Trance Vinyl New Releases - News

Renowned International DJ, producer and label manager, Lange, has announced details of his third studio album. After months of debuting hit single after hit single; the 2 disc, 25 track "We Are Lucky People" album will be released on November 18th 2013.

Taking a completely fresh approach to releasing an album, Lange set out first releasing a string of club hits, showcasing his strength and versatility as a producer. With every track charting a Top 10 Beatport Trance position, including an incredible highest new entry at #9 with single Destination Anywhere and support across the board from the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery and Ferry Corsten; the album has already proven to be a massive hit before reaching release.

The album itself sees each track reworked and, combined with four new pieces, creates a unique concept long player, carefully crafted to flow continuously from start to finish. This approach has allowed him to produce his most artistic and heartfelt piece of work to date in his 15-year career at the forefront of the dance scene. Each single has been unheard until release, turning on its head the concept of an album that spawns a series of singles in its wake.

As with his previous studio albums, Lange has again collaborated with some phenomenal talents in Betsie Larkin for Insatiable, a brand new exclusive for the album following on from their previous work on Obvious and All Around Me; Susana for Risk Worth Taking, a massive release from May which won Global Selection Winner on Markus Schulz's GDJB and now sees a stunning acoustic take for the album; Cate Kanell for Fireflies, an ethereal vocal currently taking the trance scene by storm and sitting high in the Beatport charts; Stine Grove for Crossroads, another massive release which now is given a downtempo tribal take; Hysteria! for Unfamiliar Truth which was first debuted on Lange's Ministry of Sound Trance Nation compilation earlier this year; Shannon Hurley on Superstars, another album exclusive with a commercial edge; and finally Ilseviolin, a fender violinist who has appeared with Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Carl Cox, Snoop Dog and Kanye West to date, for Violin's Revenge.

Holding true to tradition, Armin van Buuren once again caught the magical experience of his sold-out A State of Trance nights on Ibiza. Recorded live at the world-famous Club Privilege on Ibiza, is the seventh Chapter of his beloved Universal Religion series. Going strong since 2004, the series continues to bring nothing but highlights and exclusives. A summer's memory, caught by the world's number one DJ.

Hot off the release of his fifth artist album, 'Intense', and the A State of Trance 600 celebration, Armin returned to Privilege for a second round of residency. The A State of Trance nights attract ten-thousands of visitors from all across the globe, and its spell-binding show and star-studded line-up never failed to leave them breathless. Neither will its musical souvenir: Universal Religion - Chapter 7 (UR7). Through 2 outstanding mixes, Armin van Buuren takes the listeners on a musical journey. With exclusive, custom-made tunes and remixes by some of the world's most gifted producers, as well as a brand new Armin van Buuren remix and two of his latest mash-ups. Including a stunning new artwork of Joseph Klibansky, Universal Religion Chapter 7 deserves a spot in everyone's music collection.

The intense glow of worldwide sensation 'This Is What It Feels Like' still hasn't faded, but Armin van Buuren brings a new story to tell. The highly anticipated second single of his 'Intense' album is the energetic 'Beautiful Life' featuring Cindy Alma.

Dominating the global charts for months, ArminÉs collaboration with Trevor Guthrie still keeps the world turning. With platinum records in Canada, The Netherlands and Australia, as well as silver and a four week Top 10 position in the UK for 'This Is What It Feels Like', Armin had an amazing kick-off to the release of his fifth artist album, 'Intense'. Next up, is the beloved favourite of many fans, the mysterious 'Beautiful Life'.

Carrying the vocals of New York based singer-songwriter Cindy Alma, 'Beautiful Life' moves, arouses and enraptures. Though modern sounding, it has the energy and build-up of a classic Armin track. A dreamy track with an important message, spreading the sounds of 'Intense'.

On remix duties, we find Danish talent Mikkas and South-Africa's Protoculture. Mikkas, responsible for the month-long #1 Beatport remix of Emma Hewitt's 'Rewind', now blazes a new trail of big-room, giving 'Beautiful Life' that extra punch of electro energy. Those into prog delight will be feasting their ears to the Protoculture remix, giving it a peak-time flow of melody.

*** mega burner excl here @ Vinyl for you ***
Danny Darko, the "green" artist whose tracks have been supported from superstar DJs alike DjTiesto,
Armin Van Buuren, Chuckie, is back on vinyl with a new insane track.
This time he takes aim at nuclear energy with a song that mixes Progressive House, Dubstep, Rock
and features himself as guitarist. The A2 track is "Fukushima" a powerful progressive track made in collaboration
with Oryx rising star Toni Lewis

Over the last 24 months the #PureTrance movement has swept through the world of electronic music, driven by its flag-bearer, solarstone. First outlined by its debut mix-comp (still in Beatport's bestseller chart one year after its release), Solarstone's now ready to bring its essence into even clearer focus. Across 2 discs and 34, often exclusive or purpose-built tracks, Pure Mixes and Retouches, Solarstone and fellow Pure practitioner Giuseppe Ottaviani serve a future-proofed release that'll be as relevant in your collection in 10 years time as it is today. With music from trance bedrock like Aly & Fila, John O'Callaghan, Darren Tate, Alex M.O.R.P.H., M.I.K.E. and Sied van Riel, it also features new rising talent including Suncatcher, Adam Nickey, Sneijder, Walsh & McAuley and Driftmoon. Standby to receive your trance refined, clarified and 100% Pure!

Solarstone sets the mix's early atmosphere with some rolling gear from the harmonic end of Pure's spectrum. The faraway tones of Adam Nickey's 'Perfect Destiny', the trance-transcendent float of Aerium's 'Horizon' and flute-like drift of Elfsong's 'Seldarine'' form its opening minutes. Building the bridge skyward, Solarstone's towering Pure rebuild of M.O.R.P.H.s 'Eternal Flame' and his retouch of M.I.K.E.'s 'Respire' open up the euphoric throttle.

Reaching its halfway point, Solarstone bomb-drops the deliciously ominous tones of his most recent Pure Mix of 'Love Theme From Blade Runner'. Given sanction by the house of Vangelis',
alongside the Pure Mix of Zoo Brazil's 'Hearts A Legend', it lends darker tones to the mix. On the release of the second album, Richard says: 'Almost exactly a year ago we released
Solarstone presents Pure Trance - Volume 1, an album which marked the beginning of a journey of rebirth and rediscovery. Since its release we have taken the Pure Trance message global with a host of Pure Trance Events that have not only invigorated but restored a sense of belonging to a growing & passionate audience worldwide, and finally the scene is sitting up & taking notice: Pure Trance music is alive & kicking, and right now on fire! I am proud to present this second compilation of brilliant music for all lovers of the sound of Pure Trance '
Arriving at its summit, Richard enters mash-up-mode, brilliantly splicing Ferry Corsten & Betsie Larkin's 'Made of Love' and John O'Callaghan's 'I'll Follow' and further uniting Ben Lost's
timeless 'Jump The Next Train' over Franz's 'Emerge'.
'Tough to pull off, after the highly impressive 'Pure Trance Vol.1', but against the odds, this new outing is a huge step up again - 10/10, Album of the Month' - MIXMAG Italy's Giuseppe Ottaviani comes off his spot, boxing clever with an overtura of toughened trance logistics. He interplays the tracks of nu-bloods like John Mash, Colonial One and Andrea Mazza with those of Darren Tate, Sied van Riel and other trance establishment. Giuseppe says: 'over the last year I've played at Solarstone's Pure Trance events in many different corners of the world. To have the chance to capture, in some way, their unique atmosphere as part of a mix compilation has been wonderful! I hope you have as much fun listening and dancing to my mix, as I had compiling mixing it!' Marking Agnelli & Nelson's remix-return, Ottaviani (or 'the Grand Master of Energy', as MIXMAG recently christened him!) charges the mix's midpoint with a new version of Andain's
'You Once Told Me'. Whipping Sneijder's rebuild of his Aly & Fila collab 'Brilliant People', James Dymond's 'Carbon', Will Atkinson's 'Hemosa' and others together, Giuseppe brings about the release's final perfect sound-storm.

The mothership TUSKWAX imprint primes release number 10 from FRANZ UNDERWEAR

With the expansion of global electronic music culture at a rate like never before, it is difficult to find many countries that can boast a feverish admiration for the genre than Argentina. And over the past number of years, few have felt the affection and resonance of the fans as passionately as 2012 America's Best DJ Markus Schulz.

Following on from acclaimed titles such as Prague '11 and Los Angeles '12, Schulz takes his famed city compilation series to South America for the first time, and can cite several instances where his connection with Buenos Aires has stood out above others. He was specifically chosen to entertain the masses during the countryÉs Bicentennial celebrations, and cites the relationship between himself and the local patrons as pivotal inspirations when in studio production mode.

2013 has already been littered with personal Buenos Aires gig highlights for the Miami based DJ. Despite torrential weather, the Argentinean faithful remained in force to support Markus when the city hosted its own edition of the Ultra Music Festival in February. And the final seeds of his chosen city were sewn in June, in the immediate aftermath of two sellout performances at Mandarine nightclub, where he demonstrated his immense DJing art craft by playing for a total of almost 15 hours.

As is customary with the Markus Schulz city compilation experience, he pools the essential resources from fellow members of his Coldharbour family, including South American talents KhoMha and Danilo Ercole. Significant contributors to the Buenos Aires story also include Rex Mundi, Digital X, Grube & Hovsepian, Fisherman & Hawkins, M.I.K.E., Basil O'Glue and Protoculture among many others.

Markus himself factors prominently across both discs, boasting brand new singles and remixes, including a fresh take on the iconic Solarcoaster by Solarstone, a new collaboration with the incredibly talented Rex Mundi, and another foray into his deeper and darker Dakota alter-ego with the track Barracas. His tradition of anointing a new alias continues through Buenos Aires, with Marscela responsible for the first and last moments of the journey.

Flying Agaric last opus drops into the real Trance sound, not too psytrance and not techno at all, a real trance music experience, for 2 total oldschool tunes and one at the Goa frontier. Will you dare

Brian Transeau:"When I'm making a record, it's like pointillism in art. Literally - it's dot by dot. Like a painter. I'm working on a molecular level."

The legacy of a production wizard. The understanding of electronic dance music and all of its options. 'A Song Across Wires' is BT's highly anticipated ninth studio album, and another highlight to admirers of the special spark that makes his sounds glow. Carrying 12 musical promises of the Grammy-nominated producer, including collaborations with tyDi, Adam K, Aqualung, Tritonal, JES and more, this is the future sound of 2013.

The official follow-up of the critically acclaimed 'If The Stars Are Eternal So Are You And I' and Grammy-nominated 'These Hopeful Machines', is an album that reconfirms Brian Transeau's status as one of the most cutting edge artists both in and outside the EDM array. BT has left an indelible mark on electronic music and the technology and techniques that make it possible. The architect behind classics such as 'Flaming June', 'Every Other Way' and 'Love Comes Again', is the creator of the legendary Stutter Edit and has worked with the likes of Madonna, Britney Spears, Tori Amos, David Bowie, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Peter Gabriel and many more. It's impossible to frame his experimental and genre-bending sounds, making 'A Song Across Wires' a real flight of the imagination.

'A Song Across Wires' is the accumulation of over 20 years of pioneering music and innovation in the dance music scene. Recognized as the godfather of trance and progressive house, this album is a return to his roots in many ways. From the intriguing soundscapes of 'Skylarking' and 'Vervoeren' to the vocal smashes of 'Must Be The Love', 'Stem The Tide', 'Surrounded' and much, much more. 'A Song Across Wires' is BT fulfilling his art.

GERMAN ELECTRONIC ICON SCHILLER EMBRACES CLASSICAL with leading classical stars Anna Netrebko, Helene Grimaud and Lang Lang.

Opus, released on Deutsche Grammophon's Panorama label, features re-workings of classical works as well as Schiller s own compositions and includes Anna Netrebko's first encounter with electronic music, a beautifual reinterpretation of Edward Grieg's Solveig's Song . Opus was originally intended to be an instrumental album but then von Deylen heard Anna Netrebko sing: 'You just cannot even imagine how a person can have such a voice within them, such volume and such power in a voice, but yet utterly crisp and clear, and, in a certain way, very contained, he says. When I came across her voice I simply realised that she had to be a part of this'.

On its German release, Boulevard Baden called Opus '... the perfect fusion of classical music and electronic sounds , adding that Schiller ... overcomes genre boundaries and goes again and again in search of new worlds of sound'.

Christopher von Deylen says of the album; 'The classical music melodies are simply timeless and have a tremendous emotional vitality. At the same time, when you add the modern electronic sounds of Schiller, which also have their own unique energy, then that combination of both, together, reinforces the truly emotional power of these melodies even more'.
Biographie der Mitwirkenden
Christopher von Deylen established Schiller in 1998 (he was so delighted with Die Glocke by Friedrich Schiller, that he decided to release his music under the poet's name), with the project's first release turning out to be an instant international hit: Das Glockenspiel; has been one of the very few German productions entering the UK-charts top-three and was later remixed by legendary DJ Tiesto.
