April 2013 sees the release of Norwegian Disco Viking Rune Linbaek's latest long player, on his Drum Island label
Its his first album since the 2000 release (Sondag) on Paper Recordings RePap offshoot
Last year's single 'Wonder' feat Kurt Maloo on the label was a day one sell out here at All Ears and marked a significant maturing of Rune's trademark sound.
The influence of Norway on the world's forward thinking Disco scene & beyond is more than evident, with countrymen like Todd Terje, Prins Thomas and Hans Peter Lindstrom
all leading the charge for years now. The creative cauldron of the infamous 'club in a public toilet' Skansen has much to answer for !
Krasava is a very much vocal led project, with a cast of featured vocalists which includes Norwegian popstar Anneli Drecker alongside recent collaborator Øyvind Blikstad.
The album is steeped in Norwegian folklore, visually and musically and the gentle lilt of the Norse/Balearic sound, sits comfortably alongside more Cosmic flavours, Rock and beautifully crafted pop.
New release from the mysterious Ex-Pylon on Studio Barnhus. Shakes is a twisted, noisy 12 minute techno epic with razor sharp drums, acidic basslines and a daredevil breakdown, while Helmet comes correct with swirling pads from outer space and a deadly groove from deep within the core.
Some selected feedback:
Agoria - i looooooooooooooove helmet so much!
Catz N' Dogz - LOVE IT MORE THAN POLAND
Dave Aju - cool and trippy tracks... 'helmet' is a cosmic space jam!
Deetron - This is so so good, exactly what I needed! Lovely use of the samples in Shakes and Helmet reminds me of Co-Fusion, great EP!
Ewan Pearson - Shakes is great!
Ivan Smagghe - huge
Jacques Renault - Helmet is cool, I'm going to test it out for sure.
Jimpster - Another slice of gorgeous deepness! Both tracks are double heavy and going to be getting plenty plays. Nicely done!

Robag Wruhme - Download for Robag /Robag's mom
Sandrien - Shakes is a cool trip!
Superpitcher - super!!

Eklo 022 welcomes its newest member to the family, Robin Ordell. The young Half Baked resident delivers three deep cuts of jazzy modern house with a MPC sound. Add to this a stunning remix from the Frenchman currently making waves on Planet E and Metroplex, Ben Vedren, bringing a modern, minimal touch to the original.
It's time to get back to school and get your copy at your dealer !
Diva is a project which explores the outer regions of techno's psyche - combining the trippy sensuality of Chris & Cosey with the brutalist analogue aesthetic of the likes of Robert Hood or Liasons Dangereuses.
Inspired by the vocal histrionics of strobe lit sirens such as Loleatta Holloway and Jocelyn Brown, Diva calls on the protean roots of basement club music. Lead track 'Paris Stabbing' is a stunning excursion into motor city madness, abstracted disco vocals clash with a broken digi-arpeggio and hooverish bass break down, whilst the flip side 'But I've Never' imposes a detuned synth siren over an industrial bass sequence and sp1200 piano stabs to eerie effect. Also included is the 'Paris Stabbing (Beats)' which pares down the original, adding detuned melodic percussion into a minimalist after hours tool.
Memoria Recordings come back with 12th release this time from one
of the serbian pioneers in techno and house Marko Nastic, who delivery a quality EP.
Already get the likes and support of:
Robert Dietz, Guti, Ernesto Ferreyra, Ray Okpara, MANDY, Luca Bacchetti, Stacey Pullen,
Seth Troxler, Butch, BBC1 Radio, Gel Abril, Brothers Vibe... and many more!

* TO CELEBRATE JAMAICA'S 50 YEARS OF INDEPENDANCE 1962-2012 We have put together a set of releases that cover the musical styles that reggae mutated into through it's history, SKA, ROCKSTEADY, ROOTS REGGAE, DUB, DJ STYLE &DANCEHALL.... So Listen Up! and enjoy!Welcome to the Dancehall Sound from Jamaica. The sound that grew out of the dances in Jamaica around the beginning ofthe 1980's.The musical style again slowed
the reggae beat down to give an uncluttered, sparce backdrop, allowing the singers and DJ's more space to express
themselves. Dancehall has never stopped but turned to a digital beat around the mid - 1980's. So Listen Up ! to some early Dancehall classics that set the style for the years that followed....
After a contribution to Ethereal Sound and a full-bloom debut EP on Mule Electronic earlier this year, "Running In Circles" takes the next step. Two power cuts that melt, espouse and mutate classicist Chicago school of design elements with the post-industrial take of the Live at Robert Johnson canon On a meta-level they even deal with such heavy stuff as reincarnation and the cycles of life and death. Oh, yes! How does that sound As sweet and threatening as a sugar skull, of course.
*Presenting a new collaboration featuring Oren Ambarchi on guitar, the electronics of Robin Fox, and both performing on various other instruments. The music on this album came about as the result of the two being asked to co-compose the soundtrack for a new production by renowned Australian contemporary dance company Chunky Move for their Connected production.
" Chunky Move's artistic director Gideon Obarzanek was drawn to the organic and deeply musical qualities of Ambarchi's work and the digital, almost scientic quality of Fox's sound. Over a process of many weeks these two aesthetics were merged. Working both in the Chunky Move studio and Head-gap studio in Melbourne, new works were forged from both digital and analog sources.
" This release brings together two of the most extraordinary artist/musicians working in Australia today. Both are renowned internationally for their individual practices, and here they join forces to produce powerful music that fuses Ambarchi's legendary guitar sound with Fox's mathematically rigorous tones and textures. This fusion results in sound works that stretch in scope from the sublime and spacious to the intensely dense and foreboding. Treading a precarious line between music and abstract sound, between organic and inorganic tones, this collaboration is a must listen for anyone interested in contemporary soundworks.

One of the most eagerly anticipated albums of 1968 by press and public, Cheap Thrills met every expectation and then some.
With the heartrending version of "Piece Of My Heart" and a definitive cover of Gershwin's "Summertime", the album (which consists of studio and live material) shot to the top of the charts and stayed there. The audio has been sourced from the original masters, and Robert Crumb's artwork (also known for creating Fritz the Cat and the iconic Keep On Truckin' comics) is meticulously recreated on this Music On Vinyl issue.
A truly classic album and an important part of Rock history, this album is 'a time capsule for one of rock's most distinguished singers.'

Welcome reisssue for monster soul-funk LP 'Disconnection', one of the most obscure and sought-after releases from top 70s disco label, Prelude. Ridiculously expensive and hard-to-find in the original, this album is stuffed full with killer tracks spanning warm, soulful disco, high-stepping groove and boogie-heavy funk all written and produced by Robert Holmes. Standouts include the jazzy free-style 'Dead On The Case', later reworked for the mysterious French Skyline project, cool jazz-funk groover 'Bay City', recently edited by none other than Balearic maestro Lexx, and the floor-friendly chunky funk workout 'Cash Money'. However no track is a filler on this superb album which fully deserves its 'holy grail' status with collectors. Essential!

Just in time for summer, Pampa issued Aimlessness, the long-awaited new album from Dntel AKA Los Angeles producer Jimmy Tamborello. His latest electronic suite brought forth stronger leanings toward house grooves, building upon the pop and IDM approaches he
explored earlier in his career as half of the Postal Service and a member of Figurine ñ with a healthy dose of Pampa otherworldliness on top.
