* Toronto-based electronic musician and producer David Psutka launches his 'Halocline Trance' label with his third LP under the experimental club project, Egyptrixx. Marking 5 years of output, the album features graphic and video design from longtime collaborator, Berlin-based artist ANF, and elaborates the structural ideas from their collaborative album "A/B til Infinity" (Night Slugs, 2013).

* The music is primitive, minimalist - fixated mainly on texture and weight. Smudged facsimiles of club music; crude and abstract grooves. The record starts with cleansing drones then lapses into a fractured digital melody. Toggling between metallic shards of DX7, drum machine blast beats and grandiose, hyper-color drones - its strange cohesion of disparate objects suggesting a novel synchronicity.

* Like all Egyptrixx releases, 'Transfer of Energy [Feelings of Power]' pivots on a central dichotomy: tranquility and concussion. Picture Genocide Organ rededicated to pure positivity or spectral love notes to aging infrastructure. These are concrete and euphoric slabs of sound.

Sync 24 aka Phil Bolland is taking a break from his Cultivated Electronics label to get some well deserved binary treatment. Starting out on Andrea Parker's UK electro imprint Touchin' Bass, Phil has consistently produced electro of the highest caliber, be it his solo efforts or remixes for Morphology and Exaltics to name a few.

It was early 2007 when Inigo Kennedy inaugurated Token. Since that Identify Yourself 12" the Belgian label has gone from strength to strength, integrating both Kennedy and Ashley Burchett, aka Ø Phase , into becoming integral cogs in the Token machine. In between releases by Grovskopa, Oscar Mulero and Go Hiyama, both Ø Phase and Inigo Kennedy dominated Token's output, but it wasn't until Burchett's watershed Binary Opposition that Token received the shower of praise it deserved. Following this, label founder Kr!z issued three remix 12"s of that release which, including Token regulars, took in a profound cast of producers to reprocess "Binary Opposition" by the way of Sigha, Peter Van Hoesen, Planetary Assault Systems and Ben Klock. It was here Token stamped their authority on contemporary techno.

Since then Token has grown exponentially, bringing into their fold artists like Xhin, Mark Broom and Rødhåd, while Ctrls, formally one half of Northern Structures, has seen his solo career flourish on Token with the release of five records to date, and he joins Inigo Kennedy and Ø Phase as a label stalwart. Additionally this year, Orphx and Ancient Methods debuted their relentless Eschaton collaboration on Token, and Christian Wünsch's Spherical Coordinates dalliance with Oscar Mulero has gained even more momentum with a second release called Kinematics Equations. Now, seven years after that debut Kennedy record, Token present Aphelion, a nine-track CD and triple vinyl grandstand of new and exclusive material from label regulars and like-minded artists whom Token founder Kr!z specifically commissioned for this milestone release.

The penultimate record before Aphelion is a second Token 12" by Rødhåd, another artist adding to the cultivation of the label's sound and roster, and for this compilation the Berliner supplies his cosmically inspired "Haumea". Joining the Dystopian founder on Aphelion are three of the UK's most influential techno artists: Surgeon, James Ruskin and Luke Slater under his Planetary Assault Systems alias who provide Token with solo material for the first time after previously appearing on the imprint in remix form. Entirely new names to grace the label via Aphelion include Stroboscopic Artefacts founder Lucy, and Blawan and Pariah's Karenn project, while label faithfuls Inigo Kennedy, Ø Phase and Ctrls naturally commit three Token defining productions.

Casting one's eye over Token's back catalogue and it's clear to see the label is a staunch advocate of absolute techno, remaining steadfast in issuing quality material that remains true to classic strands of the genre regardless of its popularity flux. In that respect, Aphelion - a word used to describe the point in orbit when a planet or comet is farthest from the sun - provides a simple analogy that the magnetic force of Token, unfazed by the shadows cast by popular opinion, will proudly shine light on their artists and given styles.

"We started in an era where our genre was very unpopular," Kr!z explains. "And in the end that seemed a big advantage for us, because when everyone was giving up, we started our mission." Regularly hosting label nights in prominent clubs around the world, Token has become a label supported by a wide-ranging body of artists like Âme and Ben Klock to Efdemin, Truss and Ancient Methods. With the label now branching out into album and compilation territory, Token's duty to techno may not yet be accomplished, but it's been a job well done.

With the present four tracks compilation of exclusive Techno productions, Rebekah delivers the third and last part of CLR's new format, which consists of an hour and a half dj mix and two subsequent EPs. Once more, Rebekah has chosen a mixture of tracks by fellow CLR players and other colleagues she admires for their cutting edge, quality production style. Long-time CLR artist and mastering technician Brian Sanhaji contributed 'Gyre", the first track of the release and a truly mesmerizing, acidic journey, which fulfills the usual, extremely high sonic standard the experienced producer is known for. The second track 'Berkel' was produced by Dualit and is characterized by a comparatively laid-back vibe with a gently driving rhythm, irresistibly haunting atmospheres and sequences. It closes the A-side of the vinyl and leaves you with the urge to turn it around and keep listening. The B-side contains two more tracks by Bas Mooy and by Rebekah herself. Bas Mooy´s 'Exile' is another good example of minimalistic, driving and hypnotic Techno with an extraordinary rhythm and a diversified structure, while Rebekah manifests with 'Zero Point' what she is best known for: straight-forward, full on, banging Techno with heaps of positive energy from the relentless side of the genre. Her second 'Mind Sets' effort is a thoughtful selection, a dignified continuation of the first part of the sampler and should be enjoyed loud on top-notch sound systems. Handbraekes is the heavyweight marriage of electro titans Boys Noize and Mr Oizo, blending industrial German tech with Gallic insanity. The dream team duo have collaborated once again and their 2nd EP aptly titled #2 is set for release on May 26th through Boysnoize Records. Bringing groundbreaking fidget house to the clubs once more, #2 showcases the pair's dynamic sounds with 4 tracks to make you lose your shit in cavernous hangers and shiny super-clubs.

For the final release in the first series of Especial, the label takes a detour across the Atlantic to San Francisco and latter-day synth / experimentalists Inhalt for something a bit special. Taking 4 original tracks from their Occupations EP on Dark Entries and
commissioning a set remixes that bring them into the label's musical aesthetic. With an EP already on Dark Entries, plus a release included on the inspiring World Unknown label, Occupations showed a progression in Inhalt's music to capture the sound of moderne electronique. Synth / Cold / Dark Wave, whatever the tag, this West Coast trio produce an clean, driven electronic sound of their own, backed with the unique voice of Phillip Winiger. Approached by mutual friend George Thompson aka Black Merlin who, alongside US duo VALIS, had been commissioned to do remixes that were unreleased, Especial jumped at the change to pick up the chalice and pass it to label friends and arc-remixers de jour Timothy J Fairpaly and Scott Fraser. The result is a remix EP that celebrates the ideas of Especial, to take influences of 80s New Wave, Synth Pop, Electro, Proto-House and the occassioanl touch of Disco and mold them in to an up-to-date vision that respects but runs parellel to the modern obsession with all things House and forges it's own way. The "Frankie Says" hymn of Black Merlin's Remix sets the tone beautifully, before swatted by bass electro retake by VALIS, before TJF dons his hip slung bass for another inspired epic, before finally Glasgow's answer to Dopplereffekt, Mr Fraser is all hissing hats and electro beats to close an EP that is aimed at one place - dark dancefloors.

As a solo artist he has written and produced six albums as well as countless singles through as many years, and has forged his own path creating an intimate and deranged space which his music exists in.

When listening to this record, some may say it sounds like, "a bunch of crying disco loops melting under the sun"

Others could call this "some form of ultra demented pop music created to destroy pop music whilst trying to co-exist in a paralell dimension simultanously getting caught in some sort of purgatory to suffer together infinitely.

Another rather accurate description could be that the record is akin to "eating an ice cream cone off city blacktop in August"

At points some of the tracks are driven by a possessed rhythm box going in and out of sync
as a tape player with a broken pitch chews and warbles eveything in its path.

Other times the music is like a slow dry mouthed mule caravan trudging through the desert looking for a oasis while hallucintating on dmt.

And some may even be turned on when things take an unexpected turn for the worse as out of tune melodies, and skewed abrupt breaks in the music grind and scratch the listeners face with its jagged nails.
To say this isn't a masterpiece would be a gross understatement.

The efforts of label chief Max_Mand Attic Music's own Fabrizio Lapiana as so far proven to be a potent combination. Sharing wax space for the last two releases on M_Rec Ldt's discreet new 10' vinyl series, the pair have so far turned in a stirring duplet of some of the finest, fully-formed pieces of modern techno music.
Now, for the third installment, Max_M steps aside to let a brand new outfit take the helm.
The mysterious and so far unreleased Overall Severitynestles comfortably into the A-side with another swollen, undulating melodic arrangement, true to form of what we've seen from the series so far. Then on the B-side, Fabrizio Lapiana offers more of his dark and groovy techno, toned in what has become a signature splash of vintage British-redolent electronica.

Next up we take a nice and ugly diversion into the world of Whirling Hall Of Knives. Ruling the Trensmat and Nute labels with an iron fist over the past 8 years, WHOK (aka Magnetize & The Last Sound) have released a surging flow of albums and singles over various formats, that have become buy on sight purchases for their loyal and ever-growing fanbase.

This is their first 12" outside of Trensmat, with which they deliver a standout addition to the Earwiggle catalogue. With a title track that Surgeon has already likened to German krautrock legends Faust (as well as premiering on his recent Rinse FM show), 'Comminute EP' is characterised by a monstrous, dark metal texture and tension-building soundscapes that remind us of what hell must really be like. For fans of classic Alec Empire, Justin Broadrick or modern day Downwards Records, inside cuts 'Monopolific' and 'Scrap Assembly' are for you.

Ancient Methods is an old friend of Earwiggle, playing one of his first overseas AM gigs for us back in 2009 (which many Irish techno heads still get emotional talking about), and he kindly remixes 'Comminute' into one of his most individual works to date; a tearing low-bpm slab of doom, it shares a similar one-minded approach to the original but with a crazed mind all of its own.

Gallic cynosure Agoria debuts on the Hotflush roster with 'Hélice' - a compelling, propelling record that envelopes and encompasses. Blending an ambience of eerie sci-fi over suspense-laden peaks and troughs, it goes after body and mind in equal measure.

Its B-side counterpart is 'Make It Real', a jacking house number cut through with a classic Rhodes bounce. The latent garage disposition is brought to the fore by ESS, whose remix nods to the East Coast glory days of yore.

In a frequent manner, Mike Wall serves a solid techno track called 'Nask' for the newest Analogue Audio release. Corpulent bass kicks meeting industrial shreds, straight from the machine room. Three massive remixes complete this EP and show different ways of pure techno, how to rumble the floors. Jeff Rushin's one is humming on dark frequencies, while Distale takes over the dusky part and Ixel strikes with a driven precision. Surely not to be missed!

Uwe Schmidt is one of the most prolific contemporary electronic musicians of our era, with nearly 200 releases produced under a dizzying array of aliases.
Perhaps his most well known and celebrated project is Señor Coconut, of bossanova Kraftwerk cover fame. We've heard many dozens of Uwe's releases and consider more than a few of them to be Bunker classics that are in constant rotation at both our house and on our dancefloor.

When we first heard his compilation of tunes organized as a satirical history of acid house released under the Atom™ moniker - 'Acid Evolution 1988-2003', we started hounding Uwe about performing this material live at The Bunker. We eventually got him to perform an improvised live hardware set with Tobias, then were lucky enough to have him perform his A/V set for us, and most recently were treated to a solo techno set of the Ground Loop material just last year.

We asked Uwe to flesh out a few of the clips he'd put online of Ground Loop material with a view to releasing a record for The Bunker and two days later these two monsters landed in our inbox. Two brand new Atom™ dancefloor acid explosions that stand alongside the best of his work. Enjoy!

Etruria beat's 017 release sees his founder at the forefront, Luca Agnelli, who is back on his own label after his latest track Dark Moon which was played by the best artists of the techno scene, and after being the cover Dj of DJmag Italy May 2014. Two original tracks, Orion and Cassiopea, plus two remixes of well-known artists such as Brett Johnson,who just released on Visionquest, and Daschund from Highgrade and Clapper. Orion has an old-style flavor, characterized by a 909 groove and a bassline from an old 303; the main element is the Moog synth, that is addictive, melodic and hypnotic, that will lead you away through the atmosphere of Detroit. Brett Johnson turns Orion into much more deep track, playing with the main synth and making it suitable to afterhours. Daschund instead has a tech-house touch giving relentless and happiness to the groove of the track. The last track of ep is Cassiopea, inspired by the sound of Ostgut Ton. Dark and deep sounds will bring us into a subterranean journey ... on the way to Etruria!

Resilience returns from under the floorboards with the second release following geographic relocations from the core crew. Having met London-based artist Paper Dollhouse at a gig in the North of England and become friends over a shared love of jungle, post punk & techno she passed us a selection of unreleased ambient pieces.

We commissioned close friends Joe Cocherell of Downwards America/Frozen Border fame and mysterious operators Montalk to take two of the pieces and compose their own interpretations. Joe's version comes across like an L.A. Desert cover of Basic Channel 8 with a drone breakdown reminiscent of the Kevin Drumm classic 'Imperial Distortion'. On the flip Montalk come on strong with something that sounds like little before; thunderous bass creeps over a distorted synth line with Astrud's vocals washed away. An industrial strength mixture of brokenhearted beats recalling the recent output of Andy Stott crossed with the DNA of early DMZ/Loefah productions.

Deadly Population One album from Terrence Dixon on Rush Hour...*Classic Alert* TIP!
Under the Population One codename, Detroit citizen,Terrence Dixon, has realised some of his most vivid, esoteric portals to the Motor City mindset. 'Theater Of A Confused Mind' is Dixon's 2nd album in this mode and marks a timely return to Rush Hour twenty years after his debut album, 'Unknown Black Shapes', and the 'Hippnotic Culture' 2LP, whose 'Rush Hour' track inspired our company's name.

In both the literal and figurative sense of the album's title - theatre as a space for performance or an operating table, and equally in terms of psychogeography - 'Theater Of A Confused Mind' plays out an affected Afro-futurist narrative over eight tracks of haunting and furtive sci-fi techno. It's riddled with cryptic connotation, systemic from the track titles to its deft, subtle mix down, all drawing upon the city's emotions, industrial architextures and post-industrial panoramas to better express its sense of soul.

Between opener 'Out Of Control', where Dixon is the voice-in-Detroit's-head, a dark interpreter on a dérive whispering to himself "Detroit, Out of Control/As I Walk Through The Mists Of Detroit/And You Don't Know What We Be", and through to the mind-blowing sci-fi projections of closer 'All Of A Sudden', it renders a unique perception of Detroit's enduring export. Tracing circuitry like grid-iron avenues, Dixon deviates down back alleys, through warehouses and across mental space, divining the ghosts of jazz in the coiled double bass of 'For Only You', or long lost SOS transmissions in the tribal patterns of 'Code Urgent', whilst the prickling electro of 'Battle For Space' condenses that fractured flux at the album's core, and the kaotic harmonies of 'My Own Shadow' encapsulate a Kafkaseque sense of raving paranoia.

In light of recent news that Terrence is set to retire from making music, the already incredible 'Theater Of A Confused Mind' is imparted with an ever more impending sense of gravity. It's little short of Population One's magnum opus, and should be treated with due respect.

If the first Black Narcissus album did not knock you out, this second double LP could address the problem by being more precise where it hits.

If there's one thing Jonas Kopp has proven over the last decade is that he can turn his hand to just about anything. Since debuting on Prter's revered MindTrip Music back in 2006, the Buenos Aires native has managed to rack up a rich and compelling discography, coursing with ease through electronic music's various forms.

From warm Chicago house through to deep, dark and driving techno on labels like Deeply Rooted House, Stroboscopic Artefacts and more, Kopp's hypnotic and heady sentiment has remained the red thread throughout, which has allowed him to ourish as one of techno's more liberal dance oor purveyors.

More recently, for Illian Tape he strayed out of the ring entirely to deliver two billowing, orchestral-sized ambient works; proof that there's still plenty more to come from someone already so well-versed and dexterous in his craft.

It's high time then, that Jonas Kopp should present his rst full-length effort. 'Beyond The Hypnosis' weaves Kopp's discursive repertoire into a single and concise narrative, covering both familiar ground and exploring new and spellbinding territories, along with just a hint of cosmic neo-retroism that makes this a welcomed edition to the Tresor catalogue.

Despite having just a single release on the label so far, 'X' featuring on DJ Hell's 2013 Kern Vol.2 compilation, Kopp has been a rm xture at the club since 20

'Beyond The Hypnosis' is a techno album as ambiguous and unrestrained as its astrological muse. This is Kopp at his most wayfaring with titles like 'Seven' and 'Green Square' showing off more of the producer's are for spacey, subaqueous music.

There is of course plenty of oor-facing material as well, delivered with less stringent
functionality than we've seen from him before. The perverted 'Tau Ceti', for example, or the basement-dwelling single 'Red Plented' have been tarnished with the same brush as this album's more dreamier moments, setting them apart from stand-along experiments to work collectively as a symbiotic and fully-eshed whole.

"When we talk about Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday, we tend to focus on the details. The seemingly little things like a friendly staff and a springy dancefloor make a big difference in how good a party is, but the main reason we pay attention to them is that we're trying to create the best environment forpeople to enjoy music.

Before we're producers of parties and guys running a record label, we're DJs. Everything else we do with Mister Saturday Night comes from our desire to play records for people. That's what we're putting forward on Weekends and Beginnings.

As the social, mental, educational and economic destruction of Detroit continues, many are forced to question the one thing that has carried generations through turbulent times in the past. The Church has been the cornerstone of many communities throughout history, yet what does it mean when the institutions of faith turn and run from the difficulties Detroit faces In the face of the religious abandonment of the city at an increasing rate, some have been forced to ask the question, HAS GOD LEFT DETROIT

After Patrick Pulsinger on the first SCRAM release, the label features another classic techno project on its second. Ratio (Central Records, 7th CIty) returns with its first outing in over a decade: Four artful tracks of broken dub techno, ranging from intense and banging to deep and hypnotic.

Eat My Pussy" is the delightfully nasty debut solo release from Latvian artist Anet K., coming out on Pomelo November 24th. The title track, featuring Anet's vocals and production, functions as both a demand and endearing request, fusing her encyclopaedic knowledge of electro with a cunning lyrical twist. With such a explicit title, it should come as no surprise that the inspiration for "Eat My Pussy" comes from firsthand experience. Anet K. is no stranger to the scene - as a long-term resident of Berlin she's contributed vocals to several recent releases, including Barker's "Like An Animal" on Leisure System.

Franksen goes way back in the history of Frankfurt's electronic scene. Hosting Germany's eldest radio DJ Show, today's YOU FM Clubnight (formerly simply known as CLUBNIGHT), he represents electronic music culture 360° since 15 years. As a dj, producer and music journalist (for BEAT magazine) he boasts versatile skills and follows his unique approach on an endless groove journey.

Franksen appeared on deep and techhouse labels from Suara to Plastic City, WePlayMinimal, InCase Recordings, Salted Music and many more. Since 2009 he has released a string of fine tracks with collabo partners. Since 2012 it is his time to go solo. Franksen released on Amused Records, Kaato Music, Meleon, Diametral and more labels to come in 2013. Right now his next tracks are scheduled for the fresh year: on Circle Music and Mainakustik!

After being returned from his abduction by aliens from the hidden planet Nibiru, DJ Overdose was given an alien synthesizer 'the HAEX-HRLL' as a thank you for all the cerebral research the aliens did on him. On returning back to Earth all DJ Overdose had to do was finish the 6 tracks the aliens had started to work on, which became this EP. Straight forward Techno Hop Electro Funk without any fancy-pants pretentious hooha. It's like a black and white movie which makes you think 'why the hell is there colors anyway!' After completion, the only record label he could imagine being fit for such rawness would be Viewlexx... and so here it is.

Concept albums are a rare species. They seem to have a tendency to show up late on revered artists timelines. Post teenage angst and the sheer unlimited energy of the early stages of the human condition, they convey a strategy that's often been shaped by matured ideas coming together over the years. It is seldom that these are debut records. Gajek's compositions however have grown quietly under the radar, heard only by those in his inner circle. In a way this is not a debut - as this music has ripened over the course of many years. But whilst his visual oeuvre has been out there for a while, accompanying the music of Warp's Clark, Gajeks own audio is only now seeing the light of the public.

After Chris Clark had passed some of Gajeks sheer endless output over to Modeselektor, quite a few listening sessions followed. Ranging from post-rocky electronica to complex and moody renderings of intricate introverted beat structures to a mutant dance music, a whole audioscape had to be discovered. There were songs and tracks and experiments there, morphed vocals and reverberated non human instruments, complex percussion patterns and sweet athmospheres, but in all these different paths and moods, a penchant for working with a leitmotif could be traced.

As an introduction to expose his particular working method, a concept mini-album was carefully crafted. Filled with 21 short tracks circling around 3 main motifs this record lays bare one of Monkeytown's new artists main strenghts. The creation of a soundscape that explores a notion of something athmospheric hidden away under the material of the zeitgeist. Working with variations of rythmic elements it seems like the 3 parts of this album tell very short but intricately entwined stories equal to the miniature worlds contained in snow globes. They contain references to their larger musical counterparts in Gajeks other works, but shaken and stirred and sometimes snowed under. One is quickly drawn into this music, challenged to find the thread and follow it into its different outfits and scenarios.

The first complex entitled - Curved Engines' evolves around a major scale played over two octaves with the exclusion of a few notes. Its friendly and simple melody is examined in every possible direction almost like a classical minimalist piano piece. The second one - Restless Water Shapes' explores a repetitive rythmic pattern, which is evolving over the course of its 8 parts, sometimes reminiscent of early Autechre, but combined with a more jazz based approach. On its course, the pattern morphs from being played on actual percussions, to drony pads and sirens synthesized from vocals until it breaks into actual composed pieces on track 9, 12 and 14. Here, various of the afore-heard elements come together and form moments of extreme beauty and calmness while
challenging the listener to come closer, hear more, better, finer.

Complex 3 - Moving Glasses' starts like an overture to a digital - Zarathustra'. Synthezised arpeggios sounding like a muted bamboo - harpsichord are interrupted by a syncopated beat swinging in an upside down gesture like an exclamation mark. Some of the elements of the former complexes appear, culminating in a more orchestrated apparel. Where the other parts explore a musical structure this one is devoted to (a) form. This form could be called - electronic dance music', if this expression wasnt already taken for the cheap mainstream rendering of autotuned four to the floor. In a different speak one could also say - almost techno'. - Moving Glasses' offers the most apparent references to club - music in its various forms ranging from hip hop to techno but also finding its way back to ambient and electronica.

You can consume this album without paying attention to the - concept' part of it, no worries, it is a masterfully crafted piece of intelligent electronica that is as pleasant to listen to, as it is thought though. But you can also dig deep and let yourself be amazed by the mindgames of this young producer, who is by the way also just gaining his - Meisterschüler' in the visual arts. His idiosyncratic mastery of music however was obtained autodidactically. And that makes the beauty of it.

Vinyl reissue of Madteo's TTTree Low G. Tapes: Mad Dip Revue, originally issued by The Trilogy Tapes on cassette in 2012. The record will consist of edited down versions of the original tape, with both sides containing some 17 minutes of material remastered by DJ Sotofett of Sex Tags Mania. Nine years on from their debut release in December 2004, Saved Records now reached the milestone of a century of releases. That first release was Skylark presents Buick Project 'Chancer / Drop The Beat', and since that point the imprint has been a benchmark for quality electronic music, managing to nurture new talent alongside a furthering of the global dance music agenda.

The label has done what any right minded institution or individual would do upon proudly reaching an achievement; planned a proper celebration. Saved 100 brings together an ensemble of the label's favourite producers and DJ's to showcase the full gamut of it's musical personality, taking in everything from deep house to peak-time techno. There's fresh cuts from both label bosses Nic and Mark Fanciulli alongside some of the key players of the Saved so far; Robert Dietz, Philip Bader, Stacey Pullen, Gary Beck and Alex Tepper. The remixers read like a who's who of house music history, with Frankie Knuckles, Joris Voorn, Danny Daze, Spencer Parker, Terrence Parker and Adam Beyer all included.

After highlighting two young french talents for its first releases with Madben and Oniris, Astropolis Records now invites two french techno legends for its third release.

The Driver, techno aka for french rave key figure Manu le Malin and techno veteran Electric Rescue join their forces for a first 12' « the wolves » : A dark fang strike, fierce, beastly.
The encounter of these two french techno activist couldnt have result in anything else than an explosiv termination : two raw and nagging techno tracks blending up both artist proper musical background.

The EP begin with a track called « The Wolves » declined in two versions, dark and biting on the aubervilliers mix, sharp and boiling on the chord mix. The B side features a second track by techno duo The Driver vs Electric Rescue called « La Crytpe », a muggy and stifling techno track that make the link beetween both composer style and a enchanting and captivating housy resivison of « The Wolves » by prolific french composer and remixer Traumer.

The Scenery label is now relatively well established after its first few releases, with discerning DJs and dancers everywhere lapping up the rough and raw electronic offerings. Label boss ASOK steps up with the next release, and that it comes with a remix from Dutchman Borris Bunnik in his Versalife guise is the icing on the cake.
Having released on labels like M>O>S before now, ASOK is well versed in proper house music as this new EP proves. It kicks off with the misty eyed nostalgia of 'Hunter', a mid tempo jam that drifts along with frazzled synth lines offset by more bittersweet melodies. Well-programmed drums underpin the whole thing and it leaves you feeling cast adrift in some deep space cavern. Delsin and Clone associate, Versalife, reworks the same track. His take reimagines it as a kinetic sub aquatic affair laden with celestial chords, rubbery basslines and soothing ambient soundscapes.
It's then back to ASOK for 'Cabal', a pad laced jam that glows warm and radiates heat as soft edged percussion and increasingly jacking beats propel the vibe along. Some fine and bulbous basslines eventually gurgle into the mix to add some serious weight, and molten acid also characterises the second half of this most emotive affair.
Last but not least, Millennium 2.2 picks up the tempo - a well-driven deep house affair with swirling pads adding swathes of scale to proceedings. Roughshod analogue lines, glistening keys and a greyscale mist all form nebulous clouds that pull you right into the core of the track and leave you feeling as if you're in another world.

No. proudly presents its third 12 inch release, under catalogue number No. 905. 'No. Inc.' are Material Object and Atom™. Having launched their label 'No.' in early 2014 with the Early Reflections Album, the two artists return to the project with Early Reflections II EP which continues the theme of releasing a part of the 'Early Reflections' Album, previously only available digitally, alongside a new techno cut forged from refractions on the original theme. Side A explores ambient psychedelic regions while Side AA dives into a bass heavy, cavernous techno cut designed for the mind whilst retaining full body functionality.

The first of a two-part package of exclusive material from the 17th edition in the Watergate CD series is from none other than the duo who commanded the mix, Pan-Pot. Making it even more special is the fact that both tracks are collaborations with two heavy hitting names in the industry from completely different sides of the musical spectrum: Slam and Vincenzo.

On the A side we see Pan-Pot and Slam do a techno burner with 'Conductor'. This shouldn't come as any surprise as both are well known for their heavy peak time club anthems. With driving hi hats, crisp snares and a thumping kick drum, the solid foundation is laid for the craftsmen to build the rest of their masterpiece and it begins with dark, reverb heavy stabs. Slowly a monotonous yet psychedelic tone takes grip and the stabs come again. This time more frequent and building in energy before getting to the break where the white noise grows and the tension builds. With just a few perfect elements it only takes removing a few pieces and then giving them back at the perfect time to instill a massive 'hands in the air' moment.

The flip side offers another vibe which rounds out the EP perfectly. It was in 2007 on the Pan-O-Rama album that we last saw Vincenzo and Pan-Pot together for 'Faces'. With 'Fiction Inc' we see both artists' styles shine through. A warm deep sub bass grabs your attention while washes
of glittery synths pan the background setting the stage for the lush key work that Vincenzo is synonymous for and the sinister bleeps that scream Pan-Pot. Finally the feature element reveals itself; a mix between dark and uplifting chords that resolve each cycle of the other elements finalizing in a cohesive, driving, emotional ride.

Illum Sphere steps up to curate the latest edition of Fabric's venerable compilation series with Fabriclive 78. The Hoya:Hoya co-founder, who brings his Manchester-based residency to Fabric's Room 2 every quarter, says of the selection, "I decided to stick to more electronic-based music, from new wave, dub, techno, acid, etc. In terms of range I think the oldest thing is probably late 70s and the newest thing came out this year."

Vakant continues its VALT series with the third installment of uncompromising club tracks. Started in 2008 with Onur Özer and followed up by Tolga Fidan in 2009, Dario Zenker brings up VALT3 in 2010.

After the highly anticipated release of his third studio album DECAY, Efdemin presents the first part of a remix series featuring his favourite producers.
Bristol's underground hero Asusu inflates the reduced album opener "Some Kind Of Up And Down Yes" with deepest bass and beautiful scapes to the max in a true Photek-Style. Last year's "Control" by Staffan Linzatti was one of the favourite constants to be played in every Efdemin or Lawrence set. Luckily his version of "Solaris" is another epic hymn here with futuristic enhancements of the third kind.The most extraordinary piece on "Decay Version's Part" 1 is The Borderland State's rework of "Parallaxis". Efdemin's studio-mate John Gürtler recorded that beauty with adding acoustic instruments only and sounds like a meeting of Moondog with Wim Mertens.

Simian Mobile Disco are back with the second in a series of collaborations, following on from 'Sacrifice', their joint effort with Bicep. This time they've joined forces with Cosmin TRG fresh from his highly acclaimed album 'Gordian' on 50 Weapons.
The fruits of this hard graft in the electronic kitchen of SMD's studio (to push the food metaphor to its limits) kick off with Surstro¨mming. This northern Swedish delicacy of tinned, fermented sour herring has the dubious claim to fame of being the most putrid smelling food substance in the world. The burbling, queasy synth tones reflect the effects of this scent on all but the true connoisseurs.
With slightly less seasoning, Sannakji, is a Korean cuisine that consists of chopping off the tentacles of an octopus and serving them, live and squirming on your plate. The real challenge for the dedicated gourmand is to swallow them before the suckers tear chunks from your throat and mouth. Try not to think about the minimal melodic tendrils of the music forcing your gullet open as they attempt to climb out...
Delicacies will be back in 2014 with yet more delights of the world's only techno tasting menu.
Surstro¨mming and Sannakji will be available on 12' full platter and digital small plate on 9th December 2013, and Cosmin TRG will be special guest at SMD's Delicatessen night, at XOYO in London on the 7th December.

Moving away from strictly white label/white sleeve packaging, Great Circles has widened its Philadelphia- based collaborative team, with jacket designs created via video disruption by Seppuku Overwrite, and screen printing by Mark Price markpriceisafactory Dan Trevitt and Westov Temple mark the transition into the next phase of releases with a split 12'.

The A-side opens with Dan Trevitt's Mendacious Truths, an immediate onslaught of warehouse madness, with its bruising kick drum, raw voltages, and organized chaos. Trevitt's The Vapid follows, an evolving experiment in sound design, with polyrhythmic patterns, subtle percussive undertones, voices from the distant future, and droning discordant negative space.

Spanning the B-side, Westov Temple's Dr. Sardon was recorded in one take while preparing new sounds for a live set performed the following night at Industry of Machines in Brooklyn. Though it is a divergence from previously released material, Dr. Sardon exemplifies the sound of Westov Temple's live sets over the last six months, most notably in the driving, relentless rhythm and in the crescendo - both in volume and tension - that extends across the entire piece

Killekill 017 by Neil Landstrumm is a three tracker with no less than three hits on it. The A-Side is a dark slammer about someone trading his ass for drugs in a new acid / disco / synthwave / techno fusion style with an undisputed Chicago flavour in it. What a hit!
B1 is the result of a collaboration of Neil with Jd Twitch under the name Doubleheart, under which they also released on Nonplus and other labels. 'Outsider music aimed at the dancefloor', as they put it, and that pretty much hits the nail on the head: nice electro beats, a wobbling bass, and all sorts of freaky sounds on top of it, from classic cowbells to whistles, squeaks and other weird stuff. And all this without ever losing the drive to rock the dancefloor.
B2 again was an intial collaboration between Neil and Ralph Cumbers who produces a UK project called 'Bass Clef' and has released some high quality, left of field club productions over the years on the Punk Drunk and Blank Tapes labels. He is also an extremely gifted trombone player and frequently plays this at live shows along with Theremin and bass heavy garagey beat style.. They produced a few tracks together and this one stood out as glam rock/synth wave production. Then Lewis Maccoll alias Operator, who recorded Scandinavia 022, was asked to write song lyrics and sing vocals over the original track. Lewis has a unique layering style of vocal production and his dark story of the deep and passive souls enhanced the song immensely and broadened its appeal to a much wider audience. Its a fresh style electronic style for 2014 very fitting to the alternative Killekill label approach.

To celebrate a decade of releasing music Perc Trax looks to the future, releasing tracks from a mix of Perc Trax regulars including Truss, Forward Strategy Group, Sawf and Perc himself and names new to the label such as Clouds, Happa, Kareem, Drvg Cvltvre and Martyn Hare. These new tracks will be released as three separate vinyl EPs and also form part of this 2xCD album. The first disc containing the new tracks, whilst the second disc is home to Perc's first commercially available DJ mix.

Accompanying these four releases will be an international tour running through the winter of 2014 and into early 2015, climaxing with Perc Trax's biggest ever London event in February.
