Busy DJing, producing and running his own label Vicario LTD, Soul of Hex is a driving force in the Mexican scene. His new Helipop EP offers different styles like a downbeat intro, a deep bassy rough house cut (Helipop) plus 2 back to oldschool rave/warehouse tunes not afraid using some uplifting pianos, catchy vocals and deep basslines. Brixton's Dream Diary continue to bolster a blooming catalogue of classy electronic music with a fresh 4-track EP courtesy of label owner Oslo Roma. Staying true to their canon - Roma's 'Bubbles' EP spans Ambient, cruising Deep House, Minimal and Electro balancing water tight drums with eyes down melodies throughout.
The title track opens things up with gliding Juno chords and a steady, hypnotic pulse. Shimmering cymbals and spoken snippets ferry the listener into a trance before 'How Good Is The Party' rolls loose limbed drums under sweeping tones and expansive dub delays. 'Mars Water' then dims the lights with a driving bass line set under reversed vocals and clipped, neat drums. 'Twotet' then finishes the package up with sharp 808 drums and soft allaying melodies that work to round off another rich and varied addition to the Dream Diary catalogue.

How Is It Going To End It's split single time at Studio Barnhus as we come correct with two pieces of proper-not-proper house music for the daredevil deejay. Jonathan Fernandez is only 23 but has lived in Glasgow forever - under his Wheelman moniker and as head of label/party Stereotone, our brilliant new friend has quickly become Scotland's worst kept secret. Track comes overflowing with mind-expanding rave signal and ruff-ruff square bass for your face! Hanky - secret new alias of one of Stockholm's most recent and most exciting dance music exports - delivers a chaotic yet steady super-groove', equally primed for the club floor and the anger management class. Cosmin TRG is back on Sportiv with two tracks of stark, angular beauty. Afterburn harks back to 90s era Techno of the hyperkinetic variety, in the vein of Regis's seminal 'Gymnastics'. The obssessive vocal mantra adds to its hypnotic, frantic rhythm. Electra on the flip is on a trance-inducing mission, with it's cavernous 808 kick driving a tribal groove, carried by a pulsating bassline and eerie percussion. Sportiv is a dexterous white label operation that brings you heavy-weight rhythmic performances from the world of techno athletics.

...and in the end, not a great deal is known about the Spanish duo Futuro. The saga begins with the discovery of a cache of test pressings deep within the shelves of a very dusty record shop near the Plaza Del Toros De Valencia. As is the case with these things there was no promo sheet or any other information outside of three clues etched into the run-out groove: Futuro, Jollyman, MCMLXXXVII. Through deduction and reasoning it was soon realised that Jollyman was a short lived Italian record label that closed it's doors in 1987. There were rumours for a while that Jollyman was a mafia wedding gift to a music enthused female family member, but as the journey continued it became slightly more likely that this was a tax write-off for it's owners, as the label itself was never very successful, and was more likely an afterthought rather than a full on passion project. That is not to say that there were not gems hidden within it's small catalogue, most notably from noted library musician, composer and arranger Alessandro Signoretti, without whose help this release would not be presently in front of you. Alessandro's assistance led us to the infamous Hafenklang Studio in Hamburg, Germany. The very same studio used by Boytronic to record their classic LP 'The Continental' (some of the same DX presets can easily be heard on both albums) and despite the insane amounts of musicians that have passed through those doors the owner clearly remembered the duo and finally the mysterious Futuro had names: Javier C Rayón and Raúl Láynez.Too late for the Italo boom, and too early for the Sonido De Valencia craze, the recordings of Futuro have sat on master tapes since 1987 finally awaiting their much deserved audience. Bordello A Parigi are more than proud to present this lost Late slow-mo synthesizer Italo masterpiece onto the world.

Soma welcome back long time collaborator Tony Scott under his Edit Select alias with The Bridge. Having recorded such classics as X-Track under Percy X, Tony has since found new depths with his Edit Select moniker which has seen countless releases on his own self titled label and more. With an album currently planned for release on Soma in early 2018, Edit Select takes his first steps onto his hometown label with this new single.

Suitably deep production is always the order of the day with any Edit Select release and this one is no different. Title track, The Bridge, begins with a chugging beat before gradually undulating into epic soundscapes. Flux takes a darker turn as twisted synths resonate throughout the typical atmospheric backdrop. Tonalist creates more rhythmic scenes with intense percussive elements keeping the track moving.

After dropping their first various, Figures, Slowciety is about to release Guru, Sunrom's next EP. The artist has already worked with prestigious labels like Kompakt, Ancient Future Now and The Bricks. The EP lays down four organic tracks for a blend of deep house, world music and techno. The title track sounds like a ride on acid and is followed by Quirigua, a rich track conjuring transcendent Mayan rituals. The B side opens with Elephant's deep muffled kicks and takes off with Utopia's elegant arpeggiator for a final flight. This strange and personal EP will cast a spell on the dance floor.

The new ef ort from Brazilian label Easytiiger.Easytiiger__001 comprises 4 songs by 4 new acts - Mootron, BRZLN Air, Cacos and San Y Mayo. 'No Rave', a rebellion-track led by drunken synthesizers by Mootron, fl oats between bending arps, sharp leads and echoverb nukes land on a big fat drum kick and bright laser shots hi-hats - no rave! 'Detroit', by the young producer BRZLN Air, contemplates an ode to the whole history on electronic music that made the american city be known for what it is: drums, synths and love, a pure obsession. Cacos brings to life his exquisite dream-lover 'Sarah', a dark & mystic techno combined with elements of obscure chant rhythms - it's Sarah. San Y Mayo closes the 4-song compilation marching from the sea into the jungle - you might know what to expect but it doesn't mean it's there.

Label co-founder Vercetti Technicolor returns to Giallo Disco after the Black September LP with the soundtrack to the psychedelic neon-soaked slasher short HARD PILL. Strong follow up four track EP by Johnny Island on new Berlin-based techno label SMARAGD!

After more than 5 years releasing exclusively their own material on their own label and with 12 EP released since nowadays there, NX1 use now the cultivated experience through this years to launch Nexe Records, a new platform with which they open to release other related artists and collaborations that will rule the label.

To get started, Nexe Records opens with a 3 EP vinyl pack which contains 12 artists remixing released tracks from NX1. The first three records are involving names such as AnD, Orphx, Blush Response, Ontal, Samot, P.E.A.R.L., Scalameriya, Go Hiyama, Surit, Lucindo, RE_P and The Exaltics, a wide sort list that define the borders and possibilities of the sound that the duo purposes for this new label.

In the first EP we find the italian RE_P opening the record, a rough version from an original melodic track solved with class. The veteran Japanese Artist Go Hiyama is following with a playful remix that hooks you from the beginning and shows the new direction of his sound. On the other side we find the industrial guys from Serbia, Ontal, which deliver an experimental strong heavy track that breaks any conventionalism in a brilliant way. AnD are delivering the last track of the EP, an old school techno style track at his best as the British duo likes, a peak time track to end perfectly this first record of remixes.

KSMISK drop three atmospheric techno cuts for their second release on Norwayís PLOINK this August.
Made up of Truls Kvam and Robin Crafoord, the Scandinavian duo are well known under their Trulz & Robin moniker and have released on the likes of Prins Thomasí labels Full Pupp and Rett i Fletta, not to mention their own imprints Cymasonic and Cymawax.

ëMagmaí is a deep and mesmerising production that continues to evolve as more elements are incorporated, blending crunchy kicks with serene pads and otherworldly effects.
ëLavaí is a dark and suspenseful number in comparison, establishing a raw hook and ominous nuances at its base whilst sci-fi inspired synths cut in and out of the mix.
Finally, an ebbing beatless track titled ëTuyaí generates a melancholic aesthetic to conclude the release.

Ploink is fast becomming one of our favourite techno labels, and the Norway-based imprint brings the goods once again with this killer new cut from KSMISK. Magma is probably about as deep as the earth's own magma pools, with a bassline that penetrates every atom of your being as it pulls you into its seductive web.'

Roman producer (and a force behind MinimalRome label) Valerio Lombardozzi known as Heinrich Dressel returns to Barba with a second release for our label, titled "The Styx Swamp". Heinrich has a unique way of combining classic techno and electro sounds with elements from the beloved Drexcyan universe and John Carpenter leitmotifs, and making them come together in a manner that both moves your body and pushes your mind beyond the point of awareness. As with the previous record, "Lurking Underwater", here he pulls off the move with the same efficiency and without sounding like he's repeating himself. "Gray Slope", "Sailing The Nether Waterways" and "The Styx Swamp" are all quite moody and deep, rich with sound and thick with vibe. However, the tracks feel equally at home in 4 am techno situation and a heady afterhours affair. He truly is a master of crafting hybrids whose influences get so flawlessly embedded that it's hard to point them out. If that's not enough, "The Styx Swamp" got a treatment by Nigel Rogers aka Perseus Traxx, a multi-faceted producer and a mighty live act performer. Nigel stayed respectful to the original but made the original's bouncy groove into something more direct and reduced, while retaining the same feel conditioned by lead synth's hypnotic quality. We're known to give a little bit of extra love to our releases so (as all before) this one's pressed onto a heavy duty 180 gram vinyl and beautifully packaged in an original artwork by EmaEmaEma.

On EP5, legendary German musician Burnt Friedman makes his Dekmantel Records debut with 'Monsun'. The Berlin based artist, who built a reputation for himself through his explorations into obscure, finely-tuned, experimental dub through his label Nonplace, alongside his collaborative relationship with the late Can drummer Jaki Liebezeit, is one of the crucial, sonic manipulators of our time. 'Monsun' finds Friedman crafting flowing, percussive, dub techno that is both esoteric, and progressive. Befitting of a Dekmantel release. Alongside Friedman sits legendary Detroit act Ectomorph, aka. BMG & Erika, also making their Dekmantel inauguration, with a record that surmises' the group's anologue, style of Motor City beats.

There would be no Dekmantel celebration without longtime family members, JuJu & Jordash. With three LPs and countless EPs released on the imprint to date, alongside a sleuth of festival, and party appearances, the improvisational duo have become masters of off-kilter, and poly-rhytmic electronic funk, of which 'Neon Swing' -a fast-paced and extremely invigorative cut- is of prime example. And then there's Dekmantel favourite Fatima Yamaha - an artist who has a keen ear for gentle, analogue hooks that have gone to become ample festival fodder. The Dutchman maintains an ear for the serene with the track 'Platforms', a sullen, yet beautiful ambient track, the drives deep into the emotive world of soft, tender, heartfelt music.

Following the blistering inaugural release from Talker comes the
second release on the Standards & Practices imprint from label
co-founder Jonathan 'Stave' Krohn, who returns with 5 tracks of dark,
visceral electronic music for the discerning listener. 'Black Hills'
and 'TASC US' kick off the proceedings in fine style - pummeling
drums underpinning harsh blasts of noise and bleak, greyscale
atmospherics, while 'In/Human' and 'B5' on the flip take a different
approach - 2 tracks not aimed at the dancefloor, but both retaining
that cold, claustrophobic feel that characterizes much of Stave's
work. The brooding and sinister 'Stave 17' closes the EP, moving into
exciting new territory with an intensely cinematic sound

Meer is the experimental and ambient project of the techno rave producer Ambre. he composes his first EP on Voidance Recordings, 'Yawm Alhissab, Rabbok Sayakouno Aadowok ».

About the EP:
A1: Rouhk Hia Sada Al Aadam is starting the EP in a frenzy. Drones and blasts of noise are echoing the nothingness buried deep within our souls while constantly pushing hard against battering percussion as if trying to a way out of this agony.

A2: Al Nasr Wa Al Hazima in contrast is an ambient tune, with field recordings and arabic references resembling some kind of solace at first, before turning into a more discomforting mood with a slow and steady beat kicking in after the first third of the track.

B1 Aindama Yahino Al Nar, Kolo Chayin Sawfa Yahtark is raising the tension again, machinegun-like percussion is pushing the track forward, while deep drones are opposing a contemplative mood, thus evoking the feeling of a disaster lurking just around the corner.

B2 The Nastika Remix of Aindama Yahino Al Nar, Kolo Chayin Sawfa Yahtark is turning the original track inside out. The mysterious producer(s) emphasize the more occult parts while piling up layers of layers of sound and in doing so create an even darker mood.

An Australian classic rereleased for the first time ever. Born in 1993 when euphoria was still cool Sweetness and Light is the original rave anthem. Dreamy and breakbeaty this has aged like your best bottle of wine. Brought to you by icons of the scene Itch-E & Scratch-E AKA Paul Mac and Andy Rantzen, between them they have remixed the likes of INXS, Severed Heads, LCD Soundsystem, Kylie Minogue, The Presets and Sia.
In 1994 it came 21st in Triple J's Hottest 100 followed by the honours of an ARIA award for Best Dance Release in 1995. In his infamous acceptance speech Paul Mac announced "We'd like to thank all of Sydney's ecstasy dealers, without whom this award would not be possible".
On the b-side we have Motorik's newest festival act For Life remixing Sweetness into 21st century tempos. Perfect to break between your house and techno this 130bpm heavy hitter blew off the dust from the original to shine again.
Brought to you by your favourite party techno label Motorik who cares more about concept then a budget, this is an opportunity which couldn't be passed down. Closing the release is the sinister In The Dark , which is as deep as it is trippy...

FORMAT second 2017 release is another prime example of the label s coveted sound.

Never released on a 12 inch before 'Mainsqueeze ' edit by Alex is longer than the original and more 'dancefloor' orientated with extended parts and an amazing mastering to feel comfortable to play out and loud. on the B side you will find an incredible instrumental soulful deep house track from 1991 produced by T Tauri New York duo. Extended from the original tapes and mixed with unreleased versions , Stéphane Attias version is a 9min 21 extended dancefloor journey into the deepness of New York early house music sounds . These two great soulful track will definitely find place in any dj box because its really really Good!

No musician embodies more the dramatic transformation in the British jazz scene over the past thirty years than Courtney Pine. His debut album, Journey To The Urge Within in 1987, was the first serious jazz album ever to make the British Top 40, notching up sales to qualify for a silver disc.

Aside from being the preeminent figure in the resurgence of British jazz, Courtney became a renowned presenter and broadcaster, best known for his long running radio show for BBC Radio 2, 'Jazz Crusade'. He was also awarded an O.B.E in the 2000 New Year's Honours, and was also made a C.B.E in 2009 for services to Music.

As an artist always looking to work outside of and across established musical genres, it is easier to list the musicians and artists he hasn't worked with, but now in 2017 Courtney releases brand new music featuring another British music legend of equal repute, his Freestyle Records label mate and an artist also honoured for his own creative endeavours, Omar Lyefook M.B.E.

Both tracks of this single are taken from Courtneys' forthcoming album Black Notes From The Deep - the 19th of his stellar career. The exciting and fresh interpretation of Herbie Hancocks' Butterfly demonstrates straight away that this is a dream team combination. With Alec Dankworth laying down the bass, Rod Youngs' drumming underpinning the groove, the song also gives the outstanding keyboards of Robert Mitchell space to stretch out - Omars fantastic vocal performance rides sweetly on top of the dreamy backing vocals of Charleen Hamilton - and of course Courtneys' flowing, imaginative and creative solo perfects this modern version of a much loved classic.

Rules is a brand new, collaborative composition by Courtney & Omar - the punchy drums and bass line patterns hints simultaneously at classic jazz and funkier club-centric sounds. The release of the Elements EP marks the return of Antonio De Angelis to Dynamic reflection. After the initial success of his Hyper EP on The Nursery Series , the London based producer is back to deliver his first full 12 for the mother label. Displaying great versatility, De Angelis demonstrates his unique talent to catch different sounds and vibes within a clearly coherent style. Giving his own unique twist to everything from powerful dance floor killers to deep mind trippers and all that is in between, Antonio De Angelis delivers a timeless EP that is as versatile as the elements it is named after.

As BPMF started making techno again, he surveyed his techno friends asking them what it was about his music they found the most annoying. The answers TR-606 hi-hats and portamento.
He proceeded to focus on these aspects of his music and today the results are here: "Abide the Glide Volume 4" wherein BPMF is pushing all the right buttons to get the DJ thinking about the sounds their pumpin. Jamie Morris provides an excellent DJ freindly remix of "Even Straighter", taking BPMF's idea and going even straighter.Old Man Raver Pants" proves that a 50 year old man can still party, so long as he's wearing his raver pants and while there's been alot of talk about alternative facts, "Alt-Slacks" is a dub inspired jam that seems like it's narrative might fall apart at anytime.Schmer label head BPMF has been making electronic music since 1984. As Free World released cassettes, was entered by WFCS into CMJ's Best Unsigned Bands competition and in 1985 earned the duo a spot on an Epic Records compilation. In 1986 they released "Amagi", an eclectic collection of experimental electronica inspired by underground new wave and industrial music of the 80s.BPMF and Taylor Deupree formed Decameron and released two cassettes on Havoc Music. Some tracks would appear on early techno CD compilations under pseudonyms. Havoc Music's own compilation "Techno Criminal Sub Cultures" is where BPMF first appeared in 1991.
With Dietrich Schoenemann and Taylor Deupree, BPMF assembled classic early 80s analog gear and as Prototype 909 they released "Acid Technology" on Instinct records; performed their first live show, met Abe Duque who invited all of his techno friends to the legendary Limelight Club in NYC. BPMF brought records and gear jammed live with them. The Rancho Relaxo All-Stars would release three albums and tour Europe together even destroying the original Ultraschall in Munich, quite literally tearing the place down. With John Selway, BPMF channeled early electro and new wave sounds forming Synapse and creating Serotonin Records to bring the funk back and help give birth to the electro revival scene.Prototype 909 recorded four albums and played 70+ shows. Synapse was the first American electro group to play live in Moscow. BPMF released tracks on Serotonin, Schmer, Instinct, Analog/EMF, Tension/Rancho Relaxo Records. His approach to electronic music is hands on and experimental, so more than having a "sound" his music reflects his values: spontaneity and a sense of urgency.

Light years ahead !

The debut vinyl release from label Supervoid Records, out August 21st, 2017, has already made some waves, with two of its three tracks finding their way onto several prominent mixes, including Ben Sims' Run It Red' and Resident Advisor's 513th podcast, performed by Markus Suckut. The release has also been given the nod by other heavy-hitters, including members of the Droid Behavior crew and a Berghain resident. Label owner and artist Dustmite has been remixed by Audio Injection and long ago, Distance. His track Bare appeared on Photek's DJ Kicks.

The music of 7073 was largely inspired by the experience of an intimate, 6+ hour set by Jeff Mills in a US warehouse some years back. There is a feeling one can get in such a setting, with the right sound, the right DJ and the right people - a feeling that anyone who is reading this is probably familiar with - where at some point in the night, when people are in their own worlds, it feels as though at any moment the building could just lift into the sky. Simply put, the track entitled '7073' is Dustmite's attempt to capture some of that magic. Tracks 'Advanced Persistent Threat' and 'Lightwall' stand out as fast, sci-fi-inspired techno drivers, a modern take on early 2000's fast-paced, irreverent but melodic bangers.

Having worked in the video game industry for over a decade, Dustmite has taken a unique approach to pushing his vinyl-based label apart from the rest: each record has its own unique QR code, which, when scanned, will contribute to the unlocking of bonus content via a modern, interactive visual experience on the Supervoid website. My Favorite Robot welcome the collaborative outfit of Rodion & Local Suicide for their next EP, which comes boosted by
remixes from Los Mekanikos, Moscoman and Fairmont, as well as artwork that is made up 3D prints of the act.
Rodion is an Italian classical piano player and acclaimed producer whose albums and EPs for the likes of Gomma, Nein
& Nang have helped to reshape modern disco. Also one half of Alien Alien and boss of the Roccodisco label, he is a real
studio visionary who for ten years has mixed up classical, trance and psychedelic sounds. He makes everything from
chamber music to computer game soundtracks, has remixed Giorgio Moroder and counts the likes of Tim Sweeney, Erol
Alkan and DJ Hell as fans. Berlin-based duo/couple Brax Moody and Vamparela aka Local Suicide have been
collaborating together since 2007, either as a DJ duo, in bands, or as remixers and producers. They have played all over
the world and are in favour with the likes of XLR8R, Thump and Mixmag for their fusions of slow techno, post disco and
acid.
These original analog tracks were recorded between 2014 and 2016 in Rodion s vintage studio in Berlin. They came about
when they all met following one of his gigs just after he moved there, and after being in touch online for a while. During
one of the nights, Rodion brought friend, producer and singer Ali Bey (part of the Belgrade DJ collective Beyond House
and a famous record digger) to contribute.
Impressive opener Abu Dhabi includes samples from field recordings from all over the world. The most prominent is the
recording from an airport in Bangkok where Brax Moody and Vamparela were waiting to catch their plane to Saigon
and it ended up being the main vocal hook. The alluring track is a wonky feeling number with gurgling synth lines and
gentle releases of white noise lulling you into the groove. A searching synth line and distant siren add urgency and the
whole thing feels urban and futuristic.
Comprised of Mexico City producers Max Jones and Eddie Mercury, Los Mekanikos combine raw hypno-rhythm tracks
with pumping grooves that pay homage to Chicago, Detroit and Berlin. Their special remix is another late night and
unhinged number that encourages you to freak out amongst the panning and paranoid synth patterns and robotic grooves.
Then comes the brilliant True Love Floats with Ali Beys singing and Vamparela s vocoded vocals. The interplay between
the two is tense and alien and makes for a perfectly inhuman groove with popping bell sounds, undulating pads and spooky
deep space ambiance.
Remixing this one is Berlin via Tel Aviv artist of the moment and Disco Halal label head Moscoman, whose raw machine
grooves have impressed on labels like ESP Institute, Correspondant and I'm a Cliche. His slow and purposeful version is
deep and psychedelic with disorientating vocals and blistered synths wallowing in a menacing urban landscape. Buy it
digitally and you will also get a fine remix from label regular and Canadian Fairmont. He runs the Beachcoma label, has
worked with cult outlet Border Community over the years and mixes up dark disco and goth into his own fresh sounds. His
remix here is more direct and driven, with powerful drums and well sculpted synths making it another great rework.
This is a unique sounding package featuring plenty of heavyweight names and marks another cultured outing from the
always considered My Favourite Robot label.

"We Are What You Think We Are" is a 3 part compilation celebrating 10 releases from New York-based label and promoters Lost Soul Enterprises. The groupings of artists on each 12" represent slightly different sonic territory, from darkwave and synthpop, to acid and electro, to industrial techno, all of which together have come to define the identity of the label and the community surrounding its legendary parties.

The first trunk repress of this classic lost post punk single was way back in 2010. They all sold very fast. The original 7' then shot to £500+ if you can ever find one. And the Trunk 12' repress is now about £50. Three record companies approached Trunk in the last month to repress it, but it was easier just to repress this classic 12' with the original version, a radio edit and three further edits from various underground superstars.

Jive baby On A Sturday Night' is incredibly hooky. It was originally played by John Peel back in the day, but as a privately pressed record with no distribution apart from being carried about ina sprts holdall, it sold just 30 copies.

Rediscovered by Thurston Moore in 2009, this super hip single is now back out with the full original version plus edits and mixes by Lemon Jelly's Fred Deakin, Tommy Stupid and Georges Vert, AKA the Advisory Circle.

Toddla T's third full length project, Foreign Light perfectly showcases his progression and maturity as a producer, and will be released on Toddla's very own label, Steeze.

Running through the project are the supreme vocals of Andrea Martin, a vocalist who has worked with the likes of Toni Braxton, En Vogue, Angie Stone, Paloma Faith and even Naughty Boy. Not content with this powerful melodic story, Toddla has also enlisted the talents of Wiley, Stefflon Don, CasIsDead, Chilly Gonzales, and Coco, with executive production from Benji B.

One year on since their last venture as Black Spuma on International Feel, Fabrizio Mammarella, also known as Telespazio and Phillip Lauer, one half of Tuff City Kids, are back with the insatiable Orme EP. Showcasing the pair at their best, this four tracker is where acid meets emotive melodies and shimmering Italo synths lines. In the words of Phillip Lauer it's where "balearic vibes, acid love and a lost tape from 1991 merge into pure bliss!.." The pair first met when Phillip (trading as Arto Mwambe) remixed a Telespazio track. They started working together in 2015 when their first joint release Oasi was released on International Feel. An integral part of the label, Lauer recently released the highly acclaimed self-titled Talamanca System album on International Feel alongside Gerd Janson and label boss Mark Barrott. Both Lauer and Mammarella have a history of quality releases on great labels: Running Back, Beats In Space, Permanent Vacation and Rollerboys Recordings.

DC175 comes courtesy of Alias, a new project comprising of Harvey & Ryan McKay, who are two acts who have previously released solo material on the label. Harvey McKay's last appearance was in late 2016 when he dropped 'The Mad Drummer' on A-Sides Vol. 4 whereas Ryan McKay's last outing was in 2015 when he appeared on A-Sides Vol.3 under the name Skiver. This is the first collaborative project between the Scottish duo under their new moniker Alias.The EP opens with 'Pentatonic'; A tough sounding track that has been designed for the forward-thinkers. 'The Truth' follows up sharply, with vintage piano stabs and a vocal that gives the track abounding energy. The on-point percussion leads you on a trip of pure rapture. The release closes with the apocalyptic 'Dream Taker', which is teeming with sinister vocal action and hostile synth work and a sublime way to sign off.

Mr. Fries returns to WOLF with some more MPC goodness. LB aka LABAT rounds of the EP with a remix deeper than deep.

The 2nd release on Youth comes from London artist Shamos. With Lyster having met Shamos through NTS it wasn't long before they were DJ'ing together around parties in London and Shamos began sharing music with him. Shamos, who last released on Funkinevens Apron label, comes with a heavy 4 tracker bringing the punkier dregs of new wave, dreamy abstract house and tripped out hardware jams, on limited red vinyl.

Mercury Prize-nominated Portico Quartet has always been an impossible band to pin down. Sending out echoes of jazz, electronica, ambient music and minimalism, the group created their own singular, cinematic sound over the course of three studio albums, from their 2007 breakthrough 'Knee-Deep in the North Sea', and 2010 John Leckie produced 'Isla', to the self titled record 'Portico Quartet' in 2012. Now rebooted as Portico Quartet after a brief spell as the three-piece Portico, the group are set to release their fourth studio album Art In The Age Of Automation this August on Manchester's forward thinking indy jazz and electronica label Gondwana Records. It's an eagerly anticipated return, with the band teasing both a return to their mesmeric signature sound and fresh new sonic departures in their new music. Copenhagen's Echocord Colour returns this August with Stephen Brown's 'Power Factor' EP, featuring three originals from the UK Techno stalwart.
Scottish producer Stephen Brown is a name synonymous with Techno across the globe having been releasing material since the mid nineties on imprints such as Derrick May's Transmat, Subject Detroit, Skudge Records, Ben Sims' Theory and Holland's Djax Up Beats amongst many more.
Here we see Brown join the roster of Echocord's sub-label Colour, slotting him in alongside the likes of Mike Dehnert, Nick Ho¨ppner, Luke Hess and Deadbeat in the back- catalogue.
Up first on the release is 'Sandtext', a stripped-back dubbed out opening cut fuelled by a robust kick and minute percussive hits running alongside a sturdy sub bass drive and spiralling dub stabs before 'Wet' takes things even deeper via muted kicks, shuffling shakers and delayed synth chords. 'Back Stroke' then rounds out the release with an amalgamation of airy reverberated stab hits, rumbling low end pulsations and a thunderous kick drum to once again create an understated, hypnotic composition.

Frak are Björn Isgren, Johan Sturesson and Jan Svensson, a trio of synthesizer lovers from Sweden. The band was formed when Svensson and Isgren's older sisters were best friends and they introduced their little brothers to each other. Inspired by Severed Heads, DAF, Human League, Devo, Skinny Puppy, the boys began collecting analog equipment and started Studio Styrka. While the band were still in their early teens they released the first FRAK cassette album in 1987 on their own record label Börft.

Almost 30 years later, FRAK continue to release their bizarre brand of Scandinavian techno with their debut release on Dark Entries. 'Sudden Haircut' was recorded in 2015, a ten-minute brooding, heavy hitting acid attack full of 808 drum claps aimed at the dance floor. The three remaining songs come from a studio tape the band found in their archives named 'FRAK "After The Silence" 2001-2010' 'Synthgök' and 'Synthfrilla' were recorded in 2010 and originally released on the 'Börft' EP by Sex Tag Mania in 2012. Utilizing a 808, 303, 101 and MS-10, both are supreme cuts of electro leaning acid techno that perfectly fit the sweatiest moments of any club land experience. The deliciously rugged final track 'First Glimt I Ögat' is a vintage unreleased Frak song from 2001 recorded one month before the track 'Second Coming' (later released as B1 on 'Börft' EP).

All songs have been mastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Designer Eloise Leigh has created a playful DIY jacket based on a mysterious black and white photo of the band in their classic tin foil masks. Each copy comes with a black and white postcard featuring a distorted back stage photo of FRAK in their teens. 'Forget all you know about Swedish electronic music, this is Börft crew, the core underground of "söta bror's" techno history - here represented by Frak - a full out techno acid punch.' Juno Records

Brand new label from Copenhagen exploring the universe of chord/dubtechno run by the host of the legendary TweakFM show, Johnny Fredsgaard aka Kvadrant. First release contains four solid dub influenced tracks made by Ohm and the label owner himself. Ohm needs no introduction as he is a well established Icelandic artist and a part of the label family around the Thule label. Over the years he has teamed up with artists such as Exos and Octal Industries with whom he already released two EPs in 2017 on RAWAX and Taped Artifact. Ejer is made for the dancefloor with its heavy rhythm, characteristic Roland Space Echo delayed chords and a stunning break which will make the floor burn as soon as the bass kicks in. Laki is a fast paced track with repetitive chords and heavy kick. Octal Industries takes Laki to a deeper level and delivers a stand out groovy remix of the track and adds a bit of a melodic flow to it. Yding is a groovy crossover track which fits well in the world between techno and house. Watch out for the phat funky bassline.

* As it's first full length release, Love What You Feel is proud to present Chicanismo, the debut album by Santiago Salazar. Known for his work with Underground Resistance, ICAN Productions, as well as solo releases on many notable labels, Santiago brings his working man's house and techno into the world in its most pure form on this album. His use of a variety of rhythms and beautiful melodies puts him in the upper echelon of dance music producers today, and the results here are just as satisfying at home as they are in on the dancefloor.

* By mixing his Chicano roots with his time spent in Detroit, Santiago has created a timeless musical statement on behalf of the underdogs whose contributions to house and techno are often paid lip service to, but are much more rarely realized. The groove here is just as important as the harmonies, and they work together to achieve something very special on Chicanismo. This is music that lifts the spirit to a higher plane, the true definition of soul music.

* The debut release by Austin, TX, artist Disco Nihilist combines acid and deep house to create a timeless EP. Influenced heavily by old school Chicago house and New York's great Nu Groove records, all four tracks were made with simple hardware and recorded to cassette tape giving this record a physical presence that computer-produced tunes can't touch. Despite the limited production tools, each track has its own distinctive flavor: pumping chords, looped bleeps, dub echoes, and jacking beats make for a diverse yet coherent sound throughout the EP.

Russian duo Gamayun, known for releases under the Udacha label, make their way to Hesperian Sound with 4 jazz-laced live grooves. Occupying a space between tropical Balearic and moody Deep House, this EP offers both rich melody and rhythmic excellence in tandem. The lead off track "Golden Ratio" harkens to the past with its ornamented theme and classically inspired strings, while "Ascension" chugs forward, bringing along sweet piano and synth riffs. On the flip, "Untitled" is dubbed out melancholic perfection as "Uvolnenie" closes with shuffling techno followed by a mellow bow out.

The Cologne based Techno label 'Sector Music' starts with its first release from 'Sector Cologne' founder Kavaro and two stunning versions of his tracks from NX1 and Milton Bradley. Kavaro started the well known event series 'Sector' more than 4 years ago and plays as well as a resident dj there. After many years organizing his events and staying behind the turntables it was time for him to make music itself. At Sector he played along James Ruskin, Rrose, Paula Temple, Dasha Rush, Ancient Methods, Inigo Kennedy, Vatican Shadow and many more great artists. Milton Bradley from Berlin played already 3 times at Sector and the spanish duo NX1 played live in the first year of the event series. The new record label Sector Music will always have a connection to the Sector Events. Emotional Rescue and Jamwax come together to present the first of three essential 12's from NY/Jamaican label Capo Disco, all officially licensed and remastered for the first time. The brainchild of reggae vocalist, musician, producer and label owner Glen Adams, the label married disco with his Caribbean roots to perfection. TIP! Born and raised in Jamaica, Adams story is a similar one to the performers of the golden period post-Independence. Initially discovered as a vocalist by Coxsone Dodd, he went on to work with such luminaries as Ken Boothe and Stranger Cole before co-founding The Heptones and working Duke Reid, Bunny Lee and Lloyd Charmers.
As a session organist he worked for The Hippy Boys, The Reggae Boys and later with Lee Perry's The Upsetters. Here he came in to the orbit of The Wailors, touring England with them in the early 70s and with Perry co-wrote Mr Brown. When most of The Upsetters became Marley's rhythm section, Adams stayed with Perry before making the move to Brooklyn in 1975.
There he started Capo Records, running it and it's sub-labels, successfully until the mid-80s. During these later years he ventured in to mixing Reggae with Boogie and Disco rhythms and released just four 12's under Capo Disco as well as recording boogie and hip-hop influenced releases with T Ski Valley and as Glen Adams Affair for SAM and Moonglow Records.
Here then the spotlight is on Adam's nascent disco releases and the series starts with the wonderful, uplifting A Beat For You. Actually appearing on a one off sister-label, Top Secret, this is a beautiful 'Lovers' anthem from Adams over a laidback dub-bass riddim. Backed with a simple instrumental Version, the space and interplay of the keys and guitar over drum and bass is superlative. 'There is a beat in my heart, just for you...just for you.'

The House Music Institute is the new label by Pete M.. A recognized face on the Madrid underground scene, Pete M. has been making the city dance for the past two decades mixing House with Future Disco and Techno.

His first EP, LOFT 301 - Fourth World' includes two original tracks plus a remix by Jonny Sender.
Pete M. created two original tracks with a late night vibe using a classic groove and 4/4 rhythms combined with 808 analog sounds and beats.

Pete reached out to Jonny Sender for a remix who's recently released a number of original productions and remixes. Sender, bass player in the legendary band KONK, was part of the early '80s downtown scene in New York City as well as being a long time DJ. Jumping off from the original track, Sender brings some jazzy early '80s flavor while keeping the vibe strongly rooted in the present.

Species Of Fishes was created in 1993 in Moscow during the experimental home sessions of Igor Kolyadny and Vitaly Stern, which resulted in the recording of the Songs Of A Dumb World, a sampledelic album, published on the sublabel of the Dutch Staalplaat - Kormplastics in 1994. It was followed by the album Trip Trap (1996) on the domestic label Exotica, which immediately affirmed Species of Fishes as one of the leading electronic groups in Russia. It is this seminal album that marks the first release of Nina Kraviz's new label GALAXIID.
GALAXIID runs as a sub label of , illuminating the listening side of Nina's musical taste with a focus on experimental, ambient and psychedelia. As with , GALAXIID has a strong connection to art through it's visual identity, with all the cover artworks drawn by psychedelic artists.
Trip Trap was so ahead of its time upon initial release and still sounds modernistic as it is rereleased almost 20 years later. Here, Species Of Fishes explore different genres of electronics, somehow interpreting them and creating their own unique out-of-genre stylistics, marrying different styles such as breaks and experimental in 'Health 100%', electro and ambient in 'Crash Recovery', IDM and techno in 'Bfg9000 vs. Barons Of Hell'. The 10 tracks range from short interludes '(Backspace)' and (Alt+Tab) to more lengthy tracks '(The Web)' and 'Access Depth'.

After the success of Closer to Freedom in 2014, Chicago legend DJ Jes returns to Tardis Records with the Between The Lines EP, featuring two lost tracks from his personal archives and a brand new offering. Opener 'No Fooling' is reduced to the bare essentials until an elegant snatch of piano and spoken word sample break it down further; when the track kicks back in with a vengeance everyone in the room will know all about it, but it remains subtle enough to work the day after as well. On the flip, 'Between The Lines' is tougher and dubbier and will do some serious peak-time damage, whilst new track 'Lost' is a cut-up banger for the floor and a perfect DJ tool. All tracks have been meticulously edited and rearranged by label owners Eli Verveine and Oscar Schubaq in order to extend the grooves and maximise dance floor impact.

With Bjoern Torske, Skateboard, Telephones and last not least the Sex Tags label all hailing from Bergen, the City ´s not been exactly short on world leading 'd.i.s.c.o' , but it´s Geir Hermansen aka Velferd that recently cought our ear with his keys. In 'The City that Drowned' it´s unlikely only ever so wet, there´s bliss, sun, warmth, heat - all painted bright with skyrocketing masterful synths over very neat and dry bass. great! Laid back and somehow dreamy the whole thing catches you by the ear and lingers on but then there´s so much dedicated kick and an almost extatic groove in each track - irresistable string hooks made in heaven! 'Never' and 'Through the Valley' add on to where the title song just left and this give the 3 track ep so much perfectly arranged strength... Bergen might well have given birth to another disco standard-bearer.

Emotional Rescue starts its 5th year by shining a light on one of Europe's best underground 80s' label in Spain's Auxilio De Ciento. Their Terra Incognita Volumes I and II collated an international mix of synth-pop, new wave, world and industrial sounds to a small but appreciative following. Released in 1985 and 1986, the Volumes have become highly regarded and rightly sought after, finding a place in discerning playlists from London to Amsterdam and Dusseldorf to Glasgow. Here, taking a premise of avoiding the songs unearthed on other recent reissues, is a unique album itself. Starting with Denis Mpunga & Paul K's esoteric Criola, a fusion of fourth world ideals and poly-rhythmic funk. The music of Mal, Bene Gesserit and La Caida De La Casa Usher, however, soon highlight that the decade also belonged to dark, minimal synth as to shiny balearic ideals. The inclusion of Hector Zazou with Bony Biyake and their contribution Komba, is a fitting continuation from their cult Noir Et Blanc LP before, things continue with US avant-artist Danny Alias and his humorous Big Brother "response" to Laurie Anderson's Superman O. Image Pour Image loose indie-pop and the inclusion of seminal Beast Of Burden lead again to a Zazou contribution, this time in his collaborative Stranger In A New Light, before the compilation eclectically ends with the dadaesque Lakota and the post punk dub of Instead Of's closer, Angels .

The Outside Agency & Deathmachine - Today s Tomorrow / The Violence The Outside Agency have teamed up with permanent label fixture Deathmachine once again for yet another solid exercise in kick and snare torture. Today's Tomorrow and The Violence both serve as deeply philosophical explorations of human nature, with kickdrums and snares.

Pet Shop Boys are pleased to announce 'Catalogue: 1985-2012', a very special series of reissues of all their studio albums released on Parlophone. This definitive edition will feature each album from the duo's peerless discography on the label, remastered and released with additional 'Further listening' albums of bonus tracks, demos and mixes created in the same period of time as each album. Many tracks are being released for the first time. Each album will be accompanied by an extensive booklet in which Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe discuss each song, illustrated with many archive photographs. The entire project is designed by Farrow.
Alongside the 'Further Listening Editions' the remastered original albums will also be reissued on 180gm heavyweight vinyl.

After their highly regarded debut on Attic Music called ''Laq 02'' back in May 2016 Boston 168 are back with a 4-track spanning release named ''Khidi Rever''.
Again, the Italian duo delivers a well balanced release that cleverly touches different sides of modern day Techno music. From the slow paced chug ''Khidi Rever'' to the emotive tones of ''Blu Bridge'', the A-side already showcases the duo's versatile pallette.
On the B-side we find an acidic growler named ''J The Master'' which is heavy arms material for the festival season. Label owner ''Fabrizio Lapiana'' offers a haunting remix of ''Khidi Rever'' to close down the record.

A strange confluence of sound that sounds part Krautrock synth label Brain records, part Hyperdub.   Techno haze and synth wormholes with spectacular sound design that has banged at Berghain and soundtracked winter night drives.

Greenspan is known mainly for his work with Junior Boys and Jessy Lanza and Taraval is a longtime touring member of Caribou, but both have released several 12' and EPs of electronic exploration over the past few years. 

Inspired by synthesizer minimalists like JD Emmanuel, Cluster and John Carpenter, the two attempted to create a type of dance music with hardware that was indebted to their influences but did not feel intrinsically retrogressive. The idea was to make a type of raw synthesizer and drum machine music that could be listened to beside the hypermodern techno of Pearson Sound or Actress.  

The cover art is a tribute to a mysterious mural that looms over the Hamilton Ontario area where the album was recorded.
Each of the five tracks on the EP were edited down from much longer recording jams which were done with hardware sequencers in real time. Restive Plaggona is the music project of the Corfu-based artist Dimitris Doukas -also producing under Matriarchy Roots, Leftina Osha and Plaggona-. After releasing a series of cassettes in different labels along 2016 and 2017 -including his own Several Minor Promises- 'Leaving The Body' arrives as an electronic composition of beats and synthesizer bodies disguised as a sense of provocation and mystery. Each of the seven pieces offers more than a smattering of interesting textures separated by spans of great decline, but a master class of permutations in-between accompanying sounds, stretching rhythms and viscera-and- violence noises. Driven by a deeply expressive narrative, Restive Plaggona makes a strong statement about

his post-industrial vision adding technoid inclinations in a delightful dystopian world.

The enigmatic label from Berlin, Schakal Recordings is back with its fifth release and young DJ Lorenz Lepus is next in line. The Lepus project has gone through many guises, finally Lorenz settled on making music as a solo artist under the Lorenz Lepus alias in 2014. While still studying at school Lorenz became a resident at Chalet's Tuesday sound Department parties, cutting his teeth in the cities clubs he has played in venues including Hoppetosse, Sisyphos, Arena and many more. This dedication to his music was not without some confusion, being aware of the melan- cholic minimal tendencies of his productions he has always been loathe to pin himself to a particular genre.What with the success of his career so far.. perhaps this isn't a bad thing.
'Feral Child' is made up of two original tracks and two remixes.The title track's melody swells until it breaks down into a pulsing and rolling rhythm. 'Lost' is more immediate in its dance-floor compatibly, maintaining the rolling style Lorenz imbues his take on deep house with an emotional poignancy rarely heard. Floyd Lavine steps up for the first remix on the EP, Floyd is a resident at the legendary RISE par- ties at Watergate, with one foot in Berlin and the other in his native Cape Town Floyd delivers a beauti- fully loopy and oddball twist on 'Feral Child' adding crunching static sounds. Providing a harder take on 'Feral Child', Italies VII Circle change the rolling melody into a slow techno heater.

Leading lady and artistic talent Deniz Kurtel returns to Crosstown Rebels to explore new production sounds, venturing deeper into the realms of dub and beyond with The Fifth House. It's also with huge honour that the release includes a stunning remix from highly sophisticated producer Trevino following his recent passing.

Since her first album Music Watching Over Me was released on Crosstown Rebels back in 2011, Deniz Kurtel has continued to push boundaries creatively through her art and music. Focusing on LED light installation, Deniz has travelled the world with her stunning live show, which incorporates both of her talents. Her second album The Way We Live dropped on Wolf + Lamb in 2012 which received high acclaim. More recent releases have also appeared on Rumors and No.19.

Marcus Julian Kaye is better known by his drum and bass stage name Marcus Intalex, and also his house and techno pseudonym Trevino. He founded the record labels Soul:R, Revolve:R and Birdie which served as a platform for his music with notable recent releases also on the likes Hotflush, The Nothing Special, Aus Music and Klockworks. Such a highly respected figure in the industry, many have been shaken by Marcus' passing and in his honor all profits from his remix will be donated to the charity of his family's choice.

Now as a duo, Fabian Fenk and Philipp Koller's latest EP is the result of playful and pure studio sessions, during which they aimed to capture the often-overlooked club-friendly side of their project. Top Vibes' breakbeats come as a welcomed surprise, while Holy Rollers pairs wobbling synth pads with a vocal cameo by DJ Tennis. The standout title-track recalls hazy afterparty moments. Detroit stalwart DJ Bone delivers a focused reinterpretation on the flip, backing expertly-sampled organ takes and flanged vocal lines in an enticing bed of afro-cuban rhythms.

That was exactly what happened when we first heard DOKTA - the ex-studio engineer with the freshest take on electronic music we have heard for a long time. Fusing a fully analog working method & live instrumentation with a breathtakingly unique arrangement style, DOKTA combines all his experience working with some of the best in the business and transcends it into one hypnotic stream of genre defying mastery.

For his first EP on 20/20 we are fortunate enough to have remixes from fabric resident Jay Clarke, and a collaborative contribution from Seth Troxler and Bas Ibellini. It is a major milestone for 20/20 to finally have a Seth Troxler production on the label. He has been a great inspiration for us and hugely supportive of our output over the years. Seth went into the studio with good friend Bas and came out with a remix worthy of DOKTA's long abstract arrangements.

2x12" Australian Release - Limited to 200

Five releases strong and A Colourful Storm is cementing itself as one of the most exciting labels to watch. They've even managed to surprise us with their most ahem, "functional" record yet. Four demented bleeps'n'bloops'n'bassliners with just enough sass, sub and a beautifully complex sound palette to boot. Our pick is the 'Specialist'.

With a career spanning over 20 years worth of Djing, production and label work, Shlomi Aber has gradually cemented his position as one of the scene's cornerstones. His first outing for Figure sees the now Barcelona-based artist drawing on his many influences to deliver a tastefully rounded three- tracker. ‚Under two Worlds' grooves sublty aong a funky acid riff, while anthemic synths longilgy recall bygone moments of grandeur. This unique Aber-ability, creating a composition that is as elegantly understated as it is undoubtedly epic, also comes through on the record's B-side. Paced only at half-time and drenched in dubby reverb, the weighing beats of ‚Rumbles' engage with delicately shapedhead sounds for some seriously spaced-out head nods. ‚Matrix' is an tightly woven mesh of machinery insides, which Aber nevertheless manages to channel into a fairly straight- forward kinetic energy.

Summer has not officially kicked in yet but Antinote's new addition to its roster will sure soundtrack perfectly its upcoming warm nights: encapsulating the teenage dream of an endless summer, 18 RAYS is the moniker behind which some of the label's most steady fixtures gave a try at recording music together, somewhere straight in the heart of Paris' 18th arrondissement.

Nico Motte, Zaltan & Raphaël Top-Secret have been friends way before each of them occasionally played his part in the Parisian label and it is mainly out of this friendship that they conceived 18 RAYS, a vessel to finally give life to the band they dreamed of in their teenage years. It is safe to say that 18 RAYS has been in their mind for quite a while, but it was only last winter, after a couple of bottles of natural wine on a hazy evening, that they decided that it was time to give it a real go and to pick up the instrument each learned years ago: the guitar, the bass and
the drums.

Produced by Nico Motte - the man behind all the artworks of the label - the trio spent 5 weeks between Synth City (Motte's studio) and Red Bull Studio in Paris working on these 4 songs, each sitting somewhere between some sort of timeless and somehow aquatic dream pop and blurred visions of an eerie grunge sound, that probably
never was.

That being said, the genesis of 18 RAYS might explain why their debut EP turns out to be such an intimate affair: while it took its members down memory lane, the listener will embark on an ethereal trip, taking him to a parallel universe in which the sounds of Cocteau Twins,
