Nach ersten EPs & Mixtapes sowie der Produktion von Dijons Debütalbum "Absolutely" erscheint Mike Gordons Erstwerk "Two Star & The Dream Police" als bahnbrechende Fusion aus Pop, Rock und Soul. Der 26-jährige Musiker aus New Jersey definiert bekannte Genres anhand unkonventioneller Töne, Tempi und Texturen neu. Seine verzerrten Gitarrenriffs und gefühlvollen Vocals erinnern an Prince, durchdringen düster-experimentelle Mixe und schaffen eine fesselnde Klanglandschaft, die traditionelle Grenzen überwindet. Emalkay is famous for his club smashing hits 'When I Look At You' 'Fabrication' 'Explicit' and 'Crusader' to name just a few! A side 'The World' feat ft. Mark Robinson and Trevor Kampmann are Uncomfortable Police. They have been collaborating for years. First as Fang Wizard (2011) and then Party Milk in 2023. While those LPs are primarily instrumental, this new 15-song Michelin Star Hardcore album sees them both getting in front of the microphone as lead and background singers. Mark started and starred in the bands Unrest (who just released the 30th Anniversary edition of their Perfect Teeth album with 4AD), Air Miami, Flin Flon, Grenadine and more. Trevor’s records his solo material until the moniker hollAnd for years and has produced and mastered albums by the likes of Cat Power and Explosions In The Sky. On Mark’s seminal Teenbeat label that he formed at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia, just outside DC. This physical phonograph record contains one extra song that will not be available digitally.

Das zwölfte Studioalbum von Joan As Police Woman 'Lemons, Limes, and Orchids' ist eine krönende Darbietung ihrer Stimme in all ihrer metamorphen Pracht. “I was ready to make an album that truly featured my voice. Joan tourte um die Welt, trat in Spelunken und Konzertsälen, bei unabhängigen Musikfestivals und bei der BBC auf und arbeitete mit einer Vielzahl von Berühmtheiten zusammen, darunter Lou Reed, Rufus Wainwright, Tony Allen, Damon Albarn, John Cale, Laurie Anderson, Sufjan Stevens, Anohni, Beck, Meshell Ndegeocello, Toshi Reagon, David Byrne und Daniel Johnston. Sie nahm an drei Africa Express-Projekten teil, unterrichtet am Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music an der NYU, lebt in Brooklyn und liebt die Welt.
