Stitched together from organic percussion, field recordings, and textures gathered from across the globe, Vikmatic’s most recent TSoNYC EP, co-produced with label head Danilo Braca, plays like a love letter to New York City, penned in the language of friends and family scattered across its boroughs. Rooted primarily in house, jazz, and Balearic sounds, but pulling just as freely from the sounds of Brazil, Africa, and India, Neighbors moves to the rhythm of a city swept up in the collective pulse of its most lively season.

Playful and minimalistic, “W4 Street” is a jazzy house track that adds a scintillatingly smooth, beachy flair to a nostalgic New York energy for a combination that leaves us unsure of what is improvised and what has been rehearsed to absolute mastery.

The EP’s second track, “Flushing”, represents a dramatic departure from the airiness of the previous one. Haunting and mysterious, with a leaden kick and a capricious synth, there is no question that we are finding ourselves in an entirely different neighborhood.

Early in the track, “Sunset Park” transforms from a deep rumbling into a catchy warm-weather groove with satiny synth layers, textured rhythm, and unhurried guitar and synth solos, evoking a sense of pure ease and beach season contentment.

Sultry and dream-like, “Harlem River Drive” is the ideal send-off for Neighbors, an album firmly situated in the living memory of an iconic urban summer. Warm and bittersweet, with woodwinds comprising the heart of its instrumentation, it’s not hard to picture a sunset in Upper Manhattan.

Nearly a decade after the acclaimed 2017 release of Hometown, Victor, the mind behind Module One is back with his highly anticipated follow-up album, dropping early November.
Now settled in Berlin, Victor's sound deeply reflects his integration into the city's vibrant cultural cosmos. Moving beyond earlier blueprints, his music has matured into a nuanced, fully developed aesthetic based on the personal reflections, artistic environment of the city, and live performances played and heard. KR3.022 DEATH/REBIRTH ONE - marks the launch of a new KR3 series built around split EPs, featuring original productions alongside reinterpretations or collaborative works by the selected artists. The first ACT reunites JK FLESH & ORPHX, reviving a collaboration rooted in a long-standing artistic connection. Having shared stages on several occasions, the project draws particular inspiration from their six-handed live performance at Berlin Atonal in 2016. Justin K. Broadrick, under his JK Flesh moniker, and Rich Oddie / Christina Sealey of Orphx, each contribute one exclusive original track, alongside a remix of the other's composition, exploring a very dark form of electronics; a collision of slo-mo, raw industrial power and crushing techno, standing in deliberate opposition to the relentless pace and overstimulation of the modern era, both sonically and culturally. The series will feature a unified visual identity, with each release sharing the same layout while being distinguished by different background colours and volcanic imagery created by longtime KR3 collaborator Federico Gagraglione.

There are collaborations that make sense on paper, and then there are the ones that feel like they were always going to happen. CHRIS STASSY and Interplanetary Criminal now bring their first recorded meeting to Up The Stuss with ‘Dangerous’, a four-track EP that sees two artists with unmistakable identities find common ground somewhere between house, garage, breaks and pure dancefloor energy. With the sounds of this collaboration having quietly made their way into the world long before the full picture was revealed, its arrival feels like the moment the pieces finally fall into place.

Across the EP, the chemistry is immediate. STASSY’s knack for infectious grooves and vivid synth work meets IPC’s breakbeat-driven energy and distinctly UK-rooted sensibility, with neither side disappearing into the other. ‘I Just Can’t Get’ sets things in motion with skippy rhythms, breakbeat drums and those unmistakable STASSY synths, before ‘Movin’’ accelerates the pace with punchy percussion and a more restless, breaks-heavy charge. ‘From The South Coast Mate’ pushes the meeting point further, bringing weighty low-ends and unmistakable UK touches while keeping both artists’ distinct approaches clearly in view. Title track, ‘Dangerous’, brings the journey to its natural conclusion. Bright and dark elements pull against one another as the two approaches lock into a shared rhythm, delivering a track that feels simultaneously euphoric, gritty and slightly unpredictable. It’s the clearest expression yet of what makes the collaboration work: two established sounds remaining entirely themselves while discovering what happens when those worlds meet.

For CHRIS STASSY, ‘Dangerous’ marks the first EP to arrive on Up The Stuss under his new name, following the release of the euphoric ‘U know me’ on CCS, adding to this new chapter with a collaboration of serious weight. For Interplanetary Criminal, it adds another dimension to the Manchester artist’s ever-expanding take on UK garage, which has seen him become one of the defining forces of its current resurgence. It’s the sound of two worlds meeting at exactly the right point - and one that many have been waiting for.

The act of explaining, reframing, or otherwise showing your own understanding of something. This captured me. We can all look at the same thing but what we see, hear or experience may differ. This word ended up being the title of my new album. I want to share my interpretation of music with listeners and take them on a musical journey. Through my music, I hope to bring about many interpretations. Your interpretation.

With great joy and pride we announce that The Night Service Commute second album Interpretation is a fact. The release is set for November 13th. You can expect cinematic vibes driven by breakbeats, bass, rhodes, violin, poetry, trumpet and field recordings. This turned out fantastic, and gave the album the groove, feel and vibe I was looking for. During the making, It was so great to learn how to capture the sound and get it to sit well in the mix.

The cover was made by my dear friend Saša Ostoja. His illustrations resonate greatly with me and put a smile on my face. The setting of the cover artwork is urban with hints of forest. Behind the windows, you can see the characters playing music and doing studio stuff. It has loads of hidden jokes and details. I can look at it again and again and discover new things every time.

Tekamolo is the anonymous project of a renowned musician who chose to hide their identity and leave the listener alone with the music. Their debut, best tunes for your answering machine, was an album of absolute solitude: minimalist electronic songs that felt like messages from an unknown caller, perhaps destined never to be heard. On Friends to Keep Silence With, solitude gives way to dialogue for the first time.

The album was made in close collaboration with drummer and composer Elizabad Volkova, a current member of Mirage, one of Russia's best-known pop groups, and the electroacoustic project INDEX III, which has collaborated with acclaimed contemporary composer Vladimir Martynov and violinist Tatiana Grindenko, a key figure in Russia's experimental classical scene. Before making the record, Volkova and Tekamolo barely knew each other. They'd only crossed paths on Instagram, and Tekamolo had never even seen her play live, only on video. They met in Berlin, where Tekamolo lives, and decided to try making something together, with no stylistic framework, no references, and no idea of what the result should be. To their own surprise, it worked almost immediately. Despite barely knowing each other, they found a shared musical language that felt completely natural. Those first sessions became the starting point for an album Tekamolo would continue working on over the following year.

The new album expands Tekamolo's retro-futurist world of altered voices, fragments of memory and free-form electronics into something more spacious and physical. Rhythm becomes a voice of its own: Volkova's live drums do not simply accompany the music, but enter into a constant dialogue with it. The result exists somewhere between groove and ambient, movement and stillness, melancholy and warmth.

Jotel’s new EP on Warning calls upon long-time family and scene staples for a masterclass in stripped-back, high-impact dancefloor mesmerism. Shifting between rough-edged modular electronics and deep, organic aesthetics, the EP transforms the finest raw machine funk and 2000s-era progressive into mind-bending club anthems.

Opening the A side ‘Udo Suppi’ sets the tone with a rolling, space-infused groove. Driven by a buzzing, high-voltage bassline and fluid synth work it’s nodding to that golden crossover era where progressive house, early trance, and dark, driving techno collided. Followed by non other than the legend S.O.N.S, for many years a regular fixture behind the Warning decks, takes the track into his own sonic vortex, re-imagining the original with his signature deep-psy precision and intricate percussive drive.

On the flip, ‘Absolvere’ pushes deeper into trippy territory. A long-form, evolving journey built on rolling stabs, fluid arrangements, and an electric undercurrent. A track designed for special hours, late-night car rides, and fog-filled rooms. Closing out proceedings, Düsseldorf’s Trancesetter of Westphalia return to the label to rework ‘Absolvere’, injecting their trademark tribal energy and acid-laced, peak-time madness into the fold.

More than just a genre exercise, whether you call it Retro Goa for the club, Dark Progressive, or simply pristine, full-flavored dance music. WAR1211 is a celebration of long-standing friendships, raw hardware exploration, and strictly unlimited dancefloor fuel.

The Cadets sind eine Indie-Rock-Band aus Gainesville, Florida, die Mitte der 1990er Jahre entstand und Einflüsse aus Surf Rock, Indie-Rock und College-Rock miteinander verbindet. Hailing from Buffalo New York, Mercury Rev are one of the US’s most well-respected bands, always experimenting and continually reinventing. The Guardian called them “a rarity in indie rock: a band who have continually evolved their sound, pushing at the boundaries of what rock music actually means…borrowing from jazz, funk, doo-wop, techno, folk and more along the way.”


Boces is such an important record in their discography, a grand and epic part of their story. The songs on the album came from the whole band. Everyone contributed and the recording process really allowed everyone’s freak flags to fly – partly thanks to their first ever major label recording budget. The opening 10-minute epic track “Meth of a Rockette’s Kick” really let’s you know that this album will be like nothing you have ever heard before.

Beim Anhören der endgültigen Fassung dachte Ligon an ,Quiet Storm", das Radioformat der 1970er Jahre, das für seine sanfte Late-Night-Programmgestaltung mit Themen rund um Leben und Liebe bekannt war. ,Quiet Storm" führt den Hörer durch verschiedene Szenen, Zwischenspiele und Handlungsbögen, geprägt von dem Gefühl, dass seine Bewegung fließend und seine Figuren flüchtig sind. Monologe vor dem Spiegel setzen sich mit dem Existentiellen und dem Unmittelbaren auseinander: Überleben, Autonomie, Sinn. Das Album beginnt mit dem explosiven, von Streichern begleiteten ,Vanity", bei dem die Grammy-Preisträgerin Axelle Fanyo zu hören ist. Zunächst auf die Spalten eines stillen Raumes fixiert, entfaltet sich ,Vanity" unter Fanyos ausdrucksstarkem Sopran und durchläuft ein breites emotionales Spektrum von erhabener Kontemplation bis hin zu ergreifendem, herzzerreißendem Schmerz. Auf dem gesamten Album werden gesprochene und gesungene Worte sparsam eingesetzt, um eine kraftvolle Wirkung zu erzielen. Die Schönheit und Katharsis von ,MLN" ist ein kollektiver, langsamer Marsch, bei dem der britisch-nigerianische Künstler Tony Njoku mitwirkt, begleitet von Gabriel Evans an Gitarre und Lead-Bass, PIKE aus London am Schlagzeug und GB aus Kopenhagen an Keyboards und Streichern. Der letzte Satz verleiht ,Quiet Storm" seinen krönenden Höhepunkt. ,If This Is Hell" ist in einem einzigen Take als Bewusstseinsstrom des New Yorkers Deuén aufgenommen, dessen nachvollziehbare Spirale geistiger Aktivität von jazzigen, frenetischen Percussion-Klängen begleitet wird. Das Druckventil öffnet sich, als die phasenverschobenen Drums und die scharf beobachtenden, dialogartigen Phrasen abrupt nach der Zeile ,I wonder if that's what heaven's like?" abbrechen. Wir bleiben in der Behaglichkeit des Album-Closers ,Regards" zurück. Regentropfen treffen auf Orgel, Drone, Streicher und Keyboards, während das Nachladen von Waffen dem ruhigen Summen gegenübergestellt wird. Schwer und doch hoffnungsvoll erinnern Joshua Tarelle Reid und Joshua Inyang an ihre bisherige Reise. Als passend geheimnisvolles und mitreißendes Outro für ihr offenes Opus ist ,Quiet Storm" ein Meilenstein: selbst produziert, selbst finanziert und aus purer Tatkraft und Überzeugung entstanden. Maryos Syawish (b. 1993, Iraq) is a Chaldean Iraqi artist and musician based in Naarm/Melbourne working fluidly across visual art, sound and curatorial practice. His creative work spans more than 15 years and is defined by a lawless, unorthodox approach that resists traditional genre boundaries.
His Research Records debut is an introspective and meandering exploration of place, legacy and personal history. It’s a marked change of pace for the Melbourne-based producer, who has carved his name into the Australian underground as one half of Sleep D and Butter Sessions Records, but his first full length under his own name feels like an extension rather than a departure from what those attuned to his productions will already know.

Qurmami – which translates to “my roots” – functions as an audio collage that bridges the artist’s dual experiences of growing up in Australia and his heritage as a Chaldean Assyrian. Developed over the course of eight years, the record is anchored by field recordings captured during a pivotal trip to Iraq which are sewn into lush ambient electronics over two sides.

Over 42 minutes the production swells and grows; a delicate and mind-transporting beginning gives way to a more rhythmic, body-moving tail end, drawing subtle influences from dub, ambient, and traditional music from the Northern Iraq region along the way. Syawish’s contemporary, friend and fellow Research artist Khaled Kurbeh features, as does Melbourne-based cellist Abby Sundborn, while Sarah Ujmaia – Maryos’ cousin – contributed the album art and a familial through line that rounds out a cohesive, evocative exploration of identity, memory and the spaces that shape who we are.

Peach Discs sends their last record of 2026 to the pressing plant in the form of G-Zip's wigg(l)ed-out, tech'd-up, but very much tuned-in "The Mystic Dog" EP.

A new house-focused alias from Stephen Howe – who you may remember from his excellent "Mimesis" EP for Joe Delon's Welt Discos, or his abso-fucking-lutely everywhere remix of Oklou – the G-Zip sound sits in the centre of the Venn diagram between London's tech-house pump and the blissed/blessed relief of deep house.

Hats from early grime instrumentals, interviews in club smoking areas, compilation skit tracks, video essays and jazz interludes – "The Mystic Dog" EP is built from a library of samples that extend far beyond house, tracing a deeply personal line through Stephen's influences and inspirations both past and present. Meticulously sequenced synth lines sit atop tightly woven Digitakt grooves, all mangled together through FX boxes and the Mackie desk that sits at the heart of his Berlin studio.

The EP sets out its stall with "Juiced (Monomania Mix)." Written after Stephen's first visit to Open Ground and inspired by a standout set from Fumiya Tanaka, it pairs stomping, techy drums and phat bass with a restless collage of mono synth patches that donk, squiggle and gurgle throughout.

"Missing Track" leans into contrast as a staccato bassline rubs up against the tighter than tight percussion, before skyscraping synths enter the picture to respond to the rhythm section's call. Flipping the record puts us back into banger territory with "Talking About Drums", as the tuned percussion and heavier-than-heavy subs nail the track to the dancefloor. Closer "Mystic Dog" showcases Stephen's knack for idiosyncratic melody, as a wonky modular sequence twists and turns across the track while smack-in-the-face drums offer a bashy counterpoint. A classic B2 track if ever there was one, and wicked way to round off the EP.

(Oh, and there's a cheeky alternative mix of "Juiced" as a digi bonus for the hip-house heads).

Black Sheep is the influential hip‑hop duo from Queens, New York, formed by Andres “Dres” Vargas Titus and William “Mista Lawnge” McLean. Although both members hail from New York, they met as teenagers in Sanford, North Carolina, where their families had relocated. The duo became part of the celebrated Native Tongues Collective, alongside Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest, and De La Soul, a movement known for its creativity, positivity, and forward‑thinking approach to hip‑hop. After joining forces in 1989, Black Sheep made an immediate impact with their 1991 acclaimed debut album A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing. The record earned widespread recognition for its inventive rhythms and sharp, witty, often humorous lyricism.

Their second album Non‑Fiction arrived in 1994, continuing their signature blend of jazzy hip-hop and clever, tongue‑in‑cheek storytelling. The album featured two singles “Without a Doubt” and “North South East West”.

Following its release, the group remained largely inactive throughout the decade, with the exception of Dres, who recorded a solo project under the moniker Dres The Black Sheep. Black Sheep eventually returned in 2006 with their long‑awaited third album 8WM / Novakane. Shortly thereafter, Mista Lawnge departed, while Dres has continued to release music under the Black Sheep name.

GWAR and the Last Drive-In-Stein is the creation of two shock/horror icons: the Scumdogs of the Universe celebrating their 40th year as a band and Joe Bob Briggs celebrating 40 years on TV as a film critic, commentator and entertainer. Side A is GWAR’s epic live performance from Joe Bob’s show The Last Drive In 2025 Halloween special. It features several of their own songs along with covers of some of the most beloved songs from the show. Side B is John Brennan and the Bigfeet (The Last Drive In’s house band) performing songs written for the final 2 seasons of the show. It also happens to be the first ever live recording from them.

Originally created in 1987 as an image album for a luxury Sanyo air-conditioner, Get at the Wave stands as one of the most surprising and enduring works of Japanese ambient music. Recorded using synthesizers and natural field recordings, the album was designed to transport listeners far from the heat and noise of urban life — into open water, gentle wind, and unhurried space. Takashi Kokubo's mastery as an acoustic environment designer is present in every texture, blending electronic composition with an almost physical sense of atmosphere and place. Intimate, expansive, and quietly radical, Get at the Wave is an essential document of kankyō ongaku - and one that sounds more necessary than ever. The remaster and artwork of this vinyl edition were made by the artist. Takashi Kokubo (born 1956) is one of Japan's most influential ambient composers and acoustic environment designers. A pioneer of kankyō ongaku since the mid-1980s, his sound design work has reached virtually every corner of Japanese daily life - from the national mobile phone earthquake alert to the sign tone for iD e-money and the melody call tone for NTT DoCoMo. In 2020, he was included in the Grammy-nominated compilation Kankyo Ongaku (Best Historical Album), cementing his place as a foundational figure in environmental music worldwide.

The first of these is the album’s focus track, THE DAYZ, featuring the spoken words of Jude Moore who hits the proverbial nail on the head with his nostalgic look back at life growing up in the UK around the turn of the millennium. It’s no surprise that he has a massive 670k TikTok followers as his words speak profoundly to an entire generation. With talk of house parties and care-free fun layered over space-disco synths, THE DAYZ exudes a nostalgic vibe before skilfully blending it with punchy drums and a chunky bassline bringing it straight to the here and now. After a brief hiatus and creative refresh, Radiant Records returns with a bang, courtesy of Belfast house aficionado Cromby. A producer who needs little introduction, Cromby delivers the label’s ninth release, showcasing exactly what he does best: colourful, groove-heavy house music built for the dancefloor.
Ignition kicks things off with winks and nods to post-Y2K UK breaks and electro house. The title track’s boshy bassline and driving drums provide the backbone for an irresistibly stomping peak-time cut with summer written all over it.

Pumping the tempo up, A2 Psy Op is a rapturous floor-filler that draws from dance music’s most playful corners without ever sounding pastiche or revisionist. NOTON is pleased to announce12 Conversations, a collaborative album by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Alva Noto to be released on 18 September 2026.

The partnership between the legendary musician and composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and the German artist Carsten Nicolai (aka Alva Noto) has produced some of the most distinctive and enduring works in contemporary electroacoustic music. Beginning with Vrioon in 2002, the artists spent more than two decades fusing and expanding their disciplines, with Sakamoto's evocative, sustain-drenched piano compositions finding their counterpart in Nicolai's skilful and sensitive electronic detailing.
Each successive project further deepened their artistic dialogue: from the five studio albums of the V.I.R.U.S. series (Vrioon, Insen, Revep, Utp_ with Ensemble Modern, and Summvs), to their score for Alejandro G. Iñárritu's The Revenant; Glass (2017), a wholly improvised performance inside Philip Johnson's iconic Connecticut landmark, in which the pair fixed contact microphones to the glass walls, playing the architecture itself as an instrument; and Two (2019), a document of their live performance at the Sydney Opera House.

Across these works, their distinct approaches achieved a rare synthesis, a brilliantly sustained dialogue between piano and electronics, Sakamoto's warmth and melodic finesse meeting Nicolai's abstract electronic formalism to invoke a mesmeric quietude as deeply satisfying in its melodic resolutions as in the merger of its filmic romanticism and meditative subtlety.
12 Conversations brings together musical exchanges recorded in November and December 2022. Rooted in the same creative period that gave rise to Sakamoto's final solo album 12, these recordings were not originally intended as a standalone release. It was only after the completion of 12 that Sakamoto and Nicolai decided to present these exchanges as a work in their own right.
The album reflects the vitality and curiosity that defined more than two decades of shared inspiration: fluid, exploratory, and forward-looking. Created with openness and trust, it captures a creative process in constant transformation - sounds expanding, altering, and evolving through attentive listening.

Conceived as the continuation of an artistic dialogue extending beyond the physical, 12 Conversations honours Sakamoto's wish that these encounters should exist beyond the archive, offering an enduring testament to one of contemporary music's most revered collaborations.


Carsten Nicolai writes:
"A heavy breath can be heard in the recordings. Yet this work is not about remembrance but continuation, vitality, curiosity, and the spirit of experimentation that shaped an artistic relationship over decades.
The twelve pieces we exchanged in November and December 2022 possess extraordinary density: sounds expanded, altered, recontextualized. Initially, every intervention felt almost inappropriate. Yet this was part of our openness and trust: adding, shifting and radically yet softly transforming.
Even in these final exchanges, plans for future projects continued to take shape, mindful of finite yet firmly believing in the power of new ideas. We chose the name Conversations, which has become a space of memory and vision, where past, present and future intertwine.
For a long time, releasing this music seemed impossible. The loss felt too sudden, and the emotional connection too profound. As time passed, it became clear that these twelve musical encounters should have life outside the archive. To honor Ryuichi's wish, these pieces are now being released as the continuation of a dialogue that extends beyond the physical."

fka boursin returns to Scissor & Thread with From Space Between, following his 2025 debut for the label, Listless Intertext. The Bristol producer continues to explore the more spacious edges of house music, drawing together dub, ambient detail and a loose rhythmic sensibility that has become increasingly characteristic of his work. From Space Between unfolds patiently with sounds appearing at the edges and gradually moving into focus. On the B-side Frank & Tony return with another Housebeat Dub, picking up the thread of their Listless Intertext rework. Francis Harris and Anthony Collins draw the original further into their own language of deep house, giving the rhythm more room and letting the dub elements stretch across the arrangement.
"A half-successful attempt at working with fewer elements in pursuit of a more minimalist approach," says Henry Murray aka fka boursin, "trying to find restraint and sit with gaps in the stereo image where previously I would have reflexively filled them with melodic content. Recorded whilst living alone in another country for a month, the track was borne out of meditations on living in and between unfamiliar places, seasons, languages, currencies, relationships, medications, economics, intentions, sanities, and spaces."

Rich Oddie of Orphx and Alex Pi of Pi Electronics introduce Anaxia, a new project arriving on Veyl with the 7-track LP “Maska”.
Built from raw electronics, stripped-down drum machines and a stark post-punk pulse, the record sits somewhere between industrial pressure and the ghostly minimalism of Suicide. It is direct but shadowed, physical but restrained, with vocals from Oddie and Pi cutting through the machinery rather than sitting on
top of it. Oddie’s background in Canada’s industrial underground and Pi’s long-running connection to the Greek electronic scene meet in a sound that feels tense, reduced and fully intentional. KAOSMOS and Florian Engerling add additional vocals, while remixes from In Trance 95 and Veyl regulars Years of Denial extend
the material into darker, more hypnotic territory. With “Maska”, Anaxia deliver a debut that feels fully formed: nocturnal, focused and stripped to its essentials. A natural fit for Veyl, the record draws a line between post-punk, industrial electronics and body music without overexplaining itself.
