The first ever vinyl reissue of Troum's »Symbiosis« EP includes unreleased extra track.

The 5 tracks were recorded from May 2000 – August 2002 and consisted of guitar-only solo pieces by both members. Forming a unity out of singularities, merging the contradictions, this first re-issue has an additional unreleased bonus track, a reworking of older material recorded with the same approach. Finalized in march 2023.

The original »Symbiosis« CDEP was released in January 2003 as a limited edition in a handmade 3D pyramid-box (200 copies) as Transgredient TR-02. An additional standard edition came in a stickered & handcoloured cardboard cover with obi.

Welcome back to Demon’s ‘Disco Discharge’ series, originally issued in a series of 2CD collections between 2009 and
2012. The themed compilations of full-length, extended Disco originals, lovingly curated by the mysterious “MrPinks”
and with detailed sleeve notes by author and Disco aficionado Alan Jones, have remained in-demand among collectors
and the club cognoscenti. This time around, the series kicks off with ‘Classic Disco’ and ‘Disco Fever USA’, both issued
in new-formatted 2CD Deluxe gatefold sleeves and, for the first time, as 2LP coloured 140-gram vinyl editions.
While Disco happened the whole world over, ‘Disco Fever USA’ cherry-picks 12 milestones hailing from its American
birthplace on 140g White vinyl. Alongside lesser-known cuts from the likes of Fern Kinney, Gloria Gaynor and Boys
Town Gang there’s also another wealth of treasures including a rare instrumental version of Earth, Wind & Fire’s
‘Boogie Wonderland’, the sublime ‘Like An Eagle’ by sometime gay porn actor Dennis Parker and Bionic Boogie’s ‘Risky
Changes’, a track you could say predicted Chicago House sound a full ten years before the fact.

Air Kraft Vision was a unique live act renowned during the late '90s and early '2000s for their live sets performed at the finest Tuscan clubs like Jaiss, Imperiale, Insomnia and the infamous open-air afterparty, The West.

The group was composed by Francesco Passantino, Davide Cali and Roberto Bonini (Robo). The peculiarity of AKV was to replicate the spontaneity of studio live sessions in clubs, bringing almost all their machines and hardwares on stage. The same attitude was reflected in their productions: one mixer, rough analog sounds and three minds perfectly synchronized with each other.

Formed in London in 1977 by Mark Perry and Alex Fergusson, then editors of the punk fanzine Sniffin' Glue, Alternative TV was a post-punk group known for incorporating reggae rhythms and pushing the boundaries of the definition of punk toward the experimental and avant-garde. Their first album, The Image Has Cracked, came out originally in 1978 and is a wholly unique piece of British post-punk. Beloved by John Peel, and close confidantes of Throbbing Gristle, Alternative TV is one of the most original and beguiling groups of the era.

Dignity Row release their debut album titled Postcards From The Heart in May 2024. Dignity Row are a Scottish group centered around the songwriting of Jamie Campbell, creating an eclectic cocktail of pop and soul with an 80s feel. The band take inspiration from classic Scottish acts like Deacon Blue, Love and Money and Del Amitri and earlier this year released single Not a Love Song with Bobby Bluebell and Ken McCluskey. This special debut is available to pre-order now on vinyl LP, CD and digital - the CD features an additional bonus track.

Nach einer erfolgreichen Reihe von fünf Studioalben und zwei Live-Alben, Psychedelic Backfire I und II (beide 2019), hatten Elephant9 ihre groovige Mischung aus energiegeladenem Rock und Power-Jazz so weit gebracht, wie sie konnten. In dieser Hinsicht war ihr letztes Album Arrival of The New Elders (2021) eine willkommene und sehr zeitgemäße Ergänzung ihres Schaffens. Abwechslungsreicher, reifer und nachdenklicher, groovig wie eh und je, aber strukturierter und weniger jamorientiert, was ihnen eine 9/10-Rezension in Uncut und einen Platz in der Liste der Alben des Jahres einbrachte, in der ihre telepathische Gemeinschaft hervorgehoben und mit "this is an Elephant9 you'll never forget" geschlossen wurde. Jazzwise, Shindig, Prog, Electronic Sound, The Quietus und einige andere stimmten dem zu. Mythical River ist auf die gleiche Art und Weise geformt und ein natürlicher Nachfolger, mit sechs herausragenden neuen Kompositionen von Keyboard-Maestro Ståle Storlokken, gerahmt durch zwei kurze kosmische Einwürfe. Von hypnotischen und magischen bis hin zu messerscharfen und polyrhythmischen Stücken ist dies ein weiteres starkes Werk eines Trios, das sich auf der Höhe seiner Zeit befindet. Es wurden Vergleiche mit Bands gezogen, die bis in die sechziger Jahre zurückreichen, aber mit den letzten Alben erscheinen Elephant9 als eine durch und durch zeitgenössische, zeitlose und sogar futuristisch klingende Band. Ståle begann seine musikalische Reise mit Vespestad und Henriksen, die sich bald zu Supersilent mit Helge Sten an Bord entwickelten. Stale is zudem Mitglied von Hedvig Mollestad Weejuns, Moster! und Humcrush und hat mit einer Reihe von weiteren Acts, vor allem mit Motorpsycho, zusammengearbeitet.

LA via Paris classically trained keyboard wizard DAVID ZYLBERMAN AKA GHOST from EGYPTIAN LOVER's spaced out synthfunk backing band follows up his sold out/out of print STAR CREATURE debut with another set of Contemporary Electronic Jazz Funk primed for peak hour dance floor action. After flipping bananas covers of LONNIE LISTON SMITH and ROY AYERS, he drops an original production that gives that same synth driven, rhythm forward dance vibe. The B Side takes us straight to deep space with an uptempo cracker of a remix of BRIAN BENNETT's ‘SOLSTICE” done in a zero-gravity flavor previously considered impossible. The promo copies have already seen major support from Chicago and NYC heavyweights.

Kicking off with a curveball - the frenetic footwork stylings of title track "You Don't", the squelchy schizophrenic action follows on with another 5 mid tempo distorted groovers from the acid superstar ROTR.

With his debut EP Mo Wrights delivers a jazz-focused and narrative-driven record navigating the inner dialogue of a creative struggle of inferiority, abstraction and commitment. The story finds him enlisting some friends along the way to advance from one act to the other.

With the title track - ‘things2proof’ - Mo tries to combine his myriad of influences in a 6-minute record that weaves together elements of jazz, broken beat, acid jazz, fusion, hip-hop and hints of rock. The coherence comes from his poignant narrative, which resembles a four-act structure, telling the story of alienation and his internal experience of inferiority, creative frustration, and his eventual recognition of a solution, concluding by finally permitting himself to simply ‘be’. And for that we thank him!

The b-side ‘proof of concept’ follows the title track, Mo embraces a more laid-back approach, sitting sonically closer to his beloved broken beat sound. Amsterdam-based pianist Misto Kay delivers a long soul-felt piano solo that carries the track into untold dimensions of groove. With this offering the soul feels both heard and yearned for. It’s as if desire and satisfaction are in conversation with one another. You can’t help but be gripped, pay attention, and listen.

As a co-founder of the Amsterdam-based music platform Steppin’ Into Tomorrow, whose ethos is anchored in the principle of collaboration and unification of the Dutch scene is a deeply felt sentiment throughout Mo’s EP. He enlists a slew of emergent local legends, such as QUANZA, drummer Jamie Peet, flutist Han Litz, bass player kotokid and pianist Misto Kay to embellish and remix his creation. The remixes also illuminate other bright creatives the local scene has to offer, with remixes by the likes of - Kofi the Unknown, LYMA, Misto Kay and Jazz n Dance.

Captivated by a musical residency in Benin, this time the band relocates to the Black Atlantic, with the agogo bell as their guide. Literally, because in "Mojo Picon", drum legend Stéphane Galland actually performs a solo on cowbell. A world's first. Together with singer Vanesa Diaz Gil, M.CHUZI travels from the Canarias to Cuba with an innovative cover of the Cuban mambo classic "Yiri Yiri Boum". Following in the footsteps of this iconic song, the Brussels gents finally cross back across the ocean in the danceable "Pepper Sauce", in which the heyday of Fela Kuti's afrobeat resonates with an irresistible guitar riff, a rippling bass, a rousing shuffle groove and punchy horns.

Belarusian producer Four Walls is back after a seven-year hiatus. The first time around he made some standout cuts for the likes of Traxx Underground and Kolour LTD but this time around he finds himself on the new Ultraworld Records imprint from DJ Craft. This one kicks off with the lush prog house and silky synth arps of 'Mind Charger' which soon takes you to the stars. 'Metamorphosis' is a more raw-edged and acid-laced techno stomper for peak time action and 'Summer Nights' is a bubbling, elastic tapestry of new age overtones, thudding kicks, and trance-tinged pads. A remix by Toronto-based Pletnev adds another dimension to this club-ready EP.

The prolific ambient producer Zake (Zach Frizzell) has his latest release out for out us to enjoy. B4 Plus 3 features seven compositions in all. Many of them are brilliantly done drone pieces that are expressive in beautifully done tones that rise and slide. The heavenly 'Braken' as the opener for example. The layered tones creatively mask the depth of the drones to the point of a spontaneous feel that is almost changed by anything as slight as a light wind. 'Betrayal' present bells that ring out from the meandering depth while 'Blight' is deep and foreboding tot he point of being machinelike. 'Bane' is one of the most moving pieces in drone we have heard in a long, long time. Second Compilation Of New Music By Ex-Sarah Records Bands! Under The Bridge 2 is the sequel to the celebrated 2022 compilation album that reunited groups and songwriters who had once recorded for cult label Sarah Records. The new album showcases the continuing creativity of a special group of musicians who have never rested on their laurels. Bigger and more expansive than the first album, Under the Bridge 2 is a double LP, containing twenty brand new tracks. There is a huge range of material here, from intense, dark chamber pop to dense shoegaze to out-and-out indiepop. Exciting new groups are unveiled: The Gentle Spring (a new project by Michael Hiscock of The Field Mice); Vetchinsky Settings (a collaboration between Mark Tranmer and James Hackett of The Orchids); and Mystic Village (which features new songs by Robert Cooksey of The Sea Urchins). You will also see familiar starry names like Even As We Speak, The Orchids and Secret Shine - bands whose line-ups have remained mostly unchanged since the 1990s. And there are established bands who didn't appear on the first album but are now represented - bands like Action Painting! and The Hit Parade. When Bob Vylan won the first MOBO award for Best Alternative Music Act in 2022, the punk-grime duo took to the stage and used the platform to speak about how they managed to achieve the impossible as independent artists in a genre-defying space. “We released an album this year that we produced entirely, mixed entirely, recorded entirely, all from my bedroom…so everybody that’s here, bigging up Atlantic and bigging up Warner, fuck that, us man did it ourselves”.

It was an acceptance speech that rattled the room and built anticipation for their next projects.

Humble as the Sun, the forthcoming album from Bob Vylan continues with much of the rage and urgency that they have come to be known and loved for, but this latest project shows that they are now stronger and wiser, bolstered by the wins and learnings that they have fought hard for along the way. The resulting tracklist aims to leave the listener feeling power alongside their anger, and brings a fresh and compelling blend of punk, rock, grime and rap together in an experimental way.

Following on from the last album, Bob Vylan Presents the Price of Life, the message woven throughout Humble as the Sun remains dark in places but is high-energy, defiant and unapologetic in its critique of a broken social and political system that so many have fallen victim to, but feel powerless against.

This album is for the underdogs, the ones who come out swinging and those who refuse to be defeated in the face of injustice, and aims to remind listeners that anger is a fire that can be harnessed and put to use. The album creation started from a conversation with the sun, which is, after all, a big ball of fire that sustains life.

From masculinity to myths about the G Spot, the themes and topics explored on Humble As The Sun make for an often humorously empowering celebration of the peoples ability to endure, overcome and bring about change.

The lyricism on this album is even more layered than their previous projects, still darkly humorous, anti-establishment and unforgiving but at times pauses to deliver much-needed words of afrmation to listeners, “You are loved. You are not alone. You are going through hell but keep going.” Bobby assures the listener, ofering an antidote to the state of the world, aiming to give some power and agency to those who hear it. At a time when so little trust or faith exists between the people and the powers that be, Bob Vylan ofers out a hand in the despondent darkness that has overwhelmed so many in the shadow of a burning planet. They guides the listener to a place where they can see some light and feel empowered to do something, to fight back, to continue pushing forwards despite the challenges faced along the way.

Mixing all of the best quintessentially British - and Jamaican - musical elements from punk to drum and bass, grime and rock, Bob Vylan creates a sound that reflects the state of the nation, at once voicing the frustrations that normal people have, while also highlighting one’s ability to persevere, overcome hardship and to change.
