Jerome (of Still Music) immediately fell for this deep house 4 tracker and that record has been steadily in Jerome's crates through the years. Jerome remembers reaching out to Kenny Gino back then and they've been friends since then. This reissue is a teaser for a larger project with Solid Gold Playaz that will be released on Still Music later this year.

'Atlantis' is a smouldering jazz-funk, cinematic excursion courtesy of the Brazilian maestro, Daniel Salinas. A conductor, pianist, arranger, and producer, he has worked across several genres within Brazil’s rich musical tapestry, including the Beatles-inspired Jovem Guarda movement, jazz-funk, and MPB to name just a few. He featured on records by Franco, Célia, Perfume Azul Do Sol, Wilson Simonal, Juca Chaves and a whole host of Brazilian greats.

Released in 1973 on Top Tape Records, 'Atlantis’, features one of Salinas’ best-known recordings (at least in Europe), his much-loved interpretation of 'Also Sprach Zarathustra’ entitled 'Straussmania’. It was inspired by Eumir Deodato's global hit of the same year and went on to be adopted by various scenes becoming a classic within rare groove circles as well as amongst breaks and beats diggers.

Other highlights include the only original Salinas composed track on the album; the driving, orchestrated Brazilian groover, 'Baião', and an epic, head nod breakbeat interpretation of Donovan's folky 'Atlantis'.

'Atlantis' was also issued by the American record label Cadet in 1974 with alternative yellow sleeve artwork; this re-issue is a replica of the original Brazilian Top Tape version from 1973.

17 Steps present ‘New Atlantis’, a 5 track EP from versatile DJ, producer and dance music historian Chrissy.

The EP takes its name from an unexpected source – a 17th century utopian novel of the same name by Sir Francis Bacon, depicting a future society in which science has become the ruling principle. It’s an inspiring idea for Chrissy – an antidote to the assault on truth and intellectualism led by climate change deniers, anti-vaxxers, flat earthers, creationists, unfit-for-office demagogues and the slow suffocation of fact-based journalism.

‘New Atlantis’ explores the utopian worldview implicit in early rave music, drawing on classic Chicago house, UK hardcore and Drexciyan electro. The result is a collection of jacking breaks and bass infused dance music washed with a bittersweet euphoria – celebrating and lamenting an era’s forgotten optimism.

On their debut album as DOVS, Tin Man and AAAA summon the ethereal spirit of acid. Tin Man, AKA Johannes Auvinen, has been studying the emotional potential of the Roland TB-303 for 15 years now, and AAAA (Gabo Barranco), a fixture of the Mexico City underground, might as well be his acolyte. While the coincidental similarities of their studio and live approaches make this collaboration feel natural, even expected, Silent Cities is anything but. We recognize most of the elements here—the ubiquitous acid box and hardware drum machines—yet Auvinen and Barranco arrive in new, mysterious territory this time out. Lush arpeggiation, breakbeats and atmosphere imbue tracks like 'Nostalgic Oblivion' with a widescreen grandeur. 'Rene Figures' recalls Specific Momentific-era Cristian Vogel, symphonic, melodic techno with a kick heavy enough for dark, cavernous rooms. Meanwhile, beatless cuts like 'Whining Acid' are as intricately crafted as Tin Man's well-loved classical work (Vienna Blues). But as a duo, they craft a virtuosic harmonic narrative almost solely with 303s. Tin Man and Donato Dozzy's 'Nonneo' was the first release on Acid Test, setting the tone for the label and unlocking new potential for the genre. DOVS' closer on Silent Cities, 'Diazepam Blues', is the label's new melancholic acid anthem and a statement of purpose for Tin Man and AAAA, two hardware masters who have created an album of remarkable emotional depth.

Time flies when you're having fun and we can't fathom how this can be Ben Sun's 5th EP for Delusions Of Grandeur but it's true enough and once again he comes up trumps in the form of the Place Of Worship EP. Having previously graced such esteemed imprints as Royal Oak, Tru Thoughts, Razor n Tape as well as his own vinyl-only label Voyeurhythm the London based Australian producer continues to be both highly regarded, yet somewhat under the radar but we're sure that's about to change with this incredible new three tracker.

Opening up we have See It Come Shining, just the kind of life-affirming club track which seem to be in such short supply these days, but that we need now more than ever. Gospel flavoured piano chords tug on the heart strings whilst a simple, raw disco groove with added 909 punch creates a warmth and energy that transcends the dance floors that it's destined to liberate.

Flipping over we have Oceanways T150, a deep, analogue jam that harks back to simpler times when breakbeats collided with a house thump, uplifting pianos meld into punching basslines and discovering music through muffled old cassette mixtapes or patchy pirate radio reception was all we knew.

Rounding off the EP we have the perfect closer Atlantis Transfer. Here Ben puts more early influences into the mixing pot with ambient washes cascading down over a sublime 90's deep house bassline. Analogue hats and tripped-out sound FX skirt around a naive synth melody making for a heady late night treat to get lost in.

Tivoli Trax started as a Multiplex series paying tribute to local artists connected to Kong's Mantra night club, while it was based in Copenhagen's Tivoli Gardens. The first 1996 EP was followed in '97 by Vol. 2 and finally by a 12 track CD compilation in '98. In 2018 we are bringing back this iconic tribute to amazing Copenhagen based producers with Tivoli Trax vol. 3!

To bridge the twenty years gap, the first track is an original Hüebsch Originators production from '98. This deep techno track was released on the Tivoli Trax CD, and we are delighted to finally be able to present it on wax. The duo also released the Evanouir EP on Multiplex in '97. Secondly we have the beautiful Bodies by Vassdrag, a Norwegian word for a river system and the Multiplex alias of a well-known Copenhagen producer, who's been releasing on a quintessential techno imprint since 2010.

B From E aka. Frej Levin, a rising star on the Danish scene and known for releases on Copenhagen Underground Posse and Tartelet Records, delivers classic, atmospheric, deep house in the form of No Memory. The last track is Nightwave by Dennis Uprock, better known as dub-techno producer Resoe of Baum Records, Echocord and Pattern Repeat. A prolific producer of multiple genres. He has used his Uprock moniker when playing house music since the mid-90s.

Dans l'enfance de la musique électronique dansante, le musicien reproduit l'autrefois essentiellement acoustique dansant directement sur un petit ensemble d'appareils et ne pouvant qu'agir sur de faibles transformations sonores, restreint à des possibilités de son par les ingénieurs d'une firme parait bien triste dans l'échec de la libération de ses semblables. Aujourd'hui par le biais de la multitude des supports et leur consultation facilité par les nouveaux médias, naviguer entre pratiques d'autrefois et connaissances de ces anciennes cultures tout en les combinant au mode d'aujourd'hui permet le rassemblement de la culture d'une lignée dont le point vectoriel semble remonter vers la naissance d'un certain assemblage physique qui engage un peu près toujours un certain ensemble de mouvements déclenchés autour d'un axe sensible ici non seulement à l'interaction sonore dans un isolement provoqué mais aussi dans le rapport du corps dans l'environnement construit autour d'une énergie artificielle ayant pour but principal le déclenchement de couches successives de vents à modulation de fréquences variées et pulsées à de multiples échelles par la sensibilité humaine de plusieurs personnes à plusieurs époques et rassembler autour d'un même esprit festif harmonieux. Angel Witch is a pioneering British heavy metal band formed in London in 1976. Together with bands like Iron Maiden, Saxon and Diamond Head, Angel Witch is a key part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), they are recognized as a major influence on early 1980s metal, including bands like Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth.

The band lineup back then consisted of Kevin Heybourne, Kevin Riddles and Dave Hogg. Angel Witch's self-titled 1980 debut album is considered a seminal, influential work, and to this day metalheads all over the world sing along to the title track Angel Witch whenever it's played. The album cover features an image of a well-known painting; The Fallen Angels Entering Pandemonium by John Martin.

The self-titled release highlights his creativity, painting a hypnotic soundscape that soothes the soul.

Experimental wizard Dennis Egberth is known for his distinguished approach to experimental music, free improv, and alternative pop, as well as his fascinating skills in blending cosmic composition and chilled ambient and electronic sounds. He presents floating melodies of irresistible bass lines and long, modal buildups that come alive with exploding lyricism. His new record highlights his compositional roots and was inspired by the evolution of electronics in this genre during the late ‘60s and ‘70s.

Egberth fused his talents with those of Fredrik Ljungkvist on tenor sax and clarinet, Niklas Barnö on trumpet, Alexander Zethson on Wurlitzer, Linus Hillborg on electronics, and double bassist Joe Williamson, forming an unforgettable sextet. Together, they’re more like a thriving ecosystem than anything else. Each member brings critical elements from their dynamic roles in the Swedish and European creative music scene and contributes them to the manifestation of a higher wave of sound unlike any other."

Oro Azul‘s debut offering, ‘Water Seeds,’ takes us through 4 shades of an aquatic garden. Dembow floats underneath the waves while woodblock melodies bubble up through the weeds. Sub bass shifts the tide. Some sounds are moss-like, a protective balm. Other tones come through as minerals and metals, shining in the refracted light from above.

A collaboration between Ultima Esuna and Michael Red, the music of Oro Azul took shape over the course of a year of purposeful and transformative studio sessions. This release follows the pair’s solo releases on DJ Python’s Worldwide Unlimited, Nervous Horizon, and Isla.

Keith Farrugia aka The Maltese Magician aka Sound Synthesis has been changing the face of the electro/techno community for many years now with his deep audioscapes. Taking you on a musical journey that’s deeper than Atlantis!


With previous releases on Ralph Lawson’s 20/20 Vision, Nocta Numerica, Gated Recordings, Planet 17 and Exalt to name but a few, Keith is a producer in high demand and we are grateful that he graced AmenTec with two incredible tunes that take the listener on a journey of musical imagination.


On the flipside, Amen Brother supplies the remixers for this release. Firstly, we have Cridge & Powder, two Bristol old school dons and royalty of the hardcore and jungle scene. Cridge is a member of the Bristol band Up, Bustle & Out and label boss of Tribe Recordings. Powder is part of the old skool hardcore group Fruit & Veg, who have been repressing their music on Vinyl Fanatiks recently. The guys turn in a rolling hardcore joint.


Next up on the remix are the Moving Shadow legends that are Tone Def, straight outta Bournemouth Town. The guys ease of the BPM a little and add an addictive vocal hook to their mix, showcasing the broad spectrum of the hardcore rave community. Rog from Tone Def is also the owner and creator of the Void soundsystems!

Here we are at the dawn of a new compilation series and we’re kicking things off with an absolute gem that features a selection of hard-to-find records (some impossible to find) and some that have been hiding in plain sight all along. They all share common qualities, being that they are beautiful, soul quenched songs that sing of love, peace and unity.

‘With Love: Volume 1’ has been compiled by Miche and presents a curated selection of rare Brazilian, gospel, modern soul and jazz-fusion fire. We have Brazilian rarities by Alcione and Quientaessencia, UFO gospel by Keith Chism & Light, the jazz-funk/AOR sounds of City Lites taken from a Radio Station album, and the anthemic feel-good emotional soul of Belita Woods to name but a few.

Tracking down artists and musicians from the past is an art form. Like a seagull swooping for treats, sometimes the prizes are easily found, and at other times, it’s the result of very late nights trolling through Facebook profiles, message boards, hitting dead ends and following red herrings, and yet still the search goes on. This compilation is a true labour of love with all the artists tracked down and licensed by Miche. It has long been an ambition of the London based musical connoisseur to compile an album, and like anything that requires craft, care, and knowledge - it takes time. There are many twists and turns in the hunt for those records that make your jaw drop.

In 2018, when just 24, Miche became a music programmer for London’s illustrious Spiritland group of venues. From this musical sanctuary, he was able to listen, learn and meet some of the best selectors from around the world. It was a musical education, and he was particularly drawn to the deep sessions by DJs such as Mark Taylor, George Arthur, Kev Beadle, Patrick Forge, Dr. Bob Jones, and Colin Curtis to name a few. He also used this time to begin running his re-issue label Discs of Fun and Love with co-owner and friend Frederika.

Sometimes the cynical knock compilations, there is certain snobbery amongst some about the original pressing, but music shouldn't just be about lucky collectors giving over large sums of money to record dealers. It's also about a bridge to the past, a celebration of the legacy of somebody’s art, and a second chance for initially overlooked work to shine. As with all the best compilations, it has been compiled with love…

Barabajagal is the seventh studio album, eighth album overall and most fascinatingly the third of our re-issue programme from British singer-songwriter extraordinaire Donovan. It was released in 1969 and again features production duties by Mickie Most.

“Golden Flower – Live In Sweden” is the first official release of two concerts from Swedish television and radio archives of legendary saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Yusef Lateef recorded live in Sweden on September 13, 1967 with pianist Lars Sjösten, bassist Palle Danielson and drummer Albert "Tootie" Heath, and on August 1, 1972 at the Åhus Jazz Festival with pianist Kenny Barron, bassist Bob Cunningham and Albert "Tootie" Heath once again on drums. This is the second official release from Elemental Music in cooperation with the Yusef Lateef Estate, following 2024's Atlantis Lullaby: The Concert from Avignon. In Sweden was transferred from the original tapes and restored and mastered by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab. The limited-edition 180-gram 2-LP edition includes an extensive insert with rare photographs, newly-commissioned liner notes and interviews and testimonials from Kenny Barron and other musicians who were inspired by and knew and played with Lateef.

Recorded at the legendary Atlantis Studio in Stockholm, Words Were Coming Out Our Ears captures a unique musical encounter in the moment. Pianist Johan Graden, bassists Vilhelm Bromander and Pär Ola Landin, and drummer Nils Agnas entered the studio without a fixed plan – the music emerged organically through improvisation and attentive interplay.

What sets this album apart is the instrumentation. With two double bass players, the music gains an unusual depth and weight, where the bass not only supports the harmony but also takes on melodic and textural roles. This is no traditional piano trio – rather, it's an ensemble where roles shift constantly, and the sonic landscape is shaped by sensitivity and openness.

One track features additional layers of sound with guest musicians Katarina Agnas on contrabassoon and Emil Strandberg on trumpet.

Grimm Grimm's new release, Untitled II (2025), is a distinctive sound collage/mixtape that blends grainy cassette recordings with demo tracks from a 4-channel recorder. The original release, limited to only 30 copies, included a cassette tape, a pillow cover, and a bundle of sleeping pills. Sold exclusively at the London record shop Atlantis Records, it sold out instantly and has become a rare, sought-after collector's item. The album features guest contributions from contemporary artist Naima Karlsson and Colorado-based singer-songwriter Josephine Foster.

"Heritage is the tenth studio album by Swedish progressive metal band Opeth. The album was recorded in early 2011 at Atlantis Studios in Stockholm and produced by Mikael Åkerfeldt, engineered by Janne Hansson, and mixed by Steven Wilson (the first album since 2003's Damnation on which he worked with the band, although not as producer). It takes on more of a progressive rock sound, something the band had wanted to do for some time, resulting in a stark contrast to the progressive death metal sounds of their past albums.

For Talia Hoit from Colorado, who has been classically trained to play the piano since the age of five, her early musical education has definitely paid off. Now she writes original songs, performs on vocals and keyboards, and composes orchestra scores for symphonic metal. For many years, she has also had a passion for writing songs outside of any formal band situation, and is now working with talented producers and musicians to bring her most personal and intimate songs to life to share with the world. For five years, Talia was the keyboardist and a songwriter for the band AnaDies. Presently she is the lead singer, orchestrator and co-songwriter in the symphonic metal band Beyond Forgiveness and the keyboardist for the metal band Ob Nixilis. As a solo artist, she recorded two original home studio albums for personal purposes, Fate’s Too Small (2007) and A Little Longer (2012), which had a limited physical CD release only, mostly just for friends and family. Back in 2019, she recorded the single Angel (produced by Jarek Musil), which just recently received a new master, and after the experience of working with a professional producer she decided to pursue her solo project, to professionally produce and commercially release as many of the personal songs she had written over the years as possible. In 2023, she released two more singles: Abandon and Whispers in the Storm. Her extensive experience in the music industry and understanding of classical music are quite audibly reflected in these works, which show a high level of quality and expertise. Talia’s music is definitely a treat for symphonic metal fans and heavy music lovers, showing influences of bands such as Within Temptation, Nightwish, Evanescence, and Visions Of Atlantis.

Ascending in Synergy ist der Nachfolger des hochgelobten Erstwerks Until Dawn (2018), das auf die 2015 erschienene EP Spellbound folgte. "People… are you ready?, 'cause the music now is getting so heavy"… Back Jack out of St. Louis, Missouri in 1974 launch our trip with "Bridge Waters Dynamite". It's an invocation to rock flashing on Mark Farner whooping up a Grand Funk crowd, then getting to the point quickly with berserk guitar assaults. Heavy riff with power chord stalks beneath as you take their advice… get loose and blow up the past. Smokin' Buku Band dropped my jaw with the audacious track "Hot Love" coming on like some fractured fever dream burlesque of Led Zep moves out of Hollywood in 1980. Swooping elongated vocals above, a total Zep chord move at the end of each verse. Writer/producer Steve Shauger aka Shag Stevens gets a brilliantly messed up sound quality here, the ideal polar opposite of slick. The extended guitar break is an epitome of serendipitously crude virtuosity, simply outrageous! Coming at you from way outta left field is "Moby Shark" by Atlantis, a hilarious and strange Baltimore pre-punk vibed dose of D.I.Y. meets hard rock. Lon Talbot is the mastermind, the flip side of this impossibly rare Mekon Records label single was featured in an obscure 1978 B-movie titled "The Alien Factor". Follow the lyrics closely, when the ominous jaws jaws jaws start coming after you you you… the song's big hook is so preposterously catchy the shark attack feels like good news. Inquiring minds should know that the band formerly known as Atlantis can now be found by searching for the Lon Talbot Group! Tommy Stuart and the Rubberband's "Peeking Through Your Window" from 1970 opens with a spooky organ riff, slips into a gushy fuzz/organ groove akin to "Mustache In Your Face” by Pretty. The singer creates downright creepy vibes, a stalker peeking through the girl's mind like a peeping Tom at the window up to no good. The lyrics evoke a disturbing scenario. Tommy Stuart also made a strange LP titled Hound Dog Man in 1977 and some terrific rare garage singles under the names Magnificent Seven and The Omen & Their Love in the mid '60s. Nothing better than an angry two chord guitar attack with cowbell to set the stage for this rant about getting "Ripped Off" by love. Taken from their rare 1977 LP on Dynamite Records, Chicago Triangle was Marvey Esparza, Dave Guereca, Jose 'Tarr' Perez and Robert Aguilera. They unleash such strong brain-scrubbing wah wah frenzy in the guitar break here that it seems to perversely mock it's own intensity! Like I said, Brown Acid the 18th Trip comes at you from all kinds of uncanny angles. Damnation of Adam Blessing out of Cleveland, Ohio unleashed a stone killer psychedelic hard rock classic "Cookbook" in the late '60s, this track "Nightmare" from 1973 has them cooking again at full power. A different singer, name change to Damnation and then Glory, unleashing a deadly dose of dark progressive heavy rock drama peaking when spooky 'oooo-wa-oooo' background vocals emerge during a bizarre spoken bit. It unfolds like a mini-epic and includes some remarkably brutal guitar and turbulent organ, too. "Swing your sword, all aboard… bid farewell to the dreamer" Dalquist exclaims. Cynical view of human nature, idealism is over, war is coming, it always does. Opens with a cold menacing riff and atmosphere reminiscent of "Synthezoid Heartbreak" by Maya. Mournful despondent vocals ride an insistent churning groove, gnarly guitar break moves into free noise territory. This rare track is from a local various artists benefit album titled Kangaroo Jam issued for the Waco Family Abuse Center in Texas circa 1980. The Pawnbrokers "Realize" is prime proto heavy rock emerging out of psychedelic garage roots in 1968 Fargo, North Dakota. Unusual arrangement, terrific sustain guitar tones like on the first Blue Cheer LP, even a rip on Hendrix "Manic Depression" with unison voice and guitar ascent near the end. They made three 45s and were active from '65 to '69. Hats off to Blake English, Kent Richey, Paul Rogne and Steve Harrison, you nailed it in just a hair over two minutes! As pure and creative as the original psychedelic garage hard rock gets. Parchment Farm from Union, Missouri gigged with the likes of ZZ Top and Foghat back in the day and unleashed the amazing "Songs Of The Dead" in 1971. Primitive riff/chord pattern dosed with some funky prog moves, sky turning black, 'is this heaven or hell' type disoriented confusion… may as well grab your guitar and sing songs to the dead. Robert 'Ace' Williams on bass, Paul Cockrum on guitar, Gary Reed on keys and Micky Waterman on drums, replacing Mike Dulany (R.I.P.) Cool that they use the Blue Cheer misspelling from Vincebus Eruptum for the band name! Ominous organ, thick minimalist fuzz riff, funky psychedelic wah wah flashes and freaky sex combine in one twisted dance titled "Rockin' Chair" by Brothers Of The Ghetto. Out of Chicago in 1975 with some Santana atmospherics and a delicious fuzz wah screamin' guitar break, the groove is highlighted by an off the wall vocal which sounds eerily detached in a subtly sleazy way. Rene Maxwell is the writer of this hard-rock boogie-down hybrid straight out of the twilight zone. It was issued on Ghetto, a subsidiary of the peculiar Kiderian label that released the Creme Soda LP. Now that your head is totally skewered, go Back Jack and play side one again!
