After These Hidden Hands re-surfaced earlier this year with the collaborative single These Moments Dismantled featuring Lucrecia Dalt, Tommy Four Seven and Alain Paul a.k.a. Shards are set to release Vicarious Memories, their second full length LP, on August 8th 2016. Vicarious Memories builds substantially upon the sound forged with their debut album and brings a considerable new level of detail, complexity, and musicality, which ranges from flowing mellifluous grooves, somber drones, to the outright bizarre and unexpected. Although loosely an instrumental electronic album, the album makes extensive use of guitar and vocals and features prominent guest vocal contributions from underground Berlin based musicians Julia Kotowski and Ale Hop. Following the release of 2015's Animistas album on Mindtours, Steevio returns with the fourth and final volume in the Modular Techno series after starting the project in 2012.
Initially conceived as he moved his studio practice towards a purely outboard, analogue, modular synthesiser set up, the Modular Techno series has charted the development of Steevio's exploration of this working practice both on record and on stage. The work involved in live appearances across the UK and Europe over the past four years have fed into the creative process, with rehearsals for sets often yielding the material that has ended up on vinyl.
Volume 4 is arguably the darkest instalment in the series to date, dealing in a strict economy of minimalist rhythms and off-key melodic touches while still easily identified as the unmistakable tones and distinctive grooves of Steevio. In the grand tradition of techno as visionary music, the dystopian tone that lingers throughout Modular Techno Vol 4 points to a future of uncertainty, but this is far from nihilistic music; always within the darkness remains a glimmer of hope.

Welcome to the second release on a new record label, Real Balearic. We are record label based in Ibiza and London. We were set up by the team who brought you the world famous "Real Ibiza" series of compilations and released the very first "Cafe Del Mar" compilation. We are passionate about music and in particular music with a thread that runs to the musical sounds of Ibiza and the Balearic islands. Whilst we may "chill out" with the best of them it is not what we are all about. Balearic techno, Balearic disco, Ambient soundscapes, Classical interludes, Sun-drenched chords, Sunset grooves, Moon-washed rhythms... and just about anything that grabs us...

Following on from our first release from Ibiza Balearic legend Jose Padilla we follow things up with a second release also brimming with sunshine and optimism. Here we harness the Balearic spirit with a brand new track from the San Francisco based producer Sorcerer (also known as Dan Judd). His release becomes our first vinyl release and the first opportunity to see our brand new vinyl house bag artwork.

The original of "Video Magic" has the trademark shimmering guitar lines and chords, bags of lazy-afternoon groove and that all important summertime swing.

First up on remix duties is downtempo and chillout DJ, tastemaker, broadcaster and overlord Chris Coco. He nudges the groove up ever so slightly with his beach front evening re-rub. Perfect for sunset moments.

With a 5 track single it is nice to touch all bases and Slovenian based Ichisan covers the leftfield and slightly quirky version with his remix. His remix moves along with his usual mix of ponderous bass guitar and analogue synth effects. South American Daniel Solar cranks the pace a touch more with his beach disco evening time excursion. As a finale and one final crank on the energy index, the Italian based duo Irregular Disco Workers deliver their peak time disco house stomper. Sweet.

Our next release is by a young Brussels based artist that will be a new name to most of you.
Foreign Material has been into music since his youth. After studying percussions at the Conservatory and graduating in history, his interest in dark atmospheres led him to techno music. The spirit of his music is a mix of ancient myths and futuristic visions. Conceptual music, both mystical and cosmic, with a link between past and future. Here's what he had to say about his EP:
"'Omega System' is a journey to deep space and beyond, to the unknown destinations allowed by the mythical and mysterious Omega relay that's been turning around Omega's red sun since ages. But beware, the path that you will follow is dangerous and nobody ever came back. Some say that you will find death. Others that you will find great treasures. But some wise people think you will finally find Truth."
On remix duties are label friends Hiver, also known for their residency at Milan's Dude Club. Whereas the original tracks are more deep and floating, the Hiver remixes will be of high interest to many a dancefloor, you can trust us on that one.

This special release revisits classic Brothers' Vibe tunes, edits and a never before released on vinyl track. Kicking off proceedings is the 1989 gem "I Ain't Gonna Wait". An early Brothers' Vibe piece and massive underground anthem! Brothers' Vibe distinctive gritty style of groovy house takes us on a hypnotic journey into uncharted territory. Melody and percussion interchange amongst a framework of zippy synths and sinuous kicks. Released under the moniker Silent Rodgerz, the second track "Infractions" saw the light of day back in 2008 solely in digital format on a MixxRecords compilation. Low slung with an acid influence, the cut reveals a distinctly natural groove lead by the classic bassline. The final track is the definition of a house classic!! Featuring echoing words of the great Maya Angelou, "Words To a Nation" exudes a timeless quality, unveiling a masterpiece which stays firmly in your head...

After nearly a year of studio silence, the painfully mysterious Berlin-based stalwart DJ trio ItaloJohnson announces its latest batch of unbelievable limited-edition, hand- stamped black label vinyls since - Too Deep Underground wowed nightclubs around the world in spring 2015. ITJ10's two tracks are equally liable to ravage dance floors in big rooms and intimate clubs alike with rave-ready stabs on the A-side, a throbbing bass groove on the B-side and typically expert drums throughout. Who needs Facebook, Twitter or SoundCloud when you've got the magic recipe to supreme, banging house and techno DJ tools

Canadian based label Eternal Drive Recordings is proud to present it's first vinyl release by Jay Zoney titled "Workhorse" with remixes by Audio Injection & Axkan.

This is the label's eleventh digital release and first to be cut on vinyl featuring two original tracks from label boss Jay Zoney. Jay's productions have picked up previous support from artists including Ben Sims, D.A.V.E. the drummer, Bas Mooy, Speedy J, Sam Paganini, Joseph Capriati and Gary Beck.

On remix duty is Los Angeles native David Flores, who takes on the EP's title track under his Audio Injection alias, where many people will also know him as Truncate. Between his two aliases this heavyweight producer has racked up an impressive back catalogue of labels including CLR, Mote-Evolver, Affin, 50 Weapons, Figure and Gynoid Audio to mention only a handful.

Also featured as a remix artist is Federico Sánchez aka Axkan originally from Mexico, now calls California his home. His dark, experimental and edgy sounds have landed his tracks on the likes of Morgan Tomas' Reloading Records to Israel Toledo's Assassin Soldier and many more.

First on the EP is the title track 'Workhorse,' which true to its name is steady and relentless. A kick drum that stamps like heavy hooves on concrete gives it a powerful sound. The fast flowing percussion is brought to life with startling rips and synth stabs that grunt with determination and grit. This industrial workhorse delivers the goods every time with expert precision and perfect timing.

The second track is titled 'Mr. Ed' shows Jay Zoney's acid roots. Industrial like the first track, it's hard hitting with a rolling acid line that wriggles and twists as the track progresses. It has an intensely powerful clap with sharp hi-hats and a shuddering bass sound that when combined give it an infectious throwback groove.

Third on the release is the Audio Injection remix of Workhorse, and although dark like the original, it's less industrial overall. Opting for his own spacey percussion and bassline David (Audio Injection) creates a rolling groove packed with forward momentum. With the addition of a half bar synth hook and rising pad sound, this remix is powered by a prominent off beat hi-hat which makes it both hypnotic, euphoric and menacing.

Finishing off the release is a rework of Workhorse by Axkan whose rippling remix is both eerie and mysterious. Loaded by a grinding synth sound which echoes round the mix to create the feeling of open space, his remix starts off four to the floor, but with an unexpected shift morphs into a more broken rhythm. Building in intensity, this pulsating masterpiece has mechanical qualities and a truly individual sound.

In 2015 beging Ostgut Ton das zehnjährige Label-Jubiläum, gefeiert wurde mit einer 30 Stücke starken Compilation, Ostgut Ton-Zehn betitelt, verteilt über zehn 12' Vinyl in einem limitierten Boxset. Dieser Sampler war ruckzuck ausverkauft, weshalb diese zehn 12"es nun in 2016 von Ostgut Ton einzeln wiederaufgelegt werden.

Es sei gesagt, dass Ostgut Ton stets mehr als nur ein House- und Techno-Label war - Zehn-Sechs ist eine Reflektion der musikalischen Vielfalt. Der Titel der Barker & Baumecker A-Seite 'Love Is A Battlefield' ist eine schöne Anspielung auf Pat Benatar und Pop einerseits, während musikalisch eher abstrakte UK Breakbeats und arpeggiertes Terrain über die Länge dieses verspielten Zehnminüters abgeschritten werden.

Die B-Seite beginnt mit Uwe Schmidt als Atom™. - Stromlinien' ist natürlich eine tolle Klammer seines reduzierten aber sich clever entfaltenden und pumpenden Analogsynth-Dub Techno-Stücks. Anthony Parasoles - Heartbeat' schert sich herzlich wenig um unsere menschliche, lahme BPM-Herzschlagrate und widmet sich lieber einer schnellen, muskulösen Kick um die 132 BPM, umkreist von tribalistischen und verdrahteten Elementen um den Groove zu komplementieren.

All 4 tracks on AZMyellow have been slashing dancefloors all over the world via Azimute and few select friends for a while. Mammamia delivers Azimutes trademark minimalistic Techno sound with slick Reverberated snares and a relentless bassline to boot. On A2. Blizz' is beautiful piece of rolling Dub Techno with sultry strings that wash over the track and makes it complete. Meanwile on the flip side track B1. entitled Egonot is a stripped , Sci-Fi affair with a skipping drum groove & atmospherics running alongside pulsating synths flourishes and hypnotic vocal murmurs. Finally on B2.Amoreux is focused on a more melodic sound, expansive strings and pads are layered alongside an infectious metallic drum groove. If you love it underground and dub, this one's for you.

Beautifully Designed 1LP, 180g Vinyl Press kit: Following his Extended Play EP on Other People last year, Jream House is the turbulent and spiritual debut LP of Mark Hurst aka A Pleasure. Blending mathematical composition with an unrestrained studio experimentalism, the sound of A Pleasure charts a space where formative influences confront the most immediate performative impulse. Using a process of numerical transposition, the names of personally significant bands and composers are converted into drum patterns. He then lets loose, improvising around these structures with a variety of traditional and unorthodox instruments: bass and guitar, bowed cymbals, drum machines juggled like turntables, blowtorch on aluminium, to name but a few. With his influences as start-points, he builds rhythmic structures literally in their namesake, blasting their hulls with walls of noise, monolithic basslines and any other jam-yielded shrapnel. Despite the chaos and complexity of the process, the results sound neither clinical, nor garbled. The tracks always find their way to an emotive melody or strong groove. Lush guitar strums and yearning keys ride the high-speed beat of Slow Channel", which seems to soar through cloud-cover as one snaking mass. The Order of Things' folds a cosmic guitar-part into a backdrop of heavily side-chained noise. Arthur Russell' features a neck-snapping rim-shot and crushed snare that splash up the bits of an elegiac vocal part. Through violent and idyllic atmospheres, Jream House jettisons its inspirations like landing shuttles, always in search of new ground. These are songs, not just experiments.

'Sidetracking - Part 1: Prologue' is the first vinyl taste of Jona's de- but album project for Alex Niggemann's forward-thinking AEON la-bel. The musical puzzle will be completed in February 2016 with the release of a second vinyl instalment, featuring 6 more original tracks, and the full 10-track album on CD format. Created over the course of two highly creative years, the concept for 'Sidetracking' was for Jona to invite some of his musician and producer friends to collaborate with him in the studio and compli- ment his album's solo productions. This impressive coming together (to be fully revealed over the coming months) features Varoslav (Rue de Plaisance, Paris), Usio (Studio Barnhus), David K (Cocoon), Bo- livian percussionist Daniel Aguilar, Italian pianist Giovanni Verga, and Edinburgh-based producer The Reverse Engineer. Driven by his desire to explore new sound perspectives and ideas, Jona has carefully forged his career path by consistently creating exciting and forward-thinking music. His previous label outings: 'Traffic' on 'Lost Tapes Volume 1' (AEON010) and 'Gemini EP' (AE- ON016) have seen him fine-tune his own unique sound. By incor- porating a wide range of styles into his tracks, Jona strives to break down unnecessary boundaries and explores new ideas and ways to ignite that hallowed dancefloor flame. It is therefore no wonder that his collaborative creations for 'Sidetracking' have yielded such stimulating aural delights. Fittingly, the album prologue opens with a track whose style is heav- ily influenced by the jazz music that Jona was so in love with dur- ing his formative years. Calling on the somewhat mysterious Usio (whose 'Kuwa Huru' LP on Studio Barnhus should be checked by everyone) to join him in a studio jam, has resulted in 'The Chase', an utterly compelling afro-beat influenced percussive groove, topped with swirling funk-fuelled stabs and strings, mesmerising chiming piano, and a large helping of pure, hip-swinging goodness. Taking 'The Chase' on an entirely different and yet perfectly com- plimentary twisted trip, AEON family members Simone Sinatti and Marco Paladin (aka Speaking Minds) conjure up a futuristic technoid disco demon that is all about throbbing energy, sweat, darkness and hissing smoke machines - perfect ingredients for an unforget- table strobelight serenade. Changing the mood entirely and cutting the tempo to a dublicious skank, 'Transmission Breakdown' sees Jona's experimental creative juices in full flow, as he teams up with Edinburgh-based digital com- poser and sound artist Dave House (aka The Reverse Engineer) for a delightfully hazy downtempo jam. Both as an artist and a DJ, Manchester's Marcus Intalex has been at the forefront of soulful, musical drum & bass for what seems like forever. A passion for techno has always run deeply through his music and under his Trevino moniker he is also a powerful creative force (check his recent 'Front' album to get the full picture). The tracks on this 2 X 12" received some special individual treatment which I hope you'll enjoy listening to or playing in your local disco as much as I did making the. Box Saga has been a firm favourite of mine for a good 20 years already and although it's baggy pants and loose groove is exactly why I love it so much I thought it would be fun to do a slightly different take on it.

Ü is a recent fave of mine but as the record is super long and has a very DJ-unfriendly ambient intro, I gave it a couple of chops and hope you're brave enough to bring it to the dancefloor where it belongs. The tracks by Joachim Holm & Alejandro Mosso, Actress, Hieroglyphic Being and Blacknecks are all quite sparse to begin with and with the approval of all involved you can now smile or cringe at these "Versions" where I "join the band" on some of my recent favourite records. Thanks to the artists and labels involved for letting me use their music.

Second GOST instrument is made by Karelia's finest Sergey Suokas. The 'A" side titled "Reka Vremeni' (the River of Time in Russian) represents one deep repetitive techno story, carefully crafted with high attention to details. Anyone who followed the development of house music made in the usa in the last decade will certainly have met the art of Fred Peterkin aka Fred P aka Black Jazz Consortium.

His musical set phrase isn't following new trends. Fred is often simply melting shuffling percussions with elementary melodies. but he does it in a sense that the heavy used and abused phrase "deepness" finally gets a fresh truthfully new meaning.

This new project is directed by Miho in collaboration with Robert Drewek, the owner of respected label RAWAX. It is a special edition 'RAWAX - AIRA EP vinyl series".

Concept and mission will always be, to connect and invite great musicians who produce and create "essence of the real music', not following the trend but let the music speak itself with groove, melody, vibe, energy and soul....

Roland has made evolution in dance music all over the world in 80's, Music needed those machines, and machines needed those creators of music. Essen's own Glenn Astro has called his first album Throwback, and the name is at once a perfect fit and not nearly the extent of the story. On the one hand, Astro has filled the double-LP with a wealth of old-school gestures and textures—the warm whoosh of analog synths, the rattle of Rhodes tines and the sizzle of jazzy drums,all held together by the comforting glue of tape hiss and vinyl crackle. If you're used to the clean sonic lines and stylistic streamlining of so much contemporary house music, then Throwback is sure to feel less like a record you just pulled out of plastic wrap than a well-seasoned one salvaged from a flea market or unfinished basement. And yet like so many Tartelet releases—particularly the label's last two full-lengths,
Max Graef's Rivers of the Red Planet and Uffe's Radio Days—it feels fresh and keenly contemporary no matter how vintage the fabric. Rather than throw back to any one moment, he's given us a collage of styles that's quite literally timeless. Astro makes brilliant work of his influences, drawing on hip-hop, house, funk and soul in such equal measure that it's hard to argue that one impulse dominates the other. The sound certainly flirts with the dance floor, with Astro applying highpressure
deep house pads on the title cut, gliding on shimmering keys for "One For Viktor," and taking us on a vibraphone-fueled workout with "Kilometer Disco," one of a pair of cuts featuring Max Graef. But Astro obviously relishes the time he spends on the sidelines absorbing the atmosphere, or at home head-nodding to the dustiest corners of his record collection. For every house beat you hear, you'll also dip into juicy, 90's-style beat science, toasty ambience and buttery chord progressions.
Expertly paced but never hustling you along, Throwback begs to be heard as a whole but explored at your own easy pace—a record for hazy mornings-after, vibey
nights in and endless summer afternoons.

* Jon Gurd's Birth Right EP is the first material from the Portsmouth based Techno producer in more than 2
years since his ventures on Octopus recordings, 8 Sided Dice and Quartz. The EP therefore indicates an
audible step change not just in the approach to production but also in the mindset and emotive feeling
behind each texture and layer. Having emerged unscathed from a traumatic family related drama Jon
communicates a tortuous and re-evaluated life message across all 3 tracks, and is dedicated to his brother
with a hidden meaning conveying, Tomorrow Is - Promised - To No One'.

* Dissecting the EP further the educated are blessed with field recordings, analogue rumbling and modular
synthesis exiting from almost 24 months of lab driven experimentation. No real process has been applied or
extant formulae followed and the EP's resounding success is that this now exudes what Jon feels' innately
rather than what the industry wants, therefore the journey, endless noise making and experimentation gives
a balanced and exciting offering. Jon comments seriously my process for producing this has been all over

Don't be mislead from the name, the enigmatic M. Zalla, is one of the numerous alter ego of the italian maestro Piero Umiliani. Umiliani, during his period of fascination for psychedelic and electronic atmospheres, starts to compose a good number of musical portraits dedicated, as the title reveals, to the problems of his time. We are at the beginning of '70 and italians are worried by mafia, terrorism and social conflicts: so it has sense that the music choosen to represent this anxious problems has a sperimental nature, dark and disturbing a sort of unicum in the long and extremly productive Umiliani career.And if, in 2015, titles as Mondo in Crisi', Problemi Sociali', Azione Sindacale' and Mafia Oggi' sounds still sadly actual, it's even more surprising find that the music of Problemi d'Oggi' (Today Problems) is projected on the future, sounding still alien and uniques.
The record presents various styles: from Pink Floyd atmospheres (or Braen's Machine if you prefer...) to compositions characterized by a great use of drum machines and synthetizer (MOOG and Sinthy). We just have to listen the begginning of the opening track Produzione' to give sense to the words of Sean Canty (Demdike Stare) that defines the music the first techno/trance track of the history, but between the grooves of this vinyl it's easy to find intuitions that many other artist and musicians - from Residents to Aphex Twin and Four Tet - will be able to catch during their carrers.

This record is the most important promo tool of Leipzig's own M.ono in his grand scheme to conquer the world with his supersecret cocktail named, Die Volle Schnauze. All flavours and 17 secret ingredients of this wonderful drink come together in the 4 tracks of this EP. Cadenza Records displays a deft touch in showcasing new talent, just as much as it leans on its core of established producers. The 'Split' EP shines a bright light on the musical endeavors of Enrico Gasperini AKA gAs, and fellow Italian, Lino Pugliese. One side of vinyl each, and gAs opens up Side A with 'Rack Attack', its woody hits and scattering hi-hats holding a solid groove whilst gentle keys entwine a melodic touch with a stuttering synth riff that's designed to circulate around the brain. Splashes of cymbals and white noise provide the all important drama as the track rises to a crescendo. Enrico's second contribution, 'Agogo', keeps up the ante with another slice of exquisite house grooves. The inner-city street ambience opening gives way to an undeniably funky rhythm track, incessant spongy stabs and frenzied percussion that makes this one a sure fire winner. Over on Side B, Lino Pugliese gets to flex his sonic palette after recent releases on Cadenza Lab and Memento. 'Banging On Your Door' takes its time to unfurl; a percussive swing not too dissimilar to the Stones' 'Sympathy For The Devil' sets the tone magnificently, as low frequency synth sweeps and distant vocal effects build, the kick drum jolting the track into life with bursts of furry snares and handclaps. More ambient soaked business on 'Aniwama' as Lino forges melodious piano and clanging ride cymbals with low end sonics as the track deconstructs as quickly as it builds, tearing up the arrangement rule books to create a unique cut that can perform as a mood-setting piece just as well as a peak time genre-shifter.
