In 1978, Muddy Waters released one of his most essential works towards the end of his career.

Titled I'm Ready, the album was produced by Johnny Winter and followed Hard Again, their first collaboration.

It was immediately hailed as a blues classic.

The collaboration between Winters and Waters resulted in three albums, which blues fans describe as a unique combination
that showcased Muddy Waters' rawness and years of experience to perfection. The impressive roster of featured artists included
“Pine Top” Perkins on piano and Walter Horton on the harmonica, making it a dream late-career collaboration.

Tim Wright is a musician, composer and video artist based in York. He is perhaps best known as a producer of unusual electronic dance music released under his own name and the pseudonym Tube Jerk. His music has been released by some of the key labels in the field including Tresor, Mute/Novamute, Sativae and GPR. Remix credits range from scorn through Cristian Yogel to Laurent Garnier and Goldfrapp.

Tim also works for the Japanese choreographer Saburo Teshigawara as a composer and sound designer. his compositions for Teshigawara include the original music for metamorphosis (2014), a commission for Goteborgsoperans Danskompani, Sweden; darkness is hiding black horses (2013) for the ballet de l'opera de paris, France; and compositions for installations at the Yokohama Triennale 2008, the Shanghai Zendai museum of modern art and the ikon gallery in Birmingham.

Uncle Slam, featuring former members of Suicidal Tendencies and Warrior, was a politically-minded thrash act from the 90's. Their list of influences shouldn’t surprise anyone with a passing familiarity of the genre: early Corrosion of Conformity, Dark Angel, Testament, Megadeth and of course Suicidal Tendencies.

Will Work for Food, originally released in 1993 by Roadrunner Records in Europe, with cover art by the legendary Ed Repka, will now be a available on vinyl for the first time ever.

This album features an iconoclastic take on Led Zeppelin’s “Dazed and Confused” which is one of the record’s highlights, These guys are turning that song’s proto-punk into actual punk. Canadian-born Alexander 'Skip' Spence was the co-founder of Moby Grape, and played guitar with them until 1969. In the same year he released his only solo album: Oar.

The album was recorded after Spence had spent six months in a mental institution following a delusion-driven attempt to attack his Moby Grape band mates with a fire axe, after having ingested LSD. As the urban myth goes, on the day of his release he drove a motorcycle - dressed in only his pyjamas - directly to Nashville to record his only solo album. Fact is that he recorded this album in seven days, playing all the instruments himself, and that the end result is now considered to be a classic psychedelic folk album. After this album Spence largely withdrew from the music industry.

Original copies of Oar fetch quite the sum nowadays, so Music On Vinyl teamed up with Columbia/Sony to make this psychedelic folk gem available for everybody to enjoy.

JoeyStarr is the co-founder of the famous French rap duo Suprême NTM. Originally starting out as breakdancers and graffiti writers, the duo is known for representing the perspective of minorities residing in the underprivileged neighbourhoods of Paris and beyond through dark, gritty, politically-conscious lyrics. Despite achieving record sales with their four albums, they split in 1998.

After a few detours away from the music business, in 2006 JoeyStarr dropped his first solo album. Egomaniac, released in 2011, is his second album and includes some high-profile collaborations; on "Mamy..." he works together with Nicoletta on a rework of her 1971 hit single "Mamy Blue" and the interlude "Appel À La Resistance" features a speech by leading left-wing politician Olivier Besancenot. After its initial release, the vinyl edition went out of print so we're happy we can finally make it available again.

Sélection naturelle is the fourth studio album by the French rapper Nessbeal, released on CD in the fall of 2011. A self-professed fan of National Geographic, he named the record "Natural Selection" after developing a fascination for the evolutionary idea that only the strongest survive.

America’s Volume Dealer is the sixth studio album by Corrosion of Conformity. On this album the band's Southern tinge is more pronounced than ever. Warren Haynes (Allman Brothers, Gov't Mule) lends his slide guitar to the Skynyrd-ish acoustic-driven ballad "Stare Too Long." What's most immediately obvious, though, is that this is COC's most radio-friendly record yet- the production is more polished, but the record still has that typical COC sound.

Trends may come and trends may go, but New Wave of British Heavy Metal pioneers Saxon carry on carrying on. Lily Was Here is the soundtrack album to the 1989 Dutch drama film of the same name (original Dutch title: De Kassière, The Cashier), released in 1989 and produced and largely written by British musician David A. Stewart, known as one half of the pop duo Eurythmics.

The most notable element of the soundtrack is its title track, an instrumental duet pairing Stewart’s guitar work with saxophone performances by Candy Dulfer. The track was released as a single and achieved chart success in multiple countries, including reaching #1 in the Netherlands for five weeks, number six on the UK Singles Chart and number eleven on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Tudo is an album by world renowned Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Bebel Gilberto, originally released in 2014.

Boogiemonsters were an American hip hop group composed of Bronx‑born rapper Mondo McCann, Alaskan native Vex Da Vortex (Sean Pollard), and Jamaican‑born brothers Myntric (Sean Myers) and Yodared (Ivor “Al” Myers). The members met while attending Virginia State University, quickly connected, and began recording demos and performing at campus events. Their early momentum led them to win first place at Howard University’s Hip‑Hop Convention.

Pendulum/EMI record label signed the four MCs and released their debut album Riders Of The Storm: The Underwater Album in 1994. The first single, “Recognized Thresholds of Negative Stress,” introduced their thoughtful, alternative approach to hip hop. It was followed by “Honeydips in Gotham,” a smooth tribute to the fly sistas of the city, and “Strange,” built around a slick Cameo sample. Another standout track, “Salt Water Taffy (Slo Jam),” is noted as one of the earliest non‑Roots session appearances by future producer Scott Storch.

Riders Of the Storm: The Underwater Album delivers a focused blend of rugged beats, sharp lyricism, and atmospheric production that stands apart in the 90s hip hop landscape. Its mix of conscious themes and deep grooves makes it essential for fans of underground hip hop. The album’s mellow, funky, alternative sound sits comfortably alongside groups like A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul, giving it a timeless place in the era’s most creative and forward‑thinking releases.

Originally released on CD in 2006, It's A Feedelity Affair marked a formative moment in Hans Peter Lindstrøm's early career, compiling key tracks from his first wave of 12-inch releases between 2003 and 2006. Now, twenty years after the founding of his Feedelity label, the album is presented for the first time as a newly remastered vinyl edition.

Upon its original release, the album received widespread international attention, including a Best New Music rating (8.4) from Pitchfork. The track I Feel Space has since become one of Lindstrøm's most enduring and recognizable works. The album also documents some of his earliest collaborations with Prins Thomas and Christabelle, resulting in tracks such as Boney M Down and Lovesick.

Lindstrøm relaunched Feedelity in 2024, with the label returning in 2025 alongside his most recent album Sirius Syntoms and the single Cirkl, marking a full-circle moment for the imprint. A new studio album is currently in progress and expected in autumn 2026.

Cranes is a dream pop/shoegaze band formed by siblings Alison and Jim Shaw, who rose to stardom following a world tour with the Cure in 1992. After the influential Dedicated label folded in 1998 they went on a two-year hiatus after which they set up their own label Dadaphonic. On Dadaphonic, they released three studio albums between 2001 and 2008, of which Future Songs is their first.

Between 1986 and 1997 Cranes released a steady stream of records on Bite Back! and of course Dedicated, and when the latter folded, the Shaw siblings took a relatively long break from recording. Then, in 2001 they returned with a different bassist and drummer, their new Dadaphonic label and a fantastic new record to go along with it. A breathe of fresh air,

Future Songs acts as a bridge between their somewhat brusque approach to shoegaze from the 90s and electronica-infused sound from the zeroes. A remarkable effort, especially considering the Shaws recorded almost everything on their own.

Chicken Shack are a British blues rock band founded in 1965 by Stan Webb, Andy Silvester, and Alan Morley, who were later joined by Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie, then still known as Christine Perfect. They signed to the legendary British blues label Blue Horizon in 1967.

O.K. Ken? is the band's second studio album from 1969 and reached #9 in the UK Albums Chart. The record was Perfect's last album as a member of Chicken Shack; she would join Fleetwood Mac a year later in July 1970. Her tune "Get Like You Used to Be" from the album became a staple of Fleetwood Mac's live act until 1975.

In 1990, John Williams created the compilation album John Williams Conducts John Williams - The Star Wars Trilogy, which features 13 of his most memorable tracks from the original Star Wars Trilogy. John Williams Conducts John Williams – The Star Wars Trilogy is available as an exclusive “May The 4th Be With You” edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on green/white split vinyl. This 2LP package includes an insert with liner notes by the creator of the Star Wars franchise, George Lucas.

Back in 1990 the New Bomb Turks got together as four Ohio State University students who just wanted to rock. 10 years later they are already on their 7th studio album: Nightmare Scenario.

New Bomb Turks return to their snaggle-toothed first mistress — hard-driving, no-holds-barred American punk rock. With the guitar jive of Chuck Berry, the blinding ferocity of Motörhead and the snot of The Dead Boys, singer Eric Davidson and his backing trio fire off a dozen grenades of authentic old-school three-chord riff-rock in little over a half-hour, with nary a pause for breath between tracks. Out Loud is the debut solo album from Gary Klebe, guitarist/vocalist of the power-pop band Shoes. Formed in Zion, Illinois in 1974, Shoes was influenced by British Invasion groups of the 1960s and artists like Big Star, Bowie, the Move, Todd Rundgren, Nils Lofgren. The band first gained attention by self-releasing records on their own Black Vinyl Records label before signing to Elektra Records. Albums like Black Vinyl Shoes, Present Tense, and Tongue Twister earned them critical acclaim and cult-favorite status, with songs such as “Too Late,” “Tomorrow Night,” and “Your Imagination” becoming genre touchstones. Shoes’ melodic craftsmanship and independent spirit have made them hugely influential, inspiring generations of power-pop and indie rock bands.

Formed by sisters Shelly and Karen Poole, the pair first appeared in 1988 under the name Keren & Chelle, releasing their single "Sugar Daddy". In 1996 Alisha's Attic released their debut single "I Am, I Feel" which reached the #14 in the UK Singles Charts. Their debut album, Alisha Rules the World was released in November 1996, produced by Dave Stewart of Eurythmics. Recorded in 1960, The Genius Hits the Road was a conceptual album by the great Ray Charles with all its songs referring to a geographical location. Arranged and conducted by Ralph Burns and featuring key members of Ray's band - including saxophonist David "Fathead" Newman and trumpeter Marcus Belgrave - plus strings, the album includes the perennial hit "Georgia On My Mind" - the Hoagy Carmichael song that Ray Charles made his own.

The most recent one, released in 2018 for the PlayStation 4, focusses on main character Kratos' journey in the Greek world together with his son Atreus, following a path of vengeance as a result of being tricked into killing his family by Olympian gods. God of War received universal acclaim for its story, design, graphics, combat system, characters, and music. It was awarded 'Game of the Year' by numerous media outlets and award shows. God of War (2018) performed well commercially, selling over five million copies within a month of its release. It became one of the best-selling PlayStation 4 games. The official soundtrack won a BAFTA Award and is composed by Bear McCreary. It is set up around themes he created around primary characters in the game. Inspired by Viking folk music, McCreary used exotic instrumentation and languages from various Northern European folk traditions. Im Frühjahr 2023 hatte ich meine eigene Solointerpretation komponiert und veröffentlicht, und ich ging davon aus, dass meine Arbeit mit der Komposition damit abgeschlossen sei. Allerdings unterschätzte ich ihre Anziehungskraft. Im folgenden Jahr war ich erneut davon eingenommen, nachdem ich von Andrew Cyr vom Metropolis Ensemble eingeladen worden war, auf der Grundlage meiner Arbeit mit dem Stück weiterzuentwickeln. Bald darauf war ich in Brooklyn, in einem neu gegründeten Team von sechs Personen, das von Cyr geleitet wurde. Im folgenden Jahr war ich erneut in seinen Bann gezogen worden, nachdem ich von Andrew Cyr vom Metropolis Ensemble eingeladen worden war, auf der Grundlage, die ich mit dem Stück geschaffen hatte, weiterzuarbeiten.
