Follow-up 4 Track 12' to the first Volume that was released earlier this year.In line with the concept of these two EP's, the tracks were again taken from Juergen Junker's
Live-Set, recorded straight out of the machines.
rebuilt album is a lp from ethnik groove that includes 6 new remixes from some of the classic tunes (funky moment - gotta go - unexplicable life) produced by paul eg with two bonus tracks.
Second release in a series of four of this Ann Aimee compilation series, featuring a diverse selection of techno tracks.
Part two of the four-part Inertia sampler again serves up four heavy-hitting techno bangers from different artists of the new-school techno generation. Again, each of the tracks is previously unreleased.
First up is Frenchman Marcelus who offers a heavy house and techno fusion, before London's Sigha goes deep and ominous with 'Finding Myself.' Redshape and Area Forty_One close out the package with frozen, static coated sounds and textured techno respectively.
Reading like a who's who of the day's most pioneering techno producers, Inertia #2 is another connoisseur selection.
A very special vinyl that underlines the vision and the elasticity of the origin of this label. The EP is signed Commodity Place.
Commodity Place (Coclea Music LTD) was founded by two romans musicians , Massimiliano Loretucci and Riccardo Frosoni.

The EP's exorbitant success and it's makers constantly evolving sound brings their relationship into late summer 2011 as Cadenza announce their sixty seventh cut; the 'I Ching' solo EP from Felipe Venegas. The two track EP triggers with "I Ching" and its spell binding intro of thundering gong crashes and jangling bells, betraying an almost story like theme as sporadic tom's and intense brass melodies converse with one another intensely.
For their Summer Of Seven tracks Iso68 have, as usual, recorded many live instruments. We hear drums, guitar, keys, and brass, mixed into two tight tracks which unfold their addiction not at first glance. But after several plays the two pieces by Florian Zimmer (who also plays with the bands Saroos and Jersey) and Thomas Leboeg (member of Hamburgs Popband Kante) become essential beauties.
More sample based Detroit influenced deepness from label head Scott Ferguson. Two sexy & seductive mixes of 'Sweet To You' plus two more hauntingly beautiful head-nodders. Mr. Ferguson still has a sound of his own..SOLID
We welcome David Jach (Deich Records, Kol Mojito, Mangue Records) - DJ
and Promoter from Dresden, Germany on Cometomusic. After delivering a hot remix for Raumakustik´s 'Glaub Mir Doch' David presents a great melodic and charming Original with two massive remixes - a straight one by Minimal Lounge (Damm Records, Rennbahn, 040 Recordings) and a house remix by Timo Jahns (9Volt, Freundchen, Klang Gymnastik)
Played & supported by Butch, Sascha Braemer, Hanne & Lore,
NTFO, Andreas Henneberg, Marco Fender, Oscar, Alexi Delano,
Paco Osuna and many more.
The London resident Ross Evana already excelled as DJ at Pacha NYC, at Ministry of Sound London or in the We Love Space series in Ibiza, and has been ranked # 12 in the Beatport House charts with 'Ouija Board". His track 'Thrilla in Manila' first takes its time to build up before it sets a tremendously powerful exclamation mark on the dancefloor with its tropical-hypnotic percussions. With its second track, the ninth edition of Cocoon's 10-series leads us to the land of the midnight sun. The two Stockholm-born cousins Alex Caytas and Aleks Patz have started their musical collaboration only in 2007 but can already look back on a hand full of very good produced releases for the Stuttgart-based label Parquet Recordings and the Italian label Caremella, as well as on remixes for Martin Dawson/King Roc and Voltique. 'Blue Sea' shows the duo's affinity to the energetic Deep House Techno of the Nineties: with its organ sound, blues vocals and a highly infectous bass line, this track could almost pass as a modern and uncluttered version of St. Germain, being predestined for warm summer nights. This is how Techno sounds in 2011.

2024 Repress
Following the legendary first two, stoically super minimal records “SOG 1“ and “SOG 2“ that provide ecstasy disguised as boredom on Kompakt Extra/Speicher in 2007, and the outstanding beautifully bizarre “SOG - Abweichung“ on Profan in 2010, we are now listening to “FREMDE HÄNDE“. Like its predecessors, this SOG stands in the tradition of „The Art of Omission“ with Wolfgang Voigt variegating his preference for the bluntly straightforward quaver bass in two different forms. The A-side contains a tonally noncommittal sequence ambling across the keyboard in quantised form, reminiscing of the arpeggiator (accompaniment function) function of early 70ies' and 80ies' synthesizers. On the B-side, daring and thoroughly unquantised quaver rhythms rock around a bass drum that, as the only straight element, tries to keep the whole thing together. The result sounds a little like a delirious Can Live.

"PositiveNoise" is collaboration between System 7 and British house music legend A Guy Called Gerald who now lives in Berlin, and is one of two tracks on the new System 7 "UP" album that they worked on together. The original club mix's exuberant sounds and crisp beats exude an infectious feel-good quality and a bright tech confidence inspired by Berlin's leaner sounds - already gaining plaudits and plays for its modern club sound. *The Carl Craig remix strips down the original, and twists and turns for the dancefloor with dubby deep techno in Carl's own legendary style. A.Mochi's remix is a darker interpretation, with a long dropdown featuring shimmering S7 trademark sounds and a breakbeat build-up
Underwater techno. That could be "leaning over backwards" in just two words. Tobias Freund's debut album for Ostgut Ton also serves as the longplayer introduction for his tobias. moniker, gives a fascinating and profound insight into his special world of music and sound science. Being a part of the music business since 1980, you could easily fill books with his works and creations

Featured here are two productions by Hironori Takahashi of Japan, as well as an edit from label owner Nax_Acid. Inspired by the emotions he discovered at Japan's 'Metamorphose' open-air festival, Hironori wished to express feelings of contrasting unity - light and dark, human and nature - in his music.

Over the last two years, Ahmet Sisman has become one of the most interesting newcomers within the German Techno scene. His music is located at the junction between Turkish roots and western post-modernism, but still always succeeds in orchestrating the dark energy of the night, too. Consequently, his last EP "Hit Me Low" (Dumb Unit) could be found in the charts of Tiefschwarz and André Galluzzi, and the percussive masterpiece from '98 "Buiya" belonged to Sven Väth's most popular tracks of the Ninth Season last year.

With releases on Moon Harbour, Curl Curl, Railyard and his Poker Flat debut "The Whisper Had It" last year, Simon Flower is one of New Zealand's top exports. Hurray! PROFAN is back from the future to complicate things again. But let's have a look back in the past: in the mid-1990s, Wolfgang Voigt, under his innumerable aliases (M:I:5, Digital, Grungerman, Wasserman …), unsettled the minimal world and its straight grooves with his right-at-the-threshold-of-pain abstract techno. As a DJ, you sometimes even thought that the vinyl was scratched. "Distort the listening habits until they break up" has always been the leitmotiv of this exceptional artist from Cologne. In 2000 however, after having created another promising trademark: WASSERMANN - W.I.R. that - in spite of or because of its unconventional structure (abstract beat, German vocals) - ranked among the number one hits in any important club and DJ charts and which was even remixed by Sven Väth, Wolfgang Voigt decided to discontinue the label for a while. PROFAN produced two sublabels each devoted to the refinement of specific minimal variants: STUDIO 1 and FREILAND. FREILAND in particular was and still is one of Voigt's projects that manifests his artistic and deconstrucivist approach to the aesthetics of techno beats. FREILAND's concept is radical: the only reference to techno is the bass drum and a sound reduced to the utmost that is moving around it. No wonder that now, eight years after the last PROFAN release, Wolfgang Voigt is back under his alias FREILAND. With KLAVIERMUSIK (piano music), Voigt continues his way towards atonality and electronic art music. The straight bass drum still is the only pulsatile instrument and sometimes it is not even that. WOLFGANG VOIGT / FREILAND - KLAVIERMUSIK is radical, puristic, uncompromising, elegiac, difficult, defiant, true and absolutely necessary. The record, including artcover designed by Wolfgang Voigt is strictly limited.. Greed sucks.

Daptone bring you 'He Upset Your Dreams' from Hank "Soul Man" Mullen for their new reissue imprint, to share their love of some of their favourite rare and unreleased soulful tracks. The A side is an up-tempo groover concerning the saddest subject of all; not one, but two broken hearts. This is an effort from the Avengers on the Audel imprint out of Buffalo NY. The band formed in the mid-60s and toured a dynamic show with three very different vocalists: Hank Mullen, Moe Jones and Carlena Weaver; they released two singles in 1970 on their own label. In the 70s the group toured as backing band for Eddie Floyd, Arthur Conley, Betty Wright and Betty Swan. Sadly, soon after the records' release, Hank Mullen, then in his mid twenties, died tragically due to a heart attack.
