Mamman Sani"s electronic organ music, first recorded in 1978, made him a national hero in Niger, led to him writing the Niger"s new national anthem, and has long been cherished by aficionados for its unique blend of traditional Nigerien melodies and synth experimentation. Mamman"s music embodies a sense of intimacy, echoing the presence of a solo artist in the room with the listener.

The link up between Mantra and Vivek goes back to 2013 when Mantra used to frequent his System nights at The Dome. Both share similar values in grafting hard, focusing on the music and not getting distracted by the noise surrounding the culture. This EP has been in the making for over 2 years and we’re proud to finally be releasing Mantra’s debut SYSTEM EP.

Kniteforce Insanity is for the most extreme and ridiculous music we could possibly find. This is tongue in cheek, non genre, sample heavy, intensely insane music. It is not for the faint of heart...or hearing or...well...anyone, really. This EP from Dj Luna-C is made up of idiotic dubplates and experiments in foolishness, and is totally unsuitable for a vinyl release.

Dan Ghenacia's influence on the European underground over the last 25-plus years cannot be overstated. He has run vital labels, hosted essential parties, laid down definitive DJ sets, and produced seminal sounds both solo and as part of the tastemaking Apollonia trio with friends Shonky and Dyed Soundorom. His understanding of house music across the ages and continents is second to none, and he brings all that experience to this fantastic new solo EP.

The bumpy and infectious 'Rouge Ou Noir' opens with looped and funky guitar riffs and neon synths winding their way through dusty, dynamic drums. Cooing vocal stabs ramp up the steaminess of this most tasteful party starter. The superb 'Chilly' has a bustling blend of louche rhythms and rugged synth arps that dart about the mix. They hurry along beneath swirling vocal sounds up top with hints of Metro Area magic and tripped-out colours, all making it a characterful groove. Last but not least, 'Chilly' gets dubbed out and becomes a more low-slung sound with a fleshy bassline popping up the choppy, playful and synth-infused rhythm.

Ranges welcomes Elias. with an exclusive reminiscent dub EP. The A-Side opens with the expansive soundscapes in “Aquatic”, followed by a beautifully designed 4/4 dub action in “Red Lantern”. The B-side puts emphasis on faster shades of dub. “Severe” delivers a reminiscent chord action accompanied by peak-time grooves. “FM Therapy” and “Fog” showcase a darker edge of dub with raw energy supported by cold yet evocative atmospheres. Dreamer G, originally released on Madhouse Records in the 1990s, has been reimagined by Demuir with a fresh new rework. The release also features a brand-new re-edit by Kerri Chandler himself, revitalizing this underground anthem. Matt Thibideau debuts on Kontakt with three innovative dub-infused tracks, pushing the boundaries of the genre to new heights. While Matt frequently collaborates with his brother Mark on different projects, this release is a solo project conceived from his own creative mind.

Azaad steps out with his own new label, Born 2 Be Free, for the first time here and says that the plan for it is to 'break out of the mold.' The man himself takes care of the first EP and shows the world what he is all about with a fine homage to early garage sounds but with a hint of London grit. 'Dubba Ding' is a nice chord-laced pumper with shuffling beats, 'Feel The Rhythm' is more raw and stripped back with loopy, chopped-up vocals and 'Get Da Runaround' brings warm pad swirls and some soulful vocals to a nice deep garage vibe. Three very useful tracks indeed and a great first EP from this new label.
