Continuing to operate on the very outer fringes of the techno and electronica genre, A Sagittariun returns this Autumn with a new release on Elastic Dreams. Following on from 2013's acclaimed 'Dream Ritual' album and the 2014 single 'The Jupiter Chronicles' EP, the one born under the ninth sign offers up more cosmic techno and astral excursions on the 'Wish You Were There' EP. From the searing techno of 'Loopholes' to the heavy break and subaquatic melodies of 'The Lathe Of Heaven' to the wide-eyed and emotive closer of 'Blakes Vision', another trio of versatile tracks from 'the Archer' here.

Les Disques du Crepuscule presents a deluxe remastered edition of Pauline Murray and the Invisible Girls, the debut album by post/punk icon Pauline Murray, produced by revered sonic architect Martin 'Zero' Hannett.
Recorded at the famous Strawberry Studios in July 1980, the album offered epic electronic pop written by Pauline and partner Robert Blamire and marked a radical departure from their shared past in pioneering punk band Penetration. 'This is sophistication,' enthused Paul Morley in NME. 'Lovely songs of anxiety, malaise and self-doubt.' According to Melody Maker the album was 'unquestionably a musical highpoint of this year or any other.'
As well producer/arrangers Martin Hannett and Steve Hopkins (aka the Invisible Girls), the album features a stellar cast of guest musicians including John Maher (Buzzcocks) and Vini Reilly (Durutti Column). Indeed Pauline Murray and the Invisible Girls presents almost a Factory record, exquisitely sleeved by Peter Saville and Trevor Key. Stand-out tracks include the popular singles Dream Sequence and Mr X, with the newly remastered Hannett tracks now augmented on CD by a wealth of bonus material including non-album singles, live recordings (from tours in 1980 and 1981) and a John Peel session (1980). The liner note is by Jon Savage.
'It's a bit of a missing link album,' says Pauline today. 'Written and recorded after punk, but before Martin Rushent and the Human League made airy pop respectable again. We chose the other Martin in 1980 because we wanted the incredible sounds he achieved for Joy Division and Magazine. Thundertunes, basically.'

ZOV ZOV is a collaboration of Oliver Ho and Tommy Gillard - the culmination of almost 10 years of unreleased sound experiments. The two artists have worked on building up a vault of music that holds hours and hours of material.

The phrase 'feux follets' from which Archipel 105 draws its title, comes from the Latin ignis fatuus, and translates as will-o'-the-wisp. The etymology reaches back to old folktales in which ill-intentioned spirits would cast an atmospheric glow at night, in order to lead weary travellers astray. Today, the term refers to ghost-lights - artificial light reflections caused by decomposing organic emissions. Anyway you choose to understand it; this music contains the mysterious and unattainable. Feux Follets are meant to depict an elusive (and perhaps also illusive) ambition. A tense equilibrium colours the constant, foundational sounds with aleatory movements. The compositions are detail-oriented, and boldly explore their tangential elements.

Une sensibilité suffisamment entrainée peut les naviguer. Ainsi le glorieux "rétro boy" avec sa boite à rythme et son synthétiseur, manifeste de la préhistoire de la techno, tout comme plusieurs personnes manipulant ces machines ne sont qu'un simulacre de ces groupes musicaux des siècles précédents. L'artiste en sa matière assemblée, construite et mutante, lui seul touche à l'individu dans son plus proche appareil. Dans l'enfance de la musique électronique dansante, le musicien reproduit l'autrefois essentiellement acoustique dansant directement sur un petit ensemble d'appareils et ne pouvant qu'agir sur de faibles transformations sonores, restreint à des possibilités de son par les ingénieurs d'une firme parait bien triste dans l'échec de la libération de ses semblables. Aujourd'hui par le biais de la multitude des supports et leur consultation facilité par les nouveaux médias, naviguer entre pratiques d'autrefois et connaissances de ces anciennes cultures tout en les combinant au mode d'aujourd'hui permet le rassemblement de la culture d'une lignée dont le point vectoriel semble remonter vers la naissance d'un certain assemblage physique qui engage un peu près toujours un certain ensemble de mouvements déclenchés autour d'un axe sensible ici non seulement à l'interaction sonore dans un isolement provoqué mais aussi dans le rapport du corps dans l'environnement construit autour d'une énergie artificielle ayant pour but principal le déclenchement de couches successives de vents à modulation de fréquences variées et pulsées à de multiples échelles par la sensibilité humaine de plusieurs personnes à plusieurs époques et rassembler autour d'un même esprit festif harmonieux. Following a hiatus of nearly two years, the latest Furanum offering signals the return of solo work from label owner Dominik Muller and coincides with a pivotal tenth release on the label. The Embodiment of Brute Propulsion most notably features for the first time on vinyl robust reconstructions of two the artist's most seminal compositions. Both previously released on UK's Locked Records, 'Eintrachthutte' (2007) and 'Silesian Boy' (2009) have served as stepping stones for the artist's evolving musical vision and represent a raw reflection of the influential period spent immersed in his industrial homeland of Upper Silesia. Audibly modernized and now endowed with a substantially augmented lower end, the two capably maintain the feel and imagery of the originals; the former the impressions of a visit to an iconic location bearing the same name, and the latter a personal exploration of identity in the context of youth.
Also given the wax treatment for the first time is 'Blank,' a previously unreleased piece that has been a mainstay of Dominik's live performances in various forms since 2011. Defined by a recurring and ineluctable pattern, both intrusive yet irresistible, its orphic narrative is subtly driven forward by a series of menacing drones weave their way around a dense and forceful rhythmical panorama. Lastly, the repertoire is complemented by a vinyl-exclusive personal capture of an industrial press shop in operation. Seemingly bare, inanimate, and inexorably bound to its predeterminate cycle of motion, the mechanized landscape stands as a symbolic archetype of the aesthetic ambitions of the label.
Mastered at Berlin's D&M by CGB, Fu010 will be available on 12" as well as in digital format at all fine music retailers.

SVS Records was set up by Beni Brachtel and Daniel Hermann-Collini as an imprint of Brachtel's sister project Selbstversorgersound (SVS). A compilation titled "SVS 1" was released in Oct 2012. This was the first official collection made up of songs from the last three years by various artists whose backgrounds could hardly be more diverse. Next up is a three vinyl series named "Polyrhythmic Series 1-3". Volume 2 contains exclusive productions from Gnther Lause (Karlsruhe/ Berlin, Crosstown Rebels, Paradise Now!, Laut und Luise, SVS), Larkin & the Sky (London/Munich, Paradise Now!, Goldsmith, SVS), Bartellow (Munich, Pollyester, Tambien, Columbus, GTA Hoffmann, SVS) and Konrad Wehrmeister. Five techno tracks of the highest calibre ranging from from dubbed out to tripped out and way beyond!

There has been much speculation about the significance of the Mayan system of timekeeping. Many researchers on the subject have verified that the Mayan long count calendar, which is only one of several advanced timekeeping tools devised by the Mayan people, comes to an end on December 21, 2012, with no real clear explanation as to what exactly that signifies. Some have speculated that it was meant to point to a cataclysmic event that would end the world as we previously knew it, while others have hypothesized it to indicate some worldwide shift in consciousness around that time. This musical offering is not meant to speculate on the meaning of this date. Instead, it serves as a tribute to one of the most astronomically, mathematically and architecturally advanced civilizations in the history of planet Earth. Each track is a tribute to one of the many Mayan spiritual sites known to date. While only four of these temples are acknowledged in this recording, many others have been rediscovered and more are yet to be found.

Amsterdam's wild-man San Proper is unleashing his inner beast! The results are being served up on his debut album 'Animal', due out spring 2012. The whole album was mixed by San & Ricardo Villalobos...sounds GREAT! TIP!

As summer falls away, Aconito Records rises again with more experimental sound designs and deep atmospheres on this new limited-edition record, Gaia's Archetype. Featured here are two productions by Hironori Takahashi of Japan, as well as an edit from label owner Nax_Acid. Inspired by the emotions he discovered at Japan's 'Metamorphose' open-air festival, Hironori wished to express feelings of contrasting unity - light and dark, human and nature - in his music.

Isomer Transition, also known as RJ Valeo, is producer and live performer from Brooklyn, New York. After producing for a many years, his productions caught the attention of the Moodgadget label and then Pheek from Archipel. He has released on both imprints and both were well received and respected; songs in his discography have been featured on both Maryanne Hobb's The Breezeblock and Magda's Fabric Compilation.

Motoko & Myers is the collaborative project of Bay Area-based duo Wonja Fairbrother and Daniel Letson. “Colocate” follows their 2018 debut release on the Open Hands Real Flames imprint (Bass Clef), further developing their distinctive style which combines melodic, pop song structures with live improvisation and odd or no-meter approaches to rhythm and timing. It is a collection of bright, addictive listening, full of tracks that manage to feel at once hooky and aleatory, naive and rigorously arranged.

Recorded and assembled sporadically over a period of several years, the album’s idiosyncratic palette was achieved through much technical and methodological eccentricity: “4-handed” collaborative keyboard playing; 12-bit sampling and archaic presets; field recordings of cicadas in Louisville, Kentucky and church bells in Freiburg im Breisgau. The album’s nine tracks exude a homespun quality that is rare to find in contemporary electronic music – hazy, warm, and disarmingly organic.
