There's a saying amongst the elders: "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning!" When you first hear the pulsating rhythms of "Joy (Hallelujah)," you realize that the darkness of the night has ended, and the glory of morning has arrived. Produced by the legendary DJ Marley Marl and lifted by the soulful lead vocals of House music empress Lady Alma and the powerful refrains of the iconic Kenny Bobien, "Joy (Hallelujah)" delivers nothing less than a pure soul-stirring, hand-clapping celebration. As gospel means glorious good news, and House denotes body jacking, heart pumping and high-energy rhythms, this union gives birth to a spectacular anthem that will serve as a reminder that all music can heal, inspire, convey thanks and give praise all at once. This 3-track 12" EP is the harbinger for the upcoming album "Netherverse" in early 2024. Fans of Mark Petrick know what to expect for sure. The opening track, Negative Time, is a musical interpretation of zero point energy creation and quantum physics. Cutting, yet melodic goa-riffs take the listener on a journey backward in time through a mix of darkness leading to a positively melodic final. Danger on the High Seas is a deeper, more straightforward technoish track where light and dark are doing a wonderful mating dance between the crests of the high waves. The song was inspired by the mysterious vanishing of flight-19 in the bermuda triangle. The last track, Lost In An Old Junkyard, is known to the people that bought the Carpe Noctem compilation on Suntrip. But now it is available on vinyl as well as a different mix: the Tow Hook Mix! This track is the most classic Xenomorph track. Alienated tearing effects, mixed with exalted melodies.

STIMULANZ001 is the first 12" vinyl from the, until now, purely digital label STIMULANZ. With Israel Toledo's "Counterattack" we ring in the new year 2024. Hardly anyone can escape the pulsating energy of Toledo's driving beats and that is, of course, the main task of our label.
Only 150 copies in transparent-orange-black-marbled 140gr vinyl will be offered. Each one is unique, of course, thanks to the individual addition of black vinyl particles by hand. Softly marbled records are more durable and have a better sound than splatter vinyls, because quality, value and timelessness are our goals.

Quickly finding fans in the likes of Elton John, Celeste, Paul Weller, Benji B, and Gilles Peterson, the band should soon find plenty more on a record that could soundtrack a David Lynch epic such is its drama and suspenseful, late-night orchestral ruminations. Capped by Lusk’s voice, a weapon that swoops through the octaves breathlessly, Gabriels have that rare ability to make you re-evaluate music, and what it can do, in a heartbeat.

Whilst Lusk provides the wow factor with that ridiculous larynx, Gabriels are very much a close-knit trio. Producer, keyboardist (and full-time video director) Ryan Hope hails from Sunderland but calls LA home. Fellow producer-composer and violinist Ari Balouzian, a man with endless musical projects on the go at any one time, gives Gabriels’ songs a real ‘feel’ to them.

Sultry, soulful mood music certainly isn’t the band’s modus operandi, with debut track If Love & Hate In A Different Time having originally identified Gabriels as a loose-limbed, soul-stirring funk and gospel-flecked odyssey. But this experimental EP should paint an altogether more rounded idea of where Gabriels are at… !

AI-36 comes from Ear to Ear - the debut collaboration between label regular Samuel van Dijk (Multicast Dynamics) and Ukrainian artist Yevgen Chebotarenko. Taken from a series of live recording sessions, the album explores in four parts a markedly darker realm of soundscape music. A cornucopia of abstract morphing scenes and heady synesthesia, the album brims with rich sonic detail and evocative gestures. Deftly blending organic sound textures with an experimental austerity, ‘Live Recordings’ displays potent and accomplished storytelling.

The album opens to a grey overcast vista, a natural landscape that slowly melts into a descending chasmic dysphoria. The mood transitions to a drone-based piece on the B-side, characterised by a more psychologically suspenseful framework and exotic blend of sound design. The atmosphere lightens, yet equally pensive as side C takes on a more elemental form, invoking water and its array of microbial and metabolic ecosystems. Brief cathartic moments in the final section pave the way for deeper wayfaring on the D-side. Stray signals and unknowable artefacts skitter across a vast subaqueous domain, a fathomless womb of potentialities that ebbs into eternity.

The French feel-good maestros over at Treasure, dig up another pair of gems from the vaults. This time F.R delivers two more killer reworks of certified classic cuts, that will have the dancefloor in the palm of your hands, anytime of year.

Swipe, swipe, swoosh the next bassline, the next hysterical hookline and the next drop is just a fingertip away. Rewind counter clockwise and again. 140 bpm is the goal on this, split on red solid vinyl with Terrorrythmus and Istari Lasterfahrer each gathering three tunes. While Terrorrythmus delivers his updated version of uk hardcore the flipside with Istari Lasterfahrer's tracks have a more old schoolish rough tracker vibe.

Fresh from their celebrated UK tour, featuring a stand-out performance at London Jazz Festival, Ishmael Ensemble return with ‘Reasons’ the lead single from their forthcoming EP ‘New Era’, a collaborative project with lyricist and MC Rider Shafique.

Ishmael Ensemble’s Pete Cunningham says: “I first came across Rider Shafique about 6 years ago after I heard his piece “I-Dentity” via Bristol’s Young Echo collective & was immediately struck by his powerful way with words. A true master of his craft.This record was an opportunity to lean into the more bass-heavy side of my music taste. I’ve always been a massive fan of dub in all its forms & producers like King Tubby, Adrian Sherwood & Pinch have been a constant source of inspiration over the years. This sound palette coupled with a voice like Rider’s is something I’ve always wanted to make so I’m super happy with what we’ve produced here.

It's been 40 years since Michal Turtle released his seminal, ground-breaking album "Music From The Living Room" into the world and promptly disappeared back into the aether.

An extremely obscure cult classic known only to deep diggers and aficionados of the finest order, it wasn't until Music From Memory reissued some of the tracks from it via retrospective compilations of Turtle's unreleased music almost 30 years later that his name become more widely known and a new generation were able to discover the artist's unique and pioneering style of experimental electronic music production, the majority of it very much ahead of its time, and to this day, still timeless.

Invisible Inc contacted Turtle in the summer of 2023 about releasing something else by him and it was during this exchange of emails that ideas were expressed about releasing not simply a straightforward reissue of "Music From The Living Room" to mark its 40th anniversary (the album has never been reissued in full) but rather a re-imagined/re-constructed take on the album bringing contemporary techniques, styles and newly recorded vocal and instrument parts into the mix and breathing new life into these wonderful compositions.

Collaborators old and new were brought into the studio and the songs re-created from the ground up. Familiar songs like "Are You Psychic?" and "Village Voice" get overhauled and echo remnants of their original counterparts but simultaneously sound like completely new tracks. The always mesmerising "Phantoms of Dreamland" is represented through a live recording at Café Oto featuring original album vocalist Lucianne Lasalle and regular collaborator HOVE on electronics. The remaining tracks, however, will be completely new to the ears of most people, never having been reissued or heard in these new forms ever before.

Regardless, whether in some way familiar or not, these hypnotic and repetitive pieces of beautiful sound art, all very different in style from one another, have an entirely new identity that even diehard devotees of the originals will fall in love with.

Romania’s Constratti delivers his ‘Late Summer’ EP via Yecad, comprising two originals and accompanied by remixes from fellow Romanian producers Sepp and Mihai Pol.

Residing in the capital city of Bucharet, Romania’s Constratti has been grown to become a beloved producer and DJ on the local scene and beyond, racking up releases on the likes of Storytellers, Aesthetic, Eagervision and more. Here though, Constratti joins the roster of Yecad, following on from material on the label by Barac, Dragutesku, Vlad Arapusu and Swoy amongst others.

Title-cut ‘Late Summer’ leads and sees Constratti lay down crisp drums and ethereal atmospherics intertwined with acid tinged bass in unfolding with a subtly nuanced feel. Sepp’s remix of ‘Late Summer’ follows and shifts focus to a more rhythmic fuelled feel, bringing additional percussion to the mix while stirring in vocal chants and fragments of the original’s atmospheric core.

‘Tempura Rolls’ opens the flip-side, diving deeper via bubbling synth textures, twitchy resonant glitches and airy chord sequences, underpinned by a rumbling low-end drive and low-slung drums. Mihai Pol’s twist on ‘Tempura Rolls’ then rounds out the EP, taking things in a more peak, dance floor focused direction courtesy of a gritty bass groove, saturated drums and the original’s smooth chords.

The Key Of The Future” takes you on a thrilling sonic journey that seamlessly blends electro, breaks, and acid elements with influences of synthwave and wave music. With tracks ranging from the pulsating intensity of “Acid Train” to the mysterious darkness of “Hasta La Mañana”, the album immerses you in a spacey and energetic atmosphere that leaves you craving more.
