'Lead Me Blind' and the title track fold processed vocals into stark machine rhythms, while 'First Principles' and 'When Daylight Fades' remain DJ touchstones. Telling a tale of house music’s early days or roots without mentioning Tony Humphries as a club DJ, remixer and radio disc jockey would make it an incomplete, forged and most of all a bit of a yawn.
Born in Brooklyn in 1957, Humphries’ musical journey is synonymous with New York City’s dance music history and the evolution from uptempo soul music to house: from being a dancer at David Mancuso’s infamous Loft parties to becoming a mobile DJ and getting the call from Shep Pettibone to become his right hand at
the then new Kiss FM radio station, followed by countless remix offers and a legendary residency at Newark’s Club Zanzibar. Next to that one, is was especially his work as a radio disc jockey for said station during most of the 1980s until 1994 that gave him majestic clout. Breaking new records week in, week out,
putting New Jersey acts like Adeva and Jomanda or countless up-and-coming producers from there on the musical map, while simultaneously playing the hottest imports from Europe, trax from Chicago, dance classics and all things straight from New York’s music factory that never seemed to stop.

Harry Romero and Austin Ato return to Rekids alongside the debuting Brothers Macklovitch, aka A-Trak and Dave 1, with the ‘The Corner’ EP, arriving 5th June 2026. Joining Harry Romero are Brothers Maklovitch, consisting of legendary turntablist A-Trak alongside his brother, David “Dave 1” Maklovitch of Chromeo, bringing decades of experience across the electronic spectrum, alongside versatile Scottish producer Austin Ato, who previously contributed to Oliver Dollar’s 2025 album on Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint.

Originally released on ZYX Records, Scrot’s three seminal singles—“Teufelsrhythmus”, “Der Rhythmusmensch” and “Der Amokläufer”—captured a unique moment in early European techno. Built on hypnotic drum machine patterns, lo-fi sequencing and spoken-word German samples, these tracks combined industrial textures and unconventional vocal treatments with early techno production techniques and a peculiar sense of humor.

Limited to 300 copies on black vinyl and 200 copies on orange vinyl, and accompanied by an exclusive postcard, “Teufel & Mensch” brings together some of the project’s most iconic tracks and remixes, alongside the previously unreleased Knauer Remix of “Teufelsrhythmus”.

More than a retrospective, “Teufel & Mensch” stands as a document of a transitional era—when techno was still forming its identity, and artists like Scrot were pushing its boundaries into strange and uncompromising territory.

Brussels-based guitarist Benjamin Sauzereau is one of the most respected figures in Belgian jazz, working across the full spectrum-from elegant jazz to adventurous improvisation. You may know him from projects such as Les Chroniques de l'Inutile, Hendrik Lasure Warm Bad, Book of Air, and Fur. Over the past few years, he has written a large number of compositions under the umbrella of 'REMORQUE', performed in various line-ups-a concept somewhat reminiscent of John Zorn's Masada compositions.



These pieces share a clever and imaginative approach to composition, improvisation, and arrangement. Typically short but vibrant, they shimmer with color and atmosphere-sometimes lyrical and contemplative, other times playful, whimsical, or slightly prickly. Each piece opens up a small, self-contained universe full of nuance, refinement, and space, interpreted by musicians who navigate fluidly between classical discipline and free improvisation.



Following the first release Un on W.E.R.F. Records, Sauzereau now presents the highly anticipated follow-up: DEUX. This second chapter dives even deeper into the sonic world of REMORQUE-further refining its playful contrasts, rich textures, and poetic unpredictability. Created on self-built analogue synths and drum machines, Practical Limits of Nihilism sees the typical Das Ding sound evolving into new territory, including 4 vocal tracks. The atmosphere varies from dark wave to ambient trance and italo, while remaining true to itself. The artwork on the gatefold sleeve was also created by Danny Bosten and reflects a collapsing world, leading to the emptiness that is symbolised by the white vinyl the album is pressed on.

Crash is a debut EP of Abel Dalum, aka KennyKrazyWorld. Often appearing on tracklists of many, now breaking through with his highly anticipated 4 piece solo, no-remix EP. Brown began his career as a gospel singer and joined a rhythm and blues vocal group, the Famous Flames, as the lead singer in the 1950s. Als MONO ihr vorheriges Album OATH 2023 gemeinsam mit ihrem langjährigen Produktionspartner und Freund Steve Albini aufgenommen hatten, konnten sie sich nicht vorstellen, dass es das letzte Studioalbum sein würde, das sie zusammen machten. Albini starb im darauffolgenden Jahr tragisch, und dieser Verlust hinterließ eine unermessliche Leerstelle - nicht nur im Leben all jener, die Steve persönlich kannten, sondern bei jedem, der eine emotionale Verbindung zu einem der Tausenden von Alben hat, an deren Entstehung er in den vergangenen vier Jahrzehnten beteiligt war. Er brachte Klarheit in das Chaos und eine selbstlose Hingabe an die Kunst und die Künstler, die ihresgleichen suchte. Auf persönlicher wie auf praktischer Ebene stellte sein Tod MONO vor tiefe Trauer und große Unsicherheit. Albini war zu einem grundlegenden Bestandteil des unverwechselbaren MONO-Sounds geworden, und allein der Gedanke daran, ihn ersetzen zu müssen, war mehr als entmutigend.Und dann kam: Brad Wood (Touché Amoré, The Smashing Pumpkins).Ausgewählt aufgrund seiner Vertrautheit mit MONOs kreativen und technischen Arbeitsprozessen - ebenso wie seiner jahrzehntelangen Freundschaft mit Steve Albini - betrat Brad Wood im September 2025 das legendäre Electrical Audio Studio, um aufzunehmen, was schließlich zu Snowdrop werden sollte. Gemeinsam mit dem in Chicago ansässigen Dirigenten und Orchesterleiter Chad McCullough verpflichteten MONO ein zehnköpfiges Orchester und einen achtköpfigen Chor für die acht monumentalen Stücke, aus denen Snowdrop besteht. Statt in Herzschmerz zu verweilen, entsteht eine eindringliche Wertschätzung für das gut gelebte Leben mit einem geliebten Freund - und eine Sehnsucht danach, was noch kommen mag. Snowdrop ist der Klang einer Band, die Schock und Trauer in Hoffnung und Staunen verwandelt - und neue Klarheit im befreienden Gefühl des Nichtwissens findet.

BASIC - das Trio aus Chris Forsyth (Gitarre), Mikel Patrick Avery (Percussion, Drumcomputer, Elektronik) und Douglas McCombs (Fender Bass VI) - hat sein neues Album mit sieben Titeln innerhalb von zwei Tagen in den Electrical Audio Studios in Chicago aufgenommen und die Overdubs sowie den Mix zusammen mit Je Zeigler in Philadelphia fertiggestellt. Die Aufnahmen sind groovig, aber leicht und locker, wobei die Songs viel größer klingen, als man es von einem Trio erwarten würde. Für reichlich Detail sorgen die ineinandergreifenden Gitarren und Averys einzigartige Kombination aus elektronischen Beats und akustischer Percussion, die er live mit verschiedenen selbstgebauten elektronischen Prozessoren bearbeitet und manipuliert. Kurz nach der Veröffentlichung ihres Debüts (This Is BASIC, 2024) stieß Bassist McCombs (Tortoise, Brokeback) zu der Gruppe, und zusammen mit den in Philly ansässigen Kernmitgliedern Forsyth (Solar Motel Band) und Avery (Natural Information Society) tourte die Band mit dem Album die Westküste rauf und runter sowie durch den Nordosten und Mittleren Westen der USA und machte Halt bei einflussreichen Festivals wie Sound & Gravity und Big Ears. Die Chemie zwischen den dreien führte fast sofort zur Entwicklung von neuem Material, und die ,Dream City"-EP erschien im Frühjahr 2025.

Back to Titanic is the second soundtrack album released for the ultimate classic film Titanic. Composer James Horner created a new suite of light and dark music to represent "the soul” of his original score. The inspiration used in composing the original soundtrack formed the basis for the new pieces Horner developed for this album. It features a piano solo performed by James Horner in “The Portrait” and newly recorded suites by the London Symphony Orchestra and the Choristers of King's College.

The first highlight is the opening 19-minute suite, "Titanic Suite", which captures the essence of the film. The other major suite is the final track, titled “Epilogue - The Deep and Timeless Sea”. James Horner returns to the main Titanic theme in a subtle way, honoring the losses of the disaster.

The soundtrack of Back to Titanic is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on violet vinyl. The records are packaged in a deluxe sleeve finished with linen laminate and includes a 4-page booklet with liner notes by director James Cameron.

The second in a series of releases from Digi Dub’s archives, this 10” serves, as the title suggests, as a tribute to the late, great Julian Fairshare.

On the A-side, Julian vocalises, in his unique style, his crazy finger flicking lyrics over a slinky Digidub riddim that was always a favourite on his sound system. Repent, the (only) slightly more traditional flipside, finds him commenting on the politricks and lies of those in charge, asking them to change their ways, with backing vocals by Helen Macdonald.

A true rasta with firm principles and a heart of gold, Julian was brought up by his Windrush generation parents in a Brixton house that hosted blues parties, and as a result became deeply involved in sound system culture from an early age. For years he ran the Fairshare Unity Sound, working with people from all cultures and walks of life, always maintaining an inclusive attitude while also favouring the more experimental side of dub. In later years he used the name ‘Unruly Julian’, which suited him somehow.

He toured widely around Europe and was one of the first to take a roots and culture sound system to the USSR. Nearer to home he played regularly on the London underground scene, which is where Lee Digidub and Julian first met, leading to a steady supply of dubplates for his sound. On a memorable visit to the studio, Julian announced that he wanted to voice a dub that Lee was working on, which led to them releasing I Scream and No Way on David Records.

This time, the distant-future reveries we first heard on Board Up The House give way to an unsettling awareness of the present we’re actually living, as our circumstances grow too pressing to try and escape. “Signal Fire envisions a Kojima-esque dystopia of endless proxy warfare,” says vocalist and lyricist Tony Wolski (The Armed), “where the deluge of available information has outmoded the human ability to parse it. A world where those amoral, shameless and cunning enough can literally reshape reality at their whim through sheer insistence." Having roared onto the scene in 2004 with a uniquely demented blend of extreme metal, synthesizer textures, and drum-machine madness, GENGHIS TRON are no strangers to making a forceful impression. But Signal Fire marks the first time bandleaders Michael Sochynsky and Hamilton Jordan –joined again by Wolski and Nick Yacyshyn (SUMAC) on drums, plus newcomer Kenny Szymanski (The Armed) on bass–has captured this level of urgency with such visceral precision. “This album is very much rooted in the now,” confirms Jordan. Album opener “I Am All” sets the table with a chest-throbbing synth pulse as Wolski declares “I’m on a tear, I’m on a tear,” over swirling industrial rhythms and creeping synthlines. “Nothing Blooms in the Hollow” grafts desert-rock swagger onto interlocking layers of dizzying riffs and chants before Wolski steers the band into full-on sonic burnout, like a spaceship careening into the sun. “Born Prey” navigates deftly through Genghis Tron’s classic sonic touchpoints: furious blastbeats, electronic breaks, haunting vocal earworms, and a towering synth-pop crescendo. Meditative interludes like “Like Fotocrom” and “Without Form” deliver shimmering, ominous beauty. And “New Gods” invokes Rabies-era Skinny Puppy to bring the album to a bludgeoning, anthemic finale, as Wolski screams on repeat: “New gods to bleed me out / No new peace / Bleed me out / I love it.” Twenty years into their career, having proven their ability to forge common ground between Ministry and Aphex Twin, between Brutal Truth and Boards Of Canada, between Cluster and Converge, ugly-beautiful new genre hybrids from GENGHIS TRON no longer come as a surprise. What’s remarkable, however, is how Sochynsky and Jordan have taken a project that started in 2004 as a dorm-room genre-pastiche experiment —”a chaotic, wild amalgamation of all our favorite stuff, literally slammed together,” says Jordan—and refined their songwriting craft to deliver a sound that is unmistakably their own.

Mission of Mercy, the fourth full length album from celebrated guitarist and songwriter Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Fleetwood Mac) and his band The Dirty Knobs, is due June 12 via Soundly Music/Thirty Tigers. The album features appearances from the B-52s’ Kate Pierson and Morgane Stapleton alongside the Dirty Knobs’ Chris Holt (guitars, keys), Lance Morrison (bass) and Campbell’s fellow Heartbreaker Steve Ferrone (drums, percussion). Mission of Mercy displays Campbell’s full songwriting range, with tracks ranging from the unbridled rock & roll of “I Remember” to the Americana ballad “More Than Gold” and even the Brian Wilson-inspired psychedelia of the title track. Campbell states that “Mission Of Mercy is an action-packed collection of tunes that continue the vibe we established as well as some new directions in the songwriting. It’s full-throttle Knobs from start to finish and we look forward to playing these live this year.” Last year saw the release of Campbell’s New York Times Best Selling memoir Heartbreaker, which Rolling Stone hailed as “essential…a vividly told new autobiography,” while the Los Angeles Times praised its “tale of endurance and patience rewarded” and No Depression proclaimed it “does what the best music memoirs do: encourage readers to listen once again, or for the first time, to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and to Campbell’s solo works.” The Dirty Knobs (named after tech slang for a broken amp dial) were founded in 2000 by Campbell as a writing and club-date project outside the Heartbreakers. The group finally got on record with 2020's Wreckless Abandon and 2022's External Combustion. Those LPs, Campbell says, were the Knobs “trying to find our way as a rock & roll band.” “Now it’s down to great songs,” adds Campbell, “the depth in the lyrics and chords.” He recalls something Petty once told him: “Tom said, ‘I love the English language. There’s so much you can do with it.’ I'm discovering that, too. Looking for rhyme schemes, the right word. At first it was a struggle. Now that door has opened,” Campbell says. “I’ve turned a corner.” The Dirty Knobs are “still a rock band but growing into different feels.”

im Dezember 1977 im Talent Studio in Oslo stattfand. Nach einer Phase elektrischer Fusion-Eskapaden
in den frühen 70ern, stellte Connors’ Zeit bei ECM eine Rückbesinnung auf den akustischen Kern seines
Spiels dar: Der Gitarrist reduzierte seine Musik auf das Wesentliche im kammermusikalischen Gestus, getragen von nuanciertem Fingerspritzengefühl an Nylon-Saiten. Im reflektiert-fesselnden Zusammenspiel mit

Journal einige Jahre später formulierte: „Selten haben sich Elemente von ‚Hot‘ und ‚Cool‘ Jazz so eindrucksvoll kombiniert.“ Connors selbst wirkte beim Hören des Albums im Jahr 2025 erstaunt darüber, wie
sehr er sich während seiner fünfjährigen Zusammenarbeit mit Manfred Eicher für ECM in die klassische
Gitarre vertieft hatte. „Es machte mich nostalgisch für diese Periode. Ich hatte ganz vergessen, wie viel
Zeit ich dieser Gitarrenspielart gewidmet hatte“, erinnerte sich Bill, fast überrascht von dem, was er auf
seiner eigenen Aufnahme hört. „Obwohl es möglicherweise nicht das war, was sich Manfred erwartet hatte,
ist es genau das Album geworden, das wir beide wollten.“

Innerhalb einer einzigen Woche komponierte, nahm und veröffentlichte der isländische Komponist jeden Tag einen neuen Song - unmittelbar und ohne Umwege. Das Ergebnis ist ein faszinierendes musikalisches Tagebuch: fragile Piano-Motive, zarte Streicher und dezente elektronische Texturen verbinden sich zu einer intimen Klangwelt zwischen Neoklassik und moderner Pop-Ästhetik. Die Einbindung der Fans - die das Artwork gestalteten - macht dieses Projekt zudem zu einem frühen Beispiel digitaler Kollaboration.
