Minnesota-born, L.A.-based musician, mastering engineer, and co-founder of the Jungle Gym label Jared Carrigan records solo and in collaboration under a web of guises: V. Kristoff, Congo River Club House, Freaks of Nature, Easy Rider, Lac Seul, Las Cuevas, M.M.C.J., Scout Island, Twin Lakes. Of these, René Najera is his longest running and most liquid. One decade after the project's 2015 debut (as Jungle Gym's inaugural release, JG01), he presents his first vinyl full-length.

Painted Life took shape from the seeds of a 2023 set prepared for a string of shows in Japan. Elements were later remixed, finessed, and expanded by a cast of inner circle collaborators: Leech, Tile Plazas, Precipitation, Maria Minerva. Carrigan calls the album a “memory book” – each track a snapshot of cities and sessions, filtered through a fusion of club smoke, mood house, psychic acid, and sunrise electronica. It's music of movement and discovery, celebratory and semi-improvised, chasing the pure essence of fleeting moments.

For this collaborative release, Eiko & Jim edited and remixed material captured at shows they played during a lovely two week tour through France, Switzerland, Italy and Ireland in April 2023. Pareidolia shapes an ideal collage from the best resonances and relationships from those nights. Suburban Architecture are pleased to announce the sixth instalment in their 'Architecture Dubs' series of limited edition 10" vinyl releases. While previous editions have seen some of the most revered names active during the mid 90s golden era of Drum & Bass deliver remixes of Suburban Architecture material, this final release from the series sees the remix duties handled by the duo themselves.

Following on from the now sold out release of Architecture Dub #001 to #005 (featuring remixes from Peshay, Blame, Nookie, Ray Keith and 4Hero among others), edition #006 features a pair of VIP versions, previously only heard in Suburban Architecture DJ sets.

The A-Side features a rework of the track that started it all, 'Visions '96', the title cut from the duo's 2019 debut EP. The familiar pitched Rhodes pads, ominous vocals and intricately chopped Apache breaks of the original are all present, but new layers of atmospherics, tougher drum programming and a full, deep bass all serve to elevate the track in this 2025 rework.

On the flip, 'Future Jazz '95', originally featured on the duo's 2020 sophomore EP 'Alternative Futures', gets a musical rework. Maintaining much of the structure of the popular original, the original vocals and some of the drums remain while, Rhodes, Bass, Atmospherics and more are all replaced, delivering a cut which manages to feature largely new material while retaining the feel of the original.

Pressed on 10" vinyl and housed in brown Kraft paper sleeves, the series makes visual reference to the exclusive dubplate pressings which introduced so many classic cuts to the UK's dancefloors in the 90s.

Lead singer and guitarist Adrien Kazigira wrote over 23 new songs for the project, 19 of which were recorded. As always, he sings in Kinyarwanda, Rwanda"s national language. The songs explore themes of love, loss, rural life, and cultural change, with a poetic depth reminiscent of Nick Drake, Boubacar Traoré, or Astral Weeks. Kazigira is joined by Janvier Havugimana, who provides harmonies and percussion using everyday objects like cups, plastic wrap, and old boots. A raw, heartfelt, and hopeful album-quietly powerful and profoundly human.

This is where it all starts. Without any reminiscing about their former band Operation Ivy, Matt Freeman (bass) and Tim Armstrong (guitar/vocals) blast through their debut without any hints of ska or blatant Clash plagiarizing. On the contrary, this album rips through 15 tracks of high-energy punk that"s accompanied by heavy bass leads and Armstrong"s permanently slurred vocals. And to top it all off, the lyrical content deals with urban blight and the lifestyle of being a public nuisance. Legendary postmodern, post punk, post human, past caring collective Mekons return with a brand-new album for 2025. Their first release on Fire Records, ‘Horror’ a collection of songs written in late 2022 but providing a horribly prescient reflection of the world in its current miasma and how we got here. ‘Horror’ looks at history and the legacies of British imperialism with mashed up lyrics set against a typically eclectic sound that amalgamates everything from dub, country, noise, rock & roll, electronica, punk, music hall, polka and you can even take your partner for a nice waltz on ‘Sad And Sad And Sad’. The roots of their global sound reflect their nomadic journey through time and space from Leeds to California in the West and Siberia in the East and is woven into the fabric and intricacies of their song creation… Sounding like The Chills and R.E.M circa the I.R.S Records years, ‘Mudcrawlers’ sees just about the whole band joining Jon Langford on vocals speaking of Irish famine and refugees journeying to Wales. ‘War Economy’ shivers in the cold of such Boroughs spiked one-liners: “Clinical coercion will not achieve dominance!” Sounding like its straight off a Jenny Holzer neon sign (she of Abuse Of Power Comes As No Surprise), it’s held together by a disgruntled swaggering riff that underpins an explosion of disquiet. Meanwhile, Rico takes the lead on the maliciously luscious ‘Fallen Leaves’ an appalled and appalling Hammer Horror take on climate breakdown reminiscent of Rolling Thunder Dylan, that recalls The Pogues at their most introspective, its Celtic twilightism augmented by Susie Honeyman’s keening violin as the dying sun sinks down and the river Styx flows on in the pitch black night. Almost 50 years in the making, these Mekons continue to astound, their sound, sentiment and method of delivery blended to perfection by bass player and studio wizard, Dave Trumfio. I have been playing Eternal a lot in my DJ sets & it all started with Dev/Null posting a video clip of a tune he was working on, in a Skype group chat we're both a part of. It was probably the best thing I'd ever heard from him and I hassled him relentlessly to finish this track so I could start playing it and then potentially signing it for Future Retro London. That tune he was working on ended up being Eternal & I had no hesitation towards taking the tune for the label. I asked him who he would like to remix Eternal for the release and he picked DJ B (who's had tunes out on Demolition Squad & Brazen) and he did a nice 4x4 version, taking the track down a stompier path (I don't know if stompier is a word but can't think of a better word to use).

Watch The Spin is a tune I first heard when I was in Helsinki, playing at a night called 20hz, organised by DJ Sofa & ODJ Pirkka. Pirkka played after me and during his set, I heard him play this track which had a wicked 90s Bristol jump-up flavour, but with new twists & style to it. I went into the booth and asked him who it was by, and he told me it was by him & another guy called Onni and that they'd recently started making music together under the alias of Unlimited Vibes. When I got back to London the next day, I asked him to send the tune and he did and I really liked the track, so decided to sign it for Future Retro London, to fit alongside Eternal on this release. And to complete the release, Ricky Force has done an exceptional remix of Watch The Spin, bringing his modern jungle sound to the table.

Just a year after the last compilation stood out as one of the best of 2024, Pete Herbert is back with a another brilliant collection of poolside sounds that again explore leftfield Balearica. These are delightfully horizontal grooves that transport you to sunny climes and starry skies in an instant. His own reworks feature, including a version of Sidirum's blissful and astral trip 'Ex Plane', a more tropical and propulsive dub of Lulla's 'Love Comes Quickly' and a quietly epic ambient daydream rework of Bill Mango's 'Inflight Sample.' These are grown-up sounds for cathartic moments lost in your own thoughts.

In 2011 Kevin Saunderson, Ann Saunderson and Paris Grey, collectively known as the legendary band Inner City, released ‘Future’, their first entirely new material since taking a break in 1996, written and produced in collaboration with another Detroit legend, namely Kenny Larkin, and the very talented producer / remixer Orlando Voorn. The track marked a welcome return for a group that combined the tough, futuristic grooves of the Detroit scene with the vocal energy of R&B and gospel and helped to define the period in which house and techno moved from underground phenomena to top 10 material, paving the way for hundreds of dance hits to come.

The Kenny Larkin remix devastated dancefloors at the time and continues to do so over 10 years since its release. Now fully reissued backed with the Carl Craig edit from the original pressing and the MK AW Deep Dub which had previously only seen a one-sided hand stamped white label vinyl outing.

Large Music proudly presents the long-awaited reissue of David Brown – “Feel Love”, originally released in 1994 and now making its triumphant return on vinyl for the first time in decades. LQ (label owner of Echo Chamber Sound/Run It Red) sent me a track he had done with Kloke called "2049" and as soon as I listened to it, I knew I had to have it for the label. It's the kind of tune where I hear it and it makes me wish that I was the one that had made it!

When I was considering producers best suited for remixing "2049", Equinox was the first that came to mind because I knew that he'd be able to build on the dark amen flavour of the original whilst taking it to a new place that still respects the vibe. They were up for it & so was he, so thankfully it all came together & here's the end result.

The legendary 'Rhythm of Life' by American soul star James Mason returns with a series of remixes on this vinyl-only EP. Fresh interpretations come from DJ Mitsu the Beats, Dego and Yukari BB who all do their thing to cuts from sometime Roy Ayers Ubiquity man Mason's 1977 solo album. Dego's jazzy remix of 'Free' and Yukari BB's synth-heavy take on 'Good Thing' are standouts and DJ Mitsu the Beats adds percussive warmth to both 'Free' and 'Mbewe' by infusing the originals with mellow funk and hip-hop grooves. This one packs a super hot jazz-funk punch for the more open-minded dancefloors

Deep siren & straight to the groove Techno by Ronny Nyheim on new Norwegian outlet PsyPal. Full A-side with a minimally modulating solid driver emphasizing sonic tunnelling below razor sharp hihats. B1 is a faster pounding & psycho-tweeked remix by E-GZR (from Wania fame) and B2 rounds off as a saturated banger conflicting melody & lightly groving harmonic & padded noise. Stylistically functional & very real!

Since our first contact with NYC based producer Thavius Beck in 2018, he sent us over 100 unreleased tracks, or beats, as he calls them. 25 of them have been selected for releases on U-TRAX, good for over 2 hours of music, across this album and the Lovesick EP.

Growing up in LA, Thavius Beck entered the hip-hop scene as member of Global Phlowtations, and released several solo albums under the Adlib moniker. In later years, he released five albums under his own name on labels like Mush, Big Dada and Plug Research, and also produced albums for artists like Saul Williams and K‑the‑I???, and did some remixing for amongst others Nine Inch Nails.
Nowadays he combines making music with a career as a succesful certified Ableton and Bitwig trainer and as a music teacher at Berklee NYC.

The tracks vary in style a lot, but what they have in common is that they either are moody – in U-TRAX lingo: deep - or they are drum heavy. The common denominator would probably be 'experimental/instrumental hip-hop', reminiscent of producers like Flying Lotus. People have tried all sorts of comparisons to pinpoint Thavius' sound, ranging from 'between DJ Shadow and Orbital' and 'a mix of Massive Attack and The Orb'. None of these are spot on, yet quite a few of these tracks feel like a happy marriage between hip-hop beats and techno sounds.

Despite the fact that some tracks are 20 years old and have been made with widely different gear (one track was even made on a PlayStation 2), this selection sounds remarkably balanced, yet diverse.

From the irresistible single 'Lovesick/Still Sick' to the dark and massive 'Birdsong' (that echoes the sound of his popular song 'Atmos'), and from the head-nodding 'Work!' to the soothing 'Reunited With The All' - if this collection showcases anything, it's Thavius' brilliant production and composing skills, as well as his wizard-level sampling techniques. The result is a luscious electronic music album with a broad appeal.

Son of Lee is Brooklyn-based DJ and producer. A native New Yorker, he has been active in Brooklyn's dance music underground for over a decade. The Hollowbody EP delivers two new reworks of a little-known American jazz-funk treasure. "One Time" is a filter house-inspired floor filler that's been dubplate tested to great effect on many a dance floor over the last year. "Get Ya, Have Ya" is a downtempo beatdown stomper reminiscent of LTJ and Cottam at their finest. Son Of Lee has been refining a unique blend of leftfield disco, cosmic, and deep-dug funk and r&b that he's showcased on earlier releases with Dailysession, Disco Bizarre (DE) and Rocksteady Disco.

Estonian meteoric label Sad Fun lets loose “Sauna Belt” 12—inch by Roma Vjazemski. Vjazemski brings along four tracks from his recent limited cassette “Handlebar” for Berceuse Heroique & adds an extraterritorial remix by Philipp Otterbach. Loose oddball electronica by the Tallinn based astronomy enthusiast.

Having made its mark with a strong debut outing by Jon E, Natural Element returns with a 12” single from the seasoned and versatile Amsterdam producer Kid Sublime. With previous releases on Kindred Spirits, Jazzy Sport and Co-Op, to name a few, this release serves as a little taster to an exciting full-length project to follow in the coming months. The featured track ‘You Got Me Runnin’ is a blissful piece of uptempo soul delivered straight from the heart, with a warm, infectious bounce and synths that cut deep. The EP sees remixes from West London’s WheelUP, who has been steadily making his unique mark on the broken beat scene for the past few years, and fellow Amsterdam producer on the rise, Mo Wrights, who takes the energy up a notch delivering a raw and captivating arrangement for the dancefloor.

Timely re issue of an Arthur Russell classic on West End Records that puts his unique avant-garde spin on disco. The success of this track led to Larry Levan remixing the song for club play at Paradise Garage. The song has been remastered from original analog tape for 2014 and repressed in conjunction with the rights holders, Verse Music Group.

A2. Dark Horse: Dark Horse: an atmospheric arrangement of phase-y pads reminiscent of the peak Autonomic era, filtered through the abstract lens of artists like Actress or King Britt. The pacing and negative space give the tune a weighty but airy feel, punctuated by heavy toms and documentary-style foley. Soulfully cosmic.

B1. Loop Me: polyrhythmic arpeggios, swirling delays, unstable harmonic structure, and chromatic movement form a tense, shifting progression. Built around a single bell sample, the track is reshaped through layering, modulation, subtle changes in texture, and filtered transitions. A techno stepper.

B2. Geiger Scale: experiments with playful but controlled randomness, minimal structure and off-grid sequencing. The idea centres on a toy synth with loose notes and laidback groove formed of irregular, rhythmic patterns. Geiger Scale perfects restraint as the arrangement bubbles along with sparse melodies. Smokey and potent.

In 2047, amidst the deafening yet oh-so-familiar soundscape of the Movement Festival in Detroit, we met again: I, pdqb, and Scape One, known as two of the most respected electronic music composers worldwide. The air pulsed not only with the latest beats but also with a barely perceptible energy only the two of us knew. We hadn't simply flown in; we'd arrived with our fantastic "Diskmind" time-travel machine, an incredible invention, capable of effortlessly catapulting us through the centuries.

For Synaptic Cliffs, it's an extraordinary honor to present these three Scape One variations of the original song 'Diskmind' (first released on The Electrifying Dojo, 2025). Each masterpiece was recorded in different future decades of the 21st century (of ourse with the help of the Diskmind time travel machine) and reflects the corresponding trend in electronic music. Crafted over six years by The Allegorist (aka Anna Jordan), the album traces the arc of life—from its fragile beginnings to its inevitable end—using sound art to explore existential and philosophical terrain. Inspired by the Andean mythology of the condor – a symbol of immortality – the album blends electronic soundscapes with raw field recordings, evoking a deep sense of connection between the natural world and human existence.

The album’s progression mirrors the stages of life, starting with the birth of new beginnings and culminating in death, with each track offering a unique reflection on the moments in between. From the dynamic energy of Momentum, to the ethereal, illusionary world of Fata Morgana, the tracks guide the listener through emotions, perceptions, and experiences that shape the human condition.

A distinctive feature of From Birth Until Death is its intricate production. The album incorporates field recordings from Grunewald Forest, a distant roar of a jet, barking dogs, blending the sounds of nature – footsteps in the snow, birdsong, ocean waves – with layered synthesisers and electronic beats. The bass and ambient textures are crafted using an array of analog hardware, while all vocals, both lead and backing, are performed and recorded by Jordan. Some of the vocal takes were intentionally left raw, capturing the spontaneous energy of early recordings, while others were re-recorded to balance the album’s organic yet polished feel. Each element is meticulously crafted, revealing its deeper meaning as the album unfolds like a multidimensional, living sculpture.

At its core, From Birth Until Death is a meditation on the full spectrum of life. From Birth Until Death is a deeply personal and reflective album and beautifully crafted. A detailed listen reveals that Jordan was in search of a profoundly human and authentic expression. In an era when so much around us seems defined by speed, Anna Jordan, aka The Allegorist, stands apart – aware that skimming the surface of life is neither sufficient nor rewarding. She reminds us of the value of deep, authentic listening.

The track Andean Condor seductively draws us into a smoky, blurred rhythmic soundscape, capturing the essence of the darkest Berlin nightclub, while Birth pulses with an almost shamanic transformation of sound, moving from the organic to the musical. It features a recording of Jordan’s footsteps in the snow in Grunewald Forest, Germany.

At times, the music feels almost sculptural in shape and tone – lifting, pushing, lilting, opening, and closing – where each piece is given room to fully develop. Many of the works blend synthetic sound with the natural, incorporating the human voice alongside environmental recordings: the wild waves of the ocean, a jet flying overhead, and barking dogs.

With From Birth Until Death, Jordan, like an alchemical architect revealing in the process of getting lost and relinquishing control, leaves us with a taut, immersive soundtrack in which to lose ourselves.

“The album From Birth Until Death did not come easily to me. I started working on it in 2019, and it underwent many alterations over the years. I produced multiple versions of the tracks each year, but the album name, the track titles, and the album cover art stayed the same for 6 years. Not everything I did fit into the album’s final form, but I hope the heavy selection just made it better. I played this piece live in my techno live set between 2019 and 2020, and in the years after, I performed different art, ambient, and vocal versions of it, most notably the one at the church St. Marienkirche in Berlin in 2022. It just wanted to live and didn’t want to be finished. As I aged, this album aged with me. And now I’m ready to let it go.”

Elusive leftfield electronica producer Kilig emerges from the shadows to unveil a new era on Cross Country with Air In The Dark and Back To Sofa Surfing—two tracks that signal a matured, exploratory sound, balancing introspective ambience with subtle rhythmic propulsion.

In a celebration of London’s enduring spirit of community, experimentation, and unity - fabric resident Bobby. and FOLD’s own Voicedrone join forces to rework Air In The Dark. Bobby. crafts an epic, psilocybin-inspired reinterpretation; Voicedrone - a hard-hitting high BPM electro reinterpretation; and cult favourite RAMZi offering a warm, deep ambient cut.

Back To Sofa Surfing receives its own forward-facing treatment from Manami and Dufraine — two voices at the cutting edge of London’s bass and electro underground. Hailing from a shared studio space , the remixes are infused with raw dub, bass, acid, and electro infused energy.

Oath’s latest release features renowned producer Kreggo, founder of Art-Aud and Secret Rave, known for his genre-defying sound and deeply atmospheric productions. Active since 2014, Kreggo’s music spans IDM, Acid, Breaks, Bass, and Techno, continually evolving with each release. His label Art-Aud is celebrated for its forward-thinking output. His new EP ‘Altro Mood’ includes three original tracks and a remix by Gilb’R, blending energetic rhythms with rich, emotive layers. Tracks like ‘Sensor’, ‘Labi Inside’, and ‘Obabi’ explore intricate sonic textures, while ‘Taylor Bottle’ and Gilb’R’s remix add further depth. In 2000 Belgian singer and composer ZIPPORA surprised the international trance-scene with her debut-single LOTUS EATER. In was produced at the time by ILLUSION-DJ DJ Philip and BYTE inhouse-producer EDDY WEYNS. 25 years later it gets a massive remake by none the less than NICO PARISI (known as a resident-DJ in ATMOZ and producer/remixer of Nunca, Aqualords, Nico Parisi of course and the legendary track METRO).

First-ever double vinyl release of TARIKAT, featuring 16 tracks recorded between 1986 and 1989, originally released on the now out-of-print 1997 double CD (Daft Records) and innitial 1991 cassette. This release features 16 tracks, remastered for this edition, showcasing E.G.'s unique sound from the eighties, reminiscent of other albums like Arispejal Astisaró, Nador, and Sheikh Aljama. This is a period especially appreciated by E.G. fans, where they developed their original and unique style that influenced many later groups and artists of industrial music and even certain forms of techno. Rough, primitive and minimalist, the tracks are constructed on distorted and noise rhythms, sometimes industrial, sometimes with tribal and African influences using synthesizers and analog electronic instruments. Gabriel Riaza, founding member of E.G. until 1991, worked in Melilla (North Africa) during those years, and this influenced the conception of many of Tarikat's tracks. The images used in this release are by Andrés Noarbe, who was responsible for Esplendor Geométrico's graphic design during the eighties and also served as the band's manager. The overall design is by Alonso Urbanos. Recorded by Arturo Lanz and Gabriel Riaza in Madrid and Melilla (North Africa) between 1986 and 1989. Tarikat is available as a limited edition double LP, a key release for fans of E.G., capturing their innovative and influential style that shaped industrial music and techno.

fka boursin is a DJ and producer out of Bristol, UK.
Previously known as DJ Boursin, he is recognized for his deep, ambient-infused house music that explores political dimensions of clubs and identity politics.

electronic music.
The original Listless Intertext is a hazy trip through ambient soundscapes, shuffling rhythms and half-caught conversations, drifting across a 12 minute run time that slowly evolves and shifts with time.
"Listless Intertext is a track centred around the "failed" employment of cheap vocoder software that attempted to process explicit words and phrases across 11 minutes." says fka boursin. "Instead, the vocoder output made any words indecipherable and I was left with thematic vagueness. The final text of the track is simply a submission to its own limitations with some french thrown in."
When label bosses Frank & Tony step up for their Housebeat Dub, they keep the essential mood but introduce a thick, fat groove that works just as well in conveying the mood.
"Our remix is a strictly dancefloor approach," says Frank, "an extended psychedelic beat rework perfect for late night, early morning vibes".
