Techno Vinyl New Releases - News

Handcrafted return with their second vinyl release by Ukrainian born Yaroslav Lenzyak featuring his tracks "Diatomeae" track that has given its name to the Ep and "Serpantin". Including in the Side B, two remixes by Guy From Downstairs and Just_Me. - Vinyl Only

In the wake of the monumentally successful first two releases (both of which sold out and were re-pressed), VDK returns with an extra special third outing.

‘Outing’ being the operative word, here, as VDK’s label head has decided that it is time to shake off the veil of anonymity and lay all bare.

The story starts in Holland, with Dutch producer and DJ, Odette. Tired of the mainstream, Odette planned to carve her own notch in the underground and thus VDK (an acronym of her surname) was born.
In typical Odette style, the four tracks present on the EP are loaded with emotive moments, all powered by the house sound for which we know and love our producer.

VDK is a home for music that makes you feel, and that is exactly how Odette performs with her latest release on the label; VDK003.

The second release of Roof Records comes from the italian-based duo Orbes!

A brilliant ep with 4 dancefloor tracks, influenced by house and techno sounds from the 90’s with spacey atmospheres and analog basslines.

The ep is already supported by artists like Ivan Iacobucci, Anthea and Oshana to name just a few.

Recorded live in Kreuzberg.

DEAD CERT. Records is a label linked to the deathtechno website ran by Jack! Who? in the UK.

DEADCERTBLACK002 is the return of the vinyl-only series limited to 200 copies.

The second instalment features individual tracks from a selection of handpicked artists. Featuring known and established artists, but also those breaking into the industry.

This EP contains quality cuts from Marco Effe in Berlin, Arnaud Le Texier in London, William Arist from Uruguay and Qphoriq who is based in Russia.

A1. Marco Effe - Sonorgram

Marco Effe has a vast history, diversity and pedigree of productions on the likes of Sven Väth's Cocoon, Dubfire's SCI+TEC, Luca Agnelli's Etruria Beat and Planet Rhythm to name only a few. "Sonorgam" is a hypnotic, rolling, analogue jam with an alluring hook and full of masterful suspense ready for the club floor.

A2. Arnaud Le Texier - Corrode

Arnaud Le Texier is known for heading up the highly respected Children of Tomorrow label and his music has also been released on Slam's Soma, Sven Väth's Cocoon and Christian Wünsch's Tsunami Records. "Corrode" wastes no time driving it's droning, stabbing synth into the airwaves complemented by chopping hi-hats that create a raw, sonic intensity delivered with power and precision.

B1. William Arist - Cyanophyta

William Arist is an established artist from Uruguay with over 100 tracks released across vinyl and digital formats using a multitude of monikers. His productions have caught the ear of heads such as Ben Sims and his quality can be heard instantly. "Cyanophyta" is a moody and twisted techno beast that uses engaging, esoteric and looping tones to capture the imagination with a powerful style bursting with energy.

B2. Qphoriq - Statique

Russian talent Leo Vasilets aka Qphoriq makes his debut on DEAD CERT. in distinguished style here. "Statique" is a thumping and euphoric effort using dreamy chords and distinctive drum rolls to create a compelling tapestry of sound design with emotional connection that excites and satisfies with its depth and character.

Session Victim's new label adventure Pen & Paper sets it's sails with the boys' first original track since their 2017 album Listen to your Heart. Puzzle builds an intense groove from an array of mechanical and organic percussion and chunky 12 bit chordstabs over a haunted pad and noise backdrop. Closing the A side, VRIL takes the tune far out into deserted wasteland, steering his drumloops over chilly soundscapes towards a lynchesque string horizon. With not one but two versions, Iron Curtis claims the Flip all for himself and, well, excels, excels twice. B1 hits with everything a breakbeat can hit you with and it brings that exact kind of bassline along. Euphoric retro arps flush everything into enigmatic breakdowns to bring it back out and further. Mr Curtis finally brings the record into classy House territory with his Passagen Mix, embedding the original in between a heavily bouncing rhythm and an irresistible string section. Vital Sales Points: - New Label by the infamous Session Victim - Smashing remixes by Vril (Dystopian, Giegling) and Iron Curtis (Hudd Traxx, Frank Music) - Extensive Global Promo + Tour - VINYL ONLY

Duky vs Odette, a journey from America to Europe

The A-side - Departure
Label boss Duky delivers two tracks that fuse the elements of grass roots, blues and jazz with a solid forward marching arrangement that result in two organic, groovy cuts that remind us of a coming of age, right of passage. A happy carelessness that is needed and welcome in these trying times.
‘Head In the Clouds’ is a vision of a young man's hopes and dreams as to how he views the world filled with positivity.
‘Ari’ is a very flirtatious cut, spunky, whimsical and jolly piece that is reminiscent of someone giving their farewell to their family right before embarking on an adventure showcasing a sense of love, life, and home. strong and delicate all at the same time.

The B-side - Arrival
Odette delivers her take on what the current tone and mood can be felt throughout the old country where everything, despite the adversities, continues to move forward at a steady pace, deep and eclectic, as it's showcased in ‘Creme de Violette’.
Culminating in smooth jazz, hip-hop, deepness that can be considered a soothing lullaby. Perfectly arranged as proper send off to a short but enlightening trip into the new sounds of the old country in form of the ‘Tough Enough’.

The vinyl as whole tells the story of two minds meeting and sharing their thoughts, hopes and dreams in an intelligent, cohesive way balancing their mutual commonalities and differences.

Subosc announces a new vinyl release by Tin Man & Foreign Material.

Born in 1978 and raised in California, Tin Man started releasing records in 2004 and established his reputation as a solid techno producer, with impactful releases on labels such as Acid Test, Killekill, and Pomelo.

Foreign Material has a Conservatoire and History background, which shaped his interest in dark atmospheres and techno music. His spirit of techno is a mix of ancient myths and futuristic visions. He is known for his releases on Curle, Norite and Supercinema.

Together they deliver a multi-faceted collaboration with 3 original tracks that provide a lush, hypnotic, mysterious, yet enticing voyage that spans across the functional and mental spectrum.
The narration is intense, at traits metaphysical and dramatic, and always evocative.

From a technical perspective, the artists provide an interesting blend of monophonic and polyphonic synths with percussive elements.
Delays and reverbs also play an important role, adding an interesting density and spatial awareness to the ground structure.
The percussive modeling is precisely coordinated with the synth action, leading to a peculiar form of ritualistic techno with stargazing effects.

In addition to the original tracks, Claudio PRC provides an impressive signature ambient techno reinterpretation of "Drowning" with an evolving and energetic yet atmospheric attitude.

A special artwork hand-designed by Paw Grabowski complements this full cover vinyl release.
The EP is a true timeless collector item available as a limited pressing. Don't miss it!

Listening to a vinyl record, as you would read a book, is one of the last action where we are not surveilled, analyzed, spied by a technologic company. Nor we are constantly disrupted by messages, advertising or else. This act of resistance helps an alternative technology, such as printed culture, to survive. Next up on Nico Stojan and Acid Pauli’s Ouïe label is the Tia EP by Cologne-based producer Jonathan Kaspar. Fitting perfectly into the label’s roster, as the 2018 predecessor Mera, this is three tracks of tricky, leftfield dance music that will appeal to the more adventurous electronic music aficionados. Lead track Tia is a brooding epic, unfolding in unexpected ways as the rougher edges give way to dreamy pads and a tight, loopy groove keeps things in motion. Bigna shares a similar aesthetic - an intricate percussive groove provides the foundation for some minimalistic synth explorations and textures. Exclusively on the vinyl release is Nea - artfully balancing dancefloor prowess with esoteric instrumentation and a minimal aesthetic. Elin rounds off the digital release, a slow burning heater with live percussion, thick bass and atmospheric pads and blasts of noise.

Luminaere wants to convey a forward-thinking approach to underground electronic music. Its aim is to host music of artists showing strong musical identity with influences ranging from minimal to deeper shades of techno and groovy electro, the key point being blending those influences to create something innovative and personal.

Luminaere is glad to introduce its first release, counting label founder Daïf and respected French producer Lowris on it. This first record is an insight to the label's will to show plurality in its sounds influences. Daïf dives into a spacey electro atmosphere while Lowris gives a dark minimalistic interpretation of Malinx. More can be expected to come out of the label, always pursuing the same ambition.

Sascha Dive was last spotted on Bondage-Music earlier this year with the deep hypnotic pulses of ‘Dark Night’ on ‘Bondage Games 5’. So it’s fitting he returns with ‘Detroit Sunrise’ and, as sure as day follows night, it’s every bit as deep, pulsing and hypnotic as you’d expect from the Frankfurt craftsman…

His first full EP for the Leipzig label, we open with real talk. ‘Detroit Sunrise’ warms up with broad, swinging drums, rippling textures and a crucial spoken word sample every single one of us should consider. It sets the scene for two classic Dive deep adventures as both ‘Dub Chronicles #1’ and ‘Dub Chronicles #2’ both roll out with subtlety and understatement. Layered, absorbing and endless; timeless tools made for those deep mix moments of magic.

Last but not least, we end on an upbeat. ‘Ghostdancer’ takes more of a sprightly, light-footed note with an upward-spiralling arpeggiated riff, gentle ebb and flow chords and a light peppering of cosmic flurries. Ghoulishly good. Like all things by Dive and Bondage-Music. Don’t get tied down, get tied up…
