For the first Vinyl VA on UnExposed we wanted to showcase a few of our very favorite producers to kick things off with a dark & spacey bang.

A1 comes by way of “Dream Architect” (Alias for Colombia’s Buraye). “Maze of The Null Sun” is a dark & twisted journey through space. One of the best pieces of production to ever grace wax for this Colombian live-set master.

We fly across the pond for A2 to meetup with Italy’s rising star, Shkedul w/ “Mad Things”. Like most of Shkedul’s releases on wax, Mad Things is a trance, acid, techno-infused masterpiece. Nothing over the top. Not a banger by any means but still perfect for peak time or the afters. Absolute production mastery on A2. Elegant production work.

On the B-Side we travel back across the map to retrieve an original track by label boss, Jovi, and Honduras’ Adrian Alessandro. “Horror Film” is an eery techno-electro suspenseful nightmare of a track. This is the first of many VA appearances on UnExposed by this emerging powerhouse duo. Their first appearance on wax is a special one but there is much more to come. For now, enjoy their first serving.

To accompany Jovi & Alessandro’s original mix of “Horror Film”, UnExposed’s Mastering Engineer, Dani Labb steps in for remix duties! The Argentina Legend takes over control of the spaceship and drives us at the speed of life towards an alternate universe harboring a revered revision of Horror Film. A lot of attention to detail on Dani’s Remix. Intricate and very tasteful darkness.

If you have seen any of Dani Labb or Stefano Andiezzi’s tour stops the past few months then you have likely seen them utilizing B2 as a very effective tool for the late hours.

uper Deception dives into the uncanny beauty within the everyday, drawing inspiration from M.C. Escher’s idea of “super deception”: the art of creating the impossible without illusion. Nelson of the East translates that concept into sound: deep, tactile basslines and intricate percussion twist familiar rhythms into hypnotic new forms. Textures and samples are lifted from their origins and reimagined, creating tracks that feel both ancient and futuristic, physical and dreamlike. The result is an electronic landscape where sound folds in on itself: a timeless, shape-shifting exploration of rhythm, resonance and perception.

Nelson of the East is a Berlin-based sound artist, producer and educator. He operates at the intersection of experimental composition and club culture, shaping his craft both as a music teacher and behind the scenes as an experienced ghost producer.

First part of a trilogy, Unforeseen Alliances is a meeting of the French artist Voiski aka Kartei (DEMENT3D, Silicate records, WT records) and the duo Deception Plan, Doryan Javan based in Paris and R. Hernandez (Historia and Violencia, Droid Behaviour) based in Los Angeles. The techno in its purest expression - On the A side, Voiski delivers a very strong deep techno track, perfect balance between mechanical drums and hypnotic melody : emotionally intense !!

Meeting By Chance is a project by Marcin Cichy, one of the founders of the legendary duo Skalpel. Beyond his work with his home formation, Marcin also gained international recognition through his collaboration with the late Lil Peep on their joint EP Changes. His new album Time Deception reveals another side of Cichy"s musical imagination.

This is true sonic violence aimed at political division, economic manipulation, war profiteering, media propaganda and other vile forms of global oppression. With his Disco Deception album, Prince Fatty (who links up with Shniece for the occasion) delivers a captivating blend of disco-infused reggae and soulful grooves. Each track resonates with his signature low-end energy, and is fuelled by Fatty's impeccable production and Shniece's soul-stirring vocals. From funky basslines to shimmering horns, the album captures the essence of classic dub and ska while infusing it with modern flair and plenty of hooky horns and melodies. Shniece's dynamic range and emotive delivery elevate each song to really create a magnetic atmosphere that keeps listeners engaged from start to finish, all with character to spare.

DECEPTION ISLAND homes in on their minimal synth approach, with italo disco and darkwave being the main components of the album.

The subject matter of Lee’s lyrics range from upbeat to melancholic. Her work covers a range of personal and social issues, including current affairs and social commentary.

They are telling the stories of darkish shades of love, everlasting longing and solitude. They mirror the brutal part of human nature as well.

The cover art, created by Joan Pope, is a piece of art to praise in its own right. Flowers are above a skull, an easy symbol of life and death. Multiple hands caress the objects while down below is a naked woman lying down. She reaches up towards the skull while the skull if it had eyeballs, stares back at the figure. It’s simple and odd, yet eye-catching, and the static that lines the cover art makes it seem like it’s floating in space.

he year 2020 saw NNHMN release two stellar EPs, Deception Island I & II. A fascinating vintage exposure with a true minimalist approach. The typical melodic strings, dry snares and icy sequences are reminiscent of the 80s.


Each EP is a solid work of incredible dark electronica teetering between cold-wave, post-punk, minimal-synth and other related genres. The nocturnal, synth-driven production is led by Lee’s captivating and compelling vocals, whose seductive and sardonic delivery is inescapably entrancing.


Deception Island as a whole taps into a variety of moods and is of course undeniably dance floor friendly. Physically released by Oraculo Records as two separate vinyl EPs, both vinyl editions again quickly sold out. LONG CUT vinyl by Connor Dalton.

Credited as one of the leaders of the Bay Area thrash metal scene, Heathen released four studio albums in total, including their Victims Of Deception. Originally released in 1991 on the Roadrunner label, the album includes their cover version of Rainbow’s “Kill The King”. In support of the album, the band toured Europe with Sepultura and Sacred Reich.

This is the first time Victims Of Deception is available as a 2LP- set. The track “Hypnotized” features snippets from a speech by the infamous cult leader Jim Jones. Victims Of Deception is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on translucent yellow coloured vinyl and includes an insert.

This chilling continuation takes the form of "Perception is/as/of Deception", an anxiety fueled cyclone of pandemonium that only ADULT. would know how to harness. While "This Behavior" was recorded in the isolated snowcovered woods of northern Michigan, "Perception is/as/of Deception" was given life in a temporary space the duo created by painting their windowless basement entirely black, with the sole intention to deprive their senses, question their perceptions, and witness the resulting ramifications. With over 23 years and a sprawling discography left in their wake, Adam Lee Miller and Nicola Kuperus have spent their entire career as ADULT. obscuring any defined genre or style. With a history as uncanny as ADULT., the pieces that making up "Perception is/as/of Deception" might be perceived as their most punk-infused and introspective work to date. The elements of frustration and apprehension that have consistently woven throughout their material are at full mast, although augmented by a strident and more "head-on" approach. The new record from San Francisco based band Monophonics entitled "In Your Brain" sits on the fuzzy psych side of soul and funk. Paying homage to innovators such as Sly Stone, Norman Whitfield and Funkedelic's George Clinton, the 6 piece outfit displays their ability to put a moody stamp on each composition. Touching on everything from cinematic soul, heavy funk, 60's rock and spaghetti western laced with yellow sunshine acid, the album is sure to leave you tuned in and turned on!

'Mighty Joe Moon' the 1994 sophomore effort by Grant Lee Buffalo found the band hitting their artistic stride with their distinctive Americana/Alternative rock fusion and the evocative, wide screen song writing of singer and guitarist Grant Lee Phillips. The beautiful alternative rock hit 'Mockingbirds' brought the band, and this album, their biggest exposure and success. From all out rock assaults like 'Lone Star Song' to somber and highly personal numbers such as 'Happiness' and 'Honey Don't Think' the album is a highlight of the era and the best record the band ever made. Reissued on 180 gram vinyl from Plain Recordings.

Right after the TWCOR debut for the digital branch of Planet Rhythm, the mysterious TWCOR is back with a monstrous package of top notch dancefloor techno. Grey Matter EP revolves around deep low ends and exciting FX cuts. The 4 tracks included in this package are a fine combination of sturdy techno sounds that should turn some heads among lovers of the genre.

Ever since the early 90s, The Mover has set the standard for apocalyptic melodramatic techno and has been praised as one of the leading artists of Planet Core Productions. His distinct tone and memorable production expertise, causes one to leave the world behind. In 2018 he returns with - Undetected Act From The Gloom Chamber', an album which implies all the goodness and fears he is renowned for. Eight masterpieces carrying the authentic excitement that you would expect from the Mover in a timeless fashion. Shifting between electro beats and classic old school techno patterns, the album sets a moody tone. The release is filled with magnificent bass lines and dark-dreamy pads that leave the mind in a trance. Muscular drums and authentic synth-lines paired with the unmistakable Mover signature, makes this assembly of gems an outstanding masterpiece.

Eleven tracks recorded by Miles Davis' nonet in 1949 and 1950, The Birth Of The Cool may just be the most accurately titled album ever. The tracks just bleed hipness - cool, smooth, and swinging - and practically define the genre of "cool jazz". Unparalleled recordings required for any fan of mid-century American jazz.

Rubbermaidxxx is a recent music performance project by the Irish artist Anna McCarthy, rather than simply the title of one autonomous artwork. Rubbermaidxxx is a character or unstable identity, an emancipatory underdog with a heart for daredevilry. The project sits naturally within McCarthy’s larger practice, which moves between drawing, assemblage, happenings and collective actions.

Clad in a black balaclava and fetish climbing wear, she abseils from buildings before entering the stage. For the first performance in New York City, she was invited by Kyp Malone of TV on the Radio to perform at his club Francis Kite Club in Alphabet City, NYC and since has continued to make a name for herself hanging off façades, singing, dancing and mopping the floor together with her performance collaborators Miss Philip a.k.a. Philip Errico and Michael Tapper at Pianos NYC, Kottbusser Tor and Genezarethkirche Berlin or the Villa Stuck Museum in Munich.

The album was produced in Munich and New York in 2025 in collaboration with her brother Nick McCarthy (Franz Ferdinand) and Anton Kaun (Rumpeln). What started as a quick improv turned into a high-energy 4-hour session of the siblings playing manic ball with beats, bass, guitars and vocals resulting in what laid the basis to this album. In the weeks following, Anna McCarthy, who is known for her cut-up production style, reminiscent of albums such as White Noise or Flying Lotus, continued to develop the vocals, performance and music by mixing in an amalgam of field recordings with her narrative spoken word, including sounds of protests, dollar stores or ice-cream trucks, as well as collaborating with the noise artist Rumpeln for the last two tracks of the album.

McCarthy is also known as the lyricist and singer of What Are People For? (debut 2022 on Alien Transistor) with its dystopic dance music candy-cane shows and equally humorously critical tongue-in-cheek bangers such as Bring back the Dirt, Drones or Partytime. Anna McCarthy's spoken word, social urgency and enthusiasm to experiment across mediums is comparable to other contemporaries such as Moor Mother, Miho Hatori, Gonjasufi, Tricky, or Cibo Matto.

The name itself is telling. Rubbermaidxxx evokes elasticity, artificiality, domestic labour and the commercial world of cleaning and garbage. It suggests a body capable of stretching, absorbing filth and cleaning up after society – only to revolt against the role it has been assigned.

Rubbermaidxxx is a master of deception, juggling fact and fiction as a reflection of our times – a diamond thief, a protester, or even responsible for the Louvre heist? This album invites the listener and viewer in, playfully dismantling hierarchies and power structures as she goes through a hopeful amalgam of dance, protest & love songs.

Seven - a number steeped in mystery and meaning, woven into the very fabric of time and space. Throughout history, the number seven has stood as an immutable symbol: from the days of the week to the alchemical metals, from the kings of Rome to its seven hills. An archetype that unites astronomy, myth, and ancient civilizations, finding its deepest expression in Rome.
According to legend, the Eternal City guarded seven sacred relics, the Pignora Imperii, objects whose possession ensured divine protection, prestige, and political authority. Ovid referred to them as the "pledges of power": testimonies of Rome's Trojan heritage and its connection with peoples such as the Sabines, Etruscans, and Greeks. These artifacts, now lost, were:

From this mythology emerges the new project by Lykos Records: a narrative journey in seven chapters, each dedicated to one of these relics, unfolding through the various artists releases corresponding to catalogue numbers 7, 14, 21... up to LYKOS-XLIX.
Chapter I, "Lo scettro di Priamo" LYKOS-VII, is dedicated to the symbol of Troy's power, brought to Latium by Ilioneus on Aeneas' command as a pledge of alliance and reconciliation. It is said to have been kept on the Palatine Hill.
To inaugurate this journey, seven Roman artists - PixFoil, DJ Red, Brando Lupi, Luigi Tozzi, Feral, Sunday Bath, and Worg - will give life to a sonic mosaic celebrating the musical heritage of the capital. Their tracks will form a collective work that bridges generations and diverse artistic visions.
Each double vinyl will feature an original illustration by Roberto Mulliri, wrapping the entire front and back cover and included inside as a poster.
Within the Pignora Imperii lies the strength and power of Rome, witnesses of the city's epic saga; likewise, Lykos Records weaves its destiny into the history of these sacred Roman objects, becoming a messenger of their enduring legends.

The long-awaited reissue of Toba makes it clear, once and for all, to fans and industry insiders that disco music produced in Italy between the late 70s and early 80s had no chance of success. What was disparagingly called "spaghetti disco", considered a poor imitation of real American disco music, only good for Japanese cartoons. This was the main reason that prompted Italians to record their songs abroad, as Fratelli La Bionda with their pseudonym D.D.Sound in Munich. Luigi Figini, with "Supercool" and "Percussion Sundance" by Edo Martin and Pino Santapaga (the same as "Step By Step" by Koxo), claimed that Kash was a one-off Swedish disco project, a lie that came to light when an Italian test pressing from the previous year, made by GDB, was posted !!! Amin-Peck followed the trend of passing off their songs as foreign music on the intuition of their Roman producers. So ''Love Disgrace'' was released on 7'' by a label called Connection, which never really existed, created for the purpose by Giancarlo Meo, confident that this would bring success to the Bolognese duo who were already creating 'proto Italo-Disco tracks' with a new-wave trend. To make the whole operation seem real, the London agency Ellie Jay Ltd. was involved, contacting Andy Fernbach of Jacobs Studios Ltd. The vinyl was also produced in the UK, otherwise the deception would have been discovered, then imported to Italy by Best Record. Italo-Disco was officially born after this, in 1982, not before! Everything makes sense now ! Real events that actually happened and purely invented names and anecdotes. Just think, even the image of Tony Balch used for the cover of Toba was taken from Grand Theft's 1978 album "Have You Seen This Band?" and reproduced on the new redesigned cover, as were the heads of the other musicians. The idea of a real band called Toba had finally come to fruition and would lead to a second sensational success the following year. Now it all makes sense! Facts and anecdotes that really happened and names and circumstances that are purely fictional. Finally, everything adds up! Real things and invented names of musicians and collaborators. It's important to clarify what we've said above, but we haven't talked about "Make Your Mind Up" and "Don't Take It" and the two masterful remixes performed by Dave Mathmos. In short: with the original versions we'll make Italo-Disco purists happy, with the remix versions we'll please new younger followers with more modern sounds and versions more in line with today's tastes and trends.

The futuristic proto junglism of Coral continues. With work that's been in the pipes for quite some time, Coral finally delivers an impressive 5 track EP made up of lush pads and deep bass, accompanied by vicious stabs and heavy breaks. An EP aimed at both dance floor and living room. To compliment this jam-packed release, the Dutch hardcore master Tommy De Roos, also known as FFF, has taken one of the tracks a step further down the rabbit hole with even deeper bass and a massive (!) mantra to make all heads turn. Comprised of Clams Baker Jr., Benjamin Romans Hopcraft, Adam J. Harmer, Marley Mackey, Quinn Whalley, and Bleu Ottis Wright, Too Cold To Hold is undoubtedly their best and most ambitious album to date. Taking on board the repetitive and polyrhythmic grooves of gqom (an alluring South African take on house music), adding in a dash of hip hop flavours and even jazz, and then harnessing that to their punk-funk, disco pogo, it’s a spellbinding mix. The album is produced by the band’s Ben Romans Hopcraft alongside Jamie Neville.

Talking about the first track to be taken from the album, ‘Fashion Week’, which is a joyous account of fashion’s die-hard fans rather than the more visible arrivistes or dilettantes, Clams said: “Those that will do anything to become that thing. R&D methods, rhythmanalytically applied, dissect the aftermath of an industrial society that burst through the ecological capacity of Spaceship Earth. Fractal visions of war and innovation spike and recede from and into the surfaces of reality being bent and guiding the eyes, ears, touch towards a laboratory in the year 1961. A nuclear expert, Don Lewis, receives orders to decrypt the mysterious black dodecagonal disc known as Fortec and the extraterrestrial biology unearthed in Roswell. He joins a team disassembling Fortec and studying the recurrent dodecahedral patterns linked to the human nervous system.
Through dismantling and probing, the team cycles through a saecular search devoid of finite conclusions, limited by Earth’s intellectual and technological prowess. One 1960s night, Lewis, while meddling with Fortec’s cyborganic innards, accidentally electrifies himself. His cyclotron and missile experience guides him to circuit-bend Fortec, stirring the entity from a mechanical slumber. Lewis clandestinely keeps working on Fortec fragments, transitioning from military engineer to musician, pioneering the LEO module, a fusion of Fortec’s essence and audio engineering.
He shares his insights with Roland founder Ikutaro Kakehashi, aiding the creation of the iconic TR-808. Meanwhile, Fortec branches out, coining “Cyberspace” – a collective illusion of liberty unshackled by physical, political, or spiritual bounds, anchored in the equitable distribution of The Golden Ratio across realities.
