Earthly Measures are proud to present the release of ‘El Búho - Cumbias Imaquinarias’, this time on wax with some added remixes.

'Cumbias Imaquinarias' is an EP that flows full circle with one of El Búho’s earliest inspirations for making electronic music; digital Cumbia. It was a scene that exploded out of Buenos Aires around 2008 and went global. The scene soon saturated and fell out of fashion, but gave birth to artists like Chancha Via Circuito, Frikstailers, El Remolon and was a big inspiration for him as a young producer.

For El Búho there was always something there; the entrancing magic of the Cumbia rhythm reimagined for the electronic dancefloor. Cumbia is a music that is globally connected but also so diverse, evolving and growing into many subshoots of this one simple rhythm. This EP presents three Cumbia’s and one Porro rhythm (a derivation of the Cumbia rhythm from the Colombian Caribbean which evolved into its own style).

Joining El Búho on remix duties for this release are ARN4L2, Lagartijeando, Auntie Flo, La Jungla, Earthly Measures x Dreems, La Forasteria and Sun Sone. Each artist offering a completely unique approach and their own magic touch to this El Búho masterpiece.

The result are 3 reworks in various styles. The first track ;Canto De Alright' is what we call a "transition mix" where we go from house to hip hop and back to house, a proper club tool.

Last but not least Nas gets a stompin' boogie treatment that just works.

Brooklyn’s Broad Channel drops its first-ever collaborative release, “Intercity Relations Guide – Volume 1”. This special 4-track EP bridges vibrant underground scenes from NYC, Chicago, Detroit, and Japan, featuring tracks from Mark Grusane, Deon Jamar, DJ Monchan & Aota, and Derek Russo & Thomas Xu. Born out of a moment of inspiration in the fall of 2024 after returning from Japan, label founder Derek Russo envisioned this release as a bridge – linking the warm relationships built at home & abroad that were nurtured over years of DJing, producing, and hosting underground parties like Xoloft in
Brooklyn. The EP flows across a chugging tempo range, between 113 and 120 BPM, It’s a reflection of the label’s core ethos and catalog to date: genre-blurring and always rooted in the dancefloor.

THEE ALLYRGIC REACTION are a fuzz'n'Farfisa-powered 60's garage punk outfit from San Diego, CA USA! While they specialize in fuzz stompahs that will move your feet, they will also melt yer mynd with minor key psych madness! They are also leaders in the emerging "protest garage" scene, with songs that address the import topics of today's over aged teen scene!They have a maraca-breaking wyld live set, but also managed to sit still long enough to record their debut LP for Soundflat Records As every band does, they argued over the title for the LP, and finally settled on one that NO ONE likes, simply, "Thee Allyrgic Reaction"! All four lads grew up in the 80s Charmkin Scene, witnessing first-hand groups like the Unclaimed, The Primates, The Miracle Workers, The Tell- Tale Hearts, The Cynics, The Gruesome, Lyres, The Chesterfield Kings, The Fleshtones and The Brood! (and about a 100 more not named here!) The boys are THRILLED with their new LP on Soundflat, which was recorded over a two day period, and required nine California burritos, three pizzas, two cases of beer, and several cans of wine.

The record features 11 original compositions, as well as their own version of their favourite UNCLAIMED-song. One of the originals is an ode to Peter Maniette of the Crimson Shadows and Wylde Mammoths. So what do they sound like? They certainly pull from the farfisa'n'fuzz blasters of the past, but also employ some 12 string, harpsichord, harp and a few other surprises. They are a little folk, a little psych and LOT of garage punk! The group records at Earthling Studios in the San Diego area, which features an array of vintage gear, including an 8- track from Sunset Sound that was used on Forever Changes. That's how you say "MO-JO"!!!

UK death metal gods Cancer burst onto the UK extreme metal scene over thirty five years ago, & quickly amassed a strong global following over the course of their early careers which later resulted in a stint with major label EastWest under Warner Music. After a period of inactivity, Cancer returned for 2018's Peaceville debut, 'Shadow Gripped', followed up by 2025's new opus, 'Inverted World'. 'To The Gory End' was Cancer's debut studio album & was released in 1990. Along with sophomore opus 'Death Shall Rise', 'To The Gory End' became a firm genre classic with its influential display of sonic savagery containing fittingly shocking topics to match.

The album swiftly established Cancer as one of the highlights of the rising UK death metal scene alongside such bands as Bolt Thrower & Carcass. 'To The Gory End' was recorded at Loco Studios in the winter of 1989, with legendary producer Scott Burns (Death, Obituary, Sepultura) overseeing the recording & also mixing duties, which subsequently took place at Morrisound in Florida, itself synonymous with the creation of many classics of the genre. The album also notably features a guest appearance by John Tardy of Obituary on the track 'Die Die'. This edition of 'To The Gory End' marks the album's 35th anniversary & is presented on limited red galaxy vinyl.

A noughties classic, an earworming anthem, an eventual schoolyard ringtone favourite; Roman Flügel’s once inescapable ‘Geht’s Noch?’ celebrates turning 21 on Running Back, refreshed and remixed by a scene-spanning set of artists paying keen tribute to its absurdist energy.
Casually released as part of a Cocoon Records compilation in 2004, ‘Geht’s Noch?’ rose from the depths with the support of Sven Väth, becoming an international phenomenon, conquering and uniting the dominant scenes of minimal and electroclash alike. Some have said it laid the foundations for the ‘Dirty Dutch’
house scene, albeit from over the border in Germany.
Well known for injecting much-needed levity into the contemporary club landscape via her Live From Earth parties, DJ Gigola adds additional firepower to ‘Geht’s Noch?’, inducing a planet-shaking kick drum, before sending the track’s signature bleeps into nonsensical Morse code for even greater pleasure. Another rave
culture connoisseur, Luca Lozano, offers two alternate takes; his ‘Technocs’ mix rolls deep with additional cowbells, robotic voice commands and stadium-sized claps. Meanwhile, the ‘Gehts Garage Remix’ draws a savvy connection with the original’s as-yet-untapped UK funky potential.
Peder Mannerfelt, who straddles the line between innovation, functionality, humor and seriousness quite like its original author, takes ‘Geht’s Noch?’ to truly wuthering heights. His remix builds unexpected drama and catharsis around the enduring riff, before a collaboration with studio partner Par Grindvik as Aasthma
spins the club out with a glossy, anime-tinted take, full of whimsy and colour.
And while the digital release of Geht’s Noch? also spans interpretations from Audion, Domnik Eulberg & Moguai, this vinyl release presses Steve Angello vs Who’s Who remix to wax, that which helped take ‘Geht’s Noch?’ out of the underground and into the stratosphere. Twenty years on, and Flügel’s offbeat hit is
always ascending. Love it or hate it, ‘Geht’s Noch?' will still get you good.

Prepare yourself to be amazed by these two stunning Peruvian cumbias by two central figures of the Amazonian music scene: Ranil y su Conjunto Tropical and Los Wembler’s de Iquitos. Their recordings of the classic ‘Sonido Amazónico’ are packed with psychedelic guitars and hard-hitting percussions. First time 45 reissue. Raúl Llerena, aka Ranil, was one of the central figures of the Amazonian music scene. Based in Iquitos, he founded his own record label –Producciones Llerena– and shaped what is now known as the psychedelic sound of Amazonian cumbia. The few LPs and 45s released on his label are legendarily hard to find, let alone the condition… Some of them were issued under the name Ranil y su Conjunto Tropical. They recorded this hypnotic and percussive version of ‘Sonido amazónico’ that was released as an LP-only track. We're now pleased to release it for the first time as a 45, to the delight of DJs and 7”s collectors. On the flipside we find Los Wembler’s de Iquitos, responsible for some of the most popular songs of the psychedelic cumbia genre, including the outstanding ‘Sonido Amazónico’. Kryptograf has carved out a distinct niche by fusing the raw, heavy sounds of late 60s / early 70s rock with the intensity and aggression that doom metal and stoner rock are known for. Their upcoming third album marks an evolution in their sound, with a deepened focus on melody and dynamic songwriting without sacrificing their core intensity. The A-side carries a distinct "Scandi-rock" flavor, while the B-side's darker, doom-laden tracks suggest they're leaning even further into heavier, moodier depths. Kryptograf's unmistakable, collective vocal delivery and riff style ensure this album will retain their signature sound while showcasing a mature, nuanced approach to the genre. Windy City collective Future Rootz are all about mixing up worldly electronic sounds, Latin, tropical bass and global jazz. This second volume in their new series does just that with two expressive remixes of iconic Afro-Colombian tracks. On Side A, Sound Culture delivers a modern take on Son Palenque's legendary 'A Pila el Arroz,' which was originally composed by Justo Valdez for Palenque Records. He infuses it with fresh and bubbly bass and hypnotic vocal chants. On side-B, Afroqbano reimagines 'Tropical Scenes' by adding a vibrant, rhythm-heavy twist to the original that sympathetically blends traditional Afro-Colombian sounds with electronic influences into a wiggling bit of irresistible and sunny global fusion.

The promise of a Florry show, a now familiar caravan that has been honed over ambitiously trekked zig zags across America and Europe since the release of Dear Life Records debut The Holey Bible, is the redemptive promise and prodigal joy of rock and roll guitar music. Bred in the crackling warmth of the Philadelphia DIY scene, and forged with the alloys of community action, queer liberation and bedroom poetry, bandleader Francie Medosch and her absolute unit of collaborators have put in the work of sharpening their homespun tools to take up the mantle of the great lip-puckering rock and roll tradition pioneered by the likes of The Band and the Rolling Stones, but with proudly displayed Aimee Mann and Yo La Tengo bumper stickers on the rusty frame of the truck. At any second, the wheels could come off but they are steering just fine. For 'Sounds Like' Florry's sophomore effort as a fully realized band, Medosch and co. decamped to Drop of Sun studios in the nest of the Blue Ridge Mountains to record with Asheville wunderkind Colin Miller, a critical voice behind the records of MJ Lenderman, Wednesday and Merce Lemon and a powerful songwriter in his own right. Three powerhouse days in late 2023 solidified writing work done by the band earlier that summer in the now defunct Haw Creek compound under Miller's guiding suggestion. The result is a portrait of a ripping band cresting towards the height of their powers, uniquely equipped to capture a wildly loving, barn-burning camcorder clip of a turbulent trip with your best friends, without dipping into nostalgia bait. Lyrically, Medosch's utterances are both careful and excessive, the product of sifting through the rubble of classic good-time media, and finding what works for both her and her community to reach the heights of abandon. "The Jackass theme song was actually a really big influence on the new album" The expansive personnel and continent spanning footprint of Florry casts a wide net for this community. Florry the band rolls deep in the heard of North American DIY, featuring Jon Cox (Sadurn, Son of Barb) on pedal steel, John Murray on electric guitar, Collin Dennen on bass, Will Henriksen on fiddle, Katya Malison (Doll Spirit Vessel) on Vox, and Joey Sullivan (Bark Culture) on drums. Medosch's recent move to Burlington Vermont entrenches the Philly born project firmly within the ranks of fellow alt-country upstarts Lily Seabird and Greg Freeman, and gives them a vantage just outside of Pennsylvania at the thresholds of New England and the Midwest. There is a new life breathed into this music that confirms Florry as equally rooted in place work, and at home on the vast roads of America. For listeners who fell in love with Florry's infectious charm on sweeping tours with the likes of Kurt Vile, Real Estate, MJ Lenderman, Greg Freeman and Fust, 'Sounds Like', provides a refreshing memento of the band that surely left them smiling. In the vibrant streets of Tembisa, South Africa, amidst the sprawling urbanity connecting Johannesburg and Pretoria, the story of Moskito began. Formed in 2001 by Mahlubi "Shadow" Radebe and the late Zwelakhe "Malemon" Mtshali, the group first emerged as a powerhouse of pantsula dancers. However, their undeniable passion for music soon led them down a new path_ one that would cement their place in kwaito history. Spending countless hours on the street corners of their township, where they were born and raised, Shadow and Malemon danced and sang with an infectious energy that attracted crowds. It wasn't long before the duo decided to channel their talents into a kwaito group, and after adding friends Patrick Lwane and Menzi Dlodlo, Moskito was born. (Pantsula dancing emerged in the 1950s among Black South Africans in townships and continually evolved until it became intertwined with kwaito music culture. The stylized, rapid foot movements and characteristic low-dancing became associated with kwaito as it took over South African urban culture into the early 2000s.) With limited resources, the group displayed immense creativity, recording demos using two cassette decks and instrumental tracks from other artists. They would rap and sing over an instrumental playing on one deck while the second deck records their performance. Their determination paid off when they submitted their demo to Tammy Music Publishers, who were captivated by Moskito's style. "Kwaito was the thing `in' at the time. If you did music you did kwaito. We wanted to fit in and actually it was easy," says Radebe. "We didn't have engineers in the group, so the first time in a real studio was with Percy and Thami to record Idolar." That same year, the group released their debut album, Idolar, under Tammy Music. The album was an undeniable success reaching gold status selling over 25,000 units and earning them a devoted fan base across South Africa and neighboring countries like Botswana, Swaziland, Namibia and Zimbabwe. Moskito collaborated with industry legends such as Chilly Mthiya Tshabalala, who was known for his work with Thiza and Spoke "H." They drew inspiration from Thami Mdluli a.k.a Professor Rhythm, who had dominated the disco scene back in the 80s and 90s. Mdluli helped with musical arrangements and executive produced the album and signed on producer-engineer Percy Mudau, while Shadow and Malemon took pride in composing most of their songs. Like many of the rising kwaito artists of the time, they didn't have music production or engineering backgrounds so they required support from engineers together their ideas down on tape. They were inspired from South African kwaito icons like Trompies, Mdu, Mandoza, and Arthur Mafokate, alongside international heavyweights like Snoop Doggy Dogg, Dr. Dre, 2Pac, and R. Kelly, Moskito created a sound that was uniquely theirs_a perfect blend of local flavor and global influence.

More than 20 years after their debut, Witchcraft's seventh album, 'IDAG,' is an awaited full accounting of who they are as a band. Those who have clamored for the return to an earlier sound rooted in '70s classic progressive and heavy rock will delight to the strut of "Irreligious Flamboyant Flame" while the eight-minute opening title-track is the heaviest the band have ever sounded, and a succession of interspersed acoustic-based pieces helps create a vision of a new, soulfully folkish doom taking shape as they continue to move inexorably forward. Founding guitarist/vocalist, Magnus Pelander, says of 'IDAG': "This album will reap souls and destroy wicked minds. And perhaps mend a couple of broken ones." These enigmatic few words from the Swedish band's main songwriter give clues as to the songs' intentions; a reference dropped to Coven's 1969 album, 'Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls.' Coven also had a folkish, proto-doomed take at that point in their history, and that multifaceted nature has been a part of Witchcraft all along. On one level, Magnus is winkingly telling you it's a Witchcraft record. The actual meaning of that becomes clear when you hear the album and find out just how much 'a Witchcraft record' can encompass. The storyline of Witchcraft's growth, from Pelander's starting the band in Örebro in 2000 in the wake of his prior outfit Norrsken's disbanding. A generational landmark of a 2004 self-titled debut helped spark a retroist movement that has become its own subgenre, but Witchcraft never stopped growing. 2005's 'Firewood' and 2007's 'The Alchemist' introduced more progressive sounds, and five years later, the pointedly modern 'Legend' established in 2012 that they had moved beyond the analog worship they had been a part of pioneering within the contemporary heavy rock and doom scene. In 2016, the 2LP 'Nucleus' introduced fuller-toned doom, and 2020's 'Black Metal' diverged into moody acoustic minimalism familiar to some fans from Pelander's early solo work, but different from anything Witchcraft had done prior. 'IDAG,' then, is the tie that draws all of this - more than two decades of exploring and growth - together. Whatever they've done in the past and whatever they'll do in the future, 'IDAG' feels like a nexus for defining who and what Witchcraft are. Even crazier, that might be the point of the thing. 'Heartstrings' is the fourth album from London-based Snowpoet, led by the creative partnership of Lauren Kinsella and Chris Hyson Since their debut EP in 2014, the band has built a devoted audience drawn to their emotionally rich songwriting, intricate production, and distinct sonic identity. t's been a half century since Pavlov's Dog burst onto the burgeoning progressive rock scene of the early 1970s. Hailing from the city of St. Louis, Missouri, their heady blend of rock, classical and folk music turned them into cult legends. The band has seen lots of lineup changes and internal turmoil over the years, leading to extended breaks between album releases. But today, David Surkamp - lead singer, main songwriter and last remaining original member of Pavlov's Dog - continues to fly the banner high, accompanied by an accomplished group of musicians that is a credit to the band's good name. For decades, Pavlov's Dog's "lost album" - "Has Anyone Here Seen Siegfried?" - recorded in St. Louis in 1977 - was available only in inferior quality. With the rediscovery of the master tapes several years ago, it became possible to hear the album as originally intended. Tensions within the band had reached the boiling point as they entered the studio and would lead to a breakup soon thereafter.
