Side A opens with a major debut on A1, as Christopher Ledger unveils his new alter ego, The Nolan Protocol. This track serves as a masterclass in production, delivering a fluid, terrace-ready flow that is perfectly tailored for those golden sun-drenched moments on the dancefloor. Following this, A2 showcases the refined artistry of Colombian producer Donnie Cosmo, who brings his signature classy, swinging vibes to the record. Side B shifts into deeper territory, starting on B1 with minimal royalty Priku. FNS008 is a split EP from Tbilisi-based Generali Minerali and Marsascala-based Sound Synthesis.

Side A is all Generali Minerali - robotic breaks and rough textures with a direct, stripped-back approach.

Wilba rolls into Haŵs with 'Kombucha in the Club' - four chunky club cuts dipped in acid, prog and sleazy late-night pressure. Built with proper low-end heft and a wicked grin, this one doesn’t hang about.

A1 opener 'Wrong Turn' sets things in motion with pulsating proggy goodness, restless energy and the repeating call of “Destination” guiding the trip into the unknown. 'Polly’s Acid Kiss' follows with squelching 303 lines and a sci-fi-esque vocal, pushing deeper into tripped-out territory without losing its punch. On the flip, 'Sin City' leans fully into the sleaze - rolling tech house, smoky vocals, wailing sirens and enough attitude to carry the small hours. The EP rounds off with 'Rejigging the Jig', which wastes no time laying down the damage: fat drums, elastic basslines and enough swing to pull the room sideways.

Heavy grooves, crooked hooks and just the right amount of mischief. Kombucha never sounded so wrong.

Ayo lands on Kumquat with four cuts of distinct minimal flavor. Punchy kicks and crisp rhythms intertwine with intricately crafted squelches on Hint Please. Pressures Inside takes a lighter turn for early mornings, subtly balancing bouncy optimism with introspective vibes.

Bizness energy returns on the B side — Late Euphoria glides eerie vocal samples over razor-sharp snares that'll have dancers raising their arms in unison. The EP closes with a groovy chugger whose infectious bassline is certain to make sun-drenched dancefloors wiggle. Essential tunes from a rising Marseillais star whose sets consistently turn heads.

The London-based DJ and producer is a legend. We remember all his fantastic releases on various labels and his own label COVE. From his extensive body of work, Grant Dell has delved deep into his archives. I am incredibly proud to be able to present these brilliant four track ep on RHYTHM TRAX RECORDINGS.

‘Far Away’ is a warm, deep house track featuring spaced-out synth chords. Clap grooves and a catchy bassline on ‘Simple Effects’ get us ready for the dancefloor.

Tight percussion, rolling grooves with vocal samples like ‘say what’, ‘do you’ and more inspired combinations of sounds in ‘The Drive’ make for a deeper house, tech house track. ‘Midnight Groove’, a perfectly stylistically consistent track, will make this release unforgettable. (DJ TRACKDIGGER)

Jay Lumen is back on the label with his brand new pumpy and fat floor filler EP. His massive bassline section and 303 elements perfectly complement the pulsating rhythm of the "Bounce" track.
While "Metro" is a good proof of Jay's melodic bassy side. The roots of the track are the old school techno and hardgroove elements in his own recreation with some trippy melodies.
Last but not least, the "I have the beat" track is a power house masterpiece with the perfect balance of the groovy bassline and the dusty stab sections. Mind your Footwork! :)

Guy From Downstairs brings a deeply human touch to the machinery with the Brighter EP.
It opens with "No Fun," where a dry, stripped-back rhythm plays hard to get, anchored by an emotive, raw vocal that cuts straight through the tension—it is a smirk with actual soul behind it. Just as that mood settles, the title track cracks the window open, letting in an unpretentious, genuine warmth that completely changes the temperature of the room. iO (Mulen) returns to his home - Mulen Records after a quite long production pause because of the full-scale Russian invasion in Ukraine. Despite all the troubles that are going with the war in your home, half of this release (the B-side) was written after 24.02.2022.

Internationally acclaimed underground hit record that has been championed by who's who of the good dance music circle in the last 3 years since its first release. Lately it has been picked up and hammered by Jane Fitz. The only way was to give it a new life with fresh new remixes by DJ Sneak, Elia Nafzger, Basic 7 and new deeper subliminal version by Tripmastaz Enterprises.

Cartulis Music returns with CRTL018, a double-record release shaped by Manuel Siegrist. Dual Consciousness brings together two distinct voices operating at different ends of the same corridor: Innuendo and Cults Of Baghdad.

The release is composed of two separate records, a 12” by Innuendo and a 10” by Cults Of Baghdad, each exploring its own sonic language through different alter egos.

The Innuendo 12” delivers four cuts moving between rolling club pressure and dreamlike psychedelia. “XTC” sets the tone with hypnotic sequences, rolling basslines and machine-driven propulsion, while “Whales” explores a more emotional and trance- inducing territory, connecting proto-techno textures with immersive late-night atmospheres. At the same time, tracks like “Alarme” and “Spock’s Fantasy” introduce a looser and more house-oriented feeling, balancing tension with playful melodies and psychedelic movement.

The Cults Of Baghdad 10” dives into a world of shadowy synth work, carrying a strong 80s flavour infused with punk attitude and new wave aesthetics. “Spiral Of The Mind”, written, produced and voiced by the man himself, unfolds through immersive rhythms and melancholic atmospheres with a distinctly cinematic touch. Closing track “Geister der Vergangenheit” continues this descent into haunted territory, channeling ghostly melodies and cold-wave energy suspended somewhere between memory and prophecy.

Recorded using a combination of classic hardware machines and improvised studio processes, Dual Consciousness reflects a shared fascination with frequencies as ritual, repetition as hypnosis and dance music as psychological storytelling.

CRTL018 continues Cartulis Music’s ongoing exploration of underground electronic music, records aimed as much at solitary listening as they are at the dance floor.

Butter Side Up’s 15th release comes from a familiar face. DANCE PROTOCOL (FKA Midge Thompson), responsible for the label’s second release some 7 years ago, returns to the label with The Shop Floor EP, another chapter in a relationship that stretches back to the party’s earliest years.

A self professed audio nerd, Midge has been operating quietly but consistently for well over a decade in Leeds and more recently London, honing an intentional studio-craft which draws inspiration from quite literally anything he can get his hands on, from 12-bit samplers and vintage synths to YouTube interviews and iPhone field recordings.

If his productions have earned their place through character and an unmistakable sense of groove, The Shop Floor EP is a culmination, presenting perhaps his strongest work to date.

Across four tracks, subtle textures and repeated vocal samples are stretched and twisted over broken beat rhythms and heavy sub-bass. A fine balance of UK-rave tropes and European minimal sensibilities that glide patiently, building and dissipating tension. From the driving, acid-tinged The Shop Floor to the bouncy, breaksy Riding Up Front and deeper Perry Lane, there’s a breadth of moods across the EP, which peaks with the celestial The Back Bench, surely one of the BSU’s most sunrise coded tunes, an softly inviting ‘Give Me Some More’ vocal refrain accompanied with woozy chords, pads and a chunky slap baseline.

Mike Parker, one of the most respected and innovative artists in techno, presents his debut release Cyclic Intonations on Sonic Groove with a monster three cut collection of TB-303 infused songs.

Discosabotage Records is an evolution of the collective founded by Luval in Amsterdam in April 2024. Having recently relocated, he felt the need to create something that truly reflected his own vision and the music he loves. What started with selecting records gradually evolved into selecting demos, driven by an increasing desire to shape a distinctive identity and sound.

DSB001 is the label’s first various artists release, featuring Luval, Massi, Two Opposites, and Paradise City Breakers. Each artist brings a unique perspective while remaining connected to the vision behind Discosabotage. The release moves through different shades of electronic music, from deep and hypnotic grooves to darker, more introspective territories, always maintaining a strong sense of definition and purpose. Det Gode Selskab continue their quest as they call on Berlin-based Italian artist Busso. Diving straight in with ‘Sexual Desire’, Busso delivers perky and playful peak-time action, with a clean-cut, feel-good energy from the word go. A vintage feel emerges through the vocals and crisp drums, working in sweet harmony. Slick hi-hats lead the way in ‘Don’t Be Afraid’ before you are confronted with a killer elasticated groove synonymous with the Italian’s sound. Beautiful chords appear at the midway point, spiralling into paradise.
The B-side kicks off with the title track, constructed in a distinct chunky manner. Squelchy mechanical tones manoeuvre around the mysterious drive of the track. Moody as it moves, it’s one for the darker nights on the road. Last but not least is ‘Red Print’, tightly packaged and incredibly detailed, with quirky obscurities flashing throughout. A steady motion perfectly sets the tone as you start to build the floor.
This record cements an exciting future for the label, as they look to continue elaborating on their catalogue, ever-evolving and expanding their width of sounds with one of the most exciting prospects currently in the German capital.

After touching our hearts with his appearance on our first VA, it became clear that his sound and his message deserved a deeper exploration. The result is the Salsa! Esoteric Ears is a new label from Barcelona’s Conor Brophy.

Its first release comes from an unsung hero of the early 00s: Julian Foddy. As Katakana, Foddy released a string of now sought-after EPs, with a signature, brooding sound in the sweet spot between progressive, breaks and tech house. EARS 01 represents Katakana’s first release in over two decades, archival tracks forgotten for 20 years but that sound like they could have been produced yesterday, perfectly tuned for contemporary dance floors and listeners.

Side-long A1 ‘Incline’ is a driving but patient percussive progressive groove: heavy but spacious. On side B the stabs and bass pressure of ‘Xii’ are primed for peak time play; B2 ‘Fear of the Unknown’ is more heads down and pensive, with gradually unfurling hopeful melodies, perfect for mornings and after hours.

At the end of the project’s 20th anniversary celebrations, ROME tolls in the next era of the band with a fresh and visionary album: ‘The Tower’.  ROME’s new and ever more mature sound is informed by a radically minimalist folk approach, with nonetheless charmingly lush arrangements. ‘The Tower’ is an introspective and enigmatic work at whose centre stands nothing less than ROME’s raison d’etre: The Great Work and the sacrifices both necessary and essential on the demanding path to light. As an unreachable bulwark against the general decline of every value in life, the tower would have been erected long ago to defend the coast.

It would have been raised on a rocky platform resting on the sea floor. It would have been joined to the continent by a thin tongue of sand. It would have offered a heroic, magical point of view. A place for our claim to know and point out vaster horizons. It would have stood firm on the ramparts. This isolated tower would not have been just a refuge for more or less mystic escape, but also a post of resistance and combat.

Random Factor's 'On The Air' EP is a hugely sought-after classic by those who know. It came on Ralph Lawson's ever-reliable 20/20 Vision and now, as it turns 25 years old, he has decided it is the right time to get it remastered and reissued. 'On The Air' is first up on this fine EP from Carl Finlow and it has serene synths that bring to mind Detroit techno soul over pulsing bass and slick drums. 'Lockdown' has a raw vocoder vocal over punchy drums and twitchy synth stabs and 'Undercurrent' is another weapon that has more than withstood the test of time as it bumps along on funky drums and is overlaid with more playful synth patterns. 'Disconnect' is a crunchy and 8-bit closer with pixelated synths and screwy acid lines. Superb.

Barranquilla born multi-instrumentalist Pernett is undoubtedly a true pioneer in fusing Colombian folklore with electronic elements. Back in 2003, when he released his first album “Música Para Pick Up”, Humberto was immediately seen as genius by some, crazy and outrageous by others. How dare he incorporate synthesizers into traditional music? What would be called this avant-garde genre where gaitas, traditional drums and keyboards come together? To this date, Pernett has released 6 albums, worked with an impressive number of prestigious artists such as Phil Manzanera, Calle 13, Novalima, or Quantic, and is still influencing whole generations of forward-thinking musicians.

Originally released from is latest album, “Vamos A Hacer” and El Pajarito have been edited for the occasion, by talented recording engineer Benjamin Calais AKA Ben Matik,

A-side “Vamos A Hacer - Ben Matik Instrumental Edit” is a joint collaboration between Pernett and renown British producer Will Holland aka Quantic. A heavy blend of funky breaks and cumbia. A 7-minutes version, exclusive to this 10″, has been especially taken out from the masters vault, and edited by Ben Matik: the original short version takes a unexpected turn to a completely freaked-out “Puya” rhythm, where gaitas and synths perfectly merge together.

B-side “El Pajarito - Ben Matik Instrumental Edit” is a deep downtempo anthem, a perfect fusion of powerful electronic beats, 808 bass, analog synths and gaitas. special attention should be paid to the enchanting voice of Diana Pereira on this one.

The Vessel Recordings Group label is headed up by Ira James who has shown he has great taste when it comes to tapping into global house sounds. Matias Aguayo returns with Anenoa, a vibrant and imaginative new album arriving May 29, 2026. Known for continually redefining the possibilities of electronic music, Aguayo’s latest work expands his exploration of voice, rhythm, and collective experience — creating songs that invite participation as much as they reward listening.

Across more than two decades, Aguayo has remained one of the most inventive figures in contemporary electronic music. From co-founding the influential duo Closer Musik, to his long-standing creative relationship with Kompakt, and the creation of the genre-defying C meme label, Aguayo has consistently pushed dance music beyond convention — blending raw electronics, storytelling, humor, and performance into something deeply human and alive.

Now based in Mexico, Aguayo’s music has absorbed the vibrant energy of community-driven dance culture. Much of Anenoa is sung in Spanish and shaped by a spirit o collaboration that runs throughout the record. The Is It Balearic crew has long held down all things blissed out and downtempo, and their once secretive but now essential side label Magic Wand is doing just as much vital work. Veteran house head Peter Blaker is next up after an already solid showing on Razor-N-Tape in April, and he offers two lush flips. Since 2019, Amsterdam-based curator Pieter Jansen has used his yeyeh label as a vehicle for carefully considered (and sometimes unlikely) ‘first time’ collaborations between different experimental and avant-garde artists including Eversines, Carolina Eyck, Greetje Bijma and Oceanic. After pairing saxophonist/composer/producer Jerzy Maczyński with fellow Polish experimentalist Waclaw Zimpel on 2021 collaborative release Sariani (which was credited to Jerry&ThePelicanSystem in a nod to the former’s earlier album for Warner Music’s Polish Free Jazz series), yeyeh founder Pieter Jansen had an idea. That simple idea – getting Maczyński in the studio with Chicagoan DJ/producer Hieroglyphic Being – was the genesis of this record, the debut album by Universal Harmonies & Frequencies. In June 2022, Hieroglyphic Being flew to Amsterdam to spend five days improvising with Maczyński in a rented studio beneath Volkshotel, under the watchful eye of recording and mix engineer Rein De Sauvage Nolting, better known in electronic music circles for his work as RDS. During those sessions, 26 long, improvised compositions were recorded, with Maczyński contributing saxophones and electronic tools, and Hieroglyphic Being laying down synthesizer parts and vocals. These sessions were captured on film by VLF (Katarzyna Debska), who later created the artwork and visual language for this record release. Some days after the recording sessions, Sauvage Nolting – who had delivered artistic input during the improvisations – sat down with Jansen to select 13 pieces to put forward for the album and a loose conceptual framework. It was then that the hard work began. While a decision was taken to present some improvisations in full, most of what you will hear on Tune IN, as the album is titled, is based on fragments of improvisation. The resultant pieces were reconfigured, re-worked and re-produced by Maczyński and Sauvage Nolting over many months, and in discussion with Hieroglyphic Being. Maczyński added more layers of instrumentation, creating a “whole digital band of reed instruments” – a method he previously utilized on Sariani. What you hear when you play the record defies categorization. It is rooted in a specific moment in time and the spontaneity of musical improvisation – both Maczyński and Hieroglyphic Being are experienced improvisers, albeit with different musical instruments and tools – but also the product of extensive post-production and reflective re-shaping. It is not free-jazz, ambient, electronica, rhythmic cubism (as Hieroglyphic Being’s distinctive sound has previously been called), or avant-garde experimentalism, but something that combines all these musical approaches and more, with a sprinkling of far-sighted futurism mixed in. It is a magical and mystical meeting of musical minds that will pass the test of time in decades to come.

Nobody thinks it is strange anymore that an artist changes his nom de plume to reflect a new direction; a metamorphosis of his art. As listeners, we must resist the temptation to compare a new expression with previous works but instead allow the artist the necessary leeway to follow where his muse leads. So it is with Lone Wolf & Friends. There is a departure from his previous work that is his alone to define. We are simply recipients and must let the work wash over us like waves on the beach and be slightly moulded by the force of each one.

By definition, a Lone Wolf has no friends so we are left with the nagging question of why the name has significance. Perhaps Lone Wolf’s friends are his previous artistic incarnations and although he alone created this work, those earlier versions were there to encourage his creative drive. We are never truly loners, are we?

Coming correct with a heavily garnished follow-up to his first drop of neo-junglist delicacies, Skins is back with a second volume of Sauce Direct. The name tells you all you need to know about the school of breakbeat science he's coming from, but the learned craft of drum edits is offset by a mischievous thirst for disruption, presenting the matter on this platter as a stand-out serving on the plentiful menu of modern-day jungle.

'Strictly Hardcore' brings together the heavy weather of quintessential dub techno with deft, stepped breaks for a brooding heads down tear-out while 'Lost In The Sauce' revels in vintage synth melancholia as a unique backdrop to Skins' own brand of rabid Amen chops.

'Reaper's Kiss' switches stance with some heavy sub wobble and the teased flicker of Apaches in a patient half-time roll out of serious soundsystem reverence. There's space for some snappier breaks in the second half, but this cut is testament to Sauce Direct being a space for wider ideas beyond textbook jungle.

'Double Dose' keeps the stylistic dexterity on lock with a swerve towards trance-speckled lead lines, deployed with a necessary restraint to play nice on top of the nimble breaks. It's an approach which could be so easily overcooked - in Skins' hands the balance of flavours is on point, capping off another essential round in this must-check series of white label delicacies for heads with real taste.

This is a superb 10", featuring incredible remixes from the legendary Bay B Kane, and the phenomenal Madcap...both mixes are drop dead gorgeous!

This is the gloriously remastered version of one of the first Kniteforce EPs! This EP is proper old skool, made when Cru-l-t was just learning how to produce, so it is rough around the edges. Even so, it has a unique charm and Kniteforce has been asked to repress it on multiple occasions.

The legendary opening track also serves as a guidepost for the bold personal and social material that follows — as well as the gorgeous folk-rock arrangements that underpin the New York native’s most commercially successful work.

Sourced from the original master tapes, pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing, housed in a Stoughton jacket complete with a four-page insert, and strictly limited to 3,000 numbered copies, Mobile Fidelity’s 180g 33RPM LP of Verities & Balderdash presents Chapin’s fourth full-length in audiophile quality for the first time on vinyl. Captured during a golden era for sonics and production, the Top 5 effort features remarkable tonal balance, instrumental separation, and organic naturalism. Those valued aspects come into supreme focus on this reissue, which plays with dead-quiet surfaces and a low noise floor.

The newfound clarity, openness, and imaging underscore the lasting appeal of Chapin’s tender deliveries, soulful timbre, and careful phrasing. Every word comes across with incredible realism, while his underrated guitar playing occupies its own distinctive space. Certified double platinum, Verities & Balderdash resonated with the times and public. “Cat’s in the Cradle” reached No. 1 on the chart on its way to being inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Conveying emotions that range from melancholic to carefree, Chapin is as much of a singer as a storyteller. He assumes the voice of multiple characters within a single narrative. During the quirky “30,000 Pounds of Bananas,” a tale based on a delivery-truck accident in 1965, Chapin alters his delivery, pronunciation, and diction to become an old man reflecting on the mishap and mess. The tempo, too, adjusts to match the speed of the vehicle Chapin describes.

Adorned with timely laugh tracks to reinforce the bittersweet humor, the stripped-down “Six String Orchestra” takes everything up another notch, with Chapin intentionally missing guitar notes or playing a broken passage to illustrate the failures of the hopeful protagonist who doesn’t have what’s required to make it as an artist.

Chapin, of course, did not have any such problem. The lynchpin of a career cut short by a tragic traffic incident, Verities & Balderdash is Exhibit A of the savvy craft, feeling, and perspective he lent to American music.

Barking-born Jane Fitz, and Transmigration label founder David Fogarty, curate a collection of tracks from East London and Essex’s rich but largely overlooked constellation of independent record labels and distributors operating from London’s E16 to the edges of the Thames estuary during the 1990s.

Mysterious Vastness documents a hidden and largely detached scene that only forms into something coherent with hindsight. From a time when record labels could press and hand-distribute 1000 copies locally, the late 80s acid house and outdoor rave scenes were moving from the fields to the clubs of London and DJs such as Colin Dale, Colin Faver and Darren Emerson were dominating the airwaves and parties with a distinct mix of other-worldly techno, trance and out-there house music. Among the seemingly bland post-war housing estates and factories, a scattered handful of producers were experimenting with early versions of music production software to create an exotic, end-of-the-century soundtrack to the suburban-meets-industrial landscape.

The compilation features a selection of finds from East London’s second hand record or charity shops over a period of 15 years. Many of which have featured in Jane’s sets over the years, most notably the “Beyond The A13" Podcast for Furthur Electronix. A mix she described at the time as the soundtrack to an area of London “totally bereft of natural beauty, but to me, somehow always full of mystery and wonder.”

Closing the A-side, "Space Jam" shifts into more atmospheric territories with floating vocals and airy synth pads, moving the dancefloor toward a deeper, more mental vibe.

On the flip side, the hypnotic bassline of the B1 "Bullet Train" sets the pace immediately. The track nods to 90s progressive house through its structure while offering distinctive deep tech and dub techno sounds.

Finally, "Haag" wraps up the record with a subtle blend of IDM, ambient, and dub techno, a sound aesthetic that might remind a certain In Limbo EP released on Houseum's sub-label, Ellipse Records. It acts as the perfect closing track, inviting the listener to wind down and float away after the intensity of the previous tracks.

Om Unit says of this release 'For me it's another milestone as a DNB fan.. Being allowed to come back to 31 again with another shadow boxing version, being one of only a tiny handful of people being allowed to remix this classic truly is an honour, let alone twice! Also working with Thing on "something ancient" was a real blessing not only because he's original and convincing with his own work but also I think he's like me, he does his own thing without adhering to too many of the insular rules that have made dnb such a closed room over the years, and so creating this cinematic piece just happened naturally and I really love the results.

The Collective Rhythm Network (Hamilton, Canada), is a weekly radio show that focuses on underground dance music past and present. This EP was produced in celebration of the radio show's 20th Anniversary, featuring tracks by Detroit's Rick Wilhite, Ron Allen and Terrence Parker !

Rick The Godson' Wilhite is a Detroit born producer/label owner/record store owner/DJ and founding member of Detroit's 3 Chairs. Rick also releases music under his Vibes New & Rare Music label. For this release Rick has provided us with a brand-new track entitled Mind Control' - a thumping late night dance floor stomper
reminiscent of early 3 Chairs, that is sure to keep the crowd jumping!

Ron Allen is a Toronto based JUNO Nominated music producer/songwriter/DJ and founder of legendary dance music label Strobe Records that was instrumental in developing the house and techno genres in Canada in the early 90's. Whispers' by The R.A.S.E. (Ron Allen Sound Experience), features melodic keys, dreamy vocals and a groovy, head-nod inducing bassline that sounds just as fresh now as it did when it was originally released in 1994.

Terrence Parker ( TP') was born and raised in Detroit and has become legendary for his skillful turntablism style of playing House Music. Terrence has released more than 100 recordings on his Intangible Records & Soundworks label and various other international record labels. With lush keys, and soaring vocals, Embrace (The Original Melody Vibe)' is one of the deeper cuts in the Intangible Records & Soundworks catalogue.

Perlon is more than happy to announce the new 12" by mister MATT JOHN, who is part of the Perlon family since his debut release "Joker Family Park One" (12"/ PERL49) in 2005. Only one year later the follow up "Joker Family Park Two" was born (2x12"/ PERL54). Since then, Matt had a couple of releases on Berlin based label "Bar25" and recently a 12" on "Holographic Island", his own imprint. Besides that, he tours the clubs worlwide to present his very unique sound. It's good to know, that there's more to come in 2009, watch out!
