Glossy Mistakes is proud to announce the reissue of Resonance 001, the groundbreaking debut EP by Belgian producer Fabrice Lagrange, created in collaboration with Frank Beekman and originally released in 1992. Long overlooked, this forward-thinking record captures a pivotal moment in the early European evolution of house and trance-melding minimalism, emotion, and club-oriented experimentation into a sound that remains strikingly fresh over three decades later.
Resonance 001 stands among the earliest European records to explore the fertile intersection of hypnotic house rhythms and atmospheric trance. The A-side, featuring The Awakening Earth and Pure Self, channels a stripped-down yet euphoric energy-deeply inspired by the spirit of Detroit techno but undeniably forward-looking. As Frank Beekman recalls: "This record was recorded in a very simple studio, with minimal gear, inspired by the Detroit techno sound."
On the B-side, the EP ventures further into experimental territory. Paris By Night offers a dreamy, tech-tinged house excursion, leading into Redondanz, a meditative downtempo closer that perfectly encapsulates the release's subtle charm.
The enduring appeal of Resonance 001 lies in its restraint: crafted with minimal tools, it delivers maximum emotional depth. It seamlessly blends hazy trance atmospheres, early house grooves, and ambient-inflected textures, capturing the open-minded, exploratory ethos of early '90s electronic music.
Now remastered for vinyl by Wouter Brandenburg, Resonance 001 returns in pristine form-faithfully preserving its original character while bringing new clarity to its timeless sound.

The Bug Club sind wieder da, für ihren jährlichen Termin auf dem Markt der Garagen-Rock-Macher, wo sie eine weitere reinrassige Platte anpreisen. LP-Nummer vier, "Very Human Features", erscheint kurz nach der ersten Sub Pop-Veröffentlichung der Band, "On the Intricate Inner Workings of the System" von 2024. Mit dieser Platte setzte die Band ihre Liebesbeziehung zu BBC Radio 6 fort, begann dank einer Session mit KEXP eine neue und tauchte auf den Seiten des NME auf. Gibt es noch etwas auf der Liste? Oh ja, Festivalauftritte, unter anderem im heimischen Green Man's Walled Garden, das bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt ist. Dann Auftritte in den USA an den Orten, von denen die Briten immer nur hören. Dieses Album - eine neue Ladung typisch verspielter, riffgeladener, intelligenter Bug Club-Songs - gibt der Band einen Vorwand, ihre nicht enden wollende Tournee fortzusetzen und ihre schreienden Fans zu füttern, die dank der unermüdlichen Veröffentlichungswelle dieser Band überschwänglich und erwartungsvoll sind. Auf "Very Human Features" haben The Bug Club ihre Gewohnheit fortgesetzt, sich als ein kollektiver Geist zu präsentieren. Zwei in Einem. Selten findet man eine Band mit zwei kreativen Kräften, die eine so einzigartige, gemeinsame Perspektive, Sinn für Humor und ein Händchen für Popmelodien haben. In "Beep Boop Computers" wechseln Sänger Sam (auch an der Gitarre) und Tilly (am Bass) zwischen I's, my's und we's hin und her, als ob es da keinen Unterschied gäbe, während sie zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen und Erfahrungen in einer glorreichen Glam-Rock-Demontage der menschlichen Aspekte, auf die der Titel des Albums verweist, auf die Schippe nehmen. Um beim Thema zu bleiben: "How to Be a Confidante" macht das, was The-Bug-Club wirklich können, indem sie, wieder als zwei Stimmen aus demselben Kopf, allgemeine Aspekte unseres Lebens herausgreifen und sie lächerlich klingen lassen. Das Surreale liegt im Vertrauten, nicht im Ignorieren des Vertrauten - The Bug Club wissen das, und dieses Verständnis bildet zusammen mit einer unerbittlichen Basslinie das Rückgrat dieses Garagenrock-angehauchten Gassenhauers. Nachdem The Bug Club in den USA dank der kräftigen Garagen-Punk-Scheibe "On the Intricate Inner Workings of the System" und der anschließenden US-Tournee eine entsprechend große Fangemeinde gewonnen haben, wird die fruchtbare Partnerschaft mit Sup Pop mit "Very Human Features" noch schmackhafter. Die neue Platte ist ein sicherer und unendlich witziger Wirbelwind aus literarischem, selbstreferenziellem und gut gelauntem Rock'n'Roll. SWEARING AT MOTORISTS haben einen langen Weg hinter sich, seit der Name 1994 auf Plakaten für eine Fake-Band erschien Die hingen auf mysteriöse Weise in Plattenläden und Musiklokalen in Dayton, Ohio, Ein paar Monate nachdem die Plakate auf auftauchten kritzelte Dave Doughman den Namen auf eine Kassette mit homerecordings, die er an Freunde verschenkte, und 1995 war die Band dann offiziell geboren. Swearing At Motorists zogen 2005 nach Berlin, Deutschland, und veröffentlichten im folgenden Jahr ihre letzte LP für Secretly Canadian, Last Night Becomes This Morning, bevor sie leise in der nicht enden wollenden Berliner Nacht verschwanden... 8 Jahre später war die Band plötzlich in Hamburg wieder aufgetaucht, mit einem neuen Album: "While Laughing, The Joker Tells The Truth", das 2014 auf Anton Newcombes Label A Recordings Ltd. erschien. Co-produziert von Dave und Rick McPhail (von Tocotronic), erzählt das Album die Geschichten dieser verlorenen" 8 Jahre im klassischen Motorists-Stil. Exzellentes Best-Of-Album der australischen Folkrock-Band The Middle East, die nach zwei ausgezeichneten Studioalben Ende der Nuller-/Anfang der Zehnerjahre ("The Recordings Of The Middle East" & " I Want That You Are Always Happy") auseinanderging, um sich 2019 wieder zu vereinen. Die LP "The Songs Of The Middle East" ist ein wunderschönes Zeugnis ihrer Arbeit und Musik und der guten und schlechten Zeiten, die sie erstmals 2023 während ihrer zweiten Reunion-Tour durch die USA als Vorgruppe von Zach Bryan dabei hatten und die jetzt erstmals flächendeckend erhältlich wird.

UK. His music endures, and this vinyl collection of his very best
songs is testament to a unique performer.

What's Not To Love? is an album of music from John C. Reilly's vaudeville-inspired show where he embodies a character called Mister Romantic. Mister Romantic marks the Academyr, GRAMMYr, and TONYr award nominee's most personal project to date. The show, which was created to foster empathy and love for one another, has been described by Vanity Fair as "fiercely funny," while Theaterly hailed it as one of the best performances of 2024 following a one-night show in New York City. Phantasy proudly presents a new AA single from Ewan McVicar, ‘Careless Drifter / Basic Foundation’. Undoubtedly one of the most prominent and successful figures in UK dance music in recent years, McVicar’s contribution to Erol Alkan’s long-standing London label is a love letter from his earliest days raving in rural Scotland. Debuted by McVicar at I Love Acid at Corsica Studios, and road tested at his own Handpicked parties, each track is a paean to communal party spirit that has informed his musical philosophy.

Patient but instantly trippy, ‘Careless Drifter’ coaxes dancers into a bottom-heavy bath of bassline and oscillations, revealing an alluring saxophone break that bridges the rawest end of the rave with unexpected opulence.

On the flip side, ‘Basic Foundation’ further strips back this instinct for club composition, dropping the tempo while dazzling with razor-sharp synths. The result is primo acid-house chug, alternating between light and shade, as McVicar’s knack for a melody emerges from his modular experiments.

From touchdowns and slam dunks to space age captains of industry, "Millenium" captivates listeners with its dynamic compositions, offering a compelling musical journey through the aspirations and achievements of the burgeoning digital age of the early 1980s.

Adrian Sherwood meldet sich mit seiner ersten Musik als Solokünstler seit 13 Jahren zurück: den rhythmisch mutierten Soundlandschaften der EP "The Grand Designer", dem neuesten Teil der langjährigen und beliebten On-U Sound Disco-Plate-Serie.

"Russian Oscillator" ähnelt den Platten von Sherwood & Pinch vielleicht am meisten: Experimentelle Elektronik verwebt sich mit schweren Soundsystem-Klängen und einem an Ruffneck-Dancehall erinnernden Swing. Die EP endet mit "Cold War Skank", einer Linksabbiegung vom Highway in glühenden Wüstenblues, verzerrten Slide-Gitarrenmustern über der Atmosphäre einer Breitwand-Filmmusik.

The legendary London based Get Fucked is set for highly anticipated reissue, bringing back two timeless classics and sought after tracks from the early 2000s. This special edition features a meticulously remastered version of the classic Charlie’s Knickers, alongside a previously unheard take on Nils Hess’ Alcohol Is My Favourite. Expertly restored and reimagined by the revered reissue series Endell Street, this is a pure gold collector’s number.

Oslo-based label Boring Crew Records (BCR) makes its vinyl debut with the Prærien EP. The EP showcases the label’s diverse range and vision, with six tracks that span various moods and genres, setting the stage for what’s to come.

BCR01 kicks off with Oasen by Anders Hajem, a dark and chugging track. The title track, Prærien, seamlessly picks up where Oasen left off, delving deeper into the atmosphere with a hypnotic bassline and subtle tension. Perkules rounds off the A-side with his Oasen remix, stripping it down into a raw, minimal version with a heavy(!) bottom-end.

On the B-side, Henrik Villard’s Cowgirl hits hard with raw and gritty drums, with a touch of dubbed-out vocals. Woodfall Temple follows, enveloping listeners in its tribal and slight meditative energy. Canadian producer Cooper Saver then closes the EP with his mesmerizing remix of Woodfall Temple, ramping up the tempo with layered synth lines that create an irresistible, trance-like atmosphere.
