Zusätzlich zum Originalalbum enthält ,Severe Exposure: Deluxe Edition" eine Bonus-12"-EP mit der ,Machine Cuisine EP" von 1994 und einen Download mit 17 zusätzlichen Songs, darunter seltene Singles, Compilation-Tracks und unveröffentlichtes Material. Das gesamte Material wurde von JJ Golden neu gemastert und die Vinyl-Platten sind in einem schönen Slipcase mit individuellen Covern für jede LP verpackt. Six Finger Satellite wurde 1990 in Providence, Rhode Island, von J. Ryan (Gesang/Keyboards), John MacLean (Gitarre), Peter Phillips (Gitarre), Chris Dixon (Bass) und Rick Pelletier (Schlagzeug) gegründet und unterschrieb kurz darauf einen Vertrag bei Sub Pop für die EP ,Weapon". 1993 veröffentlichten sie ihr bahnbrechendes Debütalbum ,The Pigeon Is the Most Popular Bird" und 1995 ,Severe Exposure". ,Severe Exposure" war ein Vorbote des Post-Punk- und Synth-orientierten Rock-Revivals der frühen 2000er Jahre, indem es den bissigen, angespannten Post-Punk-Sound der Band um Synthesizer ergänzte. Damals schrieb Trouser Press: ,,Rabies (Baby's Got The)` und ,Simian Fever` sind animalisch aggressiv und chaotisch, während sie gleichzeitig die synthetische Digitone-Lust der New Wave teilen." Und die SF Weekly lobte es als ,ein Party-Album, das man genau dann auflegt, wenn man möchte, dass ,bestimmte Leute` nach Hause gehen." Und es ist das Lieblingsalbum von Seth Jabour von Les Savy Fav! In seinen Worten: ,Ich bin immer wieder überrascht, wie sehr ich es liebe und wie wichtig es für uns während unserer Entwicklung als Band war." Diese enthält die bekannte Companion-Audio-Disc und wurde um ein neues Bonus-Replikat eines „Physical Graffiti“-Promoposters (Größe: 443 mm x 610 mm) erweitert.
„Physical Graffiti“ bestand aus neuen Kompositionen, darunter „Kashmir“, „Sick Again“, „Ten Years Gone“, „The Wanton Song“, „Custard Pie“, „Trampled Under Foot“ und „In My Time Of Dying“, sowie aus unveröffentlichten Songs früherer Album-Sessions: „Houses Of The Holy“, „The Rover“, „Black Country Woman“ (aus den Sessions zu „Houses Of The Holy“), „Down By The Seaside“, „Boogie With Stu“, „Night Flight“ (aus den Sessions zu „Untitled“, auch bekannt als „Led Zeppelin IV“), und „Bron-Yr-Aur“ (aus den Sessions zu „Led Zeppelin III“)."

Er agiert dabei im Geiste von Ryan Adams" "Heartbreaker" oder Bon Ivers "For Emma, Forever Ago", Alben, die sich auf ihre Art mit den benannten Themen auseinandersetzen. "Meine Platte "Half Of It" ist genau das - eine Platte, auf der ich eine Bestandsaufnahme meiner Gefühle mache, mich mit ihnen auseinandersetze, sie verarbeite und schließlich über meine Erfahrungen schreibe. Es ist bei weitem das verletzlichste Album, das ich bisher gemacht habe, und dementsprechend war es für mich ein sehr kathartisches Album." ergänzt der Künstler. "Half of it" ist nichts für Zartbesaitete: Es ist ein intensives Hörerlebnis, das den Hörer auf eine sehr persönliche Reise einlädt. Jaimi trägt sein Herz auf der Zunge und gibt einen intimen Einblick in seine persönliche Reise. "Half of it" ist der perfekte Begleiter für jeden, der sich von einem geliebten Menschen verabschieden musste. Wie schon auf den Vorgängern Back Road und Allen Keys & Broken Bits spielt er versiert und eingängig mit Blues, Soul, Rock und Songwriter Versatzstücken. Und doch ist es diesmal anders, denn es ist ein sehr persönliches, reflektierendes Album, mit dem er die letzten Jahre aufarbeitet. Ein Album, das textlich tief in die Seele des Musikers blicken lässt.

Die frühen Achtzigerjahre waren für den härteren Rock aus Deutschland eine ganz besondere Zeit. Der ausufernde Progressive Rock und der sogenannte Krautrock waren am Ausklingen, der Punk musste dem New Wave weichen und der Heavy Metal begann Fahrt aufzunehmen.

Einige Bands saßen zwischen 1980 und 1983 zwischen den Stühlen und können gar als „das fehlende Glied“ bezeichnet werden. In diesem Boxset
befinden sich gleich drei Schmuckstücke und Geheimtipps, die heute sogar aufregender klingen als damals. REQUIEM kamen aus Stuttgart
und lieferten auf ihrer einzigen LP einen Mix aus Hardrock, Pomprock und Progressive Rock. Gitarrist Tommy Clauss wurde später mit Bands wie ZAR
berühmt, bei denen auch ex-Uriah Heep Sänger John Lawton dabei war.

SPHINX ist eine andere Geschichte, denn hier haben ein paar italienische Gastarbeitersöhne im Raum Stuttgart eine Band gegründet. So wurde
das Debüt „Here We Are“ vom Label als „Made In Italy“ verkauft, was natürlich nur eine Verkaufsstrategie war. SPHINX nehmen das voraus,
was uns Jahre später unter Anderem Dream Theater lieferten. Eine frühe Version des Prog Metal, oder ein Vorläufer davon. Das gleiche Album wurde
von einem anderen Label 1985 als „Burning Lights“ erneut ins Rennen geschickt; dieses Mal mit einem Heavy Metal-tauglichem Coverartwork.
LIMERICK aus Saarbrücken haben als Schülerband 1980 eine heute sehr rare Single aufgenommen. Das einzige Album erschien dann 1983 – mit
deutschen Texten! Regional war der kräftige Rock mit Dialekt im Gesang sehr erfolgreich und spielte Shows mit Kim Wilde und Climax Blues Band.

Hilit Kolet and The Illustrious Blacks team up for the ‘Transatlantic Kiki’ EP. Dropping on Rekids late August, the package is remixed by Floorplan.
London-based artist Hilit Kolet returns to Rekids, collaborating with New York’s The Illustrous Blacks, the project formed by Manchildblack and Monstah Black, for the ‘Transatlantic Kiki’ EP, landing 29th August 2025 via Radio Slave’s Rekids. Legendary father-daughter duo Floorplan remix the single, with the release following up Kolet’s 2024 ‘Snap Talk’ EP, which won support from artists like Dam Swindle, Chloé Caillet, Bradley Zero, and more.

With lyrics that connect London and New York, ‘Transatlantic Kiki’ is a tough, funk-fueled roller true to Hilit Kolet’s signature production style, infused with an unmatchable personality via The Illustrous Blacks’ playful, vogue-like vocals. It’s hypnotic, bold, and irresistible, with the pair supplying a loopy ‘First Class’ mix that introduces vocal elements not featured in the original, amplifying the track’s qualities to hit even harder, and works the dancefloor into a sweat.

Robert and Lyric Hood, known together as Floorplan, remix Hilit Kolet & The Illustrous Blacks’ ‘Transatlantic Kiki’. Equally infectious as the original, they transform its rhythm into a drummy late-night cut. Stabs and vocal chops ride the groove, culminating in a proper lose-yourself-in-the-dance House cut that also comes with an instrumental version.
London’s Hilit Kolet came up through the former Soho Black Market Records shop, and has since become synonymous with the city’s House scene via releases on Defected, Snatch!, Domino, and Rekids, with a #1 debut on Music Week’s Upfront Club Chart and support from BBC Radio 1, Jamie Jones, HAAi, Skream, and more. NYC duo The Illustrious Blacks, comprising Manchildblack and Monstah Black, blend Afro-Electro, Funk, Disco, and House across releases on Soul Clap, Classic Music Company, and Defected, as well as collaborations with artists such as Osunlade, DJ Minx, Seven Davis Jr., and David Morales.

1988's Love Hysteria was produced by Simon Rogers, who at the time was also playing with The Fall. It contains eight songs written by Peter with Paul Statham, plus a cover of Iggy Pop's "Funtime". Record Collector said that the album's songs "All Night Long, Indigo Eyes, Dragnet Drag and Blind Sublime managed to combine direct rock power with Murphy's vocal gymnastics and imaginative way with lyrics."
