taste is said to be crunchy on the outside, with a gooey centre and a smoky finish... imagine, if you will, an image of dozens of tiny bee larvae, trapped in their hexagonal wax birthing cells, tapping out notes on tiny synthesiser keyboards, generating plinky electronic rhythms, over the throbbing drone of the hive's background buzz. Before you chomp them all down.

The second track on the 12' is titled 'Ikizukuri' a particularly morally dubious dish that consists of preparing fish for sashimi whilst still alive. Debate rages over whether the fish is dead by the time it hits the plate, or if it is (or should be) still twitching. Melodic fillets are piled high upon each other, like the mound of freshly diced almost-live flesh. Probably the least said about this the better - just try and enjoy the music, eh

Prime Numbers are back with the next in their compiled EP series, once again selecting new tracks from producers who inspire & represent the sound of the label. This time it's a diverse outing, dwelling on the dubbier, more subtle side of things.

The release starts with Modini, Following on from their excellent Turk EP for Dixon Basement Jams here they flip the script.'Attack Warning' fuses new wave & nu-beat styles with an almost ZTT-like sensibility. It's big, bold & direct with chopped vocal samples, an acidic bottom line & rock hard snares.

Nick Sinna returns to the label with 'Come Again', a brooding piece with a distinctly UK feel. Various drum sounds are dextrously melded into a restrained afro tinged rhythmic workout.
Luke Hess brings his own take to the track stripping back & tightening the elements whilst washing it in a Detroit solution for a more intense overall feel.

Finally Hakim Murphy drops 'Synth Work'. Fantastically understated & ethereal the track draws you in with padded kicks, floating bleeps & squelched bass.
