Man O To from the elusive producer NU is finally set to be released as a single on Crosstown Rebels, featuring remixes from Parisian producer Pépé Bradock who producers two amazing takes on the original. Since its inclusion on Acid Pauli's Get Lost Compilation in 2012, the track has gained huge support and become a modern-day electronic classic.

Japanese detective drama theme song by Yuji Ohno, who composed music for "Lupin the Third" and others, is reissued on 7"!

Composer Yuji Ohno has composed music for many TV series and films, including the "Lupin the Third" series and "Inugamike no Ichizoku" (The Inugami Clan). The theme song for the 1978 TV drama "The Great Chase," for which he was also in charge of music, is being reissued in analog form for the first time in 47 years since its original release.

This exceptional release brings together two of Marcia Griffiths’ most remarkable recordings.

Both tracks originally appeared on her acclaimed debut solo album Sweet and Nice , produced by

Lloyd Charmers and released on Trojan Records in 1974.

The Heinz Beauvaix project dates back to the mid-1990’s when Niels Rønne and Flemming Kaspersen played in Danish ambient act Swimwear Catalogue. On an ever growing number of DAT tapes they recorded semi-improvised synth/sampler/sequencer jams that mixed influences from ambient, electro and industrial. Later they began working with more detailed studio productions.

The seven tracks on “Vision Man” combine complex synth pads, interweaving monophonic synth lines, discrete drum rhythms, and strange voice samples. The sound is experimental and melodic at the same time. Influences range from early industrial to IDM, techno and synth pop. Rønne and Kaspersen originally met through a shared obsession with Canadian industrial giants Skinny Puppy. And if there is one seminal album that has influenced the Heinz Beauvaix sound, it is the obscure Skinny Puppy side project Doubting Thomas and their solitary album “The Infidel”, released in 1990.

Others have mentioned influences from bands such as Coil, Severed Heads, Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber’s Delerium and Future Sound Of London.

Wir können indirekt den Tod unseres lieben verstorbenen Great Ribbon, Mr. Don Craine, dafür verantwortlich machen, dass Thee Headcoats 2022 ein Comeback feierten. Ursprünglich hatten sie geplant nur eine Tribute-EP als Thee Headcoats Sect aufzunehmen - zusammen mit Dons Downliner Sect-Kollegen Keith Grant Evans - aber dann stellten sie fest, dass sie noch ein paar Stunden Zeit im Studio hatten, und dachten sich, dass sie genauso gut auch ein neues Headcoats-Album aufnehmen könnten. Und warum auch nicht? Das Ergebnis war, ohne viel Aufhebens, das Album "Irregularis (The Great Hiatus)", das 2023 bei Damaged Goods erschien. Ende 2024, noch bevor man ein Deerstalker-Band entwirren konnte, waren die Jungs schon wieder am Werk, und eine weitere neue Headcoats-LP war ,im Kasten", deren Veröffentlichung ursprünglich für Anfang dieses Jahres geplant war. ABER dann kam irgendwo jemand auf die Idee: ,Warum sollten nur die Jungs den ganzen Spaß haben? Wie wäre es, wenn wir auch den Sisters of Suave, Thee Headcoatees, eine Chance geben?" Mit allen ihnen zur Verfügung stehender männlichen List und Tücke schalteten Thee Headcoats und Damaged Goods ihre Charmeoffensive ein. Mit purer Entschlossenheit und Hartnäckigkeit wurden Ludella Black, Kyra LaRubia, Bongo Debbie und Holly Golightly nacheinander aus ihren Verstecken gezerrt, wo sie sich lautstark wehrten (was sie am besten können), um die 14 Killer-Songs aufzunehmen, die auf ihrem neuesten Album mit dem raffinierten Titel ,Man-Trap" zu finden sind. Das war keine Kleinigkeit! Anfang 2025 wurde also eine Aufnahmesession in den renommierten Ranscombe Studios in Rochester gebucht, Gin und Snacks wurden vorbereitet, und im Handumdrehen waren die Backing Tracks im Kasten - Thee Headcoats wieder zurück als die beste Backing-Band und Thee Headcoatees zurück am Gesang. Billy Childish übernahm die Produktion. Unbeeindruckt von einigen geografischen Hindernissen auf dem Weg dorthin war Ende Mai das Ergebnis ein glänzendes neues Headcoatees-Album! UND WAS FÜR EIN ALBUM! Es ist mindestens genauso gut wie alle ihre Alben aus den Neunzigern und vielleicht sogar noch besser... (,Ja-a-a-a!", flüstert der Geist von Don Craine.) The third album "Single Man", released on April 21, 1976, was an album with many controversies from the production stage.
It was discontinued less than a year after its release, and then a movement to re-release "Single Man" arose, and it finally re-released in 1980, so it has
a twisted story.

The album features a variety of performances due to the transition period from the folk period to the electric arrangement period, and above all, many
masterpieces that can be said to be representative of the entire RC period, such as "Slow Ballad". The driving force just before the rapid climb to

LA-based producer Real Bad Man and Michigan rapper Willie the Kid release their new collaborative album, Midnight, via the producer’s own Real Bad Man Records label. The album, which marks the producer’s second collaborative project of the year following Dear Psilocybin with ZelooperZ, includes guest appearances from UK rapper Sonnyjim, New York’s Lord Sko and frequent RBM collaborator Boldy James, who will be releasing his own Real Bad Man-produced album in May.

The album came together naturally for the pair, letting each new song inform the identity of the project as a whole. Speaking about how they identified that central theme of the album, Willie says, “I think where Adam and I agreed upon is that the stand out records were all themes for the night, late night drive, after hours dinners, shopping, private rooftop hotel suites, it’s a thinking album, a cruising album preferably enjoyed at night…midnight””

Midnight marks the early stages of what’s shaping up to be a prolific run of collaborations for Real Bad Man in 2025. His second album of the year builds off of the momentum he sparked last month with his first full-length album with ZelooperZ, Dear Psilocybin, which The FADER called “clear-eyed and focused in its own fantastical way”. Working as a duo with the dynamic lyricism of Willie the Kid after the psychedelic sounds of Dear Psilocybin, Real Bad Man returns to the essential underground beatmaking that he first emerged onto the scene with through his On High Alert series. As a DJ, I prioritize three key points when selecting music. I'll introduce this record in relation to those points.
The first is the power of the intro. I'm always grateful for killer tunes that get the floor moving naturally. The A-side, which begins with a catchy trombone, is a
perfect example of that. Natural Roots' performance is so dark that it almost makes you forget that you're in Osaka, the city of laughter.
The second is about the lyrics. Especially in times like these, I want to share a positive message with everyone. Frontman Livity Tabasuke sings straightforwardly
about his feelings for the Earth. It reminds us of the gratitude we often forget in our daily lives. Above all, his voice is soft and soothing.
The third is the 7-inch format. If you're going to take it to a venue, nothing beats a small, light record. The older I get, the more my hips instinctively tell me to.
The dub-inspired instrumental tunes on the B-side are also fantastic, and the album's functionality continues to increase. I also appreciate the addition of the
shinobue flute, a unique instrument unique to Senshu, a renowned Kansai reggae region, which adds to the local feel.
This album, which captures all of these elements, is extremely practical for me. I'm sure I'll be using it for a long time to come. I sincerely hope that the limited
edition of 300 records reaches reggae fans all over the country.

Return Of The Funky Man is the second album by New York legend Lord Finesse. Originally released in 1992, this album was highly anticipated after his debut on the scene just a few years prior. Having already established himself as a punch-line king capable of humorous storytelling, Return of the Funky Man cemented Finesse as a top-notch producer. Tracks such as “Fat for the 90s” and “I Like My Girls With A Boom” showed the Funky Man truly living up to his name, both on the mic and behind the boards. Mutant, in partnership with Back Lot Music, are proud to present the premiere physical release of Benjamin Wallfisch's incredible score to the 2025 Wolf Man. Leigh Whannell (Invisible Man, Upload) continues exploring the classic Universal monster series, and with Wolf Man hw again teams up with composer Benjamin Wallfisch for the score. Ben's score evokes the lush classic sounds of the original 1940s movie. It's a beautifully light score featuring incredible orchestration, evoking the mystery within the woods. The score is scary and brutal but also delicate and human when necessary. It's evocative and rich and helps add grounding to this very contemporary telling of this tale.

SCHWERT AUS HOLZ“ klingt euphorisch, leicht und positiv. Bei aller Holz-Melancholie, erlauben es sich die DONOTS, sämtliche Songs neu zu denken mit anderem Vibe, neuen Rhythmen, alternativen Melodien und trotzdem immer mit genügend Grip und auch Drive - denn schnelle Songs wie der Live-Klassiker „Dead Man Walking“ oder der heimliche Sommerhit „Problem kein Problem" treten auch auf dem Akustikalbum durch den Holztisch. Frischen Wind pusten aber nicht nur die neuen Arrangements durch das DONOTS eigene Heavy Kranich Studio, in dem die Songs in diversen Sessions neu gedacht und recorded wurden. Die DONOTS haben sich alte Freund:innen und Wegbegleiter für diverse Gänsehautmomente eingeladen.

So ist aus dem DONOTS Hit „Stop The Clocks“ ein Duett mit Campino von Die Toten Hosen geworden, während Kuddel von Holst (ebenfalls Die Toten Hosen) ein wunderschönes Gitarrensolo zum ersten neuen englischsprachigen DONOTS Song in 13 Jahren eingespielt hat. Frank Turner darf in der Neuauflage von „So Long“ selbstredend nicht fehlen, Chuck Ragan von Hot Water Music und Matt Hensley von Flogging Molly empfehlen sich mit Reibeisenstimme und Akkordeon und Shitney Beers singt auf ihre wunderbare Shoegaze Art und Weise das Intro zu „Keiner kommt hier lebend raus“.

Die Vorab-Singles „Allein zu allein“ und „Problem kein Problem“ haben schon diverse Herzen eingesammelt und das „SCHWERT AUS HOLZ“ dürfte sämtliche restlichen Herzkammern fluten - auch auf der restlos ausverkauften Vorab-Akustik-Tour zum Albumrelease. It’s a love thing…

MAN WITH A MISSION feierten im März 2025 mit der EP "XV e.p." ihre 15jähriges Band-Jubiläum. Die EP erschien digital (und in Japan auch physisch). Mit "XV e.p. Across the Globe" bringt die Band sie nun auch nach Europa, im Vorfeld ihrer Anfang Oktober startenden Headliner-Tour. Die EP enthält 14 Tracks auf CD und 8 Tracks auf Vinyl, darunter die neuesten Songs der Band: das schwere "Vertigo", das erhebende "Circles", die berührende Rockballade "Whispers of the Fake" und die Leadsingle "REACHING FOR THE SKY". Einen Vorgeschmack auf ihre mitreißenden Live-Auftritte geben die zusätzlichen Live-Tracks auf dem Album, die auf ihrer letzten "Kizuna no Kiseki"-Welttournee aufgenommen wurden. Die Live-Songs wurden 2024 im Pabellón Oeste del Palacio de los Deportes in Mexiko-Stadt mit Songs aus ihrem umfangreichen Katalog aus 15 Jahren Bandgeschichte aufge-nommen. Zusätzlich wird die CD zwei exklusive Live-Bonustracks enthalten, die bisher noch nicht veröffentlicht wurden: "REACHING FOR THE SKY" und "VERTIGO", die auf der "PLAY WHAT U WANT TOUR 2025" der Band in Japan in diesem Jahr aufgenommen wurden.

Mit ihrer ersten EP beweisen Fuller, dass es oft nicht viel braucht, um gute Rockmusik zu machen - außer Gespür, Haltung und ein bisschen Mut zur Reduktion. Der Aufbau ist klassisch: Schlagzeug, Bass, Gitarre, Gesang. Doch was daraus entsteht, ist weit mehr als die Summe seiner Teile. Die Songs sind kurz, direkt und dabei voller Details, die sich erst beim genaueren Hinhören entfalten. Die Band verzichtet bewusst auf überflüssige Effekte und verliert sich nicht in ausufernden Arrangements - stattdessen setzen sie auf rohen, ehrlichen Sound, der an DIY-Proberäume und verrauchte Spätsommernächte erinnert. In Stücken wie "Mew" feiert die Band die einfachen Freuden des Lebens, während "The Nix" melancholisch und reflektiert in persönliche Verlusterfahrungen eintaucht - ohne in Klischees abzurutschen. Es sind diese Kontraste zwischen Leichtigkeit und Schwere, zwischen Spielfreude und Nachdenklichkeit, die den Reiz der Platte ausmachen. Die Gitarre übernimmt dabei oft eine tragende, fast erzählende Rolle, während Bass und Drums für das nötige Fundament sorgen. Produziert wurde das Ganze gemeinsam mit Christian Bethge, dessen Feingefühl für Klang und Atmosphäre der EP zusätzlich Tiefe verleiht. Fuller brauchen keine großen Bühnen, um Eindruck zu hinterlassen - sie bleiben lieber im Proberaum, wo alles echt klingt und nichts inszeniert wirkt. Und genau das macht sie so besonders.

Hinter dem gefeierten Indie-Folk-Künstler FRUIT BATS verbirgt sich der GRAMMY-nominierte Singer/Songwriter Eric D. Johnson aus Nashville, Tennessee. Mit "Baby Man" hat Johnson ein Album geschaffen, das sich von allen anderen FRUIT BATS-Alben abhebt. "Baby Man" setzt sich aus zehn fesselnden Solodarbietungen mit minimalistischer Instrumentierung (Gitarre, Klavier und gelegentlich Synthesizer) und maximaler Ausführung zusammen und Johnsons Raumnutzung auf dem gesamten Album ist oft ebenso bezaubernd wie die Musik und seine stets bemerkenswerte Stimme. Für die Produktion von "Baby Man" hatte sich Johnson wieder mit Thom Monahan zusammengetan. Das Ergebnis dieser Zusammenarbeit ist das intimste Werk, das FRUIT BATS bisher aufgenommen hat. "Baby Man" überrascht mit einigen der rauesten Stücke, die bisher unter dem Pseudonym FRUIT BATS entstanden sind. Monahan hat die Vocals im Mix nach vorne geschoben, was sowohl die Souveränität als auch die Verletzlichkeit jeder Darbietung hervorhebt. Zwischen der Substanz und dem Klang ist das Hören von "Baby Man" eine kraftvolle und gefühlvolle Erfahrung. Das spürt man gleich beim Album-Opener "Let You People Down" und auch beim nachdenklichen Titeltrack. Johnson ehrt den kürzlichen Verlust eines besonderen Freundes in dem wunderschönen "Creature From The Wild", einer zu Herzen gehenden Hommage, mit der sich leidenschaftliche Hundeliebhaber sofort identifizieren werden. Das philosophische "Building A Cathedral" stellt die Frage, was einem im Leben wirklich wichtig ist und was nicht, während der letzte Song "Year Of The Crow" mit einer stimmungsvollen, bluesigen Klaviereinleitung daherkommt und das Album schmerzhaft und gefühlvoll abschließt. Der Song ist ein passendes Finale eines bemerkenswerten Albums eines geliebten und verehrten Künstlers, der weiterhin Musik konzipiert, Emotionen vermittelt und Verbindungen auf sinnvolle Weise herstellt. "Baby Man" ist der Nachfolger des von der Kritik hochgelobten Albums "A River Running to Your Heart" aus dem Jahr 2023. Johnson ist auch Mitglied des GRAMMY-nominierten Indie-Trios Bonny Light Horseman.
