Die schwedischen Punkrocker City Saints kündigen die Veröffentlichung ihres mit Spannung erwarteten neuen Studioalbums an: "Explosiv!" ist das sechste Album der Band seit ihrer Gründung 2012 in Göteborg. Seitdem tourte die Band mehrmals durch ganz Europa und erreichte Millionen von Streams. City Saints haben sich einen Namen gemacht für ihre "take no prisoners "-Attitüde immer auf "High Voltage" und ihren eingängigen Refrains. "Explosiv!" ist da keine Ausnahme. Diese stimmungsvolle Nummer ebnet den Weg für eine Reihe von rasanten, hymnischen Songs wie "Majorna" und "På G", bei denen ein Hauch des Ramones-Spirit sofort spürbar ist. Die Liebe der Band zu ausgeprägt verspieltem Down- und Dirty-Rock'n'Roll mit rotzigem Gesang und voller Tempo ist in "Blod & Bly" und "Kranarnas Stad" deutlich zu spüren. Weitere Überraschungen gibt es in Form des Titeltracks, in dem ein wildes Bass-Solo dem Namen "Explosiv!" alle Ehre macht, und des Outros "Fan Ta Er", einem kurzen Live-Cut, der in einer intimen Umgebung nur mit Gesang und Mundharmonika zum treibendem Beat gespielt wird. City Saints haben für das neue Album erneut mit Produzent Chips Kiesbye zusammengearbeitet, der für seine Arbeit mit The Hellacopters und Michael Monroe bekannt ist. Das Ergebnis ist eine natürlich klingende Platte, die an die reduzierten Produktionen aus dem goldenen Zeitalter des Punkrock erinnert. Die Band nutzte Kiesbyes Talent voll aus und konnte zudem den Sänger und Gitarristen von "Sator" bei "Explosiv!" für die Mandoline und Akkordeon zu einem Gastspiel ins Studio einladen. Portland-based ambient architect and far afield sound technician Graintable, aka James Cooke returns with his debut outing on Music To Watch Seeds Grow By and his fourth in the R$N stable; 'Blue Flax'. Following his acclaimed and sold out cassette releases 'Herons', 'Universal Ash' and ‘The Rain In The Trees’ on Ransom Note Records, this new collection sees Cooke delving deeper into the intersection of natural processes and liminal organic electronics.

'Blue Flax', the resilient flowering plant celebrated for its delicate blue blooms and medicinal applications, is native to the Pacific Northwest - the region Cooke calls home. This plant has long grown on the ancestral lands of the Wasco, Klickitat, Warm Springs, Cayuse, and Umatilla tribes. Its connection to this landscape underscores the album’s themes, weaving together ten intricate ambient pieces that reflect the plant's dual nature of part healer, part object of wonder. Recorded during the transitional hours of dawn and dusk in his Portland studio, Cooke’s soundscapes capture both the meditative aspects of watching plants grow and the gradual transformation of organic matter into usable forms. The centrepiece of the album Cerulian FIelds, reminds of the early morning light, those inspiring hours before the rest of the world wakes and the first shoots break through the soil into the new dawn. It’s a beautiful crystallisation of what is Cooke’s most comprehensive collection of meditative compositions to date.

2025 kicks off a new year with a new artist for Klasse Wrecks, it is with great pleasure we welcome Glasgow based DJ and producer Stevie Cox to our ranks. Stevie's second full length release is one of deep cerebral breaks and evolving technicoloured techno, 4 tracks that surprisingly weave an already defined and recognisable sound from the young artist. Dont expect over-thought and over-cooked musings though, Ms. Cox keeps it fresh, to the point and relevant with most tracks clocking in around 5 minutes. Als Inspiration für Klang und Repertoire von ”ARBORESQUE” nennt die Band diesmal die Natur und

Form und wurde vom Trio aus Jimmy Jones, Bob Cranshaw und Sam Woodyard sowie Ellington-Legenden
wie Paul Gonsalves, Jimmy Hamilton und Johnny Hodges zusätzlich beflügelt.
Vom swingenden Opener “The Moment Of Truth” und dem lässigen Klassiker „Let’s Do It“ bis zum
Fitzgerald-Evergreen „Mack The Knife“ ist alles dabei, was man als Fan liebt. Zwei zusätzliche Pop-Songs
der Sixties transponiert Ella meisterhaft in die Jazz-Welt: die bittersüße Ballade „Alfie“ von Burt Bacharach
und den Ohrwurm „Music To Watch Girls By”. Beide Songs waren bislang noch nie von Ella interpretiert
zu hören!

2025 markiert gleich ein dreifaches Jubiläum Udo Lindenbergs. 1995 erscheint „Kosmos“. Eine wahre Wundertüte an neuen Sounds. Lindenberg experimentiert souverän mit knalligem Funk, Walzer und Computer
Beats. Jetzt ist das Album, welches damals nur auf Kassette und CD erschien, in neuem Gewand zurück.
Die 30. Jubiläumsedition kommt als farbige Doppel-LP in „Sparkle Universe“ in streng limitierter und von
Hand nummerierter Auflage in den Handel. Auch mit dabei: ein besonderes Booklet, in welchem sogleich
das zweite große Jubiläum Lindenbergs zelebriert wird: sein Start in die Welt der bildenden Künste.
Schon zuvor skribbelte und zeichnete Lindenberg leidenschaftlich gern. Die Veröffentlichung des Albums
„Kosmos“ nahm er sich allerdings zum Anlass, parallel einen Kunstkalender zu veröffentlichen – sein erster
offzieller Auftritt als bildender Künstler. Der Kunstkalender beinhaltete passend zu jedem der 12 Songs
auf dem Album ein eigenes Werk. Diese finden sich heute im Booklet der Vinyl und der CD wieder. Wie
heute bekannt ist, markiert dieser Kalender damit den Startschuss für seine zweite bahnbrechende Karriere
als Maler.
Auch das Dritte, 30-jährige Jubiläum ist ein wichtiger Teil seines Lebens: 1995 bezog Lindenberg seine
„Panikzentrale“ im Hotel Atlantic, wo er den Dachboden als Atelier nutzt und das Hotel einige seiner Werke
ausstellt.
Um diese Jubiläen gebührend zu feiern, erscheint die Neuauflage des Albums am 28. Februar im Handel.

In early 2025 the Skids complete BBC Sessions are compiled onto CD by Scottish label Last Night From Glasgow - The double album features the five sessions the Skids recorded for John Peel with the BBC between 1978 and 1980 - The release includes the BBC session recordings of fan favourites The Saints Are Coming, Masquerade and Circus Games - The legendary Scottish punk band remain as influential as ever, even 45 years on. Legendary punk and new wave band Skids formed in Dunfermline in 1977. They rose to fame with 1979 single Into The Valley and 1980 album The Absolute Game. With almost 50 years under their belt the group, led by Richard Jobson, remain as thrilling as ever, as evident with their latest album Destination Dusseldorf in 2023. The Skids continue to boast over 80,000 monthly Spotify listeners and have been featured extensively across media and press throughout their career. In recent years they have partnered with label Last Night From Glasgow to reissue on vinyl albums Scared To Dance and Days In Europa, and release new album Destination Dusseldorf.

China Crisis BBC Sessions have been compiled onto vinyl by Scottish label Last Night From Glasgow, released in early 2025. The release features the band's two John Peel sessions recorded with the BBC in March 1982 and January 1983, now remastered and available on vinyl and CD. The album includes the BBC session recording of hit single Wishful Thinking. The Complete Sessions follows on from recent album China Greatness released in May 2024, a collection of the band's best tracks now newly arranged and mixed. China Crisis remain one of the UK's most beloved pop bands. Formed in Merseyside in 1979, the core duo of Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon remains unchanged 45 years on. They rose to fame in the early 80s with chart success single Christian and single Wishful Thinking, album Difficult Shapes & Passive Rhythms reached No.21 in the UK album charts in 1982. China Crisis continue to tour extensively and boast over 325,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

Bleach was the 1989 album where it all began for Nirvana. Bleach has been remastered, and is reissued here on black vinyl single LP.
This is the band’s only release on the Sub Pop label and the also the only album to feature Chad Channing on drums.

Sammy Davis Jr was a singer, actor, comedian, dancer, TV host and noted amateur photographer. But, he is perhaps best remembered for his role in the iconic film Ocean’s 11 where he played a member of the Rat Pack alongside lifelong friends Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, a role that he lived in real life.

In 1969 he had a #11 Billboard hit with ‘I’ve Gotta Be Me’ after which he signed to the mighty Motown Records in order to reach a younger audience.

The album was released internationally in 1970 and showcased Davis at his smokin’ best covering ‘Spinning Wheel’ and ‘Wichita Lineman’ with his trademark brassy tenor. At the time Davis was a top-draw act in Las Vegas alongside Elvis with whom he developed a close relationship. He appeared in Presley’s concert film That’s The Way It Is and included a superb version of ‘In The Ghetto’ on the album. The set also includes the Motown classics ‘For Once In My Life’, popularised by Stevie Wonder’, and ‘You’ve Made Me So Very Happy’ by Brenda Holloway, co-written by the Holloway sisters and Frank “Do I Love You” Wilson.

Sammy Davis Jr was posthumously awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement and his legacy lives on through his screen performances and his prolific recorded output.

MOLA's music is the unadorned antithesis to a rosy world. She celebrates herself to death, pulls you into her inner chaos and does without the usual romanticising transfiguration of the merciless disorientation that catches up with you on the way home after the last cigarette.

MOLA knows better than anyone that she is a border commuter - and she has never made a secret of it. Perhaps it was fate that the course of events abandoned her shortly after her birth in Erba, Italy, in Germany's most austere metropolis. In Munich, where flying free and falling free are a little more complicated than in the cesspit of Berlin, where one would naturally place Isabella Streifeneder and her music if one didn't know better.

Temporarily reduced to intimacy, then escalating into iconic 80s "Purpel Rain" pathos, MOLA illustrates the emotional chaos that the inner dialogue of left and right brain triggers in her. Unconventional pop music that bundles the nonchalance of great soul anthems, the grace of the Italo-disco of the eighties and the ingenuousness of lascivious hip-hop bangers instead of trying to sound modern by force.

MOLA celebrates defeat, exposes life lies, criticises adulthood, documents radical mood swings. She balances along the abyss in her ball gown, jokes about things you don't joke about, praises and curses intoxication and love - "Vino Bianco no longer tastes like dolce vita, it only tastes like losing".

You can now see MOLA supporting Fatoni, Roy Bianco & the Abbrunzati Boys, Mayberg and Kaffkiez in a flurry of strobe lights after sold-out "nothing breaks me" shows in Munich, Cologne, Berlin & Hamburg. In addition to a festival season that couldn't have been more beautiful, they finally have a big tour of their own coming up for their next album, which will see the light of day in September.

After more than 40 festivals "Snow in Summer" on well-known stages like Lollapalooza Berlin, Rocken am Brocken, Puls Open Air, but also as support for Udo Lindenberg at the Hermann-Hesse-Festival, "Life is Beautiful", the darned second record, sounds almost cynical, ironic or simply naive? In the end, it doesn't matter, because when you are overcome by this spontaneous feeling that is far removed from any rationality, you don't ask any questions. The Local Moon (East Berlin 1987/88) The name The Local Moon originated from an intimation by the oriental jester Nasreddin that every city had its own moon. This idea did not go without a certain local colour in the bipolar frontline city of Berlin; from an astropolitical view, its divided sky never saw a full moon, the light conditions were ideologically broken. From the black light of those years emerged The Local Moon. René Le Doil and Ronald Lippok took wings like two crows from a pigeon’s nest when quite suddenly in 1987 light entertainment permeated East Berlin’s Offground and the two musicians were hired for the New Romantic revue New Affair. Before that, Le Doil had been involved in the Stattgespräch fashion spectacle and in Allerleirauh, the “thing of light, space, sound and leather”. Lippok had been the drummer for Rosa Extra, one of the earliest punk rock bands in East Berlin. He's one of the busiest players on the Chicago scene. If you're in the Windy City, find him almost any night of the week at a bar, club, or venue near you, either behind the drumkit or behind the turntables, donning a beaver skin stetson hat, with his baby blue vintage Mercedes parked out front. For his lead artist debut Panamá 77 he engages a diverse array of friends and collaborators - including Bardo Martinez (Chicano Batman), Jeff Parker (Tortoise), Marta Sofia Honer (Adrian Younge), Anna Butterss (Jenny Lewis), and Aquiles Navarro (Irreversible Entanglements) - to create a vibrant and verdant suite of multi-textural psychedelic instrumental folk-funk.
