To many crowds the world over PBR Streetgang are known and loved for their talents behind the turntables, selecting at most major festivals and clubs of note but to others they are producers and remixers whose eclectic taste and evolving style has seen them enjoy longevity and critical acclaim. This album is a rare selection of originals and remixes that shows the breadth of their work.

Featuring early original hits that propelled them into the limelight, like ‘Downstroke’ and ‘J2Thab’, and more recently their stand out disco tinged nugget from their debut album ‘Late Night Party Line’.

Previously un-pressed remixes like the cult classic rework of Romathony’s – 'Bring You Up' and the slow chuggy sleaze of Bryan Ferry – One Night Stand and the teary eyed euphoria of their remix Hot Chip’s - 'Melody Of Love'.

This compilation represents an honest retrospective of the production and remix talents of PBR - always keeping true to their sound and themselves.

Here we find ourselves, among the Canadian miscreants Egregore whereupon they return from whence the wind howls like a damned choir and the Earth knows no master, to chart a broader sonic wilderness via ‘It Echoes In The Wild’. And much as sea-rogues and freebooters sought fortune upon blackened waters, so too does Egregore venture musically into diabolic and ungoverned lands. Presenting something more expansive, elemental and untamed on ‘It Echoes In The Wild’, the early occult Black Death Metal lunacy embraces atmospheric breadth equally alongside primitive force to delve deep into not only geographic wilds, but the psychological, esoteric and spiritual hinterlands at the edges of complete madness. Dark invocations and secret tongues draw forth echoes from forest and fen, cave and cliff, tempting the temporally tethered to receive the curse, all the while driven by a primal, unknowable sardonic menace. Though the voyage be perilous, to succumb to ‘It Echoes In The Wild’ is to become ensconced in a lawless dominion of the soul in service of a higher call. Mirroring nature’s unbridled forces and the hidden echoes that dwell within, Egregore’s second album takes the band’s mystical insanity and magickal perversion to the edge of the abyss and plunges forward.

Andre Lodemann is a highly regarded producer from Berlin whose debut release dropped in 2004 on Mike Grant's legendary Moods & Grooves label.
Last year saw Andre Lodemann release his Innervisions debut Leaving The Comfort Zone EP.
He has remixed for labels such as Innervisions, Buzzin' Fly, Poker Flat and Rebirth.
Squares is a brand new side-project from Fish Go Deep, focusing on completely hardware-based productions and slightly more experimental, left field deep house.
Tony Lionni continues to impress following his Osgut Ton smash Found A Place (which continues to drive dance floors into a frenzy worldwide) with releases on Versatile, Mule, Wave and Madhouse.

Heady French minimal and tech producer Janeret makes his debut on reliable Leeds label 20/20 Vision in early 2026 with four slices of pure late-night propulsion and deep introspection. The French producer stays true to his usual balance of groove and emotion while sculpting a sound that feels weightless yet grounded. It's forward thinking but with some hints of familiarity that makes it all the more engaging from the off. Side A brings the lift as 'Xpress' shimmers with euphoria, while 'Wiggy' locks into a playful, percussive swing. Flip it, and 'A Certain Era' slides into acid-touched reverie before 'Ocean Dreams' drifts home in layered, meditative bliss. This is Janeret at his best.

Wie ein schwarzer Wind, der aus längst verstummten Mooren aufsteigt, legt die irische Band Coscradh ihr zweites Album „Carving the Causeway to the Otherworld“ vor, das mit furchterregender Zauberei die Moorwege der Toten freilegt. Aus tief verwurzelter Traditionen und alter Mystik lässt das Album die sechstausend Jahre alten Eichenpfade wiederauferstehen, die von kriegführenden Stämmen unter dem kalten Blick der Druiden angelegt wurden, um in das Reich jenseits des Lebens zu gelangen, und beschwört diese verschwundenen Mühen mit der Erinnerung an die Gewalt selbst herauf. Coscradh kanalisiert den Druiden als Astronomen und Kriegsseher und ruft Mars als den Gott an, dessen rotes Licht Opfer fordert, und offenbart gälische Krieger, die sich zu Gefäßen aushöhlen und die Wut von Goac in sich eindringen lassen, um sie für den Kampf zu verschlingen. Gitarren flammen auf - brennend wie Meteore, die den Horizont durchschneiden - und lassen Riffs los, die mit der Kraft der Vorfahren durchdrungen sind. Der glühende perkussive Ansturm kracht wie Hufe auf tote Erde, während die wilde Grausamkeit der Band wie ein in den Himmel geschleuderter Kriegsschrei ausbricht, gekrönt von ruinöser Pracht. Coscradh bewohnt diesen Bereich zwischen den Welten vollständig und haucht ihrem Werk die Wut und spirituelle Kraft eines Volkes ein, das Wahrheiten in Land, Himmel und Grab gemeißelt hat. There were several biting and brave songs on her Good Souls Better Angels album, as well as the post-Covid masterpiece Stories From A Rock N Roll Heart. With World’s Gone Wrong, Lucinda ups the ante on topical songs. It is a pure reflection of our very turbulent times, intense and musically powerful.

Rouse and Raise Your Voice ist eine Zeile aus einem der bekanntesten Songs der Band, "Keep Hauling", der von mehreren Bands in Großbritannien und anderswo auf der Welt gecovert wurde. Die Vinyl-LP startet mit "Crooked Jack", dem allerersten Song, den Mark Bloomer und Andrew Cadie bei ihrem mittlerweile legendären Debüt-Gig in einer Schnapsbrennerei im Moselort Ediger-Eller im Jahr 2005 gemeinsam sangen. Das Arrangement dieses berühmten Arbeiterliedes entstand spontan in der kurzen Probe vor dem Auftritt und wurde fortan zum Maßstab für den Sound der Band. Originally released in 2011 during the second big coming of deep house, Maya Jane Coles' 'Focus Now' EP returns as part of 20/20 Vision's Full Circle 30th Anniversary series. It's been out of print for years and harks back to a very different sound from Coles, who has since spread her sonic wings into many different worlds. This reissue features all three original tracks, starting with 'Focus Now,' a soft focus and bubbly blend of pulsing synths and rubbery drums, 'Little One' which was something of a warehouse classic of its time, and 'Senseless' with Coles' own vocals and slow motion drum churn. Alongside those is 'The High Life', another syrupy and warm blend of smooth drums and aching vocal hooks that, like the rest of the cuts, is freshly remastered.

After so long it becomes harder to say new things about older things you now just do. Some things you've become. Some things you simply (never simply) are. The thing becomes a slippery notion. The self slides along with it. After this long, the story is whatever are the songs. A Self-portrait at two decades. Here are 11 new ones, from the current constellation, and a future still to come. The cement is still wet on that one. From the forest near where I now live you can hear a chorus of different birds in voice at once, competing but each defined, in defence of a territory or to attract a mate. There's an app that tells you so. I wonder, too, what that app doesn't reveal, if their nature need not share those same purposes. This is simply (never simply) how it exists. If we can't speak to the mysteries of these strategies, they at least persist, regardless of who picks up the frequency. Singing to itself, and there will always be these kinds of songs. Ralph Lawson's Leeds-based 20/20 Vision Recordings continues to mark its 30th anniversary with another special release. Full Circle Vol. Two revisits label classics through a series of fresh, heavyweight remixes. Co-founder Random Factor flips Ricardo Villalobos' seminal 'Easy Lee' into bubbling electro, all lush harmonies and tremulous bass. Bobby reimagines 'Lockdown' as a moody, propulsive 4/4 club weapon and on the B-side, Fabric resident Craig Richards strips 'Convergence' into hypnotic, percussive minimalism, while Hardway Bros' acid-tinged rework of 'Digitize' delivers rumbling low-end and twisted vocal fragments.

Die wilden Söhne Manchesters, Wode, kehren mit ihrem vierten Album „Uncrossing The Keys“ zurück und erweitern damit selbstbewusst ihren ohnehin schon beeindruckenden Sound, der auf einer düsteren Grundlage aus wildem Black Metal und eisernem Heavy Metal basiert. Nachdem sie sich von der eher geradlinigen Methodik ihres Debütalbums weiterentwickelt haben, haben Wode im Laufe ihrer Diskografie kontinuierlich Elemente aus verschiedenen dunklen Ecken des Undergrounds hinzugefügt, wobei ihr Songwriting schlanker, aber auch komplexer, fokussierter und melodischer denn je geworden ist.
„Uncrossing The Keys“ hat die Musik von Wode nicht milder gemacht, der Sound ist nach wie vor von Flammen und Wut durchdrungen, aber sie haben ein breiteres Spektrum an Stimmungen angenommen und malen mit schwärzeren, satteren Farbtönen als je zuvor. Zerklüftete Post-Punk-/Goth-Einflüsse leuchten düster in neuen Tracks wie „Saturn Shadow“ und dem verträumten Trance des atmosphärischen Instrumentalstücks „Phantom“. Das düstere Tempo und die majestätisch-nachdenkliche Stimmung der Single „Transmutation“ erinnern mit ihrer düsteren Unterströmung sowohl an Paradise Lost als auch an Amorphis, während das melancholisch-hymnische „Under Lanternlight“ mit dynamischen Melodien im Stil von Sentenced durchdrungen ist. Die Gitarren tragen manchmal einen traurigen Schimmer, ihre Hooks sind sowohl von Melancholie als auch von Bedrohung durchzogen und schweben mit Momenten elegischer Schönheit und dunkler Klage über dem Gemetzel. Der höllische, raue Gesang erhebt sich wie rituelle Gesänge aus einer anderen Zeit.
Wode beschwört Bilder einer Welt herauf, die sich ständig am Rande der Dämmerung befindet, und wirft im Verlauf der neun Tracks von „Uncrossing The Keys“ einen langen, kalten Schatten. Es herrscht ein Gefühl von Erhabenheit und Verfall, als hätte die Band ein Tor zu einem Reich geöffnet, in dem verfluchte Städte unter blutroten Himmeln schwelen und ihre Mauern ewig verlassene Hymnen widerhallen lassen. Als Ergebnis eines ständigen Evolutionsprozesses hat Wode einen wahrhaft gespenstischen und imposanten Blackened Heavy Metal geschaffen, der ein dunkles Banner hoch über einem riesigen und öden Königreich hisst.

20/20 Vision is doing a fine job of digging into its archives and reissuing genuine treasure. Next up is a Spirit Catcher classic from 2007 that has been long out of print. The Belgian pair of Jean Vanesse and Thomas Sohet really hit on a fresh sound with their blend of electro-deco and deep house and this double pack still sounds hot all these years on. From the mid-tempo and seductive boogie of 'Motown Spring' to the cosmic tech of 'Search Is Over' via the dazzling disco radiance and sleek Metro Area style vibes of 'Rollercoaster', these are sophisticated sounds that marry dancefloor clout with great sound design. Check 'Voodoo Knight' for a playful and well-worked party starter, by the way.

5 Mag has long been a bastion of real house authority, a Chicago staple that now marks two decades of tastemaking with its first-ever vinyl release. The EP comes on Rima and features a trio of unmistakably talented and rightfully revered artists, starting with raw-as-you-like hip-house master Mike Dunn. His 'Don't Let Love (Git Cha Down)' is a laid-back groove topped with percussion and imbued with machine soul. Jamie 3:26 & Danou P offer the laidback vibes of 'Keep On' with its old school chords and smooth vocals. Roy Davis Jr closes with 'Atmospheric Flight', which is another roomy sound with loveably lazy pads and percussion. Timeless stuff.

Find Deliverance“, hat uns mit seiner seltenen Mischung aus technischem Thrash und unorthodoxem, aber höchst inspiriertem Songwriting so begeistert, dass es in unsere Best-of-2022-Liste aufgenommen wurde. Aus dieser Liste wurde eine Zusammenarbeit geboren und nun geben Species mit ihrem zweiten Album „Changelings“ ihr 20 Buck Spin-Debüt. "Changelings" ist in jeder Hinsicht ein Schritt nach vorne, und es ist erstaunlich, wie viel die einzelnen Tracks und das Gesamtwerk leisten können. Das Album bietet ein Übermaß an kantigem Gitarrenkrieg, traditioneller Euro-Thrash-Aggression mit modernem Nachhall, rhythmischen Percussionsanfällen und komplizierten Basslinien, die nicht nur der Gitarre folgen, sondern mit ihr auf eine Weise dialogisieren, die dem Album ein zweites melodisches Gehirn verleiht. In Kombination fügen sich diese Elemente nahtlos zusammen und verleihen „Changelings“ seine farbenfrohe und unheimliche Vision, als hätte John Carpenter „Rust In Peace“ hinter dem Eisernen Vorhang mitproduziert. Es strotzt nur so vor Sci-Fi-Paranoia, außerirdischem Terror und einem Hauch von Bedrohung durch den Kalten Krieg. Die frühe Konvergenz von Thrash Metal und Death Metal ist auch im formwandlerischen Sound von Species unverkennbar.

Zwar gibt es mehr als genug primitive und traditionelle Thrash-Bands, doch Species beschreitet den weniger ausgetretenen Pfad des Genres, der von vorwärts gerichteter Virtuosität und einfallsreichen Experimenten geprägt ist, und zeigt, dass es immer noch genügend fruchtbaren Boden gibt, um neues musikalisches Terrain zu erschließen. Nirgendwo wird dies deutlicher als auf dem 10-minütigen Albumschlussstück „Biological Masterpiece“, wo Species alle ihre Waffen ausspielt: Hyperspeed-Attacken, dystopische Ruhephasen und instrumentale Meisterleistungen in einer klimatischen Saga jenseits von Raum und Zeit. „Changelings“ ist das seltene Album, das heutzutage immer noch die Fähigkeit hat, auf die triumphalste und euphorischste Art und Weise zu überraschen.

Fragments Of Reality is an ongoing series from 20/20 Visions that explores interplanetary sounds, and this seventh outing is another doozy. American artist Miles Mercer kicks off with the crunchy drums and big hits of his acid-laced electro-tech fusion, 'Voice Control.' Shaked flip the script with a funky minimal jam that's wired up with innocent sounding melodies and lush colours that feel psychoactive. Label curator Luther Vine then flips things once again with his punchy 'Take The Wheel' with its bold bassline and tight tech bounce, while London's Pach serves up 'Critical Emergency' which hits a sweet spot between trip-out cosmic synth work and kinetic drum programming. Four tasteful tools once more from this fine old label.

Vom Beginn des Album-Openers „Obsidian Mirror“ an ist die Atmosphäre beklemmend, dicht mit einem erstickenden Unbehagen. Man hat das Gefühl, dass etwas Zeremonielles am Werk ist, aber nicht in einer Weise, die nach Gemeinschaft strebt. Vielmehr ist es eine Tortur als Sakrament. Riffs würgen und wälzen sich in krampfhafter Unterwerfung, oszillieren zwischen langsamer Agonie und psychotischem Ausbruch, über dem ein gutturales Lamento, das so brutal ist, dass es das Blut gefrieren lässt, durch Kerkerstein gerissen wird. Jeder Track entfaltet sich wie eine Zeit, die man in der Isolation verbracht hat, gefesselt durch Ketten, den Geist langsam enträtselnd und umgeben von Erinnerungen an reale und imaginäre Qualen.

Wenn sich das epische, 14-minütige Schlussstück „Disquiet“ in einer Masse formlosen Rauschens auflöst, haben Ritual Mass den Hörer in eine Welt gezogen, in der das Leiden kein Ende, sondern eine Bedingung der Existenz ist. Cascading Misery" ist Musik für die Auflösung der Hoffnung, den Schrecken des Seins und den langen Marsch auf den Tod.

20/20 Vision's 30th birthday celebrations continue apace with another choice reissue. This one throws it over to Huxley, a prolific and accomplished producer who defined the house and garage sounds of the 2010s. This EP is from 2012 and is one of many standouts that exemplify his bass-driven style. 'Box Clever' brings big paint stabs and bubbly rhythms, 'Atonement' is a low-slung and deep cut with warm pads and silky bass and 'Feel What You Want' is full of colourful cosmic pads and more irresistible grooves. Also included is a new mix from Berlin house Queen Cinthie alongside, for the first time ever, her partner Meat. It's a chunky cut with a new school twist on classic house.

For two decades, Trad Vibe Records has been exploring and celebrating the many facets of hip-hop, funk and soul music, always driven by a passion for authentic, organic sounds. Founded in 2005, this independent French label has made its mark on the underground scene with cult releases, transatlantic collaborations and a loyalty to vinyl culture. In 20 years, Trad Vibe has brought together beatmakers, MCs and DJs around a musical vision that is both timeless and audacious. To celebrate this anniversary, the label unveils a limited vinyl edition of 300 copies, a veritable digest of its musical universe.

Side A kicks off with "Boom Bap Introduction", a track mixing jazz and boom bap in a characteristic old-school instrumentation by DJ Vince.

20/20 Vision marks its 30th anniversary with another great release here in the form of some remixes of Crazy P's iconic single 'Stop Space Return'. The late Danielle Moore's unmistakable vocals shine across two stellar reworks from Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy who infuses her cosmic, acid-laced disco energy into the track. Her Cosmodelica Remix and Dub version blend trippy 303s, cowbells and deep grooves into something suitably fresh. Also included are two classic Unabombers mixes from 2009, and they offer raw house heat and dubbed-out psychedelia that serves as a fine floor-focused reinterpretation of a beloved anthem.
