On Stage is a live album by legendary American singer Elvis Presley. Recorded in Las Vegas in 1969-1970, the album was a follow-up to From Memphis to Vegas/From Vegas to Memphis. Unlike its predecessor, On Stage is focused on songs that weren’t associated with Elvis previously. The album features the worldwide number one single “The Wonder of You”, written by Baker Knight and originally recorded by Vince Edwards. Some other notable songs include “Sweet Caroline” (Neil Diamond), “Yesterday” (The Beatles) and “Proud Mary” (Creedence Clearwater Revival). “See See Rider” would eventually become Elvis’ frequent opening songs during concerts up until his last show. The album brings Elvis’ charismatic stage presence straight to your living room, and contains nothing but classic songs to sing along to. Pressed on transparent red vinyl, this record is available as a limited edition of 2500 individually numbered copies.

Released on the "Bullwackie" label using the stock font and layout of one of NYC's long-shuttered pressing plants, according to Mr. Barnes this one was released "right before I got my logo."

The rubber of ER Jurken"s pure pop fantasias meets the road on his second album, aided and inspired by a power trio of players from Chicago"s Junegrass to crank it up and out of the park. Paul Von Mertens" string and horn arrangements highlight the gritted teeth and dripping sweat that belie Ed & Co"s easy riding rock, while Jurken"s heavenly vocal choir provides balm to transcend and defy the stings of everyday misfortune.

Die hochgeschätzten Euro-Metal-Pioniere OZ wurden 1977 in der kleinen finnischen Stadt Nakilla ursprünglich als Cover-Band gegründet. Die Band bestand aus Mark Ruffneck (bürgerlicher Name Pekka Mark) am Schlagzeug, Sänger Ape DeMartine (Tapani Hämäläinen), Bassist Tauno Vajavaara sowie Kario Elo an der Gitarre.

Nachdem man in jedem Winkel des Heimatlandes Finnland live gespielt hatte, zogen OZ 1983 nach Stockholm um und unterschrieben einen Vertrag bei Börje Forsbergs Label Tyfon Grammofon AB Börje Forsberg, auch als The Boss bekannt, war der Sohn von Bathorys Quorthon.

In der Folge avancierten OZ zu einer der wichtigsten Heavy-Metal-Bands Skandinaviens und nahmen insgesamt fünf Studioalben auf, eher im Winter 1991/92 das Ende kam.

Nach »OZ« (1982), »Fire In The Brain« (1983) sowie »III Warning« (1984) war »Decibel Storm« 1985 das vierte Album der finnischen Schweden.

Als Martsch ihre Musik entdeckte, verliebte er sich sofort in sie und bat sie bei Built to Spill mitzumachen, als er eine neue Begleitband für Auftritte in Brasilien brauchte. Die Auftritte in Brasilien liefen so gut, dass Martsch, Almeida und Casaes beschlossen, 2019 weiter zusammen zu spielen und durch die USA und Europa zu touren. Bei Soundchecks erlernten sie neue Songs, die Martsch geschrieben hatte, und als die Tournee zu Ende war, nahmen sie die Bass- und Schlagzeugspuren in seinem Proberaum in Boise auf. Absolutely killer rhythm with brilliant added melodica, the late Nathan Skyers in top form, a really underrated singer. Truly one of our favorite unreleased finds to date. The Nathan Skyers and the next cut by Patrick Cool are each backed with different dub mixes.

Part two of the FOX FIRE series is here, with more killer 1970's roots from Clive Matthews and Trevor Byfield. 'My Girl Has Gone' is Clive Matthews' first recording, originally released in the mid '70s on the Percival label, and recorded at Dynamic Sound with the Now Generation Band.

Auf ihrem Debütalbum ist eine lange Liste von Elite-Musikern aus der Daptone-Familie zu hören, die alle mit ihrem Talent dazu beigetragen haben, Pazners kreative Vision zu verwirklichen. Das Album wurde mit großem Beifall aufgenommen und erlangte schnell den Ruf als eines der besten Instrumental-Soul-Alben des Jahrzehnts – mit Rezensionen von Pitchfork, American Songwriter, Brooklyn Vegan, Rolling Stone u.v.a.. Im digitalen Bereich wurde das Projekt durch ein unglaublich starkes organisches Wachstum bei den DSPs unterstützt, wobei die Streaming-Zahlen alle Erwartungen übertrafen und es zu einem Durchbruchserfolg sowohl für Daptone als auch für Pazner machten. Nach dem Erfolg seines Debütalbums verbrachte Pazner die nächsten Jahre damit, den musikalischen Kosmos zu erkunden – er schrieb Songs mit Lee Fields und begleitete ihn als Keyboarder auf Tournee. Mit einer Mischung aus Musikern, die bereits auf dem Debüt zu hören waren, sowie einer Handvoll Freunden und Mitwirkenden, die er auf seiner musikalischen Reise kennengelernt hat, bildete er ein 17-köpfiges Ensemble aus den besten Musikern der Szene. Während „The Olympians“ stark vom klassischen Soul-Stil von Curtis Mayfield und James Brown beeinflusst war, lehnt sich „In Search of a Revival“ an die goldene Ära der Wrecking Crew, die üppigen Texturen der Gold Star Studios, Vintage-Filmmusik und die eher unbekannten Ecken der cineastischen Klanglandschaften an. Auf ihrem Debütalbum ist eine lange Liste von Elite-Musikern aus der Daptone-Familie zu hören, die alle mit ihrem Talent dazu beigetragen haben, Pazners kreative Vision zu verwirklichen. Das Album wurde mit großem Beifall aufgenommen und erlangte schnell den Ruf als eines der besten Instrumental-Soul-Alben des Jahrzehnts – mit Rezensionen von Pitchfork, American Songwriter, Brooklyn Vegan, Rolling Stone u.v.a.. Im digitalen Bereich wurde das Projekt durch ein unglaublich starkes organisches Wachstum bei den DSPs unterstützt, wobei die Streaming-Zahlen alle Erwartungen übertrafen und es zu einem Durchbruchserfolg sowohl für Daptone als auch für Pazner machten. Nach dem Erfolg seines Debütalbums verbrachte Pazner die nächsten Jahre damit, den musikalischen Kosmos zu erkunden – er schrieb Songs mit Lee Fields und begleitete ihn als Keyboarder auf Tournee. In dieser Zeit gründete er auch eine Familie. Diese Reihe von einschneidenden Lebensereignissen bereitete den Boden für das kommende Album „In Search of a Revival“ (Daptone Records).
Dieses Mal, ganze 10 Jahre nach der Veröffentlichung des selbstbetitelten Debütalbums, komponierte, arrangierte und produzierte Pazner das gesamte Album selbst. Mit einer Mischung aus Musikern, die bereits auf dem Debüt zu hören waren, sowie einer Handvoll Freunden und Mitwirkenden, die er auf seiner musikalischen Reise kennengelernt hat, bildete er ein 17-köpfiges Ensemble aus den besten Musikern der Szene. Während „The Olympians“ stark vom klassischen Soul-Stil von Curtis Mayfield und James Brown beeinflusst war, lehnt sich „In Search of a Revival“ an die goldene Ära der Wrecking Crew, die üppigen Texturen der Gold Star Studios, Vintage-Filmmusik und die eher unbekannten Ecken der cineastischen Klanglandschaften an. From 1986-1987, Chet traveled and worked with the photographer and filmmaker Bruce Weber on a project that would become their Oscar- nominated documentary "Let's Get Lost"1988. During this period, Chet performed at the Cannes Film Festival and recorded sessions at Studio Davout in Paris and Sage and Sound Studio in Hollywood. All remained unreleased until now. Inspired by the film - which celebrated its 35th anniversary last year - SWIMMING BY MOONLIGHT is a two-record soundtrack album curated by Bruce Weber and produced by John Leftwich that compiles music, dialogue and live concert recordings.

"Ballad of a Small Player" ist eine der großen Veröffentlichungen von Netflix im Jahr 2025. Als Blackwater Holylight vor drei Jahren ihre Heimatstadt Portland, Oregon, verließen, war es ihr Ziel, der Tristesse des pazifischen Nordwestens und dem beruhigenden Komfort des Vertrauten zu entfliehen. Mit dem Ziel, das sonnigere Klima von Los Angeles zu genießen, fand sich die Band nicht nur in einer wärmeren Umgebung wieder, sondern auch in einer völlig neuen Landschaft - einer ohne Arbeitsplätze, langjährige Freundeskreise und die bequeme Zuflucht alter Gewohnheiten. Und genau hier, unbelastet von der Zufriedenheit der Sicherheit, begann Blackwater Holylight fleißig an ihrem vierten Album ,Not Here Not Gone" zu arbeiten. In der Evolutionsbiologie beschreibt der Begriff ,Spandrel" die Merkmale eines Organismus, die nicht fürs Überleben wichtig sind und keinen offensichtlichen Zweck haben. Das Wort kommt aus der Architektur und bezeichnet die dreieckigen Räume in den Ecken eines Bogens: kleine ästhetische Elemente, die für Symmetrie sorgen und Grenzen markieren. Die Musikerin und Sängerin Evita Manji stellt auf ihrem Debütalbum eine undurchsichtige Frage und fragt sich angesichts eines großen Verlusts, welche Teile von uns zum Durchhalten beitragen und welche vielleicht nur Deko sind. Ihre Tracks, die aus den Dämpfen zeitgenössischer Clubmusik, Barock-Pop und experimentellem Sounddesign zusammengesetzt sind, sind für Manji eine Möglichkeit, ihre Beziehung zur Welt im Allgemeinen und zu sich selbst im Besonderen zu untersuchen, Kontrollsysteme zu zerlegen und die Vernetzung hervorzuheben. Manji ist seit einigen Jahren eine ätherische Präsenz in der Szene und arbeitet als Soundkünstler und Kreativdirektor mit zahlreichen Künstlern zusammen. Manji trat weltweit auf Festivals wie Unsound, Lunchmeat und Rhizom auf, spielte in Clubs in Berlin und London und wurde ausgewählt, die Plattform Shape+ im Jahr 2022 zu vertreten. Diese Erfahrungen fließen in ,Spandrel?" ein und helfen ihnen, ein komplexes künstlerisches Gewebe zu weben, das weit unter die Oberfläche des Daseins blickt und versucht, das Unheil des globalen Klimawandels mit Themen wie Selbstverwirklichung, Liebe und körperlicher Autonomie in Einklang zu bringen. Ihre Dunkelheit wird in ,Oil Too Much" von innen nach außen gedrängt, einem Kommentar zur Ölindustrie aus der Perspektive des Tierreichs, der gleichzeitig als neonfarbener Ausdruck der zeitgenössischen Depression dient. Aber in ,Body/Prison" klingt Manji am offensten, spricht ehrlich über die dunkelsten Momente ihres Lebens und gesteht ihre tiefsten Gefühle über sengende, von Trance inspirierte Synthesizer und groteske Percussion. ,Spandrel?" ist ein Album, das Zeit braucht, um sich zu entfalten, und Manjis Themen hallen durch eine Geschichte wider, die älter ist als die Popmusik. Es ist tragisch, romantisch und poetisch und weigert sich entschieden, sich von den drängendsten Themen unserer Zeit abzuwenden.

Nachdem AWINHSMK Ende 2022 bei Audiolith erschien, ging es für die Band wild hin- und her zwischen Pop-Festivals, Punkbühnen, Preisverleihungen und Solishows für selbstverwaltete Kulturzentren oder gegen die extreme Rechte. Nun der Nachfolger Great Resignation bei Kidnap. Das Schulterklopfen der Kulturförderung darf natürlich auch nicht fehlen. Zwölf Tracks auf 1:22 bis 2:30. Ästhetisch nochmal diversifiziert und dennoch aus einem Guss, entstanden unter Regie von Gregor Hennig im Studio Nord Bremen, gemischt von Daniel Roesberg und gemastert von Christian Bethge. Musikalisch klarer und pointierter als zuvor. Obviously (Post-)Punk, poppige Niedlichkeit, Garage Vibes, bisschen Hamburger Schule, bisschen Kraut, etwas düsterere Gitarren und natürlich Brotschneidemaschine durch FX geballert. Große Resignation! Die große Traurigkeit zieht sich durch die Platte hindurch, auch in den auf den ersten Blick lustigen Liedern. Denn hier sind sich pogendroblem treu geblieben, es geht um absurde Alltagsgeschichten, um Subjektivierung, die nicht mehr zu funktionieren scheint. Um Fragmentierung von Gesellschaft, Arbeitsbeziehungen, der Linken. Wie durch die Zeit der Monster (Antonio Gramsci) navigieren, fragen pogendroblem. Wie weiter machen gegen Faschisierung und Klimakrise? Klar ist: Es kann nicht immer so weitergehen.

und gründeten im Juni 1988 ihre Bigband „Die Zöllner“. Sechzehn Alben erschienen in den vergangenen 35 Jahren. Zöllner veröffentlichte außerdem
vier Bücher und engagiert sich als Kolumnist der „Freien Presse“ für einen friedvollen gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt. Das Raue und das Weiche,
das Improvisierte und das Klare – schon mehrfach kam es zur Symbiose der sehr unterschiedlichen Stimmen von Dirk Zöllner und Manuel Schmid. In
Zeiten von Corona veröffentlichten die beiden ein Wohnzimmerkonzert mit besagtem Liedgut. 2024 wurde die Symbiose nun live erlebbar und als
Mitschnittfestgehalten.

Mit "Death Jokes" wendet sich der in New York City lebende Damon McMahon, zum ersten Mal seit der Gründung des Amen Dunes Projekts im Jahr 2006, mit seinen spirituellen Reflexionen und Meditationen von sich selbst ab und wendet sich direkt der Welt zu. Das Album ist auch musikalisch und thematisch eine drastische Wendung, verwurzelt in der elektronischen Musik der Raves und der Rap-Musik, mit der er aufgewachsen ist, von der er sich aber nie vorstellen konnte, dass er sie machen könnte. Durch Samples und Texte wirkt es wie ein vernichtendes elektronisches Essay über Amerikas Kultur der Gewalt, der Dominanz und des zerstörerischen Individualismus. Die Arbeit an "Death Jokes" begann nur wenige Wochen vor der ersten Nachricht von der Pandemie im Winter 2019; sie wurde drei Jahre später abgeschlossen. The esteemed Brazilian techno artist ANNA delivers a rework, adding her signature touch to this iconic track.

"In 2023, while preparing for my Tomorrowland set, I was exploring iconic tracks that resonated in Belgium and could be perfect for an edit. I chose 'Pulverturm' for its powerful vocals and strong melody”, says ANNA. “What started as a quick edit turned into a labour of love, and I was so happy with the outcome that I wanted to try to release it as an official rework. We were in conversation with Niels Van Gogh when I sent the track to Charlotte de Witte, who loved it. She introduced me to Époque, and we decided to release the rework together. It's been a year since I crafted this rework, and I've never had so many artists from various genres, Techno, House, Melodic Techno, Tech House, Hard Techno, requesting a track like they did with my rework of 'Pulverturm.' It's incredibly exciting to finally share it with the world!"

Charlotte de Witte adds: “I fell in love with ANNA's masterfully crafted touch on ‘Pulverturm’ the moment she sent it to me. Being a bit of a sucker for legendary tracks that have left a deep mark on the history of electronic music myself, this one just hits all the right spots. The original “Pulverturm” is a twitchy and hypnotic cut with trance infused synths over the top of the rumbling drums. There is progressive energy in the melodies and plenty of emotion in the vocals. ANNA’s version is driving and emotive with sensual vocals and bright, trance infused chords over rolling drums that bring the power.

CAY unveils his personal side on Another Life, a debut album rich in melancholic euphoria

The expressive, multi-faceted 10 tracker comes on Mind Against's HABITAT label in January 2026

Cologne-born producer CAY explores beyond the dancefloor with Another Life, a debut album that trades peak-time pressure for an ambitious and artful exploration of self. Far from being rooted in one genre, the record weaves his own honest vocals with a wide range of powerful rhythms that pull from progressive, broken beat, techno and trance.

For CAY, making music has always offered refuge and a place to calm his mind, process life’s chaos and channel personal experiences into sound. His journey started in the clubs of Cologne, in illegal forest raves and with trips to Berlin to soak up big room techno. His search for more purpose, away from mental demons and the darker side of the party lifestyle, led him to production. DJing followed after a push from his brother turned Manager, and while those experiences around Europe shaped his understanding of dance floor dynamics, he was never in a rush to release his early experiments.

Instead, CAY took private time to evolve into an accomplished artist with his own musical voice. Label heads Mind Against were so impressed when they heard what he sent to their demo inbox, they both reached out to collaborate, and he has since released on their label HABITAT.

With Another Life, he is making music that is multilayered and rich in narrative, rather than defined purely by big moments. It is drawn from years of writing, with more than 60 tracks whittled down to one concise, impactful statement. "There wasn't one big concept,” says CAY “but there was direction. It's a big risk for me, but I wanted to introduce people who like club music to something deeper. I want the music to say something real.”

Because of that, Another Life introduces CAY the vocalist. For the first time, he sings on several tracks. The subjects are real, whether that's an important friend, a moment with his girlfriend or, on 'Runaway', the thought of giving up and escaping everything. The lyrics are honest but often slightly oblique, so they invite your own readings rather than spelling everything out.

Sonically, the album moves between optimistic grandeur and introspective reality. It's cinematic but personal and bridges the gap between dancefloor drive and vulnerable storytelling. There is a grand scale to many of the tracks, with arching synths reaching and heavyhearted drums anchoring a groove: you'll dance, you'll cry, maybe both at the same time.

Another Life is the sound of a producer granting himself permission to sing, turn inwards and risk audience expectations. It’s intimate without being insular, club-capable without being confined, and a compelling first chapter for an artist who has spent years building toward this moment of truth.

Delve into the quirky and psych-tinged world of Brazilian pianist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Mauricio Fleury.

With more than a hint to Brazilian jazz greats like Azymuth, Deodato and CTI Records in their prime, Revoada is a groove based jazz-framed record, primed with other transitory musical vignettes which touches on Turkish psych and soul-jazz born out of the 70's film soundtrack genre.

Revoada is a 6 track album and storyboard of Mauricio's migration and travels through Brazil's geographical oddities , its rural and urban enclaves. Recorded in Brazil, it's the result of numerous treks through funky flea markets, soaking up old vinyls and vintage cultural artefacts combined with a new life led in Berlin since 2022.

Mauricio, as well as a founding member of Bixiga 70 (google Brazilian Afrobeat pioneers), a band he fronted for over 12 years, is also an in-demand collaborator and musician who as a pianist, guitarist and even percussionist has shared stages and studios with the likes of Brazilian greats including Gal Costa, Emicida, Lucas Santtana, João Donato and Liniker.

In 2007 he had a life-changing experience meeting Tony Allen, at the Red Bull Music Academy. After hanging out, chatting music and life, Tony insisted to Mauricio to participate with Tony in a jam with blacktronica and soulful house music pioneers Ron Trent, Theo Parrish and Steve Spacek. Mauricio sums it up, "From that moment on, I was never afraid to collaborate musically with anyone, no matter who's playing. It also brought me to researching the connection between Brazilian music and Afrobeat which is something that still means the world to me".

Another unforgettable session Mauricio undertook happened alongside João Donato and Marcos Valle, playing Donato's classic album Quem É Quem, live, a record seen as a blueprint for second generation bossa nova. Mauricio has worked with Gal Costa on two albums, Estratosférica Ao Vivo and her last studio album A Pele do Futuro. Fabio Sá and Vitor Cabral (bassist and drummer on Revoada) were playing with Gal at her last concerts, including in Berlin in 2022 before she passed.

In contemporary music, Mauricio was part of Toy Selectah and Mexican Institute of Sound's Compass project. He's worked with Colombia's Los Pirañas and has even recorded a mysterious and unreleased album with Quantic.

Revoada shows signature traces of Thelonious Monk, Ramsey Lewis' swinging soul sound, Deodato's drama, and styles from further afield, spreading into Turkish psych and Ethiopian jazz, when the time is right. Each track, led always by Mauricio playing multiple instruments with a choice selection of guests and core members on bass and drums, highlights Fleury's meticulous approach to finding the right timbre, utilising his arsenal of organs and effects pedals to set the mood, taking the listener to a specific place or memory that has shaped him.

A vinyl DJ for over 25 years and someone who is immersed in digger and collector's culture, Mauricio places a lot of emphasis on the importance of the complimentary relationship between two artforms (DJ and composer/producer) in the sense of having a broad repertoire of musical knowledge, references and perhaps predictably, being a Brazilian, understanding the connection between rhythms. This is an impressive debut album that struts itself right into the runout groove.

Mathias Kaden returns to Rekids with the 'Circulate' EP, featuring a William Kiss Remix.

Mathias Kaden is back on Rekids after 2022’s ‘Blackbird’ EP, this time with the four-track ‘Circulate’ EP featuring a remix from the hotly tipped William Kiss. Kaden’s ‘Freedom’ kicks things off with stripped-back machine rhythm, tasteful stab melodies and a deeply satisfying low-end groove before an iconic gospel vocal joins in. Title track ‘Circulate’ is another infectious low-slung crawler with crunchy synth hits and a hypnotic and classy vibe that will get the dancefloor moving.

On the flip, William Kiss remixes Mathias Kaden’s ‘Freedom’ following his recent EP on Rekids' sibling label RSPX and the release of his collaborative project, Not Without Friends, with Luke Alessi and Jordan Brando on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Rose Avenue. Kiss turns the track into a pumping peak-time cut with additional percussion and plenty of his signature Jackin’
flavour. Closing out the record, Kaden’s ‘Twisting Shadows’ introduces an acidic bassline and warped, dubbed-out vocals before dropping into an energetic trip.

Active since the mid-90s, Mathias Kaden appeared on Radio Slave’s Rekids for the first time in 2019 for ‘Liberate Drums’. He now returns to the label with the ‘Circulate’ EP, adding to his versatile discography on labels like Dyinamic and Vakant while also remixing work by Matthias Tanzmann, Onur Özer, Anja Schneider, and Trentemöller.

Beijinho do Brasil announce their second release with the highly anticipated follow-up from LA-based producer and multi-instrumentalist James Matthew Seven, featuring guest vocals on the A-side by Rio de Janeiro's Fabio Santanna.

Recorded in a small studio on the beach in Oaxaca, Mexico, "Feels Good, Do It" brings to mind a lost recording from Marcos Valle's time with Leon Ware. Funky and soulful with warm Fender Rhodes and a horn section reminiscent of Banda Black Rio, the tune is a breezy, mid-tempo ode to embracing life's pleasures. Originally with vocals in English, the track was translated and re-recorded in Rio de Janeiro by Fabio Santanna. Fabio has a long-established reputation in Brazil as a torchbearer of modern funk and boogie, continuing in the lineage of artists like Robson Jorge and Lincoln Olivetti. But with his releases on labels like Onda Boa and Dippin' Records (which sold out nearly instantly), his international reputation is steadily growing. He has a new 7" due out on Dippin' Records on October 10th, pushing his name to the forefront once again, right on time to generate more buzz for our next 45!

About the flip side, "Ilha Racional" (a nod to Tim Maia's Racional era):
I had this dream where I was in a dive bar discotheque somewhere in the Caribbean. A thick cloud of smoke hung in the air as the selector dropped this bass-heavy bop that had the whole crowd vibing. Then, out of nowhere, in walked Tim Maia with a bag of mushrooms. He proceeded to grab the mic and preach about this alien world of rational energy. Shit was bugged out. When I woke up, James Matthew Seven had sent me this track to check out.

Hiver completes a trilogy of EPs on Gudu with ‘Blue Hell’, another transmission of space-age machine funk from a duo who are truly shaping their own soundworld.

If you’ve followed Hiver, you should know the deal by now: they’ve spent the last decade honing a sound that draws heavily from dance music history – namely the starry-eyed synthesizer funk of classic techno and electro – that drips in colour and emotion without ever feeling retrograde. ‘Blue Hell’ is their third EP for Gudu, and maybe their most accomplished yet.

In Hiver’s words, “this EP was shaped by a mix of late night club energy and the more introspective, melodic ideas we’ve been exploring in the past years. A big part of it also comes from the tension between how people connect today. This constant, hyper-connected flow of networks, media, and online exchanges and our own way of creating music, which is very physical and personal. We’re always bouncing ideas through messages and files, but the real magic still happens when we meet in the studio, face to face. That contrast between digital connection and human presence became a sort of hidden theme behind the EP.”

“With Blue Hell, our third chapter on Gudu, we wanted to capture a moment of clarity, something direct yet still drifting. In a way, this release completes the excursion we began with the first two records: three points that trace the contours of the sounds we’re drawn to. Each track feels like a fragment of that journey, grounded in rhythm but always leaning toward depth and escape.”

What can be said about Joey Beltram’s ‘Energy Flash’ that hasn’t be said already! The track still gets rinsed, week in, week out, across radio stations, clubs and festivals, testimony to the sheer importance of this techno classic.

Released originally in 1990 on the R&S Records label, ‘Beltram Vol. 1’ included the aforementioned ‘Energy Flash’, alongside three equally ground-breaking dance tracks that possibly get overshadowed by the big lead track. But tracks like ‘Subsonic Bass’ broke the mould and went on to influence a raft of rave and drum ‘n’ bass tunes, thanks in part to its use of the now legendary ‘hoover’ bass sound. The sinister acid of ‘Jazz 3033’ still sounds as fresh today as it did 33 years ago, and the menacingly titled ‘Psycho Bass’ reveals the EP’s most passive moment, as its solid breakbeat cuts through ethereal tones and chugging synths.

‘Beltram Volume 1’ has been remastered by Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven Mastering, and the release comes in an updated sleeve, faithfully recreating the 1990 packaging.

In 2016, a year after the 50th entry in the long-running series, none other but the iconic Detroit artist, DJ and producer Moodymann stepped up to helm the next landmark edition of DJ-Kicks, his first ever multi-artist DJ mix compilation. Following !K7's 40 th anniversary, this classic DJ-Kicks mix is now being repressed on coke bottle clear vinyl.
Born Kenny Dixon Jr., Moodymann is a one-of-a-kind electronic music icon, hailing from, and wholly synonymous with the Motor City. He is an outspoken, impossibly charismatic artist who has been putting a distinctive and soulful stamp on house and techno since the early 90s. Melting together jazz, funk, soul, blues and rock in captivating ways, he is responsible for some of electronic music’s most definitive tracks, EPs and LPs on labels like Planet E, Peacefrog and his own KDJ and Mahogani Music imprints. As able to serve up the sweetest and most sensual sounds as he is the darkest and most depraved grooves, his own unique voice and stream of conscious musings infuse expertly sought-out samples for music that is decisively alive and authentic.

Across 75 minutes and 30 tracks, Moodymann does not disappoint: despite being a notorious vinyl fetishist, Dixon’s aim is to present music of quality, not to one-up fellow collectors. A vinyl soundtrack for GQuuuuuuX (Geku Axe) is now available!

"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is a new Gundam series, a collaboration between Studio Khara, the creators of the "Evangelion" series,
and Sunrise, the creators of the Gundam series. The pre-release theatrical version was released in January of this year, becoming a huge hit,
grossing approximately 3.4 billion yen and attracting over 2.06 million viewers.
The TV broadcast began in April, and it became one of the most talked-about anime titles of the spring.
A vinyl record featuring a selection of the soundtrack from "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," including the music used in the pre-release theatrical
version, is now available. The music was co-produced by Junsei Terui, known as a member of the bands "Haisui no Nasa" and "siraph" and
Masayuki Hasuo, also a member of "siraph," and composer of the anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" series and the live-action film "Showtime Seven"

Burna Boy was born Damini Ogulu in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, in 1991 and began making music at just ten years old. As a teenager he honed his craft on Nigeria’s southern coast, delving into dancehall, reggae and Afrobeat’s. In the early 2010s Burna Boy emerged as one of Nigeria’s fastest-rising stars, combining influences from his Nigerian heritage with hook-filled pop stylings to create unforgettable tracks. His 2012 single ‘Like to Party’ broke into the global mainstream and paved the way for his full-length debut L.I.F.E, a year later.



Over the next five years, Burna Boy released two more albums and collaborated with a long list of high-profile artists including J Hus, Skales, Fall Out Boy and Lily Allen. First up Jamie Jones marks Hot Creations’ 15th Anniversary with solo return with this year’s anthem: “Murder Mystery. His first solo release on Hot Creations since 2022’s ‘Bionic Boy’ EP, it’s a track designed to move, mesmerize, and captivate with every listen. Rolling basslines, intricate percussion, and a subtle tension pulse beneath the playful surface, making it a record built for late nights, festival main stages, and intimate spaces alike. It’s a statement of intent, and a reminder of why Jamie’s groove-driven productions continue to set the standard for house music worldwide. Next up Darius Syrossian returns to Hot Creations with ‘Bass In Ya Face’, featuring Cortez Walls is a driving, bass-fuelled floor-filler that combines weighty low-end grooves with hooky vocals.

On the flip, Joe Rolét makes his Hot Creations debut with this summer’s underground anthem. Enter: ‘No Hesitating’, the definition of a bassline mover. Stacked with rave-ready pressure and designed for full dancefloor impact, it’s a cut that has already been road-tested to devastating effect by Rolét himself alongside names such as Chris Stussy, Max Dean, and the Hot Creations head honcho himself, quickly becoming one of the most sought-after IDs of the year. Finally Manchester’s AJ Christou is back on Hot Creations with the incredibly infectious: ‘Bang Bang’, which leads with crisp percussion, slinky grooves, and a hook that’s been igniting AJ’s sets worldwide.

It’s been over 20 years since Kenny Dixon Jr., better known as Moodymann, released Black Mahogani—an album rich in atmosphere and emotion, offering a quintessential journey through deep house, soul, and jazz. Timeless yet modern, it’s an immersive and emotionally resonant experience that reflects the singular character of Detroit’s deep musical heritage.

Originally released in 2004, Black Mahogani is arguably one of Moodymann’s most revered and sought-after works. It completes the puzzle laid out by his rare and elusive KDJ 12” releases from the mid to late '90s. With the help of Detroit legends like the late Amp Fiddler, Roberta Sweed, and Norma Jean Bell, Dixon infused his analog soundscapes and samples with a new organic warmth—expanding the deep house genre while simultaneously paying homage to 1970s soul and cinematic soundtracks.

Dixon’s masterful control of tension—knowing exactly when to hold back and when to let go—makes Black Mahogani an enduring masterpiece. It's not just a landmark in electronic music, but a definitive statement in 21st-century Black American music.

Following his debut EP God Iz Enough, South London artist Tomi Ahmedeus unveils “Sereniti Praya” a striking new chapter that deepens his sonic identity. Once again collaborating with Grammy Award-winning engineer IRKO, Ahmedeus crafts an immersive soundscape where brutalist textures, cinematic layers, and visceral rhythms converge. At it's core, Sereniti Praya is both dance driven and emotionally resonant: intricate sampling and percussive detail form the cadence of a project that speaks to love, loss, and self-discovery.

It is a record that moves between the personal and the ephemeral, designed as much for reflective listening as for the energy of the dance floor.

Mit Secret Love legt die Londoner Band Dry Cleaning ihr bislang reifstes Werk vor. Das dritte Studioalbum, produziert von Cate Le Bon, ist eine konzentrierte Momentaufnahme der besonderen Chemie zwischen Florence Shaw, Tom Dowse, Nick Buxton und Lewis Maynard. Dan Piu wrote this album during the "dark, dystopian times" of the last year. The record's themes take in nature, human life, sci-fi, cyborgs and plenty in between with opener 'Tru Confession' being a robust house track stacked with throwback breaks, futuristic synths and old school vocals. There is a real warmth and soul to the machine sounds of 'Un-X-Plored Exodus' while a certain sense of 90s New York house colours 'Upgrade System M59'. 'System Of Ethics' shows off a fine mastery of synth craft that brims with emotion and 'Asteroid Blues' is like a lost Kerri Chandler cut. Essential.

French house mainstay Franck Roger has been cooking up timeless, deep sounds for decades and right now he is in a superb run of form. Seasons Limited is where he lands next with more of his signature sounds. 'Exodus' opens with a fat, warped bassline and far-sighted chords that hark back to early Detroit. 'Sokette' is much more dusty and minimal, and again has echoes of artists like Omar-S from the Motor City. 'Push It' is a more elastic groove with some aching vocal hooks and diffuse chord work to make this perfect for the late-night sessions.
