This vinyl features the music from the 4th film in the Saint Seiya saga. It also includes 2 tracks from the Asgard TV series (tracks 11 and 12), one piece from the soundtrack of the 3rd film Abel, and a variation of a track from the Poseidon arc (track 13). Finally, the last track is once again a variation combining two themes from both Asgard and Poseidon.

Royce Wood Junior is a Grammy & Mercury Award-nominated musician, songwriter and record producer from London, currently based in Brighton. As a multi-instrumentalist, he's collaborated with a litany of brilliant artists over the years, such as Jamie Woon, Nao, Disclosure, Jessie Ware, Olivia Dean, Joy Crookes, Jamie Lidell and Jordan Rakei, additionally to touring with the likes of the legendary Thomas Dolby. He's released two acclaimed solo albums to date ('The Ashen Tang' in 2015, and 'No Two Blue Ticks' in 2021).

'Penny Ballads' demonstrates RWJ's varied talents, with a collection of alternative soul compositions, each one as unique as the next. It includes the first two singles, the Poplife-Prince era flavoured 'Go Get Your Money', and the double-time future funk adrenaline shot, 'Clean Up', along with three previously-unreleased tracks. 'Beretta' is low-slung soul funk, beginning with quirky squelchy synths, before the soulful lead vocal of feature artist Lucey Way breezes in to melt everyone's hearts. 'Things' sweeps in next, an infectiously soulful midtempo heavy soul bop, with an instant earwork of a hook, like a modern-day Steely Dan / Doobie Brothers, complete with a head-nodding string section to end the track. The collection concludes on a more melancholy downtempo tip with 'Rolling'; an almost-folktronic anthem, with a key refrain that wouldn't be out of place on a 70's Stevie piece.

RWJ (aka Jim Wood) says of this project… "Back in the 17 and 1800's Troubadours and minstrels would go from Tavern to Tavern selling Penny Ballads, single sheets of music and lyrics written quickly and frivolously to make a quick buck.. It strikes me that we're in a similar phase in the way we value music in 2025. An old Penny Ballad was cheap and dog-eared, ink-smudged, sung aloud by firelight, Now songs live in the digital ether, dissolved in the air, a ghostly breath paid in micro cents. The new era of Penny Balladry is here, and weird.

This EP is a snapshot of my writing over a two year period. Focussed on minimal recording styles, one mic on the drums, generally first or second takes on parts and vocals, I wanted the music to feel like small moments with lyrics that talk about the weird nuances of being alive as a latter stage human on the cusp of the Ai revolution. Culturally so evolved, but physiologically still just a bunch of mammals walking about with primitive fears and needs. Just trying to reconcile it all moment to moment…"

Previous support for Royce's music has included Radio 1's Future Sounds, BBC 6 Music's New Music Fix, Annie Mac, Clara Amfo, Jo Whiley (BBC Radio 2), Mary Anne Hobbs, Jamz Supernova, Tom Robinson, Huw Stephens (BBC 6 Music), Zane Lowe and MistaJam. There have been sessions previously for the likes of Red Bull and press from Huck, Line of Best Fit, Clash, Aesthetica & DIY magazine.

Entirely self-written and self-produced, this EP gives a solid taste of RWJ's talents. A deeply funky diverse set of music from an immensely talented individual.

First release from the Portuguese vinyl only label, Dreams Come True. Born from the childhood dream of his mentor Ostinato, DCT aim to reflect his passion for vinyl records and electronic music. For this first release, nothing better than bring together friendship, passion and talent. In the last couple of years Floog and Ostinato became close friends and crafted this release togheter.

The original tracks from Floog reflect all his versatility fusing minimal with some spicy and tasty vocals, following a different path of the classic rominimal sound. The remixes are the reflection of the label owners personal taste.

Antraum (Traumer and Anton) did a huge remix with an infectious groove, a huge bassline, and certain sound complexity that makes you dance from the first to the last beat. Ted Amber its for sure one of the bastions of the classical Rominimal sound. This remix shows all his talent to build unique vibes in each release he does. Dreams Come True is now unleashed, and we ll keep sharing them with you.

Punching in with his debut vinyl EP for Fluid Funk, Chilean house producer Massiande follows up to a string of head-turning releases on an array of labels, including Jimpster’s Freerange Records. His much anticipated new offering, “Essential”, packs all the attributes of his vivid, floor-focussed vision, taking us on a bouncy ride across densely forested coastal house scapes and heavy-lidded electronics. Draped in washed-out pads and cottony textures, Massiande’s tracks have us floating in a chromatic daze of sorts, light-hearted and somewhat nostalgic, but above all hopeful and resilient.

A textbook slab of Massiande’s ever-expanding palette of woozy house tropes and silken disco touch, A1 “Tears” (also presented in bare instrumental form on the flip side B2) has it all, from the euphonic synths arrangements to the no-nonsense, club-igniting jack and irresistible footwork, via the infectious bass and Chicago-style soulfulness of its vocals. Proper fiery number and absolute weapon for any DJ seeking either impactful elegance in a peak-time context or to rekindle the flame when the after gets a bit too prosaic and requires that extra funky boost to get back on tracks. Grooviness exemplified.

More of a straightforward affair, A2 “Essential” unflappably beckons us on the path of utter vaporous escapology with its pulsating tableau of FX-soaked machine talk, semi-acidic bass and zero-G synthwork painting the sky all shades of pastel. The result is a rather captivating piece of weightlessly intuitive though carefully engineered sonic daydream. Injecting further oomph to the groove, B1 “Come On” pulls out a symbiotic collage of Sino-flavoured melody, Stax-ian vox sampling and straight out Detroit house-indebted propulsion, neatly showcasing both Massiande’s broad spectrum of influences and that idiosyncratic take of his on the said genres’ tried-and-tested leitmotivs.

Die Houdini EP entstand im Berliner Studio von Local Suicide während zahlloser nächtlicher Sessions mit Skelesys in derselben kreativen Phase, die auch ihren gemeinsamen Hit Moustache, die Surface Of The Sun EP und Faster Faster auf Curses’ Next Wave Acid Punx-Compilation hervorbrachte. Das Ergebnis ist ihr bisher düsterstes Material, das ihren Technodisco-Sound in noch härteres Terrain führt - mit hypnotischen Basslines, industriellen Texturen und analogen Vintage-Synths. EPICA’s seventh full-length studio effort “The Holographic Principle” signified a significant upping of the musical ante for this most adventurous of modern bands. Recorded once with esteemed producer Joost van den Broek at the controls, “The Holographic Principle” represents the most impressive and powerful expression of EPICA’s boldly inventive sound yet. One listen to thunderous songs like ‘Edge Of The Blade’ and ‘Universal Death Squad’ will confirm that “The Holographic Principle” is EPICA’s heaviest album to date. Meanwhile, the shimmering soundscapes and multi-layered melodrama of ‘Once Upon A Nightmare’ and the towering 11-minute title track confirm that “The Holographic Principle” is also the band’s most musically extravagant and daring release so far. With lashings of sumptuous orchestration and a never-ending stream of ingenious but brutal metal riffs and propulsive rhythms underpinning the whole explosive enterprise, this is an album that raises the bar for the entire symphonic metal genre.

Sex Tapes From Mars presents Outdom Records' boss, LATENT, who shares a brand-new four-track EP that spars with breakbeat, electro, house, and left-field electronics, neatly centring them all into a steady, sexy collision. The record as a whole captures genuinely original-sounding, rough-edged b-boy breaking badness - nostalgic, but never polite. It's a few BPMs slower than Sex Tapes' last few outings, but no less effective. Arguably, it's more late '80s sounding than ever, although, in fact, it's a brand-new, stonking release that showcases the label's versatility and unpredictability.

The opening track, "Break Machine", sets the pace with a clear nod to the '80s US group of the same name, bringing tidy drum workouts and clipped vocal samples that recall early Chicago, as well as choppy rave and street party energy at its most unfiltered.

"Disco Hijack" pushes the clutch into a more functional gear, merging delay-heavy, druggy, chuggy, sludgy bass with more robotic vocoder tropes, sharing something playful but IDM and European skewed. It's a dancefloor tool with a wink - just the style this now accomplished label has made its identity. Oh, don't forget the amens and clattering jungle breaks. 1990 or 2040? Fuck knows.

On "Distress Robot", pneumatic percussion and malfunctioning android chatter bring a darker, more mechanical edge, while "Virtual Body" closes with a spacious, garage-leaning shuffle that pulls the EP into recognisable contemporary yet still very much peak-time territory.

LATENT gives lean grit, pushes the edges, and lets the tracks feel alive in their imperfections. It’s music that thrives on tension between old-school reference points and modern floor pressure.

The title is not just a name, but a mission statement and a metaphor for his entire approach: music that is organic, fleeting, and full of emotional depth. Founded in 1988 by Frank and Karen Mendez as a vehicle for The Burrell Brother’s prolific creative output, the legendary NYC label Nu Groove was relaunched in 2021, reinstating its cult status and quickly becoming a home for genre pioneers. Today its impressive catalogue continues to grow with New York’s own Jovonn returning to the label with his ‘Syndicate Deep EP’, a four-track release showcasing the house master’s deep, pioneering and eclectic electronic grooves, including his Comon Remix update of ‘Random’, one of the tracks that relaunched the label.

Silat Beksi is back on Afterhours. with Infinite O’Clock, the labels eighth release — an assured statement where minimal house, tech-house, and groove converge. Over recent years, the label has consistently delivered stripped-back club tools with subtle depth, and Beksi’s latest reinvigorates that tradition with fresh energy rather than repetition.

The EP opens with Infinite O’Clock, a hypnotic minimal-house piece built from syncopated rhythms, deep, lush pads, ambient vocal samples, and a groovy low-end that perfectly fits the early club hours — those moments when the light begins to cut through the windows. On the Flip Side, Beksi shifts into early-00s micro-house mode: shuffled hi-hats, crisp claps, and playful, wonky grooves take the lead, while warm aerial pads reminiscent of 90s video games and acid-tinged basslines elevate the track with sophistication. Closing the record, Godbrother turns up the jacking energy — metallic and robotic samples, an infectious bassline, spatial pads, and delayed vocals give it a menacing, dancefloor-ready drive that ends the EP in full swing.

With Infinite O’Clock, Silat Beksi builds on Afterhours.’ reputation for club-focused minimalism and sound-system fidelity — a release that reaffirms the label’s consistent quality while confidently steering its sound forward.

Berlin’s ZentaSkai returns to his Mask Records with the ‘Billie’ EP, collaborating with Palawan, Jeremy Reinhard, and Thomas Grün for release on vinyl only, 2nd November 2025. He kicks off with the solo cut 'A1', which is quick, sophisticated, raw House with a funky clip to the beats that diffuses heat in the grainy sustained pads. It brings serene emotional release through stylish hypnosis and gorgeous vocals that blend seamlessly into the mix. Next, ZentaSkai collaborates with the mysterious Palawan, as he did on one track of his 2023 album The Architecture Of The Mind, on 'A2.' This one suspends you in backlit synth glows while rounded drums and funky claps tap out the supple rhythm. Cautious hope comes from the quiet chord stabs and soft focus melodies in what is a masterclass in deep Techno minimalism. 'B1' reunites ZentaSkai with Cologne's Jeremy Reinhard following previous cuts on that same 2023 album. Reinhard has long been a pillar of his local Berlin scene as a resident DJ, but also the wider underground with his own label Lekker Record. Their track taps into dub depths but ups the pace and allows radiant synths to piece the surface next to muttered spoken word that keep it intimate and perfectly seductive for body and mind. Last of all is a collab with Austrian Thomas Grün, who has been shaping deep and Tech House with his immaculate grooves for decades. Their 'B2' brings US garage snares to buoyant drums and douses them in layers of fuzzy synth warmth. It's meditative yet direct with an ever-rising sense of hope that makes it all the more indelible. ZentaSkai (aka No Mad Ronin, Matt Nowak, and MASK) is a German DJ and producer active since 1997. Based out of his studio in Berlin, ZentaSkai runs the Zaijenroots label and, since 2017, the Mask sub-label, which houses his stunning 2023 ‘Architecture of the Mind’ LP as well as his Cuddling Monsters project with Laura Merino Allue, who has been significantly involved in the label's work since 2023. - with other credits including a release on Jerome Sydenham’s Ibadan Records and support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Joseph Capriati, Marcel Dettmann, Luke Slater, Laurent Garnier, DVS1, Ben Sims, and Radio Slave.

Reboot emerges as another key name on Thuishaven's Haven Trax with Signs, a three-track EP landing as the label's fourth release. Drawing inspiration from his recent set at Thuishaven, Reboot's title track 'Sunshine' captures the warmth and connection of that moment with sun-soaked textures and shimmering percussion.

2025 Repress

DJ Koze doesn't aim for technical perfection for its own sake, but rather to serve the purpose of giving birth to great music. On his debut 'Rue Burnout EP' from his own Pampa label, he plays with finesse and sophistication, and implicitly understands the importance of subtlety, leading from dreamy and restrained parts to a noisy frenzy at the end. 'Blume der Nacht' starts with a looped piano solo from Arabian dodecaphony, interwoven with bangs of violine bows, piercing high-pitched strings, almost shrieking glissandi, deep angel chants and obsessive sharp rhythms. The 37 year old constantly horny wunderkind producer has made a habit of creatively foiling expectations, and works also under the pseudonyms Adolf Noise, Swahimi and recently Madima Lokkah to redefine the boundaries of electronic music. This daring concept works perfectly in the title track 'Rue Burnout' - it is very rare that you find house music this excitingly light-fooded and precisely transparent. The musician cuts the pigtail off the term 'Kackmusik' for good, and demonstrates how sounds are capable of creating the most delicate musical interplay.

Originally released in 2011 during the second big coming of deep house, Maya Jane Coles' 'Focus Now' EP returns as part of 20/20 Vision's Full Circle 30th Anniversary series. It's been out of print for years and harks back to a very different sound from Coles, who has since spread her sonic wings into many different worlds. This reissue features all three original tracks, starting with 'Focus Now,' a soft focus and bubbly blend of pulsing synths and rubbery drums, 'Little One' which was something of a warehouse classic of its time, and 'Senseless' with Coles' own vocals and slow motion drum churn. Alongside those is 'The High Life', another syrupy and warm blend of smooth drums and aching vocal hooks that, like the rest of the cuts, is freshly remastered.

Opening the EP is an artist who needs very little introduction, Glenn Underground. A leading international producer & DJ who seems to effortlessly slide between Deep, Soulful, Disco, Jazz and beyond, Glenn boasts an exceptional discography that very few could compete with. His Cosmic Disco Journey Mix here weaves its lo slung groove in a funky off-kilter disco style with piano ripples as Nambi’s voice shimmers on top. Nambi’s heartfelt soars across Glenn’s Cosmic Journey remix unfurling beautiful piano and taut Chi-town beats. Deep and vocal, it’s got that raw soul power that both Glenn and Chicago are known for.

God Given Ass is a five piece punk rock band from Helsinki, Finland, formed in 2008. The band members’ former outfits include 90’s Finnish rock band Tehosekoitin (a.k.a. The Screamin’ Stukas), legendary drunk punks Maho Neitsyt and horror-garage-punksters The Patsy Walkers. As connoisseurs will have noticed, the band name derives from a line in a certain David Bowie song, and true to that, their influences range wide – from classic punk rock sneer to 60’s-influenced melodies to glitter stomp and back. Despite God Given Ass having been around for some time, this eponymous record is their debut album. Having released four 7-inchers early in their career (and two cassettes to boot), they went on a hiatus a couple of years back, only returning to the touring cycle in 2024. Despite the near glacial release pace, the album itself is not slow: it’s a 28 minute and 12 track ride through the at times fun & at others dreary landscapes of eastern downtown Helsinki by night.

NAIVE020 epitomizes what the Lisbon-based label, run by Violet, has become cherished for: imaginative yet timeless, soothing yet moody, melodic yet sonic music. Entitled 'Computer Hermetics', this new record is an EP by Berlin-based UrbnMowgli.

The opening track, 'Fast Love Life', is a 145 bpm electro-bred, breakbeat-driven emotive dancefloor banger. It features menacing stabs juxtaposed with beautiful pads and acid-drenched arpeggio motifs that lend it a oneiric quality. 'Oracle Algorithm' picks up the 303 spirit and delves into trippier territories, densening the dreamlike, expansive atmosphere while infusing the record with electro-driven grit. Back in 2023, I picked up a record by Jacob Dwyer — I was completely captivated. His lyrics weren’t just words; they were portals. I had to track him down. After some digging, I made contact — and asked him if he would like to collaborate with me.

He said yes.

Fast forward through months of back-and-forth, and then it landed — in my inbox — Tom’s House: a one-hour audio-drama written and performed by the incomparable Jacob Dwyer. It’s a hypnotic, surreal journey through the mind of someone returning home after 15 years — disorienting, poetic, and fully immersive.

To accompany this masterwork, I put together my take on Canon HF10 — 12 minutes of deep, rolling tech grooves, bouncing acid basslines, freaked-out synths, and lyrical gold. (“He demanded a fried egg sandwich…”)

Flip to the B-side and things get wild with The Baby Legit Upside Down — a full-tilt burner packed with razor-sharp 808 electro/techno drums, squelchy 101 bass stabs, swirling pads, and an evolving sub that’ll shake the foundations. Dwyer’s voice threads through the chaos with uncanny flair — bizarre, brilliant, unforgettable. The title means what it says.

We close the EP with Red Flowers — slowing the tempo, diving into squelchy breaks and textural weirdness, as Jacob drops in snippets of conversation with his sister, alongside more sharp, off-kilter reflections on Tom’s House.

Dekmantel welcomes Theo Kottis back for his second release on the label - three high-impact club tracks plus a remix from rising star Spray. Following Lighthouse - named “song of the summer” by Resident Advisor - Blue Supermoon carries the same melodic punch, rhythmic drive - and it’s already lighting up some of the world’s most treasured dancefloors.

The title track has been circulating for over a year, with early support from Batu, Call Super, Francesco Del Garda and Ben UFO and plays at Houghton, fabric and beyond. It’s a swirling, tension-loaded cut where pads and an arpeggiated topline intertwine over a weighty, driving bassline, underpinned by intricately layered percussion - the kind of track that stays with you.

What To Do was inspired by a night out at fabric’s 25th birthday party, linking back to Kottis’ recent release on fabric Records. Hyper aims for big-room euphoria, with a towering build-up and hands-in-the-air release. Spray closes the EP with a shimmering, progressive-leaning take on Hyper, adding his signature slow-burn tension and widescreen energy.

The Heinz Beauvaix project dates back to the mid-1990’s when Niels Rønne and Flemming Kaspersen played in Danish ambient act Swimwear Catalogue. On an ever growing number of DAT tapes they recorded semi-improvised synth/sampler/sequencer jams that mixed influences from ambient, electro and industrial. Later they began working with more detailed studio productions.

The seven tracks on “Vision Man” combine complex synth pads, interweaving monophonic synth lines, discrete drum rhythms, and strange voice samples. The sound is experimental and melodic at the same time. Influences range from early industrial to IDM, techno and synth pop. Rønne and Kaspersen originally met through a shared obsession with Canadian industrial giants Skinny Puppy. And if there is one seminal album that has influenced the Heinz Beauvaix sound, it is the obscure Skinny Puppy side project Doubting Thomas and their solitary album “The Infidel”, released in 1990.

Others have mentioned influences from bands such as Coil, Severed Heads, Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber’s Delerium and Future Sound Of London.

“Vision Man” is old school synthesizer music with tunes you can hum.

Brazilian producer Pedro Zopelar, who joined D3 Elements to celebrate the label’s 10th anniversary in 2023, returns with Just Like Heaven. The EP opens with A World With No War, a track that stands out for its deep, reflective atmosphere. This ambient piece invites introspection, offering a moment to pause and reflect on society's complexities. Patrice Scott’s remix takes this thoughtful vibe and adds layers of atmospheric depth, stripping away rhythm to create a meditative space. Heaven House brings a sensual, 90s- inspired house groove, perfect for the dancefloor. The closing Spiritual Moment starts with broken beats before evolving into a Balearic anthem, evoking beachside tranquility. 'Bite The Hand That Feeds You' is the debut EP from Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Jasmín. Blending genres, moods, and eras, it draws on her Dutch-Argentinian roots while channeling the nostalgia of teenage discovery: "that formative era of girlhood where you're growing up online and building your world digitally." Across three tracks, Jasmín explores the tension between this lasting inner world and the harsher realities outside, weaving techno, bass, and dub into percussion-driven music defined by both force and introspection.

Two tracks feature London-born, Lisbon-based artist Older Brother, whose vocals move between meditation and proclamation. 'Overdriven' was built on Jasmín's original instrumental, while 'The Ride' emerged from reworking a fragment of its vocal. Together, they highlight her ability to transform personal dialogue into public expression – music that invites both reflection and release, as much to ponder as it is to dance to.

Roy Ayers – Delfonic Reworked #1 A soulful rework story – from an edit to an official release Berlin’s own Delfonic kicks off a very special series of Roy Ayers reworks with this four-track EP on BBE Music. Originally sparked by a spontaneous edit of “What’s the T?”, which Delfonic shared with BBE’s Pete Adarkwah, the project quickly gained momentum. With listeners asking for a vinyl version, this initial idea soon grew into an official release – and the beginning of a larger tribute. Drawing from BBE’s 2004 compilation Virgin Ubiquity—a treasure trove of previously unreleased Roy Ayers recordings from 1976 to 1981—Roy Ayers – Delfonic Reworked #1 offers a fresh take on the legendary vibraphonist’s sound, rooted in soul, jazz and groove. The EP opens with Green and Gold, followed by the original spark What’s the T? featuring the incredible Merry Clayton.

Also featured are Sugar with Carla Vaughan and Oh What a Lonely Feeling, again showcasing Clayton’s emotive vocals—all reimagined with Delfonic’s signature flair for rhythmic depth and dancefloor flow. Soft Cell - Marc Almond and Dave Ball - release their classic track ‘Martin’ as a single for the very first time this Hallowe’en, Friday 31st October.

Originally featured as one side of a bonus 12” released as part of the original The Art of Falling Apart album in 1983, Martin has since become one of the most popular and enduring Soft Cell deep cuts.

Limited to 500 copies and pressed on deluxe black and red vinyl, it features special Hallowe’en remixes from Dave Ball, as well as a club remix from French electroclash pioneer The Hacker. Martin will also be released download EP across all digital platforms.

‘Martin originated in the arts studio at Leeds Polytechnic, as it was then known. We wrote and recorded it at the same time as the track “The Art of Falling Apart”. After we left art school all the pop madness of Soft Cell began and those two tracks were shelved.

Suddenly, Phonogram Records were asking for a second album. We were unsure of a direction or concept then I reminded Marc of those two art school tracks. I suggested to him that “The Art of Falling Apart” would be a great album title and he agreed….

On The Arboretum, Analogue Attic co-founder Alex Albrecht leans further into the dancefloor, channelling the more hypnotic and driving energy that Butter Sessions is known for. Across the five tracks, listeners are treated to Albrecht's signature melody-driven deep house, bolstered by intricate rhythms, a deeper low end, and hypnotic loops designed for larger systems and later hours.

Wenn Sie das ungute Gefühl hatten, dass 2025 irgendwie das Jahr von Thee Headcoatees werden würde, dann klatschen Sie sich selbst herzlich ab - denn überraschenderweise ist es tatsächlich so! Wir können indirekt den Tod unseres lieben verstorbenen Great Ribbon, Mr. Don Craine, dafür verantwortlich machen, dass Thee Headcoats 2022 ein Comeback feierten. Ursprünglich hatten sie geplant nur eine Tribute-EP als Thee Headcoats Sect aufzunehmen - zusammen mit Dons Downliner Sect-Kollegen Keith Grant Evans - aber dann stellten sie fest, dass sie noch ein paar Stunden Zeit im Studio hatten, und dachten sich, dass sie genauso gut auch ein neues Headcoats-Album aufnehmen könnten. Und warum auch nicht? Das Ergebnis war, ohne viel Aufhebens, das Album "Irregularis (The Great Hiatus)", das 2023 bei Damaged Goods erschien. Ende 2024, noch bevor man ein Deerstalker-Band entwirren konnte, waren die Jungs schon wieder am Werk, und eine weitere neue Headcoats-LP war ,im Kasten", deren Veröffentlichung ursprünglich für Anfang dieses Jahres geplant war. ABER dann kam irgendwo jemand auf die Idee: ,Warum sollten nur die Jungs den ganzen Spaß haben? Wie wäre es, wenn wir auch den Sisters of Suave, Thee Headcoatees, eine Chance geben?" Mit allen ihnen zur Verfügung stehender männlichen List und Tücke schalteten Thee Headcoats und Damaged Goods ihre Charmeoffensive ein. Mit purer Entschlossenheit und Hartnäckigkeit wurden Ludella Black, Kyra LaRubia, Bongo Debbie und Holly Golightly nacheinander aus ihren Verstecken gezerrt, wo sie sich lautstark wehrten (was sie am besten können), um die 14 Killer-Songs aufzunehmen, die auf ihrem neuesten Album mit dem raffinierten Titel ,Man-Trap" zu finden sind. Das war keine Kleinigkeit! Anfang 2025 wurde also eine Aufnahmesession in den renommierten Ranscombe Studios in Rochester gebucht, Gin und Snacks wurden vorbereitet, und im Handumdrehen waren die Backing Tracks im Kasten - Thee Headcoats wieder zurück als die beste Backing-Band und Thee Headcoatees zurück am Gesang. Billy Childish übernahm die Produktion. Unbeeindruckt von einigen geografischen Hindernissen auf dem Weg dorthin war Ende Mai das Ergebnis ein glänzendes neues Headcoatees-Album! UND WAS FÜR EIN ALBUM! Es ist mindestens genauso gut wie alle ihre Alben aus den Neunzigern und vielleicht sogar noch besser... (,Ja-a-a-a!", flüstert der Geist von Don Craine.) Diese Mischung aus großartigen Coverversionen und einigen fantastischen neuen Songs ergeben eine verdammt gute LP. Betreten Sie "Man-Trap" auf eigene Gefahr - Sie wissen, dass Sie es wollen! LUDELLA BLACK hat drei Soloalben sowie Veröffentlichungen mit The Masonics vorzuweisen und gerade erst mit The 5,6,7,8's aufgenommen. Nebenbei sang sie auch mit The Shall-I-Say Quois, zusammen mit ihrer Freundin Kyra. KYRA LaRUBIA war Anfang der 2000er Jahre kurzzeitig bei The A-Lines neben Bongo Debbie & Nurse Julie (von Stuck-Ups / Buffets / CTMF) und arbeitete an einer Neuauflage ihres Albums ,Here I Am, I Always Am". Die Musik trat dann in den Hintergrund, während Kyra sich auf ihre Promotion in Sport- und Bewegungswissenschaften konzentrierte. Seit 2005 ist sie Dozentin an der University of Kent. HOLLY GOLIGHTLY hat seit 1999 neun Soloalben veröffentlicht, sechs davon mit Lawyer Dave in The Brokeoffs, sang ein Duett mit Jack White auf dem Album ,Elephant" von The White Stripes und tourte um die Welt.

After being out of print for a good number of years, we are making 15 titles out of our Elvis Presley back catalogue available again between August 2025 and February 2026. Each title will see two different editions: one on regular-coloured vinyl and one very limited on mix-coloured, marbled vinyl, both housed in deluxe sleeves with a linen look and feel. Loving You from 1957 was Elvis Presley’s first soundtrack and accompanied the eponymous film that follows a delivery man who is discovered by a music publicist and a country–western musician who wants to promote the talented newcomer. This was Presley’s first major starring role. The fact that only the tracks on the A-side appeared in the movie couldn’t spoil the fun for the fans, as the LP contained hits such as “(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear” reaching #1 in the U.S., some covers and some lesser-known deep cuts. It’s not without reason that this album reached Certified Gold status. The Midas touch, so to speak. Loving You is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on yellow translucent coloured vinyl.

HighSchool veröffentlichen ihr lang ersehntes selbstbetiteltes Debütalbum. Das Melbourner Duo Rory Trobbiani und Luke Scott sorgte erstmals mit der Debüt-EP „Forever At Last“ für Aufsehen, zog daraufhin nach London um mit Dan Carey (Wet Leg, Fontaines D.C., Franz Ferdinand) einige Songs aufzunehmen. Noumen returns to Central Processing Unit after a six-year absence with Altum. This bumper record, the Ukrainian artist's fourth release for the Sheffield label and first since 2019 double-LPObscurium, serves to remind us all why Noumen's music has been lauded by the likes of Mixmag and Resident Advisor in the past.Altumis a consummate piece of contemporary electronic production, a technoid exploration of outer-edges electronica that nods to genre greats like Autechre while still maintaining its own unconventional charm.

Across well over an hour of music here we find Noumen repeatedly playing punchy mid-tempo beat work off of some more cerebral tuned synths.Altumkicks off with the epic 'Oion' - beginning in that Autechre/AFX mid-tempo zone, full of deep-sea bangs and whirrs, the track slowly builds to a final stretch of delay-drenched keys which set us free amidst the outer cosmos, almost Sun Ra-style. It's a perfect liminal-space roller and an apt scene-setter forAltum.

'Oion' provides a blueprint for several of the album's other highlights - plenty of the joints here adopt that same approach of hitting hard with the drums and soft with the synths. Second track 'Splitter' takes on the baton from 'Oion' while souping up the kick to warehouse levels; the beats in 'Far Wind' splutter like a needle skipping on a mid-90s Tresor drop; 'Fate Carette', all eerie looped synth leads, is a highlight as the album enters the home straight.

The rhythm production (which, it should be noted, is exemplary throughoutAltum) is ratched up in intensity on a handful of numbers. 'Telemask' displays a delightful breakbeat - if you'd told me this was sampled from golden age A Tribe Called Quest, I'd have believed you. Mid-section anchors 'Awe' and 'Axis' are glitchers in the Mike Paradinas mould, with the latter showing off some pleasing steel pan-esque synth leads for good measure. And whileAltumgenerally maintains a processional pace throughout, there are points where Noumen toughens up the drums for club deployment - 'Unveilness' shows off a real chunkiness in the low end, closer 'Spurling Sign' plays a satisfying rolling groove off of ever-layering synths, and the title-track is an alien machine-funker in keeping with fellow CPU electronauts like Silicon Scally and Cygnus.

Noumen's third album for Central Processing Unit is a pleasingly hefty double-LP which builds on the zany invention of acts like Modeselektor and Autechre to delightful effect.

This time, it welcomes fellow Belgian DJ and producer Igor Vicente, renowned for his genre-blending style and releases on labels such as Mobilee, Hot Creations, and Visionquest, once again in collaboration with fellow Belgian DkA, who’s racked up releases on labels like Get Physical, Constant State, and Mau5trap Recordings—a striking sign of his ability to explore a variety of genres and styles.



The original version of ‘Ecstatic’ leads, featuring subtly blooming atmospherics, a nuanced synth hook, oscillating percussion, and raw drums, all building towards a climatic breakdown and a powerful drop in the latter stages. Gregor Tresher reshapes the original with his signature twist, extracting fragments of the track and fusing them with elongated bass grooves, heavily shuffled, crunchy drums, and intricately intertwined melodious elements.



‘Planets’ opens the B-side, a nine-minute excursion through squelchy acid bass notes, cinematic pads, robust drums, and chuggy arpeggio synth lines. The ‘Ecstatic (Dub Mix)’ then concludes the EP, shifting focus solely onto the raw groove and hypnotic melody of the original composition, as the name suggests.

Phoenix-based DJ and producer, Paul West, steps out with his debut EP "Blue Sun", on Rocky Hill, serving up a first slice of grit on wax. Blue Sun opens on the A-side with three moody 808 workouts, tipping the hat to Motor City atmospheres while keeping things raw and warm. Flip it over and the energy shifts: a sun-kissed Adriatic voyage with the title track, and "Elon's Musk" -- a bass-driven groover destined to linger in your record bag.

"No Control" is one of the albums that helped bridge the band"s more reckless earlier direction with their more focused (but just as pissed-off) "90s-era. The strength of such cuts as "Big Bang," "Automatic Man," the title track, and "I Want to Conquer the World." No Control is one of the bands best all-time albums and an archetypal blueprint for the genre.

On November 7, 2025, the Belgian label Sdban Records will release a reissue of the mythical Open Sky Unit (1974) by the eponymous jazz fusion group featuring Micheline and Jacques Pelzer, Steve Houben, Ron Wilson, Janot Buchem and Michel Graillier. The album returns on vinyl, highlighting a pivotal moment in Belgian jazz history, where soul, funk, and free improvisation came together in a vibrant and family-driven project.

Formed in the early 1970s as a homage to Dave Liebman's group Open Sky, Open Sky Unit grew out of informal jam sessions in Liège, Belgium, into a unique collective. One of the central figures was Jacques Pelzer, father of drummer and vocalist Micheline Pelzer, alongside his second cousin, saxophonist/flutist Steve Houben, bass player Janot Buchem, percussionist Michel Graillier and American pianist/composer Ron Wilson.

Their 1974 debut album was released on the Duchesne classical music label, run by Pelzer's brother-in-law. The group's sound carefully balanced jazz and soul and was largely directed by Wilson, a Californian pianist and singer who settled in Liège and nearby Maastricht after his army service. Wilson composed the entire repertoire. Open Sky Unit was recorded live at Jazzland club in Liège, and the band made several short tours in Belgium and abroad (including Tunisia) until around 1975-1976, when Houben left for Boston to study at the Berklee College of Music.

Although the original live recording from 1974 was not technically perfect, the group succeeded in capturing their heartfelt live energy. Tracks such as Open Sky, Sunshine Star, and Passion and Compassion are striking examples of this. Years later, the album version of Sunshine Star found its way onto Funky Chicken (2014), the compilation that not only brought the track back into the spotlight but also marked the beginning of Sdban Records.

In addition to the standard reissue, a limited edition of 200 copies will be released for collectors, featuring a 7" single of Ron Wilson's Sunshine Star as a special bonus. This single was originally released in 1973 with the acoustic version of Sunshine Star (piano and vocals) on the B-side, recorded a few months before the longer jazz-funk version later featured on the LP Open Sky Unit. The A-side, Peace Is The Answer, was only released on that single at the time and is now being reissued for the very first time. The 7" is thus a faithful and long-awaited reissue of a rare piece of Belgian jazz history, it's intimate, soulful, and an ideal complement to theexisting and well-known LP.

Although the band never achieved a major international breakthrough, they were highly valued in progressive European jazz circles and later secured a place in anthologies such as Utopic Cities: Progressive Jazz in Belgium 1968-1979. The reissue of Open Sky Unit brings their music back into the spotlight and reaffirms their role as key figures in the Belgian jazz scene of the seventies.

I first remember meeting Eminence in 2019, at one of her Upraw events she was doing at the time in Leeds (now taking place in Bristol). She had booked me & Coco Bryce to play & since then, we kept in contact and she would send me her music that she was working on.

Last year, I heard that she had collaborations on the go with both Dwarde & Kid Lib, which made me curious about how those tunes would sound & when she sent me early previews of them, I was very keen on getting them for the label. It took quite a while for both of these collabs to get finished but eventually, after many back & forth between Eminence & both artists, we reached a point where everyone was happy (I think!) with the end results.

I was asked by Priori (a producer based in Montreal) who runs a label called NAFF about doing a remix of this tune called "First Step To Peace" by Sabola. I did the remix that month & both him & Sabola were pleased with how it sounded and it got the go ahead for release (should be out at some point soon!)

In February, I had a gig in Montreal where I was able to meet both of them beforehand to hang out and chat about music and such & getting to know Sabola in person, I realised that he had more interest in & knowledge about jungle than I had initially assumed. Also, he was occasionally producing jungle tunes, but none of them had been released before.

I asked him to send me some of what he had been working on & when he sent me "Close Your Eyes", I knew straight away that I needed to get him on the label in some form. I signed that track instantly and then waited for him to work on some more music for a Future Retro London release, which then resulted in "Give You Some Space" & that was all I needed.

In the end, I decided that rather than doing 2 separate 10" releases for the collabs Eminence had done with Dwarde & Kid Lib and the tracks that Sabola had made, it would be more practical to combine them into a split 12" EP release & here we are.

Several years ago Steve informed me that he had a master tape from a recording session he conducted in 1978 (he believes it was at Mystic Studio) from one of the original members and co-founders of Taxie, Charles Erwin Williams II, also known as ‘Ice Cream’.

The tape was in good condition and the original version of With Love You’ll Find A Peace Of Mind was 7 minutes 38 seconds. I asked Steve if it was possible to shorten it to approximately 3 minutes.

A few days later I received several versions re-mastered and re-mixed by him and we both agreed they sounded excellent.

We hope you will enjoy this as much as we do. It is a fantastic piece of unheard Californian soul music available exclusively on Epsilon Record Co.



The B side Seaside Vibe is a killer funky instrumental with an amazing production.

Fast At Work returns with another statement EP, this time from the label’s own Carré and her closest collaborator, Danny Goliger. Navigating through textured atmospheres, rhythmic explorations, and immersive landscapes, they allowed their music to unfold naturally—an organic process shaped by curiosity and intuition. Each track was born from sampling its predecessor, creating a recursive dialogue that guided the creative flow. A commitment to a tension-building groove in ‘Up Too Late’, the warped dub throughlines of ‘Tricky One’, the intricate, delicate uptempo delight that is ‘Exit Plan ’, and the bridge between all four tracks ‘Don’t Keep Me In Suspense’ — each reflects different moments in this journey. An expert in textural exploration, the Dutch DJ and producer Konduku brought out the true hypnotic potential of the title track. Their influences ripple outward, yet the sound remains inherently theirs—fluid, unbound by singular genre or label.

Funnuvojere’s curator and founder, Massimiliano Pagliara, reunites with longtime collaborator Gian to present a new chapter in their shared musical exploration: a full-length album under the moniker Hidden Frequencies. The pair’s creative dialogue began with a 2017 release on LACKREC — itself a tribute to Detroit electro — and this LP continues that sonic discourse, refining and expanding their vision. Hidden Frequencies pays homage to the emotive minimalism of acts like The Other People Place, channeling the melancholic elegance and machine soul of Detroit’s second wave.

It’s a record built on analog textures, brooding basslines, and crisp drum programming — both a reverent nod and a forward-looking reinterpretation. Tracks like “Oscillations Of Us” and “Dreaming In Electric Blue” inject peak-time energy into the atmospheric and almost restrained narrative, with a techno drive built for the dancefloor. “Obsidian Reflections” walks the line — structured around classic electroarchitecture but charged with intense propulsion. Pieces like “Dancing On Data Streams” — the contemplative title track — and “EncodedWhispers” offer more introspective soundscapes, inviting deep listening and emotional immersion.

Together, these tracks form a nuanced body of work that shifts seamlessly between reflective and kinetic, minimal and expansive. Familiar yet exploratory, Hidden Frequencies is the sound of two artists in conversation —not just with each other, but with a musical legacy they continue to honor and reshape. This is a modern electro séance that blends introspection with intention, nostalgia with forward motion.

'Barefoot In The Garden' is a 5-track selection merging classic soul with contemporary sounds.

Put together from sessions recorded at the world famous Abbey Road Studios in London, and Victoria's home studio Candle Shop, this project exemplifies her talents as a singer-songwriter, developing upon the building blocks of her debut EP 'Did it Again' and Victoria's work as one half of electronic-soul duo, Anushka (BBE / Tru Thoughts / Brownswood).

On this EP, Victoria is accompanied by a wealth of talented artists in their own right, including frequent collaborators Hemai and JNR Williams, the highly-acclaimed drummer Moses Boyd, and vocalists such as Lea Lea, to name just a few.

The sonic tapestry stitched together on this EP epitomises the quality of British soul music of modern times; a vintage symphonic feel approach with modern-day production techniques, encompassing the Ronson-era of the late great Amy Winehouse, to the pack leaders of nowadays such as SAULT and Jungle. It's a logical progression considering Victoria's lifelong influences of US luminaries like Minnie Riperton, Gladys Knight, Nina Simone and Dionne Warwick.

Her fanbase includes Gilles Peterson (BBC 6 Music / Worldwide FM) who has tipped her as "an exciting emerging new artist whose sound fits alongside current successful acts like Cleo Sol, Lynda Dawn and Yazmin Lacey."


Victoria's previous EP had support from a wide range of tastemakers, including Cerys Matthews, Huey Morgan, Somewhere Soul, Mo Ayoub (Selector Radio), Ronnie Herel (Mi-Soul Radio's "One to Watch"), Tony Minvielle (Jazz FM) and across platforms like Rinse FM, NTS, Soho Radio and Global Soul, whilst her work with Anushka also received airplay from Annie Mac, Jamz Supernova, Huw Stephens and BBC Radio 1.

Victoria says "this EP comes from a place of nostalgia. It's kind of reflective of parts of life up to this moment, culminating in 'Barefoot in the Garden'. I guess it's me starting to understand the things that are truly important to me. How I want to love and be loved, the way I want to spend my time, and just me starting to filter out a lot of the noise. Sonically it's been such a dream to explore elements of old soul and jazz with so many incredible musicians, and to put our own unique spin on the genre."

'Big Love' was adopted as the official anthem for Scottish Women's Football for the
2022/2023 League Season, and was the pair's first release as a co-write, written with

Berlin’s Tal Fussman returns to Rekids with the ‘Walking on Mars’ EP, releasing 7th November 2025. It follows the Survival Tactics boss’ recent album on Binh’s Time Passages, as well as his ‘Definition’ (2024) and ‘I Feel’ (2025) EPs on Rekids, with Fussman’s fresh spin on classic House and Techno winning support from the likes of Raresh, Cromby, DVS1, Saoirse, Carista, Honey Dijon, and many more.

After a successful album on DJ Hell’s legendary International Deejay Gigolo Records, Berlin-based but globally-minded Tunisian artist Skatman returns to his own ever-evolving label, Cognitive Prophecy, with Temples, a four-track EP steeped in the spirit of Detroit and laced with its own boundary-pushing vision.
The title track, ‘Temples’, channels a number of timeless Detroit cuts like Rolando’s Knights of the Jaguar into something deeply personal. It feels like stepping into a crowded, smoke and sweat-filled dance floor at 3 a.m., only to emerge into the sunrise hours later. ‘Can It Last Forever’ shifts the mood with pure euphoria, the kind of track that makes strangers grin at each other when the night is ending but no one’s ready to leave. Although they emerged from Melbourne bayside outer suburbs onto the local live scene with their fresh and spirited indie-rock update of the garage-beat sounds of The Easybeats, Kinks and early Beatles only a year or so ago, Gnome actually started out as a bedroom solo project for teenaged singer/songwriter/ guitarist Jay Millar a few years back. Jay, playing everything himself, started recording and releasing a steady succession of material - quite a few albums' worth - on his own Goblin Records label via Bandcamp. Realizing he needed a band to start playing out, Jay approached some like minded players from Frankston's rehearsal hub Singing Bird, and with Jay on lead vocals and lead guitar, Ned Capp on guitar, Olly Katsianis on bass, and Ethan Robins on drums, Gnome became a band.

Early in 2025, the last solo Jay recordings released under the Gnome name caused something of an international underground sensation when the Bandcamp only I Like It EP - four songs of kranked up Kinks-style mono riffage - was posted by a Spanish garage-punk YouTube page and quickly clocked up over 50,000 views.



At the same time, the band quickly began gaining attention on the thriving Frankston scene and around Melbourne. They started breaking out, sharing bills with the likes of Drunk Mums, Skegss, Split System, The Prize, The Unknowns, Cosmic Psychos, Hockey Dad, Guitar Wolf, The 5.6.7.8's, The Breadmakers, Loose Lips, fellow Frankstoners/Singing Bird alumni The Belair Lip Bombs, and, on a quick trip to Sydney, Cammy Cautious & The Wrestlers.

And now, finally, we have The Gnomes' debut album. Twelve killer tracks that combine the best of the '60s with the best of today. Twelve killer tracks that show off assertive and accomplished songwriting, singing and playing and an explosive and authentic swinging group sound. Das transzendente Punk-Trio aus Minneapolis in seinem explosivsten Jahr, live aufgenommen auf der Bühne im First Avenue, in der vielleicht am besten klingenden Aufnahme der gefeierten SST-Ära der Band. Unfassbar! Cosmic Psychos kehren mit erstaunlichem Geständnis zurück: "I Really Like Beer"! Über 40 Jahre albern-schlauer Punkrock werden mit einem brandneuen "Konzeptalbum" über Bier fortgeführt, obwohl jedes frühere Album der Jungs auch irgendwie ein Konzeptalbum darüber war. Die Bierväter des australischen Punks klingen wie die Ramones mit Crocodile Hunter als Frontmann und schreiben Songs in einem unverkennbaren Down-Under-Stil über's Saufen, Raufen, Roadkill und die beste Zeit des Lebens. Die knallharte Herangehensweise der Jungs an den Punk hat sich als nachhaltig erwiesen und viele andere beeinflusst, von L7 und The Meanies bis hin zu The Chats und Amyl & The Sniffers. Das lärmende Punk-Trio wurde ursprünglich um 1985 von Bill Walsh, Peter Jones und Ross Knight in Melbourne gegründet. Robbie Watts ersetzte Jones 1990/91 an der Gitarre, und nach einer zwischenzeitlichen Pause gingen die Psychos 2005 zurück ins Studio, um ein neues Album aufzunehmen, wobei der neue Schlagzeuger Dean Muller (ex-Voodoo Lust) Bill Walsh ersetzte. Nach dem Schock über den tragischen Verlust von Robbie Watts im Jahr 2006 stand die Option im Raum, "Cosmic Psychos" zu begraben. Aber Knight war überwältigt von der Trauer und der Unterstützung der Fans, sodass er mit voller Unterstützung von Robbies Kindern beschloss, dass doch noch mehr Bier getrunken werden muss. John McKeering (von The Onyas) war bereits seit geraumer Zeit mit der Band befreundet und wurde Ende 2006 ausgewählt, von diesem Zeitpunkt an mit Knight & Muller Gitarre zu spielen. Mit einer legendären Debüt-EP, fast einem Dutzend Studioalben, einer Handvoll Live-Alben und einer von Fans finanzierten Dokumentation mit einer ziemlich prominenten Besetzung aus der Alternativ-Szene, liefern the blokes you can trust, wieder 12 neue Tracks mit geradlinigem, bierdurchnässtem Punkrock für Fans von Celibate Rifles, Radio Birdman, den frühen Saints, den Ramones aus ihrer mittleren Schaffensphase, Hard-Ons, C.O.F.F.I.N. und Stiff Richards.
