Mireia Records is exstatic to welcome back Johannes Klingebiel . Johannes has steadily carved a niche for himself with his distinct brand of emotive, yet playful house music. Coming out strongly with his debut 'Latewood' in 2015 and following up with the poignant 'Nightlife' on Mireia Records in 2017. Now he's continuing his knack for contemplative, melodic and danceable music on 'It's OK To Cry'. Opener 'It's OK To Cry' is as tender as you would imagine. It is brilliantly doleful, with thoughtful keys and deep, lo fi drums all tugging at the heart strings. The foolproof 'Piano Thang' again shows off Klingebiel's musical credentials with nimble keys glistening over a more uplifting drum line as cosmic synths elevate your spirits. Kicking off the B-side is the superb 'Really' which journeys back into an insular reverie, with pained synth sounds and a sense of longing pervading the deep house atmospheres and masterfully arranged keys. Next up we have 'Time Is Now' , a slow burning but subtly euphoric number that raises you up on percolating bass and glistening, deep space keys. The package completes with more deep excellence in the form of 'Steel Away' , with meandering pads encouraging your mind to drift as cavernous kicks create a warm and welcoming environment in which to get lost. Inspirited by the music, labelheads RSS Disco set out to find a striking visual reflection of this release. The vinyl is housed in thick inside-out cardboard with hand stamped labels and features an inlay card (surprise).

Part of the Young Echo crew, Ossia embodies the best tradition of Bristol underground music in that he doesn't pay much mind to tradition, just does his own thing. Yes, Devil's Dance shares DNA with those sullen masterpieces we will always associate with the city, from blunted 90s street-soul/hip-hop to sub-loaded dubstep - but like his forebears Ossia is ultimately a mongrel breed, drawing from his own, very contemporary and idiosyncratic well of influences: grime, jazz, steppers, dub, post-punk and industrial abrasion, concrète minimalism... Devil's Dance could easily be not just a forbidding, but a suffocating proposition. But even at its most angst-ridden it feels lithe and aerodynamic, its darker impulses both intensified, and offset, by a pure soundboy's delight in detail and colour and higher dancefloor mechanics. The music pulses with energy, a fever to communicate...and Raki Singh (violin), Jasmine (vocals) and Ollie Moore (saxophone) add vivid flesh-tone to the punishing, plasmic electronics. The record was mixed at an infamous, subterranean Bristolian recording studio, using an arsenal of spring and plate reverbs, modded pedals, tape-delays and compressors: systems of black magic crucial to the album's intense presence and physicality and carefully modulated dread. In the end what we are witnessing, and experiencing vicariously, is a purging, an exorcism: find the devil, dance with the devil... and then chase, chase, chase him out of the earth

The second release on ninih is a package of personal stories by Amsterdam's Eversines, truly captivating the sounds of the ninih label. He masterfully crafts densely layered and brooding soundscapes throughout the EP, appealing to heady listeners and vibing dancefloors alike. Transmissions of deep, swirling, cosmic synths coexist with ominous haunting echoes while warped chords slip in and out of focus. Weaponized experimental electronics blast off in a flurry of hard hitting kicks like a spaceship speeding through a sonic asteroid field before throttling back to an ethereal pace.

Exchange in a diverse community is key to our spirit. HVMBLE aims at staying versatile. HVMBLE'S debut-EP series 'Textures' features an eclectic practice where diverse elements of dance music are teamed playfully. Hypnotizing groove structures, vibrant Hi- Hats and a sublty-formed Bottom-End unite and stimulate the bodymind. Textures invites the listener/dancer to float through skillfully meshed patterns and dreamy layers, to experience promising new spaces. The sounds appearance and cover-artwork was created by visual artist Peter Aurisch. Textures is a collective creation.

Tourist Kid's first release for Melody As Truth. Recorded in Perth and Melbourne between 2016 and 2017. Though the idea of movement between two places could be a somewhat romantic afterthought, a more palpable sense of dislocated unease creeps up on the listener throughout the album.

On "Discourse II", stutters of digital trash segue seamlessly into a plateau of serene, glassy ambience - and on "Bacterial", the hiss and sting of rehashed foley seems to dance around a plaintive, oh-so delicate piano solo. These striking contrasts are deftly managed, playing upon notions of digital noise and ambient, while never feeling weighed down by the limits of reference or gesture. Indeed, numerous touchstones to Tourist Kid's earlier work - and to that of contemporaries - are synthesised and expanded upon to great detail and atmosphere. "Crude Tracer" sits in its own adeptly nuanced and assured space.

Tourist Kid's production encompasses all manner of tangible and otherworldly sounds as a vehicle to explore something far more intriguing than a simple instrumental fetish - so much so that the
overwhelming sting of blasted detritus or a broken and bent vocal is capable of eliciting such delicate impulses as glistening, heart-wrenching piano chords. It's a unique - and very special - kind of beauty that Tourist Kid gracefully achieves with "Crude Tracer'.

The name Jaxx Madicine suggests a wide range of influences - 'Jaxx' obviously being a tilt of the hat to the original rhythms and basslines born out of Chicago house while the 'XX"s suggest a keen passion for jazz.These are the two main ingredients used by the projects founders Turbojazz and Parker Madicine, who are joined by the talented and mysterious Veez_0 - a young Italian piano player that you're bound to hear more from in the near future.Turbojazz plants his roots in the rhythms and futuristic sounds of the Broken Beat golden age while Parker Madicine leans more towards the sounds and timbres of Detroit's spacey atmospheres. These two musical worlds are married by Veez_o's incredible playing and harmonic backing. To get a proper idea of what this is about you should consider George Duke in his peak cosmic period jamming in a studio with 'High Tech Jazz"-era Underground Resistance before joining Pete Rock for dinner and then heading to a Roy Ayers concert. After their highly acclaimed debut album »Decadent yet Depraved«, Berlin and LA-based producers Belief Defect invited a variety of artists to join their »Remixed« project. The following 12' EP is a first four-track release of this project. The original tracks of the album are only an approximate starting point for »Remixed«. In contrast to »Decadent yet Depraved«, largely conceived in song structures, this EP is about transferring the pieces back into abstract space, and each remixer does it in his very own way. Alessandro Cortini's one-take live recording is a lesson in classical ambient music. Telefon Tel Aviv's remix is timelessly modern and extremely delicate sound design. Rather opposite concepts are coming from Surachai's brutal pattern design and Kangding Ray's expressive and analogously saturated repetitions for the dance floor.

Born Marian Himburg, Causa has been on the rise for several years now, with a tight and impressive discography on labels including Crucial Recordings, Infernal Sounds, and J:Kenzo's Artikal Music UK. Known for carefully focused cuts that marry dub sensibilities with dubstep weight, his debut for ZamZam is exactly what you'd hope: heavy 140 wares for deep dances.

'Space Dub' is an orbiting station of decaying delays and insistent bleeps that resolve into an absolutely massive riddim that causes pure murderation on the floor. Machine sounds and lasers spar over dread, lurching bass, while thick snares cut through the reverb haze to reveal the cold, starry cosmos beyond.
'Concrete Dub' works with a similarly industrial sound palette in the service of a minimalist, skanking steppers that drives hard into the heart of sound system. Disembodied voices, growling-deep horn stabs, a single piercing flute note, and a myriad of other sonic signifiers emerge and retreat, as if being pulled under by the unrelenting force of the primordial sub & kick attack. Funnuvojere is the new imprint founded by Massimiliano Pagliara. Now marking his third album release, after countless remixes and EPs, the Panorama Bar resident widens the horizon of his musical contributions by launching a label "deep as the ocean" as the name suggests, and open to different musical genres. The first instalment comes from James Booth. Known also as The Gardener and North Vest, the Manchester born producer has been known for his distinctive deep sound very dear to Los Angeles based imprint 100% Silk and Hamburg's Growing Bin Records that released his latest LP in 2017. "Bath Time" is a thrillingly deep-cosmic cut rich in melodies and emotions. The EP starts off with a spaced-out, italo classic cut where form assumes a different dimension as the music layers intertwine in an everlasting flow. If the title track seems ironically like a perfect place to start a party night, "Roller Chrome" is an emotional ballad for hopeful dance floors; while "Such Is Life" is a nostalgic piece of balearic tradition.

Alter follow on from the bilingual dark ambient theatricals of Liberez with this four track EP from veteran Hamburg producer Christoph De Babalon.

As an affiliate of Digital Hardcore, Fat Cat and the recently founded V I S, CDB has tirelessly explored the intersections of breakcore, illbient and drum and bass. His work is at once uncompromising yet stylish - broken, punishing rhythms collide with dreary, doom-laden melodies and those eerie in-between spaces of vintage Unit Moebius or Deutsch Nepal. With Hectic Shakes he delivers a meditation on the 'inner abyss', the sort of abyss that lulls the listener into his sound world with next to no resistance.

'Shakes and Shivers' fixates itself on deceptively playful grooves with eerie, nightbus-to-nowhere atmospherics whilst opening cut 'Harakiri' manages to distort familiar jungle tropes into something even die hard devotees of the sound will find fresh. The EP closes with what we can only describe as a homage to 90s ambient techno in a ruff, post-hardcore fashion. Skittering drums weave in and out of longing, futurist synth lines and enough breakdowns to satisfy the dance floor.

DGTL Records hits close to home with their latest release 'Dancing Glass Figures' by De Sluwe Vos. The dj/producer has been affiliated with DGTL since the beginning, as he played at numerous of their festivals from day one. So it was only a matter of time for De Sluwe Vos to release his music on DGTL's label. With Dancing Glass Figures he delivers a strong 4-tracker that is truly hard to resist. De Sluwe Vos has been making waves lately, not only with his steady sets but also with his own label Patron Records, which has seen a string of well-supported releases since its launch. Never Know, the first track of the EP, takes no prisoners, as this straight-up banger with the hard-hitting synth line keeps you captivated throughout the entire track. The repetitive vocoder vocals give the track a spacey touch, especially during the break. De Sluwe Vos teamed-up with fellow Amsterdammer Sjamsoedin, who's known for his exceptional synth knowledge and hard-hitting live-sets. Together they produced a strong lead track that you will definitely get to hear a lot on the dance floor.

Fast rolling drums and a dreamy warm synth lure you into the title track Dancing Glass Figures. But don't get too comfortable, halfway into the track you will get a sturdy surprise, which only makes the track more interesting, while taking you back to where it all started at the end of it all.

Moving on to the B-side. Sophisticated Topless Raver is mesmerizing, with an intriguing and hypnotizing melody that comes and goes throughout the track. Bringing in some hard claps and an eerie laughing vocal, this track for sure is one for the later hours.

Bambounou has the honour to close-off the EP with a remix of Sophisticated Topless Raver. The French dj/producer, who's been on everybody's radar this past year, slowed down the original version and added a sleazy bassline, synth stabs and extra percussion, while keeping the melody and the vocal. Making the track just as enticing as De Sluwe Vos' version.

Layton Giordani steps up for his first solo EP of 2018. In terms of pedigrees, it doesn't get finer than Layton Giordani.

The Brooklyn-born DJ/producer followed up his lauded debut album of 2017, with a collaboration with Danny Tenaglia to close out the year and marked the summer of 2018 with a three-way collaboration with Adam Beyer and Green Velvet, 'Space Date'.
The period has been a big one for Layton personally, also. From humble beginnings in his native NYC as an Output resident, to being thrust into the bustle of the European club and festival circuit, he's enjoyed a stint living in Amsterdam, growing and developing over this time. All these experiences have had a fundamental influence on him and his music.

The four-track EP 'Phase II' represents a new chapter for this exciting talent. Beginning with 'New York to Amsterdam', a track that draws inspiration from the Yves Deruyter's classic 'Back To Earth', Layton's work packs a memorable punch as tough acidic undertones and brain scrambling synth effects undulate raising the intensity, making it a perfect opener for Adam Beyer when he played Berghain earlier this year. Following this, 'Enter the Stratosphere' is steely electro-tinged techno paired with atmospheric licks of melody, awhile maintaining the artist's trademark low-end chug. On the B side, 'Body Language' follows, a track written when Layton was scrubbed out of touring for a month courtesy of a shattered elbow from a skating accident. Not wasting the downtime, he's crafted a cut that's sleek, sexy and smart, with a seductive vocal and rousing melodic riff that runs throughout. Closing out the EP, 'Black Mirror', stays true to its dystopic name, a stomping rave cut that pummels dancefloors with a menacing lead synth that's purpose built for the cold months ahead. A classy conclusion to an EP from one of techno's brightest talents.

B Side swerves left and then some. Good Morning drifts along effortlessly, buoyant with minimal
garage swing and touched ever so slightly by late 90's french deep house-isms (surely destined
to soundtrack many sunrise sets for the next while). Eclipse then consummates this extended
affair with a nod to the hardcore continuum through a ruff'n'rugged jungle number, dashed with
Mooney's signature dreamscapes.
