Ron Trent feat. Angel Figueroa & Pablo Color - Electric Jungle
SACREDMEDICINE005_PINK
Sacred Medicine
12inchRelease unknown

HouseDeepChicago

Another standout chapter in the Sacred Medicine catalogue, this latest release sees Ron Trent at the helm once again. This time featuring master percussionist Angel Figueroa (Herbie Hancock “This is the Drum” ) and multi versed guitarist Pablo Color.

The track unfolds through layered rhythms and melodies that feel light yet deeply pulsating, carrying both elegance and intensity. Its rich, evolving arrangement balances a strong percussive drive with a sense of space and musicality, revealing new details with every listen.

On the flipside, a more acoustic “Suite” version offers an alternate perspective, highlighting the composition’s organic textures and depth. A record that speaks to both dancers and attentive listeners alike, and another meaningful addition to the ever-consistent Sacred Medicine catalogue.

LIMITED 300 ONLY CRYSTAL CLEAR VINYL WITH PURPLE BLOB AND BLACK SPLATTER. HOUSED IN FULL COLOUR MATT SLEEVE WITH POLYLINED INNER BAG AND DOWNLOAD CODE. NON-RETURNABLE.
Following his two sold out releases ‘Vertigo’ & ‘Water Music’ on Riot Season last year, the ever prolific Ivan The Tolerable returns with ‘An Orphan Form’
A beautifully strange and immersive suite that feels both otherworldly and rooted in something organic. Drawing on kosmische drift, loose-limbed jazz, and warped psychedelic textures, the record moves like a half-remembered dream.
Field recordings and nature sounds weave in and out, grounding the swirling synths and off-kilter rhythms in real earth and air. It's a record that doesn’t follow a straight line, but instead wanders, curious, alive, and quietly spellbinding.
Recorded in winter 2024 in Middlesbrough, UK and Utrecht, Netherlands

Second release on Marco Shuttle's MSP solo label. This time it's a 2-tracker reminiscent of his earlier works (Sing Like A Bird or even The Vox Attitude), so a more 4/4 slower approach than his latest releases. The tracks were inspired by deep/tribal 90's progressive house that he heard playing in clubs in the North of Italy (where the producer is from) in those days. These are very versatile tracks that would easily fit in both techno and (deep psychedelic) house territory. 12 inch EP + Insert

Tokyo's Realrockdesign collective marks a full 30 years of cross-disciplinary creativity with the first of a planned trilogy. The A-side hands over a crown jewel from West Coast legend DJ Garth's Grayhound catalogue in 'Twenty Minutes Of Disco Glory', which gets remixed by DJ Harvey with a slow, deep, dark and come-to-me groove with a fizzy motif lingering like a trapped bee. The flip turns to German veteran Nectar, who is enjoying some deserved time back in the spotlight and shows why here: 'Fairy Trails' is a deliciously psychedelic descent into the underworld that perfectly befits its title. 'What Tha?' is paranoid and unsure with a writhing bassline, detuned synths bringing a freaky edge and a dubby, shuffling groove that is as inviting as the rest of the track is wonderfully weird.

Brouqade returns with a heavyweight contribution from one of Mexico’s finest: Sakro takes the helm, delivering a 12" that strikes the perfect balance between hypnotic depth and peak-time functionality. After months of building anticipation on dancefloors worldwide, becoming a secret weapon, these four tracks have finally found their way onto wax.

This EP is a masterclass in rhythmic tension and psychedelic storytelling. Sakro places the groove unapologetically at the forefront. The listener is submerged in a dense atmosphere defined by:
Rolling Basslines & Trippy Textures

Across the four tracks, Sakro explores the intersection of raw house energy and sound design. The nuances whether modular bleeps or unexpected percussive shifts, intensify the groove rather than distracting from it. It’s this specific blend of sophistication and grit that has already caused a stir in some Sets.

The dub version is even more adrift in an ocean of warming rhythmic swells. 'L'Amour Fou' brings a little more bounce and some cosmic synth arpeggios that are gently loopy and constantly evolving. By 2005, Drugsex Recordings had firmly established its own identity within the Tech House scene, providing a platform for deeper, sounds for the heads and also could further push the peak-time cuts for the era. For the label's fourth release, founder Rob Pearson teamed up with Chris Pascoe. Pascoe’s distinctive style had already earned him recognition through a string of acclaimed underground releases and Rob & Chris kept meeting through the underground party scene so friendship and collaboration were a natural step.

The collaboration resulted in One More Time, a beautifully balanced meeting of two production styles. Combining Pearson's trademark rolling grooves with Pascoe's musicality and deep, understated funk, the track perfectly captures the stripped-back sound that defined the best of mid-2000s UK Tech House.

On the flip, Rob Pearson takes centre stage with the solo production Shadow Maker. Deep, hypnotic and effortlessly understated, the track showcases the signature South London sound that became synonymous with both Evasive and Drugsex Recordings—tight percussion, warm analogue textures and an irresistible groove built for long nights on discerning dancefloors.

Hip-HopFunkPopJazzWorld Music

What Soul Media, led by Jiro Inagaki, ultimately arrived at was a tight, cool, and ultimate groove.

As Inagaki himself has stated that he “played black funk” on this album, the explosive jazz-rock foundation he had cultivated up to that point is fused with the stickiness, elasticity, and physicality of black music—elevating his musical vision to an entirely new dimension. Combined with the masterful arrangements of Hiromasa Suzuki, the groove is polished to a high sheen, growing richer, more fluid, and subtly seductive.

Every track stands out: the vibrant, driving energy of “Painted Paradise”; the coexistence of funkiness and mellowness on “Breeze”; and the low-slung, razor-sharp cover of Kool & The Gang’s “Funky Stuff”.
Now regarded as a definitive classic, this album remains in constant demand from listeners around the world.

Following the start of their new residency at Panorama Bar, the label opens its catalogue with a strictly limited five-track EP recorded at Buenos Aires' legendary La Siesta del Fauno, bringing Dama's Berlin dancefloor sensibility together with the peculiar chemistry of one of the world's most extraordinary electronic music studios. Forged through extended jam sessions on an array of vintage analogue instruments, including the original Korg PS-3300, Moog modular and Yamaha CS-80, the spontaneity of the sessions translates directly into the finished tracks, where ideas mutate, collide and develop into unexpected forms. Switching gears between hypnotic, mechanical, groove-driven house, and stuttering, furious, off-kilter techno, Dama moves deep into more atmospheric territory, conjuring worlds that are at once lush, organic, paranoid and extraterrestrial. An analogue vision of a future past, built by machines that were already imagining it decades ago.

Under his Yakari alias, he explored a tear-jerking and trance-infused style that was about looking outward to distant worlds beyond our own. This EP is a classic example and was originally released in 1994 on Loop Records. 'Positive Transphere' is an absorbing opener with dirty bass offset by sprawling synths, 'The Sound Ordeal' gets darker and more involving emotionally, before 'Lotus Trance' explodes in bright colours and new age love. 'Water Of Tranquility' is a more deep, insular closer. An EP that has aged perfectly and will still turn heads 30 years on.

Back after its first release, Life Enigma returns for a second chapter: a dark and warped dispatch from the void.

This time, the London-based artist of many aliases Zuul takes the reins, exploring moodier territory at the low end of the frequency. The release is rounded off by a more dancefloor-oriented remix from C.ru.z on the B2.

On the A-side, My Mind Is Mean is a driving, sub-heavy opener with menacing synths that do the title justice. It's Hell In There, It's Horror shifts into something more melodic and upbeat, with eerie textures and an ominous undercurrent.

And when we thought things couldn’t get any meaner, Ask Me sinks into haunted, mid-tempo bass hypnosis on the flipside, while C.ru.z’s remix leans further into its darker side with an even nastier groove.

TechnoTechno

The Body Works begins from a simple idea: sound does not end at the speaker, and music is something that is not only heard, but held, felt, and carried. By translating sound into physical form, the project creates an encounter that exists between listening and touch.

Rhythm is anticipated by muscle, voices affect breathing, and repetition changes our sense of time. Listening is already a physical act. Rather than treating the body as a subject represented by the music, The Body Works treats it as the place where the music happens; the physical and perceptual space through which sound is experienced.

Primarily consisting of left-leaning club music, the LP moves between trap-tinged tech funk, sweaty nocturnal throb, bottom heavy breaks, seedy cowbell acid, pumping techno workouts, doting hi NRG, cosmic homoerotica, and electronic disco. Interspersed and laced atop are more exploratory approaches to sound. Synthesis, field recordings, voices, electroacoustic and musique concrete techniques, plus a dose of offbeat humour are all treated equally as compositional material.

The record travels through ordinary human actions and situations - partying, sleeping, travelling, cooking, flirting, drinking, dancing and listening. These are not presented simply as themes; they become compositional material through which sound, attention, movement and the body interact. "A lot of the record is just weird normal things happening around me. Sleeping, travelling, flirting, drinking water, trying to kill a fly. The more attention you give these things, the stranger they become", comments Bjarki.

HouseBreaksTechBeatsBreak-Beat

Paul Guido and Laron McNally, AKA Locomotive & Swan, conjured up ‘Way Out Here…’ in the living room of a tiny apartment in San Francisco in 2003. The duo were part of a bustling West Coast scene inspired by the pioneers that came before them, pushing the music into a more experimental direction. Their sound was a hybrid of looping tech-house with a freshly dubbed-out soul, soft-edged pumpers made with long sessions on the dance floor in mind.

The four versions of ‘Way Out Here…’ contain the same tripped-out samples and driving percussion, but with their own distinct attitude. The ‘Breakbeat Mix’ provides the most bone-rattling bassline of all time, balanced by the more restrained and stripped back ‘Bonus Breaks’. The ‘House Mix’ subtly plays with pressure and release, while ‘Posse Up’ goes full throttle lift-off.

With this four tracker all bases are covered - each track is suited to different moments across a night’s arc from warm up, to peak time, to after hours. This EP is a testament to the grooves and groovers of the time, reflecting an era of music that informed much of what we cherish today. The shimmy is strong with this one, and we are happy to give it another lap.

HouseTech

The relationship between Tech House legend Terry Francis and Sushitech has given birth to something truly special over recent years, reigniting a whole movement centred around the timeless, classic UK acid tech house born in late ’90s London. This signature sound laid the foundation for iconic venues like Fabric in their early days and went on to inspire the subgenres that followed.

Among Terry’s deep back catalogue are a rare few tracks that can truly be described as legendary, and ‘Free’ is undeniably one of those stone cold classics. Originally released in 2003, it is a soulful tech house masterpiece crafted by an artist with an intimate understanding of the movement and the unspoken bond between the DJ and dance floor during long nights. Driven by a relentless, infectious rhythm, an unmistakable bassline, and powerful vocals reminiscent of Massive Attack, it’s a track designed to create unforgettable moments on the floor, something those who know Terry’s legendary sets at Fabric understand all too well.

This special reissue also features two additional rare soulful tracks produced alongside Ricardo Afonso, who contributes his distinct, emotive vocals, as previously heard on cuts like ‘Change’ and ‘Rhythm Spirit’ from Terry’s last LP.

Remastered and pressed on heavy 180g vinyl to the highest audiophile standard, this release showcases soulful tech house at its abso

Electric Mud is the fifth studio album by Muddy Waters, with members of Rotary Connection serving as his backing band. Released in 1968, it imagines Muddy Waters as a psychedelic musician. Producer Marshall Chess suggested that Muddy Waters recorded it in an attempt to appeal to a rock audience. The album peaked at number 127 on Billboard 200 album chart. It was controversial for its fusion of electric blues with psychedelic elements.
