Almost exactly three years after the first, Redshape has readied his second Red Pack, due for co release by his own Present imprint alongside his frequent Dutch home, Delsin, in June.
Whilst the world is still enjoying the German's latest album "Square", the man himself has typically moved on once more. On Red Pack II he offers up six tracks new of hugely atmospheric and romantically industrial techno across two pieces of vinyl.

First up, 'Disco Marauder' has raw, jangling beats, traumatised vocal cries and plenty of sci-fi ambiance all coalescing into a filmic techno tapestry, before 'Path Dub' goes deeper and more streamlined with rattling claps peeling off taught synth cables in hypnotic fashion. The same track also comes in an original version, which is a much more jagged, roughshod and textured affair.

'The Source' is a track slowed to a crawl that almost seems to want to collapse under its own weight. Machines gurgle and gargle, the beats march on with a heavy heart and widescreen synths all that ever present sense of cinematism that makes Redshape such a unique producer.

Standout track 'Daft Mode' features a beautiful Reese bassline and rich layers of classic Detroit chords of the sort Inner City once championed. Redshape then pairs them with slicing percussion and loose limbed but tough edged beats and lets them roll on to a blissfully emotive oblivion... Fans of 'Mucky Bones' from the first Red Pack might see this track as a close relative. Last track 'Bulp Head' is one of Redshape's more euphoric tracks thanks to the glistening and pixelated melodies which rise up and up through choppy, metallic percussion. It closes out another release from Redshape that offers six more classic pieces that are as idiosyncratic as they innovative..

Industrial and minimalistic heavy mid-tempo darkcore / teknoir / technoscuro a la Mononom and Schmerzlabor, from the sinister southside of Belgium. It's been a harsh winter this year...

Butch is rightly regarded as one of the most prolific producers in electronic music, having graced countless revered labels including Sei es Drum, Cocoon, Rekids and Visionquest. On FTS he makes his long overdue debut on Desolat with four deep and distinctive tracks. Opening track 'Pompino' kicks off the EP with a distorted rhythm and contorted vocals which build and build into a twisted and trippy groove. 'Dimensions' follows in a similar vein, developing slowly and building tension until the tracks drops back in a distorted fashion with distinctive bells and unnerving harmonies. B-side 'Desert Storm' captivates the listener from the off, with a hypnotic rhythm until the track lives up to its exotic name and sees a wailing vocal comes in and cut through the beat. 'Sonny Got It Going On' rounds off the EP in fine style. Proceeding at a slower BPM, it features crisp drums and a dusty gangster-movie sample, culminating in a distinctive and classy slice of electronic music. On 'FTS' Butch lives up to his billing as one of the finest producers around, delivering a four-track twisted and hedonistic journey through expertly crafted underground sounds.

Despite the watery divide between them, Brooklyn-bound Greg Schappert and London-based Tom Russell have fostered a production partnership as Donor / Truss for the last six years, emerging today as one of techno's more robust and hardworking duos. As solo artists they've racked up notable releases between them on labels like Stroboscopic Artefacts, Perc Trax and Our Circula Sound, outside of Schappert's own Miniscule imprint. Meanwhile Russell has been stepping out as the acid-charged MPIA3, lately flexing a 'less is more' approach with outings on Avian and R&S.
For Grey Series 05 they don the Donor / Truss moniker once again after a spell apart, proving themselves as accomplished and unpredictable as ever with the fully formed 'Aber'. On the A-side swampy techno is bruised with house in 'Spacial', turning soupy on the sluggish and barely rippling 'Beneath'. Fidgety 'Ease' then does an about turn on the B-side before plunging headlong into swollen substrata stuff on the close.

On Saturday the 13th of April De:tuned is hosting the Multi-Dimensional World event at Petrol Club in Antwerp, Belgium focussing on the best in old school techno, acid and rave. To beat the drum, De:tuned is releasing a very limited 12'' record featuring tracks by artists who will be performing at the event on April 13th. Each artist is bringing his unique sound to the table, but with an added De:tuned twist. The result is a double A side release which will be available on heavyweight yellow vinyl.

The EP kicks off with Neil Landstrumm's 'Rise', a belting piece of neo-rave with Landstrumm's typical wonky style adding some extra gritty flavour. This is one for the warehouse!
With Mark Archer's 'Tuned For The D' it's 1991 all over again. Mark brings in the breakbeats and the Detroit keys and what you get is a peak time floor burner which will put a smile on your face.
Next up is Belgium's own Stanny Franssen with 'Multi-Vintages #1', a hypnotic and building pure techno track which reminds us of old Sterac and the more minimal output of Planetary Assault Systems. Yes it's that good!
Paul 'Damage' Bailey of House of God fame finishes off the EP with 'Dry Red', a fierce piece of freaky dark room techno designed to cause absolute mayhem on the floor.

Welcome back to the Cocoon Recordings headquarter. We are proud to present the next chapter of our infamous compilation-series and believe or not: It's 'M' already! Dutch based sushitech-producer Makam presents a dreamy opening track that is without any doubt the perfect start for this compilation. Warm harmonies and dropping sounds open up the door for track number two by Matt Tolfrey and Inxec: 'Never in doubt' continues where Makam stopped however Tolfreys and Inxecs harmonies and the moody atmosphere meet a solid beat programming and merge down to a pushing piece of music that could have seen the day of light in Detoit, the inofficial techno-capital. Alejandro Mosso joins the club with the third number of our M compilation and he opens up a bag full of positive energy and happiness. With a slight Cadenza-feeling his tune is made for the next beach-party and perfect for all you Âme-fans out there. 'Grinding Love' want you to move, forget and dance till you sweat! Douglas Greed steps back a bit on the energy scale but adds more craziness to the package with his production. 'Dynamite' is a freaky piece of tech-house in a cool Green Velvet style. Mariana Wax draws its start-point from the deepest place on the earth and in the sea, the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean & its fearsome, mysterious & beautiful creatures. The imprint starts with a track by Mariana founder Dave Twomey - Tr nch's 'Challenger Deep' - a gnarled ambient soundscape featuring the voice of Captain Jacques Picard describing the first descent in 1960 to over 10,000 metres below sea level, the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Komisch goes back in time for the story behind its fifteenth release. Alpha Code is the project of a Milanese producer who was inspired by the emerging techno scene in Italy during the early 90s.

Seeking to translate the mind-bending sounds of Lory D, ACV and Sandro Galli, he bought some basic equipment and started to experiment. But just as he was about to start releasing techno records in 1996, he was offered the chance to script a small film in Hollywood.

That job saw him moving to LA, where he now works full-time as a soundtrack writer and producer. By chance, on a recent visit back to Milan to see his parents, he was going through some belongings and found some dust-covered demos from early 1996.

Inspired by the raw techno sounds on the demo, he returned to his studio and created 'Brave New World' and 'Kazohinia', two driving tracks that resonate with insistent analogue bleeps, firing percussion, swirling synths and brooding bass pulses.

This is the first time that Alpha Code's music has been available on vinyl and Komisch is proud to put out tracks by one of Italy's past masters.

Based on a discography that stretches back to 2006, Dachshund has long been one of the leading figures in Switzerland's electronic music scene. Initially making his appearance in 2006 on Num Records, he quickly struck up a lasting relationship with co-chief Quenum; the two remain collaborators to this day both as studio partners and co-curators of the Clapper imprint. Dachshund has since released on many storied dance labels: Ilian Tape, Harthouse Mannheim, Perspectiv, Contexterrior, and frequent home Highgrade Records. Such a pedigree alone justifies his peers' respect, and Caduceus Records is proud to present The Yellowstone EP, featuring remixes from Gerome Sportelli, Arttu, and Lad.



Dachshund's original version of Northern Steam sets up a powerful, rolling groove with obvious depth as foundation. Clear dub influences play against shifting drum fills and generous use of melody for an organic and uncommonly expressive whole; a pause in the breakdown where the pads swell, then slowly fade away, is particularly poignant. Next, Arttu comes with a druggier take on Dachshund's ideas that jacks in old school Chicago fashion. A pitch-wavering sequence throws things off balance, and the drums gradually intensify to full-throttle beatdown as Space Invaders make 8-bit bombing runs. Lad's long introduction of barreling kicks and slowly phased dub sequence dramatically gives way to large swaths of the original melodic line, but after this breath he returns directly to charging techno with a small section of the melody near the end to provide a moment's respite. Veteran Frenchman Gerome Sportelli's adroit rethinking channels Jamaican dub horns to arouse discerning listeners, and his taut tech-house drums keep the tension high for its entire eight-minute duration.

With the tender age of 17 he been hit hard by punk, rap, gra¬ti, turntables, basement parties, Love Parade, Mayday, weed, 150bpm, and legendary clubs like E-Werk, Tresor, Wal sh, and Electric Ballroom. A heavy rave virus sucked up his body and soul and in 1995 he moved to Kreuzberg to start producing high-energy music right from middle of rave capital Berlin. Some time later he released four maxis with the BPitch collective and subsequently he seduced Europe with his intense techno. From then on Housemeister kept riding the wave - playing everywhere and every weekend.

And now He stayed breathless and is again back again with something new that is as much demanding as the other stu that lls his heavy discography. Everything on - OP-1' was done during his tour adventures only with his portable laboratory of sounds. The tracks of this concept album are called Tokio, Berlin, Paris, or New York and represent in sound the big city lights in whose shadow Housemeister tuned his brand-new tunes while beeing on the go: on airplanes and in hotel rooms. He recorded everything only with a little OP-1 synthesizer and made sure that his creativity bleeps like hell.

So get your butt in gear, make sure your brain is on a holiday, and go ballistic to Housemeister's unique design of musical frenzy that wants nothing more then drive you crazy!

Mike Parkers destructive rework of Mark Broom is finally unleashed by Selected Edits.

The limited Selected Edits series continues with a new track from Mike Parker and a remix from Perc.

Deetron is on a roll. Fresh off his Out Of My Head single with remixes from Kink and George Fitzgerald he has a new EP ready. "Character" is techno as you can expect it from our Swiss friend; deep but uplifting, refined but powerful. The track comes in two different versions, with the 'Beats' version being more stripped down obviously. "Can't Love You More" on the flip drives on a catchy vocal and goes more toward the (deep) house spectrum, but with a punchy kick to keep that dancefloor going. Class A material as always from Deetron - watch out for his new album later this year.

Nearly three years after the release of his debut album Lucky Shiner, Gold Panda
returns with his second album Half Of Where You Live, to be released on Ghostly
International and his own NOTOWN label (UK). The album is the product of a period
spent touring the world multiple times around, absorbing influences and probing
potential new avenues of creative exploration.
Half Of Where You Live represents a stylistic and thematic advancement from Gold
Panda's previous work, expanding on the ideas he presented on
2012's Mountain/Financial District 7' and this March's Trust EP. It reflects its creator's
nomadic existence — you can see the influence of his travels in track titles like 'Brazil'
and "Enoshima," in the oriental textures of "My Father In Hong Kong 1961" and "We
Work Nights," and in the sounds of "Junk City II," conceived as a hypothetical
soundtrack to '90s anime and the films of controversial director Takashi Miike.
'These films depicted a post-economic boom Tokyo in the 1990s", the producer
explains, "and there was a last days feeling in them. (The feeling) still lurks (in Japan). I
saw a return to that possible dystopia. I've seen people in Osaka walking around,
jobless, mental, stricken. I think real desperation and poverty is returning, it's quite
scary.'
The whole album, in fact, is described as a 'city album' by its maker, and it's easy to
see why — each track possesses a different aesthetic and reflects a different
environment. Gold Panda describes it as 'a jump from location to location... I felt like I
was stealing a piece of each place I went to.' 'Community' is a house-tinged reflection
on cultural divides in London, while "Brazil" catalogs Gold Panda's arrival in Sao Paolo:
'I wanted to make a track that soundtracked my ride from the airport to downtown' he
explains. 'The (vocal) sample is kind of like an excited chant, bigging up the place, then
it all gets confusing to replicate the traffic and buildings."
Taking on this loose concept has meant a more considered approach for Gold Panda,
and the music has harsher edges than his previous work, and an almost hauntological
feel at times. Crucially, though, this new approach hasn't compromised the producer's
creative freedom, and the album still flows with his trademark organic vibrancy. 'I've
tried to really focus on just a few elements,' he explains. 'I tried to avoid chopped up
female vocals this time around, as it's become pretty well done, and anything that was
too solid structurally. Ultimately, though, you just you find your groove and settle into a
sound and realize you only really need to please yourself.'

Disconcerting, questing brilliance from Rabih Beaini: two sick, nervy techno killers (including an Ethio homage), stalking the corrosive perimeters of noise; and deep, long excerpts from his engrossing soundtrack to Dreyer's Vampyr, with contributions from the Upperground crew, and Sun Ra in its marrow, alternately driving and motorik, off-the-wall, lost in space.

Nick Lapien's debut release as Metropolis garnered little attention when it materialized last year. A skeptical yet dedicated network of underground heads built up a subterranean buzz that has yet to spread into the daylight. That initial transmission was thick with the raw analogue flavors that have become ever-present in dance floor fare recently—but his is a sound that is dedicated to the emotive, narrative aspects of electronic music rather than simple fetishization or passing curiosity in the days of yore.

This, his second release as Metropolis, shows a more focused and patient hand at work. The titular track on the A side is a deep, psychedelic groover. Melodies, textures and sequences undulate and intertwine within a lightless atmosphere guided by Lapien with optimum restraint. Equally pensive and gorgeous, The Flood serves as a Machine's beat-less foil on the reverse. Made up of little more than feedback and two slow, echo laden arpeggiated sequences, this is reminiscent of Jean Michel Jarre's more sinister moments: a brilliant paradox of economy and indulgence. Expect to hear more from Lapien here at Sequencias. He has many more dark corners left unexplored.

A new artist debut for Auxiliary that we are excited about, a lot! Central Industrial are seasoned producers who cut their teeth with
breaks, IDM, ambient and all other late 90's forms of UK underground music. The William Gibson fans amongst you will recognise
the title of the LP from the opening paragraph of Neuromancer. The book featured as the main focal point of inspiration for the LP.

"A Death In The Family" and "A Gentleman's Agreement" are densely intense, intricate and bass-heavy workouts. "The
Creeping" is a more brooding & twisted affair, and the EP closes with the haunting experimentalism of "River Styx & The Goat Of Mendes".

For thousands of years the concept of time has been a matter of debate. The perception and ideas about time is still a controversial subject. Time is used to measure and study a chain of events or as an instrument of controlling a sequence. Scientists us it to measure while every day use of time means being in time for a departing train, leaving from a certain place in a three dimensional space.
Modern day man would also argue that scientific and philosophical theories aside, time becomes more important with age. From a psychological perspective, our perception of time seems to alter with age as many people feel a day becomes shorter and shorter. Indeed, a young persons day would be about approximately 1/4,000 of their life while one day to a 55-year-old would be approximately 1/20,000 of their life.
Perhaps is time the biggest factor determining the destiny of our lives, it's a necessity but also a burden. Time makes our machines work tirelessly, following orders from a programmed time line. Time dictates our existence in space between point A and point B in which we are supposed to live and spire. Time is the difference between making the right decision or for ever remorse the irreversible. To quote Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, during our predestined life there is "a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace".

The Black Ideal is our first compilation imagined in close relation with the content of Monograph's first issue.
It is, in a sense, both the climax and the conclusion of a response to the black ideal question; composed for the occasion of
eight unprecedented tracks. It invites eight already well established artists as well as newcomers into different horizons,
halfway between incisive, primitivist rave-techno and cerebral experimentations - it results in an aesthetic with a background
relating to industrial music and soot-blackened sound in cramped basements and dilapidated warehouses; as well as far darker

In the fourth chapter of Shaded Records Denizo continues his journey through the maze of sounds and moods where images and textures get distorted by surrounding architecture. BILL YOUNGMAN has been around for almost 20 years with releases on legendary labels like Serotonin, Scandinavia and Tresor. He crossed many styles from melodic electro to really, really harsh techno, but recently he seems to have found his very own personal style. The music he released on Killekill in the last two years show a very singular approach to techno and electro. percussive, deep, melodic, toolish - all at the same time.
For our label he gave us MARMOR, a masterpiece of dub techno, that could well derive directly from the Basic Channel nest: An endless groove of bassheavy beats and only ru- dimentary melodic elements that get lost in finely laid delay layers. DASHA RUSH made a more stompy remix of it which manages to keep the dubby and melancholic atmosphere of the original hough.
The last track of the EP, DISSOLUTION is a classical Youngman-track one could say: percussive, thriving, finely mixed and atmospheric.

Planet Detroit emerges from captivity with 4 tracks from one of Chicago's favorite sons. 4 tracks that demonstrate Hakim's diverse interests & techniques.

Hailing from Montreal, Canada, this young beat producer and DJ is no stranger to production.
Starting to produce in his early teens, and now at only 21 years of age, Kaytranada has the work
ethic of a seasoned producer.
His influences come from all sorts of genres. Genres between Disco, Hip-Hop, House and R&B.
As of the last year, he has made a name for himself through producing R&B influenced bootleg
remixes from artists such as Janet Jackson, Missy Elliot, TLC, Danny Brown and Teedra Moses.
Combined, these remixes have received over 1.5 million plays on Soundcloud and Youtube.
Kaytranada's impressive lineup of tracks got even better this past February with the 8 track EP on
HW&W Recording's (US)/ Jakarta (EU), "KAYTRA TODO". Featuring a track with Los ANgeles
singer and songwriter JMSN, this EP has received attention from blogs and press all over the
world.
This past summer he performed at Osheaga Music Festival, then followed it with a performance
alngside Lunice (TNGHT) at Igloofest in the winter. Lunice has shown support for the young
producer; including "Holy Hole Inna Donut", featured on his most recent BBC Radio 1Xtra Mix.
Many other industry tastemakers have given Kaytranada the nod, including Benji B, Rinse FM's
Lily Mercer and Brodinski.
"The influences for this track come from dances such as the "Harlem Shake" (the real one), the "Cwalk"
and "Jerking". Its an experimental beat for me, but I wanted to do something that I've never

Bunker I-III is an artefactual statement. The band TAP909 deals with this fact and creates some striking material in their live shows. The songs from this EP are taken from one of these indecent moments, which are radical, noisy and unscripted - searching for an answer between all these analogue machine sounds. An answer made out of technology which technology cannot give. Against the society of selfish dreamers and spine- less fools.
A: This is one of your ongoing nightmares, which is never-ending, taking you back to that horrible dream of sound and distortion. While listening, you will never expect that you can go home some days, but from moment to moment you will wake up in your past dream; only if you are lucky.
B: Step after step. Step after step. It leads you to a hypnotic condition. You will grow up in a toothless field and realizing that the end is close, you start to run but only to notice that you cannot get out of this. As soon as 'Mosaik', Siriusmo´s debut album, got released in 2010, the studio works for the sophomore album have begun. Unfortunately the myth of the difficult second album did become reality and so the album changed it´s face again and again, got delayed various times, until finally at the beginning of 2013 Siriusmo was happy with what he had accomplished. After beat works for Snoop Dogg and an album collaboration with Boys Noize, Siriusmo now finally presents 'Enthusiast', his long anticipated second album due on Monkeytown Records.

'Enthusiast' features 13 songs ranging from neo disco house tunes, electro pop, cutting edge hip hop to UK bass inspired beat constructs and various electronic listening experiments. Multifaceted and eclectic as always Siriusmo knows how to satisfy high expectations without compromising his sound.

To some 'Mosaik' felt less like an album but more like a compilation with its drastic jumps from genre to genre and its wild style all over the place attitude. To others that was exactly the quality of the record. Regardless which opinion you share, 'Enthusiast' combines the best of both worlds and makes for one of the most compelling offerings from Siriusmo in his more than a decade long recording career. The album still shows no signs of a one sided sound, but at the same time it is a more homogeneous and mature piece of work. This delivery is composed by two original tracks and remixes by the duo Ancient Methods from Berlin, and by the leader of techno in Spain, Oscar Mulero.

After the well-received and career-spanning compilation that was 2011's Ambient Selections, John Beltran returns with a brand new album entitled Amazing Things, due for released on Delsin records in March 20
As a life long pioneer of ambient soundscapes, blissful downbeat and stirring techno, Michigan born John Beltran already has his place in history assured with a bulging back catalogue that takes in influential releases on vital labels like Peacefrog and R&S. This new 17-track album sees the man draw on his lifetime in music to craft an immediately timeless body of work that's stuffed with genuine musicality, pregnant with emotion and laden with organic blissfulness.

Since Beltran's last original full length, he admits a lot has changed. "I'm using all new gear and virtual synths that I didn't have when writing Human Engine so it sounds different for sure. And let's just say that this album still wouldn't be finished had a friend not turned me on to the software Omnisphere."

Despite new tools and techniques, Beltran's touch still shines through in his floating arrangements, opposing textures and organic resonance, as do the continued influences of favourite artists including Four Tet, Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood.

"There was no real plan [for the album]. Some of these songs ("Clouds Pull") are over two years old. This album is truly an accumulation of music inspired by my life as a new father but I didn't write these songs for an album per say. I guess it was just written with a lot of love."

Love - and feelings thereof - permeate the album from start to finish. Tracks like opener "Retrouvailles" immediately submerge you into a utopian world with the distant sound of a playground coming over like the backdrop to a daydream, whilst more kinetic, splintered efforts like "Het Leven is Mooi" recall the aforementioned patchwork beauty of Four Tet, and "Flower Power Submarine" carries you along on a warm summer breeze.

Importantly, dark is contrast with light throughout, so more sombre, melancholic drifts like "For Vangelis" sit next to the more uplifting violins and raindrop melodies of "Broken Machines". Overall a mature and hugely resonant album for grown-ups, Amazing Things is full of just that.

The first release from Under Bron Recordings highlights a firm and direct feeling, like being seduced and sharing something personal with somebody new, the A-side showcasing a mixture of dialogue and trust. Keeping a steady house groove and pace, 'Sounds In The Grass' inspires the dust from the ceiling at your local warehouse to come down to the ground again, while 'Waiting To Exhale' turns to the conversationalists standing by the bar or on the outskirts of the dance floor. Delroy Edwards (L.I.E.S.) remix on the B-side expands the WRD horizon and brings in a different blueprint, where swirling sounds combines the track into a beautiful palette of youth and decay.

Next up on Light Sounds Dark, we have some tracks hailing from 2006-2008 from the cosmic Mutant Beat Dance, we thought it best to let them tell us about their music so here they go:

Protagonist:
Protagonist paces itself like a churning liquid seeping from the cracks of broken Chicago concrete streets.Riddled with scum and icy sludge, the movement of the track feels like it might be a sailor with spiritous substances flowing through his veins, but somehow maintains it's wasted momentum through it's sliding wormy sequences.

Capitulo Finale:
Wavey disjointed synths mesh with chaotic dueling vocals. Univox rhythms beat your brain into a soupy pulp, and your body into a pile of ooze. Off kilter and strictly for the mind numbed freaks. The Final Chapter...

LowLife:
Fragmented shards of a broken mirror, represented by a loosely hand played arpeggiator, reflect rays of cosmic pads intertwining the strains of the fabric. Remote vocal artefacts break the eery tension while various rhythms build and break the progression of the track.

The Fight:
Pop structures squeeze between mutated basslines and a steady rhythms, while distant voices loosely croon in a thin air of tension and imbalance where more depravity lurks. A mutilated brain trying to regain consciousness from the confusion of a distant memory.

Leif steps up to Sudden Drop with a powerful 4 tracker. 'Effervescent' keeps the beats deep and dubbed out but with a real sense of pace to work the dancefloor. 'Snowfall' works as a counterpoint; a beatless lush soundscape with glorious warm pads and echo'd vocals. 'Snowfall' roughs things up with tough drums and percussion whilst 'NDE' is a pure slice of melody infused house bliss.

Noir is not only a great Danish producer & DJ but an excellent A&R of his own label Noir Music. He has discovered some of the hottest deep & tech house artists of the latest years like Hot Since 82, Finnebassen and Larse. But he's not in Suara for showing us his A&R skills but for launching a new project, Innakat: the techno / club-oriented face of Noir. 'Grab Somebody' is a hot piece of groovy tech, a dancefloor bomb that Coyu has played in all his sets for months. On the remix duties we have one of our fav cats, the Catalan maestro Dosem, who brilliantly turns the original track in a futuristic techno journey.
