This is a brand new artist/act called DALI. DALI has a passion for analogue synths, abstract, hypnotic dance music and all things psychedelic. Don't bother looking her up on the net, social media etc. Dali is eschewing all that, to let the music do the talking for now.

Modularz welcomes back Spanish producer Kessell who has released on Modularz in the past with his joint project Exium. We are huge fans of what he does and support his take on techno. Straight up tracks for mixing with elements of tribal drum rhythms and analog synth based sequences. Don't sleep on this rhythmic gem!

Joining our label for the 4th release are Dan Andrei and Kozo, under their collaboration named AK41, a fructuous project that offers three highly complex tracks. On the A side you can find "Icebreaker" solely, an eccentric sound with a steady bassline, percussive kicks, tripping shakers and a thoughtful, mysterious melody that touches all the frequencies of your body. Turning to the B side we find "Swingenious", a groovier interpretation produced by a combination of spacey feelings and sophisticated instruments that will move every bone on the dancefloor. Closing the EP is "In Memoriam", a melancholic version that is not short of an aggressive bassline, ambiguous vocals and deep introspects, all aligned to disconnect you from the reality of routine.

When we started Ilian Tape 10 years ago in 2007, we were both basically kids at the ages of 23 (Dario) and 18 (Marco). There was no plan behind it, no concept, no promotion campaign or any budget, but just an early vision of where it could go. We wanted to build something that lasts. After a few years of playing at parties and producing music, it was the next logical step to start a label. You can clearly see us growing up through the label in terms of artwork, compiling the records and handling things. We made some mistakes along the way and there are surely things we could have done better, but looking back after 10 years now it all makes sense as it was a natural and human development with all its ups and downs.It was always a very personal project, never about making money, but about creating a platform for music we believe in and building relationships with artists in a transparent and fair way. We really appreciate that we were able to work with so many great artists, who shared the same vision and trusted in us, over all the years. Exactly one year after Developer's 5 year anniversary release on Modularz which also was also celebrated in a special label night at Berlin's premiere techno club Berghain back in November 2015. He returns for is next ep named "Dispatches from LA" Developer went to his home city of LA over the summer 2016 to play a calendar of shows in the US and to record this ep from his 2nd studio in Los Angeles. Its more of his trademark sequenced based yet hypnotic sound with a bit more of analog gear used for this one.

The Bratislava-based band 52 Hertz Whale release their new album Present Sense Impression in a collaboration of the labels Weltschmerzen and Full Moon Forum.

Three years since their album I've Met a Lot of People, the band brings forth a lot of new ideas, finding a new resonant space, and utilising the fierceness // savageness of their live shows, in an intimate stare at contemporary guitar music.

52 Hertz Whale is a band well known in the Central European music context. Their ferocious sound, mixing the intensity of post-punk, heavy guitar wails, and melancholic // stark vocals of Dominik Prok has been tearing down the fixtures of many festivals and venues, all the while being a great example of a band driving at 200mph nonstop. On Present Sense Impression, the band, composed of Dominik Prok, Dominik Fabian, Patrik Nagy, Tomáš Tabiš and Adrián Krišák, have arrived at a record full of manifold manifestations of their live sound, but at times recalling the more marginal waves of 80s pop // rock sound. Resolute drums, heavyweight guitar and bass riffs now deem closer to the lightness of early ethereal darkwave, just to indulge in the classic melancholic heaviness they are known for only seconds after.

Some of the songs have been produced by "Prague's favorite rock'n'roll enfant terrible" Lazer Viking as well as Pulp Studio's Jakub Hríbik, and one features a special guest - the cemballo virtuoso Marcel Comendant. The traditionally stunning artwork was created by the accomplished Martin Mesaroš.

Present Sense Impression is the 20th album released under the Slovak romantic // experimental label Weltschmerzen focused on emotionally hypercharged, humanely intertwined, and acutely sounding contemporary music. This time in collaboration with the czech label Full Moon Forum. It releases August 26th on limited edition baby pink, standard edition black vinyl and on all streaming platforms.

The creation and release of this record have been supported using public funding by the Slovak Arts Council, and SOZA. Fullmoon Forum project was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

"Solaris", das zwölfte Studioalbum von The Ocean, würdigt die bisherige Entwicklung der Band und verleiht ihr eine neue, intensive Note. Mit Mitgliedern aus sechs verschiedenen Ländern im Kern-Line-up kehrt The Ocean zu einer kollektiven Besetzung zurück und schöpft aus dem Erfahrungsschatz und Talent eines Pools außergewöhnlicher Musiker. Nachdem man mit dem Vorgängeralbum "Holocene" einen anderen Weg eingeschlagen hatte, zeichnet für den weitläufigen, organischen Klang von "Solaris" erneut der schwedische Produzent Jens Bogren verantwortlich, der bereits die beliebtesten Alben der Band - "Pelagial" sowie "Phanerozoic I" und "II" - abgemischt hat. Das neue Album stellt die Sänger*innen Lane Shi und Enrico Tiberi sowie die Gitarristen Emmanuel Jessua und Marco Gennaro vor; sie ergänzen den Gründungs-Gitarristen Robin Staps, den langjährigen Bassisten Mattias Hägerstrand und Schlagzeuger Jordi Farré. Jeder von ihnen bringt seine ganz eigene Note ein, um dieses fast 70-minütige Opus zum Leben zu erwecken - ein Werk, das für The Ocean hinsichtlich Ambition und erzählerischer Tiefe einen neuen Höhepunkt darstellt. Für die Aufnahmen wurde der Kreis der Mitwirkenden noch weiter gefasst: Thorsten Quaeschning (Tangerine Dream) steuerte modulare Synthesizer bei, der griechische Komponist Orestis Zafiriou (Playgrounded) lieferte ebenfalls Elektronik- und Synthie-Elemente, und Simen Eifring von der norwegischen Post-Rock-Band Spurv übernahm den Posaunenpart. Aufgenommen wurde das Album in den legendären Berliner Hansa Studios, wo bereits Klassiker wie David Bowies Low und Heroes, Iggy Pops Lust For Life und Depeche Modes Construction Time Again entstanden. Innerhalb dieser Studiowände entwickelte sich "Solaris" zu einem lebendigen Zeugnis für die Kraft von Entdeckergeist und Teamarbeit. Da der neue Sänger Tiberi zudem ein versierter Pianist und Multiinstrumentalist ist, wurden Klänge von Celesta, Flügel, Rhodes-Piano und Hammond-Orgel zu einem integralen und unverwechselbaren Bestandteil des Solaris-Sounds. Der für The Ocean typische, atmosphärische Post-Metal wird durch den experimentierfreudigen Geist der neuen Mitglieder sowie die Beiträge der exzellenten Gastmusiker bereichert. Die CD und 2LP Gatefold-Sleeves sind jeweils auf 360g Spezial-Karton gefertigt und auf Vorder- wie Rückseite mit roter Metallic-Heißfolien-Prägung veredelt. Die CD mit 6seitigem Fold-Out-Booklet, die 2LP in bedruckten Innenhüllen kommt zusätzlich mit A2-Poster.

Italian producer Stefano Tirone aka S-Tone Inc. and Brazilian singer-songwriter Toco join forces for DONA DIVA / FUNKY GAFIEIRA, an exciting two-track project celebrating the golden era of Brazilian soul-funk from the 1970s. Released by Schema Records, the project will be available digitally and on limited 7-inch vinyl from 26th June 2026.
DONA DIVA, released as a stand-alone digital single in May, is built around Tirone’s infectious bass lines and guitar work; it pays tribute to the golden era of the late ’70s and early ’80s Brazilian funk and soul music, and to Rio de Janeiro’s vibrant spirit party scene. This record’s B-side FUNKY GAFIEIRA dives even deeper into the duo’s rich tropical groove, a lush, cinematic journey straight into the heart of Rio — evoking smoky dancefloors, tropical nights and the timeless spirit of Brazilian dance parties.
Both tracks benefit from Tirone’s warm production and feature Toco’s silky melodies, the captivating vocal colours of Priscila Ribas and special contributions from trombonist Gianluca Petrella, creating a warm groove-laden atmosphere where retro flavour blends with contemporary production, creating a sound that feels both timeless and fresh.

In collaborating with iconic vocalists Matthew K. Heafy (Trivium), Josh Middleton (Sylosis) and Anthony Lucero (Cult Leader), Burner take a striking step forward to claim new territory while consolidating their extreme and unique sound into the heaviest and bleakest incarnation of their craft yet. Vocalist Harry Nott elaborates on the themes behind the new album: "If It All Returns To Nothing looked outwards to the world's chaos throughout history, No One Is Coming To Save Us instead looks inwards at its proposed cause; humanity's violent, animalistic nature, begging us for change. This is an album about human behaviour: that people create endless cycles of violence by repeating the mistakes of the past, forging a brutal history that we fail to learn from. But, at the same time, the album is about questioning whether we can ever get past those sins and repetitions. This is a record that is mournful as much as it is angry and engaged. It longs to bitterly recall the moments of greatness and sacrifice in our shared history that created the better world we currently destroy. Steeped in warm 70s inspired sounds, hypnotic grooves, expansive jams and heavy psychedelic atmospheres, Vol. II travels from the dusty landscapes of the Californian desert to more mystical and introspective territories. The album features special appearances by Sergio Ch. (Los Natas, Soldati) on "Blu Bus" and Dome La Muerte on "Ritualism" and "La Muerte". Die britische Singer-Songwriterin und Musikerin Martina Topley-Bird wurde durch ihre Zusammenarbeit mit
den Trip-Hop-Pionieren Tricky und Massive Attack in der Musikbranche bekannt. Besonders hervorzuheben
ist ihr gefühlvoller Gesang auf dem Track ”Teardrop” von Massive Attack aus deren Album ”Mezzanine”,
der zu seiner atmosphärischen Wirkung beiträgt. Auch auf Trickys Debütalbum ”Maxinquaye” (1995)
hat ihre eindringliche Stimme den unverwechselbaren Sound geprägt. Als sie 2003 zu einer Solokarriere
überging, erntete sie mit ihrem für den Mercury Award nominierten Debütalbum ”Quixotic”, das bei Independiente Records erschien, großen Beifall der Kritiker. 2004 erweiterte Topley-Bird ihre Zusammenarbeit
und lieh ihre Stimme den Gorillaz-Tracks ”All Alone” und ”Kids with Guns” von deren Debütalbum ”Demon
Days”. Seitdem hat sie weitere Alben veröffentlicht, darunter ”Anything” (2004), ”The Blue God” (2008)
und ”Some Place Simple” (2010).
Martina Topley-Birds von der Kritik hochgelobtes und für den Mercury Award nominiertes Debütalbum

Children of Zeus return with their third studio album ‘As The World Burns…’

Five years on from their highly-acclaimed sophomore album ‘Balance’, Manchester’s kings of hip hop soul, Tyler Daley and Konny Kon, bring us a brand new 16-track opus.

Sonically the duo continue their story where they left off; crafting an amalgamation of street soul, alternative r&b and boom bap hip hop, with a sprinkle of flavours taken from their original multi-genre pirate radio influences, and a dash of forward-thinking new sounds, ensuring all tracks are destined to become future classics.

The features are sparing but powerful, enlisting the talents of revered UK rapper Knucks (‘Before We Drown’), Colorado-native Young Old Soul (‘Dopamine’), MCR family K S R (‘Do You Want To Get High’, & Australian/Mauritian up & comer Anieszka (‘Water & Vibes’).

As with previous projects, this album is largely produced by the duo themselves, though there are guest productions from previous collaborators too, including Grammy Award-winner Beat Butcha, Grammy-nominated Teo, and broken beat pioneer K15, along with an assortment of new players making moves in the underground neo-soul & beats circuit.

Conceptually, this project continues on with the story to date. An eternal search for sunsets and soulfood, as a respite to the anxieties of the modern world; personally, professionally and globally. There’s no preaching to be found here; just an acceptance of things as they are, an embrace of the environment and people they were nurtured by, and a celebration of some of the finer things in life; slow jams, weed & rum, water & vibes. Since the release of their anthemic debut single ‘Still Standing’ a decade ago, to the subsequent EP ‘The Story So Far’, and their critically-lauded debut album ‘Travel Light’, the duo have received numerous accolades, including nominations for AIM Awards & Worldwide Awards both, along with tons of ‘Album of the Year’ nods care of Clash Magazine, Bandcamp, Complex, Wordplay and many more. Produced by Haley Heynderickx, 'This Bed Was Made For Me' is a striking collection of stirring, signature folk songs animated by subtle instrumentation and orchestral flourishes. It feels lived in: vocals weave together in a beautiful harmonic dance, seasons shift, sunshine appears and bold psychedelic colours warm the horizon.

In the early stages of making her debut album, Biita Houdei knew two things: that she wanted the recordings to feel distinctly and palpably warm, and that she would sew a unique patch for every song on the album. The first of those things is subjective, though brightness pours in from all corners of This Bed Was Made For Me. The second became a laborious task she undertook throughout the process, the completion of which is testament to the slow process of it all, to the physical commitment and patience required to make a full work of art.

The patches she crafted during the making of This Bed Was Made For Me became a full quilt, one that now adorns the album’s front cover. Beneath it sits a striking collection of Houdei’s stirring, signature folk songs, brought into fruition with the help of fellow songwriter Haley Heynderickx, in her first lead production role, and the album’s producer/engineer Sahil Ansari. It’s also the first release Biita (pronounced “bee-tah”) is releasing under her newly-taken name, one that was gifted to her by her auntie and means "unique" in the Farsi language. “I proudly take this name,” Biita says of the change. “It makes me feel that much closer to my Persian heritage.”

Recorded across ten back-to-back and full days, the album touches on themes of love and heritage, of taking chances, the preciousness of time and the impact we all have on the world around us. A number of the songs were written in Topanga, California, while Biita settled into a new home as wild fires raged, and as she adjusted to a life which no longer held distinct seasonal changes, far from the Ozark Mountain home she felt so attached to. Such themes reveal themselves in a variety of ways across the album’s fourteen songs, that key sense of warmth retained in the bones of the album whether they are stepping into darkness or seeking out light.

The album feels lived in and alive; dust swirls, seasons shift, sunshine appears and is held. Biita calls it ‘psychedelic’ and there is indeed a sense of that in the world building, in the way the bold colours are always shifting. Formed of fourteen songs, and filling nearly forty-five minutes, This Bed Was Made For Me not only builds a whole world for listeners to inhabit but also implores you to stay a while. This was deliberate, indeed it’s Biita’s wish that listeners give the album dedicated time; to learn its shape, to explore it fully, away from the instant grab of playlists and skewed algorithms.

“Many of my favourite albums didn’t reveal themselves instantly to me,” Biita, now based in the Catskill Mountains of New York, explains. “Some did, of course, but I had to work to understand the full scope of the piece as a whole. I encourage people to dive deeper into everything that they choose to consume. It is not my intention to sound pretentious, but instead, I am trying harder to explain the gratitude I have for being able to craft every part of this album— using my hands, my brain, my voice, my visions. To me, it is an all encompassing work of art,” she continues. “Making the quilt was laborious. Taking the cover photo was laborious. No shortcuts, but rather a manual and tangible approach. I am thankful for the time it took.”

,Teranga", das letzte Album der Wau Wau Collectif-Trilogie - dieser verträumten, kulturübergreifenden Zusammenarbeit -, zeigt, wie die Band endlich zu einer Einheit zusammenwächst. Der Name leitet sich vom Wolof-Wort ,Teranga" ab, das für Herzlichkeit, Gastfreundschaft gegenüber anderen und - ganz allgemein - für ein gemeinsames Zusammentreffen steht - ein passender Titel für das Album, das selbst Ausdruck einer solchen Begegnung ist. Das Projekt begann 2018 im Dorf Toubab Dialaw, wo die beiden Musiker Arouna Kane und Karl-Jonas Winquist die Idee erstmals hatten. In den folgenden Jahren entwickelte sich das Projekt weiter: Die beiden Produzenten tauschten über WhatsApp Dateien aus und bezogen ihr Netzwerk aus Freunden und Kollegen in das ein, was später zum Wau Wau Collectif werden sollte - was schließlich in ihren ersten Alben ,Yaral Sa Doom" (2021) und ,Mariage" (2022) gipfelte. Ihr neuestes Album, ,Teranga", ist der dritte und letzte Teil dieser Trilogie, der während der ersten Live-Tour der Band fertiggestellt und abgemischt wurde - eine fünfwöchige, weitreichende Reise quer durch Europa mit ,drei Schweden, drei Senegalesinnen und einem französischen Fahrer, ein herrliches Sprachengewirr", wie Karl-Jonas erklärt. Das Herzstück von Wau Wau Collectif ist ein starkes musikalisches Fundament, das nicht nur auf dem breiten kulturellen Spektrum beruht, aus dem sich das Kollektiv inspirieren lässt, sondern auch auf den äußerst talentierten Musikern - komponiert und eingespielt von sage und schreibe 26 verschiedenen Songwritern und Musikern, die eine beeindruckende Bandbreite an Instrumenten spielen, darunter Balfon, Ngoni, Calabasse, Violine, Cello, Saxophon und Omnicord. Der daraus resultierende Sound lässt sich nur schwer einordnen, hat aber klanglich zweifellos seinen Platz in Teranga gefunden. Mal verträumt und meditativ, aber durchdrungen von einer organischen Seele - ein völlig einzigartiger Sound, der zugleich anachronistisch und zukunftsweisend ist. ,Oh, Africa" könnte auf einer klassischen Neuauflage zu Hause sein, mit einem fast türkisch anmutenden Gitarrenriff, während ,100 ans" (ihre erste Live-Studioaufnahme) an Amadou et Mariam aus den frühen 2000er Jahren erinnert. Mit Wurzeln in der Avantgarde (Karl-Jonas hat Barney Wilens ,Moshi" als Inspiration genannt), während Wau Wau sich von diesen Experimenten inspirieren lässt, auch wenn sie in ihrem Bekenntnis zum Gemeinschaftsgeist davon abweichen - ein Projekt, das durch Handys, WhatsApp und im Internet kursierende MP3s ermöglicht wird -, was leicht ironisch wirkt, wenn man bedenkt, wie akustisch, bodenständig und menschlich es sich anfühlt. Während wir das Kapitel der Trilogie abschließen, betont Karl-Jonas, dass dies vielleicht erst der Anfang ist: ,In gewisser Weise haben wir gerade erst angefangen", sagt er. Für das nächste Jahr zeichnen sich Pläne ab, die ganze Band zusammenzubringen, und es stehen weitere Tourneen bevor - mehr Hoffnung, mehr Menschlichkeit und mehr Zusammenhalt.

Das Branford Marsalis Quartet und Sängerin Dianne Reeves veröffentlichen mit „Dedicated To You“ eine
außergewöhnliche Hommage an John Coltrane zum 100. Geburtstag der Jazz-Ikone. Gemeinsam mit
Dianne Reeves präsentieren der legendäre Saxofonist, Pianist Joey Calderazzo, Bassist Eric Revis und
Schlagzeuger Justin Faulkner neue Interpretationen jener sechs Standards, die 1963 auf dem berühmten
Album ”John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman” (Impulse! Records) erschienen. Ergänzt wird das Repertoire
durch instrumentale Neuinterpretationen ausgewählter Coltrane-Kompositionen wie „Central Park West“,
„26-2“ und „Big Nick“, die das Album zu einer facettenreichen Hommage an einen der einflussreichsten
Musiker der Jazzgeschichte machen. Das Album verbindet höchste musikalische Virtuosität mit emotionaler
Intensität und zeigt eindrucksvoll, wie zeitlos Coltranes Musik bis heute geblieben ist.

„Ein bisschen Frieden“, „Flieg nicht so hoch, mein kleiner Freund“, „Papillon“, „Ein leises Lied“, „Mit dir vielleicht“, „Allein in Griechenland“ oder „Ich bin zurück“. Diese Hits von Nicole kennt wohl jeder und kann jeder mitsingen.

Nicole ist die die Grande Dame der deutschen Popschlagerszene, seit vielen Jahren auf den größten, schillerndsten Bühnen unterwegs. Aber sie liebt auch die Zurückgezogenheit, um als klassische Singer-Songwriterin an ihrer Musik zu arbeiten. Sie schafft es ehrliche Einsichten und pures Gefühl, in bewegende Songs zu übersetzen, die gerade durch diesen Tiefgang so faszinierend und zeitlos sind.

2024 feierte Nicole Ihren 60. Geburtstag und setzte diesen Trend fort. Das Album „Carpe Diem“ gilt als eines ihrer Besten und wurde mit einem Chart-Eintritt gekürt.

Stillstand hat es für Nicole nie gegeben – auch 2026, nach 45 Jahren auf der Bühne, nicht. Bereits die erste Single „Ich will mehr“ machte deutlich, wohin die Reise geht: nach vorne. Mit ihrem neuen Album „Meine Schätze“ blickt Nicole auf ihre außergewöhnliche Karriere zurück und setzt gleichzeitig ein kraftvolles Zeichen für Aufbruch, neue Wege und echte Lebensfreude.

„Meine Schätze“ produziert von ihrem kongenialen Produzententeam – Achim Meier, Zoran Grujovski und Jens Carstens, ist dabei kein klassisches Best-of-Album. Stattdessen hat Nicole ganz persönliche Songperlen aus 45 Jahren ausgewählt – Lieder, die sie geprägt, begleitet und inspiriert haben. Dazu gehört auch ihre gefühlvolle Interpretation des Don-McLean-Klassikers „And I Love You So“.

Children of Zeus return with their third studio album ‘As The World Burns…’

Five years on from their highly-acclaimed sophomore album ‘Balance’, Manchester’s kings of hip hop soul, Tyler Daley and Konny Kon, bring us a brand new 16-track opus.

Sonically the duo continue their story where they left off; crafting an amalgamation of street soul, alternative r&b and boom bap hip hop, with a sprinkle of flavours taken from their original multi-genre pirate radio influences, and a dash of forward-thinking new sounds, ensuring all tracks are destined to become future classics.

The features are sparing but powerful, enlisting the talents of revered UK rapper Knucks (‘Before We Drown’), Colorado-native Young Old Soul (‘Dopamine’), MCR family K S R (‘Do You Want To Get High’, & Australian/Mauritian up & comer Anieszka (‘Water & Vibes’).

As with previous projects, this album is largely produced by the duo themselves, though there are guest productions from previous collaborators too, including Grammy Award-winner Beat Butcha, Grammy-nominated Teo, and broken beat pioneer K15, along with an assortment of new players making moves in the underground neo-soul & beats circuit.

Conceptually, this project continues on with the story to date. An eternal search for sunsets and soulfood, as a respite to the anxieties of the modern world; personally, professionally and globally. Assertive swagger is matched with brutal but sincere candidity. As ever, it encapsulates the rough with the smooth, with reflections on where they’ve been, where they’re at and where they’re headed. There’s no preaching to be found here; just an acceptance of things as they are, an embrace of the environment and people they were nurtured by, and a celebration of some of the finer things in life; slow jams, weed & rum, water & vibes. Since the release of their anthemic debut single ‘Still Standing’ a decade ago, to the subsequent EP ‘The Story So Far’, and their critically-lauded debut album ‘Travel Light’, the duo have received numerous accolades, including nominations for AIM Awards & Worldwide Awards both, along with tons of ‘Album of the Year’ nods care of Clash Magazine, Bandcamp, Complex, Wordplay and many more. Friends of Jesse Malin: I Would Do It For You – Vol. 1 brings together musicians from the worlds of rock, punk, Americana, and the underground to celebrate one of modern rock's most respected songwriters. "I've been a fan of Jesse Malin for decades now so I was thrilled when Valley Lodge was asked to be a part of the tribute album,”says Dave Hill. The song originally appeared on D Generation’s 1996 album, No Lunch. "'Too Loose' has always been one of my favorites—a great and timeless rock song that we had a blast re-interpreting." Produced by Lyle Hysen, Friends of Jesse Malin: I Would Do It For You Vol 1. is the first in a two-volume series of nearly 80 songs (!) recorded by Jesse’s friends and community. Proceeds from the album will benefit Malin’s healthcare as he recovers from a paralyzing spinal stroke. Vol. 2 will feature Thurston Moore, Willie Nile, and many more. "Friends, collaborators, and artists from every corner of Jesse's world wanted to be involved," says Hysen. "The songs just kept coming. What started as a single collection quickly grew into something much bigger, encompassing almost the entire Malinverse. We're excited that this is only the first chapter." The vinyl release features twelve tracks across two sides and includes a download code for the complete digital collection, while the CD edition presents all 26 songs across two discs.

The final collaboration between Eliane Radigue and Important Records is this double LP edition of Triptych. Radigue insisted that her music only be released on vinyl if the pieces would fit without being edited or cut. Triptych met those requirements leaving room for an etching on the 4th side.

Back to music after three years of silence... On the suggestion of Robert Ashley, Douglas Dunn commissioned Triptych from Eliane Radigue for choreography. Only the first part of Triptych was staged at the premiere at the Dancehall/Theatre of Nancy on February 27 1978. Recorded in the composer's studio in Paris.

After the 1974 premiere of Adnos in San Francisco, a group of French students introduced Eliane Radigue to Tibetan Buddhism. When she returned to Paris, she†began to explore this spirituality in depth, which slowed her musical production up until 1978. Triptych marks her return to composition, and draws its inspiration from "the spirit of the fundamental elements, water, air, fire, earth" Eliane Radigue likes to add that this has often been useful to her in her moments of research and transitions.

This three-part composition, with its great humility and contemplative simplicity, heralded a new period of her work and was the first in a series of masterpieces inspired by Tibetan Buddhism: Adnos Trilogy (1980), Songs of Milarepa (1983) - with the voices of Lama Kunga Rinpoche and Robert Ashley , "Jetsun Mila"(1986), as well as the Trilogy of Death: Kyema (1988), Kailasha†(1991) and Koume†(1993).

Solovioline in „Hope“ über die Dissonanzen und die hämmernden Percussions in „Rage of the Gods“ bis
hin zur exquisiten Harfenmelodie in „Her Gift“ vor der unheimlichen Atmosphäre von „Opening of the Jar“
ist die Partitur reich an Textur und Wirkung. Orchesterklänge tauchen aus einem elektronischen Dunst auf
und spiegeln die zentrale Frage des Balletts wider: Wo endet der Mensch und wo beginnt die Maschine?

With a breathtaking pair of intimately interrelated new albums, he applies that bold passion to an uncharacteristically pared-down setting, then transforms those stunning sounds via a startling process of sonic reinvention. ResoNation Trio convenes a new chordless trio with master improvisers Scott Colley on bass and Nasheet Waits on drums. The album's contemplative explorations feel like a departure from the raucous spirit that characterizes so much of the trumpeter's work, yet the trio discovers such an audacious beauty and celebratory gusto in these sparse environments that the music feels uniquely Bernstein's. It is also a rarity in his oeuvre for featuring Bernstein - whose mastery of the little- used slide trumpet has become so central to his sonic identity - exclusively playing valve trumpet and flugelhorn. In parallel with this captivating trio excursion, Bernstein handed the recordings over to his longtime collaborator, the pioneering producer Scotty Hard, to reimagine the album through his own iconoclastic lens. The result is the uncategorizable Ultra Resonance, which finds Hard breaking down the ResoNation Trio session into its constituent parts and redeploying them as the elements of a wholly original, mutant creation. The project will be released on June 5, 2026 via Royal Potato Family as a double vinyl or CD package containing both albums, and separately on digital streaming platforms.
