The title track “Premise“ opens the A- side with an infectious garage groove and Fleer’s signature brand of detuned vintage polysynths, building up to a bright crescendo that reveals a rhythmically captivating vocal hook. “Know U” features a piercing drum groove, occasionally interrupted by abstract Buchla glitches and a reduced RnB vocal chop paired with ethereal, almost organ-like layers of pads to culminate in a stripped-down moment for the bass line to take center stage. The main theme of “Thinkage” is a classic break paired with a layered pattern of abstract, percussive vocal chops. This rhythmic pulse is accompanied by a wild harmony of constantly warping and evolving pads and drawn-out bass sounds. Opening the B-side, “Real Love” is the darkest tune on the EP. Its unstable chords and intricate, unpredictable textures induce a constant sense of unease, held together by a subtle techno groove. “Rush” contrasts this with a euphoric chord progression reminiscent of early post-dubstep anthems. Every moment of Skudd offers a place to explore. For his second release on Omen Wapta, Delft-based sound artist, Floid, fuses soundscapes and rhythms in seven tracks that swap peaks and troughs for narrative arcs. Cinematic, immersive, dense and danceable, the new EP, delivers sonic pieces that hypnotically swell and engage brain and body dance. Drop into a snake pit with cavernous moments and unexpected ornaments that rattle and slice. Affected pan flutes, meshed with shamanic vocals and organic percussion conjure a nocturnal fever dream in the jungle. Tempo tricks make high bpms feel stretched. With Skudd, the only thing guiding you through the soundscapes is a certain groove in the constant kicks, rhythms and basslines. Everywhere else it takes your mind is up to you.

It starts of with jacking proto ACID house song called Delayed Attraction. A song that would have made the kids crazy at the Music Box in the mid 80's. And are still as uplifting for all us house heds. The second song Tear Gas takes us back to Europe, with a slow Belgian beat that moves like a train and hits you straight in the chest, and on top of this a monotom synth pad on top of that it gives the song a some what a scary dream feeling. The third song Nasjiga is taking us further in to the complex dream but packaged in a Detroit electro vibe with sounds that makes me think of a hospital hart beat monitor but then mixed up with bit-crushd lo-fi dragon covers in a dubby inferno that keeps on building up without coming to a climax (in a good way). The forth song Verfolgung is a 8 minute stomping song that's starts of in a Burzum sounding flute but the quickly goes over to a freaky baseline that's sounds like its made out of a congas patch and a detuned bass on top of that. Known for its groundbreaking techno releases, Infrastructure New York, is relaunched! Celebrating 27 years of Function releases this year and the label's 25th anniversary, the label will serve as an outlet for his new material, reissues of out-of-print classics from Synewave, Sandwell District and Ostgut Ton (and of course, Infrastructure), as well as developing new artists. As a member of the Sandwell District collective, David Sumner aka Function, from 2007 onward was instrumental in cultivating and ushering in a new sound of dark, cerebral hypnotica - forcing the hand of change in global techno. Green EP serves as a testament to this, further exploring these depths. The EP pays homage to the day when David arrived in Berlin with his green suitcase where his record "Isolation" on Sandwell District was released, hitting the ground running and springboarding into an incredibly successful career, becoming a stalwart DJ/producer, after years as a struggling artist. Green EP encapsulates the same raw power and hypnotic energy of his genre-defining Sandwell District releases Isolation, Anticipation and Variance, updated with a modern flair. Subject f (Function) has clearly transcended, as expressed through the opening track "Initiation" arriving at his "New Designation". Glass Pyramid released four 7" inch singles over the span of 1979-1986. When we originally re-released their music in 2008, we were told by the band this song "Better By The Minute" was never pressed on vinyl.. Years later with the help of our fans we learn it does exist! So here is what we call.."Better" Better By The Minute + "Stop It" another unreleased track taken from the same 1986 Studio 7 Oklahoma City session.

Koryu Budo Records is a new techno label based in Madrid. This is their second release, as for the first release, it will only be released on vinyl (300 copies).

This EP named ‘The Last Gift’ has been written and produced by HD Substance, the Spanish producer, DJ, journalist, owner of SUBtl recordings and teacher at The Bass Valley. 2018 marks his 30 year anniversary in electronic music and he keeps on playing techno all over the world, releasing techno in a constant basis, teaching techno at The Bass Valley, writing techno for Beatburguer, Clubbingspain, Pole Group or Falling Ethics and releasing other people’s techno in his own label SUBtl.

The EP opens with "No Body Cares", a complex and timeless track, an orgy of analog psychedelia, the sequences that seem extracted from old clocks are mixed together to offer a hypnotic and enveloping sensation.

In second place, we find "Red Lady", pure and raw techno that is nourished with a devilish bass line, that immerses us in a sinister and dark universe. Direct simplicity.

"Red Lady_Sarcoma version" follows the line of the original track, though the main bass line disappears and in its replaced by syncopated sounds that take away some of the aggressiveness of the track but nourish it with more groove.

A work of great maturity, which shows this producer as one of the great names of techno.

The principles of pleasure radiate a knowing, carnal heat throughout the genre-fluid sound of LSDXOXO. His decade of dedication to the sensibility of underground club culture has brought forth club classics interwoven with pop music hooks and subversive, tongue-in-cheek lyrics.

After four years of what LSDXOXO, real name RJ Glasgow, calls a period of “healing and self-discovery,” he is consolidating his multiplicitous sound with one compelling masterstroke: the debut album DOGMA, to be released on his own imprint F.A.G. DOGMA marks a complete paradigmatic shift: it is a poetic and fantastical performance, a route for deep escapism through an expanded musical palette including piano and guitar, and a deeply personal confessional through a fresh approach to songcrafting.

Within DOGMA, RJ meditates on the interlinked qualities of fame, infamy, lust and submission, as he rediscovers a pure, unadulterated approach to music-making, all the while adopting a futurist approach to pop music appreciation. RJ’s unmistakable signatures—the smutty dancefloor caller, the maker of irresistible bangers, the latter-day electroclash and DnB nostalgist—take on even more shades and intricacies. Despite his widespread acclaim as a collaborator with and songwriter for other artists, RJ strips DOGMA down almost exclusively to himself, carving out intentional space as a chameleonic vocalist and performer. The album’s promo single “Bloodlust” offers angsty, intimate indie-tronica, and musings on the intoxicating nature of love and infatuation. The lead single “Ghost” reaches beyond RJ’s Philadelphia origins to find itself in the deep south, in a sultry fever dream of coquettish R&B featuring backing vocals from close collaborator Kelela. Elsewhere on the album futuristic love, pensive pop earworms, evocative vintage dance styles and sleazy club tracks intermingle. While the DOGMA era will eventually explore remixes and reworks, the album is RJ’s purest embrace of himself and his artistry.

RJ first garnered attention as LSDXOXO in New York City with his on-the-pulse Soundcloud edits and then as part of the cult GHE20GOTH1K collective. His DJ sets and productions quickly earned him acclaim across globally-linked underground scenes. His decision to shift from sampled vocals to picking up the pen and microphone pushed his reach out to the stratosphere; his association with XL Recordings via the Dedicated 2 Disrespect EP in 2021 was a turning point for the burgeoning superstar.

This multiplicity of the LSDXOXO sound has led to enviable co-signs. These include being selected as the opening DJ for Beyoncé’s German Renaissance tour dates, remixing Lady Gaga, Pink Pantheress and Shygirl and producing five tracks for Kelela's highly acclaimed 2023 album for Warp Records, Raven. His fully-realised live show has also taken to the stage, serving fierce charisma to huge audiences at festivals including Primavera, Nuits Sonores and Rewire.

Berlin techno talent Regent returns to Mutual Rytm with second 12" release, 'Delta Hyve' - a five-track package lined with peak-time heat.

Regent is an ever-growing voice in the global techno conversation. His tracks have found their way into high-profile sets worldwide and are renowned for their impressive blend of the past and the present. Versatile but always designed for maximum impact, delivering an impressively crafted sound made for powerful systems, this new outing offers a wealth of different moods and grooves for various parts of the night. Returning to SHDW's Mutual Rytm imprint following 2023's successful 'Coral Knife' EP, he unveils a fresh selection of cuts that emphasise his emergence with 'Delta Hyve'.

The title cut 'Delta Hyve' opens up with devastating low ends and busy synths that scurry about the mix to bring dynamism to the rooted drums, while 'Ophaal' delivers thumping kicks and coarse, textured hits scrape and scratch, while supersized hi-hats bring the intensity to all new levels. 'Hygea Core' brings the pressure with hunched-over drum patterns and a sense of urgency in the bass, while creepy pads create an unsettling atmosphere. A snapshot in time...Where all the madness began... Sandwell District. In the summer of 2004 David Sumner (Function), then living in his native New York City, was over in Europe playing some shows. When passing through Berlin to play the old Tresor location at Potsdamer Platz, he stayed with long term friend and collaborator, Karl O'Connor (Regis). One afternoon the two head over to Hardwax and T++ puts on a copy of Sleeparchive Elephant Island. After months of discussions regarding the flavor of the moment ''Minimal'', everything changed in that instant...They looked at each other and said ''now this changes everything!'' Finally, a way forward! Later that night at Tresor - as Function is playing, Regis is behind him organizing a mic...As Dave mixes Regis Guiltless with Elephant Island, Karl starts singing a punk cover version of Buddy Holly Peggy Sue over his set. It's all there in that one moment! Sandwell District. Dave goes back to New York inspired. He sees there's no information on the record apart from an email address. So, he gets in touch...He gets a reply from Roger, the two hit it off and organize the first ever Sleeparchive remix - Regis Asbestos (Sleeparchive Remix). On the B-side comes a cut-up version of Karl and Dave's Portion Reform classic Closing In, where they collaborate with Detroit Underground's Kero to form Re:Group. Belgian independent label De:tuned, founded by Ruben Boons and Bert Hermans, celebrates its 50th release with the long-awaited 10-track studio album 'Analog Days' by Swedish electronic music pioneer Robert Leiner. During the first years of De:tuned, Robert Leiner (aka The Source Experience) played a vital part in kick-starting the label. He also graced the De:tuned parties with his outstanding dj sets and captivating live acts.

Continuing the label's 15th anniversary celebrations, De:tuned and Robert Leiner mark the occasion with an extraordinary collection of mostly hardware productions recorded between 2005 and 2015. These diverse jams have now been mixed and completed for this momentous milestone. Born and raised in Sicily but now based in Berlin, SLV is known for his innovative approach to techno and its various shades. Away from the club, he also produces music for film soundtracks, adding a sense of cinematic edge to his techno cuts and is a master of both analog and digital technologies - a true audio engineer who crafts unique, compelling sounds. Graustufen opens with punch drum programming and scintillating percussion that dances atop the groove as booming bass brings serious weight down low. Legendary band SOFT, the driving force behind Kyoto's party scene and underground music culture, releases their new album "Passing Tone" from their home base "softribe" to commemorate their 30th anniversary!

This release marks the first time since the 2018 album "Tokinami" that Soft has released new music. It also comes on the heels of the 2021 vinyl reissue of their 2010 album "Tam (Message To The Sun)" on the labels 17853 Records (headed by CHEE CHIMIZU), TUFF VINYL, and Crosspoint (headed by J.A.K.A.M.).

The ever prolific Teffa is back on LoDubs, albeit for his first Vinyl EP.

As just alluded to, this is the second meeting of the Far West Ruler and the Low End Master from Leeds, although one might be forgiven for blinking and missing the highly sought after (sold out in 5 minutes) Poly DubPlate cut released in early 2023, which was a matter of course in a year where pressing turn times quadrupled. As glad as we are that those days are in the past it also still left the inkling that a full release was necessary once the time and tunes presented themselves.

..And as such, here we have a total of 6 now-ting Grime hybrids (4 on the vinyl, and 2 vinyl-only bonus tracks in the DL and details on how to get those as a poly Dub, only for owners of the vinyl EP), Containing the elastic basslines of a true UKG and Dubstep Stalwart, whilst stretching those elements over syncopated, at time staccato-esque riddims, all beneath a novel modernization of the stilted, subharmonic and eski-esque synth bass pads that are quintessentially Grime. There truly is more to these with each listen, all the while grabbing you at first go.

Mit ihrem neuen Album „Sad Girl“ schlägt TSHA ein neues Kapitel auf, in dem sie ihren Tracks ihren eigenen stimmlichen Stempel aufdrückt und sich den Genres nähert, die sie schon immer ausprobieren wollte, anstatt die Anerkennung ihrer Kolleg:innen zu suchen. TSHA zeigt nicht nur die euphorischen oder melancholischen Seiten ihres Charakters, sondern stellt sie alle zur Schau. Es ist ein Werk, das zeigt, dass es in Ordnung ist, traurig zu sein, und dass man darin sogar schwelgen kann - schließlich kann man die Höhen nicht ohne die Tiefen haben.

Es ist das zweite Album des aufstrebenden britischen Stars und folgt auf das Debütalbum, „Capricorn Sun“, aus dem Jahr 2022, das auf einem hellen, melodischen House-Fundament aufbaute und britische Garage- und Rave-Einflüsse einbrachte. Das Album wurde vom DJ Mag und BBC Radio1 Dance zu ihrem jeweiligen Album des Jahres gekürt, während das Music Tech Mag TSHA zur Produzentin des Jahres kürte, was für eine weibliche Produzentin, deren Produktionsfähigkeiten oft übersehen werden, sehr viel bedeutet.

Während sie Freude an Hedonismus und Eskapismus findet, ist „Sad Girl“ auch ein Album, das schwierige Gefühle anspricht. Das Zwischenspiel, „Lonely Girl“, erzählt von ihrer isolierten Kindheit in der überwiegend weißen Stadt Fareham in der Nähe von Portsmouth, in der sie sich Märchen im Stil von „Secret Garden“ ausdachte. „Green“ entstand nach einem Streit mit ihrem Partner, wo sie offen über toxische Positivität singt (auf dem Album singt sie zum ersten Mal). TSHA mag in den DJ-Videos, die sie in den sozialen Medien postet, Selbstvertrauen ausstrahlen und von einem Ohr zum anderen grinsen, aber sie hat auch offen über ihre Probleme mit ihrem psychischen Wohlbefinden gesprochen.

Mit dem Albumtitel lässt sie ihre Teenagerjahre Revue passieren. Er ist eine Anspielung auf emo-mäßige MSN-Screennamen und Hotmail-Adressen - und man kann es in den Anflügen von 00er-Jahre-R&B, rauem Elektro und hymnischem Techno hören, die an die Bittersüße und die Angst des frühen Erwachsenseins erinnern. Zwischen den Momenten der Stille und des Nachdenkens ist es im Kern eine Dance-Platte: heiße Club-Stomper reiben sich an hypnotischen Floorfillern und MTV-tauglichem Pop.

Belgian producer Uit de Hoogte returns to his own label LANK with ‘Polos’ EP, celebrating the mesmerizing art of looping in all its splendor. This release fuses loopy vocal chops, intricate chord progressions, and percussion hits, creating a collection of trance-inducing killers for the dancefloor.

The EP opens with “Pink Polo,” a hard-hitting house anthem that layers wonky chord progressions, super-saw synths, and a vocal acapella from Ye, crafting a high-energy peak time banger.

The second track, "Lazy 8" (stylized as ∞), mellows things out with a hypnotic female vocal loop of the word "octa," repeated into infinity. Driven by a relentless drum machine and a warm, woolly bassline, this track draws dancers into a deep, driving euphoria.

Side B kicks off with "Loops of XTc," a track built entirely from samples salvaged from a 90s sample CD discovered in a local thrift store. With a clever twist on cheap, nostalgic loops, Uit de Hoogte reshapes these elements into a deep, dub-infused house gem that revives the spirit of the 90s club scene.

The machinic rapture of Van Boom’s debut album, ‘Prosthetics’, firmly planted the Kuwaiti artist in the underground of critical producers that stoke grisly and inhuman themes. Set against the backdrop of the Gulf Region, these themes remain exceptionally nefarious. His latest release, the ‘NUBORNE’ EP, mounts wider explorations of the eviscerating sonic grounds that he began to depict with his first long-playing document.

Gestured with the EP’s title, ‘NUBORNE’ stakes its significance on regeneration and permutation, clearly relishing in the aftermath of ‘Prosthetics’. Across four tracks, Van Boom crafts precisely to forge a set of works that are attached to their live performance state. It’s here that the EP is at home, for this is where unknowns come into play, this is where distortion leads to novel structures. Featuring collaborations with whiterose, Safety Trance, and Evita Manji, ‘NUBORNE’ is rendered evermore atypical. Accompanying the shift in design, there’s an unnerving ambience that’s given free reign across the EP, too. Snapshots of solitude prick the focal points amongst rhythmic tics, as if these shards deform the tracks in real time. With sheer relentless momentum, Van Boom seizes a new path wielding his familiar forces.

The collective Beste Modus Cinthie, Diego Krause, stevn.aint.leavn, Ed Herbst and Albert Vogt launched the label in 2012 as a platform for their own material, not long after came the realisation that many other artists around them were keen to be involved with the imprints burgeoning success and this led to the birth of Beste Fruende, a home for music from friends and affiliates of the label. Kevin Over’s ‘Butchers’ leads on the package with a swinging drum groove, emotive piano chords and a garage sub-tinged sub bass line alongside resonant synth licks and infectious vocals. Rindeau follows with ‘Wax On The Moon’, taking things deeper via twinkling Rhodes lines, dusty robust drums and modulating percussion. Cuartero’s ‘Floor Paca’ opens the flip side with choppy bass stabs, soft chord hits and a subtly nuanced rhythmic drive before ‘Slow Motion’ rounds out the package, employing classic deep house tropes with airy ethereal pads, vocal chops and shuffled, strippedback drums at its core.

Following on from last years's "Mondo Organico" compilation, the latest Invisible Inc compilation EP "Mondo Ritmo" sets its sights firmly on rhythm and percussion.

Featuring a global array of artists hailing from Argentina to Senegal and everywhere in between, the influences and styles featured include latin, afro, dub, dancehall, experimental, acid and more.
Proven and tested dancefloor bombs are Mytron & Balam's opening track "Cabasa Loca" which label boss GK Machine has been spinning at his Wrong Party nights and elsewhere for the last 6 months or so...and the house/dancehall hybrid floor filler "Wicked Can't Run" by LA producer Tom Chasteen (Exist Dance/Dub Club) featuring legendary Jamaican DJ and toaster U Brown, and mixed by equally legendary producer/keyboardist David Harrow who first came to our attention through his regular keyboard contributions to all things On-U Sound related in the 1980s.

The rest of the tracks may not be peak time bangers but they are sure to please the more esoteric and adventurous dancefloors out there...it's an honour to have on board Calypso Records head honcho Thomass Jackson, Thomash (Voodoohop) and GATS (Suçuarana / Curuba) who together as Changa Boys bring in Senegalese drummer Ndiaxo dal Jaam, and last but not least a certain Machine with assistance on percussion from the mysterious Congo Caveman.
