Spatial
17.07.2026

Enter the debut LP of the now Spatial regular Chronicle - Expect a joyous, varied blend of old school brand new atmospherics from one of the scene’s most talented producers. A1 - 20th Century Man Straight into the beats for the deliciously cheery opening, 20th Century Man encapsulates so much of what Chronicle does best - old school breakbeat sensibilities delivered with an inimitable atmospheric charm, strongly reminiscent of that peak Good Looking era we all adored. Incredible synthwork and analogue drums layered with danceable 2-step breaks and melodies take your mind exactly where you want to be. A2 - Terraformers Seminal synths and birdsong effects prepare us for an impossibly crisp breakbeat and 808 bassline to drive this track along, coloured by a myriad of subtle blips and bleeps, delicately flecked across a detailed and optimistic soundscape. Very DJ-friendly from the first to the final bar, the purity of Chronicle’s approach to atmospheric drum & bass is once again at its best here on Spatial. B1 - Boundless Space Playful twittering birds, gentle hi-hats and panning synths introduce Boundless Space, a blissful, serene treat for the senses which soon kicks into flourishing life with the timeless Circles break. Vocal samples punctuate the soothing breakdown with exquisitely programmed effects dotted here, there and everywhere, completing a stunning composition that both reflects on the past and looks forward in equal measure. B2 - Ephemeral Style A light, delicately calming pad-laden intro with echoing melodies opens Ephemeral style, soon punctuated by a sublime 808 bassline preceding the drop. Chronicle showcases his dancefloor breakbeat prowess with an energetic 2-step break pattern, expertly programmed and riddled with detail and density, creating a wonderful collage of sound and a perfect addition to any era-spanning atmospheric set. C1 - Modular Expansion Eerily reminiscent tones harking back to the golden, ultra-classic Good Looking era introduce us to Modular Expansion, a track which quickly adds layer upon layer of original identity to the vibe with crisp breaks, a wonderful metallic backdrop snare and subtle vocal samples. The joyously retrospective breakdown complements the energy of the track beautifully, capping off another gem for the record box. C2 - Limbic System Chronicle introduces Limbic System with swathes of swirling pads and synths, straddled with a subtle yet enigmatic melody carrying us through the drop, where we are treated to a lusciously constructed old school break pattern with a modern twist. Enter the breakdown and the keen ear will spot sampled quotes from Total Recall, which fit the vibe perfectly. “You went to Recall?” - yes, we sure did. And we enjoyed the trip! D1 - Non-Euclidian Continuing the blissful retrospective atmospheric tone of the album, Chronicle serves up Non-Euclidian which opens with a wonderfully synthy intro flecked with old school break samples and an earworm melody, before the onslaught of layered breaks provides variety as well as a thoroughly danceable pattern to unleash on the discerning dancefloor. Trademark dotted effects punctuate the track throughout. D2 - Deep Thought Capping off the LP we have Deep Thought, setting a calming and quietly brooding vibe before impossibly crisp beats kick in and elevate proceedings nicely. Chronicle effortlessly leads the listener through the drop with an analogue punch, earthy basslines and fluttering effects with the kind of flair we’ve come to love from such a vastly experienced and talented producer - perfectly complementing the vibe here at Spatial. Rameff, Heffy, Bull & Jems - MoBlack presents COLORS OF INDIA

A label compilation can be the first sign of a new cycle. After years shaped by individual trajectories, it brings the focus back to what made scenes powerful in the first place: shared language, mutual influence and a sense of collective movement.

For a label built on deep rhythm, organic textures and emotional drive, this carries an even stronger meaning. These musical spaces hold connection, memory and exchange at their core.
In this light, a compilation becomes more than a format: it becomes a statement of identity, a meeting point where different voices contribute to one evolving vision.
Following the previous chapters, “MoBlack presents: COLORS OF INDIA” marks the third instalment in the series. Built around hypnotic percussion, evocative vocals and textures inspired by Indian tradition, the collection moves between organic groove and club energy while maintaining a strong sense of atmosphere.

Rameff – “Ferena” opens the collection with rolling percussion and warm melodic details, establishing a hypnotic atmosphere that naturally sets the foundation for what follows. From there, Bull&Jems – “Asha” brings a brighter sense of movement, introducing expressive vocal textures and rhythmic lift while keeping the groove connected to the same organic pulse. The mood then becomes more immersive with Rameff – “Bondhu”, where repetition and subtle melodic shifts create a steady build in tension without breaking the flow of the journey. Closing the selection, Hefty (CA) – “Taka Dum” injects a more playful rhythmic energy, tying everything together through percussion-led movement and a vibrant late-night spirit.

With “COLORS OF INDIA”, MoBlack adds a new chapter to its compilation series, bringing together cultural references and club-driven energy through a shared rhythmic language. The result is a collection where tradition and contemporary interpretation meet naturally on the dancefloor.

Riviera Records
17.07.2026

Riviera Records is a brand new label that kicks off with ‘Move’ - a statement of intent from founder X-Coast. Continuing to perform across the USA, Canada, Europe and Asia, X-Coast is an unconventional character and little is known about the mysterious Serbian other than the concept for the alias is that it exists “somewhere in the deep blue Caribbean Sea, between your imagination and what’s real.” Having released on labels like Hot Haus, Lost Palms and Steel City Dance Discs, X-Coast now launches Riviera Records with a promise to be an uncompromising clash of sounds” and the label stays true to that from the get-go.
There is no mucking about here as X-Coasts demonstrates his versatility as a producer with three varying mixes of ‘Move’ making up the bulk of the package. First up is the Trans Mix: an arms-in-the-air, throwback trance track with euphoric vocal stabs all primed to inject real energy into any set. House Mix then bounces and bumps with a refracted garage vox and endless old school dynamism, before the twisting and turning Breaks Mix follows with its thumping drums, hits and rattling dub sounds that all explode to life. Finally, ‘Naos’ totally flips the script with a slow, deep, cosmic workout build on a rugged bassline. A breathy voice, warm chords and balmy pads all wash over you like a Balearic breeze and take you to hedonistic dance floor somewhere in 80s Ibiza.

Hot Chip - One Life Stand LP 2x12"

2

Review: By the time London outfit Hot Chip arrived at their fourth album, they were no longer the scrappy synth-pop outsiders who had emerged at the start of the 2000s. A decade of touring, a growing list of collaborations and the realities of adult life had inevitably seeped into their songwriting. 'Thieves In The Night' and 'Hand Me Down Your Love' introduce a more reflective tone, while 'I Feel Better' remains one of the band's great pop moments, all euphoric hooks and emotional release. Elsewhere, the title track finds romance in everyday commitment, 'Brothers' and 'Slush' explore murkier territory, and 'Take It In' provides a fittingly warm conclusion. A pivotal chapter in Hot Chip's evolution.

Baba Stiltz - Relief 7"

Baba Stiltz continues to showcase his songwriting capabilities with Relief.
Backed by Ilari Larjosto on drums, Relief sees Stiltz delving deeper into the slacker-country territory explored on his last album, Paid Testimony, though here the sound is more refifined and hi-fifi. The track hints at the indie apathy of decades past while maintaining a distinctly contemporary sensibility.
A dubby yet fractured-sounding bassline and sparse three- chord verse structure intertwine with Theo Stocks’ beautiful lap steel arrangement, while Larjosto’s steady, Moe Tucker- esque drumming keeps the song moving forward.
Lyrically, Stiltz navigates pop songwriting tropes with restraint and precision. The repeated refrain of “congratulations” feels both strung-out and melodic, while fragmented, Garielle Lutz- like imagery — “tick tock, wrist watch, clif bar, trunk car, its cargo” — quietly sets the scene. Somehow, the juxtaposition resolves elegantly.
When asked about the theme of the song, Stiltz simply responded: “There is relief in acceptance.”
With Relief, Stiltz offers another compelling glimpse into his evolving songwriting practice, and perhaps an indication of what is still to come. The release follows a prolifific start
to the year for Stiltz, including Blurb 2 with Okay Kaya, co- production, writing and mixing work on Ana Roxanne’s Poem 1, and co-production and mixing on the SY3 EP for Music From Memory.

Rene Wise - Moving Pressure 03

2026 Repress

Moving Pressure 03 lands as Rene Wise's third release on his imprint. With a refined approach to rhythm and restraint, the artist once again distills techno to its purest form: hypnotic, percussive, and propulsive. Across four tracks and in line with the label's essence, MP03 thrives on movement-low-end mastery meets tightly coiled grooves, while textural elements shift and evolve with subtle precision.
A1 'Relax' sets the foundation with a mighty sub-base, rolling forward with effortless force. Chopped-up claps ricochet through the mix, while a funky, disembodied vocal repeats a single command: "relax". Then comes 'Chomp Chomp', a denser offering in Wise's sensorial arsenal. Layered with gritty textures, his signature percussion builds a soundscape that is both tactile and weightless, evoking a kinetic dream state where groove and space are in constant conversation. On the flip, 'Cave' plunges into murkier terrain. Swathed in fog and sinister atmospherics, it unfolds through an eerie blend of sci-fi surrealism and grounded physicality. Bleeps hover like distant signals, their sharpness softened by a cavernous, smothering embrace. It's a study in tension-hypnotic and unsettling in equal measure. Closing the release is 'Deep Under', a track that embodies its name with subterranean mystique. The soundscape is rich with detail, an ecosystem of sonic fragments shifting beneath the surface. It's immersive yet elusive, like catching glimpses of something just out of reach-a mirage that flickers between the tangible and the ethereal.
This is minimalism with intent, built for deep immersion. Less, here, is infinitely more.

The A-side cruiser '4 Hours Away From Southside' sets a smooth tone with gentle chords awakening your soul then '9 Hours Landing' has a jumbled percussive element and heavy, almost beatdown kicks. 'Lake Shore Drive' glides into candlelit late-night territory with dusty drums and frayed analogue edges that get reworked by Ge-Ology into something more busy and futuristic.

Pub - Do You Ever Regret Pantomime?

Twenty years ago, somewhere in Scotland, an album that was the missing link between The Black Dog, Chain Reaction and Irdial was released by an enigmatic Glasgow producer called Pub, on his equally mysterious label Ampoule.

The album ‘Do You Ever Regret Pantomime?’ (2000) has become the stuff of local folklore, a key work in the UK’s rich history of IDM and ambient, and one of the most celebrated albums of the early noughties. Bizarrely, it even infiltrated the Billboard Top 100.

‘Do You Ever Regret Pantomime?’ is also very much a key statement from a producer who has chosen to stay in their own space, where everyone is welcome. Records like these are about losing yourself in the sound and creating your own universe to explore.

Over the record's 70 minutes or so you’re instantly wrapped in a deep matrix of spacious chords, abstract textures and gently shifting rhythms.

The 2020 reissue has been re-mastered and cut at Berlin’s Dubplates & Mastering, pressed as a 2x12” and features new artwork and a bonus track.

This release also heralds the return of Ampoule, the Glasgow label which released music from the likes of Lucky & Easy, Omens Jot and Moped Endo among others. Forthcoming releases will be a mixture of new music and re-issues from the archives.

Crosstown Rebels
15.07.2026

KinAhau returns to Crosstown Rebels with his introspective three-tracker, ‘Cicek’ EP.

Out on 3rd July 2026, the young producer delivers a deeply personal excursion, featuring Mahmut Orhan, exploring themes of identity, independence, and creative freedom.

Few artists have arrived on the electronic scene quite like KinAhau. First entering the spotlight through a chance encounter that led to his breakout collaboration with Solid Grooves founder Michael Bibi, the exciting DJ/producer quickly found himself moving through some of the world's most respected clubs and festivals. Yet while early attention centred on an unlikely origin story, the years since have revealed a more nuanced artistic voice, one increasingly focused on reflection rather than reaction, and expression rather than expectation. That perspective sits at the heart of his return to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels imprint as he lands on the label with his latest EP, ‘Cicek’.

Opening title track ‘Cicek’, created alongside Mahmut Orhan, unfolds through emotive melodies, organic textures, and a sense of quiet tension that feels deliberately removed from conventional club formulas. It's a record that prioritises atmosphere and feeling over immediacy, setting the tone for the wider release.

Across the EP, that idea takes different forms, shapes and directions. ‘Plane Jane leans’ is a stripped-back, hazy journey through vibrant keys and woozy textures, while ‘Danza De La Pau’ flips the script and tunnels into trippy, ping-pong synths, cascading tones and off -kilter pockets of sound. Together, the three tracks feel less like individual records and more like snapshots from a broader creative conversation, one shaped by a growing distance from formula and a desire to explore something more personal and unique.

LONE ROMANTIC

Egyptian-born, Barcelona-based Raxon makes his Lone Romantic debut with a two-tracker that sees him step decisively into breakbeat territory.

A DJ for over 20 years, Raxon's journey through sound took him from the late 90s rock, hip-hop and trance of his early teens through to the Barcelona scene where he began releasing music with some of the most respected labels in dance music — Kompakt, Ellum, Cocoon and Turbo Recordings among them.

Heads will move on 'Vision Mission' - low-slung and deliberate with gated breaks cut sharp into a two-step swing that carries a distinctly UK sensibility, and underpinned by a gritty, warping bassline and a twisted vocal coiling through like a live wire.

'Wrong Song' shifts the weight forward into physical, modern drum and bass terrain. A deep and relentless, undulating bassline drives the momentum while mechanical stabs and a grinding mid-range give the track its industrial edge.

Lauren Martin - Aftershock: The Seismic Impact of Dubstep (BOOK)

At the cusp of a new millennium, British electronic music was rapidly changing. Jungle and garage had broken into the mainstream, but were running out of creative gas – what fresh movement would next captivate the underground? On the outer edges of London, a small group of bass lovers had the answer. Through a new strain of subloaded beats that stripped jungle, rave, techno and garage for parts, this scene returned to the dub roots, prizing the fundamentals of soundsystem culture: bass, space and togetherness. They called it dubstep.

In Aftershock: The Seismic Impact of Dubstep, seasoned music writer Lauren Martin charts the origins of one of the 21st century’s most innovative music genres in an oral history format. Through the testimonies of its architects and an immersive array of photography, flyers and unseen scene history, Aftershock chronicles the rise of artists like Skream, Mala, Coki, Loefah, Horsepower Productions and Rusko, as well as labels and parties such as Hyperdub, Tempa, DMZ, FWD>> and Skull Disco.

Together, this movement shook the British underground, exploded onto the internet and, within a decade, had rocked global music at unprecedented scale. Through first-hand storytelling, Aftershock is a testament to how the imagination and persistence of a few can transform culture.

Quotes
“Written via interviews with 28 leading scene figures from London and beyond, Lauren Martin’s oral history of dubstep is a landmark document of British club culture. This heavy, asymmetric music, informed by Jamaican soundsystem culture, garage, grime, breaks and more, could only have mutated in the UK, and Martin’s cast of characters take you back to the Croydon record shops, Shoreditch clubs and online forums where it came together. Amid funny tales of infighting and the inside stories of classic tracks, the artists’ pluck and passion are what shine through brightest, and make this such an inspirational read.” – Ben Beaumont-Thomas, Editor at Guardian Music

Winspear
15.07.2026

Wave Interaction is the precursor to a forthcoming album that will lay out a purposeful study of the interaction between machine-made sound waves and human perception, inspired by the teachings of early electronic music pioneer Daphne Oram. As an opening statement, 'Cele' maximises on a patient, spacious arrangement that allows the carefully sculpted layers of waveforms to resonate with minimal distractions. Far from minimal, it's a dense and evocative sound world Watters builds up. 'Excitation' brings more detailed percussive sequencing into the mix, teasing pin-prick snatches of breakbeats and designer ripples that dart around the psychoactive tonal elements in the mix. 'Intermodulaton I' opens the second half of Wave Interaction on a crisp, stepping beat more than ready for the club. As ever, functionality is only one part of the picture as further uncanny sheets of ambiguously tuned synth work unfurl across the austere framework. 'Shifting Formants' has a knottier, tunnelling quality that joins the dots with techno hypnotism, made all the more immersive by the harmonic overtones radiating off the vibrant lead lines that give the track its distinctive character. Guided by a clear intention and a finely honed studio practice, the return of Sciama hails an impactful addition to his considerable catalogue and tees up further compelling exploration on the impending long player.

GIORGIO GIGLI & OBTANE - GIORGIO GIGLI & OBTANE 10x12" BOXSET

28

Deep techno, sometimes nostalgic and melancholic: that what Zooloft Records is. Giorgio Gigli and Francesco Baudazzi (Obtane), balancing soul and body, give birth to intense storytelling through sound, enhanced by an intimate reflection about childhood innocence.

Introspection is driven by a vein of subtle and rarefied nihilism, pervaded in each release. Project's graphics evoke the idea of abstract thoughts written on blank paper, where shadows meet memories.

Future, maybe, is the memory of a beautiful past. So, we are here, today, and proud to present you a special, collector-item vinyl boxset, limited to 100 pieces only, handsigned and remastered, containing the full Zooloft discography.

Dave N.A. - Echoes EP

Dave N.A.

Echoes EP

12inchNOID004

Release unknown

The Armenian electronic underground has been quietly brewing something visceral. After years navigating the labyrinth of electronic production from his Yerevan studio, Dave N.A. strips away the excess to reveal six raw, uncompromising cuts that pulse with quiet intensity. Not the manufactured urgency of algorithmic dance floors, but the honest tension of someone who’s spent years refining his craft while the scene evolved around him.

Following his debut ‘Altura EP’ on no•id, where collaborations with freq444 showcased his ability to merge Armenia’s electronic scene with Brussels’ underground pulse, Dave N.A. returns with ‘Echoes EP’ after the label’s necessary creative hibernation. This isn’t about comebacks or grand statements. It’s about persistence. About the kind of restless creativity that emerges when you’ve been grinding in relative obscurity, releasing on labels like Uppers and Downers, Typeless, and Elicit Records, slowly building a sound that refuses easy categorization.

The EP opens hard and unexpectedly with “BLINK,” delivering a throat-cutting and all-consuming bassline. “ECHOES” builds around atmospheric sounds and percussive elements, driven by a straightforward yet effective drum sequence. “SHADO” ventures into darker and faster territory with sparse drum programming and heavy sub-bass emphasis. Both “RUSH” and “ORB” unleash torrents of unrelenting breaks, each percussive hit landing with surgical precision as sub-bass currents pull everything forward into hypnotic repetition. “HUNTER” closes the journey, stalking into frame with predatory low-end and razor-sharp hi-hats slicing through dense atmospheric fog.

The no•id ship continues to chart its course through Brussels’ underground, prioritizing artists who value craft over hype. With Dave N.A.’s return, the label reinforces its commitment to electronic music that functions on multiple levels: cerebral yet visceral, local yet universal.
